"So Bell wanna tell us who your lady friend was" Genya asked as they walked down the street.
"Genya I'm gonna kill you one of these days" Bell responded holding his side.
"Yo Bell you doing alright you look like your still in pain" Zenitsu asked.
"Yeah I'm fine pretty sure I just got bruised ribs that's all" Bell responded.
"Wow guess those potions works wonders huh" Genya asked.
"You said it" Bell winced as he took a breath.
"Rengoku how much farther we gotta walk I don't think Bell and Inosuke can walk much longer" Genya asked over the sound of protest from both boys.
"Just another block and we'll be there" Rengoku answered.
After that the group walked in silence until the came upon a ruined church.
"Alright first order of business when we join is we're getting her out of this dump" Bell said.
"Agreed" everyone else said.
Rengoku then knocked on the door and waited for a few seconds. After a few seconds he knocked again only this time the door opened to reveal a woman shorter than all of them.
"Yes can I help you" Hestia asked.
"Yes we're looking for a familia to join and heard you didn't have any members would you allow us to join" Rengoku asked.
"So the five of you want to join a no name familia" Hestia asked wearily.
"Yes that's right we would like to join if you'll have us" Bell said.
"Wow I didn't actually expect anyone to join me please come in so I can give you a falna" Hestia said.
The group then walked inside and each of them began the ceremony to get falnas on their backs. After the ceremony was done Hestia handed each one of them a sheet.
"Uh what are these" Inosuke asked.
"Status sheets that tell you your stats,level and if you have any skills" Hestia replied.
"What's armory of Sam" Genya asked.
"I have no clue never heard of that before" Hestia replied.
"Aw I don't have any skills" Zenitsu said.
"Do not worry young Zenitsu I don't have one either" Rengoku said comforting the boy.
"What about you Inosuke" Genya asked.
"I can't read" Inosuke responded handing his paper to Rengoku.
Rengoku looked over his sheet and saw that Inosuke did indeed have a skill called shredded sword.
"So what does it do" Inosuke asked.
"Pretty much your weapons will do a lot more damage to attackers then they normally do" Rengoku replied.
"What about you Bell you get a skill" Rengoku asked.
"Yeah it's says Spartans rage so my guess is I get angry or some shit" Bell said.
Hestias eyes widened in shock at Bells skill but quickly recomposed herself. Clearing her throat she began to talk.
"Now that we have everything settled the church can only fit two people comfortably do y'all have a place to stay" Hestia asked.
"Yeah we've rented rooms at the hostess of fertility for the time being you're welcome to join us if you would like" Rengoku replied while offering her to join them.
"Maybe tomorrow right now I just want to get some sleep but swing by tomorrow before you go dungeon diving and decide who you want as you captain and vice captain" Hestia said. She then waved goodnight to the group and went back downstairs.
"Well so who are we gonna have as captain then" Zenitsu asked trying to throw his hat in the ring.
"Rengoku" everyone else replied.
"And I'll make young Bell my vice captain" Rengoku responded.
"Wait why me" Bell asked.
"Inosuke's dumb,Zenitsus too horny and Genya is to crass for some people therefore you're really the only option" Rengoku said.
"Alright fuck that was honest shit" Bell said.
"Well I think it's time we turn in for the night Inosuke and Bell tomorrow you will not go into the dungeon I want your injuries to heal a little more beforehand. Go and explore the city some more and don't run into any silverbacks this time" Rengoku said.
"Haha very funny dickhead" Bell said.
"Now is that anyway to talk to your captain" Rengoku joked.
Bell just groaned and the group walked back to the inn and slept. The next morning when Bell woke up he went downstairs for breakfast. When he got downstairs he saw that it was empty except for a dwarf woman standing behind the bar cleaning a mug with a rag. The woman hearing the boy turned around.
"Bout time you woke up brat your friends already left" the woman said.
"I know our captain said Inosuke and I have the day off cause of that silverback attack yesterday"
"Oh shit that was you guys how'd you fair" she asked.
"Long enough for some amazons to kill the thing but broken ribs hurt" Bell replied.
"I bet they do kid come on eat some breakfast it's on the house for what ya did yesterday"
"Oh thanks sorry I don't know everyone's names yet who are you" Bell asked.
"Names Mia Grand kid but everyone calls me mama Mia you included also I'm the owner"she told him.
Bell nodded his head and yawned as he sat at the bar.
"So when did my friends leave" Bell asked.
"Well the dude with the lions mane left with the crybaby and buff guy while pig boy went to explore the city" Mia answered.
"Great the cunts didn't wake me up" Bell thought.
"So what are ya having kid"
"You make pancakes"
"Yeah how many you want"
"Four and some coffee please"
"Alright coming right up"
Bell sat there waiting for his food having idle chatter with Mia. After a few more minutes his food came out and as he was getting ready to eat he felt someone tap his shoulder. Bell turned around and saw Hestia standing behind him.
"Oh morning goddess what's up" Bell asked.
"Why aren't you in the dungeon today" Hestia asked.
"Inosuke and I got attacked by a silverback that broke out of the dungeon so Rengoku wanted us to take the day off before we head in" Bell answered.
"Oh alright where's Inosuke by the way"
"No clue and I'm not looking for him again it's Genya's turn this time. By the way why are you here goddess you need something" Bell asked.
"No I was just on my way to work and I wanted to check up on you and Inosuke since I didn't see you at the church" Hestia replied.
"Oh we'll have a good day at work goddess"
"Bye Bell" Hestia waved as she walked out the door.
Bell went back to eating his pancakes and just as he finished he felt another tap on his shoulder. Bell once again turned around and saw that it was Tiona this time.
"Oh morning Tiona what are you doing here"
"Good morning to you to Bell,Loki sent me to fetch you for some reason" Tiona said.
"Uh alright let me finish my drink and will go"
"Em nah let's go now" Tiona said playfully as she grabbed Bell the his collar and dragged him out.
Bell didn't resist because he had a feeling it wouldn't do anything so he just let it happen. The people on the street were snickering at Bell as they watched him get dragged along. Bell meanwhile had a someone shoot me look on his face. After about 5 minutes of this they arrived at the twilight manor.
"Nice place" Bell thought.
"So where's Loki" Bell asked.
"In her office follow me" Tiona said as she started skipping towards the door. Bell just sighed and followed her as he was following her however he heard a voice he didn't want to hear.
"Hey human what are you doing here" Lefyia shouted.
"None of business and why do you care" Bell said.
"Uh cause I live here and who even gave you permission to be here anyway"
"Oh yeah guess you do. So it's this way right Tiona" Bell asked pointing towards the end of the hall.
"Yup go down there and take a right and it's the last door on the left" Tiona replied.
"Alright thanks Tiona" Bell waved as he walked away.
"Human come back here we're not done here" Lefyia said.
"Don't care bye" Bell said as he flicked her off.
Tiona just giggled while Lefyia was fuming in anger. Bell walked down the hall and came upon the door Tiona pointed him to and knocked. A few seconds later the door opened but Bell didn't see anyone. Bell looked around the door until he heard a voice.
"Down here"
Bell looked down and saw the prum captain of the Loki familia.
"Oh that's my bad sorry about that" Bell said.
"That's no problem I'm guessing you're not from around here" Finna asked.
"Yeah something like that,anyway I'm here to see Loki is she in here.
Before Finn could reply he heard a voice come from the room.
"Yeah I'm here ya brat come on in" Loki said.
Finn then opened the door wide enough so Bell could fit through and walked in.
"So why is it you want to see me" Bell asked as he approached her desk.
"Here pick this up" Loki said as she fished a bracelet out of her desk.
Finn's eyes widened a bit before going back to his normal jovial expression. Bell did as he was told and picked the bracelet up no problem before putting it on his left wrist. Loki stared at him with a mixture of surprise and happiness.
"So you called me over here to give me a bracelet this a goddess way of courting" Bell quipped.
"Bell flick your wrist" Loki said.
Bell looked at her suspiciously before doing what he was told. He flicked his wrist and a shield materialized out of thin air.
"Wow holy shit that's cool" Bell said.
"Keep it then" Loki said.
"Are you sure I'm not even part of your familia" Bell said.
"Bell hand the bracelet over to Finn" Loki said.
Bell took the bracelet off and handed it to Finn only to watch him struggle to hold up the bracelet. Bell took it back so Finna didn't break his hand.
"Bell,Finn is a level six and I'm guessing your a brand new level 1 am I right" Loki asked.
"Yeah but how'd you know that" Bell asked.
"I can sense your stronger since the last time we met, anyway we're getting off topic that shield right there let's whoever it deems worthy to use. You get where I'm going with this" Loki said.
"So you're telling me this shield thinks I'm worthy" Bell asked.
"Yup,Bell you're the first person in over 200 years to be able to use it and if my hunch is correct there is one more thing you can use but I gotta track that down" Loki said.
"But why are you giving me these things don't they hold some sentimental value to you" Bell asked.
"Yes they do but Bell let me ask you something you're a demon slayer aren't you" Loki asked.
"How did you know that" Bell asked.
"Because of our encounter yesterday and the fact you and your friend fought a silverback falna less and did significant damage to it and you also just confirmed it" Loki replied smugly.
"I've also met Rengoku before so seeing you with him helped to" Loki added.
"So I'm guessing you know why we're here then"
"No and I won't find out unless you want to tell me I'm just gonna go about my business until I find that last item for you" Loki said.
"Well I don't know what to say thank you Loki" Bell said.
"No problem kid just make sure to not die before you kick Muzan's ass and we'll be even deal" Loki said stick out her hand.
"Deal" Bell agreed as he shook Loki's hand.
Bell then left and headed to the guild building cause he knew he had to register. When he got there he walked up to the desk and was greeted by a half elf named Eina Tulle. She helped him do all the necessary paperwork and gave him lessons on the first five floors of the dungeon. Bell thanked her and left having gotten some advice from Eina he should buy some armor. Bell remembered she told him to go to the 9th floor of babel tower to find something within his price range. Bell then exited the elevator and explored for about an hour finding nothing he liked. Just as he was getting ready to leave however he heard that whistling again and followed it to a back room in one of the shops and then Bell found exactly what he was looking for. Buried behind all the scrap and clutter was a box of light armor and just the type Bell was looking for.
"Hmm armor looks pretty nice but I wonder what that whistling is" Bell wondered as he saw the name Welf Crozo etched on the back of the armor.
Bell then took the box to the clerk and paid for it heading back to the hostess of fertility. As he was walking back he ran into Rengoku and his group and asked them how the dungeon was. Rengoku replied telling him it was fun and they made it to about the 10th floor before things became challenging. Rengoku then asked where Inosuke was and Bell told him it was his turn to find him. Rengoku let out a heartedly laugh and pat Bell on the head. The group got back to the inn and Bell put his armor away ate dinner with the group and went to bed ready to go to the dungeon tomorrow.
"Hmm I wonder how brightly you'll shine tomorrow" a woman though as she took a sip out of her glass of wine.
