Bell opened his eyes and saw a city. He saw men in strange armor fighting and a man as white as a ghost fighting a giant statue that had come to life. He blinked and the saw that same man climbing through what looked to be pits of fire and people falling towards them. He blinked again and then saw the man as white as a ghost right in front of him.
Bell startled fell back and landed on his butt while the man just stood there.
"So this is who Loki thinks can bring peace to this wretched world pathetic" the man spat.
Bell said nothing and just stared at the man towering nearly 8 feet. The man said nothing his eyes just boring into Bells skull until Bell finally spoke.
"Who are you" Bell asked as he stood up.
"Who I am boy is the one who's weapons you're wielding"
"So you're him you're Kratos the man who killed gods" Bell asked a twinge of nervousness in his voice.
"That I am boy and for a descendent you're pretty pathetic"
"Oh well my bad I wasn't born into a city where I'm trained when I turn 7 to 20 dick" Bell said losing his nervousness.
"Well at least you have some fire in you, I mean the fight with that man was pathetic you should've won without a scratch on you"
"Well hate to tell you this but I'm still a kid only 15 not gonna be that good of a fighter"
"Doesn't matter next time do better I fought a god when I was younger than you are to save my brother"
"Again I wasn't born to a warrior society and why are you even talking to me you're dead"
"I am and I am not but considering that lack luster showing of what you call a fight I suppose that means I'll have to help you"
"Oh yeah and how are you gonna do that" Bell asked.
Kratos said nothing but opened his palm and faster then Bell could see or register he hit him right in his left eye.
"Ah fuck the hell was that for" Bell said clutching his eye.
"There I gave you Odin's eye that should help you in the coming battles" Kratos said.
"And just how did you come across this"
"Because I'm a god killer boy take a guess"
"So what does this eye do exactly" Bell asked.
"Figure it out yourself now wake up"
Bell then awoke and found himself on his bed his left eye hurting. He then heard someone knocking on his door. Putting his hand over his eye to try and alleviate some of the pain he walked over and opened the door. When his door swung open he saw Hestia standing outside.
"Hmm oh morning Hestia what's up"
"Morning Bell is it alright if I come in I have a feeling we need to talk" Hestia said.
"Um sure yeah come on in make yourself comfortable" Bell responded opening the door the rest of the way.
Hestia then walked in while Bell shut the door his hand still on his left eye while Hestia took a seat on his chair by his desk.
"So what is it you want to talk about" Bell asked.
"Well I woke up and just had a feeling that you needed someone to talk to, is your eye ok" she asked.
"No not really I had this weird dream and now my eye hurts like hell"
"Oh what type of dream"
"You probably won't believe me but I spoke to Kratos and he said as a descendent of his I'm pretty pathetic"
"W-wait you spoke to him how" Hestia asked clearly panicked.
"I don't know but he said my fight against Soma's captain was pathetic and that I should've been able to beat him without a scratch" Bell replied.
"Did he say anything else anything at all"
"He gave me a gift said here's Odin's eye or something then he hit me" Bell said.
"Bell can you move your hand from your eye please" Hestia asked hoping she was wrong in what she thought.
Bell did as she asked and Hestia gasped in shock putting her hands over her mouth.
"Hestia what's wrong" Bell asked a little nervous.
"Bell go look in a mirror" Hestia said barely above a whisper.
Bell did as she asked standing up from his bed and making his way to his mirror. When he got there he nearly screamed. Because where instead of a ruby red eye was supposed to be was now an eye so blue it looked like an ocean. Along with a bruise circling his eye. Bells knees felt weak he had to brace himself against the dresser to stop himself from falling. Hestia seeing this quickly grabbed him to stop him from falling and helped him back to his bed. When she set him down Bell nearly collapsed onto the bed. There was silence for a few moments while Hestia allowed him to collect his thoughts before she spoke again.
"So it seems you have a gods eye"she said.
"But h-how it was just a d-dream h-how the hell was he able to touch me" Bell asked clearly panicked.
"What did he say to you what were his exact words" Hestia asked.
"I said he was dead and his reply was I am and I am not. What does this mean Hestia please tell me you know"
"I'm sorry Bell but I don't I wish I could tell you more" she said
After a few minutes of Hestia calming Bell down the two talked about his god eye.
"So what exactly can this god eye do" Bell asked looking at it in a handheld mirror.
"Hmm well if it's Odin's you should be able to look into the the future a little bit don't know about the knowledge part but you should be able to change back to red" Hestia said.
"Oh that's good don't want to lose these my grandpa said it's the only thing I have from my father" Bell said.
"Ah so that's why you were freaking out so much"
"Yeah I never met my parents so wanna keep what I do have from them so any idea how to switch it back" He asked.
"I have one idea but it's second hand knowledge so it might not work anymore" she responded.
"I'll still try it and if it doesn't work I'll just have to wear an eyepatch I guess"
"Alright close your eyes and just focus on you normal red eye picture it in your mind and it should come back" Hestia stated.
Bell did as she asked and focused on what his left eye should look like. When he opened his eye again he saw that it was still an ocean blue and was disappointed.
"Well looks like it's time for an eye patch" Bell joked but Hestia could hear the disappointment in his voice.
"Hey don't worry just cause we failed doesn't mean it won't work just gotta keep trying" she said as she held his hands.
"Well for the time being we should cover it cause people are gonna have questions" Bell said.
Hestia agreed with him and helped wrapped some bandages around his eye and came up with the cover story that his eye was injured during the fight with Soma's captain.
"So how's Lily doing" Bell asked trying to get used to only using one eye.
"She's alright Soma took her falna away and forbid anyone from his familia from going after her" Hestia replied.
"What about that shithead he had as a captain"
"Currently rotting in a Ganesha familia cell for the next 30 years"
"Damn must've been one corrupt bastard makes me regret not killing him"
"Well that could've brought trouble down on the familia even if he started it the guild just can't have adventurers killing each other in the streets"
"I guess you're right but still feels like it'll bite me in the ass later"
"Bell if it does at that point go ahead and kill him, but enough about all that what are your plans for the day" Hestia asked.
"Gonna swing by the hostess and pay Mia for the damage I caused then try and track down the smith who made my armor, might make a contract with him who knows" Bell answered.
"Well I've already told everyone else but I will be gone for a few days because of denatus and a banquet afterwards"
"Alright have fun and stay safe can't have our goddess dying right after she got her children" Bell quipped.
"Oh don't worry I'll be fine besides what type of mother would I be leaving my children behind" Hestia said as she ruffled his hair. "Now get outta here and get some breakfast before you head out and make sure to explain the eye to the others to"
"Yes mom I'll make sure to tell them I've also grown a few inches as well" Bell joked.
Hestia said nothing but playfully shoved Bell out of his room closing the door behind her. Bell did what Hestia asked and told his familia about his dream. His familia was obviously worried especially Nezuko who had a whole crash course about this and at the end was still confused.
"Sorry this is all so confusing" Nezuko said.
"It's alright I'm just as confused as you are but cast that out of your mind for now it's your first trip to the dungeon today so go get ready and Genya will show you the ropes" Bell replied with a smile.
"Uh why do I have to" Genya asked.
"Cause it's Zenitsu and a girl alone bad idea don't know what he'll say and Inosuke is Inosuke" Bell responded.
"Uh fine I'll make sure the princess doesn't get killed" Genya said rolling his eyes.
"Thank you Genya" Bell responded in a sarcastic voice.
"Now then if that's all Bell no dungeon for a few days now you two" Rengoku said looking towards Zenitsu and Inosuke. "Do whatever you want but behave yourselves"
With that Rengoku left to his office to do his paperwork and have a nice cup of tea.
"Well anyway I'm off gotta couple of errands to run today" Bell said.
"Oh I'll come with you then since Rengoku's letting us do what we want" Inosuke said.
"And I'll go to the dungeon with them" Zenitsu said pointing towards Nezuko and Genya.
"Alright just control yourself down there don't feel like have to dealing with a sexual harassment complaint" Bell joked.
Zenitsu said nothing except flipping Bell the bird and running off to get his stuff.
"Ready Inosuke" Bell asked.
"Yup let's go kick those errands ass"
Bell rolled his eye and the two walked out on the street heading towards the hostess.
"So I heard that waitress is scared of you what are you gonna do" he asked.
"Nothing known her for barely two months if she wants to cut ties cause she saw what I'm like in a fight fine with me" Bell replied.
"What about the rest of the waitstaff" Inosuke asked.
"Most of them probably don't care considering they're ex adventurers but you bring a good point they'll probably back up their girl" Bell said.
The two the arrived at the entrance to the hostess.
"Look Inosuke we're just here to pay off the damages if they wanna talk we'll talk later ok" Bell said sternly.
"Alright sorry Bell I know how hard it is for you to connect to people and it looked like you hit it off with them" Inosuke said backing off.
"I know but what's done is done I don't really care anymore let's just pay and leave ok"
Inosuke agreed and the two walked in. When the two entered they saw Mia cleaning the bar. Off to the right they saw the two cat waitress glaring at Bell with fury and what looked to be a tinge of guilt and shock. Off behind the bar was the only other human waitress besides Syr sweeping barely paying the two any mind but still keeping her eye on them. Ryu was off to their left just staring at Bell and Inosuke. It was clear to the two that the entire establishment had their guard up and would be ready to fight in a moments notice.
"Wow Bell looks like you made one hell of an impression" Inosuke said.
Bell said nothing but rolled his still visible eye not covered by the bandage and walked up to the bar where Mia was working. Inosuke waited by the door but noticed how all eyes watched Bell and paid him no mind. Bell reached the bar and placed a bag of valis on the wooden surface.
"For the damage should be enough for the repairs anyway see ya Mia" Bell said keeping his poker face.
Before Bell could turn to walk away Mia called out to him.
"He get ya in the eye kid" she asked.
"Eh somewhat let's just say if I didn't move when I did I'd be one eye less" Bell responded not really answering the question.
Mia stared at the boy knowing he dodged her question and was about to ask again in another fashion but a voice Inosuke was nervous to hear broke the conversation.
"Bell" Syr said moving towards him.
"Hello Syr" Bell replied somewhat uninterested.
"Um can we talk privately" she asked somewhat timid.
"Can't today got some stuff to do" he responded.
"Oh well when would be a good time then"
"I don't know we're about to be real busy the coming days as we're getting ready to head to the middle floors" Bell said.
The bar became so quiet after that you could hear a pin drop.
"Wait the middle aren't you still level 1" the woman sweeping behind the counter said.
"Nope leveled up and if I didn't I wouldn't have been able to win that fight,anyway we've spent enough time here today come on Inosuke let's go"
The two then walked out of the hostess leaving a sad Syr and an angry staff.
"Well you handled that better than I thought you were" Inosuke said.
"Like I said pig boy haven't even known them two months not gonna shout at them for no reason, now let's go find that smith so we can be done for the day" Bell said his mood brighting.
The two then walked into the Tower of Babel and headed to the floor where Bell originally got the armor. The two passed a red haired man yelling at the clerk but both paid them no mind as they walked into the back. Searching for a couple of minutes neither could find armor made by Welf Crozo so decided to head to the clerk where he was still arguing with the man.
"Yo how come I can't find any armor made by Welf Crozo that's one of the best armors I've ever worn" Bell said breaking up the argument.
The red haired man hearing this just started laughing with Bell and Inosuke looking at him weirdly.
"You hear that bastard a satisfied customer right here" the man said.
It took all of two seconds for Bell to piece together what he meant.
"So I'm assuming you're him then I'd like to talk business" Bell said.
The two were now sitting outside on a bench overlooking the plaza Inosuke was standing off to the side sensing that what they were gonna talk about stayed between them.
"So you say my armors one of the best you've ever worn huh" Welf asked.
"Yeah it was light and durable was able to take many hits before shattering and it didn't get in my way when I needed to use these" Bell said lifting up his arms showing his blades.
"Damn that's some good craftsmanship doesn't even look like they need maintenance yet they look older than anything I've ever seen" Welf said as he inspected the blades.
"Well depending on how this meeting goes maybe I'll let you in on the secret one day" Bell said.
"Ah yes so you're wanting to make a contract I'm guessing" Welf asked.
Bell didn't respond but nodded his head.
"Alright but I have on condition"
"And that is" Bell asked raising an eyebrow.
"Please let me join your party" Welf asked bowing his head slightly.
"Alright sure but we're about to head to the middle floors if you're up for that" Bell said.
"Damn the middle floors sounds like I'll finally get my level up" Welf joked.
"Well if you're that close might as well means I'll get better armor" Bell joked back.
Both boys laughed shook hands and then parted each heading back to their homes.
"Well you two seem to have gotten along" Inosuke quipped.
"Well he's a really chill dude so it wasn't that hard and besides I think we'll be able to become good friends" Bell said.
Inosuke agreed and the two started heading back to their home. As they were walking the two kept having idle chatter until Bell immediately turned around and looked around him keeping a hand on one of his blades.
"Something wrong Bell" Inosuke asked is hands also on his blades.
"I don't know feels like someone keeps watching me" Bell said.
"Wanna tell Rengoku" Inosuke asked.
"I don't know I have a feeling that whoever is, is powerful however" Bell responded
"Well let's hurry home then see how Nezuko did on her first dive" Inosuke said.
"Yeah but act natural don't wanna look even more suspicious" Bell said noticing the looks around them.
The two then started walking home Bell still feeling the eyes on him but was trying not to pay them any mind. What the two didn't see however was a catman standing on a roof glaring at the two.
