"Alright you all ready to head down" Rengoku asked.
He was met with cheers and agreements from his party. But just before they were about to enter the dungeon a voice called out to them.
"Bell" Ryu said suddenly appearing behind him.
"Ah what the fuck where did you come from" Bell said startled.
Ryu not really picking up on the social cue spoke. "I hear you're heading down to the middle floors are you sure that's wise with your injury" Ryu said pointing out his left eye still covered by the bandage.
"I can see just fine Ryu why are you here"
"To warn you about the middle floors you may think they're like the upper floors but they're not where you're heading is where the dungeon will truly bear its fangs so be careful" she said.
Bell stared at her for a moment before answering.
"Alright we'll be careful happy" Bell said.
Ryu said nothing but stared at Bell. Her gaze felt like it would freeze him over had he not seen his fair share of horrors. Had he had a better childhood maybe it would have but then again who's to say he'd be the same person. Finally after what felt like hours she broke her gaze.
"Syr wishes you well"
"Tell her I'll be fine ain't gonna let some cow kill me"
As he turned around however he noticed that none of his party was moving nor were any of the citizens. He turned around to talk to Ryu and noticed she was the same to.
"What the hell" Bell thought.
Then he heard it the sound of boots hitting stone and it was getting closer. He swung his head around and found a woman in a cloak her hood was down so he could see her face and features. Her hair it was white like his and eyes that were two different colors for some reason she looked familiar.
"So I'm guessing you're the one that did this" Bell said gesturing around him.
The woman said nothing and in the blink of an eye she was right in front of Bell.
"She just cleared a 100 feet like it was nothing"Bell thought his instincts screaming at him to run but he had a feeling he would barely get a step away.
"Bell Cranel" the woman said.
"Cranel? Bell thought confused.
"I hear you want information on your family is that correct" the woman said.
Bells eye widened at the prospect.
"Um yeah I'd like to know who my parents were" Bell said.
"Then after your dive head to the guild and ask to see the records of the Hera familia you will find your answers there" the woman said as she then turned around and started walking away.
"Um thank you miss? Bell said.
"My name does not matter and another piece of advice" she stopped and turned around "cast the Amazon out of your heart because you'll soon be enemies"
Bell blinked again and the woman was gone and everyone was moving again. Confused on what just happened he zoned out until he felt someone shaking him.
"Yo Bell you there buddy" Zenitsu said standing in front of Bell.
"Yeah sorry just zoned out anyway we ready" Bell asked.
"Yup Hestia and Nezuko have already seen us off remember"Zenitsu replied.
"Right Then let's get going middle floors here we come" Bell said pushing all of what just happened out of his mind right now he needed to focus.
"I think I get what Ryu was saying when the middle floors would be harder" Bell said as he sliced through four Al Mirages.
Bell and his friends we currently surrounded by Al Mriages and Hellhounds and we're currently on the back foot. Because while they're weak on their own all the monsters were grouped up making it all the more harder. Couple that with the fact that the dungeon has no problem making more monsters meaning that our party of hero's were fighting an enemy that basically didn't get tired.
"Christ there's so many of them" Genya said as he shot a hellhound.
"Just stand firm and don't break formation we've got this" Rengoku said using his flame breathing to kill a bunch of Al Mirages.
Off in a corridor not far from our party were another group of adventures running from a big pack of monsters.
"Sir Ouka there seems to be a group just ahead of us" a woman said.
"Then we'll do a pass parade" Ouka said adjusting the injured woman on his back.
"Sir Ouka" the other woman said taken aback.
"Look we have injured here we need to do this if you feel so strongly about it you're welcome to stay with them" Ouka said.
Nobody else in the party said anything so the woman reluctantly complied. When the group got there they ran right past our hero's with only the woman who protested earlier looking back. Our hero's seeing this we're confused for only a moment before they realized what had just occurred.
"DID THEY JUST FUCKING PASS PARADE US" Genya roared.
"Seems like it" Welf replied using his will-o-wisp spell to redirect a hellhounds blast.
"Well boys seems like we're in for a fun fight" Bell said trying to lighten the mood even though the situation was looking dire.
Before anyone could respond the dungeon started to shake violently causing a hole to open up right underneath our group. The group didn't have time to react as they all fell through the hole for a few seconds before landing hardly on the ground with rocks landing on top of them. When Bell pushed the rocks off him he found him self relatively unharmed. The same can be said for Genya as well. But the rest of the group wasn't as lucky. Welfs leg was pinned under a stone which Bell immediately pushed off him. Rengoku had a rock pinning his arm which he was able to remove by himself but upon seeing his arm realized it was out of its socket. But the two who were worst off were Inosuke and Zenitsu as both were buried under rock.
"Genya I need a hand over here" Bell all but shouted.
The two worked fast to get the crushing weight off their friends and succeed after two minutes. The two were in bad shape both were unconscious but were breathing. But even if they were awake the wouldn't be able to move. Both had their legs broken and had taken head injuries evident by the blood seeping off of their heads. Bell and Genya set their broken legs glad both of the were unconscious. They then attached splints to them which they got from Genya's pack. After that they fashioned makeshift stretchers attaching a rope to both of them so they'll be able to pull them. Bell then went over to check on Welf while Genya fixed Rengoku's arm after he bandage the other two's heads.
"How ya holding up" Bell asked as he looked over Wlefs injury.
"Eh I'll live how are the others" Welf asked immediately wincing when he tried to move his foot.
"Rengoku's fine just a dislocated arm others not so much we're gonna have to drag them to floor 18" Bell replied.
"Good we're on the same wavelength then" Rengoku said walking up holding his arm.
"You gonna be able to use your sword" Bell asked.
"No but I'll help young Welf walk since I'm pretty much outta the fight" Rengoku said.
"Got it Welfs ankle is sprained so he'll need your help what about me and Genya" Bell asked.
"You take the lead I've already told Genya to drag Inosuke and Genya since he's the physically stronger one out of the two of you" Rengoku answered.
"Well anyone know how far we fell then" Genya asked already pulling his two injured friends.
"Fell about three floors so since we were on the 13 we're currently on floor 16" Rengoku replied helping Welf stand the latter of which groaned.
"Great that means we gotta trudge through two floors of shit" Genya said.
"Well there is a faster way though I think you won't like it" Bell said.
"And that is" Rengoku asked his eyebrow raised.
"Well we could just break the floor and fall again" Bell suggested.
The three immediately disagreed with Bells statement and decided to trudge though hell to get to safety.
"You guys are no fun" Bell grumbled taking the lead.
"Bell another fall would probably kill them and we'd land in the juggernauts room" Rengoku chided.
Bell relented and focused of leading his party out of danger. The journey was long and hard taking hours just to reach floor 17. Welf had already passed out due to mind down after using his magic to reflect the hellhounds attack. Rengoku was closing to passing out as well due to his injuries and exhaustion. Finally as if by a stroke of luck the made it to the boss room.
"Well this is it final stretch" Bell said.
The other two had a look of joy on their face and were getting ready to walk in we'll Bell stopped them.
"Now there's a chance the Goliath might spawn so once we step foot in there run like hell ok" Bell said.
The other two agreed and the party walked in. When the didn't see the Goliath spawning they felt relief and started to run. But when the got halfway the wall started to shatter and the saw a shadow behind the wall.
"Run I'll hold it off until you make it to the entrance" Bell said as he turned towards the wall his blades at the ready.
The other two didn't say anything but listened now wasn't the time to argue. Bell ran towards the Goliath and threw his blades at it legs hoping to server them before they became too strong. He succeed in taking off one leg while the one just had the blade bounce right off it. Bell seeing this retracted the blades and threw them in the shoulders and pulled himself towards it. The Goliath feeling it's leg missing and blades in its shoulder roared in pain and swung at Bell. Bell retracted his blades and flipped over the arm. He then threw his blades into the Goliaths eyes blinding it. He then looked towards the entrance and saw that his party cleared the floor. He retracted his blades a final time and ran for the exit. However the Goliath wasn't done as it threw rocks towards his direction. The rocks hit the stone above the entrance and Bell slid under them to avoid being trapped. However he wasn't quick enough and one of the stones ended up hitting him in the head.
Bell slid down the rock slide and landed face first on the ground on the 18th floor. When he lifted his face he saw Rengoku had passed out but covering Welfs body in a protective manner. Both Zenitsu and Inosuke were still on the makeshift stretchers and Genya was laying against a tree trying to catch his breath.Bell stood up to walk towards him but felt dizzy and collapsed but not before he saw someone with golden hair in front of him.
"Help then please" he begged before passing out.
Look at that two chapters within a day just felt like writing today anyway hope everyone enjoyed see ya.
