Spoilers for GOW Ragnarok

Daphne POV

"Yo, you hungry" the boy said holding up two bowls of soup.

I looked at him my guard was up. I knew who this boy was. The very one we were fighting for Apollo to have. Which made me feel a little bad for the kid but I can't refuse my god even if I don't like him.

"Alright, so redheads not talkative what about you blue girl," he asked.

Cassandra flinched when he spoke to her but also didn't speak. The boy said nothing but sat down across from us the bowls in front of him.

"You keep this standoffish behavior soups gonna get cold," he said. For some reason, I could not get a read on this boy. He acts nice and his posture is that of someone who means no harm. But he's the enemy and we're his prisoners he has to be planning something right.

"Um, I'll have some please" I heard Cassandra nearly whimper.

"There's no need to be scared I'm not gonna hurt you" he reassured.

"You already did hurt us" I retorted.

He said nothing but gave me a deadpan look.

"Well it was either that or you hurt me. Besides you're prisoners now there's no reason to hurt you" he responded.

He then picked up a bowl and moved closer to Cassandra. "Hmm well I can't untie you to eat so either I can feed you or I can get someone else to," he told Cassandra.

"I would like someone else please" she whispered but Bell heard it. "Alright I'll be right back" he paused and turned towards me. "You want someone else to feed you to," he asked. "No you'll do just fine" I growled.

He then left the tent leaving the bowls of soup with us. "Were you able to get a read on him," Cassandra asked?

"No his movements contradict his actions. Sure he's acting all nice but he's prepared to use violence if needed" I responded.

"Sucks he couldn't untie us though," she said.

"We're prisoners he'd be stupid to do that" I responded. After a minute of silence, Bell came back in with a girl that had a bow strapped to her back.

"Well this here's Nezuko be nice to her or I won't be nice to you," he said before grabbing my bowl and sitting in front of me.

"Now you gonna make this easy or do I have to force this thing down your throat," he said before the girl named Nezuko said his name. He cleared his throat before he spoke. "I apologize I worded that wrong but you got the message" he apologized.

I didn't say anything and just opened my mouth to be fed. Our captain in all his infinite wisdom didn't let us eat until all the supplies we accounted for. Because of his foolishness, his decision came back to bite him in the ass.

Bell POV

"So what's our plan now," I asked Rengoku who was standing on a cliff overlooking the castle.

"I was thinking we attack all sides of the castle at once but have some people back here for reserves," he said.

"So who gets the fun job of attacking"

"Well, what I have so far is Welf causing some trouble by the front gate. I want Mikoto on the western wall to just kick some ass. I want Zenitsu to come from the back wall and just blitz everyone there and I want you and Inosuke on the eastern wall where you'll make your way to their captain" he said explaining his plan.

"And what about you and Genya," I asked.

"Genya will use his skill to provide covering fire where needed while Nezuko and Lili will wait in reserves. My job will be to watch the battlefield and the prisoners" he replied.

"So you get the easy part then" I joked.

"You can't grow if I hold your hand all the time" he responded a smile on his face.

We stood there in silence for a few moments just enjoying the scenery before he spoke.

"This is a nice piece of country," he said.

"Heh, maybe when everything's over we could start up a farm" I joked.

"You'll have to teach me then farmboy," he said ruffling my hair.

"Be prepared because I'll have you boys whipped up into the best damn farmers this country's ever seen" I said puffing out my chest.

Rengoku and I then busted out laughing at how silly that sounded before he called everyone to us. It took only a moment but soon enough everyone was gathered around.

"Alright everyone listen up" Rengoku began getting everyone's attention. He then explained the plan to everyone and answered whatever questions they had. After his explanation was over he said to get some rest as we'll be attacking in a few hours. Before we all went out separate ways we heard a voice that none of us heard before. Or so I thought.

"Alright yeah that's a good fucking plan and all but you're gonna need some better equipment," a blue dwarf said.

We all turned to see him and a paler dwarf next to what I assumed to be their smithy near the woods.

"It's you," Genya said recognizing the two.

"Uh, Genya who are they," I asked.

"The blue ones Brok and the paler one is Sindri master blacksmiths who made the axe" he explained pointing at my axe.

"Yeah like muscle brain here said me and my brother made the axe now hand er over she needs some maintenance," Brok said.

I took the axe off my back and tossed it to him. He caught it and then he and his brother went to their smithy Sindri scolding his brother on his behavior.

"So these were the guys you met in Melen," I asked pointing at the two.

"Yup they were pretty cool and Brok said I had a talent for gunsmithing if I wanted to pursue it" he answered.

"Master blacksmith's huh" Welf questioned.

"Something the matter Welf," I asked.

"You aren't gonna replace me are you," he asked.

"What no why would we do that? You're our friend that would dick move" I answered.

Welf said nothing but nodded his head and then walked over to the dwarfs. I didn't hear what they were talking about but Welf had a smile on his face and shook Sindri's hand and walked away. I then saw Sindri bring out hand sanitizer from nowhere and clean his hands. I was about to ask Genya why. But Genya already knew what I was gonna ask and said he was a germaphobe.

Welf POV

After I got done asking the brother to train me as a blacksmith I walked over to Rengoku as there was something I wanted to ask him. He was still at the cliff overlooking the castle. No doubt seeing if any changes will happen to cause him to change the plan. He somehow knew it was me approaching him as he turned around and greeted me.

"Ah, young Welf what can I help you with," he asked in his normal jovial mood. He felt like an older brother of sorts. Always giving you shit but was ready to throw hands for you if needed. I could feel my nervousness but pushed past it to ask my question.

"I was wondering if you would Um teach me flame breathing," I asked nervously somehow finding the back of my neck itchy. Rengoku looked at me with a wide smile on his face.

"Of course, I'll teach you but I'll warn you the training will be hard," he said.

"I'm ready to tackle it. If it'll help me become better at fighting I'll be able to help my friends more" I said steeling my resolve.

"A perfect goal to have I'll just have to get the book out of my desk to teach you the forms and the way to use it first," he said putting a hand on my shoulder.

I couldn't help but smile nervously but I was glad he agreed to teach me. I then thanked Rengoku and began walking back to camp to get my magic swords ready. I opened the flap to my tent and saw them on my cot covered up so no one would know what they were yet.

"You sure you want to use them" I heard Bell's voice ask behind me. I turned around to face him before o spoke.

"Yeah, I've spent most of my life running from who I am. If I have the means to produce the tools to keep everyone safe I will the consequences be damned" I said to him my voice full of conviction. He smiled at me before telling me he was with me til the end of the line. He then left my tent to leave me to my thoughts before the big reveal.

Loki POV

I stared at my divine mirror in shock at who had just appeared. I didn't believe it to be true when I sent the letter to Sindri. But there he was alive and in the flesh was Brok acting the same as he did all those years ago. Hell, when I sent the letter to Sindri I wasn't even expecting a response back considering we didn't leave off on good terms. But I guessed he changed again with his brother back.

"Loki are you alright," Finn asked looking over his seat at me.

"Yeah, I'm fine Finn nothing to worry about," I told him. I could see he didn't believe me but he said nothing more and turned back around.

Freya POV

I can't believe he's alive. It was like nothing changed at all. Brok didn't die and Sindri didn't become consumed with hate. It was like looking into the past. It was a good sight to see. Add on the fact they were helping Bell and his friends made me all the happier.

"If only you could see this Kratos," I thought. Hmm maybe I should give Mimir a call to let him know Brok's Alive

"Allen dear" I called

"Yes, my lady," he said taking a bow.

"Get me a messenger pigeon. I would like to send a letter" I told him.

"As you wish my lady" he replied before leaving my room.

Bell POV

After a few hours of maintenance and mingling, it was now time for the assault. Inosuke and I were already at the eastern wall waiting for Genya to signal us when it was our turn. For now, Inosuke and I hid in a bush.

"Hestia's gonna be pissed you don't have your armor on" I whispered.

"I forgot to pack it" he whispered back as I lightly chuckled.

Boom

We then hear a firework go off in the sky which was our signal to attack. Inosuke and I charged out of the bush and began our ascent of the wall. I grabbed Inosuke and jumped up on top of the wall with him before letting him go.

"That felt gay" he joked before charging into the fray.

I said nothing as I had to dodge a spear that was thrusted at my chin. I maneuvered behind the woman and karate-chopped her on the neck knocking her out. I then brought out one of my blades of chaos and began to spin it. After charging it I threw it in between a column of enemies causing a concussive blast of heat to ring out. I then flicked my arm causing the trajectory of the blade to zigzag hitting each and everyone one of them in the back of the head with the handle. I turned around and saw that Inosuke had finished his side as well.

"Well that was easy come on let's get their captain," he said before we ran off.

Mikoto POV

I was along the western waiting and pressing my body against the wall itself. There was nowhere else I could hide so if even one person looked down I would be spotted. I sat there and waited for the signal. My role was only a distraction so Bell and Inosuke can start the main show.

Boom

The firework went off signaling the beginning of the attack. I quickly scaled the wall while chanting getting my gravity magic ready. When I appeared I startled everyone on this wall as they were distracted by the firework. I was able to quickly dispatch two of the guards with my sword before finishing my chant and jumping off the wall. As I was falling I focused my magic on the wall and a huge gravitational pull brought the wall tumbling down. I then heard shouts behind me as reinforcements from the center came charging forward. I could sense that they were all level ones so this would be easy.

I grabbed two kunai from my ankle holster and threw them taking down two members. With a burst of speed, I was able to take down three more and then tossed another two kunai bringing their number down to five. They surrounded me thinking they would have a chance charging all at once. Like a samurai of old, I cut each of them down with precision. Five slashes was all it took before I completed my part of the job. It was then I heard more screams. I turned around and saw the boy they called Zenitsu had arrived in the center and caught his breath.

Zenitsu POV

"I finished up on my end. Inosuke and Bell are heading to their captain now" I told Mikoto as we stood near the middle of the castle. I looked behind her and saw the entire western wall destroyed.

"Uh, little overkill don't you think," I said pointing toward the destroyed wall.

She blushed in embarrassment and fidgeted. We then heard more screaming as more Apollo familia charged at us from both sides. Most of them were from the wall Mikoto dropped on them so they were a little pissed.

"Back to back," she said facing one direction while I faced the other pressing our backs together.

Welf POV

"Alright here goes nothing," I said to myself as I charged at the main gate. When I reached there I unsheathed my magic swords and with a heavy swing sent the elements of fire and air at the gate. The wooden gate shattered like a piece of glass and multiple shards stabbed those who were close to it. I didn't charge in my job was to cause a distraction not go for the glory. So I stayed and I waited. A few minutes later I could see all the elves come charging out no doubt angry that I'm a Crozo. Honestly, I felt bad for them but they were in the way of my familia having a somewhat normal life. So with another swing, I sent a wave of fire at them. Some dodged others didn't and with that one swing, I was able to get rid of half of them. However, that swing was the last the fire sword could handle and it shattered in my hands.

"Of course, that brat has a fucking Crozo as his friend," one of the elves said.

I said nothing knowing he was trying to bait me into anger by talking bad about Bell.

"But hey lucky me I get to kill a Crozo. You know my forest was heavily affected by your family's magic swords and I intended to get revenge" he spat acting like I cared about his past.

"Look what my family did was wrong. But I am not my family. These weapons are made to protect me and my friends and if the elves want to come after us then they will burn" I told him. I wasn't lying if anyone wanted to try and hurt the friends I found who accepted me so willingly then I would fall to the sins of my forefathers to keep them safe.

"So you're willing to burn down the elves' forest. You're willing to follow in your forefathers' footsteps all for those pathetic rejects you call friends" he spat back

"Why don't you come and find out," I said pointing my last magic sword at him.

Genya POV

"Since when did Welf become a badass," I asked Rengoku as we both heard Welf.

"Who knows but keep your eyes on the castle and try and find Zenitsu and Mikoto" he responded.

I looked through the scope on my rifle looking all across the courtyard until I finally found them and they had just finished taking out the garbage.

"They're fine what about Welf," I asked.

"He just destroyed half of a wall," Rengoku said.

"We're not gonna get sued for this are we," I asked a little nervous about property damage.

"If we are we're not paying it" he responded.

"So we're basically committing tax evasion"

Rengoku didn't say anything and told me to find Bell and Inosuke since everyone else completed their objectives.

Bell POV

"Well this is the tower," Inosuke said.

"Yup" I agreed.

"Well, this is where we part ways I'll watch the entrance and make sure no one tries to escape this way," Inosuke said standing next to the entrance.

"Alright I'll see you when this is all over," I said. I then took my first step inside.

Welf's a badass now hope you enjoyed the chapter.
