Ganesha POV

"You have your mission Ganesha. Rescue Bell Cranel. He is the key to usher in a new era" Ouranos ordered.

"Yes sir. If I may ask why do you think he will usher in a new era" I asked.

"Because an old friend believed he would" he replied.

"You don't mean" I started before I was cut off.

"Yes, it was him. Now you head off, stop this threat and save Bell Cranel. Right now you are his only hope to save everyone" Ouranos said.

With that our conversation ended and I headed out to the lobby where everyone gathered.

"Took you long enough. Come on we're ready to go" my captain Shakti said.

"Yes let's. That boy needs our help. I replied.

Bell POV

"This ain't looking good," I thought as I now saw 30,000 monsters heading this way. Must be more in the dust cloud. This also means other monsters I haven't seen could be in there. Thanks to my god's eye and Kratos's knowledge he gave me a quick rundown of what to look out for. He said the thing I should look out for most were travelers.

"Oh my, it seems this will be challenging" I heard Mikoto say next to me.

"Yeah, right now might be our only moments of rest," I said.

We sat in silence for a moment before she spoke again.

"Bell what if we lose," she asked and I could hear the fear in her voice. I myself felt the same. I'm not afraid to admit when I'm scared but we'll only have to hold the line for a day. Still what Kratos said earlier about something powerful hiding in the army. Uh, I don't know how to feel right now so I guess it's one foot in front of the other.

"We won't all we have to do is hold the line for a day. And by the way, they're marching they won't be here til nightfall so we'll only have to fight for half a day. So nothing to be worried about we got this" I said lying right to her face to calm her down.

"I guess you're right. We are in a castle after all" she said sounding a lot less nervous than before.

"Exactly we have stone walls between us and them and by the looks of it, they don't have ladders to reach the walls" I joked knowing the trolls could just make a hole.

"Well, I need to clear my mind so I'm off to meditate. Thanks for the pep talk Bell" she said before walking away.

A pep talk full of lies. Huh looks like Loki rubbed off on me. Oh, would you look at that another 10,000 appeared.

Loki POV

This is looking bad. Thanks to my divine mirror I was able to see the full scale of the army. There were exactly 200,000 monsters heading their way. Hopefully, the rescue team will be able to get there in time, or else they'll be overrun god weapons or not.

"Oh my, that is quite a lot of them" I heard Aina say worriedly. Since her husband was a level four he volunteered to go. I don't know why considering he hates the kid but he probably doesn't want to see him die. God knows he has seen enough people die already.

Lefyia POV

"Why. Why do I have to be so weak? That human has caught up to me and in three months no less. Yet here I am on the cusp of level four and I can't help him. After he saved me from the Goliath and saved one of my best friends I can't pay him back. All because I'm so goddamn weak. I had a chance to go and save him but since I'm not a level four I can't.

"Lefyia" I heard my goddess call my name. "I know what you're thinking and it isn't your fault. How about after this you and Ais head down to the 17th floor and fight the Goliath? That should be enough for a level up" she said comforting me. Hearing her words brightened my mood a little so I turned back to the divine mirror.

Bell POV

It had been a few hours and I still hadn't moved from my spot on the wall. An hour earlier Zenitsu came and told me that they finished repairing the wall and asked for an update on their numbers. I told him I now counted 50,000 but that number had increased once again. The sun was now setting and it would be dark in another two hours. That's when the fighting would begin. Even though Rengoku and I came up with a plan I didn't have much hope we would last that long. There were only 50 of us still standing the rest too injured to help. The plan was a simple one using all the castle's advantages to our favor. We have our ranges units in the tower. Thanks to me blowing up the top part of it they now had a 360 view of the castle. Welf had spent hours making magic swords but Rengoku forced him to take a break so he didn't keel over from exhaustion before the fight began. Thanks to his hard work we had about 15 magic swords to use. He said they were only good for one to two swings and that would just have to do.

Daphne and Cassandra were with Lily and the healers taking care of the wounded. Brok and Sindri had made good on their promise and gave us a sturdy gate within 30 minutes. They said that those monsters wouldn't breach it and since they've faced them before I took their word for it. Also thanks to them everyone knew what to expect from that army as well. After they had finished the gate I asked them to do something else and they told me it'd take a while. So all there's left to do is wait for the approaching army.

"Boy, you know there is a chance they might not be finished in time" I heard Kratos tell me.

"Well, it's not like we have another choice. We can't move with the wounded cause they'll catch up sooner or later. But maybe this will get everyone out safely. We just need to buy them time" I responded.

He didn't respond on grunted before going silent once more.

"I assume all of going well on your side" I heard Rengoku say behind me.

"Yup my preparations are all but done" I replied.

"What about this thing Brok and Sindri are making," he asked.

"Last I checked buy them as much time as we can" I replied.

"So thread the needle got it" he joked.

"Not the first time we've done. Who says this time will be different? I joked back.

Rengoku laughed and told me to get some rest before the army showed up. I did what he said and leaned my back against the wall and shut my eyes. It was maybe an hour or two later but I was kicked awake by someone. When I opened my eyes I saw Ottar standing right above me. When I stood up and looked around I noticed it was just us two.

"Where's everyone else," I asked.

"Rengoku wants us to hold this wall by ourselves since we're the strongest. Since the rest of them are level ones and twos he said we'll be fine on our own as a three and seven" he replied.

"We'll guess that means we can let lose then. What's their number now" I asked.

"70,000 and they surrounded the castle" he replied. I looked outside the castle walls and noticed that we were surrounded.

"Well then looks like we have our work cut out for us then" I joked nervously.

"Are you afraid Bell" I heard Ottars gruff voice say.

"A little not every day you fight ancient monsters and at least 70,000 of them at that" I replied. "But don't worry I won't freeze up out there" I added.

"Good a warrior needs to keep a level head during combat," he said before drawing one of his massive swords.

I did the same drawing out my spear. My thought process was since these things can explode maybe I'll be able to take down quite a few. This spear is also the weapon with the longest reach so that's an added bonus. I then took a deep breath and waited.

Finn POV

We were rushing as fast as we can. When the horses could no longer move we ran. Shakti picked up Ganesha and he was still with us. But gone was Ganesha's joking personality right now he was as serious as I've ever seen him.

"Ganesha update? I asked.

"Right now they're currently surrounded and the assault's about to begin. We're running out of time" he replied.

I nodded at him showing my thanks before thinking. My thumb was hurting like hell telling me something was bound to go wrong for them. Sure they have a great defensive position. But something tells me it won't matter. I then looked back at everyone and judging our current speed we would reach the castle in a few hours.

"Just hold on everyone. We're coming" I thought.

Bell POV

Ottar and I looked out into the sea of enemies in front of us. Judging by their density and being able to see some parts of the castle I was able to tell that our side had the most enemies. Which means more fun for us.

"Wanna see who can kill more," I asked trying to break the tension.

"Hmm sure why not" I heard his gruff reply.

I didn't get a chance to reply as we heard a horn blow and the draugers started charging. The siege had begun.
