Brok POV

Shit, the kids lost it we won't be able to get close to him to get him here. Fuck that stupid fucking kid just has to go and pull the sacrifice play.

I was brought out of my thoughts when the door opened and Lili was dragging two bodies in. Wait when did she leave? Never mind it doesn't matter now. Was what I thought but when I saw that one of the was Rengokus corpse I felt sad. Sure I didn't know him long but he seemed like a good guy.

"Master Bell is still out there he told me to run and take these two with me. I feel like I failed him" Lili said as she dropped the bodies off by the gate.

"It's alright kid it was best that you weren't near him I've seen someone like that before and he had control over it. It was better you got away before he truly lost control" I told her to calm her down.

We then loaded Welf and Rengoku's bodies on stretchers we made and pushed them through the gate.

Zenitsu POV

"How's it coming over there guys," I asked as Inosuke and I guarded the door Nezuko having her bow aimed at it.

"Almost done pipsqueak just need a few more minutes," Brok said back.

"Zenitsu what about Bell" Inosuke asked.

"He's in his rage right now. No doubt his skill activated after seeing Rengoku" I said feeling a deep sadness within me but now was not the time.

"Should we go after him?" Nezuko asked.

I stood there thinking for a moment before I answered.

"No because we can't get close to Bell if he's like that but also because he would want us to leave so we don't die as well. I mean if he saw one of us die who knows what would happen" I answered.

"But he's our friend," Inosuke said.

"I know I don't want to leave him but there's a chance he might kill us if we get too close do you want him to live with that" I responded

"No I don't but fuck I hate it when you're right," Inosuke said feeling angry and useless.

"Look I don't like it either but Bell will be fine he has a god of war on his side," I said also feeling useless since I wasn't able to help my friend.

"Alright we're finished go on through the gate Sindri and I will make sure you're not followed," Brok said.

"But what about you," I asked heading towards the gate.

"Don't worry about us we'll meet you on the other side we just need to destroy this first" Brok said getting his hammer ready.

Seeing as there was no room for arguing we went through the gate. What we saw on the other side wasn't what we expected. We were back in Orario and there was medical staff treating the wounded adventurers from the wargame as well as those from the siege. Adventures were running back and forth bringing supplies such as food and healing potions to those who needed them. The doctors were working nonstop it seemed as if every healer seemed to be here.

I took a better look around and realized we were in the town square. I look to my left and see Ottar being treated for his injuries while Freya was practically all over him her tears were full of joy that he was alright.

I look to my right and see a sheet being pulled over Rengoku's corpse to cover him up as well as a few other corpses.

"Come on let's see if we can't find the others," Inosuke said seriously his cheery voice was gone replaced with one that knew how serious this situation was.

"Yeah le-" I didn't finish my sentence as I suddenly felt light-headed and collapsed to the ground.

"Zenitsu" I heard Nezuko yell.

Why is she yelling I just feel a little dizzy? Ow, my side really hurts why is that? I then put my hand to my side and it feels wet. I then bring my hand up to my face and saw blood. Is that my blood? Also, why do I feel cold?

My eyesight became blurry and it was getting harder and harder to hear. Nezuko can you stop shouting or are you shouting? Man, I'm tired I'm just gonna rest my eyes for a bit. I then let darkness overtake me and went to sleep.

Bell POV

Kratos has been fighting for I don't know how long. But it seemed like he was holding back probably because my body would break if he went all out. I wonder if my plan worked if everyone was able to escape. Wait no people died so not everyone escaped. Oh yeah, Rengoku was one of them. Wait this bastard took control of my body. He's trying to take away my revenge. Like hell he is. Give me my body back it's mine, not yours.

"Bell stop fighting"

"No, it's my body my revenge not give it back"

"I'm keeping you alive now stop"

"No, you're robbing me of my revenge"

I continued to fight for control of my body to no avail.

"I'll give you control back when you calm down boy now knock it off," he said leaving no room for argument.

So I waited and waited and waited some more. Wait didn't she say the rescue team was spotted at the back lines how did they get here so quickly? Oh yeah, they're all higher-level adventures than we are I never thought about that. But they still took too long Rengoku is dead. The man who saved my life as a boy and raised me as his own was gone. All thanks to the bastard UPM3 who seemed to enjoy it.

What's the point anymore why do I still fight? I thought I was getting stronger I thought maybe just maybe I would finally be able to win again one of the moons but no. No, I'm still too weak. All those people on the mountain my friends that I had to kill were all for nothing. Then we came to Orario and things started to change I got stronger faster and I thought maybe just maybe I could at least put up a fight. But no now Kratos is putting in all the work while I'm sat here on the sideline.

I'm useless. I can't protect my friends. I let Rengoku die. What good am I as a person if I can't do anything right?

"Stop that train of thought Bell"

"What"

"In case you forgot you saved 60 people with that gate in the keep. They're alive because of you and you alone so don't downplay your efforts just because you couldn't save Rengoku. You can't save everyone Bell but be glad you were able to save some" he said.

He's right I did save people but I wasn't able to save the man who saved me.

Gonna leave this here as I don't know where else to go with this chapter but there's about one or two more chapters before this arc ends I hoped you liked it and Bell has gone through a lot of hell this arc hasn't he(wink wink nudge nudge)
