The wind whipped the dust from the ground and sprayed it around the decaying buildings. Due to the damage caused by the war, there was dirt and debris everywhere which made it hard to see when the wind was blowing like this.
On the ground, Yuzu opened her left eye. The rest of her face was on the ground after their failed teleport, a teleport jump which sent them to Xyz instead of Standard.
"Wha…?"
Yuzu stood up and saw beside her was Yuya who was also in the same position.
"Yuya!" Yuzu rolled Yuya over and saw him slowly awaken.
"What is it… Yuzu?" he said as he woke up. "Are we home?"
"Get up and take a look yourself." Yuzu helped Yuya get up from the ground and two looked around.
"Is this Ritual?" Yuya questioned.
"I don't think so…. it looks nothing like the place. That tower over there wasn't there before." Yuzu pointed as they saw spiralling tower with golden beams going around it. On the top was a love heart.
"A heart…. Heartland?"
"So the Xyz Dimension... but how?" Yuzu replied.
"And where are Shun, Ruri, Ray and Sora?!"
"Great… we're alone." Yuzu said as she looked at the lack of bracelet on her hand.
"Hey, we will get her back." Yuya replied as he placed his hand onto hers.
"Yes we will."
Yuzu saw Warrior appear along with Mozarta.
"Warrior? Mozarta?"
"We're still here… you can't get rid of me that easily." Warrior said with a wink. "And we will get her back."
"We owe it to her." Behind Yuya appeared Stargazer followed by his brother, Timegazer.
"This world looks like home…" Warrior said as she looked around.
"It could be worse… at least people have a chance of living in this war… whereas most died in ours." Star added. "Thankfully those people who got turned into cards can still come back."
Warrior and Mozarta both shrugged at the comment regarding it were similar to their war.
"And so can our people." Warrior said. "The angels saved all those who didn't die before the final battle and stored us into cards…. those who perished before however…. it doesn't matter… we're just spirits wandering in a dead world."
"Warrior?" Yuzu looked to her. "We will get Ciel back."
"Do you really believe that, Yuzu?" Stargazer said.
"Yes I do! You actually think we can't?!"
"I never said that." Star said. "I'm merely saying things have only gotten harder."
"We're going to fight all the way." Time added.
"All the bracelets have now been lost…. the angels taken…. trying to control Odd-Eyes is now even harder." Star replied.
"Then we will work even harder!"Yuya replied.
"We will support you, Yuya." Star replied. "You and the girls will have to make the hardest choices yourselves however …. this is your world, you have to make your own path."
"Yes but you're all still with us…" Warrior and Mozarta placed their hands onto Yuzu's shoulder; her loyal monsters would follow her anywhere.
In the far distance, they heard the sound of an explosion and another building falling; they all jumped and looked that way.
"What now?!" Yuzu shouted.
"Let's take a look!"
A Little Later
The group ran through an alleyway and looked around the corner. On the ground were bricks from the roof which had fallen off. Scorch marks were show across the buildings.
"No one's here ..." Yuzu confirmed.
"They're fast." Yuya said as they walked towards the middle.
"Someone dropped their deck ..." Yuzu said as she saw Duel Monster cards facedown.
As she lifted them up her face changed from curiosity to horror.
"Yuzu?"
The Pendulum duelist put her hand over her mouth, petrified just by looking at the large number of card that there was. Not only people of the Resistance, there were also Fusion soldiers
"Yuzu?" Her childhood friend touched her on the shoulder but Yuzu reacted by covering her eyes, not wanting her to see any of this
"Please no!"
Yuya pulled her away, even with the strength that was left in his arms. Yuya had to endure the tears in her eyes which made everything more difficult.
Rooftop
Two figures in black cloaks watched the group with binoculars from a further distance. One was a tall female while the other a young boy.
"More of them? And they're not wearing their uniform?" said the female.
"Must be some undercover trick…. they really think we would fall for that?" replied the boy.
"Do you want this one?"
"Yeah, I do."
The boy pulled out a radio from under his cloak.
"Rio, we're going to take on two more Academia soldiers."
"Haruto, Anna, be careful. We lost a few in that last fight… I can't lose you two…"
"Don't you worry." Haruto replied. "I have to do this…."
Yuzu
"Let's move on." Yuzu said. "Ray and the others should be here somewhere." Yuzu had dusted herself and down and the tears had stopped.
"STOP, ACADEMIA!"
Yuzu and Yuya heard the voice come from within the shadows. They looked around and failed to see anyone.
"I guess we're not alone…." Yuya said as he and Yuzu kept looking.
"We should run." Yuzu said. "We have no idea who or what could be here!"
Yuzu and Yuya ran forward but before they could take any more steps, green lasers were fired ahead of them to block their path.
"They can shoot?!" Yuzu yelled in distress. They then saw the two in cloaks emerge from the shadows. Anna had large pink cannon in her hands.
"Who are you?!" Yuzu asked.
"Names don't matter! We're taking you out in a duel!" Haruto hit back.
Elsewhere
"Now what happened…?" Shun said. He slowly got up after being thrown from the portal in another part of Heartland.
Shun looked around and slowly worked out that he was home.
"That portal was meant to take us to Standard but now we're here…. something isn't right." Shun said. "... Wait, Ruri?!"
Shun looked over and saw a figure lying in a shadow.
"Ruri!" Shun ran over to the body and as his eyes got closer he saw it wasn't Ruri but in fact Ray. "Hey…. wake up." Shun said as he nudged her.
"Uhhhh…" Ray groaned as she opened her eyes. "Now what happened?"
"We're in the Xyz Dimension." Shun said as he helped Ray up. As Shun let go, Ray's sight got dizzier and she fell back down onto the ground. "Whoa, you okay?"
"Just a bit dizzy…."
"The teleport must've been hard on the body; we should rest here for a while."
Shun sat down opposite Ray. The begun to rest.
"Wait…. my deck?!" Shun panicked. The deck had disappeared from his duel disk and he couldn't find it around the alleyway.
"Oh… I found it." Ray said. She saw it near her and she collected them all up. "They're okay…. except the backs are nearly coming off them."
"It's fine. My cards show how much battling I've done."
"That's not right!" Ray replied. "Your cards are equal to you!"
"I can get other Raidraptor Cards." Shun replied.
"Yes you could but these ones have been with you all the way through! You could get copies but the memories of these exact ones can't be replicated."
"Why do you care so much about cards?"
"Because now we know about the spirits…. each monster is their own…. the same ones who have fought with you! Also I wish to be a card designer and I appreciate the beauty of them all. When I wasn't sorting out Yuzar's schedule… I often sent designs to Kaiba Corp… and had them printed. Even some of Yuzar's cards were made by me. I love the drawing… the creating the effects… it's all amazing to me."
"I guess your friend appreciates that."
"Well he is second best in Ritual ... he wanted to use them as soon as possible to get to the top. I told him learn how to use the cards before he used but Yuzar being Yuzar often just wanted to rush into the duel and use them... I miss those times."
Shun shared the same feelings as Ray. Their worlds were destroyed by Academia.
"This Yuzar was your boyfriend or something like that?"
Ray sighed and calmly spoke as she always did to Shun.
"Not really, we are very good friends. Although II don't see any girl being with that fool at the moment, who knows… maybe when all this is over we may have a date. And what about Ruri? She and that Yuto have something, Yuya mentioned something about them?"
Ray interested in knowing these details with her mischievous look.
Shun crossed his arms as he looked away, "He's just my best friend and she's my sister."
Ray raised an eyebrow and that smirk appeared on hers face.
"Ohhhhh, I understand. It's a forbidden love between the two of them since Ruri's bigger brother denies it." Her mocking tone made Shun annoyed. "I don't know why it bothers you. You know that Ruri won't be with you all the time and denying her a boyfriend is silly of you!"
Ruri
Ruri was in a separate location and looked at carded people on the floor. She picked them up and put her hand on her chest.
"I don't know any of you but… I'm so sorry."
"Ruri… you have company." Uriel said. Uriel was Ruri's spirit.
Ruri looked behind and saw two more cloaked figures.
"Rio?!"
Ruri went to hug her but Rio's face stopped Ruri from doing so. The distrustful look, the fierce face, all appearances Rio never normally had.
"Rio…?"
"Ruri…. you're back?" Rio questioned.
"Yes, I'm home!"
"I don't believe you. You are Ruri but you're being controlled. I won't fall for silly tricks!"
"Controlled?! Rio it's me!"
"As if! You've been away for far too long…. they control my brother… they've done the same to you!"
"Rio! It's me! Come on!"
"Fine… duel me and we shall see! Academia duel in a certain way… let's see if you're telling the truth!"
Yuzu
"You're Resistance!" Yuzu said. "I'm friends with Ruri and Shun! They're here in this dimension with a girl from Ritual. We both come from Standard!"
"Ruri and Shun? You fool no-one! Shun and Ruri are missing! Now we shall duel and we'll turn you into a card!" Haruto said, activating his duel disk, Anna also joined in.
Shun
A figure approached Shun, also in a cloak with pink hair. Shun stood up while Ray could only continue to sit.
"Luna?" Shun said. The female undid her hood and there was the pink-haired female.
"Shun." she replied.
"It's… good to see you."
"Let's get to the point, Shun…. are you being controlled?"
"What?! Of course not!" Shun replied.
"I'll duel you to make sure!" Luna replied.
"Who is she?" Ray said.
"Shark's girlfriend."
"Wait…. that's…. why are you with her?!" Luna yelled.
"Ray?" Shun questioned.
"She's Academia…. Yuto told us about her!"
"No! Yuto would've told you she was controlled! She's normal now! Luna, believe me!" Shun replied.
"….. Fine, I'll take you both in for questioning. Be thankful I found you and not Rio or the others…. Let's go."
Ruri
"Rio… this is wrong!" Ruri replied to Rio.
"Duel me and we will see!"
"Damnit… fine!" Ruri activated her duel disk.

"I playBlizzard Jet!" Rio showed a Spell. "Blizzard Falcon gains 1500 attack until the End Phase!"
Falcon ATK: 3000
"Since Falcon has higher attack then its original amount, it inflicts 1500 points of damage!" Falcon shot down icy shards onto Ruri who blocked the shards with her duel disk.

"Typical Rio…" Ruri said to herself. "Always a quick starter!"
"I set one card and end my turn!"

"My move!" Ruri drew her card. "Since I control no Monsters, Lyrilusc - Turquoise Warbler can appear!" A monster with a human face but a bird body appeared. She had yellow wings with blue tips.

"When Warbler is summoned like this, I can bring out another Lyrilusc from my hand! Appear Lyrilusc - Cobalt Sparrow!" Another female bird came, this time it had blonde like hair and had brown wings. It had yellow claws for feet.

"When she's Special Summoned I can add a level one Winged Beast to my hand from my deck! I add Lyrilusc - Sapphire Swallow."
"And since you control a Winged Beast on the field you can summon it, I know." Rio replied.
"You're correct, Rio! Appear Lyrilusc - Sapphire Swallow!" Another girl appeared but in a blue bird outfit.

"I overlay my three Lyriluscs!" Ruri put her hand into the sky and all three shot into the black whirlpool.
Emerging from the whirlpool was female bird. It had a sort of dress with golden sections which went over her bird like legs. Three overlay units spun around it.

"She gains 200 attack for each overlay unit!"

"And you know she can attack equal to the amount of overlay units she has! Go Assembly!"
Rio braced herself as Ruri's Monster hit her with a strong blast of wind she created from flapping her wings together. With each hit she felt more pain across her body.

"I set two cards and end my turn. Rio, do you believe me now?"
"I want to, Ruri… but I still need to be sure!"

"I draw! If you're controlled or not, I've dueled Assembly enough times to know its effects so I'm countering them! Since I control a Water Winged Beast Monster, I can bring out Gale Eagle from my hand!"
From within a snow drift, a white eagle emerged with water markings going down its back.

"I overlay my two level fours!" Both Monsters flew into the Xyz whirlpool. "Flying deadly ice onto the battle, breath your cold heart onto invaders, appear rank four…. Ice Beast Zerofyne!" A sliver warrior in the shape of a snowflake emerged.

"When I use Gale Eagle to Xyz Summon, I can add a Rank Up-Magic Card to my hand! I add
Resistance-Rank Up-Magic!"
"Resistance-Rank Up-Magic?!" Ruri replied.
"Yes! Our new weapon which has helped take down many Fusion users! But first I use an overlay unit from Zerofyne!"

"I negate your Assembly's effects!" Zerofyne fired a snow breeze at Assembly who froze up.
Assembly ATK: 0
"Now Zerofyne gains 300 attack for each face up card!" Rio replied with a clenched fist.

"The real Ruri could overcome this attack… let's see if you do! Attack, Zerofyne!"
"My Trap will help! Lyrilusc Rescue! I detach a Lyrilusc from my Xyz Monster to make her attack equal to your Monster for this turn and it cannot be destroyed in battle!"

"Not bad but Zerofyne won't fall that easy! I use my Quick-Play Spell Resistance-Rank Up-Magic! This ranks Zerofyne up by one rank and gives the new Monster 800 attack!"
Zerofyne shot back into the whirlpool as a bright golden beam shot down.
"Appear rank five, Ice Spirit – Frost Blade!" A light blue Monster appeared shaped like a spirit. It had a long flowing tail and had sharp icicles attacked to frozen arms.

"So the Spell attaches to your Monster…" Ruri thought to herself.
"Now Frost gains 800 attack thanks to my Rank Up Spell!"

"Now attack!" Rio ordered. Frost Blade charged into Assembly and wiped it out. Ruri felt the instant shock from the hit and fell to the ground.

"I use Frost Blade's effect!"

"Frost lets me reduce her attack by 500 but in exchange I can draw one card. I set one card and end my turn."

"My move!" Ruri drew her card. "You've improved, Rio."
"I had to. Since Shun departed, I've stepped up to be the leader of the Resistance. Academia has slowly reduced their numbers here but they still keep some. It's almost like a game now to wipe us all out."
"I'm sorry we weren't there but we are now. Rio, Shun is missing! We came from the Synchro Dimension and ended up here… we were meant to go to Standard but-"
"You weren't going to come home? You wanted to run rather than fight?"
"No! We were coming here after we went to Standard! Rio, we've made some powerful allies!" Ruri replied.
"They cannot be our allies… no-one can be trusted but ourselves. I don't think you're being controlled but… you've been infected by other people's lies!"
"She's angry like how your brother was."Uriel said who appeared again.
"Yeah… they haven't seen anything but war." Ruri replied back.
"Who are you speaking to?!" Rio yelled back. "A microphone?!"
"No! It's a long story…., Rio please believe me!"
"Just make your move! It's a disgrace you still wear the red of the Resistance!" Rio replied firmly.
"Don't you recall that time we helped your brother buy the co-commitment ring for Luna, Rio? Those were the better times… times I want you to remember!"
Flashback – One Year Ago
Ruri, Rio, Luna and Shark were shopping all in their casual clothes and walking down the Heartland Shopping Mall.
Shark who wore his purple jacket walked alongside his girlfriend, Luna. The pink-haired female who wore a short-sleeved shirt which also acted as a skirt and long stockings followed.
"So why are we here, Ryouga?" Luna asked.
"Because…" Ryouga said with an embarrassed look, his blushing was bright red.
"Because it's your anniversary of dating!" Rio replied who wore a pink and blue dress with a red ribbon.
"Rio!" Ryouga replied, now as red as could be.
"Ryouga…. that's amazing." Luna replied. "Thank you."
"It's…. it's fine…. I don't know why Rio had to drag you and Ruri along…."
"Because you wouldn't do a thing and instead you would spend all that time stuttering with embarrassment!" Rio replied.
"Plus it gives us all time to spend together!" Ruri replied.
"Sounds fun!" Luna replied.
Flashback End
"What all the times we dueled in our different duel schools!" Ruri replied. "Us, Spades vs. your Clover School" Ruri replied.
"Regardless, those times are over… you've had the pleasure of seeing other worlds… it's not the same as those worlds. Ruri, you ran away…. while I've had to stay here, seeing our group one by one loses numbers! Academia just keeps sending more while we lose more!" Rio yelled back. "It can never change!"
"I'm sorry I left, Rio…. but let's continue this duel! I use my Trap, Xyz Reborn! This allows me to return Assembly back to my field and this attaches as an overlay unit!"
Lyrilusc - Assembly Nightingale ATK: 0 DEF: 0 Winged Beast/Wind/XYZ/Rank 1/OU 1
"Rio, I've also become stronger… and I will show you the power that I gained from my new allies! I play Rank Upgrade Force!" Ruri showed the Spell Card.
"Rank Upgrade?! What's that?!"
"I target Nightingale! Now I user her to rebuild the overlay network! Xyz unlock! Appear before me,Uriel Celestial Guardian!" Nightingale shot into the black and yellow whirlpool as a blue beam shot up. Uriel was a half black and white humanoid who had wings on each side. It glowed with a blue aura before landing before Ruri.

"Rank Upgrade attaches to Uriel along with Assembly." Ruri said.
"A rank one… plus?"
"As I said it's a long story, Rio. Uriel fought alongside someone who was similar to me a very long time ago… I carry her will to end the fighting!"
"Will to end the fighting?"
"Uriel halves all Monster attacks on your field!"
Ice ATK: 1450
"Uriel also can't be destroyed in battle and all damage I would take from battles involving her, I gain as lifepoints instead! Now I play the Equip Spell, One Power! My Xyz Monster gains 400 attack X the difference in her rank compared to one Monster's level or rank! Since Uriel is still classed as a rank one and you have a rank five, Uriel gains 1600!"
Uriel ATK: 3100
"Uriel, attack her Frost Blade!"
"Not a chance!" Rio replied. "Go Breeze Power!" Rio played her Trap. "When you attack a Monster I control with a different attack then its original amount, both are banished and we both take damage equal to my Monster!"
"A draw?!"
Ice Spirit and Uriel both exploded and Ruri and Rio were knocked down to the ground.

Yuya/Anna
"We'll duel first!" Anna yelled pointing to Yuya.
"Yuzu…." Yuya wasn't listening to her and instead looking at Yuzu who was looking at the boy. A thud was felt on his head. "What was that?!"
Anna had thrown a rock at his head; Yuya was rubbing it while looking annoyed.
"Yuya? You okay?" Yuzu asked.
"I'm fine, you don't need to worry." Yuya replied as he took the opening five cards from his deck.
Turn 1

"I'll begin!" Yuya looked at his hand and looked concerned, Stargazer appeared before him.
"Something wrong, Yuya?"
"I don't want to act as an invader to her. I don't want her to get mad or feel bad… and also I don't want to insult her."
"Act as your heart says Master Yuya, I'm more than sure that you will know how to face your adversary, maybe even make her a friend." Yuya smiled at his sorcerer and knew what he had to do.
He took two cards from his hand and put them on each end of his duel disk.
"I set scale one Performapal Lebelllman and scale five Performapal Fireflux!"
The pillars of energy were formed on the field of the entertainer; in the left pillar was a composer with a giant bell on his head while wearing an orchestral costume and two stars drawn on his cheeks, under the pillar there was a number 1.
In the right pillar was a cricket with colourful orange jacket and under the pillar was a number 5.
Lebellman 1- 5 Fireflux
"Thanks to this I can Pendulum Summon Monsters who are level four or five! Go!"The portal opened between both pillars of energy while the duelist clasped his hands and stretched them upwards. "I Pendulum Summon!"
"Pendulum Summon?! Anna yelled. "You have them as well?!"
Three beams of energy hit the ground and Yuya introduced her monsters.
"The first one is my Performapal Longphone Bull." A minotaur in a suit and with a telephone on his head was the first to reveal himself

"Next I'm going to presentPerformapal Skeeter Skimmer!"
The second energy beam revealed a mosquito with a small blue jacket. It had six legs with two wings on its back.
"Finally I will reveal to Performapal Trampolynx in defence mode"
The cat with purple colour was the last to reveal itself, as its name said; it had a trampoline on its back.

"With that I present my team!" Yuya said with a smile. Yuzu saw this and smiled, it was good for her to see her best friend smile. Warrior was watching her, crossing her arms and had a grin on her face
"Who wouldn't protect that smile?" Warrior teased.
"Silence." Yuzu thought back.
"I use Longphone's effect! When Special Summoned I add a Performapal to my hand from my deck. I add Secondonkey! And now Trampolynx allows me to return Lebellman back to my hand from my Pendulum Zone!"
"Why return your Monster?!"
"Now I'll summon Performapal Secondonkey from my hand." A donkey-shaped monster appeared on the field, it wore a red bowtie and his blue saddle had a star.

"When summoned I can send a Performapal to my graveyard. I send now I have everything I need! I placePerformapal Monkeyboard in my other scale!"
A new creature appeared in the Pendulum scale where Lebellman had been. Tthis was an ape with an elegant suit that was on a motorcycle.
Monkeyboard 1- 5 Fireflux
"Monkeyboard's effect is activated which allows me to add a level 4 or lower Performapal Monster to my hand." The boy added a card. "I leave two cards and end my turn."
Turn 2
Yuya LP: 4000 Hand: 2
Anna LP: 4000 Hand: 5
"I'll take care of your circus animals, draw!" Anna yelled. "I need to make you all pay!"
"She's energetic." Yuya said, both he and Yuzu were surprised with this.
"I activate the Field Spell Revolving Switchyard!"
Around the field railway tracks emerged. Yuya looked around as more and more were created.
"Then I'll summon Ruffian Railcar!" The Monster was the shape of a red train but had a mouth in the upper carriage.

"And since I summoned Earth-Machine Monster, Heavy Freight Train Derricrane can appear by halving its attack and defence!"
A new train-shaped creature appeared in the field; it was yellow and had other carriages.

"Railcar's effect deals you 500 damage!" The train went straight to Yuya, his monsters dodged but Yuya who tried to run, didn't get the same luck. He was attacked by the creature instantly, his face hitting the floor while his rear was in an improper position.

"Shame on you! You're an Academia solider, how could you be so useless?!" Anna said, mocking him.
"Yuya! Yuzu said, worried about her friend, but luckily he had already got up from the ground but the blow had left him a little stunned. "Are you okay?" Yuya gave his thumbs up back to Yuya.
"Now I activate the effect of my Field Spell which allows me to summon a level four Earth-Machine Monster with an attack of 1800 or more attacks from my deck but it then becomes level ten!"
"Leven ten?!"
"I summon a second Railcar!"

One of these two monsters was a copy of Night Express Knight. It was a knight who was connected to a long white train When he showed up on the field he adjusted his spear towards Yuya who immediately recoiled from the fright It showed his shield with pride as he positioned himself next to the other Monsters.
Trolley Olley was a standard red train

"Incredible that she has five monsters on the field and most of them are level ten." Yuzu said, "And it's obvious to know what she wants to do with them." Yuzu watched Yuya, worried again as she hoped her childhood friend would resolve this situation.
Anna raised her hand into the sky as she prepared for big move.
"Now I will build the overlay network and use my two level ten Monsters! Heavy Freight Train Derricane and Express train!"
Both creatures became energy while the Xyz portal appeared. Anna begun her chant.
"From beyond the railway, I Xyz Summon rank ten Superdreadnought Gun Turret Train - Gustav Max!"
After the explosion faded a new creature in the form of train was revealed on the field. It was different from the others as this had a military design. It had a large gun turret.

"Rank ten?!" Yuya said. "It's huge but thankfully I can't take any damage this turn."
"Not battle… but you can still take effect damage! Don't make judgements as I've not ended my turn! I overlay my other two level fours! Impregnable iron fortress, make the earth tremble violently and charge down the railway crawling with the enemy soldiers! Xyz Summon! Appear, Rank four! Heavy-Armored Train Iron Wolf!"
Another new train appeared on the field. On the front part of the train ithad a wolf design with the yellow jaw while it had a blue flame designs near its wheels.

Anna saw her new Monster and bit her teeth and clenched her fists. Like Haruto, she had lost a relative, her cousin Allenwho sacrificed herself in the battle for Heartland which Kaito himself led.
"I won't let you impostors who pretend to be our friends hurt our allies!" The duelist beat her chest and Haruto watched her sharing the same feeling of loss as she did.
Yuzu could feel the anger of the Xyz girl and looked at Yuya.
"Like we saw with Shun, we need to accept their angry… they've lost everything." Yuzu said.
"I know." Yuya replied. "But our world has also been attacked…. we've both lost parents, Yuzu! We can change them as well!"
"Shun only changed after a long time with us… these guys haven't left this dimension before. It's not going to be easy!"
"Shun? Why do you mention that name?!" Anna said.
"They probably took Shun when he left this world!" Haruto added.
"Agreed! I'll end you!" Anna yelled. "I use Gustav Max's effect!"
Max OU: 2 - 1
"I hit you with 2000 damage!"
"What?!" Max aimed its cannon at Yuya who could do nothing but run as the missile hit the ground.
"Yuya!" Yuzu yelled. The entire earth shook as the dust cleared showing Yuya on the ground.

"End this, Anna!" Haruto yelled.
"I play the Spell! I tribute a Xyz Monster on my field to allow me to activate the effect of another Xyz Monster on my field twice! Be gone Trainwolf! Now I use Gustav Max's effect again!"
Max OU: 1 - 0
Max fired another missile but this time Yuya was ready.
"Now I know what it does I use Performapal Rain Coat!" Yuya responded. "I discard this from my hand to make damage zero!"
A long blue barrier appeared around Yuya, absorbing the damage.
"Finally some fight! I end my turn!"

"I draw! It's the best time to use this… I overlay my two level four Performapals!"
"You use Xyz?!" Anna said as Haruto also was stunned.
"I overlay Skimmer and Secondonkey! I Xyz Summon Performapal Ring Master!" A red-jacketed male appeared with a top hat which covered his eyes. He held a golden ring in his left hand.

"Academia use Xyz?!"
"Or we're not Academia!" Yuya replied. "Ring Master's effect!"

"Ring Master allows me to summon a Performapal, Odd-Eyes or Magician Pendulum Monster from my deck and give it 500 more attack! I summon Performapal Radish Horse!" Ring Master threw his golden ring into the sky and a pink horse galloped through. It had green leafs for ears and a tail.

"You switched them…." Anna said through gritted teeth.
"Now Ring Master, attack!" Ring Master threw the golden ring at Gustav Max like a ninja dart. The ring sped up and sliced the train in halve.

"Damn you…"
"Now Radish attacks!" Yuya yelled. Radish fired its white horn into the sky. The horn fired down like a rocket at Anna's feet and hit her knee, making her drop to the other knee.

"Longphone Bull!" The bull lifted up the phone on its head and the device fired a sound wave which struck Anna.
Anna LP: 2200 - 600
"I set one card and end my turn!" Yuya replied.
"Anna, you okay?" Haruto asked. Anna slowly got back up.
"Yeah… but why would a Fusion user use Xyz?!"
"Because we're not Academia!" Yuzu added.
"Stay out of it!" Anna replied. "Answer me!"
"Because…. we're not Academia…"
"Don't joke with me!"
"Okay… but it's the truth!" Yuya rubbed the back of his head with a grin in an unconformable pose.

"Since I control an Earth-Machine Monster, Super Express Bullet Train can be summoned!" In the far distance a purple and blue train was speeding towards the field. It had jets on both side and had a sharp, pointy front. The train stopped beside Anna.

"Here we go again…" Yuya thought.
"Overlay!" Both Monsters shot into the whirlpool as a second Gustav Max appeared. Once again it aimed its turret towards Yuya.

"Yuya!" Yuzu yelled.
"I'm ready!" Yuya replied. "I use my Quick-Play set Spell, No Performance! This negates Gustav's effect!"
"You think you have all the answers? I'm rebuilding my overlay network!"
"Rebuilding?!" Yuya gasped.
"I can Xyz Summon using Gustav Max! Go!" The train became yellow energy and fired into the Xyz portal. "Appear; rank eleven, Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Juggernaut Liebe!"
"Eleven?!"
On the field appeared a Monster which towered above the crumbled buildings. It was a large green platform with wheels on the bottom. It had small guns around the platform and surpassing all that was a huge cannon positioned in the middle. It had orange markings run down it.

"4000 attack and defence…. and rank eleven…" Yuya stuttered, Yuzu also struggled to say anything.
"I detach an overlay unit to increase its attack by 2000!"
"What?!"

"This is your end."
"Yuya!" Yuzu yelled.
"FIRE!" The canon locked onto Yuya and fired rapid blasts which landed around Yuya's Xyz Monster, the impact created such a force it blasted everyone including Haruto and Anna to the ground, the impact in the sky could be seen for miles.
Yuya LP: 1500 – 0 Anna Wins
As the blast effects ended, Yuzu got up and saw Anna hanging over Yuya with her duel disk out.
"No!" Yuzu tried to get up but couldn't. Haruto was standing and watching, waiting for Anna to take her prey.
"You're Academia, we card you… you know how it works! Don't beg, have honour!" Haruto replied.
"It's not that! It won't work!" Yuzu yelled.
"Let' see!" Anna hit her duel disk and the bright pink light surrounded the field and around Yuya.
"No… stop!" Yuya yelled. "N… YOU'RE FOOLSIH DEVICES CAN'T WORK!"
Yuya's eyes lit up with a bright red glow and his body was surrounded with a dark energy. The energy dispersed the pink light and shot at Anna, sending her rolling across the ground.
"Anna!" Haruto yelled who went to her while Yuya kept breathing in and out at a fast pace before he held his head. His eyes returned to normal.
"Wh..what?" Yuya said.
"Yuya!" Yuzu ran over to him after she had finally been able to get up.
"Odd-Eyes…. I tried my best but he just took over."
"Without Ciel… it must be easier now for him…" Yuzu said, looking at her now empty wrist.
"He could take over whenever he wants…."
"No! You've done well to suppress him until now… that was just a bad moment… he was protecting himself."
"How…. how did you avoid that?!" Anna demanded to know as she walked towards Yuya.
"We're not Academia as I said!" Yuya replied. "I promise."
"You… you somehow stopped being carded?! Some anti-carding device?"
"None of you are listening!" Yuzu begged, she just wanted someone to listen.
"Enough of this! I'll duel you now!" Haruto demanded.
"Fine, let's do this." Yuzu said as she looked across to the young boy.
Heartland Tower
Inside the top of the damaged tower, Ryo stood and looked out the window above the wrecked Heartland.
"What an amazing sight."
"You should spend more time trying to find Dr. Faker, not overlooking a wrecked Heartland."
Behind him was Shark, the boy taken from Xyz and had his memories changed.
"You know that's not my main priority."
"Leo sent us orders to capture him, if he finds you've been slacking-"
"It's not slacking. Me and my troops have destroyed ninety-percent of this world… I'm allowed a little fun." Ryo replied with a big grin.
"And building a fight club with slaves is fun?"
"To me it is!"
Behind the boys a black portal opened up, neither of them had expected it but both kept a calm face on.
Stepping through was Yuzar with the metal collar around his neck, bright blue eyes glowing.
"You're…." Shark stuttered.
"Ancient One Ritual Dragon… you're correct!" he replied with a smirk.
