The Gaang was currently camped out in a forest as they rested up for the journey ahead. Katara was folding some laundry she had gotten done while Aang was laying down on a tree root with Momo on his shoulder and Appa was off to the side eating grubs.

Appa happened to be a 10-ton flying bison, he had white fur, six legs and feet, a large flat tail, and he had two horns with a natural shaped Arrow imprinted on his head.

Suddenly Sokka and Dijin showed up and Aang got excited to see them back as he sat up while saying "Oh good. You guys are back, what's for dinner?"

Dijin just sighed and said "I set up a couple snare's but I couldn't find anything worth eating."

Sokka pulled a sack from his belt and said "We've got a few options. First, I've got some round nuts and some kind of oval shaped nuts, and some rock shaped nuts... but now that I'm looking at them, they may just be rocks." he then threw the rocks away, one hitting Momo who glared at the offending pebble.

Katara looked at the pathetic dinner and asked "Seriously, what else you got?"

Dijin suddenly brightened up saying "Hold on. I just remembered; I think I have something in my bag." Dijin then went over to Appa and dug through his bag and came back with a small wrapped bundle. Dijin sat down the others following suit as he unwrapped the bundle showing some dried meat as he said "Here's some platypus-bear jerky that I got from the palace kitchen in Omashu." Dijin then handed out the jerky to the others with Aang politely declining.

As they munched on the jerky, they suddenly heard a giant boom sound coming from a random direction. Sokka instantly on guard said "What was that?"

suddenly the boom sound happened again making them all stand up as Katara pointed in the direction the sounds were coming from saying "It's coming from over there. Let's go check it out."

Katara, Aang, and Dijin then went to follow the sound as Sokka yelled from behind them "Shouldn't we run away from huge booms, not toward them?" he then groaned in annoyance before chasing after the other three.

After running for a little bit the Gaang found themselves perched behind a fallen tree as they came across the origin of the sounds. Which happened to be a young Earth-bender practicing his bending in front of them.

The young Earth-bender was slamming his foot into ground to make huge boulders before punching them into the walls of his makeshift training ground.

He appeared to be around seventeen, he had long black hair that went down to the middle of his back with a top knot on top of his head, he had a black headband around his forehead, his eyes were brown, he had tanned skin, he was wearing a green shirt with loose long-sleeves, he wore matching green loose-fitting pants, he had a sleeveless tan robe that went down to his thighs and split apart, and on his feet were slipper shoes.

Katara awed at the sight said quietly "An Earth-bender."

Aang naively suggested "Let's go meet him."

Sokka being cautious said "He looks Dangerous, so we better approach carefully."

However, Dijin then tapped Aang and Sokka on the shoulder saying "Uh. Guys? Where did Katara go?"

The trio looked at the spot where Katara once was but quickly turned their attention to in front of them due to hearing her voice from that direction.

Katara shouted at the young Earth-bender saying "Hello there! I'm Katara. What's your name?"

The young man instantly stopped bending and actually looked scared of Katara. He quickly turned around and started running away bending boulders onto the path to prevent anyone from following him.

The others walked to stand next to Katara as Aang shouted "Nice to meet you!"

Katara sad at the turn of events said disappointingly "I just wanted to say hi."

Dijin then spoke up saying "Well, there is some good news to this situation."

Aang curious asked "What news?"

Dijin then explained "If there is young Earth-bender out here practicing, then that must mean there is a village or town nearby."

Katara realizing what Dijin meant brightened up saying "Which means there should be a market. Which means no nuts and jerky for dinner!" She and Aang then took off after the young Earth-bender.

Sokka insulted by the comment yelled indigently "Hey! I worked hard to get those nuts."

Dijin just walked by Sokka saying "Your nuts sucked."

Sokka just sighed and said "Yeah, I hate em too." before he followed after the others.

After the Gaang walked for about 15 minutes they came across a small town with a market. once they were in town everyone decided to do their own thing. Sokka was looking at some knives for sale at a stall, Aang was trying to convince a merchant to trade him a hat for some nuts, Dijin was getting some food already having a bag of groceries around his shoulders, and Katara was just window shopping between the stalls.

As Katara was walking she saw the young Earth-bender from before enter a certain shop. The others began walking up to her as she said "Hey!" Then made her way to follow the young Earth-bender as the others chased after her.

Katara soon walked into the doorway of the shop she saw the young Earth-bender enter. As she stood there she witnessed an older woman berating the young man who was called Haru for being late.

Katara then walked inside saying "Hey! You're that kid. Why did you run away before?"

Haru looked at Katara nervously while saying "Uh... you must have me confused with some other kid."

Aang chose then to walk in wearing a straw hat with Dijin right behind him followed by Sokka.

Once Aang was inside he said "No, she doesn't. We saw you Earth-bending."

Dijin quickly smacked Aang upside the head for that comment.

Aang angry at being hit looked at Dijin and said "What was that for!"

Dijin just angrily replied "What part of 'we are in a time of war' do you not understand? If the Fire Nation was here when you said that, they would have most likely killed him or worse!"

Aang had a look of utter shock before he lowered his head in shame realizing his stupid mistake. Dijin just sighed seeing Aang upset and said "Just think next time before you speak Aang."

While Dijin had been berating Aang the old woman who they assumed was Haru's mother quickly shut the door and windows while talking to her son saying "They saw you doing what?"

Haru still trying to deny that he was Earth-bending said "They're crazy, Mom. I mean look at how they're dressed." he then motioned at them with his hands to emphasize his point.

While the others checked over their clothes Dijin just held his robe saying "Hey, watch it buddy. This was a gift from somebody I greatly respect." Haru held his hands up passively as he said a quick "Sorry."

Haru's mother spoke again saying "You know how dangerous that is. You know what would happen if they caught you Earth-bending."

Suddenly there was a pounding on the door and a rough voice shouted "Open up!"

Sokka cautiously opened the blinds and saw a group of Fire Nation soldiers as he then quietly shouted "Fire Nation! Act Natural."

Once everyone was in a good position Haru's mother went to open the door and once she opened it the Soldiers came rushing in rudely and started to look around.

The soldiers saw the Gaang doing various things in the shop, Aang was leaning on a barrel with an ear-splitting grin, Katara was in the middle of the room, her cheeks puffed out due to her mouth being full of Lichee nuts while holding a bowl of said snack, Haru and Sokka were posed like customers looking at an apple like it was very interesting, And Dijin was just standing in front of a shelf of products browsing his bag of groceries making him look the least suspicious.

Suddenly the lid Aang was leaning on came off making him fall face first into a water barrel as Haru's mother said angrily "What do you want? I already paid you this week."

The Fire Nation soldier who appeared to be the leader smirked evilly before saying "The tax just doubled." The Soldier then started bending a small fireball making it grow and shrink in his hands as he threateningly said "We wouldn't want an accident now, would we? Fire is powerful yet so uncontrollable." he then spread his hands out creating a small ring of fire with everyone in the room feeling the heat.

Haru's mother just looked down dejectedly before slowly trekking towards her stores lock-box. She unlocked it and showed she only had two silver pieces and four copper pieces to her name.

She brought the box to the Soldier who grabbed all the coins before dropping what he didn't want on the floor saying "You can keep the copper ones." He then laughed along with his soldiers as they left the shop.

Sokka clicked his tongue before saying sarcastically "Nice guy." Haru's mother began to pick up the money with Dijin bending down to help her.

As Haru's mother was putting the copper pieces back in the box about a dozen silver pieces suddenly fell into it. Haru's mother looked at the coins in shock before looking at Dijin who had his money pouch out. Haru's mother started to tear up as she said "I can't accept this."

Dijin just calmly said "Yes you can. Money is only an object to me. Take care of your child and yourself this war has caused enough suffering."

Haru's mother just had tears going down her cheeks at Dijin's kindness as she said "Thank you. Now, I can give Haru a proper meal for once."

Sokka seeing the woman's state asked "How long has the Fire Nation been here?"

Haru's mother calmed down and said with slight hate "Five years. Fire Lord Ozai uses our towns coal mines to fuel his war-machines."

Haru spoke up then glaring at the door where the Fire Nation soldiers left and said "They're thugs. They steal from us. And everyone here is too much of a coward to do anything about it."

Haru's mother quickly admonished him saying "Quiet, Haru! Don't talk like that!"

Katara not understanding the problem said "But Haru's an Earth-bender. He can help."

Haru's mother glared at Katara slightly before saying "Earth-bending is forbidden here. It has caused nothing but misery for this village. Haru must never use his abilities."

Katara shocked at her attitude towards bending said "How can you say that? Haru has a gift. Asking him not to Earth-bend is like asking me not to Water-bend. It's a part of who we are."

Haru's mother shook her head saying "You're just a child who doesn't understand."

Katara stubbornly replied "I understand that Haru can help you fight back. What can the Fire Nation do to you that they haven't done already?"

Haru's mother then shouted at her saying "They could take my son away!" She then started crying again as she said in a remorseful tone "Like they took his father." Haru went to comfort his mother as the Gaang looked on in remorse realizing even more than ever that this war must end.

After a brief talk Haru's mother allowed the Gaang to stay the night in their family barn to repay Dijin's kindness for earlier. As the group entered the barn Haru said "My mother said you can sleep here tonight. But I'm afraid your gonna have to leave in the morning."

Aang said "Thanks. I'll make sure Appa doesn't eat all your hay." and as Aang was saying that Appa had a huge mouthful of hay he was trying to swallow.

Katara then spoke up saying "Hey, Haru, can I talk to you for a minute?"

Haru nodded his head saying "Sure, I was about to take a walk anyway." Katara and Haru then left as the others set up their places to rest for the night.

As Dijin was setting up his sleeping bag Aang spoke up saying "Hey, Dijin I was wondering. How did you get the money to help out Haru and his mother?"

Dijin just continued to set up his area as he said "Before I left Omashu I had about a month's worth of military pay saved up, it came down to a total of about 50 silver pieces. So giving away a dozen pieces or a little extra is no problem"

Aang and Sokka's jaws hit the floor mostly because they didn't realize Dijin had that much money on him plus King Bumi only gave them about 10 silver pieces themselves. Sokka just started to grumble about soldiers and unfair pay rates while Aang went over to Appa to set up his area for the night.

Later that night Katara came bursting through the barn doors and immediately started telling the others what happened to her and Haru.

Apparently, one of the mine entrances collapsed and trapped an old man under the rubble. Katara and Haru tried their best to save the man without bending but it was no use. Katara through words of encouragement was able to convince Haru to Earth-bend the rubble away saving the old man in the process.

Once Katara finished her story she said "It was so brave of Haru to use his Earth-bending to save that old man."

Aang who was laying on Appa said "You must have really inspired him."

Katara from her sleeping bag said "I guess so."

Sokka then spoke up saying "Everyone should get some sleep. We're leaving at dawn tomorrow."

Katara shocked said "Dawn? Can't we sleep in for once?"

Dijin then spoke saying "Sokka's right. This town is run by the Fire Nation and if they find out Aang is here than the town, the people, and especially us will all be burned to a crisp."

Sokka nodded his head saying "Exactly, now goodnight everyone."

Sokka then laid-down and was instantly asleep.

Katara just sighed in understanding and said "Goodnight." then blew out the lantern they were using. As everyone fell asleep none were aware of the Battalion of Fire Nation soldiers approaching Haru's home.

The next morning Katara had been bending some water into a jar for everyone to wash-up. When she suddenly looked up and saw Haru's mother standing at the edge of the field staring off at the ocean. Haru's mother turned around and her face was covered in tears. Katara knowing what that meant dropped the jar she was holding shattering it as she ran towards the barn.

Katara burst through the doors screaming at the others "They took him! They took Haru!" she then fell to her knees crying into her hands saying "It's all my fault I pressured him into Earth-bending."

Dijin quickly approached her and grabbed her shoulders saying "Katara calm down. Tell us what happened."

Katara took a deep breath before saying "The Fire Nation. They must have taken Haru while we slept. The old man he saved he must have been the one who turned him in."

Dijin grit his teeth after hearing that before Sokka said "It's too late to track him now, he's long gone."

Katara suddenly stood up and wiped her eyes then went to the door saying "We don't need to track him, because the Fire Nation is gonna take me straight to Haru."

Aang just asked "Why would they do that?"

Katara turned to look at them with a determined smirk as she said "Because the Fire Nation is gonna arrest me for Earth-bending."

Sokka and Aang looked at her in shock while Dijin stepped forward saying "Hang on a minute. Let's not do anything hasty yet."

Katara just glared at Dijin saying "We don't have a minute! Right now Haru is in trouble and it's all my fault!"

Dijin just held his hands up in a calming manner and said "Look, I understand how you feel but it's not your fault." Dijin then had an idea as he said "You said the old man he saved turned him in right?"

Katara nodded her head yes before Dijin spoke again "Can you give me a description? If I can find him, I bet I can find out where they took Haru."

Katara looked to side unsure before Sokka said "That sounds like a good idea to me Katara. We don't really have any other leads."

Katara closed her eyes with a sigh and said "Okay."

Dijin smiled and said "Good. Just give me two hours and you can do whatever you were planning afterwards."

Katara nodded her head again with a determined gaze as she began to describe the old man's appearance.

About an hour later Dijin was standing outside a tavern that one of the towns people pointed him to after he asked around. Dijin pushed the flap aside and went in, as he scanned the room he almost immediately found his target. The old man was sitting at the bar two jugs of rice wine by his side as he worked on a third.

Dijin then approached the bar overhearing a conversation between the old man and the bartender.

The barkeep spoke first saying "Don't you think you've had enough old timer?"

The old man waved him off while talking in a slurred speech saying "Don't worry about it. I'm celebrating, I almost died yesterday and now today I'm a rich man, all just for doing my civic duty." the old man then patted a huge sack of coins at his side.

The barkeep suddenly got nervous because Dijin was now standing directly behind the old man with a look of pure rage.

Dijin pissed at the old man for his attitude and his actions didn't say a word, instead he grabbed the old man's head and slammed it face first into the bar counter breaking his nose instantly.

"Ahhhh." the man yelled in pain as Dijin picked up his head saying "Doing your civic duty? Does that include condemning an innocent boy to a fate worse than death? A boy who saved your life no less!?"

He then slammed the old man's head into the counter again completely shattering his nose and blood going all over the counter.

The old man looked at Dijin pleadingly saying "Please stop! I did what anyone would have done!"

Dijin just growled and just repeatedly slammed the old man's head into the counter a couple more times. He then grabbed the glass the old man had been drinking out of and crushed it inside the old man's hand sending broken glass shards all throughout the man's hand with blood dripping on the counter.

The man screamed in agony at the pain as Dijn shouted "Where did they take him!"

The old man was crying and trying to release his hand but Dijin had a grip of steel. He then cried out through the pain "I don't know! I swear! They just paid me for revealing the Earth-bender!"

Dijin just squeezed the glass harder making the glass go deeper as he growled out "Not good enough! Where did they take him!"

The old man screamed in agony as he cried out "They took him to the docks and then put him on a boat! I swear that's all I know, now please let go!"

Dijin just squeezed extra hard before throwing the old man's arm onto the counter causing him even more pain as he cried out and fell to the floor in a ball his hand now a mangled mess of blood and skin.

Dijin then bent down and grabbed the old man's money bag snapping the cord easily before placing it on the counter in front of the bartender.

Dijin then looked at the barkeep seriously and said "If the Fire Nation asks, I was never here and the old man had a drunken accident. Right?" Dijin then pushed the sack towards the bartender.

The barkeep looked at Dijin then the bag before slowly sliding the bag under the counter saying "I'm sorry sir but I'm afraid this old man has had too much to drink and had an accident would you mind stepping out?"

Dijin just smiled knowing everything was settled before saying "Sure. no problem, have a good day." he then walked out of the bar no one bothering to stop him or talk to him.

The others were inside Haru's home trying to console his mother when Dijin walked through the door and sat down.

Katara wanting to find out what he knew said "Well? what did you find out?"

Dijin then said somewhat dejectedly "All I could find out was that after they grabbed Haru he was taken to the docks and boarded a ship. What the destination was I don't know."

Suddenly Haru's mother started sobbing uncontrollably and Katara was instantly at her side saying "What's wrong?"

She was able to calm down enough to say "They took him to an Earth-bender prison. It's a giant metal Rig in the middle of the ocean. It's where they took Haru's father."

Dijin held a hand to his chin as he said "I see, so they imprison Earth-benders in two of their most known weaknesses"

Aang then said "How are we supposed to find that place if it's in the middle of the ocean?"

Dijin spoke again saying "We can go with Katara's original plan only except I'll be the one getting arrested not her."

Katara had a frown and a glare as she said to him "No way! You're an Earth-bender you'd be useless in that prison while my Water-bending would be perfect for the situation."

Dijin frowned as he said "This is a Fire Nation Prison Katara. Yes, you're a skilled Water-bender but you don't have the combat experience I do."

Katara angrily replied "You're not that much older than me! So don't try and play that card!"

Dijin just angrily said "I may be young but I've fought Fire Nation soldiers on the front lines. That's more than I can say for you."

Aang seeing this was getting them nowhere spoke up "Guys! We shouldn't be arguing like this. Haru needs our help." Aang looked at Dijin and said "Dijin you have to admit what Katara says makes sense. Her Water-bending would be really helpful when it comes down to it."

Dijin just relented with a sigh realizing arguing wasn't going to help as he said "Very well, Katara will get arrested than the three of us will follow her and then get her and Haru out of there." the group nodded their heads in agreement before making preparations for their plan.

xxLine Breakxx

About half an hour later the Gaang could be seen standing by one of the coal mines with a giant boulder by them. Sokka then pointed at a spot a few feet from the mine and said "Ok, Dijin bend that boulder over here."

Dijin then held his hands out in front of himself as he bent the boulder and placed it where Sokka said as Katara spoke saying "I gotta admit bro, out of all your ideas this is a pretty good one."

Sokka just smiled smugly before saying "I try, I try." he then looked at them seriously and said "Okay, so here's the drill, Once the Fire Nation soldiers show up, we put on a little show while Dijin and Aang hide then when he hears the signal, Dijin Earth-bends this boulder into the air and bingo Katara's an Earth-bender."

Dijin looked at the path leading to the mine and saw Fire Nation soldiers approaching before quickly saying "They're coming everybody to their positions."

Once the soldiers were close Sokka and Katara purposely bumped into each other with Sokka using a fake angry voice as he said "Uh! Get out of my way pipsqueak."

Katara then replied in a fake angry voice as well saying "How dare you call me pipsqueak, you giant eared cretin."

The soldiers just raised their eyebrows at the exchange not sure if the fight was genuine or not.

The two Water Tribe members continued "fighting" as Sokka said "What did you call me?" his voice breaking a little due to him being insulted by the comment.

Katara replied with "A giant-eared cretin." She then pointed at his ears saying "Look at those things. Do herds of animals use them for shade?"

Sokka half fake angry and half real angry replied "You better back off!" Sokka then quickly whispered "Seriously, back off. You're being a little hurtful."

Katara ignored him screaming "I will not back off!" She then rose of on the tip of her toes to tower over Sokka who crouched down in shock at his sister's tone.

Katara then screamed at Sokka saying "I bet elephants get together to make fun of how large your ears are. Who do you think you are calling people pipsqueak with ears like those?"

Sokka stood up actually fed up with the act saying "That's it, you're going down."

Katara then said "Oh yeah? I'll show you who's boss, Earth-bending style!" Katara then took a standard Earth-bending stance that Dijin showed her as he Earth-bent the boulder they talked about.

The soldiers were staring in shock at the display with the leader pointing and saying "Look! That lemur its Earth-bending!"

The Gaang looked down and saw Momo standing under the boulder holding his hands up making it seem like he was doing the bending.

Sokka facepalmed himself before shouting at the soldier saying "It's not the Lemur you fucking idiot! it's the girl!" he then pointed at Katara who was still in her Earth-bending stance.

Dijin while still bending the boulder thought to himself "And these guys are winning the war. Wow, that's actually a little depressing."

The soldier realizing how stupid he was said "Oh yeah, that makes more sense." he then cleared his throat and shouted "Arrest that girl for Earth-bending!"

Sokka then made to "hold her prisoner" as he said in her ear "You've got twelve hours to find Haru. We'll be right behind you."

The soldiers then grabbed Katara and started to lead her away as Aang and Dijin came out of their hiding spot to watch her leave. Once they were out of sight Sokka said "All right, let's get Appa and follow them."

Aang and Dijin both said "Right!" before the trio ran to Haru's home to get Appa.

xxLine Breakxx

The trio followed the Fire Nation ship that had Katara to what looked like a giant metal Rig with black smoke coming out of metal chimney stacks. Aang seeing how dreadful the place looked watched on in worry.

Sokka seeing Aang's face said "Don't worry Aang. She'll be fine, Katara knows what she's doing."

The trio stayed high above the clouds on Appa so they wouldn't be spotted as they waited for Katara's twelve hours to expire.

While they flew Dijin was able to get a look at how the Earth-benders were treated and their living conditions. After watching for a few minutes Dijin was absolutely disgusted with the Fire Nation for turning these strong Earth-benders into weak empty husks.

After hours of waiting, it was finally dark when Aang had Appa floated down to one of ledges of the platform. After avoiding some searchlights Sokka was able to sneak into the prison and grab Katara. Once the siblings joined up with Dijin and Aang Sokka said "Your twelve hours are up where's Haru? We've gotta get out of here."

Katara with a determined gaze said "I can't."

Sokka seeing the searchlights and the guards said hastily "We don't have time. There's guards everywhere."

Dijin seeing her distress asked "Katara, what's going on?"

Katara just said passionately "I'm not leaving. I'm not giving up on these people."

Dijin realizing this was going to be a long-talk said "Let's find a place to hide before we get caught then we can talk."

The group nodded in agreement as Aang sent Appa away before leaving the ledge with the others and finding some crates to hide behind.

Once the coast was clear Sokka said "What do you mean you're not leaving?"

Katara with an insistent gaze said "We can't abandon these people. There has to be a way to help them."

Dijin looked at Sokka and said "I agree with Katara, it sickens me to see what the Fire Nation has done to these Earth-benders."

Aang added his two cents saying "I think they're right, what do you say Sokka?"

Sokka just pointed at the trio saying "I think your all crazy. Now, let's get the hell out of here."

Katara and Dijin both stubbornly said "No."

Sokka shook his head at the two before saying "I hate it when this happens. Fine, but we don't have much time. What are we gonna do?"

Katara held her head down saying "I tried talking the Earth-benders into fighting back but it didn't work."

Dijin looked at her and said "It was good that you tried but even I have to admit an Earth-bender without Earth can't really fight back all that much."

Sokka then said "But this whole place is made of metal." he then knocked on the floor they were sitting on to emphasize his point.

Aang then smelled something burning and looked up before saying "No, it's not. Look at that smoke." He then pointed to one of the metal chimney stacks throughout the Rig as he said "I bet they're burning coal. In other words..."

Dijin finished his sentence saying with a smirk "Earth."

xxLine Breakxx

The next morning Katara and Sokka were standing by a vent that was in the prisoner's courtyard.

As they went over they're plan to liberate the Earth-benders Katara looked at Sokka saying "It's almost dawn. We're running out of time. You sure this is gonna work?"

Sokka replied with "It should. these vents lead down to the same place, A huge deposit of coal at the base of the platform. The whole place is ventilated. Aang and Dijin closed all of the vents except one and that's the one we're at now. When they do their bending, the coal has only one place to go... right back here."

Suddenly they heard soldiers shouting "Intruder!" they turned around and were suddenly surrounded by Fire Nation soldiers.

Sokka grabbed his club and said "Stay back! I'm warning you!"

Meanwhile Down below at the base of the Rig Aang and Dijin were getting ready to bend the coal up to the Earth-benders.

Just when Aang was about to use his Air-bending Dijin stopped him and said "Aang let me do this alone. I need to show the Fire Nation that Earth-benders aren't dogs to be kicked around."

Aang nodded his head in understanding as he said "Do it."

Dijin then kicked the grate away from then vent they were in as he jumped down to the pile of coal. He then started to wave his arms in a circlular motion Earth-bending the coal into a giant round pillar, He then clenched his fists and thrusted them downwards quickly as he started moving upwards at fast rate.

After a few seconds Dijin came bursting through the vent that led to the courtyard and Earth-bent as much coal as he could to the surface. Once he was finished, he released the coal and he was now standing on a pile that was at least 15 feet high.

Katara instantly climbed up to join him and shout "Earth-benders as you can see, one of your very own has come to give you what you need to fight and take back your lives! Your fate is in your own hands!"

However, despite having Earth right in front of them the Earth-benders spirits were too broken to do anything but cower back.

The warden and his soldiers laughed evilly behind Katara as he said "Foolish girl. You thought a few words and some stupid coal would make a difference? Look at their hopeless faces. They are nothing more tha-"

he was cut off because suddenly a lava buzzsaw went by him causing his soldiers to scream in shock. The warden confused at their screams asked "What are you idiots screaming abo-"

his words died in his throat as he looked down at his left arm and saw that it had been severed from the elbow down the wound instantly cauterized due to the lava.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" the warden suddenly screamed as he fell to the ground grasping his now stump of an arm.

Everyone then looked at Dijin who was holding his hands out and beginning to bend some coal as he said "You just need to shut up." Dijin then looked at the Earth-benders and said "If words are not enough for you to act! Then let a true Earth-bender show you what freedom is through action!"

he then started to move his hands in a circular motion creating two lava buzzsaws and threw them at the Fire-benders killing a group of them instantly. He then moved his hands behind himself creating a pool of magma out of the coal. He then held his hands up at chest level with his fingers splayed open. Then behind him orbs of magma rose up from the pool as he glared at the soldiers around him.

The Fire-benders took a step back in fear never seeing bending of this caliber before.

Dijin then let out a battle cry "Rahhhh" he shouted before doing a front-flip kicking one of the magma orbs at the Fire-benders. Once the orb made contact, it exploded spreading hot magma among the soldiers melting their armor and skin instantly.

The soldiers tried to spread out but he then did a rotating sidekick sending another orb at the Fire-benders killing another group instantly.

The soldiers then tried to desperately Fire-bend some streams at him but he scared the Fire-benders even more by grabbing two more orbs with his bare-hands the lava not even leaving a scratch on him. he then threw one before turning in a circle and throwing the other one. He then splayed his hands open spreading the magma out smothering the flames. He then thrusted his hands forward sending the molten rock and fire at the soldiers killing yet another group of Fire-benders. He then held his arms at his sides Earth-bending some rock gauntlets onto his arms from the coal. He then launched himself into a group of Soldiers and started to beat them senseless their bones and armor breaking instantly from the hardened coal.

The warden from his position, seeing this one bender defeating his soldiers shouted hysterically "Kill him! All of you, do whatever it takes to kill that spirit possessed bender!"

Haru after seeing Dijin use his lava-bending and hearing his words had a determined frown as he suddenly thrusted his fists up and bent some coal into a boulder then threw it at some soldiers who were trying to get Dijin from behind.

Dijin saw this and nodded at Haru who nodded back and he was about to continue fighting until he was stopped by his father who grabbed his shoulder saying "Stop Haru. what are you doing!?"

Haru pulled away from his father and shouted "Look at him Dad! And look at Katara!" Haru then pointed at Dijin and Katara who were fighting off a group of soldiers with Water-bending and Earth-bending respectively.

Haru then continued to shout at his father saying "They're fighting for us Dad, and for all Earth-benders! Unlike you I'm done being a coward!" Haru then bent some more coal Joining Dijin and Katara in the fighting.

Haru's father looked at his son in awe as he watched him fight for his freedom. Haru's father gaze hardened and he moved his arms behind himself collecting a large amount of coal. He then started to bend the coal onto his body until he was completely covered in coal armor making him resemble a black knight. He then charged the soldiers with a fearsome ferocity as he was not about to let his son fight alone but even more than that he can't have his son thinking he was coward as another man and woman fought on.

Soon one by one the Earth-benders began to rise up and fight back creating boulders, pillars, and all sorts of earth weapons. Finally, after fighting for a few minutes Dijin shouted "All Earth-benders to me!"

The Earth-benders all then obeyed his command as if it was the most natural thing for them to do as he shouted "Let's clean up the trash!"

Then he and all the other Earth-benders in perfect sync rotated their arms and fists as they began to bend the entire amount of coal capturing the remaining Fire Nation soldiers along with it.

Soon all the Fire nation troops were trapped in a giant ball of earth as Dijin then shouted "To the Ocean!"

The Earth-benders then did a synchronized march as they moved the ball over the water with the Fire-benders beginning to scream in terror as the warden pleaded saying "No! Please! I can't swim!"

Dijin just shouted "Don't worry. I hear cowards float... Release!"

The Earth-benders quickly stopped bending the coal sending the trapped soldiers sinking into the ocean. The Earth-benders then started cheering and celebrating finally having won their freedom.

After a little more celebrating the Gaang and the freed Earth-benders left the metal nightmare behind as they sailed away on the Fire Nations boats.

As they sailed away Haru's father stepped forward to talk to Katara and Dijin and once he stood in front of them he said with a slight bow "Katara. Dijin. Thank you for saving us. For saving my son. I can't begin to repay you."

Katara waved him off saying "It was just a little bit of coal."

Dijin then spoke saying " And I only did what any Earth-bender would have done."

Haru walked up to them saying "No, it was much more than that. It was the both of you, you both inspired us to finally take back our freedom and our home."

Haru's father spoke again and placed his hands on Dijin's and Katara's shoulders saying "Thank you both for helping me find my courage, Katara of the Water Tribe and Dijin of the Earth Kingdom. My family and everyone here owes you much."

Dijin clasped his right fist into his left hand and bowed at Haru's father saying "It was my honor to help you and my fellow countryman"

Katara looked at Haru's father expectantly saying "So, I guess you're going home now."

Haru's father replied "Yes, like Haru said we are going to take back our home." he then turned around and raised his fist shouting "We shall take back all our homes! The Fire Nation will regret the day they thought the Earth Kingdom would lay down and be conquered! We will show them what cowards the Fire Nation truly are!"

The Earth-benders roared in approval at his words as the Gaang smiled on in approval as well.

Katara went to stroke her necklace but her eyes suddenly widened feeling nothing but skin. "No! My necklace!"

Aang concerned asked "Katara what's wrong?"

She then said in a panic "My mother's necklace, I lost my mother's necklace!"

The Gaang then gathered around her and tried to comfort her as she started to break down and cry never knowing that her necklace was picked up by a certain exiled prince.
