"When I have no Monsters on my field I can summon Photon Thrasher directly to my field." Haruto took the card from his hand and hit it on his duel disk; the monster was a robot with a yellow X on his body while carrying a sword that he handled with style. It aimed it at Yuzu.

"Then if I have a Photon monster on my field I can summon Photon Vanisher from my hand!" He introduced another new card, this time it was a sniper robot that shone with an intense glow

"When Vanisher is summoned to the field I can add Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon from my deck!"
As he took the card, Haruto put it on his chest, closing his eyes, catching the attention of the Yuzu.
"Brother, I still have this opportunity to avenge you and I will not waste it, I promise I will fulfil the promise I made to you." Haruto opened his eyes after thinking of his brother and was determined to win. That last sentence of Haruto caught the attention of one of Yuzu's ace Monsters, Pendulum Warrior. She appeared behind Yuzu.
"Galaxy-Eyes?" Warrior muttered "Could it be that he has also returned?" Yuzu heard her but couldn't talk to her because Haruto would think she was crazy.
"Then I will perform a Xyz summon using my two level four Monsters!" The two creatures became energy and a portal appeared on the ground while the Photon duelist recited his chant. "Protector of the galaxies emerge once again and with your brilliants eyes protect me! Come forth rank four Starliege Photon Blast Dragon!"
Both Monsters became energy and went through the portal on the ground, generating a big explosion that brought a new creature with it.
This was a white metal dragon that shone with a blue glow on its metallic wings, shining with its intense red eyes, like the orbs that surrounded it. It raised the dust of the field with its roar causing Yuzu to cover herself.

"It doesn't look that strong." the girl said to herself, noting that her opponent's Monster was in defence. "The defence is high but I can easily handle that."
"This isn't even my most powerful Monster." This caught the attention of Yuzu
"When Starliege is summoned to the field, I can summon a Photon Monster from my hand; I summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"
"It's impossible, it can't be!" Warrior screamed, not believing what was about to happen.
"The embodiment of light, now descend! Appear now, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"
A flash appeared from the sky, as a meteor descended to the ground a bright light blinded Yuzu. That flash took the shape of a dragon which when he turned into a physical form. It walked on two legs and had wings that shone with purple scales on his body, when he released his roar the dust he raised was much stronger than the other Xyz beast.
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon 3000 ATK / 2500 DEF / Light / Level 8 / Dragon /
"In this dimension, this beast is known as the Xyz assassin, feared by all and was responsible for bringing justice to this dimension for the fallen!" Haruto yelled.
Yuzu was amazed at the beast; his great strength was that impressive. She rubbed her lips and didn't avoid backing up for a moment. But she knew that things could not stay that way, she had faced strong creatures before.
"Don't back down." The duelist stopped when someone interrupted her, it was Pendulum Warrior who laughed without stopping. "Xyz assassin?! Come on Photon Dragon couldn't even kill a fly."
Yuzu watched her, her face said everything that it was not a good situation at this moment as a result Warrior stopped laughing
"Don't worry I know that monster, he was my ex-boyfriend and also tutor of Stargazer Magician."
"Stargazer, is that true?" Yuya looked at the wizard, to know if what he said was true. His nod confirmed that it.
"Galaxy Eyes Dragon was known as one of the pioneers of astronomy in the old world for his abilities and being the first to be in contact with the numbers. The monsters that protected the stars, the servants of the Barian and Astral worlds. I'm not surprised that he was in this dimension but I'm worried about the fact if he's still on our side or not."
As Yuzu was about to reply, Haruto interrupted.
"If you're done talking to thin air, I'll leave a face-down card and finish my turn."
Turn 2

"Draw!" Yuzu looked at the card in her hand and smiled when she looked at the other two cards in her hand, she took them and showed them to Haruto, it was two Pendulum Cards. "I set my Pendulum scale with scale three Orato the Melodious Soloist and scale seven Cantanta the Melodious Master!"
The two pillars of light were formed each containing a Monster on each side. The first who had the number three underneath was a woman like the other melodious who had yellow-skin and wore a ceremonial dress with vivid red colours, her hair was short and pink that was adorned with a musical hairclip. The other Melodious in the Pendulum Zone was radically different from the others; he wore a suit that was much more masculine that was of black and white colours that accompanied his purple skin, in addition to carrying a notebook in his hand.

But Yuzu still was not finished yet.
"When Orato is placed with another Melodious Monster in the Pendulum Zone, she can increase another's scale by two." Orato began to recite a song that by itself was heard all over the field.

Even Yuya could not help but find the song something relaxing.
"It's weird I've been around them all this time but I didn't bother to actually listen to the music they were making, it's so relaxing." Stargazer Magician appeared in front of him also curious about the Melodious melodies.
"That melody seems familiar to me for some strange reason."
The magician put his hand on his chin until he raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"I remember, that's the old melody that master Galaxy-Eyes used to listen to, will he recite it too?"
Yuzu noticed something on Haruto's field, he was watching his dragon, it seemed like he was relaxed, she didn't know what to think about it.
"It's like Warrior said… that dragon doesn't seem to be a warrior..." Yuzu thought before jumping back to the duel. "Now thanks to my increased scale I can summon Monsters from level four to eight simultaneously!" She raised her hand to make her next move. "Now I will Pendulum Summon thanks to this scale and it will resonate the wall of the dimensions and bring my servants with me!"
Between the two pillars of energy a new multi-coloured portal of the sky was formed.
"Pendulum Summon! Appear Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestraand warrior of the purple stone, Queen Knight Amethyst Warrior!" Two rays of energy appeared from the portal to the floor, showing Mozarta reciting a song while dancing to her rhythm was Amethyst Warrior.
Haruto and Anna weren't impressed, even smirking when observing the monsters.
"Do you think if I see your Monsters I will buy your lie that you aren't part of Academia?" Haruto said, making a reaction of disgust. Yuzu felt that there was nothing she could do to change his mind. The most that she could hope for in this situation is that her dueling spoke for her.
"When Amethyst is summoned to the field I can summon a level four Monster to the field from my deck." A card came out of the duel disk which she picked up. "I'll summon Tamtam the Melodious Diva to the field!"
Amethyst raised her sword causing it to shine in a purple colour; it opened a portal that revealed the new Melodious of Yuzu. This was a small girl in a green suit that had a red corset, her skin was pink, she had a huge bell and what appeared to be a shield.

"When Tamtam is summoned to the field while I control a Melodious Monster I can add a Polymerization to my hand." Just mentioning that rang all the alarms in their heads, causing their blood to boil, she knew she had lost Haruto and Anna by this point. Haruto couldn't let such an act go unpunished.
"You try to prove to me that you aren't from Academia but you go and insult us by using the card which they used to change the lives of our friends and brothers!" A cry of anger came from his resentful heart filled with pure hatred. Yuzu didn't respond, continuing her turn.
"Then I will activate Mozarta's effect which allows me to summon a Melodious Monster from my hand!" Yuzu's ace Monster started reciting a song. "Go onto the stage and accompany your sisters Baritone the Melodious Songstress!"
After the card was put on the blade of her duel disk, a musical instrument was heard behind Mozarta, it came from a new Monster. The new Melodious was different from all that came before as it was a man who had a yellow and pink suit between the half that agreed with her blue skin and blonde hair.

"I activate Baritone's effect, by discarding a card from my hand." Yuzu showed the card and it was Polymerization. "I can draw a card from my deck." She took the card from her deck and looked at it. "If the card I took is a Monster, I can select a higher level monster on your field and return it to your deck."
She showed Haruto her Melodious Kuriboh.
"Now I can destroy your Galaxy Eyes Dragon, Devastating Echo!"
With his trumpet the Monster made a sound wave so powerful that it was about to destroy the Monster but as always, the member of the Resistance responded.
"Due to the effect of my Starliege, my Monsters with attack greater than 2000 can't be targeted by card effects." Starliege generated an energy field that protected Galaxy Eyes Dragon from the current of wind that was heading towards it. Haruto once again observed his dragon and grabbed his chest; he wouldn't let anything happen to this card and let his brother fall into oblivion.
Yuzu bit her lips but at least she knew what to do next time. "If I can't destroy your dragon with effects, at least I can use something else against him." The Pendulum duelist observed between the platforms an Action Card that could help in this situation and smiled. She looked at her monsters "You know what we have to do." Her monsters nodded.
Amethyst was the first to get on her knees giving Yuzu the idea that she could use her to make her jump higher. The duelist ran and then jumped on Amethyst and barely reached the first platform
"Using Polymerization in that way…. we've seen this before!" Anna mentioned to Haruto. Haruto put himself in defensive position after hearing her words.
Before reaching the last platform, Mozarta gave her one last boost and took her there, the girl thanked Mozarta. She took the card and with a jump back, fell to the ground with grace.
"I activate my Action Card, Sound Off! This card allows me to negate the effect of a Monster on my field and on yours!" Yuzu pointed to Starliege Dragon. "I negate the effect of Baritone on my field to deny Starliege's!"
Both creatures were hit by a bolt of lightning that left their bodies paralyzed.
"Then I will perform a Xyz summon with my two level fours!" Both creatures became energized while the field featured an energy hole. "Light up the stage and make your voice heard, Rank four Aquamarine the Melodious Teacher!"A big explosion occurred from the portal and revealed Yuzu's Melodious.

"She also dares to use Xyz before our eyes?!" Haruto pressed his fists; even tears came out of his eyes for such an act of contempt. "I will not forgive any of you; I will send you to hell!"
Yuzu could not do anything for him; at least she hoped that her dueling was the key for him to reconsider at least.
"I activate the effect of Cantata in my Pendulum Zone which allows me to select a Monster on my field whose attack is less than my opponent's; I will select Baritone and return it to my hand. Baritone come back! With this I can reduce the attack of your Galaxy-Eyes Dragon by the attack of Baritone, until the end of the turn!"
Musical notes began to appear, Haruto's dragon began to hear it and it slowly lost its brilliance. The music tranquilized it to the point of becoming docile.
Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon ATK: 3000-2400 = 600
"With his attack diminished in that way Yuzu can defeat both Monsters and leave Haruto's field empty!" Yuya commented but his sorcerer who accompanied him did not trust how Haruto had no reaction to this move, he was waiting to see the next move.
"I will begin my battle phase; I attack Galaxy Eyes Dragon with Aquamarine, Harmonious Wave!"
Aquamarine launched a great sound wave towards Galaxy-Eyes dragon. A smirk from Haruto alerted Yuzu that something was wrong. "
"No!"
"Galaxy Eyes is known as the Xyz assassin, not only because of his huge presence but because of the fact that when he attacks or is attacked he takes away the soul of his opponent!"
"What?!" Yuzu and Yuya shouted simultaneously.
"The effect of Galaxy-Eyes allows me to release him and a Monster on the field when he is attacked or attacks an opponent's monster, Galaxy Sidewinder!" The dragon began to recover its colour and with an intense brightness, made him and Aquamarine disappear from the field almost simultaneously.
Haruto smirked seeing Yuzu's annoyed face, he spoke in a low tone: "How do you feel when someone or something you love is taken away from you?"
"I'm not an Academia soldier, please; I'm not trying to hurt you!" Yuzu said but none of her words convinced Haruto.
"All the infiltrators say that to convince us, do you know how many of them I have already confronted? You've tried to make me believe that you are my allies!" Haruto's words were angrier than anything but there was also some melancholy in his words.
"Infiltrated?" Yuya asked.
"Academia soldiers who take on the appearance of members of the Resistance to enter our group! They try and attack us when we are distracted; we have been dealing with them for a long time!" Anna replied to Yuya's question "That's why we will not take the risk of trusting someone from the outside."
"And you have a Fusion card only builds my distrust in you and your friend, even more so that you seem to know Shun's name!" Haruto mentioned after Anna was finished. Yuzu was frustrated, she had to do something to gain the confidence of the Resistance members or at least get them to see that her actions were not hostile, she continued with her battle phase.
"Now attack Mozarta, Glorious Wind!" Mozarta launched a great gust of wind.
"Not so fast, I activate from my hand the effect of my two Galaxy Tyrannos!" He took two cards from his hand and inserted them into his duel disk. "I can summon them to the field in defence mode, when a Galaxy Monster is attacked!"
On his field materialized two tyrannosaurs that had grey armour, both monsters roared with intensity when emerging on the field.

"Two Monsters at the same time?!" Yuya exclaimed.
"That's not all! When I have another Galaxy Monster I can perform a Xyz summon at this time using them! I use my Galaxy Monsters and build the overlay network!"
Again the portal opened on the floor and the two creatures were sent into the portal.
"From the confines of space once there was a protector of the galaxy that was fighting alongside Galaxy-Eyes dragon, that great protector once again emerges! Come forth Number 90: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord!"
There was a great explosion and out of this emerged a new creature, it was a warrior who carried a sword of light and a shield with scales that combined with all his armour, it seemed to be made of dragon scales, similar to the Galaxy Eyes Dragon.

"Will it have any effects that will stop my monster's attack?" Yuzu questioned.
"Unfortunately, no." as Haruto responded, Mozarta's wind gusts came to destroy Haruto's Starliege Dragon causing him to cover himself from the dust generated by the explosion.
Haruto LP: 4000-800 = 3200
"Now that you've finished your Battle Phase both of our monsters return to the field again." Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon and Yuzu's Melodious Monster again returned but not as Yuzu expected.
Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon ATK: 4000
Yuzu gasped when she saw that Haruto's dragon returned with more attack points, she needed an answer,
"How has your Monster returned with more force?"
"It's the special effect of Galaxy-Eyes, when he banishes an Xyz Monster from the field, he gains 500 attack points for each of the Monster's overlays units." The dragon roared after Haruto finished explaining and a blue aura was surrounding his body. "That's why it's called the Xyz assassin, because it banishes the soul of its opponents and feeds on them." he explained with a grin on his face. Yuzu was frustrated for not doing much more during her turn but that didn't mean she was finished.
"I activate the Pendulum effect of Orato!" Orato recited a new song. "After having made a Pendulum Summon this turn, I can return a monster from my Pendulum Zone to my deck and then add another Pendulum to my hand, Cantanta will be leaving the stage." Cantata gave a reverence to say goodbye while Yuzu returned her to the deck, her deck was shuffled and she added Nephitys to her hand. "Now I put Baritone in my pendulum zone."
A new pillar of light appeared and Yuzu's previous Melodious monster appeared in its place

"I finish my turn with a face down." Yuzu had slight feeling that Galaxy Eyes Dragon was looking at her and it was exactly what was happening. Both crossed glances and their eyes began to shine intensely, covering the whole world.
Elsewhere
Other members of the Resistance, Ruri and Rio to be exact, were still walking until they reached the Resistance's base, when they had to stop suddenly when the Lyrilusc duelist fell to the ground. Rio heard how she fell to the ground and quickly turned anxious.
"Ruri!" She tried to wake her up but the girl seemed to be sound asleep.
"Now what?!"
….
The same situation happened in another part of Xyz. Ray fell asleep on Shun's back. Neither knew what it was due to but everything seemed to be connected.
….
"Turn the weak into cards and have no mercy with those who escape!"
It was the voice of an Academia soldier that made Yuzu open her eyes. Everything was in chaos while the Ancient Gear destroyed everything in its path as if it was nothing. Destruction and flames consumed the city.
She covered herself due to the rumblings and explosions while watching as an Ancient Gear Golem watched her with its bright red eyes
"I won't leave you." a voice cried out.
Yuzu tried to take action using her duel disk but it wasn't there.
"Damnit!" Yuzu yelled. She was paralyzed when the giant had the intention of stepping on her.
"Yuzu!" Ruri shouted her name, running to her with as much force as possible, she dived to the area where the Ancient Gear was, saving her before it dropped its foot. The two girls tumbled over to safety.
Ruri was the first to get up off the ground. "You're safe, at least, but we should leave, this is place isn't safe." She helped her up off the ground and held her hand to a safe place.
"Where are we?!" The alarmed Yuzu asked, Ruri didn't respond immediately, it wasn't only because of the heat of the situation but she knew very well that it was this place.
"It's Xyz but for some reason we are when the war broke out." The Pendulum duelist was shocked, how was this possible? However they had returned to this point of time and there was no time to question it.
"I need help!" It was a familiar voice that made them both stop running, it was Ray who was being chased by an Ancient Gear Hound group and at the same time a Chaos Giant was behind her.
"Ray!" Both girls shouted and ran immediately to her, both girls took her hands but it was already too late to get out, one of the Ancient Chaos Giants was preparing to shoot one of their energy blasts towards them. The girls embraced, knowing that this was his end, they were afraid but at least they could face it together in the end
A roar of a dragon was heard, a discharge of piercing energy from behind the chest of the Ancient Gear caused it to puncture, destroying it immediately while the Ancient Gear Hunting Hound backed down to the destruction of the larger monster.
"What? What just happened?" Yuzu muttered confused by the whole situation, she didn't have the words to continue instead see saw Ruri who was paralyzed with fear.
"Ka-Kaito." She couldn't believe the figure she was looking was in front of her, it was the shadow of a dragon and its owner behind the smokes of the flames, its neon blue colour made it shine after the destruction of the city, even the shadow of its owner seemed like that of a demon. The reactions of the each of the girls were different from the others.
Ray's was somewhat strange, she didn't feel afraid nor was she paralyzed like the other girls, the roars of the dragon didn't give her that feeling, it was as if the roars of the beast was was a cure to an ailment rather than create fear.
"What happened with that dragon?" Ray wondered. The Pendulum duelist immediately recognized the figure of the Monster; it was the same one that she was fighting before.
"Galaxy-Eyes!" The bright light again blinded the duelist and the world again disappeared.
"Yuzu, wake up!" The Pendulum duelist opened her eyes when she heard three people, her vision wasn't clear at all, she could swear that Ray and Ruri were in front of her.
"Ruri, Ray, what are you doing here?" she asked, getting up off the floor.
"How do you know that name, what the hell did you do with Ruri?!" Anna asked raising her voice, even wanting to enter the field. "Tell me what you did with her!"
"Anna, I'm here!" Ruri said but she realized she wasn't being heard, she observed her hands were intangible and once she saw Yuzu and Ray she realized that she was no longer in her body. "What's going on now?" she asked Yuzu.
"Could it be that our souls have abandoned our bodies? Is it some effect of losing our bracelets?" Ray commented. Warrior appeared in front of them to answer that question:
"Some plan of Ciel, I'm sure, something in case all the bracelets disappeared. I imagine it was a way that the five would be together in some way."
"Ruri is a friend of ours too, we met her at Standard." Yuya commented, hoping that this time he would convince Anna. But his words didn't reach the woman. "
"Be silent! The more I listen to you the more disgusted I get!" Anna shouted pointing at both of them with repulsion.
"Haruto! End all of them! Do it for your brother!" Haruto nodded
"Brother?" Yuzu and Ray muttered at the same time.
"His brother was the leader of the Resistance before Shun." Ruri explained pressing her hand to her chest as she looked sadly at Haruto trying to keep the tears from coming out of his eyes. "He sacrificed himself fighting against our old friend Ryouga Kamishiro along with my best friend Sayaka and Allen, Anna's cousin."
Yuzu and Ray felt sorry for both of them, it explained the reason the two Resistance members acted in that way, but they had to return to the duel since Haruto began his turn.
Turn 3

"Draw!" Haruto took the card from his deck and when he looked at it he had a grin on his face, it was exactly where he needed.. "From my hand I will activate the Field Spell, Photon World!"
He slammed the card on his duel disk, causing it to emerge on the field as the world around them changed drastically.
"Photon World?!" Yuzu asked and at the same time saw how the ground around her changed, now she was in a meteor in the deep space where the stars glittered across the sky. "Incredible..." Haruto laughed at the girl's statement.
"Don't worry, you've not seen anything yet! I activate Galaxy Expedition's effect from my hand, allowing me to summon a Galaxy Monster in defence mode. I will summon Galaxy Knight to the field." A knight in armour mounted on a plane came to the field with the other Galaxy
Galaxy Knight 2800 ATK / 0 DEF / Light / Level 8 / Warrior /
"He'll make another Xyz Summon or he's thinking of attacking me with all those Monsters-" Before Yuzu could finish, Ruri yelled at her.
"Yuzu, get up now!" The Pendulum duelist looked up, raising her eyebrows when she realized that meteors were coming towards her.
"The effect of Photon World is activated immediately, when a Photon Monster is summoned to the field, all players except those who have Photon monsters on their side of the field suffer 100 points of damage by the level of the summoned monster." The meteors hit Yuzu directly, she covered herself from the attack but the blows were still strong.
"Yuzu!" Ruri, Yuya and Ray were screaming at their partner. The duelist was fine but the shock of those meteors was a lot of damage, enough to leave her resting on her knees. She was helped by Mozarta and the spirit of Warrior to get up off the ground.
"Thank you." The Pendulum duelist thanked her cards.
Yuzu LP: 4000-800 = 3200
"You need to suffer more and I'll follow it with this, I'll activate the face-down card, Photon Change!" The card rose and Haruto put his hand on his chest, muttering something while his eyes were on the ground. "Kaito, I'm doing this for you." Yuzu immediately realized that the familiar of the card's image, it was exactly like the enigmatic figure they saw in that strange vision.
"That's his brother." Both girls listened to what the Xyz duelist said.
"The man we saw in that vision next to the Galaxy Eyes Dragon." Yuzu looked at the dragon again "Could it be that he sent us to that vision?"
"The effect of Photon Change allows me to sacrifice a Photon Monster on the field and activate one of its two effects. I will sacrifice Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon on my field and thanks to this I can activate the two simultaneously!"
"But why get rid of him when it's the Monster with the biggest attack on you field?" Yuzu asked. Ruri bit her lips; she already knew Haruto's strategy.
"Because by doing so, he will do more damage with his next Monsters, thanks to his Spells."
"Brother, the sacrifice you will make will be appropriate, please understand where I'm coming from, I will sacrifice Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon."
The dragon disappeared from the field, but not before giving a slight roar, which Ray was interested to hear and with that the first effect of the Continuous Trap was activated.
"I can summon a Photon monster directly from my deck to the field with a different name; I'll summon Galaxy Cleric to the field." When hitting the Monster Card on his duel disk, sparks came out of this and on his field appeared a sorcerer. He had white robes and was a robot with a single blue eye and he was holding a staff.

"The effect of Photon World is activated again." While Haruto was talking, a few meteors again hit Yuzu.
Yuzu LP: 3200-400 = 2800
"And to follow up the effect of Galaxy Cleric is activated when it's summoned to the field, allowing me to take 5 Galaxy or Photon cards from my graveyard and add them back to my deck, then shuffle and take two new cards from my deck."
The five cards in Haruto's graveyard left the graveyard area and allowed him to then draw two new cards.
"And remember, I haven't used the second effect of my Continuous Trap Card! I can add Galaxy Brave to my hand." He added another card to his hand and smiled at Yuzu. "I activate Galaxy Brave's effect by revealing the Galaxy Wizard in my hand, I can summon it to the field and it takes Wizard's level."
The new Monster summoned was a robot with a big sword and white armour, with blue tones on his shoulders and knee pads.

"If summoned in this way Galaxy Brave takes the level of the revealed Monster!" An aura grew around Brave making his level decrease.
Galaxy Brave Level: 4
"I'll summon Galaxy Wizard." Another monster by Haruto, this time this was a little robot sorcerer in blue robes.
Galaxy Wizard 1500 ATK / 600 DEF / Light / Level 4 / Spellcaster /
"I activate its effect and destroy so I can add a card to my hand." The sorcerer was destroyed and the young member of the Resistance took a card from his hand. "I Xyz summon with both Galaxy Brave and Galaxy Cleric!" The portal opened again on the floor and both creatures became energy. "Come forth Rank four! Starliege Lord Galaxion!"
From the explosion emerged a new warrior on the field. It was very similar to Brave, it had futuristic armour but this one carried two swords and what appeared to be wings on his back.

"Now I will use its effect and detach all its overlays units to be able to summon from my deck my Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"
"Again?!" The Pendulum duelist didn't believe what was happening. "That means that my points will be reduced even more!."
"Come back again and together win revenge for my brother! Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!" The dragon again emerged on the field roaring.
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon 3000 ATK / 2500 DEF / Light / Level 8 / Dragon /
This time with more strength the meteors approached with a great speed, Yuzu tried to evade them but without success. They hit her and with a cry of pain she was sent with great speed towards the ground while her life points diminished.
Yuzu LP: 2800-800 = 2000
"Yuzu!" Ray and Ruri appeared next to her trying to see if the duelist was okay.
"Why don't you try to find an Action Card?" Stargazer Magician asked, confused with the strategy of the duelist.
"Because she's more concerned with stopping the Monster's attacks than the summoning of the Monsters." Yuya said worried about his partner, pressing his chest with his fist afraid that Odd-Eyes would take over. "Yuzu, win this duel."
Rising from the ground even with the beating she received, the Pendulum duelist was still standing up even if she was on the verge of losing consciousness, she would not give up so easily, she had to reach Haruto.
"Please, don't do this; believe me when I tell you that the path of violence and anger will not lead you to anything."
"You're still talking…. do you even think even for a moment that I'm going to believe you?!" Haruto shouted, "You don't understand what we've gone through and what we've lost for all of you, if I need to finish every Academia solider that comes to me. I will do so! I attack with my number and my Starliege attacks Aquamarine!"
Nothing could be done; Starliege attacked Aquamarine by splitting her in two. Yuzu showed a card in his hand before the damage affected her and this was her Melodious Kuriboh
"I activate the effect of Melodious Kuriboh from my hand! By sending it to the graveyard I can negate any damage suffered this turn and then make all my Melodious monsters change to defence!"
When discarding it the Kuriboh appeared in front of the duelist and with his harmonious Melody made the explosion created after the destruction of the Melodious fade, then Mozarta entered defence mode.
"I still have more attacks, Photon Lord, destroy her Mozarta!" He charged straight to her, he took his sword and before giving the coup de grace Yuzu stopped him.
"I activate Baritone's effect! When a Fairy-type Monster is destroyed, I can summon another from my graveyard in defence mode, and I'll summon Tam-Tam!" Again Tam-Tam appeared on the field but that did not stop the Mozarta's destruction and the explosion that it generated.
TamTam the Melodious Diva ATK: 1000 DEF: 2000 Light / Fairy / LVL 4
"Galaxy Eyes, Photon Stream!" The dragon charged the necessary energy in his body and from his mouth shot a direct energy discharge towards Tam-Tam erasing it from existence.
"Haruto, you lowered her life points by half!" Anna congratulated him.
"It's not enough, I should have vanished her this turn!" Frustrated with his action, he gritted his teeth and glared at the Pendulum duelist. "But I'll make sure that in my next turn, I'll erase her from existence. Due to the end of my turn, the Continuous Trap Card disappears from the field."
Yuzu was about to start her turn but stopped when she heard Ruri's voice in front of her.
"Yuzu, I have a favour to ask, please let me fight this turn." The girls observed their Xyz sister, the girl looked determined at Yuzu and it showed at the same time that she felt anguish. "You can't help Haruto but if I'm the one who fights, maybe I can appeal to his heart."
"There's more than just appealing to your teammate's, right?" Warrior appeared in front of them, she knew that Ruri was hiding more than she seemed. Ruri nodded at the warrior's question and put her hand on her chest while tears of anger came out of her.
"Every time someone I care about gets hurt, I never do anything to intervene and when I try to fight, I become like my brother and let my actions destroy others. I even let you save Shun from his wrath while I was a simple and stupid observer, I couldn't save Ray from Academia, I was a damsel in distress when Sergey attacked me and Yuto." Ruri said as she put her hands on Yuzu's shoulders and watched her face, tears filled her face. "And the same thing is happening again but now I have this opportunity, please Yuzu let me fight this time."
Yuzu smiled and nodded, feeling compassion for her companion.
"Save them, there is no better person who can take care of this." And with that, both held hands while the eyes of the Pendulum duelist changed to those of Ruri. Yuzu rose from the ground and the one in control of the body right now was Ruri.
"Anna, Haruto, I'm going to save you too."
"Ruri?!" Surprised to hear the voice of Ruri in Yuzu, both members of the Resistance were left with their mouths open.
"Is this another of your damn games?" Anna screamed with tears in her eyes when she heard Ruri's voice. "Do you think you can keep making us suffer like that? Haruto end her! Turn them into cards!"
Turn 4
Haruto LP: 3200 Hand: 1
Ruri LP: 2000 Hand: 1
"It didn't work out as expected." Yuzu said, Ruri agreed with her but that still didn't discourage her.
"But we'll try it together!" She drew the card from Yuzu's deck.
"I'll activate my trap card, Ceremonial Rhythm, when I don't have Melodious Monsters on my field and while I have monsters in my Pendulum Zone, I can return them and then draw two cards from my deck." She returned the cards to her deck, then it shuffled and took two new cards. "Then I'll reset my Pendulum Scale with Queen Knight: The Servant of Horus and Queen Knight: The Servant of Nephthys!"
The scales appeared in front of her.
"The scale that separates life and death appears again, now it will lead the fallen to a new life!"
Horus 8- 2 Nephthys
"Then I will activate the Spell Card Scale 0!" After materializing the Spell on the field, it had the Monsters of Ruri that Haruto and Anna remembered; now she only had to make her plan work.
"Why does that card have Ruri's monsters?" Anna wondered. "It's pretty dirty to use our friend's theme for your purposes!" The Photon duelist was still in denial but at least she had gotten to him somewhat.
"Now I can choose one of my scales and it becomes scale zero this turn, but I can only summon monsters from level 1 to 2, so Nephthys becomes scale zero." The scale below the Nephthys became 0.
Horus 8 – 0 Nephthys
"I use Nephthys' effect to bring Aquamarine back and it becomes level seven!" An orange portal appeared above the field and Aquamarine returned.

"I use Lyrilusc's effect! When she's Pendulum Summoned, her level can be changed from anything between one to ten! I give her level seven!"

"I use Horus! I can select a Xyz Monster and a monster that is on the field and give it a level and at the same time it can become the same type as the selected monster!"
Aquamarine LVL: 7
"A Xyz Monster with a level?!" Haruto yelled.
"Impossible!" Anna shouted out.
"I overlay Lyrilusc and Aquamarine!" Fallen warrior of the ancient world arises once again to your revolution and serves on my side, Come forth rank seven Queen Knight: The Revolutionary Xyz Black Paladin!" Both shot into the sky as a dark beam came down from the sky to the field.
This Monster had dark huge armour with two swords in both hands. While on his back he had two metal wings that radiated energy.

"A Xyz Monster with a level?!" Anna yelled.
"Not possible…." Haruto stuttered.
"If I used a Xyz Monster to Xyz Summon this Monster then all your Monsters lose their effect… that's if they can survive its other effect first!"
"No you don't! I use Number 90's effect! I detach an overlay unit to negate your effect and destroy it!"
90 OU: 2 – 1
Paladin turned grey but Ruri wasn't panicking.
"Since I used Lyrilusc to Xyz Summon, Paladin is unaffected by your effects!"
"What?!"
"Now my effect continues, negating the rest of your Monsters! And I will use my second effect as well! Level eight and lower Monsters are destroyed and Paladin gains 1000 attack!"
"What?!" Haurto saw his two Monsters get destroyed right in front of him.
Paladin ATK: 5000
"I attack your Galaxion!" Paladin charged up with its swords and sliced the Xyz in halve, Haruto was however ready.
"I pay 2000 lifepoints to send Kuriphoton from my hand to the graveyard!"
"Kuriphoton?!" both Yuya and Yuya questioned at once, Anna looked relived that her comrade was still in the duel.
Haruto LP: 3200 – 1200
A black bullet emerged on the field with yellow eyes appeared. It had green fins on each side with blue energy for a tail. It appeared around Haruto forming a light blue force field. Upon destroying Starliege, the damage Haruto would've taken wasn't felt but due to the impact, Haruto was knocked down to one knee. Ruri looked at his lifepoint bar and it didn't change.
"Don't bother looking, it won't change!" Haruto smirked back to his opponent. Kuriphoton stops me taking any more damage this turn!"Haruto slowly got back up as Ruri looked worried.
"Haruto… are you okay?" Ruri replied.
"Shut up! You're not Ruri, stop using her voice or whatever you're doing!" Haruto screamed with tears coming out of his eyes and anger in his words loud enough to make Yuya and Ray freak out. "I lost my brother and half of the people I love, then there's Academia rats like you thinking you could act like one of our companions!"
"I also remember that, I also feel the same pain as you."
"You do not-" Haruto stopped; he was stunned when he noticed that his opponent was crying.
"I also remember losing Sayaka; I also feel that anger of losing Kaito, Allen and many of our comrades!" She fell to the ground holding her head in despair, every minute that her screams and tears fell to the floor was exasperating. "I even got to think like Shun because I thought that maybe that would make everything easier but I just lost even more." She pressed the earth with which she held, then raised her head and watched her fellow Resistance as she got up from the floor, wiping her tears "This war has only made more people suffer like us, people like him and his dimension. The XYZ duelist pointed to Yuya.
"Academia's already managed to destroy other dimensions?" Anna asked.
"Standard, the dimension that he comes from and Ritual the dimension where my sister Ray comes from were devastated equally by Academy."
Tears came out of Ray's face with that simple mention, Yuzu tried to comfort her as best she could.
"All of us here are victims of Academia and we've had the feelings of resentment, anger, fear and despair that they have made us suffer." The tone was stronger this time. "But I will not have those feelings in my heart, I don't care if you don't think I'm Ruri but I will not stay here for a second letting two people I love have their hearts full of anger, I will save them, no matter what that cost!" I leave a card face down." Ruri said as the card materialized on her field. "Your turn."
Her words were enough to stun both Resistance duelists and it was starting to become possible that maybe this person really was Ruri. His face was full of doubt but he knew the machinations that his enemies were capable.
Turn 5
Haruto LP: 1200 Hand: 2
Ruri LP: 2000 Hand: 0
Haruto drew the card from his deck, but in his mind there were doubts, he put his palm to his face.
"This person could really be Ruri, it's not impossible….ugh…! Must be another Academia trap! I'm sure that's it. He watched Ruri, for a moment she could see the reflection of her friend from the Resistance." Damn, I just want to avenge my brother! But all of this is too difficult! Haruto was sobbing, tears came out of his eyes Anna also had no answers for this situation.
"Haruto," Ruri muttered.
"Since it's your turn the effect of your Monster no longer affects my Number 90, so its effects come back." Haruto's Monster gave a scream as the aura disappeared from his body. "I can activate its effect and use an overlay unit and then add to my hand a Photon or Galaxy card."
Photon Lord OU: 0
Haruto added the card to his hand. "I activate Photon Sacrifice, which allows me to destroy a card on my field and with this I can add to my hand a Spell Card if that monster was a Photon Monster."
Galaxy Lord disappeared from the field and Haruto took another new card from his deck. "With this I have enough power to complete my revenge, Brother; I will activate the Spell Message in the Bottle." Ruri tightened her fist as she observed that card.
"He's already won this duel; he has the necessary combo to call it!"
"Ruri what do you want mean?" Yuzu asked. She was swallowing her own saliva, she already knew that card and hesitantly she tried to explain what it was.
"It's ... it's the best known combo for Kaito, he wants to end this duel as quickly as possible."
"When Message in the Bottle is activated I can summon three monsters from the graveyard with their effects negated and their attack at 0." Haruto extended his hand to the sky and called back to his monsters. "Comeback Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon, Cleric and Photonkuriboh!"
The dragon roared along with the other monsters that accompanied them, but because it didn't have its effects it lost its brightness.
"When I use this effect, I have to perform do a Xyz Summon on this turn with these three Monsters, if I don't, at the end of this turn I lose 4000 life points."
"It's a risky strategy, why leave everything to a single move t and worse yet, when none of them have the same level to make a Xyz Summon?" Ray asked Ruri.
"Because this is just part of his move, now there is only one key card missing to call one of the most powerful Monsters in his deck." This impacted on Yuzu and Ray.
"I activate Galaxy Queen's Light and with this I can choose a monster in my field of level seven or higher to make all the monsters on my field have the same level as the monster I chose, I select Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon!" A shining aura surrounded all the creatures and the level of all of them began to change.
Galaxy Cleric LVL: 8
Kuriphoton LVL: 8
"It's time; I'll perform a Xyz Summon used to my three creatures as materials."
The roar of Galaxy Eyes was the last thing that was heard, when the three creatures turned into energy and the portal of the floor opened.
"Radiant galaxy, here and now become the striking light, and show yourself! Descend, my very soul! Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"
The explosion occurred after the creatures became energy and a huge roar came after the explosion passed, revealed to a new creature of this. Similar to Photon Dragon but this had three heads and at the same time all its colour was red.

Yuzu watched the new monster that Haruto summoned to the field, murmuring to Ruri's ears.
"That creature is huge, how powerful is it?"
"It's very powerful, its effects are devastating and we have to plan a way to fight it."
"He's crying." Ray affirmed to both duelists.
"The dragon is crying for some reason, I've heard it before in that memory we were in, it's like it hates the idea of fighting." Yuzu and Ruri watched the new dragon of Haruto, hearing between his roars seemed to be that Ray was right, the beast seemed to sob.
One of Yuzu's ace Monsters appeared in front of them, it was Warrior.
"He didn't like to fight using anger. He was a pacifist more than anything else but if the lives of others were in danger he didn't hesitate to fight those that hurt the innocent."
"So why do you think he's this way? Because he's still fighting against Academia?" Ruri asked the warrior.
"I think he realized that he struggled for so long with hatred in his heart. It made him lose his ideals." Warrior put her hand on her heart as she said that, she kept having some sadness and feeling that it was similar to his. "Like us once.."
Returning to the duel, Haruto continued with his move.
"When I Xyz Summon him using Galaxy-Eyes as material I can negate the effect of all the cards on the field, Photon Howling!" The creature's roar created an aura which hit the Pendulums and at the same time also did the same to Yuzu's Paladin.
Paladin ATK: 3000
"Negate all the effects?!" Yuya commented.
"I'll get this over with and fulfil my revenge." Haruto exclaimed as he took one of his Monster's overlays unit, Photonkuriboh. "I activate the second effect of my Monster and by using an overlay unit from it, I can make your monster lose all its overlay units and this can earn 500 attack points for each one!"
One of the dragon's mouths devoured one of the overlays units, in doing so it gave a huge roar that made the Paladin's overlays unit disappear.
Paladin OU: 2 – 0
Another great roar as its attack points increased, creating an aura that surrounded the mighty dragon
Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon ATK: 5500
"Not only that but I can attack times X the amount detached plus my mandatory attack!"
"That would make three attacks in total! Only two would be enough to eliminate your Paladin, Ruri, along with your lifepoints!" Ray shouted, which Ruri reacted by jumping to look for an Action Card on the bases.
"Battle, destroy with Ultimate Photon Stream of Destruction!" The dragon used its three mouths to discharge a beam of energy strong enough to destroy Ruri's Monster but just in time Ruri found one and inserted it into her duel disk.
"I activate the Action card Miracle, which allows me to not only to save my Monster from your attack but decrease the damage it would suffer from that attack." A multicoloured aura surrounded the paladin but it was not enough because the attack was fired at him, he was thrown into a destroyed building which caused it to explode. The explosion caused slight damage to the armour of the knight and the duelist's lifepoints.
Ruri LP: 2000 - 750
"I still have two other attacks! Do it again Neo Photon but this time wipe her lifepoints out!" The dragon was again preparing another of his attacks.
"Not so fast! I activate the Trap Card, Lyrilusc Fragment of Hope on my field." The card revealed that it had Assembled Nightingale being protected by the Monster Number 39: Utopia with its wings. "When one of my Xyz Monsters of attacked I can add a level one Monster as an overlay unit and cancel the Battle Phase this turn!"
Ruri took Queen Knight Lyrilusc and added it to Paladin, the attack again came towards her but this time Paladin lost its arm and one of his metal wings but Ruri's lifepoints were not affected.
Paladin OU: 1
Paladin was thrown to the floor, the Xyz duelist checked if she was okay.
"I'm sorry you got hurt… thanks for all your effort." Haruto gritted his teeth and was disappointed that he could not finish Ruri off.
"Ugh, next time I'll finish you!"
Turn 6
Haruto LP: 1200 Hand: 1
Ruri LP: 750 Hand: 0
"Fiona…. I know we never got to speak before I lost my bracelet… but we still feel your power within us…. please let me draw a card which can help…" Ruri said as she drew.
The extra deck within Ruri's duel disk lit up as did Yuzu's and Ray's.
"This card?" Ruri thought. "But… it can't help?"
"Ruri! I think…. you just gained a new card to help us out!"
"What? How? We've lost the angels?"
"Yes but… Mina wanted to experiment on us because she thought that there could be some remaining angel energy within us…. maybe just maybe…. we tapped into that?" Ray replied.
"It's to illuminate our darkest hour!" Warrior added. Within Ruri's mind the new card showed, Ruri smiled and turned around.
"Haruto…. as I told Rio, I got stronger by leaving this dimension…. I'll show you the results now! I overlay Paladin…. Xyz Change!"
"Xyz Change?!" Anna and Haruto said in disbelief.
Paladin became an orange light and shot into the sky.
"Fighting for freedom in a world ruled by darkness, trying to forge a new path, appear my Monster and help us right the wrongs, emerge Queen Knight Freedom Knight!" A long-haired purple warrior emerged in a white armoured suit. She held a long white sword.
Queen Knight Freedom Knight 3000 ATK / 2500 DEF / Light / Rank 7 / Warrior / Xyz /OU 2
"What… is that?!" Anna stuttered.
"The card to help all of us! I use her first effect to take an overlay unit from your Monster!"
"What?!" Galaxy-Eyes roared as it left Neo Galaxy-Eyes and instead joined with Freedom
Neo OU: 2
Freedom OU: 3
"So? What can that do?!"
"I now detach one overlay unit! I use Galaxy-Eyes! Galaxy Storm Blade!"
"That's my Monster's attack name!" Haruto yelled back.
"And I'm using it as well!" Galaxy-Eyes energy glowed around Freedom's white sword.
Freedom OU: 2
"I now battle! Freedom's effect sends Neo Galaxy back to your extra deck and you take damage equal to its attack!"
"What?!"
"End this!" Freedom placed her sword into the ground and the whole field lit up in white light. Neo roared as it dissolved as Haruto was sent flying backwards.
