The Gaang after dropping off Shyu somewhere safe continued on their journey to the North Pole.

However, after Aang told them what Roku said, they now only had until the end of summer for Aang to master all four elements before the world would supposedly end. So, now Aang was currently pacing back forth in Appa's saddle stressing out.

Dijin hanging on to Appa's saddle like usual said agitated "Aang I get your stressed but you're making me nervous, please sit down!"

Sokka spoke up next saying "I'm with Dijin. If we hit a bump your gonna go flying off. Why are you so stressed anyway?"

Aang actually spoke sarcastically saying "Oh I don't know, how about the fact that Avatar Roku just told me I need to master all four elements in less than a year, and on top of that if I don't master all four in time A giant-comet is going to help the Fire-benders end the whole freaking world!"

Aang was now glaring at Sokka and breathing heavy While Sokka looked sheepish saying "Oh yeah... Sorry about that. But hey look you mastered Air-bending already so you only have three left to go."

Aang just frowned at Sokka's attempts to make him feel better as he then yelled out in frustration saying "Arrrrg. I haven't even started Water-bending and we're still weeks away from the North Pole. What am I gonna do?!"

Katara grabbed Aang's arm forcing him to sit down in front of her. As he sat, she said "Calm down. It's gonna be ok. If you want, I can try and teach you some of what I know."

Aang looked at her happy saying "You'd do that?"

Katara smiled back saying "Of course." before moving to look over the side of the saddle and saying "We'll need to find a good source of water first."

Sokka looked back at them and sarcastically said "Maybe we can find a small puddle for you guys to splash around in."

Dijin just gripped Appa's saddle tighter saying distressed "As long as we land, I don't care."

About 30 minutes later The Gaang found the perfect spot for Katara and Aang to practice Water-bending. It was an actual oasis with a large pool that led to a river and a large waterfall with a rainbow.

Sokka looked at the oasis dryly saying "Nice puddle."

Aang and Katara were looking at the oasis in awe with big smiles.

Dijin had already stripped down to a pair of green shorts and was laying in the pool floating next to a swimming Appa as he said "Nothing like a good soak to calm the nerves."

Aang seeing his friends enjoying the water shouted out while stripping to his speedo "Don't start without me guy's!"

Katara seeing Aang was getting side-tracked said "Remember the reason we're here."

Aang looked sheepish as he rubbed his head saying "Oh yeah, sorry I just got excited." He then pulled his pants back on followed by his shirt and cloak.

Sokka seeing Dijin just relaxing in the water and Katara and Aang getting ready to Water-bend asked "What am I supposed to do?"

Aang picked up a tree branch with some bushy leaves as he said "You could clean the gunk out of Appa's toes."

This caused Dijin to let out a hearty laugh and say "You walked into that one Sokka."

Sokka crossed his arms and said questioningly "So, while you three play in the water, I do the hard-work picking spirits knows what out of a giant bison's feet?"

Aang held up the branch saying "Mud and bugs definitely."

Sokka looked at the branch dryly for second before shrugging his shoulders saying "Ok."

A few minutes later Katara and Aang were standing on the shore line next to the water as Sokka cleaned Appa across the way and Dijin just continued to relax in the water floating back and forth.

Katara was looking at Aang as she explained Water-bending "This is a pretty basic move, but it still took me months to perfect. So, don't be frustrated if you don't get it right away. You just push and pull the water like this." she then put her lead foot forward with her back foot twisted to the side. she then put her arms out in front of herself and pushed back and forth with her arms while bending her wrists, at the same time the water was beginning to move back and forth at her command. She then said "The key is getting the wrist movement right."

Aang eager to try took the same stance as Katara and copied her motion saying "Like this?"

Katara watched him and said "That's almost right. If you keep practicing, I'm sure eventually-."

She was cut off by Aang who said "Look! I'm bending it already." and sure enough in less than a minute Aang had the move down surprising Katara.

Katara looked at Aang and said "Wow! I can't believe you got that so quickly." She then looked a little put off as she said "It took me two whole months to learn that move."

Aang shrugged his shoulders saying humbly "Well, you had to figure it out on your own. I'm lucky enough to have a great teacher."

Katara feeling slightly better by his words said "Thanks."

Aang excited to learn more said "So, what's next?"

Katara nodded her head saying "Ok, this is a more difficult move. I call it streaming the water." She then held her hands out and bent her wrists side to side Water-bending a small stream out of the pool, she then rotated her hands bringing the stream to her. She then started to twirl her hands in circles manipulating the directions the water went. As she was bending the water she said "It's harder than it looks, so don't be disappointed if..."

She was cut-off again as she noticed Aang get the technique down very quickly, even going as far as to show-off manipulating the water like a snake around his body, then twirling it above his head, before finally putting it back in the pool.

Katara dropped the water she was holding as she pouted at Aang's skill before quickly schooling her features. As she then commented "Nice work. Though the over the head flare was a bit unnecessary."

Aang looked sheepish again saying "Sorry. Well, don't stop now I'm like a sponge at the moment."

Katara turned away slightly as she said unsure "Well, I kind of know this one other move, but it's pretty hard. I haven't even figured it out yet." She then faced the water and said "The Idea is to create a big, powerful wave." Katara then started to raise her arms up and down while bending her wrists forward as she attempted the move, she then continued to move her arms as a small wave was forming, but soon the strain was too much and Katara stopped bending the water the small wave collapsing with sweat now on her forehead.

Aang smiled as he said "Like this?" he then stood still as he raised his arms high while bending his wrists forward, next thing they knew a giant wave was formed.

Sokka who was cleaning Appa still, saw the wave coming screaming "Aang, Aang, Aang!"

Dijin who was relaxing in the water suddenly felt himself rising as he thought "What the..." He didn't have long to think because he was thrown from the pool of water and into a tree face first. Dijin then began falling down the tree cursing between each fall "Spirit's...Damn...it...this...is..." he then hit the ground face first the others wincing as he landed. He then picked his head up finishing his sentence saying "Bullshit!"

Sokka who was in the water screamed "What the hell Aang?!"

Aang seeing Sokka and Dijin states rubbed his head saying "Sorry guys! I guess the wave got away from me"

Sokka just threw his arm out angrily towards the river saying "Say sorry to our supplies because you just 'practiced' them down river."

Dijin who was now on his feet looked at Aang across from him with a glare and yelled "Hey, Aang!"

Aang answered with "What?"

Dijin then kicked the ground with his heel Earth-bending a pillar under Aang causing him to scream and be launched into the water. Dijin then shouted "Have a nice swim!"

Katara giggled at the action due to her slight jealousy over Aang's skills.

After Sokka and Aang got out of the water they gathered around Sokka as he said "Ok guys, Now thanks to a certain Air-bender." Sokka then leaned in close to Aang and glared slightly. Aang just smiled awkwardly and was dripping wet as Sokka then continued speaking "We have to get some more supplies; bad news is though we only have 3 copper pieces left from what King Bumi gave us."

Dijin spoke up next having gotten dressed saying "Don't worry about money. I have about 30 silver pieces left from my military pay, So let's just find some merchants and get back to the matter at hand." They nodded in agreement before looking for the nearest town.

The Gaang had been able to find a harbor town where most of the goods came from boat's and traveling merchants.

Dijin and Sokka were getting supplies while Aang was with Katara at a stall buying something. When Sokka and Dijin finished shopping Dijin had a bag tied around his shoulders as they met up with Aang and Katara. Once they got together Aang showed off a Sky Bison whistle he got to call Appa in a pinch. However, despite Aang blowing on it Appa didn't show making them think Aang got scammed.

As they were walking back to the oasis a man with long black hair and faded mustache, in a yellow vest, brown pants, and sandals came up to them. He appeared to be a traveling merchant due to his attire he then spoke saying "You four! I can see from your clothing your all world traveling types. Perhaps I could interest you in some exotic curios"

Aang being naturally curious said "Sure, but what are curios?"

the man actually looked puzzled as he said "You know what, I don't know, but we got'em" he then led Aang by the shoulders to a large ship with red sails. The others followed after him despite having no say in the matter.

The Gaang entered the ship and were greeted by a collection of valuable artifacts from all over the world. There were statues, necklaces, rings, paintings, and even scrolls of knowledge.

Katara was browsing some books and other reading material when something caught her eye. She saw a scroll that appeared to have Water Tribe markings on it and quickly grabbed it. She then opened it her eyes widening at what she saw, she quickly called Aang over saying "Look at this, Aang."

Aang walked over and looked over her shoulder as she said "It's a Water-bending scroll." She looked at it closer saying "Check out these crazy moves."

An old man approached them who appeared to be the captain of the ship. He had long grey hair with two braids going over his shoulders, he wore a black captain's hat, on his shoulder was a parrot-lizard, he wore black armor over his shoulders and chest, under the armor he wore a grey robe that split at his thighs with puffy sleeves, he carried a Jian sword at his side, he wore grey puffy pants, and on his feet, he wore black leather boots."

Aang looked at the man and asked "How did you get an authentic Water-bending scroll?"

The man quickly snatched the scroll from Katara's hands and began to roll it up while saying "I got it from a Tribe up North and for bargain price...free." he then placed the scroll back where it first was as he went to sit behind a desk at the back of the room.

Sokka after looking around started piecing things together as he said "Wait a minute. Sea-loving traders with suspiciously acquired merchandise and pet reptile birds?" he then pointed at the man who led them there screaming "You guys are Pirates!"

The man just got in Sokka's face saying "We prefer to think of ourselves as high-risk traders."

Katara looked at the scroll asking "So, how much for the 'traded' scroll?"

The Captain laughed saying "It's not for sale, I already have someone willing to pay top price for it in the Earth Kingdom." he then smirked saying "Unless you four got 200 gold pieces on you right now."

Aang walked up to Dijin whispering "Hey, Dijin, let me borrow a couple silver pieces. I bet I can negotiate a better price for the scroll, I was actually really good at haggling 100 years ago."

Dijin looked at Aang unsure but shrugged his shoulders and handed him two silver pieces anyway.

Aang then approached the captain talking in a horrible Pirate accent as he said "What say ye to the price of..." he then held one of the silver pieces between his fingers as he said "One silver piece?"

Dijin face-palmed himself as the Captain stared at Aang before laughing hysterically his crew member following suit. When they calmed down the Captain said "The price is 200 gold pieces, not a penny less you got it? Now are we going to do business or what?"

Aang just smiled saying "Okay... how about two silver pieces" he then held two silver pieces between his fingers.

The captain frowned saying "That's not as funny the second time brat. Now either you four buy something or get off my ship." he then grabbed his sword threateningly.

Katara just glared at the man before grabbing Aang and saying "Don't worry we were just leaving."

The Gaang then left the ship and started to head back to their campsite as Katara spoke up saying "Well, I'll feel a lot better once we get away from here."

As they walked away the man who led them to the ship shouted "Hey, you! Get back here!"

Aang thinking they wanted to haggle after all said "Well, look who came crawling back."

The man followed by the ship's crew which was about eight men, jumped onto the dock drawing weapons on the Gaang.

Katara stepped back saying nervously "I don't think these Pirates are here to trade with us."

Dijin then threw his hands forward and stomped his right foot forward creating an Earth-wave temporarily burying the Pirates as he shouted "Run!"

The Gaang then took off running the Pirates pulling themselves out of the dirt shouting "Get back here!"

The Gaang rounded a corner the Pirates following suit as Aang began to twirl his staff to Air-bend debris to slow down the Pirates while Dijin Earth-bent parts of the road to trip them.

As they rounded another corner Katara quickly Water-bent some water onto the ground and turned it into ice making one of the Pirates slip.

The Gaang kept running forward and even ran into a familiar Cabbage cart from Omashu. Katara and Sokka ran by the cart surprising the owner, the owner then widened his eyes in fear as Aang used Air-bending to dive through the tiny window of the cart. The owner breathed a sigh of relief until he saw Dijin coming towards his cart but he Earth-bent himself underground and appeared on the other side of the cart. The owner was about to sigh in relief again, until Dijin crossed his arms creating an Earth-wall blocking the Pirates and launching the cabbage cart in the air destroying it.

As Dijin continued running the owner fell to his knees screaming to the sky "MY CABBAGES!"

The Gaang kept running forward until a group of four Pirates came from an alleyway. They quickly backpedaled with the Pirates giving chase.

As they rounded another corner Dijin was done being chased and quickly turned around facing the incoming Pirates while the others went around the corner.

One of the Pirates seeing him shouted "So, you're gonna be the first to die, eh?"

Dijin just held his left forearm up before stomping his right leg and thrusting his forearm to the side. At the same time a lava ring was created around the incoming pirates burning one of their boots off.

The Pirates were forced to hug the wall with one screaming "What the hell is this! I've never seen bending like this before!"

Dijin then half curled his hands Bending an Earth-ring around them trapping them to the wall as he said "Sorry to run but I don't deal with Pirates."

Dijin then heard Sokka yell from above him "Dijin come on, let's go!" he looked up and saw Sokka and Katara flying with Aang on his glider.

Dijin paled slightly watching them before shouting "You guys can fly. I'll take the scenic route behind you!" he then started to stomp his feet Earth-bending two waves of earth under them. He then began to move his feet up and down, surfing on the waves of Earth as he followed the other three back to their campsite.

The Pirates looked at one another and then at their predicament as one said "So who's gonna tell the captain?"

They all then looked to the guy who brought those four punks to the ship in the first place.

The guy in question saw their looks as he grumbled out "Oh, Balls."

Once the Gaang was safely back at camp Aang was putting his glider away while saying "I used to kind of look up to Pirates, but those guys were terrible."

Dijin who was putting their new supplies away asked "Aang? have you ever really met a good Pirate?"

Aang held a finger up and opened his mouth to reply but then stopped realizing he actually didn't have a reference.

Dijin nodded his head saying "That's what I thought."

Katara then said "I know, those Pirates were complete jerks." She then looked like a Viper-cat that ate the canary-goose as she said "That's why I took this." she then held up the Water-bending scroll that the Pirates had "traded" while the others looked at her shocked.

Dijin then smirked saying "You little sneak, I didn't even see you grab it."

Sokka yelled at Dijin saying "Don't encourage this behavior! No wonder those Pirates were trying to hack us. You stole their Water-bending scroll!"

Katara crossed her arms and closed her eyes while smugly saying "I prefer to think of it as high-risk trading."

Aang laughed at Katara's pun saying "Good one, Katara."

Katara then looked at her brother saying "Sokka where do you think they got it? They stole it from a Water-bender."

Sokka frustrated said "It doesn't matter. You put all of our lives in danger just so you could learn some stupid fancy splashes."

Dijin taking offence to Sokka's attitude shouted while standing up "Hey! Watch your mouth Sokka I won't have you disrespecting Katara's art just because your mad."

Sokka furious walked up to him shouting "She risked our lives, just so she could Splash around better when so much is on the line!"

Dijin mad at Sokka's disrespectful attitude towards bending just kicked his heel Earth-bending a pillar under Sokka and launching him in the water making a huge splash. He then shouted "How's that for splashing better, Sokka!"

Katara smiled grateful for Dijin's defense before she hardened her gaze and talked to her brother who was grumbling to himself and cursing while getting out of the water.

Katara spoke to him saying "These are real Water-bending forms. You know how crucial it is for Aang to learn Water-bending."

Sokka fed up with the argument and now soaking wet just said "Whatever, just do you want."

He then went to find some firewood so he could dry-off as Dijin went back to packing and sorting their supplies.

Aang looked at Katara saying "Well, what's done is done. We might as well learn from it.

Back on the Pirates ship, the Captain was waiting for his men to return with the stolen scroll as he tended to two new customers on the ship.

The two customers in question happened to be Prince Zuko and his Uncle Iroh. Iroh was looking at a jeweled statue of a monkey spirit while saying "Oh, this is handsome! Wouldn't this look magnificent in the galley?" he then picked up the statue to inspect it while his nephew frowned and turned his head.

However, in doing so he overheard a conversation between the Captain and a crew member who just walked in. "I'm sorry captain but we lost the Water Tribe girl and the bald kid she was with."

The captain looked ready to kill the man before he quickly said "It wasn't our fault sir! They had an Earth-bender with them and..."

The man looked unsure of what to say next as the captain shouted "Out with it, Or I'll cut out your tongue!"

The man quickly answered saying "You might not believe it sir but the Earth-bender was able to bend Lava out of the ground and trapped us."

Zuko hearing about the bald kid and now the Lava-bender knew who they were talking about and walked forward.

Iroh also hearing about the Lava-bender thought to himself "So, Bumi finally sent him out to fulfill his destiny. His skills seem to have grown a great deed as well. I think it might be best if I help my nephew on this matter."

Iroh then went to approach Zuko as his nephew said "This bald kid, did he have an Arrow on his head?" Zuko then put down a wanted poster of Aang.

The crew member looked at him weird before saying "Yeah."

Zuko then asked "And this Earth-bender, was he wearing a robe with a missing sleeve?"

The captain then stood up and spoke saying "Hey, wait a minute do you know those four punks?"

Iroh then spoke from behind Zuko his hands in his sleeves as he said "It appears we are searching for the same individuals. Prince Zuko I propose a partnership with these..." Iroh paused briefly to look at the men before saying "'Fine Gentlemen'."

Zuko smirked before saying "Tell me Captain, have you ever worked with Fire-benders before?"

The captain smirked as well while holding a knife menacingly and saying "As a matter of fact..." he then threw the knife onto the desk impaling the picture of Aang saying "I have."

At the Gaang's campsite Dijin had finished putting their supplies away and he was currently making a stew for him and the Water Tribe siblings, he already made a vegetarian stew for Aang which he ate quickly.

Speaking of Aang he was currently standing next to Katara as she looked at the scroll that was laid out on a stump in front of her. She studied it for second before saying "I just want to try this one move first, and then it's all yours." She then placed the scroll in Aang's hands saying "Here, hold it open for me." She then looked at the move she wanted to do saying "The single Water-whip. Looks doable." Katara then faced the water bending her knees wide while holding one arm back and having the other one posed more forward. She then waved her hands and bent her wrists bending a jagged stream of water before flicking her wrists quickly trying to whip the water but only succeeded in hitting herself in the forehead.

Sokka, who was sitting on rock, let out a laugh at his sister's failed attempt while she glared at him saying "What's so funny?"

Sokka leaned on his knee saying "I'm sorry, but you deserved that." He then looked at Aang saying "You've been duped. She is gonna hog the scroll to herself until she learns whatever she wants from it."

Katara angry at her brother's accusation yelled indigently "Aang will get his turn once I figure out the Water-whip." She then bent the water again this time accidently whipping Momo on the behind instead of herself.

Momo ran away and scurried to hide in Dijin's robe while he shouted "Hey, get out of there Momo! I ain't your security blanket!"

Dijin then tried getting Momo out of his shirt while Katara growled frustrated saying "Ugh! Why can't I get this stupid move?!"

Aang smiled at Katara before placing the scroll down and walking over to try and help. He then walked to the water saying "You'll get it." not knowing Katara was glaring at him.

Aang then mimicked her stance and Water-bent a smooth stream of water and began to do the Water-whip while saying "You've just gotta shift your weight through the stances." He then performed the move flawlessly as he said "There, you see?" Aang thinking he was being helpful not condescending didn't notice Katara walk up to him and get in his face till it was too late.

Katara angry at Aang's skill and condescending tone yelled at him shouting "Will you please shut your air-hole! Believe it or not, your infinite wisdom isn't always needed and to be honest it gets a little old sometimes! How about this, why don't we throw the scroll away cause you're such a natural Water-bender! Why don't I call you master instead huh?!"

Sokka then let out a cough making Katara look at Sokka and Dijin screaming "What?!"

They both just looked at her in shame and disappointment as she then looked at Aang and her eyes widened at what she saw.

Aang was looking at her with tears in his eyes and a trembling lip with a look on his face that screamed 'why?'

Katara then held a hand to her mouth realizing the harshness of her words and she started saying "Aang, I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me. I swear I didn't mean a word I just said." She then rolled up the scroll and handed it to Aang saying "Here Aang, I don't want anything to do with this anymore."

Aang just wiped his eyes and took the scroll saying "It's alright Katara, I understand."

Sokka chose then to speak saying "What about Momo, he's a victim too."

Katara then went to get Momo who had his head sticking out the back of Dijin's robe while Dijin just sat there cooking having given up on getting Momo out of his clothes.

Katara grabbed Momo and starting petting his belly saying "I'm sorry Momo."

Momo purred at the treatment while Sokka spoke up again saying "And what about me? I-"

He was cut off by Katara who yelled "No more apologizing!"

Dijin then said "Dinner's ready!"

Katara sighed as she and the other two sat down for dinner while Aang continued to practice.

xxLine Breakxx

That night while everyone was sleeping Katara looked around to see if everyone was still alseep. Aang was snoring on one of Appa's six legs, Sokka was sleeping in his sleeping bag across from her, and Dijin was in an Earth-tent he made earlier.

Seeing the coast was clear she went and searched Aang's stuff until she found the Water-bending scroll and snuck off to go practice.

Dijin woke up early the next morning the sun just rising. He unbent his tent as he did a few morning stretches, and while he stretched he quickly noticed Katara's sleeping bag was empty.

He then quickly bent a small rock and threw it at Sokka's head waking him up as he screamed "Owww! What the hell Dijin!"

Dijin just pointed at the empty sleeping bag saying "Your sister's gone."

Sokka surprised said "She didn't." he then started to search camp and yelled in frustration "She took it, she took the scroll!"

Aang sat up from Appa's leg saying groggily "What's going on?"

Suddenly out of nowhere two Pirates jumped from the tree's above Dijin while holding a Metal Coffin. Dijin unable to react in time was quickly captured inside the Metal prison. He banged uselessly against the Metal as Aang shouted "Dijin!"

Aang then looked at Appa saying "Get out of here boy!"

Appa quickly took off to the sky as Sokka went to attack the Pirates with his club to try and free Dijin but two more came out of the forest and caught him in a net.

Aang seeing his friends in trouble tried to twirl his staff to Air-bend the Pirates away from Sokka and Dijin but three more Pirates came out plus a group of Fire-benders. The Fire-benders then punched their arms sideways creating a ring of fire.

Aang realizing he was outmatched dropped his staff and stood down, the Fire-benders instantly cuffing him.

The Pirates then started going through their things for anything of value until one of them found Dijin's money pouch and said "Look at what we have here, a down payment for the scroll you punks stole." he then put Dijin's money in his shirt as the Pirates and soldiers then started to drag Sokka, Aang, and Dijin to their meeting spot.

The Pirates pushed Dijin's prison over roughly and started dragging him over as many bumps as possible. Dijin himself just shouted "You better hope I don't get out of here or your all gonna be on the receiving end of an active volcano!"

They all just laughed at Dijin's threat while continuing their trek.

xxLine Breakxx

At the oasis Prince Zuko was standing across from the Pirates who had Aang, Sokka, and Dijin.

Katara seeing her friends captured as well said "Aang, guy's I'm so sorry, this is all my fault."

Aang tried to make her feel better saying "Don't worry Katara it's not your fault."

Iroh being the wise man that he was didn't sugar coat the situation and said "Actually, it kinda is her fault."

Zuko then walked up to the metal cage saying "Nice work."

Dijin then slammed himself against the cage screaming "You bunch of cowards! Too afraid to fight an Earth-bender fairly?"

Zuko smirked as he then spoke to Dijin saying "Oh? But you're not a normal Earth-bender, are you? No, You're a unique bender all together. I saw what you could do first hand at the Fire Temple, but seeing you in this cage makes me wonder why... why haven't you tried once to use that unique bending of yours. This makes me conclude one thing... your weak to metal just like any other Earth-bender."

Dijin just slammed himself against the cage again saying "Let me out of this cage and I'll show you who's weak."

Zuko smiled saying "Sorry, but I need the Avatar and you're in my way."

Dijin shouted "Are you stupid! Your still after Aang even after everything that's happened to you!"

Zuko eye's widened at his words as he screamed "How do you know of my mission!"

Dijin realizing his slip up quickly said "Aang told me when I first met him, who wouldn't warn somebody of a crazy guy with a scar and a pointless vendetta."

Zuko frowned but accepted the answer while Iroh let out a silent breath of relief.

Zuko just stared at the cage and said "The Avatar will restore my honor and I'll be able to return home with pride."

Dijin spoke next saying wisely "Honor and pride are every man's downfall but peace in one's self is every man's salvation."

Zuko hearing the wise words said "You sound like my Uncle."

Dijin simply said "Two great minds think alike I guess."

Zuko frowned saying "This conversation is over." Zuko then looked at the Captain saying "Give me the boy."

The Captain held onto Aang tightly saying "Give us the Scroll! Our buyer is waiting!"

Sokka then had an Idea as he started to say "You're really gonna hand over the Avatar for a piece of paper? Think about it, The Avatar the most wanted person on the planet, think of all the ransoms and the blackmails you guys could do. All the money you could ever want."

Katara not understanding her brother's plan said angrily "Shut up Sokka!"

Aang even said through grit teeth "Yeah Sokka, Shut up."

The Captain then smirked saying to Zuko "Keep the scroll, we can get ten times as much for the Avatar in the Fire Nation."

Zuko growled saying "You don't want to double-cross me!"

The captain drew his sword saying "Kill the exiled prince and any who get in our way!"

The Fire-benders and Pirates began to fight, Fire, blades, and even bombs were thrown at each other while Sokka and Aang took advantage of the confusion to free themselves, Katara, and grab the scroll.

Aang then quickly shouted "Wait! Where's Dijin?"

Iroh also took advantage of the confusion and picked up a handful of rocks. Then with the skill of a master he accurately threw them into the small opening of Dijin's cage while also hitting a pirate keeping his cover. Iroh then approached the cage with his old student inside saying quietly "Do what you have to do but leave Zuko out of it."

Dijin just said darkly "Then get him away from here. A volcano is about to erupt."

Iroh nodded his head before running into the fight and quickly grabbing Zuko then dragged him to their ship.

Dijin looked at the rocks at his feet and shouted so Aang and the others could hear. "Aang get Appa and get the other's out of here! I'll be fine!"

Katara shouted over the fighting saying "We're not leaving you!"

Dijin frustrated yelled "You remember the Fire Temple! Well, that's about to happen right here and now!"

Katara getting what he meant yelled at the others "Let's do as he says. He's about to go all out!"

Aang nodded his head and tried blowing his bison whistle then took off running with Katara behind him followed by Sokka.

The Captain was fighting a Fire-bender until he suddenly somehow smelled metal burning. The others stopped fighting as well and turned towards the steel cage that was now glowing red with heat.

Suddenly slash marks were made across the steel prison until it came crumbling apart revealing Dijin bending a buzzsaw of Lava.

One dumb pirate screamed "He's loose!"

Dijin quickly threw the buzzsaw at him killing him instantly. He then placed his arms in front of himself as he said ominously "I told you when I got out, you were gonna be on the receiving end of a Volcano." he then raised his forearms up making the ground in front of the Fire-benders and Pirates erupt in magma that went 20 feet high.

Those who weren't caught in the initial blast tried to run but Dijin just put his palms together and pushed them outwards turning the ground under the fleeing men into magma, while also sending the lava after the others in huge waves. One by one the Pirates and Fire-benders were caught in the magma and melted into goo from the extreme heat. When it was all done the once beautiful oasis was now a giant pool of magma and the surrounding forest was destroyed.

Dijin seeing Appa in the distance guessed Aang's bison whistle wasn't a rip-off after all. So, he just walked through the magma bending it away from his feet as he made his way over to the Sky Bison.

As the other's flew to Dijin's location they witnessed the destruction he caused and were both awed and terrified of his abilities.

When they arrived, they let him on Appa and as they flew Aang looked back at Dijin asking "Dijin, why did you go so far to stop those Pirates?"

Dijin just looked away his past flashing briefly before his eyes before he said "No one puts me in a cage."

Katara moved to place her hand on his arm reassuringly as the others looked away not bothering to bring up the issue any further.

Zuko's ship: moments earlier

Zuko screamed at his uncle saying "What are doing Uncle! The Avatar is right there!" Zuko tried to get his uncle to let go but for some reason his uncle's grip was like steel and he was suddenly being dragged around like a child again.

Iroh then shouted at his nephew "Today is lost! We shall fall back to fight another day." they quickly boarded their boat and Iroh ordered the men to start the engines as he let Zuko go.

Zuko angry at his uncle Yelled "Why did you take me away uncle! The Avatar was in my gr-"

He was cut-off because suddenly he saw a giant volcanic eruption happen on the shore where he once was. He witnessed the Pirates and his men get instantly vaporized by the hot magma and watched as the entire forest and shoreline became engulfed in fire and molten rock.

Iroh approached his nephew and said in a somber tone "That is why I dragged you away. You are not yet strong enough to fight such a powerful enemy."

Zuko looked back at the shore and his eyes widened in fear.

Dijin was walking through the lava without being harmed at all but that's not what frightened Zuko. What had Zuko so afraid was that the fire and hot rock exploding behind the Lava-bender made Dijin look like the same man who gave Zuko his scar.

Iroh watch his nephew's inner turmoil and looked at his former student's destruction and thought "You truly have grown powerful Dijin. I just hope that it is used for the right reasons."

Iroh and Zuko continued to sail away trying to come up with a new plan to catch the Avatar and figure out a way to stop the Lava-bender.
