A/N Disclaimer: I do not own Avatar: The Last Air-Bender and it's associated properties.

After dealing with the Pirates the Gaang was currently camped out in another forest on their way to the North Pole. Dijin and Sokka were trying to get a fire going while Katara was setting up places for them to sleep.

Aang looked around and suddenly asked "Hey, where's Momo?"

They all looked around and low and behold the lemur-bat was nowhere to be found.

They all got up and started searching, all of them screaming "Momo!"

After a few minutes of searching, they found poor Momo trapped in a round metal cage along with two hog-monkeys.

Aang started to Air-bend up to Momo saying "Hang on, I'm coming buddy!"

Once he was high enough Aang used an Air-blade to cut the rope of the cage making it release Momo.

Aang landed on the ground with Momo landing on Katara's shoulder. The Hog-monkey's howled pleadingly for Aang to rescue them too as he sighed saying "Ok, I'll get you guys too."

Sokka seeing it was going take a minute said aggravatedly "We don't have time for this." He then threw his boomerang cutting the ropes of the cages releasing the Hog-monkey's.

Aang waved good-bye at them saying "Your welcome!"

Sokka leaned down to inspect the cages and spoke up saying "These are Fire Nation traps; I recognize the metal-work." he then looked at everyone seriously and said "We better break camp and move on." They all nodded in agreement and went back to pack their things.

Once they had finished packing Katara and Aang were about to put their stuff on Appa's saddle until Sokka stopped them saying "Nope, No flying this time."

Dijin pumped his fist saying "Finally! We get to be on solid ground for more than a few hours!"

Sokka rolled his eyes at Dijin before Aang said "Why can't we take Appa?"

Sokka looked at Aang saying "Think about it. Somehow prince Zuko and the Fire Nation keep finding us. It's because they spot Appa, he's just too noticeable."

Katara trying to defend the large bison said "What? Appa's not too noticeable."

Sokka pointed at Appa's forehead screaming "He's a giant, six-limbed, flying bison with an arrow on his head. I think that's pretty noticeable."

Dijin spoke next saying "I hate to admit it but Sokka's got a point."

Sokka let out an indigent "Hey!" before he then looked at Aang saying "Look, I know you guys wanna fly but my instincts are telling me we should play it safe and walk."

Katara leaned in close to her brother with her hands on her hips saying "Who made you the boss?"

Sokka leaned back a little saying "I'm not the boss i'm the leader."

Katara just laughed at him saying sarcastically "You're the leader? Your voice still cracks. If anyone's the leader it's Aang or even Dijin who has led actual soldiers into battle."

Sokka replied with his voice cracking and saying "I'm older than you and Aang, and I'm a warrior." he then purposely lowered his voice saying "So, I'm the leader."

Katara just looked away and crossed her arms saying "Boys, why do they always think someone needs to be the leader." She smirked at her brother saying "I bet you would mellow out if you kissed a girl."

Sokka looked indigent as he said "I've kissed a girl!"

Katara smirked at him knowingly saying teasingly "Who? Gran-Gran? Then I guess I've kissed a girl too."

Sokka just blushed a deep red before saying "Shut up! It's not like you've kissed a boy!"

It was Katara's turn to blush as she shouted "That's none of your business Sokka!"

The siblings were about to fight until Aang smiled and intervened saying "Calm down guys. Look let's just go with Sokka's plan who knows walking might be fun for a change?"

the siblings just turned away from one another before grabbing their things and marching off. Aang and Dijin looked at each other before shrugging their shoulders while putting on their travel packs and followed after the siblings.

About ten minutes later Aang screamed at the top of lungs "This Sucks! Walking is horrible. How do you people get around without a flying bison all the time?"

The trio had twitching eyebrow's at Aang's complaining until Katara smirked thinking of a way to mess with her brother. She leaned close to Aang saying "I don't know Aang why don't you ask Sokka's instincts? They seem to know everything."

Sokka hearing his sister said "Ha Ha, Very funny."

Aang still tired of walking complained some more saying "I'm tired of carrying this pack. It's so heavy."

Katara still trying to mess with her brother said "You know who you should ask to carry it for you? Sokka's instincts."

Aang getting the joke said "Oh yeah, good idea Katara." he leaned towards Sokka saying "Hey, Sokka's instincts can you-"

He was cut off by Sokka who yelled "Ok, Ok, I get it! Look Aang I'm tired, too. But look on the Brightside." he then went to walk through some bushes the other's following him as he said "At least there's no Fire Nati-" the words died in his throat due to the fact the Gaang had walked right into a Fire Nation camp with at least 30 soldiers present.

Sokka paused for second before shouting "Run!" they then dropped their packs and began to run away but the Fire-benders punched their arms forward bending a few streams of fire and blocked their exit.

Sokka yelled at the flames saying "We're cut off!"

Aang saw that the Fire had gotten Sokka's shirt as he shouted "Sokka! You're on fire!"

Sokka looked at his arm screaming as Katara used her waterskin to Water-bend and put it out.

Once the fire was out Sokka grabbed his club saying "Stay back and we won't hurt you."

One of the soldiers stepped forward saying sarcastically "You won't hurt us? And how exactly would you do that?"

Katara angry at her brother said "What are you doing?!"

Sokka just answered with "Bluffing."

However, before either side could make a move the soldier who just spoke fell forward dead, an arrow in the back of his neck.

Suddenly a young man came jumping out the trees wielding dual hook swords as he used the hooks of his blades to trip two soldiers as he turned around in a crouch saying "Down you go."

Then a small group of kids ranging from 14 to 18 came out of the forest attacking the soldiers. One of the young fighters appeared to be an archer taking out soldiers from multiple angles. There was even a large and tall youth with a log for a weapon smashing soldiers heads in.

The Gaang seeing they had back-up started to act, Dijin saw a girl wielding knives with war paint on her face and a pixie cut about to be burned from behind. So Dijin ran forward dropping to his knees and sliding across the ground and at the same time he dug his arms into the ground forming rock-gauntlets. He then stood up and punched the soldier that was going to attack the girl in the face. Dijin felt the man's bone's and cartilage break under his hit as he was flown into a tree.

The girl looked at Dijin with wide eyes before he grabbed her and pushed her behind him as he crossed his arms forming a rock-wall and blocking a fire-blast. He then kicked the wall sending it at the offending soldiers who couldn't get out of the way as the rock shattered against them breaking most of the bones in their bodies.

Dijin was about to relax until the girl pushed his upper body forward and rolled across his back. She then thrusted her arms up redirecting a Fire-benders attack before grabbing two knives from her thighs and stabbed the soldier in his liver and kidney. The soldier gurgled on his own blood before falling over dead two of his major organs ruptured.

Dijin looked around and saw that the combination of his group and the young fighters' skills were able to beat the Fire Nation troops rather quickly. He looked at the girl he saved and in turn the girl that saved him so he asked "Are you ok?"

The girl just stared up at him with a blush as she quickly looked away saying "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for the help." She then quickly ran off to help her comrades collect the spoils of the fight.

A few minutes later The Fire Nation soldiers were taken care of and now the group of fighters plus the Gaang were gathered around the campsite looting it. One of the kid's even shouted out "Hey we got some Blasting jelly over here! could be really useful."

Suddenly the young man with the Hook swords came up to them and the Gaang got a good look at him. He had short spiky black hair with his bangs covering his forehead, he had brown skin, he had brown eyes, he had a wheat stalk in his mouth, he wore stitched together leather armor with metal shoulder pads, he had black leather wrist guards that went to his elbow, and he wore simple brown pants and brown leather boots.

Aang looked excited as he said "You just took out a small army single handedly."

Sokka looking indigent saying "Army? Come on it was like 30 guys and he had help."

They just ignored Sokka as the young man said "My name is Jet, and these are my freedom fighters." he then pointed behind himself showing all the kids cleaning up the camp-site.

He then introduced them all saying "that's sneers." he pointed at a big kid eating the Fire-benders food wearing plate-armor.

He then pointed a young man in a rice hat, red cloak, a blue shirt and pants, and a bow saying "that's Long-shot."

He then pointed at the girl Dijin saved. She wore a metal chest plate over a form fitting skin suit with grey gloves and boots. She currently had a knife in her mouth and was holding a multitude of blades as Jet said her name saying "Smellerbee."

He then pointed at short kid with a spear and a helmet way too big for him standing next to the huge youth with a log for weapon saying "The Duke and Pipsqueak."

Aang laughed and walked up to the two saying "Pipsqueak that's funny." he then pointed at the short kid thinking it was his name.

Suddenly though the big guy next to him said a little angry "You think my name is funny?"

Aang without fear said "It's hilarious!"

The big guy glared for second before laughing loudly and patting Aang on the back which made him hit the dirt face first.

After a brief talk Jet invited them to come to their hideout so Dijin was now standing by an empty tent with his arms crossed waiting for his friends to be ready to leave.

Suddenly Smellerbee walked up to him and said "Um, thanks again for saving me earlier that bender caught me off guard."

Dijin just uncrossed his arms saying "No problem, I did what anyone would have done."

Smellerbee looked away with a smile before looking back at him saying "So, you're an Earth-bender I gotta admit it, that was pretty impressive back there."

Dijin shrugged his shoulders saying "That was actually easy stuff for me but your blade work is nothing to sneeze at."

Smellerbee brightened up at that saying "Really? I thought I was just above average."

Dijin replied smoothly "You have a solid stance, your grip is tight but loose for maneuverability, and you know the weak points on the body. I know soldiers who know less than you."

Smellerbee just smiled with a blush Before she noticed everyone was leaving so she quickly grabbed his wrist and pulled him along.

Dijin instantly confused said "Wait, if we're going somewhere I should at least get my friends first."

She just ignored him saying "Jet and them are already ahead of us, look."

Dijin looked ahead and sure enough his friends were walking in front of him.

Sokka was glaring daggers at the back of Jet's head, Katara was looking at Jet dreamily which Dijin raised an eyebrow at, and Aang was just joking with Pipsqueak.

Dijin seeing his friends had no problem with the situation shrugged his shoulders and let the girl lead him on.

About 15 minutes later the group came to a clearing of trees that were closely grown together. Jet made a bird call sound and next thing they knew a rope with a foot-hold came down. Jet grabbed the rope and handed to Sokka saying "Here, hold this."

Sokka skeptical took the rope saying "Why should Iahhhhhhhhhh." his words turned into a scream as he was yanked upwards at a fast pace.

Dijin saw this and paled while stepping back slightly then said nervously "Um, I don't know about this, you see I have this thing with-"

Smellerbee ignored him grabbing his waist and yanking on the rope

"Heiiiiiiiiiiiiiights!" Dijin yelled in terror as he held onto Smellerbee for dear life while they were yanked upwards at a fast pace as well.

Once they made it to the top Dijin was still clinging to Smellerbee with his eyes squint shut.

Smellerbee However, was just blushing up a storm with a huge smile on her face. First she gets saved by a hunky Earth-bender, next said Hunky Earth-bender complimented her fighting skills, and now the same hunky Earth-bender is hugging her body close to him as they stood on a wooden platform."

Dijin peeked his eye open and saw they were on a wooden floor, he then opened his eyes fully and saw he was standing on a tree-house surrounded by a network of tree-houses. He quickly let go of Smellerbee with an awkward blush much to her disappointment.

Dijin embarrassed said "I'm sorry about that. I have this thing with heights so if I made you uncomfortable, I apologize."

He then bowed his head as she just had a sweat drop on her head thinking "This strong guy is scared of heights?" She then waved her hands dismissively saying "No your fine, everyone gets scared sometimes."

He just coughed into his hand awkwardly before saying "Well, I'm gonna go see how the others are doing. I'll see you around Smellerbee." he then walked away trying not to look down at the ground below as she waved goodbye with a smile.

That Night Dijin and the rest of the Gaang was listening to Jet tell a story about the Duke while eating dinner. Once Jet finished his story, he spoke saying "Now, the Fire Nation thinks they don't have to worry about some kids hiding in the trees. Maybe they're right." The kids booed at Jets words until he held his hand up silencing them and shouting "Or maybe they're dead wrong!" he then threw a cup he had in his hand before shouting "We'll show the Fire Nation that we're not to be taken lightly and soon they'll know just how dangerous we can be!"

The kid's cheered and as they cheered Dijin had a frown on his face as he listened to Jet talk to these children like a war-monger.

Katara not understanding the implications of what Jet was doing said "Nice speech, Jet."

Jet sat next to her saying "Thanks, by the way." he then looked at Katara, Aang, and Dijin saying "I was really impressed with you three out there that was some great bending I saw today."

Katara modestly said "I'm average, Aang's the great one. He's the Avatar after all."

Dijin suddenly shouted saying "Katara!"

Katara glared at Dijin slightly saying "What?!"

Dijin glared back saying "I understand you like him Katara, but we only just met him today. You can't just tell him Aang's identity like that!"

Katara blushed at what Dijin said and yelled "I don't like him! I just think he's a good leader and an ally!"

Jet seeing this was getting out of hand said "It's fine Katara, and Dijin's right, for all you guys know I could be a Fire Nation spy."

He then waved his fingers spookily as Smellerbee spoke up from next to Dijin saying "Don't joke like that Jet."

Jet placed his hands on his lap saying "Sorry, sorry." he then spoke again saying "So, Aang you're the Avatar huh? Very nice."

Aang smiled at the compliment saying "Thanks, Jet."

Jet then looked at the three benders and said to Katara "So I might know a way you, Aang, and Dijin could help in our struggle."

Dijin was about to decline until Sokka spoke up saying "Unfortunately, we have to leave tonight."

Sokka was getting up to leave until Jet stopped him saying "But Sokka, are you kidding? I needed you on an important mission tomorrow."

Sokka gained a raised eyebrow as he sat back down saying "What mission?"

Dijin sighed at how easily Sokka was swayed until Smellerbee got close to him holding some food out to feed him while she said "Say ah."

Even though he was a little uncomfortable Dijin didn't want to be rude to the girl who saved him earlier so he accepted the offered food as Jet told Sokka his mission.

The next day Sokka had come storming back into the Freedom Fighters camp very pissed off after his mission with Jet. Aang, Dijin, and Katara approached him with Katara asking "Hey, Sokka. Is Jet back?"

Sokka still angry snapped out "Yeah, he's back but we're leaving."

Katara and Aang both said "What?!"

Katara then pulled out a rainbow-colored, small, stitched together hat. She then said sadly "But I made him this hat."

Sokka just frowned saying "Your boyfriend Jet's a thug."

Dijin curious asked "What do mean Sokka?"

Sokka then threw his arms out saying "He attacked a harmless old man who was just minding his own business."

Dijin frowned at that but asked "Can you tell me anything else?"

Sokka looked away for a second before saying "Well, actually. The old man, he was Fire Nation."

Katara then said "Aha. See I knew Jet-"

She was cut-off by Dijin who said "That doesn't excuse him for attacking an old man Katara. No matter what Nation you're from Women, Children, and the elderly have no place in War and should never be brought into it." Dijin narrowed his eyes and started walking to Jets tree house saying "Come on. We're going to talk with Jet."

Sokka immediately followed him while Katara and Aang looked at each other before following too.

Dijin marched into Jets house the others behind him as he said "What's this about you attacking an old man, and don't give me bullshit about him being Fire Nation, Sokka told me already and that doesn't matter."

Jet's eyes widened at that statement before he just smirked saying "Did Sokka also tell you about this?" he threw a knife at the floor embedding it by Dijin's feet as he said "The old man was an assassin coming to kill me. Sokka saved my life out there."

Sokka yelled from behind Dijin saying "I saw no knife!"

Katara just sighed in relief saying "I knew there was a good reason. You probably just didn't see the knife, Sokka."

Jet then pulled a little ring that was on the hilt of the blade saying "Check the handle of the knife, there's a compartment for poison."

They all looked and sure enough in Jet's hand was a small vial of poison as Katara and Aang seemed to believe what Jet said and were relieved that Jet was a good person after all.

Sokka and Dijin however, were even more suspicious of Jet now as Sokka began to walk out saying "You guys can believe what you want but I'm packing our things and getting us out of here."

Dijin followed him saying "Me too." he then left to grab his things as well.

About ten minutes later Katara and Aang were talking to Dijin's and Sokka's backs as they packed with Katara saying "We can't leave now guy's! The Fire Nation is gonna burn down the forest."

Dijin just asked "And how are we supposed to stop them? Does Jet have a master plan?"

Aang stepped forward saying "Actually, he does. He needs Katara and me to fill the reservoir with water to help fight the fire while he needs you to use your Earth-bending to make the reservoir deeper so more water can fill it."

Dijin scoffed not liking the sound of that but before he could say anything Katara shouted at him saying "Come on Dijin! You saw what the Fire Nation did to the forest with that spirit and now they're gonna do it again! How can you just stand by and let them do as they want!"

Dijin gritted his teeth before taking a breath and looked at Katara with a hard gaze then said "Fine. I'll help, but after this we're getting the hell out of here."

Sokka nodded his head saying "I'm with Dijin on this one."

Katara just sighed in relief saying "Thank you guy's I'll make it up to you, I promise." She and then Aang left but as soon as they were gone Dijin and Sokka's gazes hardened.

Dijin looked at Sokka saying "Jet's up to something and not only that but he's trying to turn these kids into soldiers. I don't like this"

Sokka nodded his head saying "I don't like this either but don't worry I got a plan."

Dijin raised an eyebrow and asked "You need back-up?"

Sokka shook his head and said "I got this one, just help Aang and Katara."

Dijin Replied with "Got it."

Sokka then got up and headed out to get things ready and Dijin prepared for the next day.

It was late the next morning when Jet came to grab Katara, Aang, and Dijin for his plan. As they left camp and walked to the reservoir Dijin was getting worried about Sokka. He had left late last night but hadn't returned and Dijin hadn't had a chance to look for him.

Once they were close to their destination Katara spoke up saying "Jet, I'm sorry about how Sokka's been acting."

Jet just smirked saying "No worries. He already apologized."

Katara and Aang stopped for minute with Aang saying "Sokka apologized?"

They resumed walking as Dijin frowned at Jet not believing him for a second while Jet said "He's out on a scouting mission for me. He'll be back later."

Katara smiled saying "I'm glad he cooled off. He can be so stubborn sometimes."

Suddenly the group was surprised as Aang screamed as he was launched in the air by a steam-vent. Jet seeing this smiled saying "All right, we're here. Underground water's trying to escape from these vents. I need you and Katara to get things going." he then looked at Dijin and pointed at the empty reservoir saying "But first I need you to Earth-bend all along the reservoir to make it bigger."

Dijin still having a bad feeling about all this reluctantly jumped into the reservoir before stomping his right foot and pushing his arms out, the Earth followed his command as the ground became loose and was pushed into the sides of the reservoir making the walls higher and the reservoir deeper. Dijin repeated the process until Jet was satisfied while Katara and Aang began to bend the water out of the vents turning them into spouts.

Dijin jumped out of the Reservoir watching Katara and Aang raise the water from down below as Jet turned to leave saying "Yes! Good job guys. This will fill up nicely just keep at it I'll go check out things at the end of the reservoir."

As he walked away Katara smiled at him saying "We'll meet you there when we're done."

Jet had a small look of panic before saying with a straight face "Actually, probably be better if you meet me back at camp when you're done." he then walked away into the forest.

Dijin frowned at that and said to Aang and Katara "Hey, can you guy's handle the rest on your own I want to see if Sokka is nearby."

Katara smiled liking the idea saying "Go ahead, we got this."

Dijin nodded his head before waving his hands back and forth at his waist Earth-bending the ground and surfing on it as he headed to the dam where the reservoir water gathered.

It didn't take long for Dijin to find what he was looking for; he was standing on a hill overlooking the dam and saw Jets "men" unloading the blasting the jelly they got from the Fire Nation against the dam wall. Dijin knowing what they were going to do with it jumped down and quickly headed towards them.

The kids just unloaded the last barrel when suddenly they were all knocked off their feet by the ground quaking under them. They looked to the forest and saw Dijin walk towards them as he said "Do you have any idea what you're doing? This dam leads directly to that Earth Kingdom town!" he then pointed in the direction of said town before yelling "There are Women! Children! Elderly! and you're going to kill them all!"

One dumb kid shouted at Dijin saying "That's the cost of war!"

Dijin eyes widened before he glared at the kid and bared his teeth screaming "What would you children know of the cost of war!"

He then frowned before placing his hand to the side and Earth-bent a six foot long Earth Bo-Staff. He then spoke darkly saying "Allow me to educate you on the brutality of war."

He then held his staff to the side while crouching slightly and holding his left hand out with his index finger and thumb open.

One kid with a spear instantly attacked going for a thrust but Dijin twirled his staff knocking the spear to side. He then rotated the staff and nailed the kid in the chin before he round housed kicked him in the head knocking him out of the fight.

Dijin took the same stance again saying "Who's next?"

Another kid charged him this one with dual Dao swords, he tried a dual diagonal swipe but Dijin blocked it before rotating his staff again in a circle trapping the kids arms before Dijin head butted him and slid his staff downwards knocking the swords out of the young fighter hands. Dijin then hit him in the side of his head with the staff making him do a forced side flip.

Next two more kids attacked him at once, one had knives all over himself while the other held a weighted chain and sickle. The one with the chain threw it at Dijin who blocked it with his staff but the chain wrapped around it. Next the kid with knives threw a handful of blades at Dijin who just stepped to the side and used the side of the staff that wasn't wrapped up to block them. Dijin then with pure strength pulled the sickle and chain user towards him and when he got close, he clotheslined him in the neck with his left arm making him do a backflip. The chain came loose from his staff as he twirled it and then with pinpoint accuracy threw it at the knife wielder hitting him in the head and shattering the staff while knocking him to the ground.

Dijin looked around and saw all the kids were groaning in pain with only two more left who just stared in disbelief at how Dijin just took out almost everyone there without bending. Dijin then twisted his left foot trapping the two in the earth up to their waists as they struggled to get out. Dijin then said "Now, Let's see you brats blow the dam now."

The two were struggling with all their might to get out of the earth with one of them saying in a panic "You have to let us go! We weren't the ones supposed to blow up the dam!"

Dijin starting not to like where this was heading asked "If you weren't supposed to blow it, then who was?"

Suddenly Dijin heard a familiar bird call and looked towards the forest and saw a yellow glow in tree about a mile away.

Dijin's eyes widened before he slammed his feet into the ground and threw his arms to the side Creating two huge Earth-waves getting the kids out of the way.

He didn't have long to react after that because just as he turned around a flaming arrow struck the blasting jelly and Dijin could only shout "SHIT!" before he was blasted back from the shockwave and through pure strength and will he maneuvered his body upright and dug his arms and legs into the earth creating magma as he went.

Dijin didn't have long because the water was rushing fast so he ran and jumped before slamming his feet into the earth and throwing his forearms and fists forward bending a huge wave of Lava about 20 feet high, he then punched diagonally upwards to the left and right creating two more magma walls the water instantly hardening the Lava rock. Dijin repeated the process several times until there was now a solid Lava rock wall blocking the water. Dijin wasn't finished yet however, he then curled his fingers inward making the magma wall harder and next he flattened his hands and starting pushing against an invisible force while the magma-wall started to be pushed back along with the water. Sweat started to pour off Dijin's body from the effort, Not only was he pushing a heavy rock wall but also thousands of gallons of water and he was walking through ankle deep water as well. Dijin's nose started bleeding from the strain of bending something of this magnitude before finally the Lava-wall ended up where the old wooden dam used to be.

Dijin instantly collapsed to his hands and feet breathing heavy as he knelt in the water that escaped the dam. He looked behind himself and saw that the town had little to no damage the worst being a few large puddles.

Suddenly however, Dijin heard a voice he never thought he would be glad to hear.

"Dijin! Are you alright! I saw everything from Appa!" Dijin looked up and saw Sokka flying on Appa above him, Dijin tried to stand but he was weak from what he just did and fell down.

Sokka quickly flew down and jumped into water grabbing Dijin's arm and putting it on his shoulder helping him up and asked rhetorically "Did you just fight a flood and win?"

Dijin just smiled saying "Glad you're ok too, Sokka."

As Sokka helped him onto Appa he said "Did I forget to mention how awesome it is you're on the team?"

Dijin laughed a little saying "You might have mentioned it once or twice."

Sokka flew them to a cliff-side where he saw Aang and Katara and once they landed Dijin and Sokka hopped off with Katara rushing to hug them both.

Katara then pulled away saying "You two were right about Jet. I'm so sorry."

Dijin looked behind her and saw Jet frozen in ice as he glared at Dijin before shouting "Damn you Dijin! We could have rid the Fire Nation from this valley but no, you had to pull out some crazy bending and save the day!"

Sokka frowned at Jet saying "It doesn't matter if Dijin stopped the flood or not I got the town evacuated beforehand."

Jet and everyone looked at Sokka in shock as Jet screamed "How? No one would have believed you!"

Sokka just continued to frown as he said "Your wrong Jet, someone did believe me, the old man you attacked and robbed. It turns out that old man was actually an ambassador for the Fire Nation so they instantly trusted him and by extension me. No one was going to take me seriously until he spoke up and vouched for me."

Jet looked at the Gaang with fury saying "Your fools! None of you know the cost of war!"

Dijin's eyes widened once again at Jet's words because Dijin knew all too well what the cost of war was. It was only three years ago he was given his first squad of soldiers to command and he would never forget that day. Over half of the men he led into battle never made it home to the Earth Kingdom and now this... Boy thinks he knows the cost of war?

Something inside of Dijin snapped as stomped over to Jet and grabbed his hair with his left hand and punched him in the face with his right. Jet's head flew to the side a tooth coming loose and blood splattering the ground.

Dijin grabbed his head again and yelled in his face "You think you know war!"

He then punched Jet again his head flying to side as blood splattered the ground again.

Dijin grabbed him and yelled "You think you know pain!"

He then punched Jet again knocking another tooth loose and more blood gathering on the ground.

Dijin grabbed him again and yelled one last thing "You think you know death!"

Then with pure strength Dijin grabbed Jet's collar and broke him out of his icy prison and threw him on the ground face-first before Earth-bending some cuffs on his hands and feet. Dijin then knelt down to Jet's ear as he said darkly "I'm going to show you something we Earth-benders do to Fire Nation spies."

Jet's eyes widened in a panic hearing his words coming back to haunt him. He also knew what Dijin was about to do, he had heard about it from a Fire-bender he caught a while back.

So, Jet looked at Dijin pleadingly saying "Please Don-"

But he was cut off by Dijin who Earth-bent a stone gag around his mouth. He then knelt next to jet's body before forming his hands into knives and started stabbing the ground repeatedly. At the same time a bed of pillars was rising and falling under Jet instantly bruising his skin and shattering the bones in his body. Jet's screams were muffled by the gag and they continued until he couldn't even scream anymore.

Dijin stopped stabbing the ground then unbent the gag and cuffs from jet before kicking him onto his back.

Jet looked at Dijin pleadingly whimpering out "No more. Please."

Dijin just looked at him with uncaring eyes saying "I'm done with you."

Jet closed his eyes in relief before Dijin spoke again saying "But the Fire Nation isn't."

Jet's eyes widened in horror as he said "You can't be serious!"

Dijin went to grab him saying in a cold tone "Dead serious."

However, before he could grab him a gust of wind blew his hand away as Aang shouted at him "That's enough!"

Dijin turned around to face Aang as he shouted "What are doing Aang!"

Aang just glared at Dijin saying "He's beaten Dijin there's no need to take this any further."

Dijin growled at the Avatar's naivete as he shouted "You think just because I broke his bones he's magically reformed and won't try doing this again? Aang, he was willing to kill children for spirit's sake! All for his selfish vendetta. You're honestly saying we should let someone like that go?"

Aang stood firm in his beliefs saying "The monks taught me that when your enemy is beaten there is no longer a need to fight."

The Water Tribe siblings on the other hand understood what Dijin was saying as Aang raised his staff saying "If your gonna take him then your gonna have to fight me first."

Dijin grit his teeth but before he could do anything Sokka grabbed Aang from behind holding his hands to stop him from bending while Katara froze his feet with water.

Aang looked at the water Tribe siblings shocked as he said "What are you guys doing!"

Sokka held onto Aang saying "Dijin's right Aang, Jet was getting ready to kill innocent people with no thought for the repercussions. He has to go down."

Aang looked at Katara desperately and said "Katara you can't agree with this too."

Katara looked away from him and held her left arm while having an inner debate with herself. Sure, turning Jet over to the Fire Nation seemed cruel but he was willing to kill women and children. Then on top of that who knows if he won't try it again but no one will be here to stop him next time.

Katara looked at Aang with tears in her eyes saying "You don't know what this war has done Aang, you've been gone 100 years and I know firsthand the cruelty of this world." she then placed her hand where her mother's necklace used to be before looking at Aang with a hard gaze but with tears still falling down her cheeks. She then said "So, if I can stop a monster from hurting innocent people by turning him over to worse monsters then so be it."

Aang couldn't believe what he was hearing, yes, the world was in a bad state of affairs but could it really have gotten this bad?

Sokka seeing his sister was with him said to Dijin "Go. We'll hold Aang here till you come back. Also take Appa they didn't seem to know his connection to Aang but they'll arrest you if they see your Earth-bending."

Dijin nodded his head before grabbing Jet who was screaming bloody murder saying "You can't do this! You're killing me you know that! Your murde-"

He was cut off by Dijin who punched him in the jaw knocking him out saying "Shut up. You damn hypocrite." He threw Jet onto Appa's saddle roughly while climbing up and sighing before saying "Ok big guy, please just don't drop me. Yip, yip."

Appa roared and then took off towards the town with Dijin shouting "Oh Shit!"

Aang could only watch as Dijin flew away with Jet while Katara and Sokka made sure he didn't interfere.

Once Dijin made it to town he was greeted by the old man Sokka saved as the rest of the townsfolk started to come back after realizing the town was safe.

Dijin spoke to the old man saying, "Do you happen to know where the Fire Nation bounty office is?"

The old man answered kindly saying "Why, yes I do how can I be of service?"

Dijin then pulled Jet from behind him saying "I want to collect a bounty."

The old man recognizing the hooligan who robbed him said "By the spirit's! I hope you didn't get injured capturing him."

Dijin waved him off saying "I'm fine. Just want to reap the rewards of doing the Fire Nation a service."

The old man smiled and bowed saying "Well, we thank you for your help. Now, please, right this way and we'll get you all settled."

Dijin followed the man saying, "Thank you."

When it was all said and done Jet was now on his way to a Fire Nation prison and Dijin had a pouch full of 30 gold pieces.

Dijin went to the place he hid Appa before having him fly back to the others. Once he landed Katara and Sokka let Aang go as they went to join Dijin on Appa.

Aang didn't look at any them for a few minutes until Katara said "Aang come on, let's get out of here."

Aang just nodded his head and climbed up taking the reigns as he had Appa fly away.

The Gaang said nothing to each other as they flew and Aang was now starting to slowly realize just how terrible the world had become.
