Chapter 3: A Prophecy Unfolds
The day is bright and early skies in the Mushroom Kingdom. The highnesses have just received the Chief's letter and are shocked after hearing the trouble those Koopas had recently caused. Wanting to hear more the King and Queen have invited Yoshi to the castle so he could explain further about the dinosaurs' recent adventure. Using a warp pipe Yoshi instantly teleported to the castle where they are waiting…
"Yoshi has arrived your highnesses." said a castle guard. "I am sending him in now."
The castle guard led Yoshi into the conference room where the King and Queen have been expecting him…
"Welcome Sir Yoshi, glad to see you've made it safely." said King Toadstool. "We were shocked to hear about what had gone down on the island that day. I know the Koopas are evil but stooping that low into kidnapping newborns I worry why."
"That must have been quite the surprise for you and your friends." said Queen Toadstool. "As the Chief stated thank you again for reuniting the babies and making sure they got home safely."
"No problem your majesty." said Yoshi. "The interesting thing though is the baby with red hat was so determined to rescue his brother like he was born for adventure."
"This magical land is full of surprises that have yet to be discovered." said Queen Toadstool.
"Indeed my love, there is also no doubt that Kamek will attempt to kidnap them again." said King Toadstool. "I have a feeling this is just the beginning of something terrible and long forthcoming. Should we need help when the Koopas return we will call on you all again. Until we meet again Sir Yoshi, we wish you all well."
"Safe journey home young hero." said Queen Toadstool.
And with that the young dinosaur journeyed back home to Yoshi's Island. Now, the king still lingering on his feeling headed downstairs, with the queen in tow, to the castle basement which contains the castle archives. The room holds all previous history of the Mushroom Kingdom dating back to its beginning. It also contains scrolls of prophecies that could reveal many different potential outcomes of the kingdom's future good or bad on its many pages…
"What is the trouble your highness?" said the Toad guard.
"I need you to find a scroll that may be sketched with a picture of twin brothers." said King Toadstool. "They are wearing similar hats, but one is red and the other green."
The Toad then found the very scroll we were looking for and began to read its inscription…
"One day the Mushroom Kingdom will fall under a dark and terrible curse. The land's only hope the daughter of King and Queen Toadstoolwhose magic holds the key to saving its inhabitants and ending the darkness. However she will soon be needed of her own rescuing in hopes of using her magic to save them all. High in the kingdom's skies born from the stars two legendary heroes cloth in red and green who will return from an unknown land and save the princess."
"I knew that our daughter was special but for her to have to endure this I worry my love." said Queen Toadstool.
"Do not worry my queen I trust that the brothers will rescue our daughter." said King Toadstool. "It's just as Sir Yoshi said they were born for adventure."
"In that case we shall have to meet these brothers immediately." said Queen Toadstool. "We must be careful however not to reveal the details of the scroll to their parents."
"Your right my queen its just as said you mustn't change the past or the future." said King Toadstool. "Thank you toad guard for your help."
And with that the King and Queen headed back to their duties for tomorrow they will meet the future heroes of their land Mario and Luigi…
Author's Note: Chapter 3! is now complete. Had no time cause midterms and such and such but finally got chapter 3 finished. Continuing from above in the next chapter Peach's parents will come face to face with Mario and Luigi. Didn't think this would happen huh, but it makes sense right? You must wait to find out. Until then big hopes for Chapter 4
