Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 4. Thank you to those who have stayed with this story and this series. It really does mean a lot. I know that the last chapter was a little sappy. But it had to be done to tell you what Aeron had gone through. I hope that you enjoy this chapter. Without further ado Chapter 4.

Chapter 4

Dean was happily driving his car. Sam and Aeron sat in their normal places.

The two of them shared a look.

"Whoo! Listen to her purr! Have you ever heard anything so sweet?" Dean asked, grinning from ear to ear.

Aeron shook her head. It had taken him a month to get his car back on the road and she thankfully had gotten off that cast, but now was in a brace which still meant no driving. But she was able to help Dean towards the end which she was surprised that he allowed her to do so. Perhaps it was because Sam said that she worked on her own car and knew what she was doing.

"You know, if you two want to get a room, just let me know, Dean." Sam said, looking at his brother.

"Oh, don't listen to him, baby. He doesn't understand us."

"You're in a good mood."

"Why shouldn't I be?"

"No reason."

"Got my car, got a case, things are looking up."

"Wow. You hear a couple of severed heads and a pile of dead cows and you're Mister Sunshine."

"Mister Brightside." Aeron said, rolling her eyes.

"How far is Red Lodge?" Dean asked, looking at Sam out of the corner of his eyes.

"Uh, about another three hundred miles."

"Good." Dean said flooring it.

SNSNSN

Dean and Sam were dressed in suits while Aeron was dressed in a nice skirt, blouse, and blazer. They were there to talk to the sheriff. They were posing as reporters.

"The murder investigation is ongoing, and that's all I can share with the press at this time." The sheriff told them.

"Sure, sure, we understand that, but for the record, you found the first, uh, head last week, correct?" Sam asked curiously.

"Mm-hmm."

"Okay, and the other, uh…"

"Christina Flanigan." Aeron said, looking at Sam.

"Thanks." He said looking up at her.

"That was two days ago. Is there…"

A young woman knocked on the door and pointed to her watch.

"Oh. Sorry, time's up, we're done here."

"One last question…"

"Yeah, what about the cattle?" Dean asked, looking at the sheriff.

"Excuse me?"

"You know, the cows were found dead, split open, drained…. over a dozen cases."

"What about them?"

"So you don't think there's a connection?" Sam asked, looking at the sheriff.

"Connection…. with…"

"First cattle mutilations, now two murders? Kinda sounds like ritual stuff."

"You know, like satanic cult ritual stuff?" Dean asked, rubbing his hands together.

"You… you're not kidding? the sheriff asked, laughing.

"No, we are reporters." Aeron said, crossing her arms.

"Those cows aren't being mutilated. You wanna know how I know?"

"How?" Sam asked.

"Because there's no such thing as cattle mutilation. Cow drops, leave it in the sun, within forty eight hours the bloat will split it open so clean it was just about surgical. The bodily fluids fall down into the ground and get soaked up because that's what gravity does. But, hey, it could be Satan. What newspaper did you say your work for?"

"World Weekly News…"

"Weekly World News…"

"World…"

"Weekly World…"

"Weekly." Dean let out a sigh.

"Ignore him, he's new." Aeron said, looking at Dean with narrow eyes.

"Get out of my office."

Aeron, Sam, and Dean walked out of the office.

"Well there is something going on." Aeron said following the two boys.

SNSNSN

The three of them entered the morgue. They had removed their coats and were wearing white lab coats.

"John." Dean said, looking at the man.

"Jeff."

"Jeff. I know that. Dr. Dworkin needs to see you in his office right away."

"But Dr. Dworkin's on vacation."

"Well, he's back. And he's pissed, and he's screaming for you, man, so if I were you I would…" The intern took off. "Okay."

Aeron shook her head. "Really had to put the scare into him?"

Dean shook his head rolling his eyes. He looked at Sam. "Hey, those satanists in Florida, they marked their victims, didn't they?"

"Yeah, reversed pentacle on the forehead." Sam replied.

"Yeah. So much f-d up crap happens in Florida." Dean grumbled. Dean handed Sam a pair of latex gloves. Grabbing a pair of his own and giving Aeron a pair as well.

The three of them put their gloves on.

Sam opens the compartment and wheels out the corpse. There was a box between its legs.

"Alright, open it." Dean told Sam.

"You open it." Sam grumbled out.

Aeron rolled her eyes. "I swear if this is what working with you two will be like god." She grumbled, grabbing the box and carrying it over to the table. She opened the lid.

Sam cringed.

Aeron looked at the head. "Well there's no pentagram."

Sam came over and saw the head. "Wow… Poor girl."

"Maybe we should, uh, you know, look in her mouth. See if those wackos stuffed anything down her throat. You know, kinda like the Moth in Silence of the Lambs."

"Yeah, here, go ahead." Sam said, looking at his brother.

"No, you go ahead."

"What?"

"Put the lotion in the basket."

"Oh my god. Why don't you two just back away." Aeron said, pushing them away from the head. Aeron opened the girl's mouth. She blinked a few times. "I'll be damned."

"What?" The brothers asked, looking at her.

"Come here." She said pulling the two of them over to her. "Look at this." She said lifting up the lip.

"Is that a hole?" Dean asked in confusion.

Aeron pressed lightly on the gun and a narrow sharp tooth came down.

"It's a tooth." Sam said in shock.

"Not any kind of tooth. A vampire fang. We got vampires here." She said looking at the two of them. "I'll be damned. It was something we weren't expecting, that's for damn sure."

"Well this changes things." Sam said under his breath.

"Ya think?"

SPNSPN

Sam, Dean, and Aeron were dressed in their normal clothes to go to the bar. The three of them walked up to the bar to get something to drink.

Gordon was watching them carefully from where he had sat.

"How's it going?" Dean asked the bartender.

"Living the dream. What can I get for you?" He asked, looking at Dean.

"Three beers, please."

"So, we're looking for some people." Sam said to the bartender.

"Sure. Hard to be lonely."

"Yeah. But um, that's not what I meant." Sam said, pulling out a fifty out and dropping it onto the bar.

The bartender took it.

"Right. So these, these people, they would have moved here about six months ago, probably pretty rowdy, like to drink…"

"Yeah real night owls, you know? Sleep all day, party all night."

"Barker farm got leased out a couple months ago. Real winners. They've been in her a lot… drinkers. Noisy. I've had 86 of them once or twice."

"Thanks."

They left their half finished beers on the table.

The man that was watching them was gone.

The three of them left the bar. The man that was watching them stalked them. The three of them went down the alley and he followed. He lost sight of them. He turned and Sam and Dean pinned him to the wall.

Dean had a knife to his throat. "Smile."

"What?" The man asked in confusion.

"Show us those pearly whites."

"Oh for the love of… you want to stick that thing someplace else? I'm not a vampire."

Sam frowned.

"Yeah that's right. I heard you guys there."

"What do you know about vampires?"

"How to kill them. Now seriously, bro. That knife's making me itch."

Dean cocked his head.

The man started to pull away.

Sam pinned him harder.

"Whoa. Easy there, chachi." He brought his lip up with his right hand showing normal gums. "See. Fangless. Happy?"

Dean let him go.

"Now. Who the hell are you?"

Aeron came down the alley way. "Nice to see that you boys decided to have a little fun without me."

Gordon looked at her. He narrowed his eyes on her. "It's you."

Aeron smirked at him. "Glad you didn't forget me sugar."

"You shot me with rock salt."

"You deserved it. You almost killed me." She said, crossing her arms. "Gordon Walker."

"And who are your boys?"

"Sam and Dean Winchester."

Gordon took them to his car. He pulled out his arsenal showing them. "Sam and Dean Winchester. I can't believe it. You know I met your old man once? Hell of a guy. Great hunter. I heard he passed. I'm sorry. They're big shoes. But from what I hear you guys fill 'em. Great trackers, good in a tight spot…"

"Oh quit sucking up Walker."

"You seem to know a lot about our family." Dean said, looking at Gordon.

"Word travels fast. You know how hunters talk."

"No, we don't, actually."

"I guess there's a lot your dad never told you, huh? Same with Elkins here."

"So, um, so those two vampires, they were yours, huh?" Sam asked, trying to ease the tension that he felt there.

"Yep. Been here two weeks."

"Did you check out that Barker farm?" Dean asked curiously.

"It's a bust. Just a bunch of hippie freaks. Though they could kill you with that patchouli smell alone."

"Where's the nest, then?"

"I've got this one covered. Look, don't get me wrong. It's a real pleasure meetin' you fellas. But I've been doing this for over a year. I killed a fang back in Austin, tracked the nest all the way up here. I'll finish it."

"We could help."

"Thanks, but uh, I'm kind of a go-it-alone type of guy." He looked at Aeron. "Same with the girl that you have with you."

"Come on man, I've been itching for a hunt." Dean complained.

Aeron ran her hand through her short hair. This was not going to end very well.

"Sorry. But hey, I hear there's a Chupacabra two states over. You go ahead and knock yourselves out." He said getting in his car. "It was really good meeting you though. I'll buy you a drink on the flip side. And I hope I don't see you again, Elkins."

"Yeah you and I are both jackasses."

He drove off.

Aeron looked at the boys and saw the looks that she was getting from them. "What?"

"You know him." Sam asked with wide eyes. Gosh Aeron did know a lot of hunters.

"Trust me. You really don't want to know that asshat." Aeron muttered as she crossed her arms.

"I think we should follow him." Dean said leading the both of them towards the Impala.

SNSNSN

Aeron, Dean, and Sam were down at the mill having followed Gordon there.

"You two go." Aeron told them.

Sam looked at her concerned. "What about you?"

"I'm gonna stay up here." She said looking at Sam. "I'm not going anywhere near Gordon unless I have to. I still want to shoot the SOB with rock salt."

Sam put his hand on her shoulder. "You're going to be alright."

"I got my machete if I need it." She said with a smile. "Go with Dean."

Sam nodded his head. "We will be back."

"I know you will."

The brothers went down to see if they could find Gordon.

Aeron held onto her machete. Her mind went back to when she met Gordon. He was nice at first but then she knew why Ellen had warned her about Gordon. He didn't give a shit about the people that he worked with. She learned that the hard way when he had almost gotten her killed and she shot him with rock salt in the ass. She would do it again too. She hated Gordon and would never stop hating him. That was for sure. Perhaps Sam and Dean would see that as well.

SPNSPN

Aeron sat with Sam, Dean, and Gordon reluctantly. She didn't want to be in the bar with Gordon anywhere near her. Hell she had every right to hate the man after what he had done to her and he had every right to hate her because she did shoot him in the ass with rock salt when he had come onto one of the hunts that she was on.

The waitress brought another round of drinks for them.

Dean went to reach for his wallet.

"No, no, I got it." Gordon told Dean.

"Come on."

"I insist." He pays for the drinks. "Thank you sweetie." He raised his shot glass. "Another one bites the dust."

"That's right."

Dean and Gordon drink to the toast.

Sam sat back in his seat with his arms folded.

Aeron moved her seat closer to Sam not wanting to be close to Gordon.

"Dean." Gordon laughed. "You gave that big-ass fang one hell of a haircut, my friend." Gordon was quite proud of what Dean had done to that vampire.

Aeron looked at Sam in confusion. What the heck did she miss out on. What the hell did Dean do?

Sam shook his head. He wasn't about to tell her what the hell Dean did. He had never seen Dean act and do something like that in all the times that he had been hunting with his brother. He wouldn't admit it, but it scared the hell out of him. He was pretty sure that it would scare the hell out of Aeron as well.

"Thank you." Dean said with a smile.

"That was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful."

"Yep." Dean looked over at Sam and Aeron. "You alright, Sammy? Ryan?"

"I'm fine." Sam said, looking at his brother.

"Don't worry about me Deano. I'm fine as well." She muttered as she polished off her drink that she had in front of her.

"Well, lighten up a little, Sammy."

"He's the only one who gets to call me that." Sam snapped.

Aeron put her hand on his arm.

Sam relaxed a little bit into her touch.

"Okay. No offense meant. Just celebrating a little. Job well done." Gordon eyed the two young hunters. He was wondering what was going on between the two of them. The last time that he has seen the youngest hunter was when he was shot in the ass with rock salt and that was when he almost had gotten her killed. He knew that she liked hunting alone. So why the hell was she hunting with these two anyways?

"Right. Well, decapitations aren't my idea of a good time, I guess."

"Oh, come on, man, it's not like it was human. You've gotta have a little more fun with your job."

"See? That's what I've been trying to tell him. You could learn a thing or two from this guy." Dean said, looking at Sam.

Aeron got up from her seat.

"Yeah, I bet I could. Look, I'm not gonna bring you guys down. I'm just gonna go back to the motel."

"Same here." Aeron said, running a hand through her short hair.

"You sure?" Dean asked, looking at the two of them. They didn't seem tired. But maybe he was wrong. Maybe they wanted to get some sleep? He wasn't sure about that.

"Yeah." Sam said getting up out of his seat.

"Sammy? Remind me to beat that buzzkill out of you later, alright?" Dean tossed Sam the keys.

Aeron looked at Sam. "Come on Sam."

Sam draped his arm over her shoulder walking out with her so no one would try to hit on her while she walked out with him.

Aeron's cheeks turned a little bit pink at the gesture from Sam, but she knew why he did it. IT was to keep her safe and sound.

"Something I said?" Gordon asked in contusion.

"No, no, he just gets that way sometimes. Not sure about Ryan. Tell you what. match your quarters for the next round." Dean said with a smile.

SNSNSN

Aeron and Sam returned to the motel room that they were staying in.

Aeron looked tiredly at Sam.

"You gonna go to bed?"

Aeron shrugged her shoulders. "What would be the point? Dean's hanging out with someone that isn't good."

"What do you mean?"

"He's bad luck." Aeron said softly as she sat down on the couch. "You can call Ellen. She'll tell you."

Sam nodded his head. He pulled out his cell phone and called Ellen up. He had it on speaker so Aeron could hear as well.

"Harvelle's Roadhouse."

"Hey, Ellen, uh, Sam Winchester."

"Sam, it's good to hear from you. You boys are okay, aren't you?"

"Yeah. Yeah, everythings fine."

"And how is Aeron?"

"I'm fine Ellen." Aeron said with a smile.

"I have a question for you." Sam said softly.

"Yeah, shoot."

"Have you ever run across a guy named Gordon Walker?"

"Yeah, I know Gordon."

"And?"

"Well, he's a really good hunter. Why are you asking, sweetie?"

"Well, we ran into him on a job and we're kinda working with him, I guess."

"Don't do that Sam."

"I.. I thought you said he was a good hunter."

"Yeah, and Hannibal Lecter's a good psychiatrist. Look, he's dangerous to everyone and everything around him. If he's working a job you boys just let him handle it and you move on. Aeron knows what I am talking about. He almost got her killed on a vampire hunt and it was he who hunted. She shot him in the ass with rock salt."

"Ellen."

"No, Sam? You just listen to what I'm telling you, okay?"

"Right, okay." Sam hung up his cellphone and looked at Aeron. "I am sorry that I didn't believe you."

"You should have asked after I called him what I called him."

Sam rubbed his face. "And Dean is with that guy."

"Yeah… Meaning that there is a storm that your brother isn't gonna be ready for. And it means you have to be ready too."

Sam nodded his head. "You want something to drink?"

"Yeah… Thanks Sam."

"Any time…"

"You can call me by one of my nicknames." She said, offering him a small smile.

Sam smiled. "I'll get you something to drink Ry. I'll be back."

"Be careful Sam."

"Always am." Sam left the room.

Aeron turned her back away from the door not thinking about what might come through that door. She heard the door open. She turned and her world went black. The last thing that she felt was someone putting her onto one of the beds.

SPNSPN

Dean unlocked the room and saw that Aeron was laying in bed. He walked over to her. "Hey, Ryan." He shook her lightly.

Aeron groaned in pain. She sat up on the bed holding on the back of her head where she was clocked. With what she didn't know.

"You alright?"

"Damn it." She shot up off of the bed. She swayed a little bit.

Dean caught her. "Whoa careful there."

"Looks like she can't hold her liquor." Gordon said, looking at her.

"I don't drink much asshat." She snapped. She groaned and rubbed the back of her head. Where the hell was Sam?

"Just sit there Aeron." He told her, forcing her to sit.

"Oh go to hell Dean if you are going to have Mister I can handle hunts on his own." She pushed Dean out of her way and stumbled towards the door holding onto the back of her head.

"Where are you going?" Dean demanded.

"Not my father." She seethed. "And if you want to know how to get ice." She said leaving the room.

Gordon shook his head. "I can't believe that you are working with her."

"She's good at what she does."

"And she's a danger to others."

Dean sat down at the table.

Gordon pulled out the map that he had. He showed it to Dean. "This is the best pattern I can establish. It's sketchy at best."

"Looks like it's all coming from this side of town." Dean said pointing to it. "WHich means the nest would be around here someplace, right?"

"Yep, that's what I'm thinking. Problem is, there's thirty five, forty farms out there. I've searched about half of them already, but nothing. They're covering their tracks real good."

"Then I guess we'll just have to search the other half." Dean looked at his watch. "What time is it? Where is Sam?" Dean questioned himself finding out his brother wasn't there.

"Car's parked outside. Probably went for a walk. Seems like the take a walk type."

"Yeah, he is, but…"

Sam opened the door coming into the room. He gave Dean a look.

"Where have you been?" Dean questioned his little brother.

"Can I talk to you alone?"

"You mind chillin' out for a couple minutes?" He asked Gordon.

Gordon shook his head.

Dean followed Sam out of the room. He saw Aeron looking up into the sky.

"Dean, maybe we've got to rethink this hunt." Sam told the two of them.

"What are you talking about? Where were you?" Dean asked, looking at Sam.

"In the nest."

"You found it?" Dean asked in surprise.

"They found me, man. Me and Aeron both. They knocked her out. They took me."

"How'd you get out? How many did you kill?"

"None."

"Well, Sam. They didn't just let you go."

Aeron shook her head. "That's what they did, Dean."

"Alright, well, where is it?"

"I was blindfolded, I don't know." Sam said, looking at Dean.

"Well, you've got to know something." Dean said, prying some more.

"We went over that bridge outside of town, but Dean, listen. Maybe we should go after them." Sam explained himself to Dean.

"Why not?"

"I don't think they're like other vampires. I don't think they're killing people."

"You're joking. Then how do they stay alive? Or undead, or whatever the hell they are."

"The cattle mutilations. They said they live off of animal blood."

"And you believed them?"

"Look at me, Dean. They let me go without a scratch."

"Wait, so you're saying… No man, no way. I don't know why they let you go. I don't really care. We find 'em, we waste 'em. Aeron agrees with this."

"No I don't." Aeron said, looking at him.

"Why should we waste them Dean?" Sam questioned his brother.

"What the hell you two. What part of vampires you don't understand? If it's supernatural, we kill it, end of story. That's our job."

Sam clutched his hands at his sides. "No, Dean, that's not our job. Our job is hunting evil. And if these things aren't killing people, they're not evil!"

"Of course they're killing people, that's what they do. They're all the same, Sam. They're not human, okay? We have to exterminate every last one of them."

"Even if they aren't killing humans?" Aeron demanded. "Yes. I was skeptical, but Sam makes a good point."

"No, Dean, I don't think so, alright? Not this time."

"Gordon's been on those vamps for a year, man, he knows." Dean said, looking at the two of them.

"Gordon?" Sam asked, looking at Dean.

"Yes."

"You're taking his word for it?"

"That's right."

"He's bad news Dean. Very bad fucking news." Aeron said, looking at him, crossing her arms, looking at him.

"I called Ellen as well."

"You called Ellen?" Dean questioned looking at his little brother.

Sam nodded his head.

"And I'm supposed to listen to her? We barely know her, Sam."

"And what about what Aeron says?" Sam said, looking at Dean.

"I don't know her that well."

Aeron narrowed her eyes at him. "Fuck you Dean."

"Right, cause Gordon's such an old friend. You don't think I can see what this is?"

"What are you talking about?"

"He's a substitute for dad, isn't he? A poor one."

"Shut up Sam."

"He's not even close, Dean. Not on his best day."

"You know what? I'm not even going to talk about this."

"You know, you slap on this big fake smile, but I can see right through it. Because I know how you feel, Dean. Dad's dead. And he left a hole, and it hurts so bad you can't take it, but you can't just fill up that hole with whoever you want to. It's an insult to his memory."

"Okay." Dean started to turn away. He turned around and punched Sam hard. "And you didn't? You replaced dad with some girl that you hardly know!"

"You hit me all you want. It won't change anything."

"I'm going to that nest. You don't want to tell me where it is, fine. I'll find it myself."

"Dean?"

Dean walked back to the motel room.

Sam followed him.

Aeron was just a few steps behind him.

"Gordon?" Dean asked in confusion.

"You think he went after them?" Sam asked, looking at Dean.

"Without a doubt." Aeron said, shaking her head.

"Dean, we have to stop him."

"Really, Sam? Because I say we lend a hand." Dean said, looking at the two young hunters with a look.

"Just give us the benefit of the doubt, would you? You owe us that."

"Yeah, we'll see. I'll drive. Give me the keys."

Sam pointed to the table where he had put them. "He snuck the keys." Sam said with wide eyes.

Aeron groaned. "Come on. That's why Ellen and I say don't trust the son of a bitch. I am oh so going to shoot him with rock salt."

"No I don't think you will." Sam said, patting Aeron on the arm.

"Oh really, Sam? You're gonna stop me."

"As much as it sounds like it would be fun to watch… I don't think I would want to see you do that."

Aeron let out a sigh. "I suppose you are right."

The three of them went to the Impala and got into it.

Dean grimaced when he hot wired his own car. He never wanted to do that to his baby. "I can't believe this. I just fixed her up, too." He said as he got her started. "So the bridge, is that all you got?"

"The bridge was four and a half minutes from their farm." Sam replied.

"How do you know?"

"I counted." Sam said, looking at his brother.

Dean drove the way that Sam had told him to. "You're good. You're a monster pain in the ass, but you're good."

Aeron rolled her eyes. "Perhaps you'll know what I mean with this son of a bitch later."

SNSNSN

The three of them came into the farmhouse that Sam had been taken to earlier.

"Sam, Dean, Elkins. Come on in." Gordon said with a smile.

"What do you think you're doing you asshat?" Aeron said with narrow eyes.

"Just poisoning Lenore here with some dead man's blood. She's going to tell us where all her little friends are, aren't you? You want to help Dean?"

"Look, man…" Dean said, looking at Gordon.

"Grab a knife. I was just about to start the fingers." He said, dragging the knife across her arm.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, hey, let's all just chill out, huh?" Dean said in surprise. What the hell was wrong with Gordon.

"I'm completely chill."

"Gordon, put the knife down." Sam said, stepping towards Gordon.

Dean stopped him with his hand.

"Sounds like Sam here needs to chill."

"Just step away from her, alright?"

"You're right. I'm wasting my time here. This bitch will never talk. Might as well put her out of her misery." Gordon said, pulling out a larger knife. "I just sharpened it, so it's completely humane." He turned towards Lenore.

Aeron moved quickly towards him. "How about you put the knife down." Aeron said with narrowed eyes. "And let her go."

Gordon pointed the knife at her. "You're not doing a damn thing."

"Hey, hey, hey, Gordon, let's talk about this." Dean said to Gordon.

"What's there to talk about? It's like I said, Dean. No shades of gray."

"Yeah. I hear ya. And I know how you feel."

"Do you?"

"That vampire that killed your sister deserved to die, but this one…"

Gordon started to laugh.

"What's so funny."

"Dean, that's not it. The vampire turned his sister. He killed his own sister." Aeron said to him.

Gordon grabbed a hold of her short hair causing her to scream.

"You did what?" Dean asked, his eyes widening.

"You heard this little slut here." Gordon said, pulling Aeron's hair causing her head to snap back. "It wasn't my sister anymore, it wasn't human. I didn't blink. And neither would you."

"So you knew all along, then? You knew about the vampires, you knew that they weren't killing anyone. You knew about the cattle. And you just didn't care." Sam said with narrowed eyes.

"Care about what? A nest of vampires suddenly acting nice? Taking a little time out from sucking innocent people? And we're supposed to buy that? Trust me. Doesn't change what they are. And I can prove it." He said dragging Aeron with him over to Lenore.

Sam and Dean pulled their guns out.

"Let her go now!" Sam shouted at Gordon.

"Oh you care about this little broad? Relax. If I wanted to kill her, she would be already on the floor bleeding out of that pretty little neck of hers. Just making a little point." He cut her arm open deep causing her to scream. He pulled her arm over Lenore.

The blood dripped onto Lenore's face. Lenore hissed as her fangs extended.

"Hey!" Dean yelled.

"You think she's so different? Still want to save her? Look at her. They're all the same. Evil, blood thirsty."

Lenore retracted her fangs and turned her face away. "No! No!"

"You hear her Gordon?" Sam snapped out.

"No! No!"

Aeron shoved Gordon away from her and gripped her arm tightly to keep it from bleeding. "You're lucky you son of a bitch that I don't have my gun."

"We're done here." Sam said, pulling Aeron away from Gordon.

"Sam, get her out of here. Ryan too."

"Yeah." Sam carefully picked Lenore up. "Come on Aeron."

Gordon went to take a step towards him.

"Uh-uh. Uh-uh! Gordon. I think you and I've got some things to talk about." Dean said, narrowing his eyes.

Aeron and Sam got out of there.

SNSNSN

Sam had taken Aeron back to the motel. "Aeron you're gonna have to hold that arm still."

Aeron groaned as she felt the needle pinch into her arm. "You know it is kind of hard since this one is deeper than the last few wounds that I had."

Sam nodded his head. "I know…" He said as he carefully stitched her up. "You weren't kidding much about Gordon."

Aeron shook her head. "Nope. I just hope that your brother is able to handle that son of a bitch."

Sam tied off the string. He used the whiskey that they had. "Hold your breath."

"Just do it Sam."

Sam poured some onto her arm.

Aeron closed her eyes hissing at the pain that she felt shooting up her arm.

Sam put the bandage on her arm. "There we go."

"We should get back to your brother."

SNSNSN

Sam and Aeron returned to the farmhouse and saw that Gordon was tied up to a chair and Sam's brother was pacing back and forth.

"Did we miss anything?" Sam asked Dean.

"Nah, not much. Lenore, get out okay?"

Sam nodded his head. "Yeah. All of them did."

"Then I guess our work here is done."

Gordon narrowed his eyes at Aeron. "You slut."

Aeron went stiff.

"You just allowed them to free vampires. You aren't a vampire hunter. You are just a wannabe now."

Dean looked at Gordon. "How you doin', Gordy? Gotta tinkle yet? Alright. Well, get comfy. We'll call someone in two or three days, have them come out and untie you." He jammed the knife into the table behind him.

Sam wrapped his arm around Aeron pulling her close to him. He saw her eyes were narrowed at Gordon. "Ready to go, Dean?"

"Not yet. I guess this is goodbye. Well, it's been real." He punched Gordon in the face knocking him to the floor. "I'm good now. We can go."

Aeron shook her head. "About time."

The three of them walked out of the farm house.

Dean winced at his recent injuries that he had gotten from Gordon. Dean stopped in his tracks. He set himself up like a boxer. "Sam? Clock me one."

"What?" Sam asked in confusion.

"Come on. I won't even hit you back. Let's go."

Sam shook his head. "No."

"Let's go, you can get a freebie. Hit me, come on."

Sam shook his head. "You look like you just went twelve rounds with a block of cement, Dean. I'll take a raincheck."

"I wish we never took this job, just… jacked everything up."

"What do you mean?" He asked to help Aeron into the car making sure that she didn't hit her arm open.

"Think about all the hunts we went on, Sammy, our whole lives."

"Okay."

"What if we killed things that didn't deserve killing? You know? I mean, the way dad raised us…"

"Dean, after what happened to mom, dad did the best he could."

"I know he did." Dean let out a soft sigh. "But the man wasn't perfect. And the way he raised us, to hate those things, and man, I hate 'em. I do. When I killed that vampire at the mill I didn't even think about it. Hell, I even enjoyed it."

Aeron shook her head and looked at the brothers who were having a moment.

"You didn't kill Lenore."

"No, but every instinct told me to. I was gonna kill her. I was gonna kill 'em all."

"Yeah, Dean, but you didn't. And that's what matters."

"Yeah. Well, 'cause you're a pain in my ass."

Sam smiled at what his brother said. "Guess I might have to stick around to be a pain in the ass, then."

"Thanks."

"Don't mention it." Sam said getting into the car.

Dean looked off into the distance before slipping into the car.

"You aren't gonna trust Gordon again are you?" Aeron asked from the back seat resting her head against the side of the car.

Dean looked back at her. "Now I can see why you shot him with rock salt."

Aeron laughed lightly. "Yeah. I'm glad."
