Chapter 4: A Family Dilemma
The next chapter takes place at a small mushroom house in the suburbs of Toad Town. Inside this home we find a human family enjoying the warm glow of the sunrise together. Among this family we can see two familiar faces wearing iconic red and green hats. That's right, it is our young heroes Mario and Luigi here alongside their parents Mr. and Mrs. Mario. What a miracle these two parents were given to have birthed a pair of children as special as these two. Yes, what one big happy family the Marios are. However, on this day in time, the lives of this family as they have known it would soon change forever…
"MAILLL CALLL!" calls Parakarry Sr. the usual drill when he delivers the Mushroom Kingdom mail.
The young bird arrives at the Marios' home with lightning speed carrying a very special letter. It comes from the Mushroom Castle you can see as it is stamped with the kingdom's royal seal. Let's go find out what it says…
"I'll get it honey." calls Mr. Mario as he heads outside towards the mailbox. "Why hello there Mr. Parakarry."
"How does it do Mr. Mario?" greeted Parakarry Sr. "You have a special letter come straight from the Mushroom Castle."
"That's-a sounds interesting." said Mr. Mario. "Thanks-a so much my friend."
"Another satisfied delivery!" said Parakarry Sr as he nodded goodbye then flew off toward his next delivery job.
Mr. Mario hurried back inside and called for his wife so they could read why the Mushroom Castle surprisingly wrote to them.
"Honey, come quick we got a letter from the Mushroom Castle!" called Mr. Mario.
"The Mushroom Castle that sounds interesting." said Mrs. Mario as she entered the room. "Read what it says."
The letter says as follows...
Dear Mario family, I King Toadstool am writing to you on behalf of all Mushroom Kingdom. I've recently come to newly discover a prophecy that has just magically appeared. A historic battle will soon come fall upon our land in the foreseeable future concerning your entire family. I must speak to you with the utmost of urgence as possible. Please come to castle immediately and bring your children as well.
Until then my regards,
Ruler of Mushroom Kingdom.
The parents looked with determined faces toward each other than to their children...
"I had a feeling when I first looked in their eyes the moment that they came." said Mrs. Mario. "I knew that there was something very special about them. Our sons looked at each other like they were the perfect pair, inseparable. The love that they share is unlike anything I have ever seen before. It is how a person would say purely magical."
"A mother's intuition is never wrong." said Mr. Mario. "Let's leave for the castle immediately."
And so, the Mario family headed off toward what will soon alter the rest of the course of their lives forever.
Their destiny starts now...
Author's Note: That's-a so nice! We finally get to meet the parents that birthed our friends we continue to love to this day. Sorry for the long hiatus my friends. Got a lot going on trying to figure out and open a bunch of things up for myself. I did comeback sometime to continue but things kept coming up, so I had to keep stopping.
