"Keeping me in Standard while you all get the fun….. not cool." Sora said as he looked around the Xyz Dimension street.
"We kept you because Standard might need you." Reiji replied.
"Nah, Leo won't attack there again. Plus as I tried to say before you disappeared… I'm the only one to understand him."
In the distance they saw a figure walking towards them. The dusty sky covered him but they knew who it was.
The long black coat came into the light, there he was, the Xyz Commander Ryo.
"Reiji Akaba, we meet again but this time on my turf." Ryo said.
"This isn't your turf, you invaded this world." Reiji replied. "Just as you tried to invade Standard but I heard you had an issue with defeating a certain Seto Kaiba?"
"I admit…. he was better than I thought…. but you Akaba…. you're the one I really want!"
"I'm flattered."
"Ryo!" Sora said stepping out in front.
"And it's the blue-haired baby... along with Traitor Tyler."
"Where's my sister?!" Grace yelled.
"She's a card!" Ryo smirked. Grace's face dropped.
"You can't have!"
"But I did? I'm top of the food chain but while the others are less! The others become cards. That's the way of life!"
"No! You can't!" Grace tried to get to Ryo but Sora stopped her.
"He didn't…. he's bluffing." Sora replied as he saw Ryo's smirk. He was enjoying the despair on Grace.
"I guess I need a better poker face." Ryo said. "Now after hearing about you after all these years from your father…. I expect a good duel!"
"You're dueling me!" Sora hit back.
"Wait your turn!" Ryo yelled. Reiji put his hand in front of Sora and pushed his glasses up with the other.
"Fine, I accept your offer." Reiji replied. "And once you lose we'll take you back to Standard for questioning! Reiji, Gongenzaka… you two go ahead."
"But, Reiji…." Gongenzaka questioned but Reiji nodded.
"Fine… beat this creep!" Masumi added as they ran past Ryo.
"It's a shame I'm only one man… oh well the others will get to them soon enough. Now let's duel!"

"I'll begin by playing Cyber Dragon Shell! This Spell allows me to give you a Cyber Dragon Shell Token!" On Reiji's field appeared a metallic ball.

"A free Token…. he's already got what he wants…" Sora said with gritted teeth.
"Since you control a Monster, Cyber Dragon can appear on my field!" The long metallic sliver dragon appeared.

"I set two cards and end my turn."
"He didn't Fusion or Xyz…. this is not like Ryo…" Grace spoke.
"You never hung around long enough to know me at all!" Ryo replied.
"I served under you…. all I ever heard from the other soldiers were how scared they were of you!"
"Good! People respect Leo but I differ. Ruling by fear is much more effective!"
Turn 2

Reiji LP: 4000 Hand: 5
"I was exactly the same when I formed this team…. I let people be pawns… I was always thinking of myself above others but then I learnt that I wasn't the most important part and that's something you need to learn, Ryo! I draw!" Reiji yelled.
"You mean that pipsqueak?" Ryo looked at Reira who was hiding behind Grace.
"Not just her but everyone else!"
"I had a younger relative as well…. he got in the way so I took him out!"
"Sho, Sho Marufuji." Grace added.
"It was during the years Academia was forming… building to begin our attacks. During training the brat kept crying, dragging me down… I was excelling while he never moved from the first stage. So I did what was right and I turned him into a card! He was the very first!"
"Did you or did my father encourage you?!"
"Leo saw my potential…. I just took it!"
"Or he exploited you like everyone else!"
"If he was exploiting me then why is he scared of me? He lets me run Xyz how I want!"
"You're deluded! Let's continue!" Reiji replied. "I set D/D/D Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok in my Pendulum Zone!" The red fiend emerged in his scale while sitting on a throne.
Raganarok 5 –
"I use a Trap! Dragon Capture Unit!" Ryo replied. "This Continuous Trap lets me take control or switch control of a Dragon Monster on the field. I'm taking my Token!" The Token switched to Ryo's field.
"I use D/D Swirl Slime in my hand to Fusion Summon! I send Swirl and D/D Savant Nikola to my graveyard!" Both Monsters spun around in the air as Reiji made the Fusion Summon pose. "Appear D/D/D Flame High King Genghis!"
A brown field with four arms emerged enraged in fire. It held three red swords in three of the hands while having a shield in the forth.

"If I Special Summoned a Monster, Raganarok can bring a D/D Monster from my graveyard to the field!D/D Savant Nikola is my choice!"

"However as a cost I take 1000 damage and any damage I inflict to you this turn is halved…." Reiji felt a burning pain run down his back as he took the damage.

"You won't inflict any damage on me so it's pointless."
"I wouldn't be getting ahead of myself if I were you! I Normal Summon D/D Ghost!" A golden gem appeared with a shadow of a cat inside.
D/D Ghost ATK: 600 DEF: 300 Dark/Fiend/Tuner/LVL 2
"I tune Nikola with Ghost!" Ghost became the green rings as Nikola went through.

"Appear before me,D/D/D Cursed King Siegfried! The monster was a knight in blue amour with a long red scarf. He held a long sword.
D/D/D Cursed King Siegfried ATK: 2800 DEF: 2200 Dark/Fiend/Synchro/LVL 8
"In case your Dragon Capture Unit has another effect, I'm negating it until your turn thanks to Siegfried's effect! And since I can use this effect during either of our turns…. it's useless."
Siegfried fired a beam from his sword which made Ryo's card turn grey.
"Now Cured King, wipe out his Token!"
Cursed King followed Reiji's orders and sliced the Monster in half with ease. Ryo took the hit and fell to his knees.
Ryo LP: 4000 – 1200
"Yes!" Grace cheered.
"No…. that's not good." Sora said. They heard chuckling come from Ryo as he stood up.
"Yes! That's what I wanted! More of it!"
"He enjoys pain…. remember?" Sora reminded Grace.
"He said he wouldn't take any damage to make Reiji attack harder?"
"Such mind games don't work on me." Reiji replied. "I always attack with full force!"
"Good! Bring it on!"
"Genghis, go!" Reiji yelled.
"I use my Trap!"
"Genghis' effect negates your Trap's activation during either of our turns as well!"
"What?!" Ryo replied as his Trap was destroyed without activating. Genghis cut Ryo's Monster into pieces.
Ryo ATK: 1200 – 500
"I end my turn with one facedown."
"You can negate me twice a turn….. that's really no fun!" Ryo shouted back with a tone of excitement. "But I love a test!"
Turn 3

"I draw! I play the Spell Cyber Emergency!"
"Is he trying to get Reiji to use his negations or is he just being dumb?" Grace questioned.
"Reiji won't fall for anything!" Sora added.
"I negate your card with Siegfried!" Reiji replied as it turned to grey.
"I got you! When Cyber Emergency is negated, by sending a card from my hand I can add it back to my hand!"
"You got me how?" Reiji mocked.
"If Cyber Enhance Dragon is sent to my graveyard via a card effect I can draw two cards!" Ryo sent the Monster to his graveyard and added the Spell back to his hand along with two new cards.
"He… got ahead of Reiji?" Sora stuttered.
"It was one decent move, it's nothing!" Grace added.
"I summon a second Cyber Dragon!"

"Appear Cyber Dragon Drei!" A small metal snake emerged with bright yellow eyes.

"When it's Normal Summoned I can make it level five"

"I overlay my two Cyber Dragons!" Both turned into different auras and shot into the sky where a yellow portal appeared. "I Xyz Summon rank five, Cyber Dragon Nova!" A bigger Cyber Dragon emerged with black wings and a longer tail. It had a black chest piece in the centre.

"The Fusion Commander using Xyz' makes you a hypocrite." Reiji spoke.
"Not at all! Why stop at one summoning method?! There are many things about Academia I don't accept and this is one of them! I use an overlay unit!"

"I summon a Cyber Dragon from my graveyard!"
Cyber Dragon ATK: 2100 DEF: 1600 Light/Machine/LVL 5
"Now it's time to unleash this very special Monster! I can Xyz Summon again using Nova!"
"With no Rank-Up?!"
"Exactly! Go my dragon!"
Nova shot into sky and a dark beam shot down.
"Now what?!" Reiji said as he saw Ryo smirking.
"I Xyz Summon Cyber Dragon Infinity!" A slimmer Cyber Dragon emerged with a red aura. It had a black tail with yellow markings.
Cyber Dragon Infinity ATK: 2100 DEF: 1600 Light/Machine/Rank 6/OU 2
"I thank you for summoning some strong Monsters… it makes it even better to take them away! Infinity gains 200 attack for each overlay unit!"
Infinity ATK: 2500
"Now comes the fun part! I can take one of your attack positioned Monsters and add it Infinity as an overlay unit!" Ryo smirked as Reiji could only grit his teeth. "I'm taking your lovely Fusion Monster! Merge with Infinity!"
Infinity coiled Flame High King Genghis with its long tail and crushed it. The energy remaining flowed into the dragon and a new overlay unit appeared.

"Ryo turned it all around…." Grace said as she put her hand on her mouth.
"Yeah this isn't good…" Sora added.
"I banish Cyber Enhance Dragon from my graveyard to increase Infinity's attack by 500!"

"Now destroy his Synchro Monster!"
"I use my Trap Dark Contract-"
"No you don't! I'm doing exactly the same thing you did! I detach an overlay unit to negate and destroy your Trap!" Ryo detached Cyber Dragon Nova and Reiji's card exploded.

"Damnit!"
"Enjoy this!" Infinity opened its mouth and unleashed a fierce yellow beam which wiped out Siegfried with ease.
Reiji LP: 4000 – 3800
"Direct attack Cyber Dragon!" It charged up a bright blast which hit Reiji in the stomach, knocking him to the ground.
Reiji LP: 3800 – 1700
"Reiji!" Grace yelled.
"I'm fine…. I got hit harder by Yuzu…" Reiji said as he stood up.
"You didn't even bother to activate your Action Field… that could've stopped the attack!" Ryo gloated.
"Maybe but we just got here… and I wanted to give you a fighting chance!" Reiji replied with a smirk.
"This is why I wanted to duel you, Reiji… I knew you wouldn't let me down! I end my turn!"

"Draw! I banish my Swirl Slime from my graveyard to summon a D/D from my hand!"
"Then I negate it!"

"This is turning into a negation battle." Sora said.
"They have to… it's the only way to get an advantage… both are amazing duelists." Grace added.
"I play Dark Contract of the Raven! I add a Ritual Monster to my hand from my deck and now I can Ritual Summonusing Monsters in my graveyard!I add D/D/D Prime Churchill and I banish my Nikola!"
A blue circle appeared around Reiji and his Monster flew into it.
"I Ritual Summon D/D/D Prime Churchill!" It was a slim knight with dark blue amour. He held a giant yellow staff and his helmet had three blue visors which spiralled around.

"When Churchill is Ritual Summoned I can bring a D/D/D back from my graveyard! Siegfried!"

"I tribute my two Monsters to summon D/D/D Doom King Armageddon!"A demonic face on a giant purple crystal structure appeared on the field.
D/D/D Doom King Armageddon ATK: 3000 DEF: 1000 Dark/Fiend/Pendulum/LVL 8/Scale 4
"I attack!" Reiji cried out as Doom King lit up and a dark beam fired from within the crystal at the Xyz Monster. The beam sliced Infinity's tail off before the rest of the Monster exploded.
"I banish Cyber Dragon Shell to gain lifepoints equal to halve of Churchill's attack!"
"What?!"

"He took it still!" cheered Sora.
"I end my turn." Reiji said calmly.
Turn 5

Reiji LP: 1700 Hand: 0
"It was only 200 damage! I draw! I play Cyber Emergency and add my third and final Cyber Dragon to my hand! Now I destroy my Dragon Capture Unit to allow you to take Cyber Dragon and add it to your hand!"
Ryo threw the card across the field and Reiji caught it.
"Now I can draw one more card!"
"Cyber Dragon got thrown away?" Grace questioned.
"No… Ryo doesn't care how he wins, even if it means giving up his cards to the opponent." Sora replied.
"I have just what I need! I play Overload Fusion!"
"No!" Sora and Grace yelled out. The looks on their faces now painted no hope. They knew Reiji was done for. Reiji however remained calm as Ryo continued.
"I banish my two Cyber Dragons along with Cyber Dragon Nova to Fusion Summon!"
The three dragons spun around as Ryo clenched his fists.
"This…. this is true power, Reiji Akaba! I Fusion Summon the one who reigns above all! Cyber End Judgement Dragon!"
From the clouds emerged a dark beam which shot down. From within the beam appeared the large dragon. It sliver dragon with purple amour around its wings with a purple body. It had three heads each with a green gem on their heads.
Cyber End Judgement Dragon ATK: 4000 DEF: 2800 Light/Machine/Fusion/LVL 10
"It's over…." Grace said as she fell to her knees.
"You have no set cards or anything that can help you!"
"You're the brawn but no brains!" Reiji mocked.
"You have no comeback! Cyber End can destroy your Monster without causing damage but then it can attack again. And when it attacks directly it does inflict damage! Wipe it out!"
"I had a Dark Contract in my graveyard you negated, or did you forget?! Dark Contract of Foolish Demands activates by banishing it from my graveyard! I target a Monster and I gain halve of its attack as lifepoints! Your Cyber End is my choice!"
Reiji LP: 1700 – 3700
"So what?! I can still attack twice!"
"Let me finish…. now my Monsters cannot be destroyed this turn but I take 1000 damage at the End Phase."
"So my attack is useless?!" Ryo replied as Cyber End was blocked by a dark wall.
"Amazing!" Grace cheered. "Since it only inflicts damage via a direct attack, Reiji blocked it."
"That was too close…" Sora sighed.
"You wormed your way out of it…. thankfully."
"Thankfully?" Reiji replied.
"Winning in five turns would've been embarrassing. Only a true duelist like yourself deserves the best of ends. I set one card."
"A true duelist wouldn't use cards for war!" Reiji yelled as the pain of his card took effect.
Reiji LP: 3700 - 2700
Turn 6
Ryo LP: 1500 Hand: 0
Reiji LP: 2700 Hand: 1
Reiji drew his card and played it straight away.
"I play Dark Contract with the Swamp King! This Continuous Spell will give me 1000 damage during my next Standby Phase but I'm beating you this time, Ryo! I fuse Armageddon and Genghis in my graveyard by banishing it!"
In the sky a crack of thunder shot down as Reiji made the Fusion pose.
"Appear before me, D/D/D Super Doom King Purple Armageddon!"
Emerging was a beast which was similar to Armageddon; it was the same size and had the face of had long purple wings with a purple orb for a chest. It had a purple dragon attached to its base.

"Now that's a Monster…." Grace said in awe.
"You're ending on a high, Akaba! Show me what it can do!" Ryo yelled with a bright smirk on his face. The duelist who loved pain was throwing the gauntlet down.
"I destroy your Cyber End Judgement Dragon and if I do I inflict damage to you equal to halve of its attack!" Purple Armageddon fired all its energy at Judgement.
"Go Cyber Block!" Ryo used a Trap in response. "If either of us has a Cyber Dragon in our hands then it's Special Summoned to my field and a effect is negated this turn!"
"No! Reiji has one in his hand!"
"He must've expected this!" Sora added.
"Take your Cyber Dragon!" Reiji replied with an annoyed manner. He threw it back to Ryo who smirked.
"And you said I don't respect my Monsters…. appear Cyber Dragon!" The dragon appeared in defence.
Cyber Dragon ATK: 2100 DEF: 1600 Light/Machine/LVL 5
"And now your Fusion-Pendulum is negated!"
"But I'm still attacking your Cyber Dragon!" Doom King fired a rapid purple blast at the Monster, wiping it out. "I have to end my turn…" He knew that was his chance to end this and he failed.
Turn 7
Ryo LP: 1500 Hand: 0
Reiji LP: 2700 Hand: 0
"Draw!" Ryo looked at the card and put his hand on his head and burst out laughing.
"What now?!" Grace yelled.
"This! This card is exactly what I need! Power Bond 2!"
"Power Bond 2? I thought you only had Power Bond?!" Sora replied.
"Power Bond belonged to Sho… we both had it but I threw it away, why should I settle for a worse-off card! I can use material from my graveyard and field and double its attack. I take damage during my End Phase equal to the total attack of the Monster summon but that won't be needed! I fuse Judgement with Cyber Dragon and Infinity!"
"His Fusion and Xyz…." Reiji said to himself as he took a step back, almost scared.
"Appear Chimeratech Rampage Dragon!"
A black block emerged on the field. Three panels opened and three dragon heads made of metal emerged.

"But he still doesn't have enough to end Reiji in one go!" Grace stated.
"I summoned him for a reason! I use its effect! I send a Light Machine Monsters from my deck to gain an additional attack! I send Cyber Dragon Herz! Now my Rampage Dragon, wipe out his Monster!"
Rampage's heads all went inside the core of the body. Replacing them were three red missiles which locked onto Doom King. They fired one after another and landed at the same time. The explosion sent Reiji, Grace, Reira and Sora flying across the street.
Reiji LP: 2700 - 2000
"Once more! End this!" Ryo yelled. Rampage fired more missiles and this time fired directly at the group.
"Reira!" Grace yelled. The young girl looked pale and at the ground, almost as if she was already dead.
The missiles landed in front of them and upon explosion a dust cloud shot through the street with Ryo standing there and smirking.
Reiji LP: 2000 - 0 Ryo Wins
As the dust storm faded there on the ground was Reiji, Grace and Sora. Their clothes were torn and they looked battered and beaten. Ryo walked towards.
"You took it to seven turns; you hit my expectations, Akaba." Ryo said as he saw Grace on top of Reira.
"You oka-" As Grace got off Reira she collapsed to her side. Reira looked at Ryo who was now a looming predator.
"Reira…. go…. I know you can do it…" Reiji said weakly.
"I…. I….."
"Be strong…. find the others." Reiji added as Ryo got closer. Reira looked at him and shut her eyes and ran right past Ryo. To Reiji's surprise Ryo didn't care.
"She won't get anywhere." Ryo said as his duel disk begun to light up.
"Do it…. I have a whole team of people who will carry on this fight…"Reiji replied weakly.
"Then I'll tear through them as well."
"Ryo…. don't!" Sora yelled as he tried to get up. "Leo might still want him!"
"Reiji had that chance but he escaped."
"But he's still his son! Think! You don't like Leo…. you want to be free and independent… he's leverage!"
"Sora….. stop it…." Grace tried to raise her voice but it only came out in a weak monotone.
"You might have a point. Actually…. I have Grace Tyler, the sister of a fugitive on the run and the son of my boss… nice to see you still contribute, Sora." Ryo took a card out from his black coat and aimed it at Grace and Reiji.
"Don't!" Sora yelled.
"I play Cyber Chain!" The Spell Card activated and metal chains surrounded Grace and Reiji then they shot into the sky and attached to a beam, sending Reiji and Grace dangling in the air.
"I know what you want." Sora said.
"You're a minor now, Sora…. you're on Academia's wanted list but…. nowhere near the Lancers. Academia thinks you're irrelevant."
"I will duel you, Ryo…. and I'll end you!" Sora replied with a firm look on his face.
Yuzu
Yuzu, Luna, Yuto, Shingo, Ray and Gloria will still inside the empty building as Ancient One and his forces combed through the streets trying to find them.
"Now what do we do?" Shingo said as he looked out of the window.
"We wait until is clear and then we return." Luna replied. "I'll send a message back to Rio."
Masumi/Gongenzaka
"So where is he?!" Masumi raised her voice as she peaked around a corner.
The two had gone ahead to make sure a part of Reiji's group were not captured but had expected Reiji to not lose. They were hiding behind a wall because of the drones in the sky.
"We might have to go to the Resistance base before them…." Gongenzaka replied.
"I was sent here to help during my time with Academia but it's too hazy… we need Grace."
"The kid is over here!"
"What now?!" Masumi looked over the wall and saw Reira running from soldiers. "Reira?!"
"Without Reiji?" Gongenzaka added as Reira was running with all her might with her bear in hand.
"Let's go." Masumi said as she leapt over the wall and in front of Reira who stopped as did the soldiers. Gongenzaka had no choice but to come out as well.
"Lancers!" said a male Obelisk Blue.
"You won't take Reira." Masumi responded.
"No… we will take all three of you!"
"Fine! We will duel you all!" Gongenzaka replied.
"You won't duel us…. you'll be dueling each other!" added another male.
"Each other?" Masumi questioned.
An Academia solder played a card on his duel disk and it was a familiar one as it was the same as Ryo's. Chains shot from the ground and wrapped the three tight.
"What now?!" Gongenzaka yelled as he tried to wiggle out.
"The coliseum waits!"
