Chapter 6: Battle for the Future Part 1

"Hey everyone, it's me the Toad from the beginning of the story. Now that we've come to the most important part there's a few things that you should know of. This is the chapter of the Mario brothers' origins that explains how they ended up in the "other" world and grew up to the heroes that they are now. But before we jump into that you've probably been wondering who's been reading this entire story to you so far." "Well, it's me Russ T. the famous Toad Town historian. I've moved here to the castle ever since Princess Peach appointed me as the castle's official librarian. There are many books here to read that tell the many tales and secrets of the Mushroom Kingdom. So, without further ado, let's-a go and journey on to the next chapter."

Here it is the moment we've all been waiting for. The battle that set the future of the Mushroom Kingdom to become the place we all know and love as Super Mario Series fans. A sunny afternoon today in the Mushroom Kingdom looks pretty normal for its inhabitants. But far out in the distance a darkness is looming over the horizon from all sides and it's coming FAST...

"Alright Koopa Troops assemble!" said Kamek. "Attack those puny mushroom folk and leave no Toad alive! Those baby Mario brothers must be hidden somewhere, and King Toadstool is too foolish enough to try and hide them from me.

The Koopa Kingdom is marching towards Toad Town quickly with blinding speed. Those mushroom people sure have a tough situation in their hands. One of them we see a in a grassy field graciously picking some flowers when suddenly...

BOOM!

A bullet bill shoots at fast speed from a large airship headed straight towards the heart of Toad Town.

"That doesn't sound good!" said the Toad quickly dropping the flowers running back into the city.

"BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!" goes more airships as they keep on shooting all around the buildings...

"Run everyone run we're being attacked!" said the Toad as he hurried back into the city.

Across the town we see Toads panicking and running around in fear at the danger facing all around them. Most of them are huddled up hiding in their homes while the others are outside trying their best to hide or escape...

"Your Highnesses, they're here!" said a Toad guard. "Attacking from all sides of the city!"

The King and Queen then rushed to the front balcony looking at all the destruction happening down below...

"Send all of our troops out at once." said King Toadstool. "We must not let them get their hands on the baby heroes."

The king then quickly drew his magic scepter as he set out to go fight with his kingdom...

"Be careful my love." said Queen Toadstool. "We must not lose!"

"Let get to work!'" said General Toad of the Mushroom Army Force. "FOR THE KINGDOM!"

"FOR THE KINGDOM!" yelled the soldiers charging into battle.

It's an intense battle waging back and forth between both sides of the two armies. Building after building is crashing down blocking some paths for each team to take a shot. Neither side is letting up though as only one can become victorious. The Mushroom Force Air Squadron is taking to the skies with an assortment of sky powerups...

"Cape Team go north, and Racoon Team go south!" commanded the Air Squadron leader. "Acorn and Tanooki Teams soar behind those airships and take down those koopa troopas!"

"Swish, Slap, Pow!" goes the koopas steering the airships knocked into the air...

Meanwhile, on the ground the land teams are doing just as well...

"Thwip, Thwip, Thwip!" goes the Fire and Ice power up teams combining their attacks scoring heaps of 1-UPs.

The hammer squad is flanking around the back taking out the groups of sledge and hammer bros with a flurry of hammers...

It seems like the battle is favoring toward the mushrooms when suddenly...

"CHARGING CHUCK SMASH!" goes the chucksters with a surprise attack slamming and knocking back the soldiers. "STRIKE GOES THE CHUCK!"

The magikoopas then appear out of thin air and star transforming the soldiers into different objects! Looks like the battle is turning towards the side of evil which is not good. All hope seems lost when King Toadstool quickly comes out with a surprise attack of his own...

"Take that magikoopas and that, and that, and that!" said King Toadstool using his scepter to counteract the magic.

"We got your back your highness!" said Chief Yoshi. "Charge my friends gobble up those dastardly fiends!"

"YOSHI!" said the Yoshi clan as they swallowed enemy after enemy.

Wow, what a battle raging on in this land! There is however one piece that is still missing. The reason a battle of this magnitude is even taking place! Where could the Super Mario Bros. be...?

Author's Note: Dun, dun, dun, the battle has begun! Chapter 6 is here very quick. What craziness is going on with these two forces of good and evil am I right? I decided to make the battle into 2 parts moving over to the next chapter since a lot is happening. By the way where is the Marios during all this action? Find out in Chapter 7!
