Chapter 7: Battle for the Future Part 2
Previously on Super Mario Bros Origins: The Real Story...
"Keep on fighting everyone we can beat these Koopa stoopas!" said King Toadstool.
"Aaaargh!" screamed Kamek. "What is taking you dimwitted minions so long! Find those babies now!"
In the last chapter we saw this tremendous battle start to kick off and now both parties are really pushing up the heat. However, the same question remains to be answered. Where are the Super Mario Brothers...?
"We need to hurry my love!" said Mr. Mario. "Do we have everything?"
"Yes, let's head to the castle." said Mrs. Mario.
The bros' parents knowing that this would be their last day here in their homeland were making some last-minute preparations. They are gathering a few pieces of memories to remind them of the Mushroom Kingdom for when they travel to the whole new world...
"I hope they get here soon." said Queen Toadstool clutching the princess in her arms while looking at the destruction down below.
Arriving in Toad Town the Marios secretly made their way to the castle while trying to avoid making their presence known...
"You've made it safely oh thank the stars!" said Queen Toadstool.
"Mama Mia what a disaster!" said Mr. Mario looking out at the partially destroyed city.
"I hope everyone is alright." said Mrs. Mario.
"They're strong warriors." said Queen Toadstool. "I have trust in them."
"So did you figure out how to save us?" said Mr. Mario wanting to waste no time.
"Yes, indeed we did." said Queen Toadstool. "We are expecting some very special friends to arrive here right at this very moment."
And with that a bright sparkling glow magically appeared in front of the group revealing seven powerful stars known as the star spirits...
"Hello, I am Eldstar leader of the star spirits." said the star greeting the duo. "These are my friends Mamar, Skolar, Muskular, Misstar, Klevar, and Kalmar the other six.
"Greetings." said the others in unison.
"As the guardians of all wishes and knowledge in the known universe we also have the power to see the future." explained Eldstar. "We were foretold by the universe when all these events will have succumbed to pass and were waiting for the right time when we were to be needed."
"The future is fated to happen a certain way and mustn't be interfered or altered in by any means." said Skolar.
"When your sons were born it was our given duty to care for their protection and the future to help it stay on the right path." said Mamar.
"I am known to be pure hearted and strong just as I felt your children were." said Misstar. "That's why they were chosen to become the saviors of the Mushroom Kingdom."
"That makes us feel a lot better." said Mrs. Mario.
"So, as you can see for your own safety and your children to fulfill their destiny you understand the given circumstances." said Eldstar.
"Anything for our home." said Mr. Mario.
Meanwhile in Toad Town...
"Halt koopa troops!" said Kamek. "I sense very powerful magic nearby."
Conjuring up his crystal ball Kamek used its magic to see the presence of the star spirits and baby Mario Bros...
"Hee Hee Hee Hee, I have found you!" laughed Kamek. "Quickly troops to the Mushroom Castle NOW!"
"Oh no they're here!" said King Toadstool. "Hurry everyone to the castle we have to stop them!"
It's a race to see who gets to Mushroom Castle first. Since he knows of many shortcuts of course the king and his party arrive their first. He quickly runs inside to the top deck where the group is residing...
"My queen you all are alright!" said King Toadstool. "Hello star spirts welcome to the castle."
"Greetings." said the spirits.
"How is everyone?" said Queen Toadstool.
"Still in fighting shape but the koopas are very restless and are right behind us." said King Toadstool.
"Then we need to hurry." said Mrs. Mario. "What's the plan?"
"Our magic on its own is not powerful enough to send you to a new world." said Eldstar. "But with the young princess's magic it should be possible."
"Do you have any idea what is known of this new world?" said Mr. Mario.
"I am afraid not." said Eldstar. "However, we have hope you will be accustomed to it with no problem. In this new world you will be given entirely different lives and have all memories erased of this land."
"That way there will be no way possible for us to find you or that evil wizard." said King Toadstool.
"We are ready." said the parents.
"In that- started the king.
BOOM! launched a bullet bill right into the castle.
"You best bring those babies to me for your own good!" shouted Kamek.
"Go everyone now!" said King Toadstool. "The rest of us will try to hold them back."
"This way there is a secret back exit that will get us out fast!" said Queen Toadstool.
"Thank you for everything your highness." said Mrs. Mario. "We will miss you all.
"Good luck Super Mario Bros." said the king giving one last smile to the baby heroes.
The group followed the queen out the secret exit while King Toadstool headed back into battle with a little surprise...
"Here this should be a safe distance far away from being detected." said Queen Toadstool.
The queen and her party headed to the back outskirts of Toad Town and now it is time to say goodbye to our friends for now...
"Thanks for everything again Queen Toadstool." said Mrs. Mario. "We wish you all good luck for the future.
"Same here." said Mr. Mario.
She then walked up to the baby heroes and held their hands...
"Mario and Luigi may you find all the love, strength and courage needed to save our land upon your return." said Queen Toadstool. "Always stay true to yourselves and have faith in each other. I will pray to the stars above of your memory every day until my last. Good luck my saviors."
"See you soon Super Mario Brothers." said the star spirits.
The stars then joined hands and raised to the skies glowing with a magical colorful light. Baby Peach joined as well together as one a radiant pink glow of her own to show. The Mario Family then faded into thin air where the magic will take them to who knows? Off the four set on a whole new adventure journeying into the very unknown...
