"What is this?!" Noro yelled to Shark as he arrived at the coliseum.
"Troops found these Lancers and arrested them before bringing them here." Shark answered.
"I know that but why haven't they been dueled and carded?!"
"You gave no direct orders. This is what Ryo said if they were captured."
"I'm in charge now! Of course you should duel them!" Noro slammed back.
"As I said, there we no orders for me to follow so I went on previous instructions Ryo gave."
"You're meant to use common sense! This whole coliseum… no wonder Leo made me oversee Xyz; clearly Ryo has let things come too far!" Noro replied.
"Really?"
Noro turned around and saw Ryo arrive inside the coliseum.
"Ryo…. your back." Noro stuttered.
"I just came back with Reiji Akaba and Grace Tyler while Sora is now a card." Ryo threw the carded Sora to Noro who looked at it.
"Very good job… but why have you caught Reiji and Grace?"
"I dueled Reiji and won…. I was about to turn him into a card until I worked it out. Gloria is still out there along with the fact Leo is Reiji's father… these are pawns I can use!"
"No! You duel them, beat them, card them!"
"But there are other things we can do! See them suffer… use them! The potential is endless, so no, I will not card them… they will serve my entertainment!"
"You aren't saying what I think you're saying?" Noro replied.
"This is mutiny, Noro."
"You don't have the people behind you! All soldiers here are loyal to Academia!"
"I was waiting for you to say that!" Ryo smirked as at least fifty Obelisk Blue students entered.
"Traitors!" Noro took a step back to Shark.
"This is our declaration of war on Academia!"
"But why?! He's promising a utopia for us all!" Noro added.
"I've promised these guys more freedom! No more rules!"
"Without rules, an army can't operate! Shark, duel Ryo and end this!" Noro ordered.
"We should leave!" Shark replied.
"YOU WILL FOLLOW MY ORDERS!"
"I….. it's not the right thing to do! Now let's go!"
"You're all traitors!" Noro hit back. Shark looked over and saw the exit door.
"What will it be, Shark? Run or fight?" Ryo mocked.
Shark gritted his teeth and left Noro as he ran out, leaving Noro to face the army.
"Well…. um…."
"Duel me, Noro!" Ryo confidently stated.
"Maybe I was a bit….. harsh on you, Ryo…. maybe I can offer some fresh insight…."
"Just a spineless snake ordering others around, if you can't lead by example… you're worthless! Academia rules state all non-duelists should be carded without a fight…."
"So you'll let me live…? I can do many things…. cleaning… I can- "
"I have better things to do." Ryo took out his duel disk and quickly hit the button which emitted the purple light, carding Noro.
As the card dropped to the floor the army cheered. The card showed Noro in a panicked position at the moment of his carding.
"Now then people…. let's go flush out the rest of Academia!"
Marina
Marina took a break while trying to find Gloria. She was talking to Edo who was contacting her via her duel disk.
"What's the news, Edo?"
"Nothing, the base is well guarded with lots of traps. Getting Faker is not going to happen at the moment."
"And what about Shark?"
"He got recalled by Ryo of all people. He was saying something about preparing the cells."
"Cells? Has Ryo caught the Lancers?"
"I have no idea, Ryo doesn't communicate." Edo replied.
"Orders come from Noro now…. has Ryo gone rouge?"
"Last thing we need is another Roget, Marina could you contact Noro and see what is happening, I'll continue to stand guard."
"Understood." Marina replied as she hung up.
Marina then heard footsteps running in her direction. She activated her duel disk.
"Who's there?!"
Out of the shadows stepped an out of breath Shark, fresh from running from the coliseum.
Yuzu
Ray, Yuzu along with Yuto, Luna, Shingo and a handcuffed Gloria had now left their hiding spot,
Ray was determined to find Yuzar along with Yuzu while the others wanted to return to the base. Luna was behind Gloria, making sure she didn't run off.
"Fine, then leave us." Yuzu said to Yuto.
"We can't beat Yuzar… I mean Ancient One… We should get back."
"No, he's still Yuzar." Ray replied firmly. "And I'm not running anymore."
"Fine." Luna spoke. "You know where the base is."
"Now you're being the fools!" Shingo added.
"We have to do this." Yuzu said.
"Fine… but can we get moving… I don't really want to be hanging around here…." Gloria looked around as he spoke.
"Just be safe." Yuto exclaimed.
"You as well." Yuzu replied. "We won't be long."
30 Minutes Later
Marina
"Of course he has…." Marina sighed as she sat down and put hands on her head.
"We should return to Heartland Tower and contact Academia." Shark suggested.
"Yes and Yuzar. We can easily take back the students but Ryo… fighting for himself…. that's going to be hard."
"But he's just one duelist?"
"I know and I'm sure one of us will beat him but I didn't want to lose any more people…. even though Ryo is a jerk."
As Marina finished speaking, from within the shadows Shark saw a figure leap out and before he could react a red whip wrapped itself around Shark's wrist.
"What is this?!" Shark shouted.
"Who's there?!" Marina yelled. From the shadows walked out Rio in her cloak.
"You…." Shark stuttered.
"Hello, Brother."
Resistance Base
"Rio went where?" Yuto exclaimed.
"She went out after losing to Shun." Anna replied.
The group had returned to the base and Gloria locked up in prison with Mina.
"And letting Ray and Yuzu go after Yuzar, alone? Why?" Ruri added.
"There was no stopping them." Luna answered.
"But we have another Academia solider behind bars, it's still something." Haruto spoke with relief.
"Why would Rio leave though?" Yuto said.
"She…. she went to find Shark…. it was the duel with Shun that made her go out." Ruri replied.
"Great… what did you do this time…?" Yuto looked to Shun.
Rio
"Rio…. you dare show yourself here?"
"I'm bringing you home, Ryoga. Like it or not."
"This Duel Anchor…. you're stopping me from running away… as if I would do that!" Shark hit back.
"You!" Rio pointed to Marina. "What exactly did your school do to him?!"
"I'll let you two fight it out." Marina replied. "Shark, finish her and head back to base." Marina walked off and away from the two.
"Fine, Ryoga…. you've got a lot to explain!" Rio yelled as she activated her Resistance duel disk.
"Agreed!" Ryoga replied as he activated his Academia duel disk.

"You know I still remember your deck right, Rio?" Shark said smugly.

"Spider Shark can decrease my Monster's attack by 1000 when I attack it… but that will only increase Aurora by more! Aurora go!" Aurora fired an icy blast from its mouth causing the Xyz Monster to be destroyed.

Flashback – Months Ago – Clover Duel School
"Good job, Brother!" Rio yelled from the stands.
Shark had finished a duel with an opponent from a rival duel school, Rio was watching in a white jacket and white skirt.
"That was almost too easy." Shark said to himself as he left the arena and headed back to the stands to Rio.
"One more win today and we go ahead of Spade by three points!" Rio exclaimed as Shark reached her.
"Yeah and my duel with Shun next week could decide it all." Shark replied. "I need to return this duel disk back to the school cupboard, I'll be right back." Shark stood up and left the hall.
Rio's attention fell back to the next duel but something didn't feel right as time went on.
"Where is he?" Rio thought as she went to look.
In the hallway she saw the duel disk on the floor with the deck removed.
"Brother?!" Rio to the duel disk and looked around. "Ryoga!"

"You were gone! And after that… a week or so later…. Academia attacked!"
"Yeah, I was recruited!"
"Brainwashed more like!"
"I know how it is, Rio! I'm part of the stronger side now!"

Nightmare leapt over Aurora Wing and slashed at Rio's chest, knocking her to the ground.

"Damnit…." Rio said to herself as she got back up. "I play a Trap! Ice Formation! I summon a Water Winged Beast Monster from my deck with less attack then the damage I just took. I summon Gale Eagle!"

"My Field Spell reduces its attack but then Ice Shift doubles it!"

"I end my turn with a set card."
"That hit you gave me…. you never ever struck me like that before…. don't you see what you're doing to your own sister?!"
"I don't care!"
"Just snap out of it!"
"Let me tell you how it happened from my perspective and you'll maybe understand then." Shark replied.
Flashback
As Shark was walking back with the duel disk a figure in a long black coat appeared from the side.
"Nice duel today." said the figure.
"Oh… thanks."
"I've been watching you for a while now…. you seem like the best duelist in this rotten dimension."
"Dimension? What are you talking about?"
"My name is Ryo and you're coming with me!" Ryo rolled down his sleeve and hit his duel disk, causing the two to vanish."
….
"Where am I?!" Shark yelled as he saw strapped to a table in a laboratory. Ryo and Leo walked in and Shark looked up.
"This is a good find, Ryo. He will do nicely."
"With respect, Professor…. why do we need a Xyz user for a commander?"
"We need someone with knowledge of the dimension plus having a strong duelist in our ranks is never a bad thing." Leo replied.
"Invasion? What the hell is going on?! Who are you?!"
"This is the Fusion Dimension, the superior dimension." Ryo replied.
"I have no idea what you're talking about!"
"You don't need to." Leo answered back. "But we've looked at some mind scans we took… it seems you need us as much as need you."
"Now what are you talking about?"
"You want something more with your life! You want to be a strong duelist with the fans looking up to you. But you know deep down you could never make it as a professional!" Ryo mocked.
"Don't lie to me! I know I will be a pro!"
"No. You know that even if your duel school wins, the chances of you making it are very slim! You're just a big fish in a small pond!"
"Shut up!"
"With us, we can train you to not only be stronger but feared!"
"I don't want to! Let me go!" Shark tried to break the chains but to no avail. Leo looked up to the gallery above and there was Cobra.
"Start the mind alteration." Leo ordered.

"See, you remember you didn't want this!" Rio pleaded.
"But that's where I was wrong! They were right!" Shark replied with glee. "I have it all now and I'll show that by making you into a card!"

"No! I just want my brother back unharmed! I use Zerofyne's effect!"

"I negate all card effects on your field and Zerofyne gains 300 attack for each face up card on the field except herself!" Zerofyne flew up high and rained down ice shards onto card on Shark's field, turning them grey.

"Attack, Nightmare!"
"I use my Trap Escape Lure! I change the attack target to another and halve the damage! You're target is Bahamut Shark!" Zerofyne fired more ice shards and this time slammed into Bahamut, destroying it.

"I'm not stopping there I play I use my Quick Play Spell Resistance-Rank Up-Magic! This ranks Zerofyne up by one rank and gives the new Monster 800 attack and it attaches as an overlay unit!"

"Appear rank five, Ice Spirit – Frost Blade!" A light blue Monster appeared shaped like a spirit. It had a long flowing tail and had sharp icicles attacked to frozen arms.

"But now it's doubled!" Rio hit back.
"You can't double zero!" Shark smirked. Rio realized he was right and a sweat drop ran down her cheek.
"But I've ready for this regardless! I use my Trap Anti-Fusion Device, I destroy Red Paladin!"
"What?!" snapped Shark as a grey and yellow machine formed around the Fusion Monster, exploding it from within.
"I use Dark Knight's effect! I add Frost Blade as an overlay unit and gain its attack!"
"My Counter Trap stops that! Xyz Block! I remove an overlay unit to negate the activation of an effect and destroy it!"

"Dark Knight is no more!" Rio yelled as a flare fired at Shark's Xyz Monster, destroying it.
"My two Monsters….."
"This isn't your dueling style!" Rio replied. "You would've had a way out of that if you weren't being controlled!"
"I'm not being controlled! I have been given the power I always wanted! Something I could never get from you or the others! And I have all I need… I use the Quick Play Submerge Fusion!"
"Another Fusion Spell?!"
"I banish one Xyz and one Fusion Monster from my graveyard to Fusion Summon! I banish Dark Knight and Paladin to make a new Silent Honour Red Paladin!"Water burst up from the floor and Shark's second copy of his Fusion appeared.

"No…." Rio now fearing for her life took a step back. "Brother!"
"END IT!" Shark yelled as Red Paladin launched its spear into Frost Blade. The explosion sent Rio high into the sky before crash landing hard onto the ground.
Rio LP: 2000 – 0 Shark Wins
The duel field faded as Shark looked on. Rio was injured the very moment she hit the ground. As Shark prepared to turn his very own sister into a card he could see two sliver rings roll out of Rio's pocket.
"What…. is that….?" Shark wondered as his mind forgot about carding and shifted to the rings.
"That….are the rings we got at that carnival….. Argh!" As Shark remembered he fell to the ground holding his head.
"Brother…." Rio stuttered in pain.
"No! Leave me alone!" Shark shouted back as the vision of the carnival got worse. "No!"
Shark turned around and ran away to avoid the thoughts in his head. All Rio could do was watch as he departed.
Yuzu
"Maybe this wasn't such a good idea…" Ray said to Yuzu.
The two had been searching but Ancient One and his army had disappeared.
"They were looking for us and now when we want to find them… we can't!" Yuzu moaned.
"Then let's head back." Ray responded, depressed she couldn't find her best friend.
….
The two could see the base in the distance. The watch tower was a welcome sight.
"Yuzu! I sense something…"
"What is it, Warrior?" Yuzu asked.
"Yes, I sense it as well." Samurai joined in.
Yuzu and Ray looked up towards a roof. She couldn't see anything but trusted the spirits.
"Show yourself!" Yuzu yelled.
A black blur leapt from the roof and onto the ground. The figure in the cloak pulled down his hood.
"Well… this is quite the turn of events." said the male, revealing himself to be Edo.
"Edo….." Yuzu paused as she said his name.
"It seems my hiding skills need work." Edo mocked to himself.
"I've been waiting for this for a long time!" Yuzu snarled as she quickly activated her duel disk.
"So sudden!"
"Yuzu?" Ray tried to get her attention but Yuzu had none of it.
"You know exactly what this is about, Edo! Now duel me!"
"Well I'm Academia so…."
"No! You carded my dad!" Yuzu snapped.
"Did I…. I don't recall….?"
"Don't you dare….. DON'T YOU DARE!"
