Disclaimer: I do Not own Avatar: the last Air-bender or it's associated properties.
It had been a few weeks since the Gaang arrived at the North Pole and everyone was enjoying themselves in their own way. Katara had quickly grown to being Master Pakku's top student, Sokka was now close friends with Princess Yue, Aang was having fun enjoying the Water Tribe culture and atmosphere, and Dijin was now close friends with Master Pakku the two talking and trading ideas on occasion.
Right now, currently all of Master Pakku's students including Aang and Katara were all seated in some Ice-bleachers someone made as they watched an anticipating sparing match unfold.
Standing across from one another on the training grounds were both Master Pakku and Dijin.
Behind Dijin was a pile of boulders that was collected prior to the match to make it as even as possible.
Master Pakku smirked at Dijin before getting into a stance forming his right hand into a knife shape and keeping his left-hand at his waist while he bent his knees slightly. Master Pakku then spoke saying "I'm not going to go easy on you just because we've become friendly with each other."
Dijin got into a stance of his own with him having his right fist turned sideways and held next his face while his left fist was at his waist and also turned sideways with him standing in a horse stance. Dijin then gave Master Pakku a smirk of his own saying "And I plan on winning this little match of ours so I'm not gonna hold back either."
The two benders just stood still until a single snowflake dropped down between the two and then the fight was on.
The one to make the first move was Pakku as he quickly turned the snow next to him into water and waved his right hand at Dijin sending a stream of water at him.
Dijin quickly responded by slamming his fists together bending two of the boulders from his pile creating a shield as the water hit the rocks and quickly turned to Ice. However, the Ice covering the rock started to move towards Dijin so he punched his right fist forward sending the ice-covered boulders towards Pakku.
Pakku saw the boulders coming so he used the ice that was on them to change their direction slightly as they quickly landed on either side of Pakku creating a small cloud of snow dust.
Dijin didn't give Pakku any time to retaliate as he quickly raised his forearm up bending another boulder in front of himself before punching said boulder shattering it and sending a large amount of debris at Master Pakku.
Master Pakku just rotated his arms upwards while bending his wrists creating an Ice-wall to block the hail of small rocks but then he was surprised as Dijin came crashing through his Ice-wall wielding a pair of rock gauntlets.
Master Pakku quickly backed up while throwing his hand at Dijin and curling his fingers. Then the snow next to him turned into water and was sent straight at Dijins legs which were instantly frozen.
Dijin retaliated by punching both his fists forward sending his rock gauntlets at Pakku encasing his arms in earth trapping them. Next Dijin waved his arms behind himself gathering his remaining boulders before he slowly brought his hands together with the boulders all combining into a large one. Dijin then threw his arms down sending the large boulder towards Pakku.
Pakku's eyes hardened before he rotated his body and did two rotating side-kicks in which the snow turned into water-blades forming tall thin arcs as they sliced through the rock easily and landed harmlessly behind Pakku. Pakku then stomped his right foot sending a stream of Ice-spikes towards Dijin that stopped just before they reached his neck.
Pakku then smirked saying "That was a good spar Dijin. You are very skilled... for an Earth-bender at least." Master Pakku then gave him a cheeky grin as he laughed.
Dijin just smirked as he said "Instead of gloating over there how about you look behind you."
Master Pakku raised an eyebrow before turning around and gasping while jumping back because behind him was a large amount of Earth-spikes that could have impaled him at any moment.
Dijin smirked again saying "Looks like this match is a draw." before he unbent the earth from Pakku's arms freeing him.
Master Pakku just smiled and said "So, it seems." as he walked over to Dijin freeing him as well.
Master Pakku then stood next to Dijin as he addressed his students saying "As you can see, even the greatest of masters can be bested if their opponent is smart or skilled enough." He then looked at his students and said "Now, who wants to spar next?"
Katara instantly raised her hand saying "I do Master Pakku!"
Master Pakku smiled as he said "I should have known you would Katara." he then looked at the others saying "Anyone else?"
One of the Water Tribe boys stood up with a determined gaze as he said "I'll spar with her."
Master Pakku just said "Good, good, then let's get started.
It wasn't long however, before Katara had beaten almost every student Master Pakku had in which now she was currently facing off against his last student.
As the two faced off against each other the young man trembled slightly after witnessing Katara demolish the entire class. However, he quickly schooled himself and waved his arms in a circle in front of himself creating an orb of water out of the snow before turning the water into an ice-ball. He then thrusted his hands forward throwing the Ice-ball at Katara.
Katara just smirked and raised her hands melting the Ice-ball as she turned around in a full circle and then waved her arms upwards sending a huge wave at water at the young Water-bender. Katara then clenched her fists freezing the large wave and trapping her opponent high in the air.
Katara straightened her stance and pushed her hands down in front of herself to calm her Chi as Master Pakku walked forward saying "Nice try, Pupil Sangok. A couple more years of training and you might be ready to fight a sea-sponge." Master Pakku then turned around with a frown and pushed his right hand down turning the ice-wave into water and making Sangok fall on his butt.
Master Pakku then looked at all his students who were defeated by Katara each having varying degrees of injuries. He then spoke saying "Would anyone care for a rematch with Katara?"
All of the students groaned or shook their heads at the prospect while Master Pakku just chuckled and turned his attention towards Katara and said "Katara, you've advanced more quickly than any student I've ever trained. You have proven that with fierce determination, passion, and hard work, you can accomplish anything." Master Pakku gained another frown as he looked over at Aang who was playing with Momo and not paying attention as Pakku said "Raw talent alone is not enough."
Dijin just sighed at Aang while Katara was a little upset at Aang's nonchalant attitude and quickly bent a snow-ball before she threw it at his Head getting his attention while Master Pakku said "Pupil Aang."
Aang quickly stood up and said "Yes, Master Pakku?"
Master Pakku continued to frown as he said "Care to step in the sparring circle? I figure since you have time to play with house pets, you've must have already mastered Water-bending."
Aang just replied with "I wouldn't say mastered but check this out!" Aang the rotated in a full circle bending the snow around himself until he resembled a snow-man making Momo tackle him.
The three benders in front of him just frowned at his actions before Master Pakku said "Well, since that trick of yours was so good, how about we try that new training idea Dijin was telling me about."
Dijin gained an evil smirk saying "Should I go get the Tiger-seals?"
Aang paled remembering that was only one part of Dijin's idea before he quickly unbent the snow from around himself standing straight saying "I'm Sorry Master Pakku! I'll be more serious from now on."
Master Pakku smirked before saying "Good." he then looked at Dijin saying "Hold off for now but be ready in case we get a lazy student."
Dijin just looked at Aang with smirk saying "You bet."
Aang just felt a chill go down his spine as he now understood why Bumi didn't have Dijin train his soldiers.
After Master Pakku finished his lesson the most unthinkable thing started to happen. All across the North Pole it had begun to rain black snow. However, everyone soon realized it wasn't snow at all but soot.
Dijin bent down and grabbed a handful of snow and looked at the blackened powder before glaring at the darkened sky and saying ominously "War is here."
Aang looked at him in shock before he asked "What do you mean?"
Katara then looked at the sky as well and with trepidation she said "The Fire Nation is coming. The soot in the air is proof enough. Sokka and I have seen this before... when the Fire Nation raided our village."
Suddenly the three benders heard the sounds of war drums being beaten as Sokka came running down to them from the palace saying "Princess Yue and her Father have called an emergency meeting! They want all four of us to be there."
The three nodded their heads and started to run up the stairs to the palace as Princess Yue made her way down to Sokka with a distressed look.
Sokka seeing her upset stopped running and shouted after the three benders saying "Go on ahead I'll meet you there!"
The three nodded their heads again before continuing into the palace.

After a few minutes The Gaang all had made it Inside the palace throne room along with every available man and teen be they bender or warrior.
Everyone sat and listened to the chief as he explained the situation saying "The day we have feared for so long has arrived... The Fire Nation is on our doorstep. It is with great sadness I call my family here before me, knowing well that some of these faces are about to vanish from our tribe... But they will never vanish from our hearts. Now, as we approach the battle for our existence, I call upon the great Spirits..." he then spread his arms out wide before shouting "Spirit of the Ocean, Spirit of the Moon, be with us!" The Chief paused for a moment for his words to sink in before he spoke again saying "I'm going to need volunteers for a dangerous mission... but be warned many of you will not return"
Sokka stood up with a fierce look shouting "Count me in!"
Katara instantly stood up as well Shouting "What are you doing Sokka!?"
Sokka just glared at his sister saying "What I have to.
Katara threw her arm to side saying "No you aren't! Volunteering for a suicide mission isn't something you have to do!"
However, before she could argue further the Chief spoke up again saying "Those who wish to volunteer come forward to receive my mark."
After hearing that announcement Sokka just walked past his sister with a determined frown on his face.
Katara was about to follow him until Dijin grabbed her shoulder saying "I'll take care of this. He won't get hurt as long as I'm around." He then walked forward to join the others to receive the Chiefs mark as Katara just watched in worry.
Once Dijin was in line behind Sokka he noticed the entire time Sokka and Princess Yue would exchange longing glances at one another. Then when it came to Sokka getting his mark, Princess Yue couldn't hide the tears going down her cheeks when she saw him receive it.
As Dijin approached the Chief and got his own mark he now understood why Sokka was risking his life like he was. He was heartbroken.

Outside the palace Aang, Katara, and Dijin were standing by the stairs looking out over the city as the Chief approached them.
Once the Chief was next to them, he spoke saying "The stillness before battle is always unbearable... Such quiet dread."
Dijin spoke up saying "When I fought my first battle there was a stillness in the air just like this. My commander promised us that if they just believed in what we fought for everything would be alright. I now know war is never that simple."
Aang after hearing the two warriors talk spoke next saying "I wasn't there when the Fire Nation attacked my people. I'm gonna make a difference this time."
Aang then stared at the ocean with a determined frown while the Chief looked at Dijin and said "Dijin, could you come with me. I wish to speak with you along with the other men who volunteered."
Dijin just nodded his head saying "Of course." The Chief then began walking towards the warrior's barracks with Dijin following him.
xxLine Breakxx
Inside the barracks the Chief along with Master Pakku had everyone who volunteered gathered in a large group as he stood in front of them.
The Chief stepped forward before saying "Men, you'll be infiltrating the Fire Nation Navy. That means you'll all need one of these uniforms..."
The Chief then stepped to the side letting a young Water Tribe Warrior walk up wearing a Fire Nation Navy uniform only it had a major design flaw which Sokka couldn't help but laugh out loud at.
The young Water Tribe Warrior glared at Sokka saying "What's your problem?"
Sokka just shrugged his shoulders and walked to the front saying "Since you asked... Fire Nation Navy uniforms don't look like this." Sokka then patted the armor mockingly before continuing "They don't have shoulder spikes anymore and the whole outfit is more streamlined." Sokka then pulled on the left large shoulder spike making it bounce like a spring board.
The young warrior upset at being put down in front of everyone and by an outsider no less got in Sokka's face saying "What are you talking about? These are real Fire Navy uniforms from real Fire Nation soldiers. How would a southern neanderthal know anything? All you know how to do is get picked off by the Fire Nation."
Sokka pissed at the jab leaned in the young warriors face as well saying "When did you get them? 100 years ago? I bet I could get a modern uniform faster than you can tie your sarashi!"
The Chief spoke up to try and prevent more arguing saying "The uniforms are 85 years old to be exact."
The young warrior ignored the chief and just continued his rant saying "How can we even trust this guy? Such bold talk from a new recruit who hasn't even shown his worth in battle."
Dijin having had enough of the young warrior's attitude finally shouted "Enough!" Dijin then marched over to the young warrior and shouted in his face saying "Tell me your name soldier!"
The young warrior still thinking he was in charge said "I'm not telling y-"
He was cut off by Dijin who punched him in the stomach so hard he fell to his knees.
The Chief was going to interfere but Master Pakku stopped him saying "Let him be. The boy needs to be humbled. Especially now with war coming."
The Chief realizing Pakku was right stepped back and watched the scene unfold.
Dijin was glaring down at the young warrior and said "We are all heading into battle and we might not make it back today but here you stand insulting your fellow warriors. Well, let me tell something boy."
Dijin then grabbed the young man by his uniform collar and growled in his face saying "I have seen and led men into battle and I have seen those same men burned alive by the people at your doorstep. I can even personally vow that some of those men who died took my place when it should have been me."
Dijin quickly threw the young warrior on the ground before he said "So, you remember that when you insult the people who are meant to have your back and they aren't there to save you."
The young warrior just sat on the ground trembling and looked at the warriors surrounding him and they all looked back at him in shame.
The Chief seeing that none of the men there trusted the young warrior now stepped forward saying "I'm sorry Hahn but you're off the mission."
The now identified Hahn quickly stood up and looked at the Chief in shock as he said "But why!? I don't understand!"
The Chief shook his head as he said "Sokka is a fellow warrior who pledged his very life to protect our home and his fellow warriors beside him and you spat on that sacrifice with your words. No man here trusts you to defend them when the time comes. To be honest Hahn I expected better from my future son-in-law but now I'm even starting to reconsider that as well."
Hahn could only stare in disbelief as everything he knew started crumbling around him before he was escorted out of the barracks.
As Hahn was led away Master Pakku tapped the Chief's shoulder and whispered something in his ear before the Chief nodded and approached Dijin saying "Dijin, I'm afraid I have a huge favor to ask of you."
Dijin just faced the Chief as he said "Whatever you need. I'll do what I can to help."
The Chief looked at Dijin seriously before saying "Master Pakku has informed me that you are the Right Hand of Omashu in the Earth Kingdom, correct?"
Dijin just replied "Yes, that's right."
The Chief then bowed to the waist at him saying "Dijin, please would you take on the responsibility of being our commander for this attack."
Dijin slightly shocked at the request said "But I'm an Earth-bender and an outsider why would anyone listen to me?"
Master Pakku walked forward saying "While it is true that you are an Earth-bender and an outsider, you have on more than one occasion shown that you have a talent for battle strategy and I can personally vouch for your combat skills."
Dijin looked at the two men before looking at all of the warriors present and they all nodded their heads at him, silently saying they would follow his command. He then looked at the Chief and clasped his right fist in his left hand before bowing and saying "I humbly accept your request Chieftain and I hope I can honor the trust you have given me."
The Chief just smiled and said "I think my trust is well placed. Speaking of trust..." The Chief then made his way over to Sokka as he said "Sokka I actually have an important job for you that requires you to be off the mission as well."
Sokka instantly put off by the idea that he wouldn't be fighting with everyone else said "Why!? I made the same pledge as everyone else here!"
The Chief just had a serious frown as he said "The job is guarding my daughter or does that not satisfy you?" the Chief then gave him a knowing look while Sokka just awkwardly rubbed his head saying "Uh... No. that sounds perfect actually."
The Chief nodded his head saying "I thought it might."
Dijin just smiled at his friend before he got a serious look and started to command men to bring him some supplies. He had a war to win.

About an hour later Dijin had every bender or warrior who would be fighting gathered by the wall near the entrance to the city. He was currently standing on small Ice platform with some charts and maps getting ready to address the men he would be leading into battle.
Over to the side the Chief, Master Pakku, Katara, and Aang were standing waiting for Dijin to speak along with the men.
Dijin looked at all the faces in front of him trying to make sure he could remember as many as possible before he spoke saying "Today is a day that you have all dreaded would come. The Fire Nation is here and they won't leave until the North Pole in is ruins. I however, plan to crush their dreams of domination and replace them with nightmares of their defeat this day!"
The Water Tribe men all chanted in unison saying "HAROO! HAROO!"
Dijin then walked over to the charts he had made saying "And we're going to start here." He then pointed at the first chart showing a crudely drawn schematic of a Fire Nation Naval ship. "We are going to send in six teams of four Water-benders to sabotage as many ships as we can before they can get their trebuchets into firing range of the city."
One of the many benders and warriors spoke up asking "How are such small teams going to sabotage such a large number of ships?"
Dijin answered smoothly saying "I have a reliable source that has given me information on a structural weakness that the Fire Nation ships have."
Dijin then pointed at the front of the ship on the schematic before saying "The Fire Nation focuses most of their armor work at the front of the ship so they can ram into enemy ships or obstacles easier." Dijin then pointed at the propellers in the back of the ship saying "Because of this the armor and structural integrity are very weak around the propellers which makes them our target. So, the plan is this, those six teams will travel underwater using the Water-bubble technique and destroy the ships propellers stopping them from advancing on the city."
The men began to murmur again agreeing with the plan as Dijin flipped to his next chart showing a map of the city and the ocean. Dijin then pointed at certain spots within the city as he spoke up again saying "We'll have battalions of both benders and warriors placed at key areas of interest should the worst happen and the Fire Nation breaches the wall. Also, for good measure I've placed piles of earth and boulders in those same key spots so I can aid anybody who needs it." Next Dijin pointed at the wall on the map saying "The remaining forces will stay down here to guard the wall while another six teams of benders will join me on top of the wall fighting off any attacks that the ships might throw at us." Dijin paused to let his words sink in before he said "Does anyone have any objections?"
The whole crowd remained silent before Dijin shouted "Then let's show the Fire Nation why Water is superior over Fire!"
The whole army chanted in unison once again saying "HAROO! HAROO!" before they stomped their feet and weapons as if they were drums of war.
Dijin then unclasped his parka and pulled it of himself in a dramatic fashion revealing his signature robe as he shouted "Everyone to their posts!"
The men all roared before the sound of marching feet echoed throughout the area as everyone went to their assigned positions.
Dijin just watched the men leave and he took a deep breath before thinking to himself "The easy part is over. Now, time for the difficult part."
After about 30 minutes later Dijin was up on the wall standing at the center with two Water Tribe Warriors flanking him on either side. He was currently scouting out the water for any sign of the ships or the teams he sent out.
It wasn't long before he noticed something far off in the distance that looked like a cloud of black smoke. He turned to the warrior on his right saying "Spyglass."
The warrior quickly dug into his belt and pulled out a small telescope before handing it to Dijin.
Dijin quickly opened the telescope and peered into the distance and what he saw made him smirk. In the distance one by one the rear-ends of the Fire Nation ships were exploding before the ships were dead in the water unmoving and sinking.
Dijin collapsed the telescope saying "So far so good. Whoever planned this invasion is certainly pissed off right now."

On the deck of the lead ship Admiral Zhao was currently yelling and roaring at anybody who got in his field of vision. The reason for Zhao's fury was simple, the large naval force that he had gathered was slowly being crippled by the Water Tribe. Somehow, they knew exactly where to target his ships and on top of that they can't even find the saboteurs because they were doing all of this underwater!
Over to the side on the deck was Iroh serving as Zhao's general and advisor for this attack. On the outside Iroh looked just as distressed as Zhao but on the inside Iroh was smirking at how the Water Tribe was giving Zhao such a hard time.
Iroh stepped forward and spoke saying "The Water Tribe people appear to more prepared for us than we originally planned. Perhaps it would be wise to fall back and rethink our strategy."
Zhao just glared at Water Tribe city in the distance and remembered what he found in that lost library in the desert. The destruction of the Water Tribe lied just behind it's very own walls and he was so close. Zhao then stared at the city with a determined frown as he said "Iroh tell all the ships to move forward full steam ahead."
Iroh looked at Zhao completely shocked before saying "You want to send in your whole invasion force! The moon will be out in just a few hours many of your men will die!"
Zhao just ignored Iroh and said coldly "It doesn't matter. By the end of all this I intend to remove the moon as a factor."
Iroh looked at Zhao curiously before saying "Remove the moon? How?"
Zhao just gave Iroh an evil smirk before saying "Back when I was just a lieutenant serving in the Earth Kingdom I stumbled across a lost library in the desert. I don't know how long I spent in there reading scroll after scroll until I came across something remarkable. On one particular scroll, I found the words Moon and Ocean along with an illustration so I kept reading. It was then that I learned that the Moon and Ocean spirits forsook their immortality to live right here in the Northern Water Tribe."
Iroh was looking at Zhao in slight fear now before saying "What are you planning to do with this knowledge?"
Zhao kept his smirk as he answered saying "It's quite simple General Iroh. It was no coincidence I found that scroll in the library. As soon as I found it, I knew I was destined for greatness and I'm going to start by killing the Moon spirit."
Iroh looked at Zhao as if he was completely insane before he shouted "Zhao! The spirits are not to be trifled with! don't you realize how important the moon is!? Not just for the Water Tribe but for the Four Nations as a whole!"
Zhao just shrugged Iroh's words off saying "Yes General Iroh I know of your fear of the spirits and your so-called trip to the spirit world. However, the Fire Nation is strong enough to endure anything spirit or no spirit. So, we have nothing to fear."
Iroh couldn't believe how idiotic Zhao was being and tried to reason with him again saying "Zhao, the moon keeps nature in balance. Without the moon ships cannot travel across the ocean, lakes would dry up, and-"
Zhao having had enough of being questioned cut off Iroh shouting "Be silent general Iroh! I've had enough of you questioning my methods. Now, do as I ordered you to do and tell all the ships to attack now!"
Iroh just frowned but had no choice to obey lest his stowaway nephew get discovered or worse.
As Iroh went to deliver the message Zhao just continued to stare at the wall in anger as if he was glaring at someone on it.

Back on the wall Dijin was staring through his telescope and noticed all of the ships were starting to move-in closer and the explosions had stopped.
Dijin worried for the team's safety turned to the guard on his left saying "Take a few men to the rendezvous point and make sure the teams are alright."
The warrior nodded his head before he and three others went down to check on the underwater teams.
Dijin peered through the telescope again and frowned seeing multiple ships start to get into firing range with their trebuchets.
Dijin quickly put the telescope away before shouting "All benders prepare for bombardment!"
The teams of benders on the wall quickly got into position ready to throw water or create ice at a moment's notice.
Just as everyone was in position the first round of firing begun with the Fire Nation ships launching a multitude of flaming boulders. The Fire Nation focused their fire at the center of the wall with only a couple boulders being launched to the side.
Since Dijin was at the center he quickly got into his stance and punched his right fist forward and punched his left fist down. Next just as the boulders were about to strike, they were quickly either launched away or thrown into the water below.
However, another trio of boulders followed up the previous ones so Dijin did a rotating side kick and punched his right fist down while landing in a kneeling position. The boulders followed his command and were launched away from the wall then thrown into ocean. Dijin quickly glanced around and noticed the teams on the wall were able to block the boulders thrown their way as well.
Dijin was getting ready for another barrage until he heard Aang yelling at him from above on his glider saying "Dijin!" Aang then quickly landed next to him before twirling his glider and saying "What can I do to help?"
Dijin quickly looked out at the incoming ships who were firing at the wall and pointed at them saying "Can you take out some of those ships firing at us?"
Aang just gained a determined frown before saying "I'm on it! Come on Appa!" Aang then jumped down off the wall and landed on Appa who was right below them. Aang then grabbed Appa's reigns saying "Appa Yip, Yip!" The sky Bison then took to sky and headed for the ships that were firing.
Just as Aang left the ships were able to fire another barrage of flaming boulders again with their fire focused on the center. This time however they focused all of the boulders at the center sending at least ten boulders Dijin's way.
Dijin's eyes widened in panic as he quickly made chopping motions trying bend the boulders into smaller shapes but there were too many and they were coming too fast. However, just before the boulders could strike the wall a huge wave of ice formed to block the boulders.
Dijin just stared in shock as the boulders melted the ice wave and harmlessly dropped into the ocean. He then looked to his right and saw Master Pakku standing next to him lowering his hands.
Master Pakku then smirked at Dijin saying "Sorry to take the glory but I got sick of standing around."
Dijin just smirked at the Master saying "Please by all means be a glory hog I won't stop you."
Master Pakku just turned his attention towards the ships and said "Don't mind if I do." Master Pakku then rotated his arms in a large circle sending a huge wave at a ship that had gotten a little to close and toppled it over on its side. Then as that ship sank another three ships blew up courtesy of Aang and Appa
Dijin smiled at the display before he started to get a look of panic because more and more ships were actually getting closer to the wall. It was actually getting to the point that the ships would ram into the wall at the rate they were traveling.
Dijin looked passed the incoming ships and saw Appa flying back trying to get away from the large number of enemies. However, his eyes widened as he now realized what the Fire Nation was doing. They had sent a firing squad of ships as a distraction first so they could send in their entire invasion force to overwhelm them.
Dijin realizing everyone on the wall was in danger started to yell "Everyone off the wall! Now!"
One warrior questioned him saying "but why-" Dijin cut him off shouting "If you wanna live then don't question me and follow my command! Now everyone off the wall! the Fire Nation is going to Invade!"
After hearing that everyone listened to Dijin and quickly left the wall and gathered on the ground with the other warriors and benders.
Dijin quickly took a spot on the stand he stood on before to talk to the men as the sounds of the ships hitting the wall rang throughout the courtyard.
Dijin quickly shouted "Today is not a day of fear." the sounds of the ships ramming into the wall again rang as he spoke.
Dijin continued saying "Today is a day of remembrance." the banging continued to ring as he spoke again saying "Remember your families!" the banging was now growing louder as he spoke "Remember your honor!" the banging was now so loud Dijin was yelling over it saying "And most of all! Remember, you're the Water Tribe!"
All of the Water Tribe members roared in approval at Dijin's words banging their weapons as drums of war. Then suddenly the Ice wall that had protected the Water Tribe for so long came crashing down and hundreds of Fire Nation soldiers followed in its wake.
Dijin quickly made his robe fall to his waist before making a chopping motion. Next a nearby pile of boulders followed his command turning into spikes and impaling a group of soldiers.
The warriors and other benders took that as their cue to attack as well. The warriors charged in head first using weapons and hand to hand combat against the Fire-benders. While the Water-benders froze their opponents, stabbed them with ice spikes, attacked them with streams or waves, or simply made them fall into the arctic water below them.
As the fight waged Dijin quickly lost himself in the battle. He first started by creating two Lava-buzzsaws and started cutting down any Fire-bender who crossed his path.
One Fire-bender got below his guard and dodged his buzzsaw then the Fire-bender slid across the ground to get behind Dijin and shot a fire blast.
The blast hit Dijin in the shoulder making him grunt in pain before he glared at the Fire-bender from behind then he delivered a quick mule kick knocking the soldier onto his back. Next Dijin simply threw the Lava he was bending at the solider the lava melting his upper body killing him instantly.
Dijin realizing he was too exposed held his arms to his sides and then the remaining boulders and earth gathered around him covering his whole body in rock-armor. Dijin looked himself over for second satisfied with the results before he noticed a Fire-bender try and sneak up on one of the younger Water Tribe warriors and quickly leapt into action.
Just as The Fire-bender was going to attack the young warrior Dijin came up and crushed the Fire-benders hand with his rock-armor making him scream in pain. His screamed died quickly though due to Dijin forming a spike on his arm and then stabbing it through the soldier's mouth.
Dijin pushed the dead soldier to the ground as the young warrior noticed what Dijin did and said "Thank you, Commander!"
Dijin just held his out forward in front of the warrior with his fingers splayed before he shot the rock from his fingers like a hail of bullets.
The warrior closed his eyes thinking the rocks were going to hit him but he suddenly heard the sounds of bodies falling and looked behind himself. His eyes widened in shock due to there being three dead Fire-benders on the ground with rocks in their foreheads.
The warrior looked back at Dijin as he said "Be aware of your surroundings!" after that Dijin quickly went after another group of Fire-benders that were trying to gang up on Master Pakku.
However, by the time he reached Master Pakku the Master Water-bender had already taken out half the men that were attacking him by turning himself into a human whirlpool.
Dijin not to be outdone jumped in the air and thrusted his arms forward sending a hail of rock bullets at the remaining soldiers killing them.
Dijin quickly moved to stand back-to-back with Pakku as they were starting to get surrounded by soldiers. As the soldiers closed in Dijin and Pakku walked together in circle while Dijin said "So, how long do you think they can keep this up?"
Master Pakku just kept a hardened gaze on the soldiers before saying "We have an hour until the moon is out, they won't last long after that."
Dijin smirked saying "Sounds good to me." Dijin glanced at all the soldiers and had a fun Idea before glancing back at Pakku saying "Hey Pakku."
Pakku who was getting ready to attack said a little irritated "What?"
Dijin just continued to smirk before saying "First one to 100 wins?"
Master Pakku gained a sly smirk as he stared at the soldiers before he glanced back at Dijin saying "You're on."
The two quickly leapt into action taking out soldiers and counting out how many they take out each time.
Dijin punched two nearby soldiers in the chest creating earth spikes at the ends of his hands stabbing them. As they soldiers fell down dead Dijin shouted out "20!"
Master Pakku on the other hand took a page out of Katara's book and created a ring of Ice pillars that were waist high around himself. As he stood in the center of the pillars he would rotate in a circle while sliding his hands on top of the pillars throwing sharp ice discs that would bisect any Fire-benders that were in their path. Then after each Fire-bender would fall Pakku would shout out a number saying "38! 39! 40!"
The two benders continued their game and before long the moon had come out increasing the Water Tribes power by ten-fold.

On the lead ship Zhao watched his men die at the hands of the Water Tribe without a care and continued his campaign.
Iroh seeing all these loyal soldiers die because of a fool commander broke him on the inside so he tried once more to convince Zhao to fall back at least for now.
Iroh walked forward until he was next to Zhao and said "Admiral Zhao I understand your reasoning for wanting to push ahead. But if you continue with this course of action, you will have no men left to help you invade the Water tribe. Please, fall back just until day break then continue your assault. You have already crippled their defenses to the point of no return."
Zhao looked at battle raging on and at the soldiers dying then sighed before saying "I suppose you have a point General Iroh. I did bring you along as an advisor so I'll listen to your advice. Tell the men to fall back then we resume at daybreak."
Iroh let out a sigh of relief before quickly going to send the message to the ground forces while also help his nephew get ready to infiltrate the Water Tribe.

Back on the battlefield Dijin and Pakku were standing back-to-back again and breathing heavy tired from constantly fighting.
However, they were quickly surprised when all the Fire Nation troops started to fall back and retreat to their ships.
Dijin knowing they wouldn't give up so easily said "This isn't over."
Master Pakku stood next him saying "Your right, no doubt they'll be back at day break."
Dijin frowned and said "The moon will be full tomorrow night if we can we hold on until then the battle will be ours."
Master Pakku just nodded his head saying "Agreed."
Dijin looked around noticing that Katara, Sokka, and Aang were missing then said "I'm going to check things out and make sure we haven't had too many casualties."
Master Pakku nodded his head saying "I'll keep an eye on things here while your away."
Dijin nodded his head before dropping his rock armor and running off to check on everyone including Aang, Katara, and Sokka.
After checking on a couple soldiers and finding out they were okay he found Katara, Sokka and Princess Yue gathered around Aang who was sitting on the ground next to Appa with his head buried in his arms.
Once Dijin was close enough he heard Aang say "I can't do it. I can't do it..."
Dijin quickly ran forward and asked "What happened?"
Aang looked at Dijin with panicked eyes and said "I must have taken out a dozen Fire Navy ships, but there's just too many of them. I can't fight them!"
Princess Yue looked at Aang pleadingly before saying "But you're the Avatar. You have to fight them!"
Aang just looked at the princess in despair saying "I'm just one kid." Aang then buried his head in his arms again as a few tears escaped his eyes while Katara leaned down to comfort him.
Dijin looked at Aang and realized just how much was being asked of him so he looked at the Princess and said "Is there someplace we can rest and talk?"
Princess Yue nodded her head saying "Of course. We can head to the palace. Follow me." Princess Yue then made her way to their destination as Dijin and Katara helped Aang stand up before the group followed the Princess.

Once the group was made it to the palace they were fed and taken to a balcony so Dijin could keep an eye on the wall in case he needed to leave quickly.
As the group settled Princess Yue looked at the almost full moon and said "Legends say the moon was the first Water-bender. Our ancestors saw how it pushed and pulled the tides, and learned how to do it themselves."
Katara realizing something stood next to Yue saying "I've always noticed my Water-bending is stronger at night."
Princess Yue continued to stare at the moon before saying "Our strength comes from the spirit of the Moon, our life comes from the spirit of the Ocean. They work together to keep balance."
Aang who had been leaning on the balcony pouting suddenly had an idea as he stood up saying "The Spirits! Maybe I can find them and get their help."
Princess Yue looked at Aang questioningly before asking "How can you do that?"
Katara stepped forward saying "The Avatar is the bridge between our world and the Spirit world. Aang can talk to them!"
Princess Yue smiled at the prospect before saying "Maybe they'll give you wisdom to win this battle."
Aang just smiled and waved his hands excitedly saying "Or maybe they'll unleash a crazy-amazing spirit attack on the Fire Nation!"
Everyone just gave Aang a blank stare before he said "Or wisdom. Wisdom is always good."
Dijin frowned before saying "Not to burst anyone's bubble but Aang got into the spirit world on accident last time thanks to Hei-Bai. So, how is he going to get into the spirit world with a battle going on right now?"
Princess Yue smiled before saying "I have an idea. Follow me." Yue then made her way into the palace with the others following her again.
After walking for a few minutes Yue led the Gaang to a small round wooden door that looked like you had to crawl through it in a secluded part of the palace.
Yue then motioned for the group to go through the door as Aang approached saying "So, this is the door to the spirit world?"
Princess Yue laughed saying "hahahaha. No. You'll have to get there on your own. But I can take you to the most spiritual place in the entire North Pole."
The group then made their way inside and what they saw completely blew them away.
In front of them was a lush green oasis with a large water-fall in the back. It had a small island big enough for a few people in the center that was covered in grass and flowers. Surrounding the island was a large pool of clear water and in the center of the grass covered island was a shrine surrounding a small Koi-pond with two koi-fish circling each other. One of the fishes was a snow-white color with little black specks while the other fish was a deep black with little white specks.
Aang looked at the oasis in amazement before running forward and plopping himself on the grass cheering.
Aang sighed in content before saying "I never thought I'd miss grass this much!"
Dijin noticing a change in temperature commented "It's so warm here! How is that possible?"
Yue answered him saying "It's the center of all spiritual energy in our land."
Aang went and sat next to the koi-pond before saying "Your right Yue. I can feel... something. It's so... tranquil." Aang then took a meditative pose as everyone let him concentrate.
Dijin realizing he was no longer needed here turned to the other three with him and said "I need to head back to wall. Will you three be fine watching Aang?"
Katara smiled at Dijin saying "Yeah we'll be fine. Just go and win this for us."
Dijin smiled at Katara before sarcastically saying "Easier said than done." before he made his way out of the oasis.

After Dijin returned to the wall they quickly got to work repairing what defenses they could and helped anyone who was injured.
Once everything was taking care of time had gone by fast and it was now only a couple hours till daybreak.
Dijin was currently sitting with Master Pakku doing their usual routine of sharing a couple bowls of noodles and having some tea.
As the two ate Master Pakku suddenly spoke up saying "Tell me Dijin. How long have you been a soldier?"
Dijin who was in the middle of slurping his noodles paused for second before swallowing. He then looked at Pakku while saying "What brought this on?"
Pakku just shrugged saying "Just trying to fight off boredom."
Dijin chuckled before sarcastically saying "So, I'm your entertainment?"
Pakku just replied "Got anything better to do before sunrise?"
Dijin just chuckled again before saying "I guess not." Dijin deeply sighed before saying "I first joined King Bumi's army when I was fourteen."
Master Pakku looked at Dijin shocked before saying "How did you join so young?"
Dijin replied with "They made an exception when they found out I was King Bumi's apprentice."
Master Pakku nodded his head saying "I see."
Dijin then continued his story saying "Once I joined, I quickly rose through the ranks to the point that I was given my first command a year later." Dijin then gained a somber look as he said "It was then I learned what it truly meant to lead and what the cost of war truly is."
Master Pakku seeing how distressed his young friend was couldn't help but ask "What happened?"
Dijin set his bowl down before saying "I was tasked with leading a small battalion of men to ambush some officers that had plans for a new type of war machine and then report back. However, my training with King Bumi had made me cocky. So, instead of ambushing the officers like I was supposed to. I lead my men on a full-frontal assault that ended in disaster. You see, the Fire Nation officers were expecting an attack and were prepared for that. Next thing I knew my men and I were surrounded by double the expected guards. When everything was over, half my men were dead and the officers escaped."
Master Pakku then asked "Then how are you still a soldier today?"
Dijin smiled sadly before saying "King Bumi vouched for me. With a lot of persuasion, he was able to make it so instead of being dishonorably discharged I was demoted. Then I was told if I wanted to raise in rank again, I would have to prove myself harder than any other soldier. So, I did and I've been fighting for King Bumi and Omashu ever since."
Master Pakku let Dijin's words sink in before he said "Well, one thing is certain my young friend. The soldier you just described to me is nothing like the one I've seen and fought alongside with today. You are a fine commander and we are lucky to have you Dijin."
Dijin smiled at the old masters words before his gaze hardened as he stood up.
Master Pakku turned around from where he was sitting and hardened his gaze as well because just over the remains of the wall the sun had begun to rise.
The two benders looked at each other before nodding and taking off in opposite directions
Dijin quickly made his way over to a pile of earth and re-created his Rock-armor. He then looked around and noticed his supply of earth was getting low. Dijin frowned at that prospect but still got ready to fight the oncoming soldiers.
It wasn't long before suddenly a huge explosion came from a section of the repaired wall. Then once the snow and Ice settled the Fire Nation came pouring in only this time, they had Komodo-Rhino cavalrymen on the front lines.
Dijin quickly shouted at a team of Water-benders saying "You four with me!" The Benders quickly obeyed and got next to Dijin as he turned parts of his rock-armor into magma and then made his signature buzzsaws. Next Dijin threw the buzzsaws at one of the rhino's front legs cutting them off and throwing its rider out of his saddle.
Once the soldier landed Dijin shouted "Take him out!" The benders quickly pounced on the Soldier by slamming their feet down and turning the ground under him into ice spikes impaling him multiple times.
Dijin quickly noticed that the cavalrymen were doing serious damage and had even taken a few lives.
Dijin quickly threw his buzzsaws again at a rhino as the benders attacked its rider. Dijin repeated this strategy a few times with some other Water Tribesmen doing the same as well. Soon they were starting to gain ground until suddenly a large Fireball impacted in the middle of a group of Water-benders burning them to death.
Dijin looked at where the shot came from and his eyes widened in panic. The fireball had come from an armored tank like the ones they fought at the Northern Air Temple.
Soon Tank after Tank started pouring from the ships and Dijin realized their current battleground would only hinder them then help. So, he quickly shouted "Fall back! Fall back to the city!"
The warriors and benders obeyed and fell back to the key points in the city along with Dijin.
As Dijin fell back with the others he looked towards the sun and saw it was about mid-day if they could hold out for a few more hours they could turn this battle around.
Dijin quickly reached his destination and low and behold he had a Komodo-Rhino and two tanks waiting for him.
Dijin didn't hesitate, he sacrificed some more of his armor to create another buzzsaw and threw it at the rhino throwing the rider off balance. Dijin then ran and jumped in the air forming an earth-spike at his knee before stabbing the soldier through the chest. He then used the now dead soldier as a spring board and jumped in the air before landing on one of tanks entry hatches. Next, he had the armor covering his arms turn into magma which instantly started to melt the metal making it fall on the soldiers inside. The soldiers began screaming in agony and terror as the magma and hot metal started to fall on top of them and they couldn't escape.
Dijin noticed that the other tank was taking aim at him so he gathered as much magma as he could before jumping over to the other tank just as it fired. The fire-ball passed by him and hit the other tank making it explode due to the open hatch exposing its fuel tank.
Dijin quickly repeated his earlier process melting the hatch door and soldiers inside. However, as Dijin was regathering his magma a fireball hit him from behind knocking him off the tank and onto the ground.
Dijin grunted in pain as he fell but luckily his armor prevented him from getting any serious injuries. He then got onto his hands and knees and saw he was surrounded by 8 Fire-benders and two Komodo-Rhino riders with spears. He also noticed that everyone else was busy fighting their own battles so he wasn't going to have any help anytime soon.
Dijin just grunted in pain again as he stood up and got into his Earth-bending stance as he said "All right. Let me show you assholes what a real soldier is!"
Dijin quickly leapt into action doing a roundhouse kick which launched a piece of earth from his leg at one of the Rhino riders. Just before the earth made contact Dijin splayed his hand open turning it into magma which hit the rider dead center in the face killing him.
The rider dropped his spear in which Dijin did a power slide to dodge a couple fire-streams sent at him and grabbed it.
Once the spear was in Dijin's hand he jumped onto saddle of the rider-less Rhino and jumped over to the other one. The soldier tried to stab Dijin with his spear but Dijin knocked it away with his own before kicking the soldier out of his saddle.
Dijin didn't give the soldier anytime to recover and quickly stabbed his spear through the soldier's neck.
Dijin felt heat coming from his side so he quickly cartwheeled sideways dodging a fire-ball. Dijin twirled his spear around himself before doing an overhead horizontal slash which sliced a couple soldiers throats.
Dijin feeling a presence behind him twirled the spear and did a backwards stab impaling a Fire-bender through the stomach.
Dijin noticed that the remaining five soldiers were gearing up for a combined attack. Dijin also noticing one of the Rhinos stuck around made a small orb of lava and sent it at the beast's backside.
The beast feeling the extreme heat roared in pain before charging forward. Next just as the soldiers were about to attack, they were trampled by the charging Rhino.
Dijin took a couple seconds to catch his breath before he heard Katara's voice shouting from above him saying "Dijin!"
Dijin looked up and saw Katara, Sokka, and Princess Yue flying down to him on Appa.
Once they landed Katara Ran up to Dijin as he said "What's wrong and where's Aang?"
Katara looked at him in slight panic as she said "It's Prince Zuko! I was watching Aang while he was in the spirit world but Zuko somehow got inside the walls and we fought then he knocked me out and kidnapped Aang!"
Dijin's eyes widened at that statement before he said "Do you have any Idea where they could have gone?"
Sokka spoke up from the saddle saying "There were some tracks that led from the oasis to the mountains. We're gonna start there."
Katara then looked at Dijin desperately saying "We need your help to find him."
Dijin gritted his teeth in frustration before he noticed a a Water Tribesmen run by and shouted "You there!"
The Warrior quickly stopped and noticed Dijin before running over and saying "Yes sir! what do you need?"
Dijin replied with "Find Master Pakku and tell him I'm putting him in command temporarily. I have a mission I need to leave for."
The warrior quickly bowed before saying "Right away commander!"
The warrior quickly took off as Dijin turned towards Katara saying "let's go."
The two then climbed into Appa's saddle before the group took off to look for Aang.

Once the Gaang had started their search a huge blizzard began making it hard for the group to search properly. However, after hours of searching the storm cleared and before they knew it the full moon was now out and shining in the sky.
After flying for a few more minutes the group saw ethereal blue light shoot across the sky in front of them.
Katara seeing the light first quickly shouted while pointing saying "Look! That's got to be Aang!"
Sokka also seeing the light steered Appa towards it and before long they found a tied up Aang crawling through the snow with Zuko right behind him.
Sokka quickly landed Appa with Katara and Dijin instantly hopping off and getting ready to fight.
Zuko seeing Katara got into a fighting stance of his own before saying "So, here for rematch?"
Katara just glared at the exiled prince before saying "Trust me Zuko, it's not gonna be much of a match."
Katara then raised her arms while bending her wrists capturing Zuko in a huge Snow-wave. next she finished him off by waving her hands down slamming the wave hard into the ground knocking him out cold.
Katara spat at the ground where Zuko was before quickly running over to Aang who had been cut loose by Dijin and hugged him.
As Katara hugged her friend Dijin looked at Aang expectantly before saying "Aang, what did you learn from the spirits?"
Aang's eyes suddenly widened as he remembered what he learned in the spirit world and quickly shouted "We have to get back to the oasis now!"
Katara concerned at Aang's tone asked "Why? What's wrong?"
Aang looked at the group before saying "The Fire Nation is going to try and kill the Moon spirit!"
Everyone's eyes widened in fear before Dijin shouted "Everyone on Appa now!"
The group quickly complied but Aang stopped them saying "Wait! We can't leave Zuko here. He'll die."
Dijin just growled at Aang's pacifist nature before saying "Spirit's damn it! We don't have time for this!"
Dijin then quickly jumped down and grabbed Zuko before roughly throwing him up into the saddle
As Dijin climbed back up he threw the rope he cut away from Aang at Sokka saying "Tie him up with that. I got bigger concerns to worry about than him."
Sokka nodded his head and got to work as Aang shouted at Appa saying "Yip,Yip" then the group was quickly off to the oasis to save the Moon Spirit before it was too late.

Back at the oasis the unthinkable had happened. Zhao and Iroh along with a group of soldiers had infiltrated the palace and were currently standing at the shrine next to the koi-pond.
Iroh watched in trepidation as Zhao grabbed a silk bag from his belt before placing it the water and scooped up the white koi-fish inside.
Iroh and the soldiers along with the entire North Pole watched as the once white full moon turned into a bloody crimson casting a red glow across the Four Nations.
With the Gaang on Appa they were only a few yards away from the oasis before Aang and Yue started getting ear-splitting headaches with Yue straining to say "The spirit it's..."
Aang finished her thought saying "I know. I feel it too. The spirit is in trouble."
Yue looked at the group before saying "I actually owe the Moon Spirit my life."
Sokka looked her and held her hand before asking "What do you mean?"
Yue looked at the group again before she said "When I was born, I was very sick and very weak. Most babies cry when they're born, but I was born as if I was sleeping, my eyes closed. Our healers did everything they could. They told my mother and father I was going to die. My father pleaded with the spirits to save me. The second night of my birth underneath the full moon he brought me to the oasis and placed me in the pond. My dark hair turned white. I opened my eyes and began to cry... and they knew I would live. That's why my mother named me Yue, for the Moon.
After hearing Yue's story Dijin moved up to Aang's side grabbing his shoulder as he urgently said "Aang hurry. We don't have much time."
Aang gained a determined frown as he said "Appa! Yip,Yip" Aang then cracked his reins making the sky bison go faster.
Soon all across the North Pole the Water-benders were losing their ability to bend and were quickly being overrun by the Fire Nation.
While back with Zhao he started going into a dramatic speech as he held the moon spirit in its silk prison saying "I am a Legend now. The Fire Nation for generations will tell stories about the great Zhao, who darkened the Moon. They will call me Zhao the conqueror... Zhao the Moon-Slayer... Zhao the Invin-"
His dramatic speech was cut short due to Momo jumping on his head and pulling at his face.
Zhao tried to get Momo off but due to him holding the Moon spirit he was unable too until he heard a sharp whistle in which the Lemur-bat flew away.
Zhao collected himself and saw the Gaang standing in front of him. Aang had his staff held out at the ready, Katara had collected some water and made some water tentacles, Dijin had turned what was left of his armor into magma letting the lava flow around his arms, and Sokka stood protectively in front of Yue with his boomerang at the ready.
Zhao however just smirked at the group and said "Don't bother." he then held the bag with Moon Spirit in front himself for them to see before he placed a flaming fist next to it.
Aang and the others instantly stood down with Aang saying "Zhao, Don't!"
Zhao just continued to smirk saying "It's my destiny... to destroy the Moon and the Water Tribe."
Dijin spoke up next saying "Destroying the Moon won't just hurt the water Tribe. All of the Four Nations will be thrown into chaos. Zhao, the world itself will be thrown out of balance. let the spirit go!"
Zhao's smirk never left his face until Iroh stepped to stand next to Dijin as he said "He is right Zhao."
Zhao just frowned as he said "General Iroh, why am I not surprised to discover your treachery."
Iroh just removed his robe he was wearing and stood in his armor saying "I'm no traitor Zhao. I 'm simply seeing reason, unlike you. The Fire Nation needs the moon, too. We all depend on the balance."
Iroh then started to get so angry fire was starting to spark around his fingers. He then pointed at Zhao with flaming fingers and shouted "Whatever you do to that spirit, I will unleash upon you ten-fold! Let it go now!"
Dijin seeing his old teacher gear up for a fight instantly heated up his magma again and got ready to attack along with him.
Zhao looked at Iroh and knew that the Dragon of the West was not bluffing he then looked at Dijin and the others before closing his eyes for a brief second. Next thing everyone knew Zhao bent down and placed the Moon Spirit back in the pond.
Everyone let out silent breaths of relief as they watched but Zhao started staring at the white koi-fish and already he could hear the crowds of Fire Nation citizens jeering at him and the Fire Lord himself sentencing him to die for his failure.
The more Zhao kept thinking the more his face started to turn into a sneer of contempt. Then before anyone could react to stop him Zhao unleashed a powerful wave of fire at the Moon Spirit while it swam near the surface.
Everyone could only stare in shock as the Moon completely disappeared from the night sky covering everything in darkness.
Before anyone knew it Iroh and Dijin were instantly on the attack with the two of them standing back-to-back as Iroh shot Fire balls and used hand-to-hand to disable the Fire-benders while Dijin used a combination of his magma arms and hand-to-hand as well.
Zhao seeing his men being dispatched so quickly by the two ran off to try and escape.
As Zhao left Dijin and Iroh had dispatched the soldiers he brought with him and were now gathered with everyone else around the Moon Spirit.
Iroh went and grabbed the floating Spirit from the pond to see if there was any life left in it.
Sadly, the spirit was unmoving and Princess Yue couldn't help but say "There is no hope now. It's Over."
However, suddenly the wind started to pick up and gather around Aang before everyone was shocked as he entered the Avatar state.
Aang had his eyes closed while his Tattoos glowed before he opened them and suddenly spoke saying "NO... IT'S NOT OVER."
Aang then calmly walked to the Koi-Pond and with using Water-bending he began to walk on the water. Aang then looked down and met eyes with the Ocean Spirit. The Spirit then looked at Aang and if you looked closely, you could see the fish nod his head slightly.
Next suddenly Aang just instantly dropped fully into the water and soon all of the water throughout the North Pole began to gather around him and take on an ethereal blue glow. Then the water started to rise higher and higher until it was even taller than the mountain side. After the water finished rising it began to take shape taking on the form of giant humanoid fish with Aang in its center acting as an anchor.
The Gaang could only watch in absolute astonishment as the creature started to march forward and phase through the palace leaving the building and Water Tribesmen unharmed.
As the creature marched any Fire-bender that came across its path was swiftly dealt with by simply waving its arm and sending blades of water at them.
All across the North Pole the Water Tribesmen had stopped fighting and were all bowing to spirit on their hands and knees while the spirit itself attacked and destroyed anything with a Fire Nation uniform.
With the Gaang, Iroh noticed Zhao had run away and turned towards Dijin saying "You must go after Zhao. I'll handle things here. He must face justice for what he's done."
Dijin didn't say a word he just nodded his head and simply took off after Zhao.
The others gathered around the now dead Moon spirit never noticing that Zuko was gone and singed ropes were in his place.
xxLine Breakxx
After Zhao had left he started to run back towards his ship but he only got as far the palace courtyard before a giant foot made of water blocked his path.
Zhao looked up at the Spirit in fear but he soon raised an eyebrow when it didn't move to attack.
He didn't get to ponder long as he felt heat at the back of his neck and he quickly ducked narrowly dodging some Magma that was thrown his way.
Zhao turned around and was greeted by Dijin standing a few feet away from him.
Zhao growled at the bender that has been thorn in his side for months before shouting "Fine! You want to die so badly I can happily oblige. I've wanted you dead since the Fire Temple. Besides I can see your all out of earth and I'm sick of this cat and mouse game we've been playing anyway.
Dijin just glared at Zhao realizing he was right; his armor was all but gone until he noticed something under the snow.
Dijin squinted his eyes slightly and saw that the earth he used from his sparring match with Pakku had been buried under the snow during the fighting.
Dijin just hardened gaze before he said "You have threatened my friends." Dijin then held his hand out and at the same time the buried earth followed his command and quickly came towards him.
Zhao had to quickly dodge to the side to avoid being hit as he watched Dijin somehow pull earth from nowhere and continued speaking as he said "You have killed hundreds if not thousands of innocent people." The earth formed armor around himself again but soon it started to steam and slowly morph into Magma. Dijin then started to shout as he said "And now you have done the unspeakable and murdered a Spirit!" Dijin was now cloaked in armor made of magma the molten rock flowing across his body as he finally said "Zhao, I promise you by the time this night is over I'm gonna take your head."
After that the two leapt into action with Zhao sending two streams of fire at Dijin but he just took the hit dead-center his magma absorbing most of the heat. Zhao after witnessing this created a few fire-balls and sent them at Dijin.
Dijin simply would turn slightly or use his armor to absorb the blow as he started to get closer to Zhao.
Zhao who was starting to panic since nothing he was doing was having any effect. So, he tried creating a large wave of fire and sent at Dijin.
However, just before the flames hit him they split in two down the center leaving Dijin unharmed and revealing Zuko was the one redirecting the attack.
Zhao looked at Zuko in shock saying "Impossible, your dead!"
Zuko just shouted at the admiral saying "You tried to have me killed!"
Zhao just replied "You're the blue spirit and helped the Avatar escape. You're a traitor to the Fire Nation. You've proven that fact even further by saving the Avatar's guard dog."
Zuko just glared at Zhao saying "He has information I need so I'm not gonna let you kill him yet."
Before the two could argue further Dijin spoke up saying "Zuko, either find Iroh or help me kill Zhao otherwise get the spirit's out of my way."
Zuko was about to glare at Dijin but his eyes widened as he finally got a good look at him in his armor and quickly stood down.
Zhao instantly attacked again sending three large fire balls at Dijin who waved one of his magma covered arms and dispersed one fire ball before rotating his body horizontally and dodging the other the two.
After landing in a crouched position Dijin thrusted his arms out sending two globs of magma at Zhao. However, just a few feet before they made contact Dijin clenched his fists turning the globs into spikes.
Zhao couldn't react in time as the spikes impaled themselves through his thighs forcing him to his knees as he yelled in pain saying "Ahhhhhhhhh."
Zhao fell forward as he clasped his impaled legs unable to move while Dijin moved to walk over to him.
Zhao hearing Dijins footsteps in the snow looked up and saw him approach before suddenly the North Pole was enveloped in a white glow.
Zhao looked up passed Dijin and his eyes widened as he shouted "It can't be!"
Dijin followed his gaze and he couldn't help but smile at the sight before him. Up in the sky shining bright for all to see was the white full Moon.
Dijin's gaze then hardened as he approached Zhao. Once he was close enough he grabbed Zhao by his uniform collar and lifted him up.
Zhao couldn't do anything to retaliate lest he get burned by the magma surrounding Dijin's body.
Dijin just glared at Zhao before saying "You have failed Zhao. You thought you could destroy the spirit of the Water Tribe and their unity but it is that very unity that was your downfall."
Zhao just scoffed and said "Unity? Why have unity when you can have power. Power is absolute and nothing can stop you once you attain it."
Dijin just frowned and said "Then let me show what the power of unity can do." Dijin then turned Zhao around and his eyes widened in fear.
Zhao witnessed the union of Aang and the Ocean Spirit stand in front of his armada and then with two simple swipes of its arms the spirit cut a majority of the ships in half killing all those on board while making them explode and sink. Next the spirit raised its arms and a huge tidal wave followed and it was raised so high it towered over the entire North Pole. After that the spirit pushed its arms out sending the huge wave at the remaining ships which either sank them right away or sent them sailing so far away they were out of sight.
Zhao was now trembling after witnessing his entire army get wiped out in a few short attacks.
Dijin then forced Zhao to look at him as he said "That is unity. Human and Spirit working together to right a wrong." Dijin then paused as he looked at Zhao in contempt before saying ominously "And now it's time for me to right a wrong as well."
Dijin then started to let his magma flow off his arms and onto Zhao's armor. Zhao seeing what was happening started to panic and say "Wait! I can give you power! With your abilities you could be close to royalty in the Fire Nation!"
Dijin just glared at Zhao before saying "Don't you remember what I said at the beginning of this?"
Dijin then let the lava flow quicker making it travel up Zhao's armor up to his neck.
Zhao seeing this shouted "Wait! Stop! Please at least make my death quick!"
Dijin didn't listen he just let magma flow upwards until finally the magma made contact with Zhao's skin and he started to scream "Ahhhhhh. Spirit's no!"
Slowly ever so slowly the magma encased Zhao's head as he screamed in pain until he couldn't anymore and all that remained was a grotesque visage of Zhao screaming.
Dijin spit on the now stone head before simply dropping Zhao's body.
once it hit the ground the stone head shattered while Dijin finished his earlier statement saying "I was going to take your head."
Dijin looked around and saw Zuko was still there and he walked up to Dijin before saying "The next time we meet you will tell me how you know my uncle and why he seems set on helping you."
Dijin just glared at Zuko before saying "Fair enough."
Zuko nodded his head before quickly disappearing into the city.
Dijin looked back towards the ocean and noticed the spirit was gone so he decided to head back to the oasis and see what he could do from there.

The following day the entire North Pole was in mourning. What should have been a day of victory and celebration turned out to be a day of sorrow and tragedy.
Apparently while Dijin had left to go fight Zhao Princess Yue had sacrificed her body and soul to save the Moon Spirit by becoming the spirit itself.
Currently all of the North Pole was gathered in front of the palace as the Chief gave a sermon for his daughter.
The Chief spoke but his words were breaking every so often as he said "Princess... Princess Yue was a fine woman. She... She cared more for her people than she did her own life. Princess Yue may be gone from this world but... But she will forever be in our hearts and... and she will watch over us from the night sky." The Chief then shouted "Spirit of the Moon! May you always keep us safe!"
After the sermon Sokka, Dijin, and the Chief were gathered by the oasis where Yue gave her life.
The Chief sighed before looking up at the sky saying "I knew this day would come."
Sokka looked at the chief and said "What do you mean?"
The chief replied "I had a vision one night. I saw my daughter become the Moon Spirit."
Sokka looked at the Chief in remorse as he said "You must be very proud."
Tears started to flow down the Chief's cheeks as he said brokenly "Yes... and so very sad."
Dijin just knelt down and sent a prayer to the new Moon Spirit while thinking "Princess Yue, thank you for your sacrifice. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you."
However, suddenly Dijin saw what looked like Yue standing on the water in ethereal white robes.
She then spoke saying "You did what you were born to do Dijin. You are a protector."
Then as soon as she was there, she was gone. Dijin looked around and noticed Sokka and the Chief hadn't seen her. Dijin just looked back at the spot where she once stood before he thought questioningly "I did what I was born to do? Protector? What does that mean?"
He didn't get to ponder long as Sokka and the Chief made to leave so he got up and followed but not before taking one last glance at where Yue once was before leaving and getting ready for whatever lied ahead of them now.
