After the battle of the North Pole the Gaang had packed up and began to journey back to Omashu so Aang could learn Earth-bending from King Bumi. However, despite some complaints from Dijin who said he could teach Aang Earth-bending the group still settled on Bumi.

Since the North Pole needed to recoup the Northern Water Tribesmen thought it would be beneficial to help out their sister tribe in the south. Also because of everything that happened, Aang's Water-bending training was handed over to Katara since Master Pakku gave her the title of Master.

So, they were currently sailing on a Water Tribe ship which was headed for the South Pole but they were going to fly on Appa the rest of the way to Omashu.

The Gaang was just finishing packing their supplies on Appa including their new clothes for the Earth Kingdom.

Katara had chosen to forgo her form fitting long-sleeve shirt leaving her arms bare save for some blue bandages around her wrists. To replace the shirt, she simply wore her chest sarashi under her dress. She also chose to change her pants from her form fitting ones to a pair of loose-fitting blue ones.

Sokka like Katara chose to leave his sleeves behind but wore some bandages around his forearms and a pair of fingerless gloves with the pinky and ring finger missing. He left his arms bare while also wearing a sleeveless blue robe that went to his waist.

Aang and Dijin however chose to keep their current outfits except Dijin chose to go bare-foot since they were heading to the Earth Kingdom again. Aang had kept his robes because they had sentimental value while Dijin kept his because it was a gift from his old teacher Iroh.

As they finished packing Master Pakku approached them carrying an ornate wooden box and a bag of items. Once he was next to them, he spoke to Katara first saying "Katara, I want you to have this." Pakku then reached into his bag and pulled out a vial with a glowing blue liquid inside. Pakku then handed it to her while saying "This amulet contains water from the Spirit Oasis. The water has unique properties. Don't lose it."

Katara put the amulet away before hugging her now former master and saying "Thank you, Master Pakku."

Once Katara climbed onto Appa Pakku turned towards Aang and pulled some scrolls out of his bag before saying "Aang, these scrolls will help you master Water-bending. But remember, they're no substitute for a real master."

Aang smiled at Pakku and grabbed the scrolls before turning to smile at Katara who waved at him. Aang then placed his right fist into his left palm and bowed before climbing onto Appa as well.

Master Pakku then turned towards Dijin and said "Dijin, for as long as I have been a bender, I have never felt more honored and more privileged than to have gotten the chance to know you and fight by your side." Pakku then dropped the now empty bag and held the ornate box out to Dijin as he said "And It gives me great pleasure to give you this." Master Pakku then opened the box and Dijin's eyes widened in shock at the gift Master Pakku was presenting him.

Inside the box was a pair of armored forearm gauntlets. The gauntlets themselves were colored black and grey with leather straps and the metal they were made out of was segmented allowing for easier wrist movement.

Dijin looked at the gauntlets stunned before Pakku said "These were mine when I first became a Water-bender. They have served me well over the years and I think it's time they found a new master to wield them."

Dijin looked at his own gauntlets and saw they were cracked and falling apart. He then looked at the pair being offered to him before he placed his right fist into his left palm and bowed slightly saying "Thank you, Master Pakku. I will wear them with honor and pride." Dijin then grabbed the gauntlets and fastened them onto his forearms.

Master Pakku just smiled at his young friend before saying "Be sure you do, Master Dijin."

Once again Dijin's eyes widened in shock as Master Pakku recognized him as a fellow Master before he bowed once again with Pakku doing the same and then climbed onto Appa with the others.

After seeing everyone get some kind of gift from Master Pakku Sokka ran forward with his hands held out smiling.

Master Pakku just smiled at him saying "Sokka." before patting him on the shoulder saying "Take care, son." and then he walked away to talk with the captain leaving a grumbling Sokka behind.

Once everyone was aboard Appa Master Pakku gave them some parting words saying "Fly straight to the Earth Kingdom base to the east of here. General Fung will provide you with an escort to Omashu. There you'll be safe to begin your Earth-bending training with King Bumi."

Dijin brightened up after hearing the Generals name and said "I know General Fung. I'm the one who stationed him at his current post."

The others brightened up at that prospect before Aang turned to face the front and shouted "Appa, Yip Yip!" However, before they took off Katara shouted at Master Pakku saying "Say hi to Gran-Gran for me!" and then they were off to General Fung's base.

The Gaang had been flying for a few hours and Dijin like usual was clinging to Appa's saddle for dear life.

Sokka looked over at Dijin and couldn't help but say "You know Dijin, after all the times we've flown on Appa. How could you still be afraid of heights?"

Dijin just looked away from Sokka and simply said "It's personal."

Sokka raised an eyebrow at the answer before he brightened up and pointed while shouting "Look, there it is!"

The Gaang all looked and saw General Fung's base. The base was surrounded by a 100-foot stone wall with three interconnecting walls that spread out across the land, the main building was 10 story tower made out of stone with multiple smaller buildings surrounding it.

Aang had Appa fly down and land at the base of the tower where a man came out to meet them with an escort of Earth Kingdom soldiers.

Once the man was in front them, they got a good look at him. He seemed to be a middle aged man being in his mid-forties, he had brown hair that was done up in a square top-knot which was held together by an Earth hair Ornament, He also had a small mustache that led to a long brown beard that went all the way to his mid chest, he wore green, tan, and black armor that had dragon heads for shoulder pads and a cape, under his armor he wore a tan long sleeve shirt with studded arm bracers, He had on a pair loose-fitting tan pants but the bottom of the legs were stuffed in brown leg guards, and like most Earth-benders the man was bare-foot save for some metal studded cloth that covered the top of his feet.

The man held his hands out welcomely and said "Welcome, Avatar Aang!" The man then bowed followed by the soldiers behind him as he said "I am General Fung." The now identified General stood straight and held his arms out dramatically saying "And welcome to all of you great heroes—Appa, Momo, Brave Sokka, The Mighty Katara, and the Fierce Dijin.

Katara crossed her arms and gained a smug smirk saying "The mighty Katara? I like that."

Suddenly the sound of fireworks going off was heard and the Gaang was surprised to see colors explode in the sky.

Dijin looked and saw some Earth-benders launch bags of gemstones into sky and when they collided with each other they made the make-shift Fireworks display.

After the fireworks the Gaang was led into the tower where they were taken to General Fung's office.

The office was basically a throne room, it was large but mostly empty save for two rows of pillars that held the ceiling up and General Fung's stone desk in the back of the room, to finish the room off it had a ring of open windows surrounding Fung's desk so he could get a bird's eye view in all directions.

The General was sitting behind his desk as he addressed Aang and the others saying "Avatar Aang, we were all amazed at the stories of how you single handedly wiped out an entire Fire Navy Armada at the North Pole." The General started to stroke his beard as he spoke in an amazed tone "I can't imagine what it feels like to wield such devastating power." The general stopped stroking his beard as he said "It's a tremendous responsibility."

Aang just replied "I try not to think about it too much."

The General then gained a confident smile before saying "Avatar, you're ready to fight the Fire Lord now."

Aang gained a look of panic as he shouted "What?! No, I'm not!"

Katara spoke up next saying "Aang still needs to master all four elements. He only just recently became a Water-bender."

The General just scoffed and said "Why? With the kind of power he possesses, power enough to destroy hundreds of battleships in a matter of minutes, He could defeat the Fire Lord now!" the General then slammed his fist onto his desk to emphasize his point.

Dijin after hearing the general talk stood up and said "To start off general, Aang is only capable of such feats when he is in the Avatar state."

The General spoke up saying "I'm well aware, Aang's eyes and tattoo's glow and he is able to summon unbelievable power. Without him, we'd be slaughtered before we even reached the Fire Nations shores. But with Aang leading the way, as the ultimate weapon, we could cut a swath right through the heart of the Fire Nation."

Before Dijin could argue Aang spoke up saying "You say that but I don't even know how to enter the Avatar state willingly."

The General just ignored Aang and said "Its settled then. I'll help you enter the Avatar state and then you will face the Fire Lord."

Dijin after hearing the Genral talk about Aang like a weapon and then ignore him shouted out "You overstep yourself General! The Avatar state is not a weapon to used by anyone! It is a last resort only to used in the direst of circumstances! Aang will follow his own path in his own way!"

The General having had enough of being questioned shouted back "And who are you to be giving orders and speak to me in this way!?"

Dijin just glared at the General before saying "I am the Right Hand of Omashu, which makes me your superior General." Dijin spoke the word General in contempt as Fung's eyes widened.

General Fung then instantly dropped to his hands and knees and pressed his face to floor saying desperately "Please forgive me sir! I had no Idea you had left to travel with the Avatar!"

Dijin just frowned at the General before saying "Yet you spoke my name when we first arrived."

The General just continued to press his face to the floor saying "I assumed you were a person who shared the same name. Again, please forgive me sir!"

Before Dijin could berate the man further Aang spoke up saying "It's okay Dijin, I understand that the General didn't mean anything by what he said."

Dijin just looked at Aang before looking at the groveling General and saying "Your forgiven General but if I hear you refer to Aang in such a way again we shall have more than words after."

The General breathed a sigh a relief before standing up and saying "If you don't mind may I please show you all something."

The General led them to one of the windows surrounding his office and pointed at a building that had injured men coming in and out of it.

The General then spoke saying "That's the infirmary and those are the soldiers lucky enough to make it back alive."

Dijin seeing what the General was trying to do said "I know all too well what the cost of war is General. Having you tell me makes no difference."

The General persistently pressed on saying "Every day the Fire Nation takes lives. People are dying! Aang could end all of this now." The General then bowed at the waist saying "Please at least think it over for the night."

The General then nodded to some of his men and they began to lead the Gaang to their quarters for the evening.

Once the Gaang was settled in their room Dijin looked over at Aang and saw he looked like he was having an inner battle with himself. However, before Dijin could question him he suddenly stood up and said "I need to go for a walk." and before anyone could say anything he left the room leaving a puzzled trio behind.

Aang wasn't gone for very long in fact he walked back into room almost as fast as he had left. The trio just stared at him as he walked over to his bunk and sat down. Aang then took a breath before saying "I told the General I'd help him by going into the Avatar State."

Katara instantly sat up from her bunk saying "Aang, no. This isn't the way."

Dijin spoke next from his own bunk saying "I agree with Katara. The Avatar State is a defense mechanism meant only for emergencies."

Aang looked at Dijin puzzled and said "How do you know so much about the Avatar State? I didn't even know that. Not to mention what you said earlier to the General as well."

All three of them then looked at Dijin expecting an answer while Dijin once again used some quick thinking to save himself and said "Look, I've seen you do some pretty amazing things that if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it had happened. I've also only seen you do these things when we are in a very bad situation or we have no other alternative. So, that's what I mean when I say it's a defense mechanism and used only for emergencies."

The three nodded their heads at Dijin's explanation appearing to accept the answer.

Sokka chose then to speak saying sarcastically "I hate to disagree with Dijin and Katara but why not let Aang glow it up? I mean did you see what he did to the Fire Navy? He was incredible."

Katara ignored her brother and looked at Aang saying "There's a right way to do this—Practice, study, and discipline.

Dijin spoke next saying "Agreed. There are no short cuts to success but if you go looking for one you will only find failure."

Aang looked at the two while considering Dijin's words before Sokka spoke up saying "Or again he could just glow it up and shit-stomp that Fire Lord."

Katara finally fed up looked at Aang and Sokka and shouted "If you two meatheads want to throw away everything we've worked for, fine. Go ahead and glow it up!" Katara then grabbed her sleeping bag and pillow before making her way out of the room.

Aang tried to reason with her saying "Katara, I'm just being realistic! I don't have time to do this the right way."

Katara just ignored him and went to go sleep with Appa while Dijin stood up and made to leave as well before saying "No Aang, your just being impatient again. I thought what happened with Jeong Jeong would have taught you better than that."

Aang's eyes widened as he remembered his worst mistake while Dijin left to join Katara.

The next morning the Gaang was brought to an Earth Kingdom style Gazebo where Aang was to try his first attempt to enter the Avatar State.

Sokka was there with him for support as were Dijin and Katara if only reluctantly.

The General was sitting next to an herbalist as said herbalist poured Aang some tea while the others sat on some cushions off to the side.

The herbalist began to explain what the tea was as he finished pouring it saying "This rare Chi enhancing tea is a natural stimulant. In an ordinary warrior, it improves strength and energy tenfold. In you, it might induce the Avatar State."

Aang grasped the tea cup and said "Tenfold energy, huh?" The others watched in trepidation as Aang drank the whole cup in one gulp.

Not even a minute later Aang had summoned his Air-scooter and was rapidly dashing around the area saying in a hyperactive voice "Is it working? Is it working? I can't tell! Somebody tell me if I'm in the Avatar State because I don't have a very good view of myself. Am I talking too loud?"

Sokka looked at Aang with a deadpanned expression saying "I guess he could talk the Fire Lord to death."

Dijin looked Aang before looking at the herbalist saying "Hey, can I get the recipe for that tea?"

Katara smacked Dijin upside head after that comment saying "Oh no, last thing we need is to have that stuff on standby."

Dijin just rubbed his head childishly saying "Spoil sport."

Aang finally came to a halt then by slamming face first into one of the beams of the Gazebo.

The General stood up saying "Let us try a different tactic."

Sokka having an Idea said "Here, follow me. I think I have something."

Sokka led the group to the entrance of the tower and had Aang sit down.

Sokka then looked at Aang seriously before saying "Maybe I can shock you into the Avatar State."

Aang smiled before saying "I love surprises."

Katara then sat down behind Aang and covered his eyes with her hands as Sokka prepared to Shock him.

Once Katara was given the ok she removed her hands revealing Sokka's body but with Momo's head making Aang fall back in terror screaming "Ahhhh." Aang then looked at his tattoos and saw they weren't glowing and said "Still not glowing."

Momo not happy with being stuffed in Sokka's smelly shirt started to fidget like crazy making Sokka fall over and hit his head.

As Sokka groaned in pain the General stroked his beard thinking of another idea before saying "Come with me I have another method we can try."

Dijin and Katara just sighed in annoyance at the whole thing while Aang helped Sokka get up before all four of them followed the General.

Apparently after hearing Aang would be coming to the base the General had sent for an elemental shaman to come by to help Aang reach the Avatar state ahead of time.

Dijin wanted to question the General but Aang asked him to just let it be so now here they were in some underground chamber below the base.

The chamber was surrounded by torches and there was alter between two statues of Badger-Moles where the shaman was standing with Aang in front of him.

Aang himself was wearing a ridiculous outfit dressing in a Water Tribe ceremonial cape, a Fire Nation ceremonial Kilt, a ceremonial Earth Kingdom hat, and an Air Nomad necklace.

Soon the Shaman began to speak saying "You are wearing a ceremonial piece of clothing from each of the four bending nations." The shaman then placed a large saucer on the alter before grabbing a pitcher of water and a plate of dirt before saying "Now, I will join the four elements into one. Water, Earth, Fire, Air!" The Shaman quickly poured the water and dirt into the saucer before throwing a lit torch in it and blew air on it with a Hand-held Air-pump.

The shaman then held the saucer above his head saying "The four elements combined into one!" Next the shaman threw the mixture onto Aang covering him in gunk.

Aang just looked at mixture annoyed saying "This is just mud."

The Shaman scratched his head saying "Wait. So, you don't feel any anything?"

Aang's nose started to twitch and he held up a finger while everyone waited with baited breath. Dijin however got an Idea of where this was heading and subtly went to stand behind Sokka.

Next thing everyone knew Aang let out a humongous sneeze which launched him out of the chamber while covering everyone except Dijin in mud.

The General wiped his face before stroking his beard again saying "We have got to find a way."

The General then made to leave followed by everyone else so they could get cleaned up.

After their most recent failure the General just said they would take a small break before trying again. So now the Gaang was currently relaxing in their room but Dijin was sitting up with his hands folded while he seemed to have an inner debate with himself before speaking up and saying "Aang, I need you to come with me. We have to talk."

Aang looked at Dijin questionably before saying "Sure, ok." The two then left the room and found a secluded balcony to talk on.

Dijin then turned to Aang and said "Aang, you need to stop trying to force yourself into the Avatar State."

Aang just let out a frustrated growl and said "Not again. Look I understand where your-"

Dijin cut him off shouting "No, you don't!"

Aang jumped a little in shock at Dijin's tone before Dijin said calmly "No, you don't understand Aang."

Dijin then looked out towards the base and saw the injured men head into the infirmary again before saying "Power does things to people. When they see it, they crave it and when they have it, they only want more." Dijin's eyes closed for second as he grit his teeth his past flashing before his eyes more harshly than ever. He then opened his eyes again before saying "I once tasted power myself and it made me arrogant. In the end I paid the price for it."

Aang stunned by Djin's words asked "What happened?"

Dijin then told Aang the same story he told Master Pakku and by the end of it Aang had an understanding look on his face before he said "That's some story and to be honest it explains a little bit." Dijin smiled at his young friend before Aang spoke again saying "I think I now understand what you're trying to say to me but I also think I still need to do what the General wants and get into the Avatar State."

Dijin just sighed in disappointment before saying "I'm only here to help you on your journey Aang. I can't make you do anything. So, if this the path you want to follow then I'll be there to make sure you don't fall."

Aang smiled at his friend before saying "Come on. I bet the others are wondering what's taking so long."

Dijin smiled saying "Yeah, your probably right." The two then made their way back to the room and once inside Katara stole Aang next leaving Dijin and Sokka alone in the room.

After Katara talked with Aang the two came back with both of them looking miserable most likely meaning their talk didn't go well.

Soon everyone turned in for night almost falling asleep instantly due to the day's events but Aang started to toss and turn having yet another one of his nightmares.

Suddenly Aang sat up letting out a yelp as he woke up from his nightmare of hurting people in the Avatar State.

Aang realizing his dreams were a sign looked over at Dijin and said "Dijin, Dijin, wake up."

Dijin groaned for second after being woken up before sitting up slightly in his bunk as he said "What's wrong Aang?"

Aang just got out of his bunk and said quietly "I think you and Katara are right. I don't think we should be trying to bring on the Avatar State anymore."

Dijin while inwardly relieved asked Aang "Are you sure?"

Aang without hesitation nodded his head saying "Yes. Do you think the General will be mad?"

Dijin just shrugged his shoulders saying "Who cares if he gets mad. If he wants to make a fuss about it, I'll just demote him, I am his superior officer you know." Dijin then let out a chuckle making Aang laugh a little as well and also feel a little better.

Once the two finished chuckling Aang said "Thanks Dijin, goodnight." before heading back to bed.

Dijin just said "Goodnight Aang." before going back to sleep as well.

The next morning the Gaang agreed to tell the General together that Aang wasn't going to try and force the Avatar State anymore.

Dijin, Sokka, and Katara were standing to the side next to a few soldiers while Aang stood in front General Fung's desk.

Aang spoke up first saying "The thing is, I don't think we'll ever be able to trigger the Avatar State on purpose. So, I guess that's it."

The General just looked at Aang and said "You sure I can't change your mind?"

Aang simply replied "I'm sure. I can only reach the Avatar State when I'm in genuine danger."

The General then sighed before he gained a slightly remorseful look as he said "I see. I was afraid you'd say that."

Next thing everyone knew the General twisted his right foot disconnecting his desk from the floor before punching his left fist forward sending the desk at Aang.

Aang screamed in shock as the desk pushed him across the floor and through the wall.

Dijin was about to retaliate until he felt someone clasp metal cuffs around his wrists that covered both his hands. He was then restrained by several guards by throwing chains around his body and pulling them tight.

Dijin looked around and saw Katara and Sokka get restrained as well but not as severe. He then looked at the General shouting "This is treason General! Release me and my friends now!"

The General just frowned and said coldly "No commander." Fung spat the word commander with venom before saying "I'm doing this for my country. It was bad enough our King chose a child to be his right hand but even worse is you have been walking beside the world's most powerful weapon and done nothing with it!"

Dijin looked at the General in pure rage and shouted "Because Aang is not weapon! He is a 12-year-old boy who has the weight of the world on his shoulders!"

The General ignored Dijin and spoke to the soldiers restraining him saying "Keep him restrained. I know firsthand how dangerous he is when he can fully bend."

The soldiers nodded in understanding before the General went to the hole he made from throwing his desk and shouted at the soldiers below saying "Men, Attack the Avatar with intent to kill!"

Katara hearing that screamed "NO! You can't do this!"

The General just smirked saying "Oh yes, I can." He then jumped down to join his soldiers below in attacking Aang.

Dijin seeing the Generals arrogant attitude and friend's hopeless expressions finally snapped and began to curl his body inwards. Then with pure strength he was actually beginning to drag the soldiers holding him forward as he said "You idiots...have no idea...WHO YOU'RE FUCKING WITH!" Dijin finished in a shout before slamming his feet into the ground making the whole tower begin to wobble and shake like it was made of jelly.

The soldiers holding the Gaang were quickly thrown off balance and released them.

Dijin quickly went to work and used the environment to his advantage. He started by doing a double heel kick which bent up a boulder and launched it a soldier. He then slammed his heel into ground kicking up debris before doing a series of spinning kicks which launched the debris into multiple soldiers.

When Dijin came to an upright position again he saw the soldiers were either taken out by him or the building collapsing. He looked around and saw the tower was a mess with cracks and holes all over the place. Dijin then looked for the Water Tribe siblings and saw they were ok with Katara running over to him.

Once she was close Dijin saw Sokka head down to help Aang while Katara got behind him and started to freeze his metal cuffs. As she worked Katara said "Hold on a sec I'll get you free. I can't believe the Genral is doing this!" once she was able to weaken the metal enough Dijin just broke the cuffs with a flex of his fists before saying darkly "I know and he is about to pay for it."

Dijin was about to join in the fighting before Katara said "Dijin, wait!" He stopped briefly to look at her as she said "I'm never one to wish harm upon anybody but do me a favor."

Dijin looked at her and asked "What?"

Katara gained a hardened look before saying "Make that General regret even being born."

Dijin's eyes widened as he saw Katara wasn't just mad she was outright pissed. So Dijin just nodded his head saying "Done." before he jumped out the hole and started sliding down the building leaving finger grooves in the wall.

Katara not one to be left out of a fight made her way down a safer route but would probably take a little longer.

Once Dijin reached the ground the entire base was on the offence attacking Aang with spears and Earth-bending alike. He also saw Sokka had managed to steal an Ostrich-Horse from a soldier and was using the mount and his boomerang to take out soldiers.

Dijin quickly got to work raising his arms up and sending one of the earth rings surrounding the courtyard toward a group of unsuspecting soldiers. The ring slammed into them harshly either knocking them out or injuring them badly.

The General seeing Dijin had gotten loose shouted "Men, I want you to change targets! Attack the Right Hand! I'll handle the Avatar!"

The soldiers all looked at each other questioningly not sure if they should follow such an order. However, before they could question it Fung shouted "Anyone who can take down the Right Hand will receive 500 gold pieces from my personal treasury!"

And just like that any questions the soldiers had were gone replaced by greed as they attacked Dijin en masse.

Dijin knowing these men were only fighting because of Fung held back and only fought with Earth-bending but due to the numbers surrounding him he started to get overwhelmed.

Dijin slammed his foot into ground creating a fissure trying to gain some ground but a group of Earth-benders just jumped up and bent some boulders before throwing them at Dijin.

Dijin turned two boulders into sand and kicked one away but the last one slammed into his stomach launching him a few feet back.

Dijin grabbed his bruised stomach thinking "Now I know how Sokka feels when I hit him."

Dijin shook his thoughts away before slamming both his fists into ground making two streams of Earth-pillars erupt knocking multiple Earth-benders away or into walls.

Before Dijin could attack again a soldier was suddenly dragged away in a scream as Katara had shown up and threw the Earth-bender using a Water-tentacle.

Dijin smiled at his friend showing up but his lack of focus cost him as an Earth-bender launched a pillar at him which hit him in the side knocking him off his feet. Dijin tossed and tumbled across the ground before hitting the wall surrounding the base. Then if that wasn't bad enough, he got surrounded by soldiers mounted on Ostrich-Horses wielding wide bladed spears.

Katara seeing her friend get into trouble because of her shouted "Dijin!"

However, her doing so alerted the General to her presence and then he got an evil idea as he looked at Aang who he had trapped in an Earth-Ring. The General smirked at Aang saying "If you won't go into the Avatar State to save yourself. Maybe you'll do it to save someone you love?" The General then made a pulling motion with his hand.

Katara was caught unaware as she was sunk ankle deep in the Earth and dragged over to the General.

Katara looked at Aang with panic in her eyes saying "Aang! What's going on?"

Aang looked at the general desperately saying "Please, Stop this!"

The General just glared at Aang saying "You could if you were in the Avatar State." Fung then curled his fingers and pressed downward making Katara sink up to her waist.

Katara frightened shouted "Aang help, I'm sinking!"

Dijin seeing what was happening attacked the soldiers in a fury shouting "Get out of my way!" Dijin then let loose slamming his fist into the ground turning it into lava as the Ostrich-Horses were killed instantly. Dijin then jumped at the nearest soldier grabbing his spear and headbutting him unconscious. Dijin then went to work attacking the soldiers in non-lethal cuts and slashes to try and get over to Katara before it was too late.

Aang seeing the girl he loved and cared about the most being dragged underground could only desperately plead out "I can't do it! I've tried!"

The General just frowned and said "Not hard enough it seems." Fung pressed his hand lower making Katara sink up to her neck as she shouted at Aang with tears in her eyes saying "Aang, Please!"

The General started to mock Aang saying "I don't see glowing."

Aang made one more desperate plea with the Genral and said "You don't have to do this!"

The General with a cold look said "Apparently, I do." Fung then pressed his hand down one last time sending Katara deep underground where she would most likely suffocate if not helped soon.

Dijin saw this but could nothing at the moment due to being surrounded by soldiers but that didn't matter because the very next instant Aang entered the Avatar State.

General Fung saw Aang's eyes and tattoos glow and he started smiling like a lunatic shouting "It worked! It worked!"

However, his victory was short lived as Aang saw all the soldiers before he created a massive Air-ring which blasted away his Earth prison and all the soldiers into walls or buildings. While the General was launched into the wall directly behind himself before falling to the ground. Next Aang just simply slammed his foot down Raising the Earth of the entire base destroying almost everything.

The General looked up seeing the destruction before he was shocked to see Aang right there in front of him. Before Fung could do anything though, Aang used Air-bending to slam the General into a wall before he clenched his fists making stone spikes form out of the wall pinning the General there using his clothes.

Aang then spoke as all the previous Avatars started to speak as one saying "YOU DARE HARM AN INNOCENT BECAUSE OF YOUR LUST FOR POWER? YOU SHALL FACE JUDGMENT THIS DAY!"

The General realizing, he may have bit off more than he could chew tried shouting at Aang to get through to him saying "Avatar Aang, your friend is unharmed. Look!" The General raised his fist up and then Katara came rising out of the ground as well taking deep breaths.

Fung then smiled at Aang saying "It was only a trick to help you reach the Avatar State. And it worked!"

Aang just glared at the General and prepared to create a wind-blade that would cut the General in two making the General begin to panic. Katara would have calmed Aang down like usual but she was still trying to get her breathing under control.

Dijin saw what Aang was about to do and he knew if Aang saw the body of the dead General Aang would most likely break to the point of no return. So, Dijin Started running towards Aang as fast as he could bending the ground to make him go faster.

Then just as Aang threw his Wind-blade Dijin threw his forearms up creating two Earth-walls with one behind the other. Aang's attack slammed into the walls full force leaving them a shattered mess but also leaving the general unharmed.

Dijin was about to try and calm Aang down when suddenly Aang started to walk to the middle of the courtyard and took a meditative pose with a sphere of Air surrounding him.

Katara now with her breathing under control slowly walked over to Aang followed by Dijin.

After a few seconds The Avatar State went away along with the sphere and Aang opened his eyes but quickly started to fall over. Katara was instantly there to catch him and he looked at them both with regret as he said "I'm sorry guys. I promise I'll do my best so you never have to see me like that again."

The General chose then to speak up having gotten down from the wall saying "Are you joking!? that was incredible! Now, if only we could control you when you're like that." The General started to stroke his beard in thought before Dijin punched him with a right hook knocking him to the ground.

Dijin then mounted the General and didn't say a word he just reared his right fist back and punched the General in the face. Next Dijin just continued to punch the General as Fung tried shouting in between punches "Some...one... please... stop...him..." However, no one moved to stop Dijin, the soldiers especially since they were all on the receiving end of Dijin's bending and fists.

Soon the only sound going through the courtyard was Dijin's fist making contact with Fung's face and every time Dijin would punch him, his arms and legs would flap up and down due to how hard Dijin was hitting him.

Finally, after at least 15 minutes of punching Dijin stood up and towered over the Genral and admired his handiwork.

The Generals face was completely unrecognizable, it was covered completely in blood, both his eyes were swollen shut and bleeding, he had almost all his teeth missing, his nose was smashed in so much you could see his nasal bones, and his cheeks were all but destroyed the bones actually protruding from his face.

Dijin's spat onto the generals face while his fist dripped blood and Fung could only let out a tiny whimper. Dijin then spoke with so much hate the soldiers stepped back in fear as he said "General Fung, With the authority given to me as the Right Hand of Omashu, I hereby strip you of rank and are immediately dishonorably discharged from the Earth Kingdom military. You will be given no pension, your wealth and properties confiscated, and your family including your future descendants are forbidden from ever entering the military again." Dijin then looked around at the soldiers and shouted "Does anyone have any objections!"

All the soldiers quickly shook their heads no and Dijin then looked at Katara and nodded his head. Katara had a hard look on her face as she nodded back at him the two confirming Dijin's promise was fulfilled.

Next Dijin grabbed the General who held his arms up protectively as Dijin said coldly and quietly "The only reason you're not dead right now is because Aang wouldn't want that. But let me be clear, if you ever come near me or my friend's again not even a fully realized Avatar will stop me from melting you into a pile of ashes. Got it?"

Fung just whimpered and painfully nodded his head as Dijin dropped him on the ground and looked at his friends saying "Let's get out of here guys. I need to get home for a better change in scenery."

As the Gaang was leaving to get Appa one soldier came up asking "Commander Dijin, Sir!"

Dijin turned to face the soldier and asked harshly "What?"

The soldier just bowed and said "Sir, as a way of an apology please let us still escort you to Omashu ."

Dijin just frowned and said "You wanna make amends?"

The soldier nodded his head and Dijin just pointed at Fung saying "Then get that garbage out of this base." Dijin then turned around and walked away along with the others.

As the group got on Appa and left they knew one thing was certain. If this is how things were going to start in the Earth Kingdom then they were in for a wild ride. Little did they know how right they were.

East Earth Kingdom Sea: The Fire Nation Royal Ship

Outside on the deck of a lavish and intricately decorated warship stood a 16-year-old girl who was infamous throughout the Four Nations. The girl in question was none other Than Fire Lord Ozai's second child Princess Azula of the Fire Nation.

She had black hair that was done up in an elegant bun, she also had a top knot at the top of her head with a flame ornament, like her brother she had amber eyes, Like most Fire Nation residents she wore red clothes, she had on a long sleeve red shirt with loose sleeves but she tightened them up using red wrist guards, unlike most soldiers she chose to wear leather armor instead steel for easier maneuverability, The armor covered her c-cup chest, but also covered her stomach, and shoulders with having a flame emblem on the front, on her lower body she wore loosed fitting red pants but around the pants she had red skirt that opened at the front for easier leg movement, and lastly she wore a pair of curved steel toe boots that her pants were stuffed into.

Princess Azula just stared out at the ocean and then she gained a sly smirk before saying "I can't wait to see you again; it's been far too long Zu-Zu" Then she went inside the ship to see when they would reach their destination.
