Dennis arrived at the coliseum. Each member of the remaining army stood to the side to let him in. Shark and Marina were with him.
"So they escaped?" Dennis questioned.
"It seems so." Shark replied.
"I've questioned the two guards who were on duty… it seems they didn't see who." Marina added.
"Fine…." Dennis affirmed. "Shark, you took a team to search with Ancient One, are you sure you don't remember where he went?"
"No he snuck out the moment my back was turned."
"He's rouge." Marina stated.
"Impossible, he has a collar on." Dennis said.
"Maybe dragon instinct is stronger."
"Marina contact Academia, tell them he's missing. Get Academia to recall him to Fusion. We cannot lose Ancient One! Everyone else, we know where everyone will be, go to Heartland Tower and end this!"
"But Heartland Tower was… destroyed?" Shark responded, the sign of concern in his voice made Dennis weary.
"Is that a problem?"
"Of course not but what about those you… trapped?"
"I doubt there dead…. but that'll be the place they agreed to meet up, after all… who could miss a now missing tower!"

The Resistance had been able to get away from the wrecked Heartland Tower in time and had avoided Dennis.
"Is everyone okay?" Ruri said as checked on everyone in her usual pure kindness ways.
"Just about…" Luna replied as he dusted herself down.
"Thank Uriel… she got us out of it." Ruri saw her spirit next to her and smiled.
"These duel spirits really are real then…." Rio added.
"It's a lot to take in." Shun affirmed.
"Now we wait for the others to reach here." Yuto replied.
"Yeah…. and I'm guessing Dennis will return if the others were successful in freeing the others from the coliseum. Let's find a good spot to wait." Rio answered.
Yuzu
Yuzu and the rest had gone on ahead without Shingo, unaware of his fate. However one person was already aware of his fate.
Yuya dropped to his knees as the others stopped.
"Yuya.. is it…?" Yuzu looked to him and then looked up.
"Yeah…. Ancient One…."
"Yuzar?! Which means…." The face on Ray changed from questioning to a realisation of horror.
"Shingo didn't make it…. but did he…?" Masumi stuttered.
"No… Ancient One spared him… he.. made him into a card." Yuya stated.
"You can tell that?" Reiji asked.
"The connections must be getting stronger." Yuzu added.
"Well then we better move quicker!" Grace shouted.
"We need to move Yuya! Me and Ray go with him while you guys go another way."
"Yuto would also be there, that's a good idea." Reiji affirmed.
"Well hurry! I feel him!" Yuya yelled. Yuzu nodded to the others who all departed except Gongenzaka who remained.
"I'll be staying! I won't lose either of you two again!"
"Thanks, Gongenzaka." Yuzu smiled back.
"Please! He's coming!" Yuya yelled.
"We'll get you moving, hold on." Gongenzaka said as he picked up Yuya and begun to carry him.
"You're not going anywhere; I've found you, Brother!"
Everyone looked behind and saw Ancient One approach with a bright smirk.
"Run!" Yuzu ordered but before they could Ancient One fired dark beams at Yuzu, Ray and Gongenzaka.
The blast threw them across the ruins of the street. Yuya fell from Gongenzaka's grasp and was now at the prey of Ancient.
"Yuya…. Warrior, anyone!"
Ancient One raised his hand and a black ring appeared around it. It extended outwards and now surrounded the two.
"Yuya! Answer me!" Yuzu ran up to it but a dark force field sent her back. "No!"
Inside Yuya was struggling but beside him appeared Warrior along with Time and Stargazer.
"Yuya, listen, we're here and we're keeping Odd-Eyes at bay for now." Warrior calmly stated.
"But… I can't…."
"Yuya, with Warrior's added power we can stop him taking over but you must remain calm." Timegazer added.
"O…. okay…. I trust you three." Yuya said as he stopped fighting within his mind. As he did the pain seemed to go away.
"So my brother is being kept away by spirits now? Without Ciel around… I guess they have to work extra shifts!" Ancient One mocked.
"Yuzar, it's my Yuya!"
"Yuzar is dead, how many times must I say that?! Academia might've controlled me for a while but that's because I wasn't fully formed! Don't you see… Academia helped me fully return, now break free, Brother, I want to fight you not your shell!"
"Odd-Eyes isn't coming out!" Yuya replied.
"Yuzar…. I mean Ancient One…" Ray walked up to the force field.
"You again…."
"Did you turn Shingo into a card?"
"Yes I did. I respected the guy; he was able to get Yuzar out for a minute!"
"But then you took back over…." Gongenzaka added.
"I shall duel my brother out of you then!" Ancient's duel disk appeared on his hand.
"Yuya! Don't!"
"No… this can work." Yuya replied. "If the others can contain Odd-Eyes… I won't absorb him…" Yuya's red duel disk unfolded.
"Correct… but I'll absorb you instead!"
"Duel!"

"Let's begin by using Ancient Contract! When I Ritual Summon I return a Monster to my hand from my graveyard, now I summon AncientWanderer!"A cloaked individual with a shadowed face appeared. Only his white eyes showed.
Ancient Wanderer ATK: 1200 DEF: 800 Dark/Warrior/LVL 3
"When he is the only Monster on my field and summoned this turn, I can Special Summon another Ancient Monster from my deck and you can draw a card! Appear Ancient Magician!"A tall magician in purple robes appeared. She had a golden broach on her black hat which connected to the robes.
Ancient Magician ATK: 1000 DEF 700 Dark/Spellcaster/LVL 4
"I use Ancient One Ritual! I tribute Magician and Wanderer!" The blue circle around Ancient One glowed with a dark tint as his two Monsters fired into the ground. "I Ritual Summon the dragon who will take your place as number one! Appear my true form!"
Emerging from the ground appeared the dark blue dragon with blue orbs on its legs emerged roaring upon its summon. Ancient One's eyes lit up as Yuya begun to panic once more.

Yuya gripped his fists as sweat come down his face.
"That's right, break through Odd-Eyes…. I use Ancient Magician's effect to draw a card when used to Ritual Summon and I use Ancient Contract to add Magician back to my hand! I set one card and end my turn!"

Yuya LP: 4000 Hand: 6
"Draw!" Yuya looked at the seven cards in his hand and saw what he feared, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon.
"Go ahead, Yuya. We're here." Warrior calmed him. "Also… check your extra deck and hand again." Yuya looked and looked back to Warrior.
"I can Fusion Summon now but…?"
"It's about time you could. When Yuzu gained the power to Fusion Summon, I gained the ability to grant that power to you."
"Okay, thanks." Yuya affirmed. "I set scale one Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon and scale eight Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon!" A red dragon appeared in one while Arc Pendulum was a sliver dragon with a crystal shaped like Yuya's pendulum coming out of its back.
"Two Odd-Eyes Monsters… is that Odd-Eye's deck leaking through?" Yuzu thought.
Persona 1 – 8 Arc
"I Pendulum Summon…. Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Pendulum Warrior!"
High above the sky appeared Yuya's Pendulum portal and the two beams shot down onto the field in front. One contained Warrior's physical form along with Odd-Eyes. Upon Odd-Eyes summon Ancient One's dragon form roared along with Odd-Eyes.

Yuya looked at his dragon who continued to look at Ancient One. Warrior nodded to Yuya.
"Yeah… I can control this…."
"Ancient One gains 300 attack for your two level five or higher Monsters!"

"Yuya, use one of your new cards!" Warrior spoke.
"Yeah! I overlay Warrior and Odd-Eyes!" Both fired into the Xyz portal.
"He's doing what?!" Yuzu yelled.
"Can… can he really do that?!" Gongenzaka added.
"Appeared Queen Knight: Warrior of Destruction!" she had thicker black armour and long black hair and black eyes. She had dark black wings and two black swords.

"Since Warrior is a Xyz, Ancient loses its attack!"

"How very wise…." Ancient snarled back.
"Warrior gains attack equal to the attack of her overlay units as long as Pendulum Warrior is one of them!"

"5000 just like that? Amazing!" Gongenzaka added.
"Yeah but I hope Warrior has enough to keep Odd-Eyes at bay… he absorbed Sin as well…. he's much stronger."
"I attack!" Yuya ordered. Warrior fired forward with her mighty black wings and cut Ancient One in halve with a rapid slash.

"I use an overlay unit!"

"I can attack once more for each Monster I control! Warrior counts so I'm attacking once more!"
"I use the Trap Ritual Crossing! I end the Battle Phase when attacked directly and I add a Ritual Monster with less attack than the difference in our lifepoints. I add Ancient One Darkwurm! I set two cards and end my turn!"
"A Darkwurm?!" Warrior said.
"The servants of the Dragons…" Timegazer added from behind Yuya.
"He has a different one?" Yuya questioned.
"It seems he made it." Stargazer replied.

"I draw! I use the Spell Ancient Retrieval which lets me add Ancient One Ritual back to my hand as well as drawing a card!"
"You're doing great, Yuya." Warrior's new Xyz form said.
"Thanks but…"
"No buts, he won't appear!"
"This is our personal battle! Shells and other sprits have no right to interfere!" Ancient One snapped back.
"These are our worlds, it is our business!" Yuya replied. "I will show you Ancient One… you don't need to be like this anymore!"
"Anymore?"
"I know that you along with your brothers were peaceful…. before Starving Venom convinced you to embrace your full destructive abilities, don't you want to go back to how you were before?!"
"You seem to think he forced us… he didn't but he was correct! We put criminals in the original world out of business; we hurt them so they would be too scared to do anything while the Angels would be too soft! We're not the corrupted ones; we did what needed to be done! I summon Ancient Magician again!"
Ancient Magician ATK: 1000 DEF 700 Dark/Spellcaster/LVL 4
"I use Ancient One Ritual and tribute Magician! Appear my loyalist servant, Ancient One Darkwurm!" A white dragon with blue glowing wings emerged.
Ancient One Darkwurm ATK: 1800 DEF: 0 Dark/Dragon/Ritual/LVL 4
"I draw a card via Magician's effect and Ancient Contract returns Ancient Magician to my hand. I use Darkwurm's effect! I tribute it to summon Ancient One back to my field with 500 more attack!"
"What?!"
Darkwurm flew high into the sky as it formed a dark ring. Ancient One Ritual Dragon emerging screaming as Yuya felt his head vibrate.
"No! He's coming!"
"Yuya! Don't let it!" Yuzu yelled from the side.
"It's fine, we won't let it!" Warrior affirmed to Yuzu.

"Now he gains more attack thanks to you having a level five or higher Monster in your graveyard!"
"But I don't…." Yuya stopped as he knew Ancient one was right.
"You detached Odd-Eyes from Warrior's new form so yes, it's in the graveyard!"
"A Xyz Material doesn't count as being on the field so it goes to the graveyard and not the extra deck… Ancient One just got an upper hand." Yuzu said.
Ancient One ATK: 3300
"My own brother powering me up…. don't you hate that, Odd-Eyes?" Ancient One smirked. Yuya felt more impulses come from his head.
"No! You can't!"
"I play Ritual Gateway! This equips Darkwurm onto Ancient One and it gains its attack!"
Ancient One ATK: 5100
"Go! Wipe out Warrior!" Ancient One ordered as his Monster reigned down blue balls of fire onto Warrior.
"Yuya…. don't give in!" Warrior said to him as the flames engulfed and destroyed her.
Yuya LP: 4000 – 3900
"I send Darkwurm to the graveyard and banish Ritual Gateway… I halve Ancient One's original attack and it cannot gain any more attack while on field."
Ancient One ATK: 1250
"Direct attack!" Ancient unleashed the blast once more which sent Yuya flying into the force field's wall.
"Yuya!" Yuzu and Gongenzaka shouted helplessly.
Yuya LP: 3900 – 2650
"I…. won't let you get away with that!" Yuya yelled. "I play the Trap Odd-Eyes Recall! When it's the end of your Battle Phase I bring back an Odd-Eyes from my graveyard!"
"No, Yuya!" Yuzu banged her hands on the force field but it was too late as Odd-Eyes returned.

"Yuya… are you there?" Yuzu softly asked.
"Yeah… sorry…. but I had to summon Odd-Eyes." Yuya replied. "I had no other choice…"
"It's fine, Yuya. Just keep fighting… this isn't just to stop Odd-Eyes; it's to stop you from absorbing Yuzar!"
"So many things wrong with that statement…" Ancient One snarled.
"I use my Trap Pendulum Reborn to return Warrior from my graveyard!"

"So you can Fusion Summon now? Odd-Eyes will have that fun with that…"
"I'm Yuya! I fuse Warrior along with a Pendulum, Warrior-type Monster!" Both fired into the blue and orange whirlpool. "Emerge Queen Knight: The Brave Warrior!" Her armour was purple along with her eyes and hair.

"I use her effect! I negate your Monster's effect and it drops down to zero!"
"What?!"
Ancient One ATK: 0
"And now Warrior gains 1000 attack!"

"Now I attack and when Brave Warrior attacks a Monster which is level or rank five or higher, she gains that Monster's original attack until the End Phase!"
"Yes! Yuya's going all out!" Gongenzaka clenched his fist with joy.

"I won't let you absorb me! I use my Trap Ritual Loop! I banish Ultimate Ancient Offering from my deck and now I take Warrior!"
"NO!" Yuya yelled as his Fusion switched to Ancient One's side.
"When she leaves the field I get my Ritual Spell back!"
"No… I lost her…." Yuya begun to shake.
"All you have now is Odd-Eyes!"
"Yuya!" Yuzu shouted.
"Enough!" Yuya begun to hit his fists on his head. "No! Stop telling me what to do!"
"We're not! Come on!"
"I… switch mysel….. mysel… I switch Odd-Eyes to defence!"
"So close…. I'm nearly there!" Ancient One smirked.
"I set one card…."

"Draw!"
"Yuzar is too far gone…" Ray said in despair.
"He said that Shingo was able to get him back for a second so maybe…. just maybe…. he can still fight back." Gongenzaka replied.
"I use the Spell Ancient Strike! I destroy all Monsters on my field!"
"Why would you do that?!" Yuya questioned.
"Well first of all Ancient Strike inflicts 800 damage for each Ritual Monster destroyed!" A thunderbolt struck Yuya in the chest.
Yuya LP: 2650 – 1850
"Now since Warrior left the field I get my Ritual Spell!" Ancient One added Ultimate Ancient Offering.
"That's Yuzar's card to summon his strongest Monster…." Ray stated.
"You failed!" Ancient one gloated. "And my brother was too weak to appear!
"NO! NO!"
"You can't control it, Yuya… only Warrior!"
"Yuya, stop this!" Time and Stargazer both said who appeared. Warrior also appeared however after her recent destructions she was now barely able to contain Yuya's rage.
"You can't help!"
"You planned this?!"
"Spirits are annoying! I use added Ultimate Ancient Offering! This Ritual Spell brings back Ancient One from my grave!"

"This allows me to tribute Ancient One and summon its evolved form! Ancient King Ritual Dragon!" Reap hell!"
Ancient One roared as it glowed and grew bigger. Emerging from the light was white dragon with golden amour around its body appeared. It had blue wings with black stripes.
Ancient King Ritual Dragon ATK: 3000 DEF: 2500 Dark/Dragon/Ritual/LVL 10
"I won't allow you, Brother!" Yuya yelled as his body burst out in dark aura and his red eyes emerged.
"Finally!"
"No… Yuya…" Yuzu looked away and couldn't stand to watch.
"We failed…."
"No, look!" Gongenzaka said. Odd-Eyes was holding his head as Yuya's voice came out.
"Warrior! Everyone… please!"
"Enough of this! I destroy all other Monsters on the field and I gain 800 attack!" Ancient King fired rapid blue blasts into the sky which rained down on Yuya's field, wiping out Odd-Eyes.
King Ritual Dragon ATK: 3800
"Direct attack! You will merge with me!"
"Yuya… do it!" Warrior yelled.
"I use Performapal Call! I negate your attack and add two Performapals whose total defence is less or equal to your 3800 attack!"
"Performapals?! Odd-Eyes?!"
"No! It's… me!" Yuya clenched his fist with sweat. "I add Performapal Disappear and Seal Eel!"
"You're adding fish?!"
"That's the fun!"
"I end my turn!" Ancient One gritted his teeth with pure rage.
Turn 6
Ancient One LP: 1500 Hand: 1
Yuya LP: 1850 Hand: 2
"I will end this… I draw!"
"Any Monster Special Summoned is destroyed thanks to King… just thought you should remember!"
"I know… Yuzar showed us it first!"
"Stop speaking his name!"
"Why.. Yuzar is your name! I use Wavering Eyes! This Spell destroys my two Pendulum Monsters! And since I destroyed two you take 500 damage and I can add a Pendulum Monster from my deck!"
Both Pendulums were destroyed and became energy which hit Ancient One in the chest.
Ancient One LP: 1500 – 1000
"I add Performapal Disappear! And now I set Seal Eel and Disappear!" Rising in the scales was a small orange fish coming out of a magician's hat. Disappear was a silhouette with a white outline with a black bowtie.
Eel 3 – 5 Disappear
"I use Eel's effect! This allows me to negate Ancient King's effect until the End Phase!"
King Ritual Dragon ATK: 3000
"I use Disappear's effect! I destroy him in my scales to summon a non Pendulum Monster in my graveyard! Return Warrior!" A bright glow appeared and Yuya's Fusion appeared.
Queen Knight: The Brave Warrior Fusion/Warrior/Effect LVL 8 ATK/3000 DEF/2500
"Brave can't negate an already negated Monster's effect so this will have to do! Brave attack Ancient King and gain his attack!"
Brave Warrior charged forward and her sword increased.
Warrior ATK: 6000
"No…. I can't!" Ancient One yelled.
"Free Yuzar, Warrior!" Brave Knight pierced Ancient King in the chest making it and his real self scream with pain. Warrior withdrew her blade and a mass dust cloud covered the field.
Ancient One LP: 1000 – 0 Yuya Wins
The force field faded and Yuya ran to Yuya while Ray ran to Yuzar. Yuzar lay on the ground while Yuya was kneeling with tiredness.
"Wake up, Yuzar!" Ray yelled as she held him in her lap.
"Ray? How are you…?"
"You're free! You're safe!" Ray hugged him.
"Yeah I am…. but wait… why do I feel funny?"
"What do you mean?" Ray looked at him and Yuzar slowly begun to glow blue.
"Yuya? What's happening?!" Yuzu asked her best friend. Yuya stood up and saw his hands glow.
"I… don't know?! What is it?!"
"No! It can't be!" Star yelled.
"Yuya, stop this!" Time added.
"I can't! Help me!"
"Yuya, fight it!" Warrior shouted but it was too late as Yuzar slowly turned into blue energy.
"Ray….. I'm sorry….." The whole of Yuzar's body became energy and fired into Yuya. Yuya yelled as the energy fired into him before stopping.
"YUZAR!" Ray screamed.
Yuya dropped to the floor as the Ancient One Ritual Dragon card dropped next to him.
