"Heartland Tower… is gone?" Grace and the others could see the giant empty gap in the far distance.
"They destroyed it…. but what about Yuto and the others?" Masumi replied.
"We won't know till we get there. Keep moving." Reiji affirmed.
Marina
"He can't be recalled?!"
Marina was on her duel disk back to Cobra at Academia.
"No! His collar has been deactivated! I don't know how this is possible!"
"We can't allow him to merge with anyone else! What do we do?!"
"This is an upmost emergency… Get Dennis to order his troops to search. I'll contact Leo, we need to throw everything at this!"
"What about Yuri… or the Synchro Dragon, Yugo?"
"About Yuri….."
"What is it, Cobra?!"
"Focus on your mission, Leo will decide this all!"
"Wait! What happened to Yuri?!" Marina yelled but Cobra cut off.
Dennis
"They escaped….. Cockroaches… all of them." Dennis sighed and he and his men searched the Heartland Tower ruins. His duel disk rung and he answered.
"Dennis! Ancient One's collar broke!"
"What?!"
"Order your team to search everywhere, Cobra is talking to Leo, we will get reinforcements soon."
"Fine… but I won't allow the Lancers and Resistance to regroup."
"Then leave Shark there! This is important!"
"Do I need to remind you I'm running this mission now?"
"Leo will hold you fully accountable, Dennis, if you fail to get him back! Stop having an ego and do it!"
Dennis gritted his teeth and looked at Shark.
"Fine! Shark! Stay here, if you find your old friends, take them out. The rest of you will follow me! Marina, find the Lancers who are en-route."
"But I'm needed-"
"That's an order!"
Lancers
The Lancers had entered the main part of the city they were a few minutes away from the rubble of Heartland Tower.
"All this damage… I didn't notice how much Academia did…" Grace looked around at the ruins.
"We were following orders." Gloria replied.
"You do regret it all, right?"
"I couldn't rejoin Academia after what they did to you."
"But about the people, Gloria?"
"I don't care about other people; it was only ever you and Marina…"
"So all the people we hurt… everything we did?" Grace stated.
"I guess I don't have a heart."
"What's the plan?" Masumi asked Reiji.
"We have to go by what the Resistance say… but we need to clear out the last of Academia and make sure we remove the dimensional block they have in this dimension."
"But where would they be storing that?"
"I'm guessing the Resistance also tried to find such a thing. Yuto, Shun and Ruri all came through the first time and I guess that was thanks to Faker… I need to speak to him." Reiji replied.
"Wait… I see something…" Reira looked ahead.
"Great…." Grace also saw it.
"You're going no further."
Up ahead was Marina.
Yuzu
"He…. I mean Odd-Eyes…. absorbed Yuzar…." Ray stuttered. Yuzu was holding Yuya's head after he collapsed.
"This wasn't Yuya's fault, Ray." Gongenzaka said.
"I know, I know. Yuya suppressed Odd-Eyes but still absorbed him…"
"It's getting closer now…. Ancient One already consumed Yuzar… Who knows how Yugo and Yuri are doing back at Academia… I fear for Yuto if something happens to Ruri or Shun." Yuzu added.
"We can't think like that." Gongenzaka replied. "We will find a way."
"Let's go find the others."
Marina
"Marina! Where's Heartland Tower?!" Reiji demanded to know.
"Destroyed. We brought it down."
"And the Resistance?!"
"Missing. If we can't find them then neither can you."
"Why are you here, Marina?" Gloria replied.
"I'm here to finish the job. With Ryo gone, we're finishing his job! I'm starting with you Grace and Gloria!"
"A two vs. one?!" Grace said.
"Yeah, I'll take the traitors first."
"Go." Gloria said to Reiji and the others.
"But-" Masumi tried to say something but Gloria shook her head.
"We'll deal with this."
"Just go before she ties you up like Ryo did!" Grace added.
"I won't do that." Marina said. "Waiting up ahead is Shark, so either way you're going to have duel someone."
"Marina! You helped Reira back in Fusion… can you really look at her and let her get into danger?!"
"I said just go!" Marina looked away as Reiji and Masumi nodded. Reiji grabbed Reira's hand the three departed.
"That was almost like you're ashamed?" Grace said.
"Just shut up. Let's get this over with!"
"Fine!" Grace and Gloria activated their duel disks.
"Gloria, you're just an opponent now, expect nothing from me!"
"I wouldn't expect anything from someone who allowed me to get brainwashed and then threw me away!"
"I… had to! Now let's do this!"

"I'll start with this!" Grace yelled. "The Field Spell Amazoness Village!" The field turned into a sandy jungle. "I summon Amazoness Baby Tiger!" An orange small tiger appeared.

"It becomes Amazoness Tiger while on the field and now I use Polymerization! Fuse with Amazoness Paladin in my hand!" Both Monsters spun in the whirlpool as a bulky tiger walked forward. It had amour around its joints and an eye patch on its right eye.

"I was made to wear this badge of shame when I tried to keep you safe… so it's fitting I'll take you down with this!"
"There's no pride in what you do!" Grace shouted. "The Fusion Dimension doesn't reign above all, you can't see that?!"
"I do what is needed…. some of the stuff I've done I haven't wanted to do but… I know Leo can lead us to a brighter future! I add Attribute Knight: Joe of the Lake. Now I set my Pendulum Scale! I set Seymour and Galahad!"
Galahad 2 - 7 Seymour
"I Pendulum Summon Attribute Knight: Seraphim the Crystal Knight, and Joe of the Laker!" Both Monsters fired from the sky. Each were knights were different colour. Blue for Seraphim and yellow for Joe.

Both Monsters flew into the whirlpool and fused. Appearing was a female wearing green jungle clothes with a red cape. She wore a skull of an animal on her head.

"Let's see! Empress attacks Joe!" Empress punched the knight in its chest causing the armour to crack and explode.
"I use Seymour's effect to make the damage zero and then I can draw!"
"Fine but since we share a field I can make Liger attack and when it battles it gains 500 attack until the end of the battle!"
Liger charged forward and roared with all its might as it head butted Marina knocking her back.

"I use my Trap! Attribute March! When I take damage I summon an Attribute Knight from my graveyard and cut the damage I take by its original attack! Return my Synchro!"

I play the Ritual Spell Judgement of the Knights!"
"Ritual?!" Roget said.
"I can tribute Attribute Knights in my Pendulum Zone as a cost I will seal the contract with the Knight of Justice who once brought the utopia to the new Genesis to come once again to condemn my enemies at the gates of hell."
Marina's two Pendulums along with Seraphim shot up into a blue circle as a new Monster emerged. A blue knight emerged with light blue lines across its body. It had two white wings on its back with a sword mounted on its back.
Attribute Knight: Supreme Judgment Paladin [3500 ATK / 3000 DEF / Dark / Level 10 / Warrior / Ritual / Pendulum 2]

"Ritual, Fusion and in the last turn a Synchro…. if we weren't battling for our lives this would be awesome." Grace smirked.
"As ever you lack focus." Gloria replied to her sister.
"Nah, I just like the fun!"
"Just like when we all trained together… I miss those times." Gloria added.
"And we could've kept like that… had you not run away!" Marina slammed back.
"I was brainwashed and you let it be!"
"I didn't like it but…."
"But nothing! If you love someone you put them first!"
"And I do! Serena and Yuri! We need Academia to keep them safe!"
"And if they were hurt by them?!"
"Leo won't do that! I trust my life on him!"
"Enough of this! You're the one brainwashed, Marina!"
"Then it's time to battle! I know Liger means only I can battle it and Empress means any other card than itself is not destroyed… Paladin attack Liger!"
Paladin launched forward with her wings and grabbed out its sword. It slashed Liger across the chest but due to Empress' effect it remained.
Grace/Gloria LP: 2500 – 1200
"Infernal!"
"Before you declare I use my Trap!" Gloria yelled. "Amazoness Tribal War Force! When I take battle damage we destroy the Monster which dealt it!" A spear was thrown from the Trap and into Paladin, wiping it out.
"Then Paladin moves to my Pendulum Zone!"
Paladin 2 –
"War Force has one more effect! Our Monsters switch to defence!"
"How annoying. I set one card and end my turn!"

A blue haired warrior appeared on a throne. She held a long sword.

"When I Special Summon an Amazoness, Baby Tiger can be summoned from the graveyard!"

"Baby Tiger counts as Amazoness Tiger while on the field and now I use Polymerization!"
"Fusing both Queen and Tiger together?!"
"Appear Amazoness Leader!" A female with bright golden armour across her chest emerged with a red royal robe with a golden staff. In the other hand she had a steel chain with a tiger's paw on the end.

"You never summoned that before?!" Marina replied.
"We never had the chance! She makes all your Monsters lose 1000 attack!"

"She decreases Infernal's attack by 800!"

"Now I use Leader's effect! When an Amazoness destroys one of your Monsters she can inflict 800 damage to you!"
"What?!" Marina yelled as Leader leapt into the sky and threw her chain down towards her. The claw scratched across her chest and knocked her down.

"This will end it! I attack with Gloria's Empress!"
"I use my Trap, Ambush in New Genesis! I take control of Empress!"
"No you won't as Leader's second effect activates to cancel your Trap!" Gloria replied.
"I wanted that! I summon Attribute Knight: The Crow Thief from my hand to negate your effect!"
"What?!" yelled the two sisters.
A new knight in dark armour that had the shape of a crow materialized on the field, when entering the field.

"I negate your effect so not only have I gained a new Monster, Empress works for me!" Empress leapt over to Marina's field and faced her own. "But I have more! Crow can Fusion Summon itself with Amazoness Leader!"
Both flew into the sky as Grace and Gloria could only watch at this point as a dark armoured knight arose from the sky He had a black mask on with a cape surrounding his whole body.

"Genesis World gives it 500 attack!"

"This turn will decide it, I draw! I use Supreme's Pendulum effect! I destroy it to add Genesis Fusion!"
"She's going to summon it…." Grace said with a shiver down her back.
"I summon Attribute Knight: Raimond the Gaia Knight!" A knight emerged from the earth. He had a huge sword and his armour was yellow.

"Now I use Genesis Fusion! I fuse Raimond and Hades! When my soul and my ideals are in tune in the perfect symphony, the dragon of Genesis will emerge again in its quest to create the perfect world… appear, Kénos: the Pendulum Dragon of Genesis!"
A sliver dragon emerged from the portal. It had blue gems located on its kneecaps and forehead. One was also in the centre of its chest. Kénos: had long horns and wings.

"Thanks to this card I destroy all Monsters you control with the same attributes as the ones I used to Fusion Summon this card! I used Dark and Earth, and I see an Earth Monster on your field! And since Empress is on my field, she can't save Liger!"
Kénos fired a rapid blue blast at Liger which created a large gust of wind which made Gloria and Grace shield their eyes. Once it calmed they saw Liger gone.
"You take 400 damage for each!"
Grace/Gloria ATK: 800
"We still have one last face down!" Grace shouted. "Amazoness Order! This Trap summons an Amazoness from our deck when a Fusion Monster is destroyed! I summon Amazoness Swords Woman!" A woman in battle amour appeared with red hair and a long sword.
Amazoness Swords Woman ATK: 1500 DEF: 1600 Earth/Warrior/LVL 4
"Smart move! Swords Woman makes me take any battle damage instead!" Marina replied. "But I banish Attribute March from my graveyard instead along with a Fusion Attribute Knight, I choose Hades!"
"Now what….?!"
"This negates all Monster effects while I control a Fusion Monster this turn."
"No!" Grace yelled.
"It's over! Kénos, end this!" Kénos charged up the blue beam and fired. As it did this Grace and Gloria hugged with their eyes shut as the blast connected.
Grace/Gloria LP: 800 – 0 Marina Wins
Grace and Gloria were on the floor with bruised marks from the blast across their face. They saw Marina approach.
"Stupid Real Solid Vision… I can't move…." Gloria slowly tried to get up but couldn't.
"We did this to a lot of Xyz people… we deserve it…."
"No, Grace… you found your redemption… this will be mine…" Gloria looked up to Marina. "Just take me…."
"That's not the job." Marina replied.
Gloria looked at Marina dead in the eye but then saw Grace looked at the front of her purple uniform.
"That's…. blood?"
"Grace, you okay?!" Gloria yelled.
"I think I hit a… sharp rock….." Grace collapsed.
"NO! Marina do something!"
"I… didn't mean to do this?!" Marina got down to Grace's level and rolled her over. "It's her chest…"
"Please, don't let her die!"
"I…. I won't…. I didn't…. just like when Yuzu took my eye… she didn't mean it either…."
"Marina, snap out of it and get her to the hospital!"
"Fusion would let her die… just like they wanted to Ryo…"
"MARINA!" Grace yelled, Marina shook her head and helped Gloria off the floor.
"Hold her, we're going to Synchro." Marina hit her duel disk and a white portal emerged.
"Both of us?"
"Both of us."
Reiji
Reiji and the others arrived at the tower and saw the damage.
"Where could the Resistance be?" Reiji asked.
"I'm guessing they ran off somewhere… great." Masumi added.
Reira pulled the jumper of Reiji and they turned around. Standing there Shark.
