A/N: First things first i just wanna say I'm sorry this chapter came out a little later than the previous ones and sadly the next couple may come out late as well too.
This is all due to the fact that i recently had a family member pass away and I'm currently dealing with that.
However, this does not mean that I'm giving up on this story. I still intend to keep writing and give you guys a great story to read. I'm just saying it just won't being coming out as fast as it was for a little bit.
Thank you guys for your support and understanding.
Now, on with the story!
Disclaimer: I do not own Avatar the last Air-Bender or it's associated properties.
After Huu and the Swamp-benders helped the Gaang navigate their way out of the swamp they quickly resumed their journey to Gaoling.
They were currently camped out in a clearing with their belongings gathered on a nearby trio of tree stumps as they slept.
Sokka and Katara were sleeping in their sleeping bags by the remains of their fire, Aang was snuggled up against one of Appa's soft legs, and Dijin was in his Earth-tent.
As the group slept Momo was crouched by Sokka's head due to the Water Tribe Warrior having a beetle crawling on his face.
Momo watched the small insect like hawk and right when the beetle was going to enter Sokka's mouth Momo quickly reached his paw out and grabbed the beetle just as it went inside.
Sokka was instantly woken up by the Lemur-Bat shoving its arm in his mouth before he spit it out and shouted "Ugh! Momo! What are you doing in my mouth?!"
Momo just ate the beetle while Sokka frowned at the small animal and said "Momo, we really have to talk about you respecting my boundaries."
Suddenly however, everyone was woken up as they felt the ground start to shake.
Dijin's Earth tent came down quickly revealing him in his usual outfit minus his new gauntlets prepared to fight, Katara and Sokka sat up from in their sleeping bags surprised, and Aang jumped up from his place on Appa's leg.
Next thing they knew they were quickly surrounded by five Komodo-Rhino riders each seeming to wield a different type of Weapon.
The first rider seemed to be their leader, He was bald save for a small strip of hair at the top of his head which he dyed orange and made it to look like a flame, he had reddish brown eyes, he had a brown fu-man-chu mustache that hung down to his chin, he also had a brown small pointed soul patch on his chin, he wore black and red steel armor that covered his chest, stomach, and shoulders, he wore a steel spiked black and red forearm gauntlet on his left arm while he had a smaller wrist guard on his right arm, on his lower body he had on black loose-fitting pants with a black and red battle-kilt belted around his waist, and for shoes he wore black curved steel toe boots.
The second rider seemed to be a large man being over 6 feet and 5 inches tall, he was also bald save for some black hair he had behind his head that spread out across his shoulders, he had black bushy eyebrows, he had a bushy mustache with a long beard that was braided and went to his mid-chest, he wore a grey robe that went to his shins, he was also wearing a pair of hakama pants, the robe and pants were held together by a belt with a gold buckle, over the robe he wore studded leather armor that covered his shoulders and chest, in his right hand he held a six foot long wide bladed spear, and for shoes he wore a pair of black boots.
The third rider was a skinny man having long black hair that was tied in a tall top-not, he had red tribal tattoos that covered his eyes, he wore a grey long sleeve shirt under a brown robe that cut-off at his stomach, on his wrists were leather wrist guards, on his right hand he had a leather glove while he wore a custom glove on his left that only covered his thumb, index, and middle finger, In his hands he held a long-bow with a flaming arrow notched and ready to fire, he was wearing grey form fitting pants that had leather thigh guards on the sides, and on his feet were Tai Chi shoes with bandages wrapped around his ankles.
The fourth rider was definitely unique. His whole body including his hands and feet were covered in black and red plate armor with a helmet that had a slitted red face plate. The armor hid his physique and face from the Gaang but they could see he had a belt around his waist that was filled with explosives judging by the fuses they saw.
The Final rider they saw was a dark-skinned man, the only hair he seemed to have was a high braided ponytail on the side of his head, his sideburns grew upwards forming a mustache on his face, he wore no shirt save for studded wooden spaulder on his left shoulder, he had a pair of thick brown leather gloves that held a weighted ball and chain which was connected to a spindle on his waist, for pants he wore a ragged brown kilt he had tied together with a white rope, and for shoes he wore black steel toed boots with white bandages around his ankles.
The leader held his right hand up bending a ball of fire showing he was a Fire-bender before shouting "Give up! We have you surrounded!"
Aang, Katara, and Dijin instantly went towards Appa while Sokka was still trying to crawl out of his sleeping bag.
The rider with the bow saw this and fired a couple arrows at Sokka to try and prevent him from escaping.
Sokka quickly crawled out of his sleeping bag as the arrows penetrated the fabric and he dashed away to the others shouting "Come on, come on, come on!"
However, once the Gaang made it to Appa Katara realized she forgot something important and shouted "Wait, my scrolls!" she then quickly turned around and ran towards one of the stumps where their stuff was.
As Katara ran to get her scrolls Aang realized he forgot something as well and shouted "My staff!" he then ran towards another tree stump where his staff was resting.
Then after Aang went to get his staff Dijin remembered he had left his gift from Master Pakku on the stumps too while shouting "My gauntlets!" Next, he quickly dashed to the stump where his Gauntlets were sitting as the others got their own items.
Once Katara got close to her scrolls the rider with the spear showed up and twirled his weapon before stabbing it into the tree stump next to her scrolls.
Katara unintimated by the display simply used her water-skin to wave her hands at the rider sending a stream of water at his weapon before freezing it in place.
The rider looked at his weapon in shock and struggled to get it free while Katara smirked and grabbed her scrolls before heading back to Appa.
While Aang was running to get his staff, the dark-skinned rider went after him as he threw his weighted ball and chain at a tree and had his mount tear it down blocking Aang's path.
Aang just Air-bent himself up so he could jump and flip over the tree before he continued to go after his staff.
However, another rider the one wearing plate armor used his gloves to ignite a couple of his explosives and threw them at Aang.
Aang who had just grabbed his staff frowned at the weapons before twirling his staff and knocking the bombs back towards the rider who threw them.
The rider was then forced to abandon his mount as he jumped off and just barely escaped the ensuing explosion while Aang made his way over to Appa.
Over with Dijin he had just gotten to his gauntlets and put them on when suddenly he had to duck down lest he get burned by a Fire-blast.
He quickly turned around and got into an Earth-bending stance as he faced the leader of the riders.
The two didn't say a word instead the leader quickly punched his fist forward firing off another Fire-blast while Dijin just crossed his arms and created an Earth-wall before diving underground.
The Leader had his mount charge the wall and shatter it but he was confused when he saw no one there. His confusion was short lived though as his mount's legs were suddenly pulled underground trapping it.
The leader didn't get to question what was happening due to Dijin bursting out of the ground and kneeing the Fire-bender in the face with an earth encased knee.
The Fire-bender fell to the ground in a heap before grabbing his face in pain as Dijin smirked and ran to join the others.
Once everyone was onboard Aang quickly cracked Appa's reigns saying "Appa. Yip,Yip!"
As they flew away Sokka reached behind himself to grab his boomerang but his eyes widened when he felt nothing but air on his back.
He then leaned over the saddle and shouted "Wait, my boomerang!"
Katara grabbed her brothers shoulder saying "There's no time!"
Sokka upset at her statement said "Oh sure, there's time to grab your scrolls, time for Aang's staff, and time for Dijin's gauntlets, but none for my boomerang!"
Katara didn't sugar coat the situation and just simply said "That's correct."
Sokka just held his head down depressed saying "Oh." Sokka then watched in despair as his beloved boomerang got farther and farther away from him.

After escaping the supposed bounty hunters, the group decided it would be best if Aang wore his hat so as not to get recognized.
The group had decided to stop by a small stall on the side of the road to get some food and a few supplies since they left what they had behind.
While Katara was buying things Aang and Dijin were trying to help Sokka feel better who was sitting on the ground depressed after losing his boomerang.
Aang spoke first saying "Sorry about your boomerang, Sokka."
Dijin spoke next saying "I am too. I know how much a weapon can mean to a warrior."
Sokka just stared at the ground saying "I feel like I've lost part of my identity." Sokka then got upset and stood up while grabbing Aang and pointing at his head saying "Imagine if you lost your Arrow" He then pointed at Katara and said "Or if Katara lost her hair loopies." He then pointed at Dijin saying "Or if Dijin lost his... robe."
Katara after hearing her brother simply walked over to him and gave him a hug saying "I'm sorry bro." She then leaned back and held his shoulders while saying "Who knows? it is a boomerang after all, maybe it'll come back to you."
Sokka just smiled at his sister while the clerk for the stall placed a basket of groceries on the counter for the group while saying "Here's your produce, ponytail guy."
Sokka just hunched forward depressed saying "I used to be called boomerang guy." he then grabbed the basket of food while Katara paid the clerk with some money given to her by Master Pakku.
The clerk looked at the money surprised and said "Hey, Water Tribe money! I've never seen this before."
Katara looked at the clerk a little concerned and asked "Is that okay?"
The clerk just smiled and said "As long as it's money."
The clerk then closed his shop for the day before walking away and saying "Have a good Avatar day."
Aang perked up after hearing that and asked "Avatar day? What's that?"
The clerk just turned around and continued walking saying "You guys are going to the festival, right? Just follow this road and It'll take you guys there. Bye now." he then turned around and walked off to wherever he was going.
The Gaang watched the clerk leave before they decided to go and see what this so-called festival was all about and headed down the road.
xxLine Breakxx
After walking for a little while the group came across a small town known as Chin Village where the Avatar day festival was held.
As the quartet explored the town sampling food, listening to music, and other things Aang spoke up saying "There's a holiday for the Avatar. Who knew?"
Dijin spoke up next saying "Hey guys look! A float of Avatar Kyoshi." Dijin then pointed at the road next to them and they saw that a parade was happening where an Avatar Kyoshi float was slowly going down the road.
The group made their way through the crowd to get a better look and once they found a good spot Sokka spoke up next saying "Hey look, they have a float of Avatar Roku too." and sure enough right behind Kyoshi was a huge float of Avatar Roku as well.
Aang smiled at the sight and said "Having a huge festival in your honor is great, but frankly it's just nice to be appreciated."
Sokka just took a bite out of some kind of food before saying with his mouth full "And it's nice to appreciate their deep-fried festival food."
Katara suddenly got excited as she saw another float which looked like Aang so she pointed at it while saying "Aang, look!"
Aang looked at where Katara was pointing and whistled in awe before saying "That's the biggest me I've ever seen."
The Gaang then watched as all three Avatar floats were lined up next to each other while a man wearing only shorts ran down the main road towards the floats holding a torch.
Sokka watched the display in interest while saying "They have a torch. That's a nice prop. It's bright, dangerous..." Next, Sokka took a big whiff of the air and said "It smells manly"
Dijin looked at Sokka weirdly before saying "Did you just smell another man?"
Sokka's entire face turned bright red in embarrassment before shouting "NO! I was just saying the torch is manly!"
Dijin just looked away from Sokka and moved a couple steps away from him.
Sokka just looked at the Earth-bender pleadingly saying "Come on Dijin, It's not like that!"
Sokka was unable to plea with his friend further due to Katara saying "Shut up Sokka, something weird is happening."
Sokka raised an eyebrow and watched along with the others as the man with the torch picked up speed and was running straight towards the Kyoshi float. The runner then let out a roar saying "Raaahhhhhhh" before jumping straight through the Kyoshi float lighting it on fire with his torch.
The Gaang then watched in horror as the runner began to set the other Floats ablaze while the whole village cheered him on and chanted "Down with the Avatar, Down with the Avatar!" Next the runner ran up to the roof of a building and beat his chest with his available hand before yelling again and throwing his torch onto the Aang floats head setting it on fire.
Katara having had enough of this horrible display ran forward and with some nearby jars of water she waved her arms up creating a large wave of water before waving her arms down sending the water at the floats to put out the fires on all three.
The crowd booed Katara for her actions while Dijin stood in front of her in an Earth-bending stance ready to protect her should the need arise.
One of the people shouted at the two saying "Those party poopers are ruining Avatar day!"
Aang upset at the people for their actions Air-bent himself up to the shoulder of the Aang float and shouted at the crowd saying "Those Party Poopers are my Friends." Aang then grabbed his hat and ripped it off showing his tattoos to the crowd.
The crowd gasped in shock before one individual said "It's the Avatar himself!"
Another person spoke up this one saying "He's going to kill us all with his evil Avatar powers!"
Aang surprised by their outbursts said "No, I'm not, I-"
However, before Aang could say anything else the crowd began to scream in fear while some people even dropped to the ground and started cowering.
One of the people that was cowering on the ground, a man, suddenly spoke up saying "I suggest you leave you're not welcome here, Avatar."
Katara upset at the man's tone said angrily "Why not? Aang helps people."
Aang then floated down and walked between Katara and Dijin saying "It's true. I'm on your side."
The man who spoke just stood up and snarled at Aang before saying "On our side? I find that hard to swallow considering what you did to our people in your past life!" The man then pointed at Aang accusingly
Dijin also upset at the man's attitude towards Aang spoke up saying "Who are you to be making such bold statements and furthermore what did Aang's past life do that was so terrible?"
The man who had been speaking snorted and said "My name is Tong and I am the Mayor of this great village." The man then pointed at Aang again saying "And the Avatars past life Kyoshi murdered our glorious leader, 'Chin the Great' over 300 years ago."
Aang looked at the man completely stunned while Dijin and the others finally took notice of Tong's appearance.
He had black hair that was combed back but his sideburns grew down into bushy mutton chops, he had black eyes, he had a small black fu man chu mustache, he had on a tan officials hat, he wore a brown robe with large cuffed sleeves that went to his ankles but split at his waist, under the robe he wore a tan dress shirt with gold buttons, lastly, he had on white puffy pants and wore brown curled toed slippers for shoes.
Aang then spoke up in a disbelieving tone saying "You... you think I... Murdered someone?" The words left Aang's mouth brokenly as he just couldn't fathom hurting anyone on purpose.
Another random citizen spoke up again this one being a slightly disfigured old man and while he spoke, he had a lisp as he said "We used to be a gweat society Befowe you killed ouw leadew." The man then pointed at his disfigured face and said "Now look at us!"
Katara and Dijin both placed their hands on Aang's shoulders before Katara spoke up saying "Aang would never do something like that. No Avatar would and It's not fair for you all to question his honor!"
Dijin then stood in front of Aang protectively and said "And if anyone has a problem with Aang then they will have to go through me first." Dijin then glared at the crowed daring them to try something.
One random man thought he would be brave and shouted "Hey everyone let's show these Avatar lovers what we think of their so-called honor!" the man then turned around and lifted his robe showing his rear end to the trio before letting out a huge fart.
The crowd laughed at the man while Dijin frowned and simply raised his fingers upwards Earth-bending a small pillar right into the man's backside making him scream and get launched through a wall of a nearby building.
The crowd immediately stopped laughing and stared at the hole where the man lied unconscious before they all looked at Dijin who glared at the crowd and said "Anyone else have anything to say?"
The crowd just backed away and shook their heads not wanting to end up like the unconscious man before Aang walked forward and grabbed Dijin's arm saying "It's okay. Let me handle this." Dijin felt reluctant to do so but stepped aside and let Aang speak to the Mayor and the crowd.
Aang walked in front of the crowd and spoke saying "Give me a chance to clear my name."
Tong just clasped his hands in his sleeves while he replied "The only way to prove your innocence is to stand trial."
Aang with a determined frown replied "I'll gladly stand trial."
Tong unclasped his hands and said "You'll have to follow all our rules. That includes paying bail."
Dijin stepped forward saying "That's ridiculous! If you think Aang would agree to-"
Aang cut off Dijin saying "No problem I can pay bail."
Katara, Sokka, and Dijin all face palmed themselves after hearing Aang say that and knew nothing good would come of it.
Chin village jail 30 minutes later...
Half an hour later the Gaang could be found in the local jailhouse because Aang had attempted to pay his bail with the Water Tribe money given to them by Master Pakku but Chin Village didn't accept Water Tribe currency. So, after that incident Tong decided to raise Aang's bail to 200 gold pieces which was way more than the group had.
So now Sokka, Katara, and Dijin were looking at Aang through some metal bars as Aang looked back at them from the other side while also wearing a wooden stockade around his neck and hands.
The trio just gave Aang deadpan stares before he said awkwardly "How was I supposed to know they wouldn't accept Water Tribe money?"
Dijin just sarcastically replied "I don't know. Maybe the fact that they all hate you would be a good tip off!"
Sokka spoke next saying "Ok, so some people don't like you, big deal. There's a whole nation of Fire-benders who hate you too." Sokka then pointed behind himself at the door saying "Now enough sitting in jail let's bust out of here."
Aang looked at the trio saying "I can't."
Sokka confused said "Sure you can! I 've seen you do it tons of times." Sokka then started to make crude Air-bending gestures while saying "A little whoosh, swish, swish, swish! Kaboom! Then an Air-bending slice! And we're on our way."
Dijin and Katara gave Sokka dry stares before Katara looked at Aang and said "I think what master swish is trying to say, is your supposed to be out there training to save the world not sitting here in a jail cell."
Dijin spoke next saying "I agree. We have bigger things to worry about then some town holding onto a 300-year-old grudge."
Aang just looked at the ground and said "I can't save the world with people thinking I'm a murderer either." Aang then looked at his friends desperately and said "I need you guys to help prove my innocence."
Sokka sarcastically replied "How are we going to do that? The crime happened over 300 years ago."
Aang then gained a light bulb in his head and thought a of way to get Sokka to agree saying "That's ok, Sokka." Aang then looked away slightly saying "For some reason, I thought you were an expert detective." Aang then smiled at Sokka while pointing at him
Sokka instantly gained a smug smirk before saying "Well, I guess I could be classified as such."
Katara getting what Aang was planning played along saying "Yeah! Back home he was famous for solving the mystery of the missing seal jerky."
Sokka then started to ramble saying "Everyone wanted to blame it on the Polar-Leopard, but I figured out it was Old Man Jarco wearing Polar-Leopard boots..."
As Sokka rambled Aang was mimicking him but exaggerating his movements heavily making Katara and Dijin cover their mouths to try and stop themselves from laughing.
Once Sokka finished rambling Aang spoke up asking "So you'll help me with my case?"
Sokka held a hand to his chin before putting his hands on his hips saying "Fine. But I'm gonna need some new props. Be right back." Sokka then left the jail leaving a confused trio of benders behind.
After a few minutes Sokka came back to the trio now wearing a blue detective's hat with an extendable monocle attached to its brim that fit over his left eye.
Sokka adjusted his hat before he extended his monocle saying "I'm ready."
Katara and Dijin couldn't take it anymore and started laughing at Sokka making him stare at them saying "What's so funny?" the two just laughed harder before they calmed down and then the three of them began their investigation.
xxLine Breakxx
The trio had decided to start their investigation they would talk with the Mayor first.
so now Tong was leading them to the supposed crime scene where Kyoshi killed Chin.
Tong walked a few feet ahead them before saying "Ah, here we are." he then stepped aside so the trio could get a look at the site.
They were standing on a stair case that led to the edge of cliff that was a least a 200-foot drop which led to the ocean, in the center of the area was a shrine with a bunch of tributes to Chin the Great adorning it, and in front of the stairs was a 10-foot-tall statue of who was supposedly Chin the Great.
As the trio looked around Tong spoke up saying "This is the crime scene. Look around all you want."
Tong then walked to the edge of the cliff and pointed at a small dainty foot print in the rock saying "And here is the foot print left by the Killer, Kyoshi herself."
Tong then walked next to the shrine and pointed at it saying "It was at sunset, 370 years ago today, that she emerged from this shrine and struck down Chin the Great."
Tong then walked over to the statue of Chin and held his arms out to the statue while saying "After that tragic day, we built this statue to immortalize our great leader. Feel free to appreciate it. Now I have other things to attend to." Tong then left to do whatever it was he did.
After Tong was Gone Sokka used his monocle to start looking at the stone work of the statue before running over and doing the same to the shrine.
After looking both over Sokka spoke up saying "This shrine and this statue were cut from the same stone. And we know that the statue was built after Chin died."
Katara getting the idea said "So If they were built at the same time..."
Dijin also picking up on things continued her thought saying "Then that means that-"
Dijin and Katara were cut off by Sokka who got irritated at the two and got in their faces shouting "Shh! I wanna solve it!"
The two frowned at him before he continued speaking and pointed at the shrine saying "Then that means that Kyoshi never set foot in this shrine."
Katara replied "That's a big hole in the Mayors story."
Dijin spoke next saying "But it's still not enough to prove Aang's Innocence."
Sokka looked at the two before looking at the ocean and said "Your right." He then pulled a dragon pipe out of nowhere and put it to his lips but instead of smoke bubbles came out of it. He then spoke again saying "We need to go to Kyoshi Island."
Katara and Dijin stood next to each other and both exclaimed at the same time "Where did you get that thing?"
Dijin then shook his head a second before saying "Wait, did you say Kyoshi Island? I thought that place was impossible to find?"
Katara looked at Dijin with wide eyes realizing he hadn't been with them when they met Suki and the other Kyoshi Warriors and said "Aang had actually been there before and knew how to get there." Katara then gained an excited look before saying "Wait till you meet Suki and the Kyoshi warriors I bet you'll have loads in common."
Dijin started gaining an interested look after hearing that and thought to himself "An Island with a group of warriors that has a fighting style which has been passed down for the past 300 years. I can think of worse places."
The trio then left the "crime scene" and went to find Appa so they could get to Kyoshi island to find out a little more about Avatar Kyoshi and what happened 370 years ago.
xxLine Breakxx
After the trio found Appa they quickly headed out to Kyoshi Island. Due to Katara and Sokka being there before they knew exactly where to go and the trip was actually quite short.
So now the trio was beginning to make their decent and land by a Statue of Avatar Kyoshi on the island.
They're landing did not go unnoticed by the islanders and soon a huge crowd of people had gathered where Appa was going to land and everyone was cheering and acting hysterical one man even foamed at the mouth while passing out.
As soon as the trio landed, they climbed down from Appa and faced the crowd. However, the crowd stopped cheering when they noticed Aang was not with them.
One little girl walked forward with a frown and said with a pout "Where's Aangy?"
Katara walked forward while talking to the little girl saying "He couldn't be here, Koko."
After hearing Aang wasn't with them the crowd groaned in disappointment and dispersed while the man who foamed at the mouth earlier stood up and looked around awkwardly before hiding his face in his shirt and running off embarrassed.
As the islander's left one elderly man stayed behind and Katara approached him saying "Oyaji, Aang is in jail. The town of Chin says he murdered their leader in a past life as Avatar Kyoshi."
Oyaji looked completely appalled before saying "Kyoshi? That's crazy talk. I'll take you to her shrine perhaps there we can find some answers."
Oyaji then turned around and started to lead the group through the town and towards a secluded part of the island where Kyoshi's Shrine was located.
As the group traveled Dijin got a look at their guide, He was old probably being in his mid-sixties, he had grey hair that was tied up in a pineapple like ponytail, he had green eyes, he had a large bushy beard and mustache with the beard going to his mid-chest, he wore a purple robe that went to his ankles with large cuffs, he wore a blue sash around his waist to hold his robe closed, and on his feet, he had a simple pair of Tabi socks and rice sandles.
After getting a good look at their guide Dijin looked around their surroundings and couldn't help noticing something was missing so he said "Hey Oyaji, Katara told me that the Kyoshi Warriors were here but I don't see any of them around."
Oyaji looked back at Dijin as he walked and said "Ah, That's due Avatar Aang and his two friends here. They inspired Suki and the other Kyoshi warriors to help more and to make a difference in the war effort."
Sokka looked at the ground somewhat disappointed as he said "Oh well... That's great." Sokka then put on a fake smile saying "I guess our groups reunion will have to wait."
Oyaji just let out a small chuckle and said "Knowing how things go with you and Avatar Aang I'm sure you will see each other eventually."
However, behind the two Katara and Dijin shared knowing looks with one another before Katara made a heart over Sokka's head while Dijin mimicked an arrow going through it making them both laugh quietly to themselves as they approached Kyoshi's shrine.
Once inside Oyaji started to speak up saying "This temple was converted into a shrine to Kyoshi." He then pointed at some objects in the room saying "The clerics tell us that these relics are still connected to Kyoshi's spirit." Dijin and Sokka went to look around while Katara went to the right side of the room where a lavish tan, green, and gold kimono was hanging on display.
Oyaji noticed this and looked at Kimono with Katara while saying "Avatar Kyoshi grew up penniless in the streets so when she was given this Kimono as a gift at her induction ceremony, she made sure to take extra care of it since it was the first possession she ever owned."
Katara ran her hand over the finely made fabric and said "She had exquisite taste."
Oyaji with a wide-eyed look made a few steps forward saying "Yes, but please don't touch. Everything here is very old."
Then an ignorant Sokka spoke up while dangling one of Kyoshi's fans between his fingers saying "These fans... they were her weapons, no?" Oyaji ran forward and grabbed the fan from Sokka's hand and placed it back gently on its display before saying in an irritated tone "Also refrain from touching the fans."
Next, Dijin spoke up from a corner of the room while holding a wooden case full of cosmetics and face-paint saying "Was this what she used to store her war-paint?"
A fully pissed off Oyaji Growled before stomping over and snapping the lid shut on the case before he snatched it out of Dijin's hands and angrily said "For the last time! When I say don't touch, I mean don't touch!"
All three of them bowed their heads saying "Sorry." before Katara noticed something and crouched down on the floor and saw a large pair of boots underneath the kimono. She then pointed at the boots saying "Were these her boots? Her feet must have been enormous."
Oyaji just crossed his arms and proudly said "The biggest of any Avatar."
Dijin eyes widened as he remembered the tiny footprint at the "crime scene" and suddenly said "Wait minute, Big feet?" Katara suddenly stood up coming to the same conclusion and said "Small footprints? There's no way-"
They were cut off by Sokka again who cleared his throat while pointing at his hat and pipe saying "Special outfit, fancy hat and pipe, do any of these things mean anything to you two?"
Katara and Dijin just gave him deadpan stares before Katara dramatically said "I'm sorry. Your right." she then bowed at the waist and held her arm out saying "Please tell us oh great detective Sokka."
Sokka just frowned at his sister while Dijin chuckled openly before Sokka got back into character and said "Ah, hah! There's no way Kyoshi could have made that footprint. And therefore, there is nothing linking her to the crime scene."
The two benders just gave him some more deadpan stares as Dijin said "Brillant, Sokka we would have been lost without you."
Sokka again frowned at the two before he noticed a mural at the back of the shrine and walked over to it along with the others.
Oyaji seeing what they were looking at spoke up while motioning to the picture saying "This piece is called 'The Birth of Kyoshi.' It was painted at sunrise on the day this Island was founded. Why, it was today in fact, 370 years ago."
Sokka sputtered out some gibberish before grabbing Oyaji by his robes collar and said "370 years? Wait, are you sure it was today?"
Oyaji just roughly made Sokka let go of him before brushing himself off saying "Well, Seeing as it's Kyoshi day, Yes, I'm sure."
Sokka noticed something about the painting and gained a smirk as he said "This ceremony didn't take place at sunrise, it took place at sunset. Look at the shadows on the painting."
Sokka stepped away so Dijin and Katara could get a good look and as they looked Katara said "They point east." Dijin spoke up next saying "So the sun must have been in the west."
Oyaji spoke up next saying "So, what?
However, before they could reply Sokka shoved both of them to the floor making them grunt and yelp respectively while Sokka replied to Oyaji saying "If Kyoshi was in the ceremony at sunset, she couldn't have been in Chin committing the crime." Sokka then held his pipe dramatically before saying "She has an alibi."
Sokka then gained a happy smirk before a pissed off Katara grabbed his pipe and hit him over the head with it making him hunch over saying "Owwww." However, next a pissed off Dijin grabbed the pipe and before Sokka could react Dijin hit him so hard with it he ended of face first on the floor spread eagle.
Dijin then said in an angry tone "Blow bubbles out of that!"
xxLine Breakxx
After Sokka recovered the trio headed back to Chin village to make their case for Aang's trial.
After landing the trio met the Mayor at the jailhouse where Katara was currently talking to him outside of Aang's cell saying "Honorable Mayor, we've prepared a solid defense for the Avatar. We did an investigation, and found some very strong evidence."
Mayor Tong looked at the trio with a raised eyebrow saying "Evidence?" he then threw his head back and laughed saying "Hahahaha! That's not how our court system works."
Aang looked at Tong confused before asking "Then how can I prove my innocence?"
Tong just smirked at them and said "Simple. I say what happened, and then you say what happened, and then I decide who is right. That's why we call it justice because it's just us."
Dijin instantly gained a furious look after hearing that and said while stepping forward "That is complete bullshit and a mockery of actual justice!"
Tong just smiled arrogantly and said "This is Chin village and if you disagree with how we do things well too bad, you better get used to it."
Tong the made to leave while laughing and said "The trial will begin in half an hour at the crime scene. Be ready to present your case by then."
As Tong left, he didn't notice Katara and Sokka holding Dijin back from pummeling the arrogant Mayor but after a few minutes he calmed down and Sokka spoke to Aang saying "Ok Aang, listen up. We went to Kyoshi Island and found some stuff out so I'm gonna need you to pay close attention so you can present your case to the Mayor. Got it?"
Aang nodded his head nervously before Sokka went to tell him everything they found out while Dijin and Katara had slightly worried looks on their faces.
After Sokka explained everything to Aang they all were escorted to the trial site where a huge crowd was gathered to watch the proceedings.
Sokka, Dijin, and Katara were seated in the front row while Aang was standing to side in front of the crowd with an armed guard standing next to him.
Tong walked so he was in front of the crowd and began his prosecution saying "Everyone loved Chin the Great, because he was so great." Tong then pointed at Aang and said "Then the Avatar showed up and killed him, and that's what happened." Tong then placed his hands in his sleeves and smiled while walking away.
The trio in the stands all had hanging jaws while Dijin said quietly "That's all? Seriously!"
The guard next to Aang spoke up saying "The accused will now present its argument."
Sokka looked at Aang and said "You can do it Aang, just remember the evidence we talked about."
Aang just looked away awkwardly saying "Riiiiiight. Evidence." unable to admit he barely remembered anything Sokka told him.
Aang then looked at the crowd and said loudly "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm about to tell you what really happened, and I will prove it with facts." Aang then held his finger up and said "Fact number one: uh..." Aang paused unable to remember what Sokka had told him.
Dijin getting frustrated at the situation harshly whispered "The footprints!"
Aang brightened up after hearing that and said "Oh, yeah." he then looked at the crowd again and said "You see, I have very large feet." Aang then pointed at his feet which were actually smaller in size instead of bigger.
The crowd just gave him blank stares as Aang gained a slightly panicked look and said "Furthermore." he pointed at the shrine and the statue of Chin saying "Your shrine... matches your statue."
Again, the crowd just gave him blank stares as he tried to defend himself again saying "But I was in a painting at sunset."
Aang finished by holding his hands out while smiling and saying "So, there you have it. I'm not guilty."
The trio in the stands all face palmed themselves with each of them giving a comment.
Sokka spoke first saying "He's doomed."
Katara spoke next saying "This cannot be happening."
Dijin finished them off by saying "Oh, great."
However, Dijin suddenly got an Idea after remembering something Oyaji said on Kyoshi Island. He then quickly stood up and shouted "Mayor Tong by the right of the accused, I call for a brief recess so the Avatar can have time to make one last defense!"
Mayor Tong just laughed and said "I don't understand why? you're just prolonging the inevitable but I'll humor you just because I know it'll entertain me."
Tong then went into a laughing fit while Dijin looked at Katara and said "Come with me, we're heading back to Kyoshi Island."
Dijin then took off towards Appa with Katara following close behind him saying "Why? What's there that's so important?"
Dijin just climbed onto Appa with Katara following him getting the reigns as he said "Remember when Oyaji said Kyoshi's spirit was inside her clothes and other relics."
Katara cracked Appa's reigns making him take off as she said "Yeah what about it?"
Dijin finished his explanation saying "If Aang can connect with his past lives then maybe wearing Kyoshi's armor and weapons will trigger something and Kyoshi can speak for herself."
Katara's eyes widened realizing what he meant and said "Then let's hurry. We don't know how much time we got until they sentence Aang." she then cracked Appa's reigns to make him go faster so they could get back to Aang in time.

Luckily, due to Katara knowing the way to the island the trip was rather quick except for the argument they had with Oyaji about borrowing Kyoshi's relics. However, in the end they were able to convince the old man as long as they returned the items unharmed.
So as soon as they landed back in Chin village Katara convinced the guard watching Aang to let him leave so she could prepare him for his defense.
After that the crowd began to murmur to themselves while Dijin took a seat next to Sokka who asked "Where did you guys go? They almost started without you."
Dijin just replied "Working on a last resort."
Sokka raised an eyebrow at the answer before Katara walked back into the trial saying "Mayor Tong. I'd like for the court to hear one last testimony."
Tong just stomped on the ground like a child saying "I've already told you! It's just me and the accused. You can't call any witnesses."
Katara just gave Tong a determined look and said "This isn't just any witness. I'm going to call... Avatar Kyoshi herself!" Katara then motioned with her arm behind herself revealing Aang but he was wearing Avatar Kyoshi's outfit including her war paint.
Katara made to sit down with the others while Sokka looked at her like she was crazy and asked "What are you doing?"
Dijin answered for her saying "Kyoshi is Aang's past life and Oyaji said some of her spirit remains in the clothes so maybe Aang wearing them can trigger something to happen."
Sokka started to mess with his detective hat and said "I do believe in the power of stuff."
The trio just watched on waiting for something to happen while Mayor Tong shouted "This is utter nonsense and a waste of time!"
Katara quickly held her hands up and pleadingly said "Please, if you could just wait one more second! I'm sure Kyoshi will appear."
Tong just scoffed but relented and waited with everyone else for Kyoshi to show.
However, after another ten minutes the crowd was getting angry and the Gaang was getting nervous.
Aang seeing how things were going tried to do an impression of Kyoshi by placing one of her fans in front of the lower part of his face while talking in a very poor girly voice saying "Hey, everybody. Avatar Kyoshi here."
Tong fed up with the display walked forward so he was next to Aang and said "This is ridiculous." Tong then faced the crowd and pointed at Aang saying "For the murder of Chin the Great, the court finds the Avatar..."
Tong was cut off suddenly as the sky darkened and lighting starting flashing across the sky.
The crowd and Tong screamed in terror as Aang suddenly slumped forward a second before he snapped to attention his eyes and tattoos glowing blue. Next, a whirlwind of dust and air surrounded Aang blocking him from view before the dust blew away revealing Avatar Kyoshi standing before them all in person.
Kyoshi looked at the crowd gathered before her and said "I killed Chin the Conqueror."
Sokka, Katara, Dijin, and the crowd all gasped at hearing Kyoshi's confession but Kyoshi held her hand up in the stop motion telling them all to let her speak.
She then gained a hardened expression before saying "Chin was a horrible Tyrant. He was expanding his army all across the Four Nations and when they came to the neck of the peninsula where we lived, he demanded our immediate surrender. I warned him I would not stand by as he killed my people and took our home but he would not back down."
Kyoshi closed her eyes for second and paused remembering everything from that day before she looked at the crowd again and continued saying "It was then on that day, we split from the mainland. I entered the Avatar state and by using the power of the elements I completely separated my home while shaming Chin. Chin however was stubborn in his ways and refused to move from the spot where I shamed him and fell to his death."
Kyoshi closed her eyes solemnly before she finished saying "I created Kyoshi Island so my people could be safe from invaders."
After that another whirlwind of dust and air appeared blocking Kyoshi from view while the sky went back to normal before once again the dust blew away now revealing Aang on the ground still wearing Kyoshi's clothes.
The Gaang ran forward to make sure he was okay and while Katara helped Aang sit up the Air-bender asked "So... what just happened?"
Katara and the others all grimaced before she said "You kind of confessed. Sorry."
Tong chose then to stand up after cowering on the ground and shouted "And I find you guilty!" Tong then shouted at the guards saying "Bring out the wheel of punishment!"
Dijin stepped to stand protectively in front of Aang saying "If you think your even touching him then-"
He was cut off by Aang who grabbed his arm saying "Stop Dijin, don't make it any worse than it is. I said I would face judgment and I will."
Dijin was about to argue but Katara grasped his shoulder saying "Aang's right. We can't afford to fight off an entire town right now. Let's see what they plan to do and we can go from there."
Dijin just growled before saying "Fine, but if things go south town or no town, we're all getting out of here."
The siblings nodded their heads and said "We're with you."
The trio were then told to sit down as the guards brought out a spinning wheel with drawings of different punishments on it which one of them happened to be community service oddly enough.
The guard had Aang stand in front of the wheel before he said "The accused will now spin the wheel of punishment to determine his sentence."
Aang looked at his friends before he looked at the wheel and gulped before he grabbed it and spun it as hard as he could.
The trio in the stands were all hoping for the wheel to not land on anything horrible. Dijin was saying "Please don't land on bed of needles, please don't land on bed of needles." Sokka was just biting his nails in worry while Katara kept chanting "Community service! Please land on community service!"
Soon the wheel started to slow down and the trio began to smile because it looked like it was going to land on community service but their smiles vanished instantly when the wheel went one spot over and landed on boiled in oil.
The guard saw the wheel as well and announced "It looks like its boiled in oil."
Dijin looked at the water tribe siblings and said "Things have just gone south, you guy's ready?"
The siblings nodded their heads but before they could act the ground started shaking when suddenly a grenade landed in the center of area causing an explosion which frightened the crowd.
Next, the same Komodo-Rhino riders that the Gaang encountered before showed up surrounding everyone who was present.
The leader of the riders rode forward so everyone could see him as he shouted "We've come to claim this village for the Fire Lord! Tell us where your leader is so we may..." the rider with the spear then rode towards the statue of chin and with two swipes he made the statue crumble to pieces.
The Leader finished his thought saying "De-throne him."
One citizen did not hesitate to sell out Tong and pointed at him shouting "That's him over there!"
Tong instantly yelped in fear and crawled to hide behind the wheel of punishment and said desperately "Avatar, Do something!"
Aang just looked away from the Mayor with a coy look saying "I'm sorry, I can't. I'm supposed to boiled in oil in a few minutes."
Tong then quickly moved the wheel to community service and said in a panic "There! Community service, now serve our community and get rid of them!"
However, before Aang could make a move Dijin spoke up while walking next to Aang saying "Hold on Aang, don't do anything just yet."
The Mayor looked at Dijin shocked while the Earth-bender glared at him and said "You accused my friend of a crime he did not commit and were going to kill him for it. But now that your village is under attack you want him to save you?"
Dijin just shook his head before giving the Mayor a cold look which made him flinch as he said "The only way we will help you is if you admit Chin was nothing but a tyrant and Avatar Kyoshi is innocent of his murder. Until you say those exact words, we are not moving one finger to help you."
Tong looked at Dijin stunned then glanced at the Avatar but Aang just gave the Mayor a frown not moving until he did what Dijin said.
Tong then grit his teeth and shouted out so everyone could hear him "Chin the Great was nothing but a Tyrant! And Avatar Kyoshi is innocent of his murder!"
Dijin nodded his head in acceptance and looked at Aang saying "Sound good to you, Aang?"
Aang smiled and said "Sounds good to me Dijin, let's get to work."
Just as he said that a grenade landed between the two and just before it exploded Aang acted fast using Kyoshi's fans to Air-bend the explosive away where it detonated harmlessly away from everyone.
Aang then Air-bent himself out of Kyoshi's clothes so they didn't get ruined and went after the leader of riders while Dijin went after the spear user.
The spear user charged at Dijin and made to do a horizontal swipe with his spear but Dijin did a power slide barely dodging the large blade while raising his hand upwards slightly. Next, the earth under the Spear users Rhino erupted throwing the rider off and making him drop his spear.
The Rhino ran off without its master to guide it and the spear user went to grab his weapon only for Dijin's bare foot to stomp on the weapon before he kicked it up into his hands and gave it a twirl.
The weaponless rider got into a fighting stance while Dijin glared at him saying "You're not the only one who can use a spear."
Dijin then charged forward going for a thrust but the man jumped to the side dodging the attack. However, Dijin flipped the spear in his hands and was able to hit the rider in his head with the shaft of the weapon.
The man yelped in pain as he held the side of his head where he was struck while Dijin went for a horizontal swipe.
The man eyes widened before he jumped back to dodge again but some of his braided beard was cut off.
Dijin smirked however and spun the spear vertically hitting the rider right in his crotch making him collapse to his knees as he held his hurt privates.
Then while the man was incapacitated Dijin stabbed the spear into the ground and with a combination of Earth-bending and the weapon he swiped the spear forward sending a multitude of large rocks at the weaponless rider.
The man could only widen his eyes in fear and put his arms up in a desperate attempt to block. But the rocks hit him dead on launching him into the stands where he made a human sized crater and passed out.
Dijin nodded his head and dropped the spear while the leader of the riders shouted "Rough Rhino's! To the town!"
The riders quickly separated and went to attack different parts of the town while the Gaang went to stop them.
The Ball and chain rider was throwing his weapon and destroying nearby stalls while screaming. But his rampage was brought to halt by Katara who waved her arms up Water-bending some ice on the ground to make the rider stop.
The man scoffed and tried to throw his weapon at Katara but she just waved her arm to the side while bending her wrists creating an arc of Ice that made the weapon rebound and wrap around the rider.
The man just had an awkward gaze before Katara smirked and whipped the riders mount making the beast take off wildly since it's master could not guide it.
The Archer rider was firing flaming arrows at buildings but while he was distracted Sokka was trying to use his monocle on his hat to blind him with the sun.
The trick worked making the archer fire a blind shot which Sokka had to dodge.
However, unbeknownst to the two the explosives rider was right behind Sokka and the flaming arrow struck his supply of explosives making the man once again abandon his mount but this time he was unable to fully escape the explosion and was blasted through a building his helmet coming off in the process.
As the man's supplies landed everywhere a familiar weapon landed in front of Sokka making him smile ear to ear and shout "Boomerang! You do always come back!"
Sokka then held his beloved weapon close to himself but he didn't get to celebrate long as the Archer got ready to fire an arrow at him but with some quick thinking the Water Tribe warrior threw his bubble pipe at the archers bow while somehow managing to lodge the pipe over the notch of the archer's bow preventing him from firing anymore arrows.
Katara chose then to sneak up on the rider and used a water whip to cut the man's saddle making him fall to the ground with his foot stuck in his stirrup. Next, Katara whipped the beast's backside making the mount rear back and take off running dragging its master along the way.
Over with the leader Aang had led him to an alley way where they stood on either side. The leader just sneered at Aang before creating two fire balls in his hands and made his mount charge forward. Next, he placed his hands behind himself and made two jet-streams of flames to make his mount go faster.
Aang just ran forward and right before the leader reached him, he Air-bent himself onto the wall of the alley and jumped high into the air.
The leader saw this and aimed his hands upwards trying to burn Aang with his flames but Aang used Kyoshi's fans to create an Air-current that dispersed the flames as he flipped in the air and landed in a crouch.
The leader had his mount turn around and charge again so Aang created his Air-scooter and expertly maneuvered his way around and under the beast.
Aang then finished off the Fire-bender by jumping in the air and doing a double heel kick which created a powerful gust of Air that caught the rider off guard while also launching him through a wall knocking him out.
Aang calmed down once he saw Dijin and the others show up and he smiled at them in which they smiled back while Dijin said "Now, if this doesn't say your innocent, I don't know what will."
The Gaang then laughed before they made sure the riders were all tied up and ready to be taken away.

After the Gaang fought the Rough Rhinos, they contacted some local authorities that came and picked up the criminals while Tong insisted that the Gaang stay for the end of Avatar day.
So now it was evening and the Gaang was standing in front of a crowd as fireworks went off while Tong spoke to the crowd saying "From now on we'll celebrate a new Avatar day, in honor of Avatar Aang who saved us from the Rough Rhino invasion."
Tong then handed all four of them a bowl of some kind of food that was shaped like Aang.
Sokka looked at the dish and asked "What is this?"
Tong just smiled and said "That's our new festival food. Unfried dough." Tong then faced the crowd and said "May we eat it and be reminded of how on this day the Avatar was not boiled in oil."
The crowd cheered as Tong looked at the four expectantly waiting for them to try the treat.
Katara held the uncooked dough and it instantly started to drip while she grimaced saying "Happy Avatar day, everyone." she then reluctantly ate the uncooked food.
Aang, Sokka, and Dijin joined her while Sokka said "This is the worst town we've ever been to."
Dijin spoke as well saying "I couldn't agree more."
The Quartet just continued to eat the uncooked food while trying to leave the annoying village as soon as possible.
