Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 16 . I didn't know if I should put Aeron with the boys or not, but it seemed like a good idea. I wasn't sure if I needed to have the Trickster Gabriel pranking her or not. But this is what I came up with. Without further ado Chapter 16.

Chapter 16

Aeron had decided to get away from Sam and Dean for a little bit. Things were getting a tad bit heated in the motel room that she just couldn't stand. She was getting tired of their bickering and it was driving her insane. Hell there had been a few times that they had yelled at her and she just simply got up and left. The last argument really pissed her off and she thought that a walk would calm her down.

She had never really fought with the boys like that before. Yes maybe the usual bantering between the three of them but mainly between the brothers. But to be at each other's throats like that. Hell it was even hard for her to wrap her mind around it. They were angry at each other and that was something not normal.

SNSNSN

"Dean, just tell me where my computer is." Aeron told him to try to remain calm.

"I didn't take it Red. Ask Sammy."

"I didn't take her computer. I wouldn't take it without asking." Sam said, narrowing his eyes at his elder brother.

"Enough of this. God we got two lost computers and a car that has its tires flattened… This case is fucking getting out of hand. We should have never fucking taken it."

"You're the one that wanted to take this job." Dean said, narrowing eyes at her. "So it's on you."

"Fuck you." She shouted, grabbing her shoes and slipping them onto her feet.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"Away from the two of you."

"You can't just leave."Sam said looking at her with wide eyes

"Oh really says the guy who kissed me when he was drunk and apologized for it." She stormed out of the room.

Dean looked at Sam. "You should have never kissed her. You know romance does not go well with hunting."

"Dean shut it." Sam snapped.

SNSNSN

"Anne…" Bobby said getting out of his car. He was surprised to see her out here. He thought that she would be in the room with the boys unless they said something that pissed her off which was never a good sign. She was a firecracker after all.

"Bobby." She said with a small smile coming to her lips.

"Take me to those two idjits."

Aeron nodded her head. "Yeah. Maybe you can get through their heads. They've been fighting for a while now. It's beginning to really piss me off." She grumbled.

"They took it out on you." Bobby asked, looking at her. He had never thought that the boys would take it out on Aeron. The last time that he had seen them he thought that everything was okay. But this seemed to be a lot worse than what Sam and Dean had let it on to be.

"Dean told Sam that he thought that I took his computer. Which is impossible because I have my own and I think Dean hid it on purpose to keep Sam's anger at me."

Bobby shook his head. He had no idea what the heck he was going to do with those two boys. "How long has this been going on?"

"Honestly? Since we got here I think. Everything has been on edge since we arrived here. There's just too much stuff going on that doesn't make sense."

"What do you mean?" He said in confusion. What the hell was going on. Something not making sense. Now that was not good.

"Best we get inside."

Bobby nodded his head.

Aeron led him into the complex that they were staying at. "This is their room."

Bobby pounded on the door. He was going to give those two boys a scolding. A major scolding for taking it out on Aeron.

Sam slowly opened the door and saw Bobby and Aeron standing there. "Hey Bobby." He nodded his head to Aeron.

Aeron rolled her eyes. She pushed past Sam and walked across the room leaning against the wall.

"Boys." He said entering, putting his hand in his pockets.

Dean stood up and approached Bobby. "Hey Bobby."

"It's good to see you again so soon."

"Yeah, uh, thanks for coming. Come on in." Sam said softly.

Dean shook Bobby's hand firmly. "Thank god you're here."

"So um, what didn't you want to talk to me on the phone about?" Bobby questioned looking at the three hunters. He had to admit that this was weird. There was something going on between the three of them to cause such problems.

"It's this job we're working. We… we weren't sure you'd believe us."

"Until Red here said something." Dean said, jabbing his thumb towards Aeron.

Aeron rolled her eyes."Quit calling me Red. Deano."

Dean rolled his eyes at what she said.

"Well, I can believe a lot." Bobby scoffed at the thought that the boys didn't think he would believe them.

"Yeah, no, no, it's just, we've never seen anything like it…" Sam said, looking at Bobby.

"Not even close." Dean said, shaking his head.

"And we thought we could use some fresh eyes."

"Well, why don't you begin at the beginning?"

"You're going to be in for a wild ride Bobby." Aeron said softly.

"Well you need fresh eyes. So best start at the beginning and don't leave anything out."

"Yeah, um, alright." Sam gestured to the bed.

Bobby picks up an empty take out tray and peers at it. He set it aside and sat down.

Sam sat down in one of the chairs. "So, it all started when we caught wind of an obit. See, a professor took a nosedive from a fourth story window, only there's a campus legend that the building's haunted. So we pretested as reporters from the local paper."

SNSNSN

Sam sat at the table with Aeron with two of the students Curtis and Jen.

Sam set the voice recorder down onto the table.

"Yeah, we both had the professor for Ethics and Morality." Curtis told them.

"Yeah? So why do you think he did it?" Sam asked softly, trying to remain in his reporter disguise.

"Who knows?" Jen said, shaking her head. "I mean, he was tenured, with a wife and kids. His book is like a really big deal. Then again…" She leaned in a bit. "Who's to say it was suicide."

"Really?" Aeron said looking at the young woman.

"Jen, come on." Curtis said scoffing.

"Well, what else could it be?" Sam asked, faking being surprised.

"Well, you know about Crawford Hall?" Jen said, looking at Sam and Aeron.

Aeron shook her head.

"No, we don't, actually." Sam said, shaking his head as well.

"It's a bunch of crap, it's a total urban legend." Curtis said, rolling his eyes.

"Yeah well, Heather's mom went to school here, and she knew the girl."

"Wait.." Aeron said, looking at Jen.

Sam bit his lip in confusion. "What girl?"

"Thirty years ago. This girl was having an affair with some professor. He broke it off, she jumped out the window and killed herself." Jen told them the story.

"You know her name?" Sam asked hopefully.

"No. But they say she jumped from room six-six-nine. Get it? You turn the nine upside down?"

Sam nodded his head.

Curtis laughed.

"So now she haunts the building. And anyone who sees her? They don't live to tell the tale."

"Well if no one lives to tell the tale, then how does the tale get told?" Curtis asked.

"Curtis! Shut up!"

Aeron shook her head. She patted Sam on the shoulder.

Sam looked over at her and knew that they weren't going to be that much of a help. "You know what, uh… Thanks a lot guys. Excuse me." Sam picked up the recorder, shutting it off.

Aeron got up to her feet and walked with Sam to find Dean. They walked up to the bar to see Dean slam three drinks in succession.

"Dean. Dean, what are you drinking?" Sam asked in confusion.

Dean burped. "I don't know, man, I think they're called purple nurples?"

Aeron rolled her eyes. Purple nurples were not supposed to be slammed like that.

"Okay, well listen. I think maybe we should go check out the professor's office." Sam told his brother.

"Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. I can't right now. I've got some feisty little wild cat on the hook. I'm about to zzzp. reel her in. I'll introduce you two."

Aeron shook her head. A blonde girl all made up in fishnet stockings and tight miniskirt. Of course it would be one that Dean would go after.

"Dean…"

"Starla! Starla hey. This is my shuttle co-pilot Major Tom and our assistant Maria. Major Tom, Maria, Starla."

Starla draped her arm around Dean. "Enchante."

"Hi." Aeron and Sam at the same time.

Starla gagged covering her mouth then grinning looking up.

Sam looked skeptical.

"Sorry. Just trying to keep my liquor down!"

"Yeah! Good job." Dean looked at Sam. "Hey. Good news. She's got a sister."

Aeron rolled her eyes.

Dean leaned back into Starla arms and both of them looked at Sam grinning suggestively.

SNSNSN

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on a minute." Dean said, narrowing his eyes at his brother.

"What?" Sam asked, looking in confusion at his brother.

"Come on, dude, that's not how it happened."

"No? So you never drank a purple nurple?"

"Yeah, maybe that, but I don't say things like feisty little wildcat. And her name wasn't Starla."

"Then what was it?" Aeron snapped from where she was standing. Her hand was on her hip.

Dean narrowed his eyes on her. "I don't know." He looked at Bobby. "But she was a classy chick. She was a grad student, anthropology and folklore. We were talking about local ghost stories."

SNSNSN

Dean was with a girl dressed in a sleek black cocktail dress and a pair of black heels. The two of them had a purple nurple in their hands.

"Here's to…" The girl said, holding up her glass.

"Here's to us."

"My god, you are attractive."

"Thanks, but no time for that now. You need to tell me about this urban legend. Please. Lives are at stake."

"Sorry, I just…. I can't even concentrate. It's like staring… into the sun." She said reaching up and locking her hand around his head and brought his face to hers locking lips with him.

Sam walked over with Aeron beside him. "Dean! What do you think you're doing?"

"Sam please. If you and Red don't mind, give me five minutes here."

"Damn it Dean." Aeron said, throwing her hands up.

"Dean, this is a very serious investigation. We don't have any time for your…."

Dean leaned in to kiss the girl and locked lips with her again.

SNSNSN

"Right! And that's how it really happened." Sam said sarcastically.

Dean shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't sound like that Dean!"

"That's what you sound like to me." Dean said, rolling his eyes.

"Oh knock it off." Aeron said, rolling her eyes snapping at the brothers.

Bobby looked at the three of them. "Okay. What's going on with you three?"

"Nothing. No… it's nothing." Sam said, shaking his head.

"No, come on. You're bickering like an old married couple." He said looking at the two boys. "And you are making Anne upset with it."

Dean got up and crossed into the kitchen of the room. "No, see, married couples can get divorced. Me and him, we're like, uh, Siamese twins."

"It's conjoined twins!"

"Oh shut up! The both of you."

"Anne…"

Aeron huffed and slid down onto the floor.

"See what I mean?" Dean asked, rolling his eyes.

"Look, it…" Sam let out a sigh. "We've just been on the road for too long. Tight quarters, all that. Don't worry about it."

"Okay." Bobby said letting out a sigh, not sure of how this was going to work out between the three of the young hunters.

"So anyway. We figured it might be a haunting, so we went to check out the scene of the crime."

SNSNSN

The janitor let Sam, Dean, and Aeron into the professor's office. Sam and Dean were posing as electricians and Aeron was a learning electrician.

"So, how long have you been working here?" Sam asked, looking at the janitor.

"I've been mopping the floor for six years." The janitor said as he turned the light on as the four of them walked into the room. "There you go, guys." He saw Sam's EMF reader. "What the heck's that for?"

"Just find a wire in the walls." Sam replied.

"Huh. Wow. Not sure why you're wiring up this office. Not gonna do the professor much good."

"What's that?" Dean asked, looking at the janitor.

"He's dead." The janitor said fairly bluntly.

"Oh. What happened?" Aeron asked, looking at the janitor.

"He went out that window. Right there."

"Yeah? Were you working that night?" Sam asked curiously.

"I'm the one who found him."

"You see it happen?"

Dean saw a bowl of nuts on the side table and ate one.

"Nope. I just saw him come up here, and uh… well."

"What?"

"He wasn't alone."

Dean had continued eating the nuts. "Who was he with?" He asked, his voice muffled.

SNSNSN

"Come on! I ate one, maybe two!" Dean shouted.

"Just let me tell you, okay?"

"How about you both shut the hell up and I'll tell you." Aeron said, rolling her eyes. "If the two of you are going to be at each other's throat like this."

SNSNSN

"He was with a young lady. I told the cops about her, but uh, I guess they never found her." The janitor said, looking at the three of them.

"You saw this girl go in, huh? But did you ever see her come out?" Sam asked, looking at the janitor.

"Now that you mention it, no." The janitor said, shaking his head.

"Have you ever seen her before?"

"Well, not her."

"What do you mean?" Dean asked, his voice still muffled by the nuts he ate.

Aeron rolled her eyes and Sam glared at him.

"I don't mean to cast aspersions on a dead guy, but uh… Mister Morality here? He brought a lot of girls up here. Got more ass than a toilet seat."

Dean laughed.

Sam glared.

Aeron gagged.

The janitor grinned. At least someone thought that it was funny.

"One more thing. This building only has four stories, right?" Sam asked, looking at the janitor.

"Yeah."

"So there wouldn't be room six-six-nine?"

"Course not. Why do you ask?"

"Aw, just curious."

"Thank you." Aeron said with a nod of her head.

SNSNSN

They had returned to the hotel room that they were staying in.

Sam sat down at the table.

Aeron sat down on the couch.

Dean got three beers out. He handed one to Aeron coming into the room.

"Well no traces of EMF, that's for sure." Sam said, letting out a sigh.

"And the room six-six-nine's a load of crap." Dean said, putting the beer down by Sam.

"So what do you think? The professor's just a jumper? A legend's just a legend?" Sam asked, looking at him.

"I don't know. I mean, the uh, girl the janitor described, that's pretty weird." He said walking into the bathroom.

"Yeah."

"We oughta check out the history of the building. See if any co-ed ganks herself there."

"Yeah, you're right." Sam said, opening his laptop up and stared at the screen confused. "Dude. Were you on my computer?"

Dean came out of the bathroom looking confused. "No."

"Oh really? Because it's frozen now. On uh, ."

Dean thought for a moment. He frowned and winced and turned on his heel retreating.

"Dean! Would you just… don't touch my stuff anymore, okay?"

"Why don't you control your O.C.D." Dean said, rolling his eyes.

SNSNSN

"But did you dig up anything about the building? Or on the suicidal coed?" Bobby asked, looking at the three of them.

"No. History's clean." Sam said, rubbing his face. "Thanks to Aeron for allowing me to use her computer."

"Then it's not a haunting."

"Maybe not. Tell you the truth, we're not really sure." Dean said, letting out a sigh.

"What do you mean, you're not sure?"

"Well… it's weird." Sam said, shaking his head.

"What's weird?"

"The next part, we uh, we didn't see it happen ourselves exactly, but it's pretty friggin weird. Even for us." Dean said, rubbing the back of his head.

"And you might want to sit down for it." Aeron said, looking at Bobby.

Bobby looked at Aeron and saw the look that she had in her eyes. He sat down. "Alright. Continue."

Dean told him the next part.

Bobby looked at them in confusion. "Aliens?"

"Yeah."

"Aliens?"

"Yeah."

"Look, even if they are real, they're sure as hell not coming to earth and swiping people."

"Hey, believe me. We know."

"My whole life I've never found evidence of an honest-to-god abduction. It's all cranks and pranks." Bobby told them.

"Yeah, that's what we thought. But… we figured we'd at least talk to the guy." Sam told Bobby.

SNSNSN

Dean sat next to Curtis who had three shots lined up in front of him. Sam and Aeron stood nearby.

Curtis took a shot that he had in front of him.

"Hey you ought to try to give those purple nurples a shot."

"So what happened, Curtis?"

"You won't believe me. Nobody does." Curtis said, shaking his head.

"Give us a chance." Sam told him softly.

"I do not want this in the papers."

"It will be off the record." Aeron said, offering him a smile.

"I, uh.. blacked out, and… I lost track of time, and when I woke up, I didn't know where I was." Curtis told them.

"Then what?" Sam asked, sitting down.

"They did tests on me. And uh…" He took another shot. "They, uh, probed me."

"They probed you?" Dean asked, looking at Curtis.

"Yeah, they probed me. Again and again and again." He took another shot. "And again and again and again… and then one more time."

"Yikes."

"And that's not even the worst of it."

"How could it get any worse? Some alien made you his bitch." Dean said, smirking.

Curtis glared at him.

Aeron smacked him.

"Ow."

"Asshole." She hissed at him.

"They...they made me…. slow dance!"

The three hunters looked at one another. What the hell was going on around here? This case was getting weirder and weirder as the time went on.

SNSNSN

"You guys are exaggerating again, huh?" Bobby asked, looking at the three of them.

"No, no." Sam said, shaking his head.

"Then this frat boy's just nuts." Bobby said, shaking his head.

"We're not so sure." Dean said, rubbing his face tiredly.

SNSNSN

Sam, Dean and Aeron stood over a large perfectly round scorch mark on the ground.

Aeron put her hand on her hip. This was really weird. Even in her eyes.

"I'm telling you. This was made by some kind of jet engine." Sam said, looking at the circle.

"You mean some kind of saucer-shaped jet engine?" Dean asked, looking at it as well.

"What else could it be?"

"What the hell?"

"I don't know."

"Seriously dude. what the hell?"

"I don't know. I mean first the haunting. Now this?"

Aeron shook her head. "The timing. Do you think that there might be some kind of connection?" Aeron asked, crossing her arms. "This is too freaky even for us to be dealing with something like this."

"You mean you think that maybe there is a connection between the angry spirit and the sexed-up E.t. What could the connection possibly be?"

SNSNSN

Bobby looked at them like they were insane. This was something way way out there.

"But what else could we do? So we just kept on digging." Dean told Bobby.

SNSNSN

They found a college student to talk to him.

"So you and this guy, Curtis. You were in the same house?" Sam asked.

"Yeah." The student said, looking at the three of them. His eyes were lingering more on Aeron than she liked.

"You heard what happened to him, right?" Dean asked.

"Yeah, he says it was aliens, but, you know, whatever."

"Look man, I know this all has been so hard…" Sam said acting concerned.

"Yeah, not so much."

Aeron shook her head. She crossed her arms. She hoped that Sam didn't have some dumbass idea.

"But I want you to know… I'm here for you. You brave little soldier. I acknowledge your pain. Come here." He hugged him. "You're too precious for this world."

SNSNSN

"I never said that!" Sam shouted.

"You're always saying pansy stuff like that." Dean said, looking at his brother.

"How about you both shut the hell up. If your gonna blow this out of proportion then I am going to have to bash you two knuckleheads together to get you both to see." Aeron growled out.

Bobby let out a sigh. This was going to take a while. Three fighting hunters was not a good thing. Especially when one hunter was making more sense to him at the moment and that was the one that was threatening the brothers.

SNSNSN

"Well, um… Yeah, uh, thanks." The student said not sure of what the hell this man was trying to do to him.

Sam released him.

"Thanks for the hug, but, uh, I'm okay. Really. To tell you the truth, whatever happened to Curtis, he had it coming."

"Oh really?" Aeron asked curiously.

"Why is that?" Dean asked.

"He's our pledge master. Put us through hell this semester, and get off on it. So now he knows how we feel." The student replied.

Dean looked at Sam. "It's okay."

SNSNSN

They returned to the hotel room.

"Still doesn't make a lick of sense. But, hey, at least there's one connection." Dean said, rubbing his face.

"Between what?" Sam and Aeron asked.

Aeron rubbed her face tiredly. All she wanted to do was go to sleep. She was extremely tired.

"The victims. The professor and the frat guy. They're both dicks."

"That's a connection?" Sam asked, looking at his brother.

"You got anything better to do , I'd love to hear it."

Sam grabbed his bag and began looking through it. "Where's my laptop?"

"I don't know." Dean said, looking at Sam.

Sam continued to look for it.

"Think about it. A philandering professor gets a dead girl. A pledge master gets hazed."

"I left it here." Sam said, still looking for his laptop.

"You obviously didn't. I mean, these punishments… they're almost poetic. Actually, it's more like a limerick, but still…"

Sam approached his brother. "Okay, hilarious. Haha. Where'd you hide it?"

"What, your computer?"

"Yeah, where'd you hide it?"

"Why would I take your computer?"

"Because no one else could have, Dean! Aeron has hers so she wouldn't take mine. We keep the door locked. We never let any maids in."

"Looks like you lost it, Poindexter."

"Dude, you know something? I put up with a lot from you."

"What are you talking about? I'm a joy to be around."

Aeron scoffed. She got up and went to her bag to get her laptop to allow Sam to use it. "Sam, you can use mine." She said as she began to go through her bag.

"Yeah? Your dirty socks in the sink, your food in the fridge."

"What's wrong with my food?"

"It's not food anymore, Dean! It's Darwinism."

"I like it." Dean said, defending himself.

"All I ask from you, e one thing, is that you don't mess with my stuff!"

"You done?"

Aeron gasped. "Where the fucking hell…"

The brothers looked at her.

"I can't find my computer." Aeron said, throwing her bag down. She searched around the couch because that was where she slept. It wasn't there either. "Dean, did you touch it?"

"What? No, I would never touch it."

Aeron continued to look. "Well I can't find it."

Sam looked at his brother. "You know, how would you feel if I screwed with the Impala?"

"It'd be the last thing you ever did."

SNSNSN

"Did you take his computer?" Bobby asked, looking at Dean.

"Serves him right, but, no."

"Well, I didn't lose it. Cause I don't lose things." Sam said, narrowing his eyes at his brother.

"Oh, that's right, yeah, cause he's Mr. Perfect."

"And what about her computer?" Bobby asked, pointing to Aeron.

"Hell no. Not when I know that she would probably break my hand."

Aeron rolled her eyes.

"She's a firecracker Bobby."

"Okay, okay. Why don't you just tell me what happened next?"

"There was one more victim." Dean said, crossing his arms.

"Right. Now, we didn't see this one ourselves, either. We kind of put it together from the evidence." Sam said, rubbing his face. "But this guy. He was, uh, he was a research scientist. Animal testing."

"Yeah, you know… a dick. Which fits the pattern."

"Oh just like you Dean?" Aeron questioned, raising her eyebrow looking at the elder brother.

"Back off Red." Dean said, narrowing his eyes at her.

Aeron flipped him off. "The cops didn't release the cause of death. They had no clue what the cause of death even was." Aeron said, crossing her arms.

"So, we checked it ourselves." Sam told Bobby.

SNSNSN

Sam crawled through the window. He turned and helped Aeron since she was shorter than them.

"Thanks." She muttered.

"Hey." Dean tossed his flashlight to Sam. He then crawled through and shut it. He walked over and opened the body drawer and grabbed his flashlight from Sam. He shined it through. He grimaced. "Well, this oughta be quick."

They slid the drawer out and gingerly peeled the bloody blanket off revealing mangled remains.

"Okay, that is just nasty." Dean said, trying not to gag.

Sam brought his hand up to his mouth and nose.

Aeron turned away trying not to gag.

"Uh, yeah." Sam said, muffled.

"Mutilated?" Dean questioned trying his best not to gag. This was probably the worst that they had come across.

"Looks to me like something was hungry."

"Very hungry…" Aeron said, putting her hand over her nose.

"They identified him yet?" Dean questioned.

"Yeah, uh, a research scientist at the college. Guess where his office was, by the way. Crawford Hall, same as the professor."

"That's right where the frat boy had his close encounter."

"Yeah. Hey, grab me that thing, would you?"

Dean slid the magnifying light over to his brother.

Sam looked through it. "Thanks."

"What is it?"

Sam saw something. "Looks like a… A belly scale?"

"A belly scale? From what?" Dean asked, looking at his brother.

"Uh… An alligator?"

"An alligator in the sewer. Come on."

"What? Well, Dean, it's a classic urban legend. A kid flushes a baby gator down the toilet and it grows huge in the tunnels."

Aeron shook her head.

"But no one's ever really found one. I mean, the… they're not real."

"Well, neither alien abduction, but something chomped on this guy."

"This couldn't get any weirder." Dean said, shaking his head.

"Bobby." Aeron said, looking at the brothers.

"I'll call him. Maybe he's run into something like this before." Sam said, letting out a sigh.

Aeron nodded her head.

"Oh, I'm sure he has. Just your typical haunted campus, alien abduction, alligator-in-the-sewer gig. Yeah, it's simple."

SNSNSN

"We decided to search the sewer anyway, so we split up, each taking one end of the campus. Aeron decided to go with me…" Sam said, rubbing his face tiredly.

"Because you were the tolerable of the two." Aeron snapped.

"Did you find anything?" Bobby asked."

"Yeah, I found something, just not in the sewer." Dean said, crossing his arms.

SNSNSN

Dean came out of the sewer and entered the alley where the Impala was parked. All four of the tires were flat. "Son of a bitch!" He circled the car and found a money clip on the ground. It was Sam's. "Sam!"

SNSNSN

Sam was reading a book.

Aeron was in the shower.

Dean came storming into the hotel room. "You think this is funny?"

"It depends. What?" Sam asked looking up from his book.

"Th-th-th-the car!"

"What about the car?"

"You can't let the air out of the tires, you idiot. You're gonna bend the rims!"

"Whoa, wait a minute. I didn't go near your car."

"Oh yeah? Huh. Then how'd I find this?" He said holding up the money clip.

Sam stood up patting his pockets down. "Hey. Give me back my money!"

"Oh, no, no. Consider it reparations. For, uh, emotional trauma."

"Yeah, very funny. Now, give it back." He said reaching for it.

"No."

"Dean, I have had it up to here with you."

"Yeah? Right back at you!"

Sam tried to reach for his money again and Dean avoided him. Sam grabbed at him again and tackled him onto the bed.

"Come on!" Dean yelled. "Get off of me."

"Give it back!"

The bathroom door opened and Aeron stood there holding a towel around her small frame. "Hey idiots!"

SNSNSN

"Okay, I've heard enough." Bobby told the three of them.

"You showed up about an hour after that." Dean pointed out to the older hunter.

"I'm surprised at the three of you. I really am. Sam, first off, Dean did not steal your computer and that goes for you too Anne."

"But I…" Sam said, looking at Dean.

Bobby held up a hand. "Shh, shh, shh, shh! And, Dean, Sam did not touch your car."

"Yeah." Sam said, looking at Dean.

"And you three bothered to pull your heads outta your asses, it all would have been pretty clear."

"What?" Dean asked, looking at him.

"What you're dealing with."

"Uh…" Sam said in confusion.

"I got nothing." Dean said, shaking his head.

"Me neither."

"Oh my god no." Aeron said, looking at Bobby.

"You got a trickster on your hands."

"Damn it. I hate those things."

"That's what I thought." Dean said, snapping his fingers.

"What? No, you didn't." Sam snapped at his brother.

"I got to tell you… you guys were the biggest clue." Bobby said, shaking his head.

"What do you mean?"

"These things create chaos and mischief as easy as breathing, and it's got you so turned around and at each other's throats, you can't even think straight."

"The laptops…" Sam said.

"The tires." Dean said.

"It knows you're onto him, and it's been playing you like fiddles."

"So, what is it, what, what, spirit, demon, what?" Dean questioned.

"Well, more like demigods, really."

"Loki… Anansi… there's dozens of them." Aeron said, shaking her head.

"They're immortal, and they can create things out of thin air. Things as real as you and me. Make them vanish just as quick."

"You mean like an angry spirit or an alligator." Dean said, shaking his head.

"The victims fit the M.O. too. Tricksters target the high and mighty, knock them down a peg, usually with a sense of humor… deadly pranks, things like that."

"Bobby, what do these things look like?"

"Lots of things, but human, mostly." Bobby told them.

"And what human do we know who's been at ground zero this whole time?"

Sam frowned thinking. His eyes widened. He knew now.

The janitor locked the gate with a key that was attached to his belt.

The three of them followed him up the stairs.

"Sorry I'm dragging a little ass today, guys. Had quite the night last night." He looked at the three hunters. "Lots of sex, if you catch my drift."

"Yeah, hard not to. Listen, we won't be long." Dean signaled Sam behind the janitor's back. "We just need to check a couple offices up on three."

"No problem."

"I, uh, forgot something in the truck. You know what. Carrie and I will catch up with you guys." Sam said using a fake name for Aeron.

"Okay."

Dean and the janitor went up the stairs.

Aeron and Sam waited until they were out of sight.

"Come on." Sam told her.

The two of them ran down the stairs.

"Got your lockpick tools?"

Sam nodded his head as he pulled them out and used them on the lock. He slid the door open.

The two of them walked into the room. They looked in the lockers to try and find which locker was his.

Sam found the locker with Weekly World News that was the tricker's locker. "Found it."

Aeron shook her head. "Bingo. Let's crack down on him. We can only hope that he is the trickster."

"I dunno."

"Come on Sam. Let's meet up with your brother."

The three of them left the building.

"Just because he reads the Weekly World News doesn't mean he's our guy. I mean, you read it, too." Sam pointed out to his brother.

"I'm telling you, it's him. Hell, Aeron even thinks so."

"Look, I just think we need some hard proof. That's all." Sam said, shaking his head.

"Okay, another thing Bobby and Red here mentioned was that these suckers have a metabolism like an insect, a real sweet tooth."

"Well, I didn't find any candy bars or sugar. No even Equal." Sam said, shaking his head.

"Eh, that's probably because you missed something."

"I don't miss things.' Sam snapped.

"Oh right, cause you're Mr. Perfect."

"What? Are you really still pissed at me because of what the trickster did?" Sam snapped.

"You've been a tight ass long before that trickster showed up." Dean said, narrowing his eyes at his brother.

"Enough damn it. I am getting tired of the bull shit between the two of you." Aeron said, throwing her hands up. She was really getting tired of this.

"How about you but out of it Red."

"Fuck you." She snapped.

"Look, just… stay here, keep an eye on the janitor. I'll go to his place to see if I can find any actual evidence before you go barging in and staking the man! Just wait till I get back, okay? Okay?"

"Okay! Take her with you."

Sam shook his head and took a hold of Aeron's arm leading her away.

Dean began to pace back and forth.

The two of them got into the Impala that was down the road. far away from the school. Thanks to Bobby the tires were inflated again.

"I hope this plan works." Aeron said, looking at him.

"Yeah you and me both."

Aeron shifted uncomfortably in the front seat. Ever since Sam apologized to her it was just kind of hard to even work with him. "I just hope Dean will be alright on his own. Tricksters are nasty things to deal with."

"You've dealt with one before?"

"Oh no." She said, shaking her head. "My brother did… I remember his journal?"

Sam let out a sigh. "Let's go and get Bobby."

"Yeah." She said, nodding her head.

The three hunters waited outside of the auditorium. They were just waiting for Dean's plan to come into motion. The three of them listened carefully.

"They're a peace offering. I know what you and your brother do. I've been around a while. Run into your kind before. The girl your with. Oh yeah I've met her before. I won't forget a pretty face like hers."

Aeron's face flushed. Damn it this was not going to end well at all.

"Well, then you know that I… can't let you just keep hurting people."

"Come on! Those people got what was coming to them. Hoisted on their own petards. But you and Sam and Aeron. I like you. I do. So treat yourself… As long as you want. Just long enough for me to move on to the next town."

"Yeah, I don't think I can let you do that."

"I don't wanna hurt you. And you know that I can."

"Look mean, I… I gotta tell you, I dig your style, alright? I mean." Dean chuckled. "I do. I mean… whew… and the slow dancing alien…"

"One of my personal favorites. Yeah."

"But, uh, I can't let you go."

"Too bad. Like I said, I like you. Sam was right. You shouldn't have come alone."

"Well, I'll agree with you there."

The door slam shut. Aeron, Sam, and Bobby were there. Each one of them had stakes of their own.

"That fight you guys had outside… that was a trick?"

Dean smiled.

"Hm. Not bad. But you want to see a real trick?"

A masked man had appeared near Sam attacking Sam. The brunette attacked Dean.

The trickster smiled watching them.

Bobby grappled with the chainsaw man.

Aeron ran down the stairs to help Dean.

The trickster looked at Aeron. "Oh honey I have a surprise for you."

Aeron stopped in her tracks. Her eyes widened in fear. No… No anything but that. She saw auburn hair and gray blue eyes. Taller than her 5'9 lanky with firm muscles and covered in grime. It was none other than her brother. "No... " She gasped out.

He advanced on her.

"No… you're dead."

"Nice toss ladies! Nice show!" The trickster yelled, clapping standing up. "Dean… Dean, Dean, Dean."

Sam tossed a stake to his brother.

"I did not want to have to do this."

Dean stabbed him in the chest. "Me neither." He said grinding the stake into him.

The chainsaw man, the women, and Darrel disappeared.

Dean pulled the stake out of him and the trickster had fallen dead.

Aeron collapsed onto her knees.

"Balls." Bobby said, moving quickly towards her. He got her up off of the ground. "Sam Dean, we have to go now." He told them quickly. He picked her up into his arms.

The three of them and one carried hunter quickly moved out of there.

"I have to say he had style." Dean said, rubbing his face.

"Bobby, thanks a lot. We really couldn't have…" Sam said softly.

"Hey, save it. Let's get the hell out of dodge before somebody finds that body."

"Yeah." Dean said, nodding his head.

Bobby slipped Aeron into the car.

"Look Dean, Um… I just want to say that I'm… Uh… Umm…"

"Hey me too."

The two of them nodded at each other.

Bobby got out of the car. "You guys are breaking my heart. Could we please just leave? I have to get some alcohol for her." He said looking at Aeron who was curled up. He had dealt with her when she was bad and alcohol was one of the ways that he could get through to her.

Sam and Dean exchanged looks before getting into the car.

Bobby had to carry Aeron into the hotel room.

"Bobby what happened back there?" Sam asked in confusion of why Aeron was pale faced and mute.

Bobby got into the fridge and pulled out a beer for her. He opened it and gave it to her. "Anne honey… you need to drink this down." He told her softly.

She shook her head.

"Anne… he wasn't real."

Aeron looked into Bobby's eyes.

"Your brother would never hurt you… the Trickster thought that it would be fun to play tricks with your mind."

Aeron took the beer from Bobby's hand and took a small sip from it.

"You'll be fine Anne… Forget what the trickster did."

Aeron looked up at Bobby. "Thank you…"

"Honey anytime."

"What happened back there?" Dean asked in confusion.

"The trickster had a sick mind." Aeron said softly.

"What do you mean?"

"He used my own brother. The memory of my own brother against me."

Sam and Dean both shared a look with one another.
