"I see someone told you about me then." Shark replied. "Was it the Resistance?"
"No actually it was Yuzu and the others… We're looking for the Resistance."
"Why would you tell me that?"
"Because I assume you want to find them as well? Reiji smugly said.
"How do you know they're not dead?!"
"You're here…. so I assume they're not!"
"Stop being smart with me! I'll happily take you down!" Shark activated his Academia duel disk.
"He's mine!"
"Now what?" Masumi said as she looked around.
Emerging from the rubble of Heartland Tower was the pink haired Luna in her Resistance cloak.
"Who are you?" Reiji asked.
"I'm Resistance; I opted to stay here while the others went on a mission."
"Luna? Why would you stay here?!" Shark fiercely replied.
"Once Dennis brought the tower down I assumed they'd send someone here to finish things up if we survived, I took a guess it would be you and clearly I was proved right."
"Where are the others?!"
"I won't tell. You're not on our side, Shark…. but I'm bringing you back home!" Luna activated her duel disk.
"How do you two know each other?" Masumi asked.
"We…. were a couple." Luna spoke with a painful pause. Using the word "were" hurt.
"And Shark was brainwashed by Academia… Grace told us that part…. I know the feeling."
"It's fine; we also met Ray who had the same thing happen to her. Academia steal people… turn them against their loved ones…. no more!"
"We've had this conversation before so…. let's get straight down to it!" Shark roared back.

Dark Knight disappeared from field and the one overlay unit fired onto Shark's duel disk.
"This returns Depth Shark back to your field in defence position and reduces its level!"

Both spun around in the Fusion whirlpool creating a tall figure covered in purple armour with a yellow lance. He had a shark fin on his back.

"Yes… Academia made a massive, massive mistake! Haruto, Anna, Rio… me… we will now fight even harder!"
"Don't… mention them!"
"Why not? They mean nothing to you now? Same as Shun, Ruri and Yuto?"

Luna honestly thought Shark was ordering her not to mention them but she could see the struggle now on his face. Rio had opened a crack in his memories before and now Luna knew what she had to do.
"I summon Satellarknight Capella!" A white and golden armour male riding a chariot appeared.

"I send a random card in your hand to the graveyard!" Appearing on Luna's touch screen were the three cards and they shuffled as the duel disk selected one.
"You sent Monster Reborn…. happy?" Shark replied with frustration. "Triverr has always been such an annoying Monster Card when we duel…." Shark quickly realized the words he said and put his hands over his mouth.
"That's it, Ryouga, remember! I use my Equip Spell on Triverr, Stellarknight Alpha! It gains 500 attack and defence while also being unaffected by your card effects!"

"Shark Fortress, go!" The giant airship loaded up a shark-faced missile and fired it at Triverr.The missile hit the ground and the impact sent Luna flying while Reiji and Masumi could only just hang on.

"Move, Luna!" Masumi helped her up and Reiji also ran further back as the missile landed on the Monster, another shockwave occurred but they avoided it this time.
"That Monster was always quite dangerous…." Luna said.

"Just… shut up, Luna!"
"I guess because his memories are all mixed up… he's relying on the only thing he can do… dueling." Reiji added.
"Luna!"
Everyone looked and saw Ruri running with a smile on her face with Yuto following. They stopped as they reached the group.
"It's you…. Reiji Akaba…" Yuto stuttered.
"Why are you here?" Ruri replied.
"That's right… I guess the Resistance don't know. Our group arrived later and by the time we united with our Lancers here, you had all split up." Reiji answered.
"It's been a long time…. I'm sorry about turning your assistant into a card…." Ruri replied with her tone and head lowered.
"It's fine, I was wrong back then. I've changed, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have tried to capture you.. any of you."
"I think about him all the time… I will help to reverse it."
"I know, you are all helping us in this war."
"But why are you here?" Masumi said.
"I guess…. they want to help with Shark?" Luna added.

A shadow fired down from the sky and a roar was heard. The black dragon appeared before him. Yuto felt a pain as he normally did when Dark Rebellion was with him but due to Yuto's mission to save Shark, he had the drive to fully resist it.

"What?!" Yuto replied as the blasts hit Shark Fortress however it remained on the field.

"Overlay! I Xyz Summon rank one, Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale!" The whirlpool had a beam of light rise from it as a taller female bird arose. It shinned in the light as it revealed it's long white and blue wings. It had a sort of dress with golden sections which went over her bird like legs. Four overlay units spun around it.

"His mind isn't Academia or Xyz… it's just on dueling." Reiji confirmed.
"This is how he normally responds to losing… he gets inpatient to his opponent taking their time…"
"That's not how I respond!" Shark shouted.
"Yeah it is, Shark!" Ruri teased.
"What do you know?! I'm…."
"You're a close friend, Ryouga." Ruri added. "Rio told me about what happened… she can't be here as she's trying to take down Academia's dimensional block…"
"Rio… is doing that?"
"She opened the door to your true memories… now me, Yuto and Luna will complete this! Assembly Nightingale, go!"
"I…. I have nothing to counter with!" Shark looked at the Xyz Monster strike her wings down, creating an air force which hit directly in the chest.

The duel field faded and Shark was on his eyes, his eyes lifeless. Luna and the others all ran over to him. Dark Rebellion turned and looked at Yuto while Yuto looked back firmly. The dragon then faded.
"Ryouga… come on!" Luna shook his body as Shark's eyes returned to normal.
"Luna?"
"Um…. Yeah?"
"You're making me dizzy…." Shark replied with a smirk.
"Are you back?" Ruri asked.
"I… guess I am…. I feel in control of myself again."
"Thank god!" Luna collapsed onto the floor and hugged Shark with all her might.
"Too tight!"

"I'm not sure how Luna will feel with Ruri and Yuto going to help her." Anna said to Rio as they walked down a street.
"We had to send Yuto and Ruri away… Yuto begun to feel Yuya…. and Odd-Eyes we can't have them get near." Shun added.
"Any extra help to save my brother is needed. We don't know if he has back up or what." Rio replied.
Haruto, Shun, Rio and Anna were searching for the communication and dimensional blockage that covered Xyz.
"We removed something like this in Synchro… but that was more obvious than here…" Shun said.
"Well if it's not in Heartland Tower or the coliseum…. where else? My dad was searching but he couldn't find it…." Haruto responded.
"We'll get him back." Anna replied. "We will get everyone back."
"Dr. Faker got us out of the Xyz Dimension when we went to Standard… Haruto, think.. is there anything you know which could help us?"
"No, I'm sorry…."
"Haruto, stop beating yourself up, that won't help." Anan continued. "Even if Faker left notes, our base got blown up."
"Academia is still here, one of them will know." Shun said.
"They won't say…. if we had an Academia duel disk we could leave this dimension." Rio stated.
"But only one of us would be able to leave…. but that gives me an idea." Haruto replied. "What if it's in the commander's duel disk?"
"Inside a duel disk?"
"Yeah, I mean it should've been in Heartland Tower… but Dennis happily blew it up so maybe… Dennis has it?"
"Haruto… that's a great idea. It makes sense." Shun responded.
"So we find Dennis, beat him… we get it! Then let's find them!" Anna said with determination.

Dennis kicked dirt from the street he and his army were in. They had searched but Yuzar was nowhere to be seen.
"Sir!" said a male Obelisk Blue. "What shall we do now?"
"Organize yourselves! Academia sent at least fifty more students over, use them… use the drones! Just find them!" Dennis yelled in frustration as the solider quickly retreated.
Dennis looked at his duel disk and there was no answer from Marina.
"Can't even track her now Heartland Tower is destroyed…. I need results…. Leo won't forgive me!"
He hit Shark's button, there was nothing.
"No! Answer!" Dennis looked up and saw an Academia solider was a flare gun in her pocket. "You! Give me that!"
"Yes, si-!" Dennis snatched it as she took it out of its holster. Dennis fired it into the sky.
"I'm heading there myself! I'll bring in whichever bug is attracted to that light…"
"But, sir the plan?" said another solider.
"I make the plan!"

"We're heading towards an Academia flare… this is beyond stupid!" Haruto said. The group were making their way to where the flare exploded.
"We find an Academia group… we find their leader." Anna replied as they walked down an ally.
"Or…. we found the man himself…." Shun saw in the distance Dennis walk down.
The group stood in a row as Dennis stood where he was.
"So you did survive the tower.. how expected."
"You nearly killed us all!" Anna yelled.
"I never meant to but you left me with no choice!"
"You're not a very nice person… at least some Academia I've turned into a card weren't so blood thirsty!"
"You don't know me! Now tell me where the dragons are!"
"Duel me!" Anna smirked back.

"Don't worry their effects are negated! I choose Ruffian Railcar and Super Express Bullet Train!" Railcar was the shape of a red train but had a mouth in the upper carriage.

In the far distance a purple and blue train was speeding towards the field. It had jets on both side and had a sharp, pointy front. The train stopped beside Anna.

After the explosion faded a new creature in the form of train was revealed on the field. It was different from the others as this had a military design. It had a large gun turret.

The gun turret aimed at Dennis and fired rapid shells. Dennis shielded himself from the blasts with his duel disk.

On the field appeared a Monster which towered above the crumbled buildings. It was a large green platform with wheels on the bottom. It had small guns around the platform and surpassing all that was a huge cannon positioned in the middle. It had orange markings run down it.

"When I'm attacked… I can use this card! It's a last minute escape! Say hello to Performage Trapeze High Magician! And since I used Clown Force, it attaches as an overlay unit!"
Trapeze Magician fired into the sky and emerging from the light was a new Magician. It wore white clothes with a cape. It had a white top hat.

"I don't like to state the obvious butLiebe has 4000 defence!Anna yelled back.
"That's why I use the Spell Performage Spell Show! For each Pendulum Monster in my scales your Monster loses 1000 attack and defence!"
"That's 2000!" Haruto called out.

High Magician leapt high into the air and pulled out his wand. He slammed it down onto the train which caused it to explode within it seconds.

"I'll do just that! I Xyz Summon Gustav once more!" The two Monsters fired into the whirlpool as Anna's huge Monster returned.

"Then I can use Flame Eater! This can be summoned to my field when I would take effect damage! It makes it zero and we both take 500 damage!" Appearing on Dennis's field was a cannonball with a face and a red cape. It opened its mouth and swallowed the shots fired.

Anna LP: 600 – 100
"No…." Rio's face dropped.
"It's not over!" Anna replied. "I banish my two Super Express Bullet Trains! It allows me to equip Train Connection to Gustav Max! This doubles his attack!"
Gustav ATK: 6000
"How?!"
"And the best part… he inflicts piercing damage! Gustav… wipe out Dennis!"
Gustav aimed his turret at Flame Eater and the rapid missiles landed on the Monsters, sending Dennis into the dirt.
Dennis LP: 1500 – 0 Anna Wins
"Anna!" Rio and the others all came to her to celebrate.
Dennis saw them celebrate and slowly raised his hand to his duel disk.
"No you don't!" Shun ran over and stooped his hand.
"You won't get a thing from me!"
"We don't want to." Shun kept Dennis restrained as Rio took off his duel disk.
"Found it!" Rio said. There was a small black device on his duel disk. She slammed it into the ground and smashed it with her boot.
"Was that it?" Shun asked Dennis.
"I'm saying nothing!"
"So it was! You're in charge here, Dennis… it's over!"
"Not one bit! Academia will just send Edo back! Our army is still here!"
"Well we're not going to turn you into a card…. you can help us end this all here!" Haruto said.
"I will do no such thing! I serve Academia fully unlike other traitors! I'm his right hand man… I'm-!"
"Garbage." Shun replied. He lifted up Dennis and slammed him into a garbage dumpster. He pulled the lid down and wedged a brick over the door.
"I guess Academia will find him at some point." Anna said before laughing.
"Now… let's reunite with the others." Rio replied.
Shun and the others turned to go down the alleyway and there they saw shadows approaching.
"Let's do this!" Rio yelled. They ran down the alleyway and got their duel disks out but their faces dropped.
It was Yuzu, Ray and Gongenzaka holding Yuya.
20 Minutes Later
"Let me out!" Dennis yelled, banging on the dumpster. He then heard footsteps approach. "Hello?!"
The sound of the door opening was a much welcome sight but not the person doing it. She was a blond girl with a cloak on.
"Mina?!"
The girl held Dennis' duel disk and put it on. She hit the button making Dennis scream as it hit. Seconds later a carded Dennis dropped into the girl's hand.
"They must be close." she said.
