"Yuri? Or is it Starving Venom?" Yuzu asked.
"I'm me!" he replied.
"Starving it is then…."
Remaining was Mina, Yuzu, Odd-Eyes, Starving Venom and Ray. The Academia soldiers behind stood proud of the Fusion Dragon.
"I see you absorbed Ancient One's power, Brother." Starving said to Odd-Eyes.
"Yes. He was unable to cope with mine."
"The power you took which merged us all into one during the war… with yourself as the one in control... I always wondered what would happen if it had been me in charge! Maybe we wouldn't have lost?!"
"We would've lost with you." Odd-Eyes affirmed with arrogance. "Why can't you just fall into line?!"
"You know that's who we are, Odd-Eyes. Powerful creatures with hunger… what are we without desire?!" Starving replied.
"Academia put Ancient One under control…. I guess Academia have done the same to you?"
"That collar? Well take a look!" Starving shuffled Yuri's coat and showed just his neck.
"So what's the deal?! Last time I saw you, you took Clear Wing to Academia?"
"That was Yuri and yes Clear is still captured. I was only able to escape myself. Me and Elisa worked out a deal to destroy Academia from the inside but…. King Leo has gained knowledge of his past and… he can now control Real Solid Vision…"
"What do you mean?" Yuzu asked.
"How could he gain that kind of power?" Mina added.
"Same way as you can now, little girl. Using our energy."
"Leo can?!"
"Yeah, you're not the only one now….."
"But how did he get that power?!" Odd-Eyes roared.
"Me and Elisa gave it to him… we gave him life so he could live without his life support in hope that when we removed it, we would kill him but we miscalculated…. we didn't presume Leo would be able to wield it. His past allowed him to."
"And you dare stand before me and say you deserve to be leader?!"
"But you gave power to this human right here! We're the same!"
"But not willingly!"
"Well this does seem to be a bit of an affair… I'd love to stand by and watch but… I have an important job first!" Mina added.
"Mina, don't you dare leave!" Ray yelled at her. Mina just smirked and held up the card making her disappear.
"Damnit…." Yuzu gritted her teeth.
"How did you escape? And why the soldiers?" Odd-Eyes added.
"Leo worked out how to contain me and knocked me out. But as they placed me onto that table to have the collar placed on I was able to withdraw my power. I let Yuri take over…. Yuri was the one who wore the collar! Once Yuri was sent here with this army…. I took charge again, breaking the collar. The army were following Yuri so I took them for myself. They have Real Solid Vision parasite bugs in their heads for Academia to take direct control of…. so I just used my power to do just that!"
"And what will you do to them?" Ray replied.
"They're going to be find our brother!"
"Yuto?!" Yuzu replied.
"Not bad thinking for once…." Odd-Eyes smirked.
"Ray! Run and contact the others." Yuzu looked at her.
"Yeah... sure…." Ray knew Yuzu was going to stay by Yuya's side no matter what, so she fled instantly as the army waited.
"Get her." Starving yelled as the group of about thirty soldiers ran like a wild tiger after its meat.
"Good luck Ray…." Yuzu thought.
"We will need one witness to tell the others what happens here!" Starving said as he looked at Yuzu. "Now, Brother!" Starving activated Yuri's duel disk as did Odd-Eyes with Yuya.

"When Special Summoned, I can add a Polymerization to my hand! I use it and fuse Cobra along with Scorpio! I Fusion Summon Predaplant Chimerafflesia!" yelled Starving as he placed his fists into the Fusion pose as both Cobra and Scorpio flew into the Fusion whirlpool.
A large green plant appeared from the portal with no head but red petals around its neck. Its long green stalk arms had two venus flytraps for hands.

"I will Fusion Summon my Predaplant Dragostapelia! This needs a Fusion Monster and a Dark Monster!" The two Monsters merged above the two creating a small, green but spiky dragon appeared. He had dark, purple wings with green scales going around his body. It had small plant bulbs at the end of its wings.

"I draw! I set my Pendulum Scales with scale two Dragoncaller Magician and scale eight Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon!" A magician in a blue robe appeared along with a sliver dragon with a crystal shaped like Yuya's pendulum coming out of its back.

"I play Sky Iris!" Around the ruins of the Xyz Dimension the field changed into bright multicoloured light. "This prevents my Magician and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Scales from being affected by card effects! Now I Pendulum Summon!"
High in the sky two coloured auras flew onto the field.
"I Pendulum Summon my Monster form and Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon!" Alongside Odd-Eyes was a blue dragon with skeleton armour with different coloured gems around it.

"Because you merged into a creature which destroyed the original world!" Yuzu hit back.
"You should've seen the destruction we created though!" Starving added.
"Odd-Eyes, Ciel wouldn't want this! You changed because of Starving!"
"It wasn't Starving who did it! It was riots which attack us after Ciel killed the loyal king, Leo! Starving was right in one regard at least! I use Sky Iris' other effect! I destroy Phantom Dragon and add a Odd-Eyes Card from my deck to my hand!"
Phantom unleashed a large yell as the light engulfed him.
"I add the Ritual Spell Odd-Eyes Advent! Now Arc Dragon's effect! I summon a Odd-Eyes from my deck!"
"What?!" Starving snarled.
"Appear Odd-Eyes Advance Dragon!" A slimmer version off Odd-Eyes appeared with bright red scales and wings.

Odd-Eyes Pendulum roared as it shot into a funeral casket. "AppearOdd-Eyes Gravity Dragon!" A black and orange monster emerged with golden chains around its body.

"Now you have to return your set card to your hand, Brother! And you can't reply against this" Gravity yelled as its chains hit the card.
"It doesn't matter! I use Predaplant Dragostapelia effect! I place a Predator Counter onto a Monster and it becomes level one! I negate all effects with Predator Counters! I seal Gravity!"
"And I'm sure you're aware, Brother… you need to pay 500 lifepoints to activate the effect via my Ritual form's effect!"

Any Monster with a Predator Counter has its attack negated and level reduced to one!" A dark seed attached to Advance as Starving flinched from giving up his lifepoints.

"I use the Fusion Spell Predaprime Fusion! I can Fusion Summon using Monsters on your field and since they're also Dark Monsters… they suit the requirements nicely!"
"Using my Monsters for your own?!"
"It's kind of how it will be after I beat you! You'll be fuelling me! I fuse Gravity and Flytrap!" Both Monsters flew into the Fusion portal and spun around.
"Enter my true self!" Starving yelled as the mighty purple dragon appeared on the field in all its glory. As it landed, the two dragons stared right into each other's eyes with rage.

Starving launched its tail at Advanced and it opened up and showed a head with sharp teeth. The teeth clamped down onto Advanced's neck which made Odd-Eyes scream.
"Yuya!"

"I'm not Yuya!" Odd-Eyes screamed as his eyes turned even more red.
"I now use Starving's other effect! I copy Advance's effect and Starving gains its effect!" The tail glowed as it absorbed the Odd-Eyes Monster's ability.
"What on earth did Starving just gain?" Yuzu thought.
"It's an effect to summon a level five or higher Monster from your graveyard when it destroys a Monster."
Yuzu looked to her side and saw Warrior standing beside her.
"Now I attack Advance!" Starving yelled as his dragon form charged up a purple blast in his mouth. He unleashed the mighty blaze which wiped out Odd-Eyes' Monster with ease.

Appearing was a sliver dressed magician with a purple cape and flowing blue energy for hair.

"I'm afraid not… Performapals were given to Yuya but Odd-Eyes has control of them now." Warrior affirmed.
"I use the Spell Pendulum Card Burst! I destroy Pendulum and Phantom to draw twice!" Both vanished as Odd-Eyes drew. "I summon Performapal Skullcrobat Joker!" On the field a blonde haired clown with a purple hat with a skull appeared. His costume was a circus themed one that highlighted the colours purple and dark.

"It's because thanks to Warrior who gave me the Fusion energy…. I made this!" Emerging from the sky was a green-plated dragon. It had four slim wings.

"I use its effect! When Special Summoned I return an attack position Monster back to your hand! I'm removing yourself!"
"Which means Starving can't use his field wiping effect when it's destroyed." Yuzu commented. She looked behind her and saw Warrior's face clenched up with guilt.
"Now go, Vortex!" A whirlwind slammed into Starving's dragon form and made it return to its card form which returned to his extra deck.
"It doesn't matter! I use the Trap Predaplanning! I send a Monster from my deck to activate it, I send Basidiomycota!"
"I use Vortex's other effect! I shuffle Phantom Dragon back to my main deck from my extra deck to negate and destroy it!" Starving's card turned to grey as Odd-Eyes smirked once more. "I now use the Spell Spiral Flame Strike! If I control an Odd-Eyes Monster I can destroy a card on your field! I wipe out Chimerafflesia!"
A flame ball fired from the card followed by a roar of Odd-Eyes. The blast incinerated the plant.
"Now I use the Spell Odd-Eyes Shadow! I banish a card with Fusion in its name or a Ritual Spell and depending on which, this card gains an effect! I banish Odd-Eyes Advent!" Starving felt a pulse run down his neck.
"No! You can't?!"
"I can! Since I banished a Ritual Spell I can Ritual Summon by banishing a Ritual Monster from my graveyard! I banish Gravity to Ritual Summon… Ancient One Ritual Dragon!"
"Serve me, Ancient One!" Odd-Eyes yelled as he held up the Ritual Card.
Emerging from the sky flew down the dark blue dragon with blue orbs on its legs. It unleashed a bloodcurdling scream.

Yuzu tried to talk to Warrior but her heart had sunken.

"Are you both done pitying each other?!" Odd-Eyes yelled as he was annoyed by their distraction. "Lucky for you Ancient has its effects negated and it can't attack…. so I'll do this! I'll overlay my two level sevens!"
"An Xyz?! Now?!" Starving replied as he was caught off guard.
"Appear before me! Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon!" Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon!" The dragon was formed with blue scales that looked like frozen armour. Just by touching the floor, it was frozen instantly.

"That's new…." Odd-Eyes gritted his teeth.
"His effect prevents you attack as long as Joker has a Predator Counter!"

"Then Basidiomycota is banished during the End Phase."
Back on the sidelines Yuzu still had no clue how to help Warrior. Warrior had left Yuzu due to her accepting Sin but now Warrior realized she had helped fuel Odd-Eyes power by standing by him.
"Warrior! Come on! We've had enough regret! We need to work out how we can save Yuya! I'm sorry I discarded you for Sin's power and you might never forgive me but we need to be on the same page right now!""
"I let you down, Yuzu…."
"What? You did?"
"I became too self-righteous… it's hard to explain but… after seeing all the darkness everywhere… Yuzu you were the bright light in this journey and seeing you fall into darkness… hurt…."
"So it is my fault!"
"No! I was a hypocrite I didn't account in your feelings… you've been so strong over this trip. I just treated you like the rest… I discarded you. I guess I became immune to seeing the dragons no longer themselves and…. I placed that onto you."
"Okay we both messed up! Enough of crying in the past! Now how do we save Yuya?!"
"I… don't think we can…. the seal on him has worn off. Odd-Eyes is free."
"Then…. we should go."
"Go?"
"If Yuya is truly gone we need to retreat and work out a new plan." Yuzu replied. "Odd-Eyes!" she shouted.
"Are you still here?!"
"Yes! And I'm telling this to you! Yuya and Yuzar are still within and he will fight his way out…. and even if he can't, I will beat you and the others. I will!"
"That's a very strong promise for a little human!"
"You fell into darkness as well, Odd-Eyes…. Ciel and the other angels entrusted us to save you all as well!" Yuzu turned around and clenched her fists. "Let's go, Warrior!"

"Yes I do, Odd-Eyes!" Cobra, Scorpio and Dragostapelia all flew into the portal which engulfed the field in darkness. "Now appear, the dragon of despair! Predaplant Triphyoverutum!"
Odd-Eyes looked up as the sounds of stomping surrounded the field.
Walking from the darkness was a towering green dragon standing on two legs. Its green skin mimicked a leaf pattern. It had a thick weedy tail. It had three heads and wings with red flowers on each.

"Yes, it's a fine evolution of myself! But it's as much as I can create without my brother's help! He gains attack equal to the attack of all Monsters on your field with Predator Counters!"
"What?!"Triphyoverutum screeched as green energy flowed into it from Absolute and Joker.

"Can you overcome this?! Or even with Ancient One… are you not strong enough?! Triphyoverutum attack!"
"Always mocking me…. always thinking you're above me…. you won't mock me anymore! My Trap, Cross Damage! Any damage I take is given to you!"
"COWARD!" Triphyoverutum fired a triple dark blaze fireball at Absolute. The blast struck the Xyz Monster and Odd-Eyes, sending them flying. The Trap activated and fired a similar attack at Starving directly, repeating the same to him.

"Damn you…." Starving said as he stood up.
"You're the only one who can give me a match, Starving…." Odd-Eyes weakly replied as green energy flowed from Yuya's pendant into Starving.
"Well… look at this! It seems the power is now being shared!"
"Impossible… I discovered it!"
"And now I can absorb Clear Wing and Dark Rebellion! I guess the race is on…. until next time, Odd-Eyes!" Starving hit Yuri's duel disk and a purple portal opened up and Starving vanished into it.
"Weakling…. I'll take Dark Rebellion right no-" Odd-Eyes fell to the floor as the duel had worn him out.

"Galaxy-Eyes!"
"Shark Drake!"
Haruto and Shark yelled as their respective Monsters launched their respective attacks at the Academia soldiers. The soldiers were sent flying as they dropped to zero lifepoints.
"Samurai!"
Ray's Ritual Monster charged in and slashed another soldier away.
Ray had been able to make it back to the Lancers and Resistance who were fighting off the remnants of Academia being controlled by Starving. One by one each were defeated and sent back to Fusion. As Luna and Rio were about to attack their opponents stopped and looked blankly at the floor..
"Now what?" Luna replied as each soldier fainted and teleported away.
"They're… going?" Shun added.
"Must be a mass teleportation?" Reiji said as his duel disk faded while he looked around. Seconds later all had disappeared.
"Did we just get lucky?" Masumi spoke.
The group heard more footsteps approaching and they readied up again however this time it was Yuzu who had made her way back.

"That demon took Yuya…. for good?" Gongenzaka stuttered. Everyone now sat around on rubble or the ground.
"Yeah and…. I don't know what happened after that…."
"You had to leave, it was the right decision." Masumi added. "You could've got hurt in the damage."
"I felt Dark Rebellion… calling me during that time." Yuto said. "And now…. I don't feel anything."
"So they must've left… whichever one won.."
"Yeah and Gloria nor Grace haven't returned either." Reiji replied.
"Nor my father." Haruto sombrely said. Anna put her arm around him.
"Mina left; Dennis got turned into a card by her… Ryo is missing and Academia has left this dimension it seems. I think… we're the last ones left?" Rio exclaimed.
"Then…. who won?" Ruri added. "They destroyed this world and took everyone else out but…. we got them out of Heartland."
"Academia has no interest in this world anymore." Reiji said as he stood up.
"We're glad you came." Rio replied. "Without you guys…."
"It wasn't us… you kept everyone going and kept us safe." Ray answered.
"We were going to come to Xyz after we returned to Standard from Synchro but somehow the dimensional portal bugged out and we ended up here earlier than we thought… but I'm glad it did." Yuzu said.
"We need to be careful. I'm guessing the dimensional block in Synchro overloaded the dimensional crossing system…. hence why you came to Xyz instead of Standard." Reiji added. "And now the same has happened here… last thing we want is to go to Fusion with the same."
"So we go home?" Reira said.
"Yes, we came here to find Yuzu and the others and we have…. we might've lost Grace and Sora but we return home with more allies…."
"We will find them again?"
"We will." Reiji said.
"Wait? We need to stay here!" Haruto replied.
"But Standard is being protected by a dome." Reira said.
"A dome? Sounds… nice." Anna said to herself.
"Our world was attacked and destroyed but not as badly as Heartland." Yuzu replied.
"But Ritual wasn't so lucky."
"Synchro is safe however." Ruri stated.
"Yeah but they will still be rebuilding after the corrupt regime and the battles which went on there. Standard is the best place if they want to come." Yuzu explained.
"It sounds good." Rio replied who stood up.
"Yeah… and now the Resistance is working with the Lancers… we can plan there!"

"Don't you dare!" Shun went over to Yuto and grabbed his shirt.
"Shun!" Ruri shouted.

"Being with you will just invite Academia back to Standard and who knows how much more it can take?! Academia must have enough souls by now so they won't come if there's no reason to!"

"Now that's settled." Reiji hit his duel disk. "This is Reiji Akaba… Kaiba, are you there?"
