Yuzu, Gongenzaka, Masumi were following Ryo through the tight streets of the Fusion Dimension. Numerous rivers flowed through the city and require the group to go over a bridge every now and then.
"How much longer till we get to this forest?" Yuzu asked.
"About five more minutes." Ryo replied. As they continued a sound of a siren was heard ringing around the city.
"Now what?!" Masumi yelled.
"People of the Fusion Dimension, this is Leo Akaba. I apologize for the alarm but this is not a drill. The group known as the Lancers have finally infiltrated our dimension and intend to stop what we've been building."
"Not good…." Gongenzaka added.
"Just keep moving." Ryo replied.
"This Lancers are a grave threat. Please if you witness these figures, report them to your nearest official if you see them. We are also deploying our full force of security and drones."
As Yuzu and the others made their way out of the backstreets they found themselves in a shopping street with stalls and people buying and talking.
"Get back." Ryo pulled Yuzu back into the alley as they saw holoscreens appear in the sky with the four's pictures.
"No way…. Ryo is a traitor?" said a young boy.
"Why?!" another girl said.
"Ryo has joined with these insects… but fear not because Academia remains as your national guard. We will make our new world and we can't do it without you. Please report these Lancers if you see them."
"So many young kids…. falling for the lies…" Yuzu sighed.
"Last time I was here this street was closed.…. fine, there's another route." Ryo said.
The group then heard whizzing in the sky and saw blue drones flying over the nearby streets.
"Damnit!" Ryo looked around.
"We should run for it." Yuzu said. "Agreed?"
"… Fine." Ryo replied. "Down the street. That's the edge of the city and the forest is beyond that."
Yuzu charged forward but as soon as she was about to turn the corner she vanished in a blue aura as did Masumi, Gongenzaka and Ryo.
…..
Yuzu and the others reappeared and landed softly before they reopened their eyes.
"No way!" Yuzu gasped.
"This is new!" Masumi added. The four had found themselves above the clouds, floating in the sky.
"What is this? An Action Field?" Gongenzaka looked around.
"I think that's your answer." Ryo said.
High above the group was the blonde-haired girl in a purple coat, Mina. She floated down and hit the invisible floor below.
"Of course….." Yuzu groaned.
"Is that what your response is? I saved you all!"
"So you're finally ready?"
"To bring back my mother, I sure am! The angel and dragon energy I gained from Synchro and Xyz has finally allowed me to obtain exactly what I need! Not only do I have the power of all combined, I am stronger than all of them! Once I'm done with you, I can easily overcome Leo!"
"So why save us?"
"This power can't stop Leo and the dragons… they also have this energy… but if I could beat one of the angel's reincarnations… a person who still has access to some of the power left by an angel.. it might just be enough!"
"What are you on about now?!"
"I want your body, Yuzu!"
"That's the stupidest thing I've heard yet!" Masumi replied.
"A vessel of the angels might be enough to contain this energy to overcome all the dragons and Leo! I won't bring my mother back until I rid the five worlds of those threats!"
"Then you'll have to duel me, Mina!"
"I wouldn't have it any other way!"
"You can't be accepting this?!" Gongenzaka replied.
"She'll have to!" Mina held up the card which contained the power she had collected and a glass box was formed around Gongenzaka, Masumi and Ryo.
"Mina!" Yuzu yelled.
"Only beating me will free them and you better hurry as they only have so much oxygen in there!"
"Damn you!"
"Yuzu…. don't worry about us…. just beat her!" Gongenzaka yelled.
"Better to save our breath." Ryo added. "We have to trust her."
"And we do, come on, Yuzu!" Masumi cheered.
"Mina…. fine, let's go!"
Turn 1

"I use Shaddoll Fusion! I send material from my hand! I use Reeshaddoll Wendi and Shaddoll Hedgehog! I Fusion Summon, El Shaddoll Winda!" A green haired female in a purple outfit appeared on top of a dragon. It seemed to be its tamer.
El Shaddoll Winda ATK: 2200 DEF: 800 Dark/Spellcaster/Fusion/LVL 5
"Since I sent the Monsters to the graveyard I use my material's effects! Hedgehog allows me to add a Shaddoll Monster to my hand! I add Falco and Wendi allows me to set a Shaddoll Monster from my deck my deck to the field!"
Shaddoll Falco appeared on the field before being flipped down.
"I set one card and end my turn!"
Turn 2

"I draw!"
"Winda's effect only allows you to Special Summon once per turn, Yuzu… in case you forgot!"
"Trust me, Mina… it's hard to forget anything you've done! Putting people at risk…. that's all that matters to you!"
"All I've ever wanted is to bring my mother back!"
"And trying to kill Roget? Pretending to be our friend?!"
"That was needed! But in the end I couldn't even kill Roget!" Mina hit back.
"You freed Yuto from Academia…. Mina, you're capable of doing good!"
"Don't you get me still?! I want to kill and experiment on anyone with powers!"
"I never said it was your fault! Your father is the Doctor…. you've been through a war already… losing your own mother… that's enough to make anyone go mad!"
"Don't you dare insult me! This power intrigues me; it's not a result of madness!"
"I won't let you cross that line of no return, Mina…. I set scale three Serenade the Melodious Pendulum and scale nine Argerich the Melodious Pianist!"
Serenade 3 – 9 Arerich
"Let's go, Warrior! I Pendulum Summon you!" The Pendulum portal opened above and Yuzu's red cloaked duel spirit emerged.
Queen Knight: The Pendulum Warrior ATK: 2500 DEF: 2000 Light /Warrior/Pendulum/LVL 7/Scale 4
"So the duel spirit who took us into her card to see what happened in the past…. nice to see you again!" Mina smirked to Warrior.
"Mina…. we've both been through a war…. war affects people differently…. I'm missing my wife, Emma, I do understand you." Warrior said.
"I don't care what you think, just duel!"
"Fine! I use the Equip Spell Pendulum Sword on Warrior! When a Monster is Pendulum Summoned this increases their attack by 1000!" Warrior gained a new larger sword whose handle was green and blue.
Warrior ATK: 3500
"Attack, Winda!" Warrior leapt in the sky and slashed down the sword across the Fusion Monster, destroying her.
Mina LP: 4000 – 2700
"Warrior inflicts damage to you equal to the destroyed Monster's attack!" Warrior slashed across Mina's chest this time as she bent down to the ground grabbing her chest.
Mina LP: 2700 – 500
"Yeah…. well when Winda leaves the field I add Shaddoll Fusion from my grave back to my hand…." Mina said as she took it from her duel disk.
"I end my turn. Pendulum Sword is now destroyed."
Warrior ATK: 2500
"Good job, Yuzu." Masumi said from inside the box.
"Save your breath…. I'll get you out soon." Yuzu replied.
"Yeah about that…. each time I take damage… the air in there gets less!"
"What?!" Yuzu looked back and could see Ryo struggling as his body was still weak from Leo's attack. Masumi and Gongenzaka both tried to help him but they too felt the air getting thinner.
"It's a nice surprise isn't it?!"
"Mina! Damnit… Warrior, try and smash the box open!"
"Really? Do you really think that will work?! I've made this place exactly how I want it! Surrender, Yuzu, allow my soul to take your body and I'll let them go!" Mina smirked.
"I can't! Why must we do this now? We've got a common enemy!"
"Because I'm the best person to stop them and I need your angel-made body to truly harness the power I collected! I can end this war now!"
"That's the problem, Mina…. I can't trust you! You might end it but will the world be in a better place?! You want to kill Yuya and the others!"
"Yuya has to die! Odd-Eyes is Yuya! You need to accept loss, like I have!"
"Not if it can be prevented!" Yuzu slammed back.
"You'll have to make a tough decision, Yuzu…. I'm willing to do whatever it takes! Yuya and Odd-Eyes are one in the same… they have to die! Scum like that shouldn't be alive while good people like my mother are dead!"
"I don't think they can bring her back, Mina!"
"Well that's false! Why do you think I chose the sky? Because it's closer to her soul which acceded!"
"Mina….." Yuzu sighed.
Turn 3

"I won't listen to it! I draw! I Flip Summon Falco!"

"It allows me to bring back Winda from my graveyard!"

"I use my Trap Reshaddoll Incarnation! I bring back another Shaddoll from my graveyard face down! I choose Wendi!"
A female with long blonde hair and a purple cape emerged before being flipped down.
"I use my Spell Fusion Gain! I return a Fusion Monster back to my extra deck to gain 1500 lifepoints! I return Winda"
Mina LP: 500 – 2000
"So you can now Special Summon more than once again….. fine… but give them back the air!" Yuzu replied.
"You have no room to demand, Yuzu! I banish Reshaddoll Incarnation along with Hedgehog from my graveyard which allows me to flip Wendi to face up defence position!"
Reeshaddoll Wendi ATK: 1500 DEF: 1000 Wind/Physic/Flip/LVL 3
"Wendi's flip effect! I Summon a Shaddoll from my deck! Appear Shaddoll Hedgehog!" A purple hedgehog surrounded in a dark glow emerged.
Shaddoll Hedgehog ATK: 800 DEF: 200 Dark/Spellcaster/Flip/LVL 3
"And she still has a Fusion Card…." Ryo said weakly who was now sitting.
"Ryo, please…. save your breath."
"We need a way out of here!" Gongenzaka said as he tried to punch the box but nothing happened.
"And my duel disk isn't working…." Masumi replied as she looked at it. "We can't do anything!"
"We have to try! Yuzu can't lose this… not for us!"
Back with Mina she grabbed a card from her hand with glee.
"Go Shaddoll Fusion again! I fuse Hedgehog and Wendi! Appear before me, El Shaddoll Apokalone!" Emerging from the skies was a female magician in purple robes with long blue hair riding a purple serpent with glowing fins.

"Now Wendi and Hedgehog's effects! When used as Fusion Material Wendi lets me summon a Shaddoll face down! I choose Shaddoll Beast!"
A purple hound with purple armour appeared before being set facedown.
"Now Hedgehog lets me add a Shaddoll Monster to my hand from my deck. I add Qadshaddoll Keios. Apokalone's effect allows me to negate a card's effect! I negateArerich! Now you can't stop me from targeting a Monster with card effects… I now attack!"
"But Warrior has equal attack? What are you hiding?!"
"Apokalone can't be destroyed in battle!"
The magician on top of Apkalone raised her staff which flowed energy into the beast's mouth. It fired a bright blue beam taking out Warrior.
"Now Falco, direct attack!"
Yuzu LP: 4000 – 3400
"I use the Quick Play Spell De-Fusion from my hand! I return Apokalone to my extra deck to summon Hedgehog and Wendi!"

Shaddoll Hedgehog ATK: 800 DEF: 200 Dark/Spellcaster/Flip/LVL 3
"Attack, Wendi!" Wendi fired a dark aura blast at Yuzu which hit her shoulder.
Yuzu LP: 3400 – 1900
"And you, Hedgehog!" Hedgehog curled up and fired dark spikes from its back onto Yuzu.
Yuzu LP: 1900 – 1100
"I end my turn!"
"Damnit…. rapid attacks…." Yuzu gritted her teeth.
"What will you do now, Yuzu?!" Mina mocked. "Can't damage me…. and Ryo isn't looking too good is he?"
Yuzu looked behind and saw Ryo now struggling to stay awake as Masumi was trying to keep him going but even she was looking worse for wear. Gongenzaka looked with hope as he couldn't work out how to break out of the box.
"Mina, please… I beg you… just let them go!"
"Surrender then!"
"I won't do that! I can't! For Yuya!"
"Well then they die then! You must choose, Yuzu! Let me take your body and Yuya dies with my power or you can try to beat me but your friends over there suffocate!"
"I won't lose anyone! I can't!"
"I lost someone now you will as well!"
"I lost my father! Yuya! The kids from You Show… Sora… Shingo… Mieru… don't act like I haven't!"
"But they might come back if Academia is stopped! I want you to feel REAL loss!" Mina yelled.
"I never had a mother…. Ciel told me before…. she said I was created….. as her reincarnation at the same time as the others! I'm not even really real!"
"What…? You didn't?"
"No. That's the truth. Ray had parents… same for Ruri but for me, Rin and Serena… we didn't! At least you had one!" Yuzu pleaded.
"….. Damn you…. fine, I'll duel you on your own!" Mina raised her hand which glowed as the cage disappeared.
"Mina…. thank you." Yuzu replied with surprise at her actions.
"Don't get the wrong idea!"
"Masumi… are you and Ryo okay?"
"Yeah but…. I need to sit down…."
"I'll look after them." Gongenzaka said. Yuzu nodded back as she returned to the duel.
Turn 4

"I draw!" Yuzu declared.
"We can now focus on the duel at hand." Warrior said to her in spirit form.
"Yes and this will help. I use the Spell Scale Up! I increase Arerich's scale by two until the end of this turn!"
Serenade 3 – 11 Arerich
"I now Pendulum Summon a new evolution! Appear Queen Knight Legendary Pendulum Warrior!"
Shinning from the sky was pink light which faded away showing a pink spiky long haired women with a sleeveless red shirt, short pink skirt, long white knee socks and brown boots. Around her neck she wears a long white scarf with shredded ends,

"Now this is a new look for Warrior and she gains attack equal to the attack of a Pendulum Monster face up in my extra deck until the end of my turn!"

"Attack, Legendary!"
Legendary took out a thin sharp-pointed sword from her brown belt and slashed at Shaddoll Falco.
"I banish Fusion Gain! By paying halve of my lifepoints I can resummon the Monster I sent back to my extra deck using this card by negating its effects!"
Mina LP: 2000 – 1000
"Then you must attack it!"
"You're returning Winda?!"
"That's correct!" Mina said as she returned to block the hit in front of Falco in defence.
El Shaddoll Winda ATK: 2200 DEF: 800 Dark/Spellcaster/Fusion/LVL 5
Legendary slashed across Winda easily getting through her lower defence.
"You escaped again…. I set one card and end my turn. Legendary drops her attack back to normal. And Arerich's scale goes back as well."

"I won't give up, Yuzu." Mina said. "I can't!"
"Mina, I can't let you do that but I am grateful you freed my friends."
"But now I'll end this duel and take your body!"

"I draw…. and now it's over!"
"She has four Shaddolls… each with an effect which triggers if they're used as Fusion Material…" Masumi stated.
"And a Fusion Monster to come…"
"I Flip Summon Shaddoll Beast!"

"And here's my fifth! Qadshaddoll Keios!" A black and golden ghoul emerged.

"I use El Shaddoll Fusion to fuse Beast and Keios! "Appear, El Shaddoll Construct!"
Both Monsters fused in the whirlpool as a bright light shot down. From it emerged a mighty tall purple angel. It had purple clothing with long pink wings.
El Shaddoll Construct ATK: 2800 DEF: 2500 Light/Fairy/Fusion/LVL 8
"Beast allows me to draw a card when it's sent to the grave while Keios allows me to send the Falco in my hand to increase all Monster's attack and defence by that Monster's level x 100! Since it's level two, they all gain 200!"
Mina drew her card as her Monsters powered up.
Construct ATK: 3000 DEF: 2700
Hedgehog ATK: 1000 DEF: 400
Falco ATK: 800 DEF: 1600
Wendi ATK: 1700 DEF: 1200
"Now Construct lets me send a Shaddoll to my graveyard from my deck and I'm sending Shaddoll Dragon! When I do, I can destroy a Spell on the field! Goodbye Arerich!"
Yuzu could only watch as her Pendulum Scale was wiped out above her.
"Now, Yuzu…. it's the end but just in case you're thinking of surviving, I'll put Falco and Hedgehog into defence…. Construct, take out Legendary!"
Construct powered up a light beam and fired it at Legendary who could do nothing but fall victim to the blast. The strike sent Yuzu flying backwards.
Yuzu LP: 1100 – 900
"Wendi, end this!"
"I use my Trap Show End! When I take battle damage I end the Battle Phase then I add a Melodious Pendulum Monster with a lesser level than the one which game me damage!"
"Just what she needed!" Gongenzaka cheered.
"I add Melodious Prima Simphony!"
"I set one card…. I end there… I won't lose… I can't! I planned to much for this!"
"I'm sorry, Mina but I won't either!"
Turn 6
Mina LP: 1000 Hand: 1
Yuzu LP: 900 Hand: 1
"I draw!" Yuzu yelled. "I set Simphony!"
Serenade 3 – 8 Simphony
"I Pendulum Summon Warrior back to my field!"

"And now I banish Serenade! This Pendulum effect allows me to bring back a level five or higher Pendulum Monster back from my extra deck!"
"You'll remove your own scale for that?!" Mina yelled as a bright light shone from above and Warrior's evolved form appeared next to her.

"I tribute Legendary and Warrior!"
"A Tribute Summon now?!"
"I Tribute Summon level ten Queen Knight the Aggressive Warrior!" The two Warrior's flew into the sky as they formed into a bulkier female with red armour while longer blonde hair. Her sword was longer as well.
Queen Knight the Aggressive Warrior Warrior/Effect Light LV 10 ATK/3500 DEF/3000
"Aggressive? So the cards she lent to Yuya are now yours?!"
"Yes! Ciel's Queen Knights and my Melodious work hand in hand!"
"I use my Trap! Sinister Shaddoll Freight! I send a Shaddoll from my deck and one from my hand to the graveyard to switch Construct and Wendi to defence! However their effects won't activate in the graveyard… I send Falco from my deck and my second Dragon from my hand!"
Wendi and Construct both changed to more defensive looks.
"Aggressive gains 900 attack for each Monster on the field! There's five!"
Aggressive ATK: 8000
"But it's useless unless she can take out her defence…" Masumi stated.
"I have an answer to that! I return two face up Pendulum Monsters in my extra deck back to my deck to re add Pendulum Sword to my hand! I return Legendary and Arerich! Now I equip Pendulum Sword to her!"
"But she's not a Pendulum?"
"Exactly, Mina! When a non-Pendulum is equipped with this, it's destroyed!" The sword exploded taking Aggressive with her.
"Whatever you have in plan…. it won't work!"
"Pendulum Sword can be used in two ways just like Pendulums! When it's destroyed after being equipped to a non-Pendulum, for each 1000 attack the Monster had I can return that amount of cards on your field back to your hand!"
"No way!"
"I have more than enough to blow away your wall, Mina!"
Four swords flew from Yuzu's field taking out each one of the Shaddoll's on Mina's field.
"Now, Mina! When Aggressive is destroyed Warrior can be summoned from the extra deck!"
Queen Knight: The Pendulum Warrior ATK: 2500 DEF: 2000 Light /Warrior/Pendulum/LVL 7/Scale 4
"No….!" Mina stood in freight.
"Mina, I win! Go, Warrior!" Yuzu yelled as her ace Monster picked up her sword and slashed across Mina's waist directly.
Mina LP: 1000 – 0 Yuzu Wins
"She actually did it…." Ryo weakly said.
"Thanks, Warrior." Yuzu said who remained in physical form as she wanted to talk to Mina.
"Mina…."
"I…. I can't take your body without beating you… nor will I stop the dragons or Academia now…. but this is still my world!" Mina yelled as she looked up.
She stood up and raised her hand and a sword appeared in it.
"Mina?!" Yuzu yelled.
"Die!" Mina launched the sword and the trio behind Yuzu couldn't react quick enough as it was heading towards her.
Warrior stepped in front of Yuzu as the dagger struck her own sword she used to defend her.
"That's not enough! I'll take you both out!" Mina yelled with rage as the sword increased in power.
"I… can't stop it!" Warrior yelled out as Yuzu's deck lit up showing her numerous Monster's behind her in spirit form including Mozarta. They put out their hands and energy flowed into Warrior which increased her strength.
"Now look at this… the Spirits seem to quite love their master…!" Mina smirked as she teleported behind Yuzu as she held Yuzu in a lock with her arms.
"Let Yuzu go or I make you let her go!" Warrior growled as the sword faded and she could look behind to see.
"I prefer you didn't or I will kill the girl right away and then there will be no one left to help you save that precious angel of yours. Didn't you promise Ciel that you would protect Yuzu?!"
Warrior gritted her teeth troubled. She looked down at Yuzu who seemed to be calm, but her eyes clearly showed fear. Warrior balled her fist. "You damned witch… I swear you won't get away with this!"
"I'll be taking her down to hell! I'll make her die here… choking in my arms!"
"Mina…. please!" Yuzu said weakly. Gongenzaka tried to stop her but Mina blasted him away.
"This is my world I made with the dragon and angel powers…. I can do what I want…. I'll rid you from this world… at least I can still see my mother before the five worlds end!"
"Work with us, Mina!" Yuzu yelled. "Your mother can't come back!"
"That's what you would say….!"
"Mina there is goodness in you… you released my friends… please!"
"I don't know why I did that…. I don't….."
"Because I don't think deep down you can! I think you've lost yourself but your heart is still there!"
"You don't know me!" she yelled. "I….."
Mina heard a voice inside her head and looked up. As she did she let Yuzu go.
"Yuzu!" Masumi ran over to help her. Yuzu looked at Mina but couldn't see what she was looking at.
"Mom?" Mina stuttered. She was seeing her mother in a white dress with long white hair.
"Mina…. look how you've grown."
"But… you're not really here are you?"
"I live on in your memories… and heart… but Mina this isn't you…"
"I just…. I just want to do what's right!"
"I know… your heart is in the right place but this isn't the path for you…. it never was. This world you grew up in shouldn't define your future."
"But Dad… he…."
"I know what he's done as well… he has been driven into madness but you can still avoid that fate. You have avoided stepping over that line of no return and I'm proud of you for it."
"But… I've still committed so many bad things… my desire to experiment…."
"Is that really you, Mina? Do you truly feel it?"
"I…. I feel empty…."
"You've been using that emptiness… to avoid losing someone again…. Mina, you have people here who want to help."
"I…. can't! I lost everyone!"
"You never lost me… your true intentions are pure… and I'm proud of you for that but this path is doomed and you know it."
"I… but how…."
"Mina I love you and I'm not going anywhere… not while you remain your true self…."
"I… love you as well."
Mina held out her hand as did her mother's spirit as Mina returned back to the normal. She dropped onto her knees. As Yuzu and the others wondered what was happening a card dropped from the sky.
