As the sky begins to darken, two groups of men, one group in blue and one group in green, set up camp as their officers sit around the campfire. Everyone is wearing their outfits from Dynasty Warriors 9!

Liu Bei says to Cao Cao, "I am grateful to fight along familiar forces again, as we face off against the treacherous Dong Zhuo."

Cao Cao replied, "Ah yes, it is good to see you, and I am hoping to see the forces of the Sun Jian. Also, again to fight Dong and his tyranny, as we did with the Yellow Turbans."

Zhang Fei chimed in, "Well yeah, if you were capable of killing him yourself, in your assassination plot, this wouldn't be necessary and the emperor wouldn't be hostage."

"Oh, is that what the alcohol is telling you?" Xiahou Yuan said.

Guan Yu chimed in, "For your information, my sworn brother has been applying warrior's discipline to his drinking habits. He hasn't had a drink since the morning, and he won't have another one until sunset, and that will be it for the day."

"Now, calm down everyone," says Cao Cao, "I remember well from the Yellow Turban Rebellion – if Zhang Fei was drunk, we would be smelling it. And it's good that Liu Bei has dealt with his two biggest problems in the Yellow Turban Rebellion – his one sworn borther's drinking habit-"

"Yeah yeah, I know it was bad," interrupts Zhang Fei.

"And the other one? I sense the great skill of your strategist." Cao Cao continued.

Jian Yong replied, "Well, after my good childhood friend, Lui Bei, managed to lose his reward from the rebellion for not paying the proper bribes, he did stop by with his new brothers, and after he told us all what has happened, I gave him some late advice on what he should have done. He asked me to be his strategist. I did manage to help a bit, since he included me.. got some new soldiers, got some new supplies and weapons, and managed to deal with some bandits with him."

Yue Jin said, "Guan Yu, I must ask, do you really deserve the credit for slaying Zhang Jiao during the height of battle, but Dong Zhuo stole the kill?"

Guan Yu replied, "I was the one in conflict with him personally at the time, but I will not forget the work of your lord Cao Cao, or the contributions of Xiahou Dun or Xiahou Yuan. And even though they are not among us now, the forces of Sun Jian all were necessary in defeating him with his sorcery, and deserve more credit than the credit-stealing Dong Zhou in that battle."

Li Dian said, "Sounds like he really shouldn't have gotten much credit for the battle. But I do sense that Dong Zhou is someone himself that we shouldn't write off too easily in his own capabilities."

Xianhou Dun replied, "Yes, remember that Dong Zhou himself is a Muoso warrior, and no one should face him or his so-called adopted son, Lu Bu, alone, under any circumstances during the upcoming battles."

Liu Bei said, "Cao Cao, I remember you were talking about a clansmen who was having some trouble with delinquency. Did that ever get resolved?"

Cao Ren replied, "Yes, I did have some misbehaving problems in my younger years, but I am more than grown out of it by now, and I would appreciate us not discussing it any further."

Zhang Fei said, "Wait, Mr. Stern and serious pacifist soldier man is the cousin you were complaining about being disinherited by your clan? Boys, will wonders ever cease."

Cao Xiu said, "I would appreciate it if you would not condemn members of my clan from earlier indiscretions that they regret before things get serious."

Cao Cao responded, "Now now, even oif we have overcome our past, it is still something that we must remember. And we are not here to fight each other, we are here because we intend to fight Dong Zhuo together. Maybe it's time we attend to some duties, like our camps, for a bit before we allow things to heighten tension-wise between us."

Now Dian Wei said, "My lord, I should guard you as you prepare everything for tonight."

Cao Cao said, "Unnecessary, but appreciated."

Liu Bei's officers looked surprised.

Xiahou Yuan explained, "Our lord did send the instructions for everyone to have a Muoso warrior bodyguard if possible. He doesn't want to be a hypocrite, so he chose Dian Wei when hiring him to be his personal guard. But don't think that stops our lord from being capable in battle himself still. Good thing Dian Wei is a bit faster than him."

Everyone from the camp went about to prepare for the night. There would be more to discuss in the morning.
