The final duel of the quarter-finals in Conner's tournament is underway. Conner's opponent ended up being the mysterious duelist, who turned out to be Tatenashi. Tatenashi claimed that she will win because her tiara allowed her to see the future that she would, but Conner denied any of it. Conner is doing his best to prove it as he currently has 2600LP with his Fear Dragon having 1500atk points and his new White-Eyes Shimmering Dragon having 3200atk points. Tatenashi had 2450LP with her monsters being Akua Sword, Akua Lobster, and Akua Princess Jellyfish at 1300, 1400, and 1700atk points. On top of that, it's Tatenashi's turn and she believes she drew the card that will seal Conner's fate.
"Okay, Conner. You don't believe the power I have is real? Well, you'll believe this is real." Tatenashi said as she was getting ready to make her big move. 'And, since I have this card, there's no way you'll win. Your fate is sealed.' She thought.
"If you want me to believe your powers are real, which I don't, you'll have to prove it!" Conner claimed.
"With pleasure. First, I need to change the field. I will now build my circuit!" Tatenashi said as she started. "The summoning conditions require two water monsters. So, I'll set Akua Lobster and Akua Sword in the link arrows!" Both of her monsters were set into the arrows, both pointing up and down. "I link summon Link Two Akua Princess Dolphin!" She summoned out a new woman that was dressed like a princess with flowing sandy hair. The back of the dress looked like a dolphin's tail with a dolphin pin on it. She also had 1800atk points. "With out Akua Lobster, my Akua Princess Jellyfish does lose power, but that's fine." She claimed as Jellyfish's power dropped to 1400. "Next, I activate Link Pressure! When I have two water-attribute link monsters that are co-linked to each other, I can lower your monsters' attack points by 500 for both of them!" Both of Conner's monsters lost power as their attack points dropped to 2700 and 1000.
"Did she say co-linked? What does that mean?" Charlotte questioned.
"It's when two link monsters have their arrows pointing to each other." Senshi explained. "Since both of her Akua Princesses have their link arrows pointing at each other, it meant they're co-linked. Tatenashi couldn't activate her spell without that."
"My monsters might still be weaker, but that's about to change." Tatenashi claimed. "Did you know that you can use a link monster for the link materials of another link monster that has higher links? Let me show you what I mean! I set Akua Princess Jellyfish and Dolphin in the link arrows!" The circuit opened again with both of her monsters going in, but Dolphin was split in two as they were placed in the arrows pointing up and in the two lower corners. "I link summon Link Three Akua Princess Sea Serpent!" Tatenashi summoned out a new monster dressed as royalty with flowing blonde hair and wore a headpiece that looked like the face of a serpent. She also had 2600atk points.
"Not bad, but my Shimmering Dragon is still stronger." Conner pointed out.
"True, but that's about to change." Tatenashi claimed. "When Akua Princess Dolphin is used to link summon, that link monster gains 200atk points for each of it's link arrows. Since Sea Serpent is link three, she gains 300atk points." Sea Serpent's power increased to 3200. "I'm afraid your dragon is all washed up. Akua Princess Sea Serpent, turn out the lights on his dragon! Attack with Torrent Raze!" Her princess unleashed its power as a cyclone of water was formed and sent on Shimmering Dragon. Shimmering Dragon was caught up in the attack and was destroyed with Conner's life points dropping down to 2100.
"Awesome! That dragon looked tough, but she blew it away!" Rin cheered until she realized something. "Hold on. Why didn't she attack Fear Dragon when it was much weaker? She could have dealt even more damage and Conner would have only 400LP left."
"It's because Conner has his second White-Eyes Silver Dragon waiting in his hand." Laura explained. "His Shimmering Dragon would have allowed him to summon it."
"And there's also Fear Dragon's ability. Fear Dragon's ability activates when it's in the graveyard." Senshi said. "Taking out Shimmering Dragon was the smarter move, especially if Tatenashi doesn't have anything to defend herself."
"She's still in great trouble!" Conner claimed as everyone looked to him. "White-Eyes Shimmering Dragon has another ability! When it's destroyed, I can bring out White-Eyes Silver Dragon from my graveyard!" He brought back his ace monster as it rose in defense mode with 2500def points. "I might have had to summon it in defense mode, but that can change next turn."
"So Conner was ready to bring out his dragon no matter what!" Cecilia claimed.
"And he probably has something more." Laura said.
"Nice try, Tatenashi. You thought you could get rid of my dragons, but you failed." Conner said. "Can't you see that my dragons are all-powerful and you can't beat them. Therefore, there's no way you can beat me."
"So ignorant. It's no wonder people don't like being around you." Tatenashi playfully teased. "Why is it you're that way, Conner? Had it rough with Daddy? You think you're all great and powerful because of where you are? While you are a skilled duelist, someone like you should know that no one can handle everything alone."
"I'm sorry. Is this a duel or a therapy session? Just make end your turn so I can finish you!" Conner insisted.
"Fine. I'll just place one card facedown and that ends my turn." Tatenashi said as she placed they key card of her win in place.
"My turn!" Conner said as he drew his next card. "First, I'll play it safe by switching Fear Dragon into defense mode." His dragon switched to defense mode with it having 1200def points. "I'm also going to switch my trusted White-Eyes Silver Dragon into attack mode!" He switched his dragon into attack mode with it having 3000atk points.
"Am I suppose to be intimidated? My Akua Princess is still stronger." Tatenashi taunted. "There's one other thing you should probably know. As long as there are no monsters next to her links, she can't be destroyed in battle. Plus, if there is one, and it's the one pointed to your field, I can just remove a link monster in my graveyard from play. Sorry, but my monster is the better one."
"That's about to change once I play this." Conner claimed. "I play Dragon Intimidation! When I have a dragon on the field that is level five or higher, your monsters lose 1000atk points!" His White-Eyes unleashed a sinister roar that hit Tatenashi's monster and caused her attack points to drop to 2200.
"His dragon is stronger again!" Cecilia said.
"True, but Tatenashi claimed that her monster can't be destroyed in battle, at least not this turn." Senshi claimed.
"I might not be able to destroy your monster, but I can still deal damage!" Conner claimed. "White-Eyes Silver Dragon, attack her Akua Princess!" His dragon build power and was about to unleash it.
"Wait just one minute, Conner! I activate my trap!" Tatenashi interrupted. "I play Blast From Within! I can equip this card right on my Akua Princess Sea Serpent! Now, since you're attacking my monster, we both end up taking damage!"
"Both of us? Fine." Conner said as that didn't scare him. His dragon unleashed its power, but the princess formed a wall of water to block the attack. When that happened, both of their life points dropped to 1300 and 1650LP.
'That's right, Conner. Step right into my trap.' Tatenashi thought. 'What you don't know is that Blast From Within has another effect. After your monster attacks, even if mine isn't destroyed, my trap is placed on your monster. You're going to make it so I can't summon or attack my next turn. Come your next turn, you will attack with your dragon. When you do, my trap will destroy it and you'll take damage equal to your monster's attack points.' Her trap was set as the trap was placed inside his dragon, beating like a heart, beating to build power to destroy it. Once that happens, Conner is finished.
"I place two cards facedown and end my turn!" Conner said.
"My turn!" Tatenashi said.
"That's right, and since it is, I can now use both my trap cards!" Conner claimed. "The first is Fiendish Chain!" When he played that, chains coiled around her only monster and trapped her. "That negates your monster's special ability as well prevent you from attacking. The second is Hazard Land! Since I just used a card effect on one of your monsters, you're not allowed to summon any monster with equal or less attack points."
"Oh no! That means I can't summon a thing!" Tatenashi said. "I guess I have no choice. I can't really play anything, so I end my turn." She playfully teased as everything was going just as she predicted.
"Just end her turn? She didn't even play any spells or traps!" Cecilia said.
"This could be it!" Rin said, but Tatenashi was about to prove them wrong.
"My turn!" Conner said as he drew his next card with Tatenashi waiting for him to do what she knows he'll do. "Your time is up. I will now..." Conner was about to make his move when he suddenly felt something. It stopped him from doing anything. Tatenashi certainly didn't expect that. 'What's going on with me?' He could hear his dragon roaring, but it was coming from the dragon in his hand. 'What is this? It's like there's something telling me to play my second dragon instead of attacking.' The roaring continued. Whatever Conner was feeling wasn't going away. 'It's like something is screaming in my head to play this card, but I don't get it. It's... It's too much to ignore.'
"What's going on with Conner?" Charlotte questioned.
"Big Brother? What's wrong?" Mila said as none of them, not even Tatenashi could understand.
'It won't stop.' Conner thought as he tried his best to ignore it, but it just wouldn't stop. The only way it would is if Conner gives in. "I now sacrifice both my White-Eyes Silver Dragon and my Fear Dragon to summon my second White-Eyes Silver Dragon!" Conner pulled a surprising move as he released both of his monsters to summon out his second.
"Conner sacrificed his favorite dragon to summon another copy of that monster?" Laura questioned.
"That makes no sense. Why would he do that?" Rin questioned.
'Something is wrong. This is not the future I saw.' Tatenashi thought as this wasn't right at all to her.
"Why are you surprised, Tatenashi? Finally admitting you're a fraud of a psychic?" Conner taunted. "I activate Fear Dragon's special ability! By banishing it from my graveyard, my dragon gains 500atk points and your monster loses 1000!" A change in their monster's power occurred as his dragon now has 3500atk points while the Akua Princess has only 1200. "White-Eyes Silver Dragon, destroy her! Lightning Burst Blast!" He ordered his monster to unleash all of its fury and that's just what it did. Tatenashi couldn't stop it this time as her monster was destroyed and she lost the last of her life points.
"No... This can't be..." Tatenashi said as she dropped down on all fours with her life points dropping all the way to zero. Everyone, especially Senshi, was shocked that Tatenashi lost when she said she would win. Her tiara said she would.
"The winner of the last duel is Conner Knight!" Tate announced.
"Yeah! That's my brother! There's no way you would have lost to her!" Mila cheered as she was really the only one pleased to see Conner won.
"We now have our four finalists!" Tate announced. "Ichika Orimura! Houki Shinonono! Meldrick! Conner Knight! These four will face each other in the finals once we reach our destination!" The four finalists have been decided, but Tatenashi still couldn't understand.
"How can this be? This isn't the future I saw." Tatenashi said.
"Well, it is the future I saw." Conner claimed. "I don't care what you future you think or predicted. I decide my own future! I make my own future! That future will be one where I am the reigning champion!" Conner claimed. He was able to do what so few could. Conner was able to change a destined future. If he could do that, there really could be no telling what might happen from here.
