"I draw!" Ruri yelled. "I play the Spell Rank Upgrade Force! I return my Assembly to the field!"

Lyrilusc - Assembly Nightingale ATK: 0 DEF: 0 Winged Beast/Wind/XYZ/Rank 1

"Now I use her to rebuild the overlay network! Xyz unlock! Appear before me,Uriel Celestial Guardian!"

Assembly launched into the air and flying down before Ruri was Uriel. She was half black and white and had wings on each side.

Uriel Celestial Guardian ATK: 1500 DEF: 2000 Dark/Winged Beast/Xyz/Rank 1+/OU 1

"I was waiting for that. A Rank 1+… a special type of Xyz used by a special Xyz user!" Leo replied.

"Yes and she's very special! When summoned all your Monster's have their attacks halved and she can attack X that many! "Uriel also can't be destroyed in battle and all damage I would take from battles involving her, I gain as lifepoints instead"

Jinzo ATK: 900

Charlemange ATK: 1500

"I equip Uriel with One Power! Since she's still treated as a rank one, this Equip Spell allows her to gain 400 attack X the difference in her rank compared to one Monster's level or rank! I choose your Charlemange which is level seven!"

Uriel ATK: 3900

"Charlemange's effect! All Monsters with 2000 or more attack lose 1000 attack!"

"What?!"

Uriel ATK: 2900

"I attack Jinzo!" Uriel fired white and black feathers from her wings.

"Charlemange's other effect! When you attack a Pendulum Monster while Charlemange is on the field, that Pendulum Monster's attack becomes equal to the attacking Monster!"

Jinzo ATK: 2900

"Uriel can't be destroyed so only Jinzo will be wiped out!" The feathers slashed the human-machine hybrid apart. "And now I attack Charlemange!"

"The same happens again since Charlemange is a Pendulum!"

Uriel fired the feathers again and Leo's Pendulum-Fusion was also destroyed.

"I end my turn…." Ruri sighed. "Uriel regains her attack!"

Uriel ATK: 3900

"Damnit…." Yuto struggled.

"It's okay, Yuto. I wiped out his field." Ruri reassured.

"Yes but now you have nothing left to defend yourself and I have my set scales!" Leo yelled as he drew.

Turn 5

Leo LP: 2200 Hand: 1

Ruri LP: 1000 Hand: 0

"This duel ends here! I Pendulum Summon back my Monsters! Reappear!" Leo's Pendulum portal opened and four lights shot out and back onto the field.

"I use Neos again and this time I fuse it with Charlemange! I Fusion Summon! Celestial Tech Ultimate Ruler!" A bright beam shot down from the sky as a golden castle appeared. It was being circled around by small planets.

"5000…..?!" Ruri stuttered.

"This card can attack you directly and its effect cannot be negated!"

"NO!" yelled Yuto.

"Ruri…." Uriel thought.

"I…. can't stop this…." Ruri froze up.

"But I can!"

"What?!" Leo yelled as Yuto with glowing eyes fired a dark beam which formed in his hands at the duel field.

"Yuto?!" Ruri yelled. The blast struck the floor and sent both Leo and Ruri flying backwards.

"No. Dark Rebellion!"

The duel field faded as Leo's duel disk sparked.

"Well… the Xyz Dragon finally decided to show up!" Leo exclaimed.

"Yuto…. why?"

"His desire to save you was what ended him! I'm finally here and ready to regain my life!" Dark Rebellion smirked.

"Yuto!"

"I'm done with you, girl." Dark Rebellion snapped back. "King Leo however….!"

"Yes, you'll be coming with me."

"You have my brothers…. where are they?"

"Follow me and you'll see!"

"I can teleport to Fusion using Yuto's duel disk…." Dark tried to do just that but the duel disk was deactivated from teleporting.

"We disabled it… in case this happened…." Ruri stuttered.

"I'll find my own way to the Fusion Dimension then! It seems I broke your one as well, Leo…."

"It can be repaired easily enough!" Leo yelled before Dark Rebellion fired another dark blast. This blast slammed Leo into the hallway wall clearing the Xyz Dragon's path.

"I won't let you go!" Ruri had found the courage to grab onto Dark Rebellion's arm.

"Just like Fiona was…. you never stop hoping to see the best in people…. naïve!" Dark Rebellion swung his arm out which launched Ruri across the vault floor.

Kaiba

"Where's Ruri?!" Shun yelled as he came in.

Anna and Shun had just returned to Leo Corp where Kaiba and Rio had just won their duels and rid the building of Obelisk Force.

"As I said, she's down in the vault dueling Leo." Kaiba said. Rio had sent a message to Shun.

"Ruri!" Shun dashed past the others and straight to Ruri and Yuto.

"What about the others?" Anna asked.

They're checking the city for any sign of Edo or remaining Obelisk Force." Kaiba replied.

"Leo got right past us…." Rio regretted.

"You know you couldn't have done anything more." Anna replied.

"Guys!"

"Shun?" Rio spoke back on her duel disk.

"I'm on my way down to Ruri now but she just called me…. Leo is gone and Dark Rebellion took over Yuto and he's on his way to you guys!"

"What?!" Rio yelled.

"I need you two to find and stall Yuto. The building is on lockdown, I'm guessing he'll head for the rooftop. I'll find Leo. Shun, you stay with Ruri." Kaiba said.

"Understood." all replied.

Dark Rebellion reached the rooftop and overlooked the city from above. Because of his superior hearing he could hear Rio and Anna approach up the stairs so he got his duel disk out.

The two reached the top and saw Dark already to go.

"So it's actually you…." Rio said.

"It always was me. I was just buried underneath."

"We'll just have to knock Yuto back!" Anna exclaimed. Both girls activated their duel disks.

" is just what I needed!" Dark gleefully replied.

"Duel!"

Turn 1

Rio/Anna LP: 4000 Hand: 5 Hand: 5

Dark LP: 4000 Hand: 5

"I'll start! I summon Blizzard Falcon!" A blue and green bird emerged.

Blizzard Falcon ATK: 1500 DEF: 1500 Water/Winged Beast/LVL 4

"I playBlizzard Jet!" Rio showed a Spell. "Blizzard Falcon gains 1500 attack until the End Phase!"

Falcon ATK: 3000

"Since Falcon has higher attack then its original amount, it inflicts 1500 points of damage!" Falcon shot down icy shards onto Dark.

Dark LP: 4000 – 2500

"Since I control a Water Winged Beast Monster, I can bring out Gale Eagle from my hand!"From within a snow drift, a white eagle emerged with water markings going down its back.

Gale Eagle ATK: 1600 DEF: 0 Water/Winged Beast/LVL 4

"Overlay! Appear rank four, Ice Beast Zerofyne!" A sliver warrior in the shape of a snowflake emerged.

Ice Beast Zerofyne ATK: 2000 DEF: 2200 Water/Winged Beast/Rank 4/OU 2

"When I use Gale Eagle to Xyz Summon, I can add a Rank Up-Magic Card to my hand! I add Resistance-Rank Up-Magic and play it on Zerofyne! I Xyz Summon again!"

Zerofyne fired into the Xyz whirlpool" A light blue Monster appeared shaped like a spirit. It had a long flowing tail and had sharp icicles attacked to frozen arms.

"I Xyz Summon Ice Spirit – Frost Blade!"

Ice Spirit – Frost Blade ATK: 2600 DEF: 1700 Water/Winged-Beast/Xyz/RNK 5/OU 3

"Resistance-Rank Up gives it 800 more attack!"

Frost Blade ATK: 3400

"I set one card to end my turn!"

Turn 2

Rio/Anna LP: 4000 Hand: 1 Hand: 5

Dark LP: 2500 Hand: 5

"Then I'm up! Draw!" Appear The Phantom Knights of Cloven Helm!"A ghostly sliver knight's helmet emerged with metal hands floating beside it.

The Phantom Knights of Cloven Helm ATK: 1500 DEF: 500 Dark/Warrior/LVL 4

"I play Foolish Burial to send The Phantom Knights of Fragile Armor from my deck to the grave! Now I use Monster Reborn to summon it!" A dark blue piece of amour which had legs and arms appeared. It lacked a head and instead had light blue aura in its place.

"I overlay my two level fours…. go! Xyz Summon! Appear! Rank four! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"

A shadow fired down from the sky and a roar was heard. The black dragon's form appeared.

"Now I'm fully here… I use my effect! I use his two overlay units to halve your Monster's attack and add it to my dragon! Treason Discharge!"

Dark Rebellion OU: 0

Dark Rebellion opened up its wings and thunder charged at Frost Blade.

Frost ATK: 1700

Dark Rebellion ATK: 4200

"I attack!"

"Clearly you never learnt anything from Yuto… my deck relies on my Monster's attack changing! I use the Trap Breeze Power!"

"What?!"

"When you attack a Monster I control with a different attack then its original amount, both are banished and we both take damage equal to my Monster!"

"That's 1700 more damage to you!" Anna added.

"But also to you!"

Dark's attack froze up before Frost and Dark Rebellion but left the field.

Rio/Anna LP: 4000 – 2300

Dark LP: 2500 – 800

"I banish Cloven. During the End Phase I can add a Phantom Knight back to my hand. I set two cards and end my turn. I return Fragile Armour."

"Yuto's deck relies on Trap-Monsters… be careful, Anna." Rio said.

"No worries…. but being careful is a bit boring!"

Turn 3

Rio/Anna LP: 2300 Hand: 1 Hand: 5

Dark LP: 800 Hand: 2

"Fine! I'll overcome that! Draw! I summon Night Express Knight!"It was a knight who was connected to a long white train

Night Express Knight 3000 ATK DEF: 3000 Earth/Machine/LVL 10

"I can Normal Summon without tribute but its attack is reduced to zero."

Express Knight 0

"And since I summoned Earth-Machine Monster, Heavy Freight Train Derricrane can appear by halving its attack and defence!"

A new train-shaped creature appeared in the field; it was yellow and had other carriages.

Heavy Freight Train Dericrane ATK: 1400 DEF: 1000

Anna raised her hand into the sky as she prepared for her big move.

"Now I will build the overlay network and use my two level ten Monsters!" Both trains became energy while the Xyz portal appeared. "I Xyz Summon rank ten Superdreadnought Gun Turret Train - Gustav Max!"

After the explosion faded a new creature in the form of train was revealed on the field. It was different from the others as this had a military design. It had a large gun turret.

Superdreadnought Gun Turret Train - Gustav Max ATK: 3000 DEF: 3000 Earth/Machine/Xyz/Rank 10/OU: 2

"I use an overlay unit to hit you with 2000 damage!"

Gustav OU: 1

"Fire!" Gustav locked onto Dark Rebellion and launched.

"I use Fog Blade! This Continuous Trap negates your Gustav and stops it from attacking!" Dark hit back as the missile faded.

"Annoying… but I won't stop there! If I control an Earth Machine Monster I can summon out Super Express Bullet Train!" A light blue train speeded onto the field.

Super Express Bullet Train ATK: 3000 DEF: 0 Earth/Machine/LVL 10

"I set two cards… and now I send them to the graveyard to allow Bullet to attack!"

"Anna? You're using your whole hand?!"

"We have to try to bring Yuto back!" Anna's two set Traps disappeared as Bullet launched forward.

"Your friend tried to warn you! I use The Phantom Knights of Wrong Magnetring! When you attack I negate the attack and summon this as a Monster!"

The Phantom Knights of Wrong Magnetring ATK: 0 DEF: 0 Dark/Warrior/LVL 2

"I end my turn…"

"It was worth a go, Anna." Rio reassured.

"Yeah but… now it's his turn…"

"I respect that you went all out… for too long people have been trying to free their friend by talking!" Dark replied.

"We've had to survive this way…. and Yuto did the same… I know he's fighting inside of you!"

"Yuto no longer exists!"

Turn 4

Rio/Anna LP: 2300 Hand: 1 Hand: 0

Dark LP: 800 Hand: 2

"I draw! I summon Fragile Armor!"

The Phantom Knights of Fragile Armor ATK: 1000 DEF: 2000 Dark/Warrior/LVL 4

"I play the Spell Burial from a Different Dimension! I return Dark Rebellion and Cloven Helm back to my graveyard! And now I have everything!"

"Everything?" Rio questioned.

"I use the Spell Rank Up-Magic Rebellion Recycle! I banish two level fours from either my field or my graveyard and summon a Dark Xyz from my graveyard! Be gone Fragile and Cloven… I return myself!"

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon ATK: 2500 DEF: 2000 Dragon/Dark/Xyz/Rank 4/OU 0

"And now I can rank myself up and this Spell attaches as an overlay unit!" Dark Rebellion's Monster form flew high into the sky as thunder shot down.

A dark dragon similar to Dark Rebellion took over but this one was taller and had white armour plating around its body. It had bright purple orbs and its wings were styled like stain-glass windows.

"Appear rank five, Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon!"

Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon ATK: 3000 DEF: 2500 Dark/Dragon/Rank 5/OU 2

"If my upgraded form has Dark Rebellion as an overlay unit… I can use these effects! I detach one overlay unit to reduce your Monster to zero while I gain all its attack!"

Requiem fired out its mighty wings and absorbed Gustav's attack.

Requiem OU: 1

Gustav ATK: 0

Requiem ATK: 6000

"6000… Yuto never had this card…." Anna stuttered.

"I will finish you both off! Attack!"

"I send Shield Penguin from my hand! I negate your attack!" Rio yelled.

"I use Requiem's other effect!"

Requiem OU: 0

"I can negate your Monster effect…. and now I can summon Dark Rebellion!" Appearing beside its upgrade Dark Rebellion roared.

"No…."

"I have no interest in killing you… but this will hurt!" Dark gleefully said. "Requiem!"

Requiem fired out its wings again and static lightning formed from both. The lightning fired to Anna and Rio which sent the two flying across the rooftop.

Rio/Anna LP: 2300 – 0 Dark Rebellion Wins

"I can use your duel disk…." Dark Rebellion said as he walked over to the knocked out Rio and Anna. He took Anna's duel disk and set it to open a portal to Fusion.

As he tried he couldn't due to Academia's block.

"So that's how it is?"

Dark Rebellion's hand lit up in a dark aura and it flowed into the duel disk. The power of Dark Rebellion forced the duel disk to open a purple portal.

Dark Rebellion threw down the duel disk and walked through.

Fusion Dimension – Academia

Inside the throne room was Serena wearing all the bracelets. Yuzu, Rin and Ray had just entered the room.

"Serena, let them go." Yuzu said.

"Exactly what I wanted to happen!" Serena took off Yuzu, Rin Ray and Ruri's bracelets and threw them at the floor in front of the girls.

"This is a trap!" Ray yelled.

"Believe what you want…. or you could just listen to their voices?"

Yuzu did just that and could hear something coming from her one.

"Is it…?"

"Yes… I hear it." Warrior said.

Yuzu before thinking anything else ran to her bracelet and took it.

"Yuzu?!" Rin shouted.

"Ciel?" Yuzu asked. "Ciel!"

A faint glimpse of Ciel appeared before Yuzu however she was fading in and out.

"Yuzu…. they….."

"Ciel!"

Rin and Ray took their bracelets as well. Ray also grabbed Ruri's.

"My power…. our power… has been… taken…"

"Linette!" Rin begged.

"Maria!" Ray yelled. There was a faint response from both of them as well.

"You found us…." Linette said. She appeared as an older Rin.

"Who has your power?" Ray asked.

"Leo… absorbed it into his machine…." Maria said.

"But how? Serena?" Yuzu looked to her.

"Elisa is also powerless… but as they were being absorbed… I felt something which called me here."

"Yes… I also felt Ciel before…. so… without their power…?"

"They're dying, Yuzu…. and together, we can bring it back!"

"And help you?!" Rin bellowed.

"I want to know the truth…. can I truly be happy?!"

"What happened?"

"Marina left me on the ground…. Yuri is gone and is no longer interested in Elisa…. Academia shocked me as a child to remove any good emotions I might've had…."

"They did that to you?" Ray said.

"She found out the full truth…." Elisa said. "It's time we unite to take back everything!"

"You can't…. trust her…." Appearing beside the angels was Fiona, Ruri's incarnation.

"We'll find you Ruri, don't worry." Ray said.

"Fiona is right… even though she speaks the truth…. she always has another motive…." Ciel struggled to say.

"So you choose to stand against me?" Serena said. "We can finally be friends!"

"We surely want to get all our power back!" Elisa responded. "We have one final chance!"

"I don't think Leo would just make it that easy!" Yuzu replied.

"Which is why we need to work together! My knowledge could help!" Serena hit back. "You need us or your own angels will die!"

"Or you and Elisa both want their power…" Yuzu looked at Ciel.

"You can't…. Elisa… Elisa has wanted us gone from the start since she sided with Starving…." Ciel stuttered.

"But we can't just let you die!" Rin replied.

"It's better than having a fully powered Elisa…."

"But if the dragons are going to form…. we have no choice." Ray said.

"We have no reason to trust Serena or Elisa but…. Ray's right… we can't stop the dragons…. each time we've tried they… never change back…."

"Yuzu… you can't give up!" Warrior replied.

"I'm being realistic! The second battle between the dragons and the angels is coming…. but maybe this time we can do things differently!"

"So you will help us?" Serena said.

"We need to relive the angels but I can't do that with Elisa around but we also need Elisa… I have no other choice…." Yuzu activated her duel disk.

"What are you doing?" Serena yelled.

"If we need Elisa but can't trust her… then there's one more thing to do…. we have to show her our heart." Yuzu said.
