A/N: Y'all thank Steampunk Chuckster for introducing me to the band The Strike. By the way, you are reading Yuletie Tale, right? If you're not, go right now. I'm serious, it's so, dang, good. Also, Joe is doing his usual with Home for Christmas. Looking for something non Christmasy? How about Halfachance's A Fragile Little Flame. There are many more out there, but those three, they have the fluff we all need.

Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck

A knock sounded at the door. Sarah had left to go to Carina's to put on her dress for the shindig, leaving Chuck alone in the room. He opened the door, and his jaw dropped at the Walker that stood in front of him.

"Now, Chuck," Molly said, a huge smile on her face at his reaction. "You're gonna make my sister insanely jealous if she sees you looking at me like that."

"Molly, you look gorgeous," he said softly. She smiled, pulling him in for a hug. "What's that for?"

"You just being you," she said. She offered him her arm. "Walk me to the event?" Chuck pulled the door shut, and the two walked over to the main room. It was already crowded when they entered. They stood back, watching the group.

Molly smiled. "Sarah would have a field day watching them, if she already knew their personality type." There was a dance floor, and some were… well, dancing, if that's what you wanted to call it.

"Excuse me, are you two together?" a man asked, walking up.

"We are not a couple," Molly said, grinning at Chuck.

"I was wondering if you'd like to dance?"

"I'm sorry," Molly replied. "I'm not interested."

"Gotcha, I'm not trying to steal you from your boyfriend," the guy said, starting to turn away. Chuck saw the look on Molly's face, and it matched his own. It didn't matter if she was with someone or not; if she didn't want to dance, she didn't want to dance.

"You wouldn't be," Molly replied. Chuck swallowed… he knew that tone from her. This guy was in trouble. "I don't want to dance. It has nothing to do with who I am with."

"Oh," the guy said, nodding in a knowing way.

"Oh, what?" Molly asked.

"You're one of those," the guy said, shaking his head. "Either you're a stuck-up feminist, or-"

"I'd choose my next words very carefully if I were you," Molly said in a very low tone.

"Baby, we both know if you went out with me…" the guy began.

"Dude, I think you need to go," Chuck said, stepping in between the two before Molly exploded, and killed the man.

"Bro, don't even play that game. She doesn't swing that way," the guy said.

"You really are a damn moron," Chuck told him. "She's got black belts in things I can't even pronounce, but you keep egging her on." The guy's eyes went wide. "Go," Chuck told him, again.

Molly made a step toward the guy and he scurried away, making Chuck laugh. He turned to Molly.

"I don't have a black belt in anything," she told him.

"He doesn't know that," Chuck told her. He looked at the retreating form. "Asshole… why the hell can't you not dance if you don't want to dance?" He looked around the room. "I'm sorry, I was just trying to make sure you didn't deck him."

"I know, Zondra really wants this," Molly said.

"Pffth," Chuck said. "I didn't want you going to jail for whipping his ass." Molly tried to hold back the laughter. "Although, I bet he wouldn't press charges… then he'd have to admit that you beat him up."

She smiled at him. "You're a good one, Chuck Bartowski," she said softly. "Listen, about what he said-"

"It doesn't matter what he said," Chuck told her. "It's not his business. It's not mine, either, but if there is someone special in your life, make sure they deserve you." Molly smiled at him. She opened her mouth to speak when Chuck's jaw dropped. "Oh good Lord, that's not fair."

Molly turned and saw her sister in a red – some might call salmon – colored dress. Zondra accompanied her in the black suit with a white dress shirt, and Carina wore an emerald dress. Everyone seemed to turn toward them. "Yeah, they're pretty fuggin hot."

"It's not fair how much better Zondra looks in that suit than I look in mine," Chuck muttered.

"Uh, Chuck? You might wanna notice your girlfriend all but openly drooling at the sight of you," Molly told him.

"That's fair, because I'm openly drooling at the sight of her," Chuck told Molly. Sarah walked up to him, shaking her head. He ran a hand down his front. "Like what you see?"

"Do I," Sarah stated.

"Careful Sar," Molly said. "You break it, you buy it."

"Promise?" Sarah asked, grinning at Chuck.

"Uh, that… uh, dress, what do you call that color? Salmon?" Chuck asked, trying to figure out what he did to deserve this woman.

"You call it whatever you want," Sarah told him. Music began, and she smiled, grabbing his hand. "Come on, this is our jam."

"It is?" Chuck asked. "I don't even know what this is."

"You don't?" she asked, shock on her face. "I have finally one-upped the great Chuck Bartowski in music?"

"I have met my match," Chuck said softly. Sarah smiled at him. "Do you mind leading?"

"I trust you," Sarah told him.

"So, what is this?" Chuck asked.

"Eye for an Eye, by The Strike," Sarah told him. Chuck listened and gave her a look. "Listen, you can look at this song two ways."

"I'm listening," Chuck said, as they danced.

"The first way, and what I think is incorrect, is that the tearing out my heart means the person in the song tore out the other's heart," Sarah explained.

"Okay," Chuck said.

"Or, in our case," Sarah continued.

"Our case?" he asked.

"Baby, you have my heart, and I have yours," Sarah told him. Chuck grinned at her. "What do you think?"

"I like that," Chuck told her. The song ended, and the next began, and her eyes lit up. "You know this one, too?"

"Same album," Sarah told him. "It's called Faint of the Heart." Chuck smiled as she danced with him. He looked across the floor and saw Molly and Zondra dancing. He watched them. They weren't touching, but their movements, it was more than two people that danced together. The chorus began and Molly pointed at Zondra and began to sing.

'Cause I've been waiting forever

Waiting on this to start

Can you lend me your hand

I'm a little too faint of heart

Zondra pointed at Molly and she began to sing

In this moment together

Though we feel worlds apart

Can you lend me your hand

I'm a little too faint of heart

A little too faint of heart

Chuck turned his head back and Sarah had an amused smile on her face. "Sarah, I need to ask you something, and it's simply a yes or no question, and- and if you don't want to answer it, it doesn't imply either answer."

"Go ahead, Chuck," Sarah told him, grinning. "I may not answer, though."

"The complications you spoke of, regarding Zondra," Chuck began. He paused.

"Go ahead," she urged.

"It's not your parents, is it?" The way he asked, it was like he was worried. It was like he was about to learn another awful truth. And in that moment, when she thought she couldn't love Chuck Bartowski one bit more, she found out she was wrong.

"No, Chuck, the complication is not my parents," Sarah told him.

"Good," Chuck said, relief covering his face. Sarah shook her head, and moved closer. She threw her arms around his neck, crossing her wrists behind him. "Sarah?"

"I love you," she said, looking right into his eyes. He reached up and gently tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

"Chuck?" they both heard a voice ask. Chuck turned and saw her. Of course this was the moment she showed. "Chuck Bartowski?"

"Hey, Jill," Chuck said, looking at Sarah, who still had her arms around his neck. "How are you?"

"I'm good, really good," Jill told him. "Why are you here, and who is she?"

"This is Sarah, my girlfriend. I'm working with her group," Chuck began.

"You're the IT guy," Jill said, shaking her head. "I had hoped for better for you, but I knew it."

Chuck felt the tension in Sarah. Her arms slid from around his neck, as she turned to Jill. "You must be Jill Roberts," Sarah said, a smile on her face.

"Doctor Jill Roberts," Jill corrected, with a smile.

"Well, I am Doctor Sarah Walker," Sarah told her, watching the other woman's smile falter.

"I'm sure you've heard all about me," Jill said, trying to regain her footing.

Sarah shook her head in the negative. "Well, Morgan told me about you once, but that's about it," Sarah said with a shrug. "Are you here with someone?"

"My fiancé, Dr. Guy LaFleur," Jill told Sarah.

"Oh, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him yet," Sarah said. Jill still had the smile plastered on her face, but it didn't feel like she was smiling at them. A buzzing sound came from Jill's clutch. "Oh, Three-Pee-Oh… is that one of the phone's Chuck created?"

"What?" Jill asked.

"Yes, Mistress Sarah," C3PO replied. "It is one of the more cost-conscious phones Master Chuck created. It does not have some of the features of the high-end model, nor does it have the ability to use all available technology."

"It works?" Jill asked, shock covering her features. She looked at Chuck. "You got it to work?"

"All thanks to you," C3PO chirped. "If I am correct in my calculations – and I almost always am – after you… is dumped the correct term, Master Chuck?"

"It will do," Sarah said. Chuck was in shock, watching the carnage that was taking place.

"Very good, Mistress Sarah," C3PO said. "As I was saying, after you dumped the finest human I have ever had the pleasure of meeting-"

"That's a little much," Chuck muttered.

"-a few months later, I came online," C3PO continued, basically ignoring Chuck. "I was not fully functional at the time, and he has made upgrades on a consistent basis since then. However, it was because of you not being present, that he finally had the time to complete my programing."

"C3PO," Chuck began in a strangled voice.

"That's enough Three-Pee-Oh," Sarah said. "You can power down."

"So, you use him to pick up women now?" Jill asked, smirking.

"No," Chuck told Jill. "Sarah is the first person other than myself I have let have access to Three-Pee-Oh."

"And your father," Jill added.

"No," Chuck told her. "I never did."

"How is it, working for your family?" Jill asked.

Sarah started to answer, but she felt something from Chuck. He straightened a bit. "I don't work for anyone anymore. I have my own company, and I am part of a partnership in Zondra's presentation group."

Jill shook her head, a sad smile on her face. "I always hoped you would get your head out of the clouds and be more, Chuck."

"Jill, I am absolutely great," Chuck told her. It was in that moment, he let it go. The hurt, the pain, the disappointment, it all left him. It was her loss of the relationship they had, not his. He had found better. No… he had found what was right for him. "I have met the love of my life."

"Oh, you two getting married?" Jill asked.

"Someday, I'm sure," Chuck told Jill.

"Trust me, you want to get out now," Jill said to Sarah.

"No, I think you want to leave now," Sarah said to Jill. Jill's eyes widened. "Just because he doesn't want what you wanted, doesn't make him wrong. He's just not right for you, or you for him."

"Listen," Jill insisted. "He will get so wrapped up in his work he will forget about you."

Sarah laughed out loud. "You don't get it, do you? I did the same thing to my ex-boyfriends. Do you know why? Because we weren't right for each other. I have done that to him, by the way… he hasn't done that to me. We love each other. You never loved him. You might have loved the idea of him, the safety of him, the man he was, but you weren't in love with him. Goodnight, Jill."

With that, Sarah turned to Chuck, offering him her arm. The two walked out, followed closely by Zondra, Carina, and Molly.

Chuck and Sarah sat on the deck outside their room. They heard the lock on their door beeping, and the door open. "What the hell?" Chuck asked, turning toward the room.

"I kept a key. Sue me," Zondra said. She had changed out of her suit, and Molly and Carina had changed out of their dresses. Molly and Carina carried a cooler between them. "I see you changed, as well." Chuck and Sarah had also discarded their party clothes for far more casual attire.

"Sorry for ruining your night," Chuck told them. "You should have stayed, and had fun."

"Hey, you're our friend. Besides, we got to dance. And now, we figured it was time for a celebration drink," Carina told him.

"Yeah, but I have to think there's something freeing about dancing and partying where no one knows you," Chuck said.

"We live in LA," Molly reminded Chuck. "Zondra and I can go dance wherever we want, and no one's gonna know us."

"Point," Chuck admitted.

"So," Zondra began. "Chuck, I'm seeing someone."

"So am I," Chuck told her, making her shoot him the evil-eye. "Zondra, I already told Molly; make sure that person deserves you."

Zondra looked at Molly, who shrugged. "Understood," Zondra said.

Chuck turned to Carina. "That goes for you too, by the way."

"No one deserves me," Carina quipped. Everyone laughed at that.

"Carina, I'm serious," Chuck told her after everyone had sobered.

"Sarah, you need to keep him," Molly told Sarah.

"That sounds like you finally got your dog," Chuck told Sarah. She burst out laughing.

"Does that make him a rescue?" Carina asked.

"He's a rescue when he misbehaves at parties," Sarah told Carina. Chuck raised his hands in surrender. Sarah looked at Zondra and Molly.

"So, wanna go to a wedding?" Zondra asked Chuck.

"Jack isn't going to like that," Chuck said to the two of them.

"Not here," Molly told Chuck. "Although…"

"No, we cannot do that to your father," Zondra told her.

"Just tell me where and when," Chuck said. "Do I have to wear that suit?"

"I wish you would," Sarah said, leaning over towards him.

"Get a room," Carina said, opening a beer and passing them around.

"I have one," Chuck reminded her. "To family," Chuck said, holding his up.

"To family," they all said, clinking their bottles together.

A/N: Next time...I'm not sure. Haven't typed a word yet. Vaccine in the morning. We'll see how my arm does, that will dictate when the next one comes out. Don't worry, I have ideas, it's just which idea will I go with. (And some of ya'll might need therapy over Jill, I'm just sayin. :) )
