Title: I'm sippin' tea in yo hood
Summary: Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald are newly graduated and taking a quick tour of Hogwarts together when they stumble into a head prefect Tom Riddle. The sixth-year Marauders run past, desperately chasing after an escaped Moony who thinks this is a game and wants to play.
Post-War Harry Potter watches all of this happen in swiftly mounting horror.
.
Albus has been graduated for a month when Principal Dippet sends an owl, to ask for some assistance with paperwork matters for the next prefects and also just to catch up. Before the summer holidays Albus had -especially knowing he'd be trapped in little Godric's Hollow- insisted that he was always free to help and Dippet could owl him at any time.
That was before Gellert.
They get through the meeting fine, since Albus sort of sat Gellert in Hogsmead and told him to stay, but as soon as Albus steps out of the headmaster's office, he sees a certain blond boy literally just right out there in the middle of the hallway.
"What are you doing?" Albus hisses, snatching Gellert's arm and dragging the taller teenager straight through a tapestry and down a secret passage. "You were supposed to stay until I could sneak you in."
"I was subtle," Gellert tries, lighting their way with nothing but a flick of his fingers to summon little white lights to float around them. One lands in Albus' hair, makes the red look ablaze.
"You didn't talk to anyone did you?" Albus asks worriedly. He didn't get permission to give Gellert a tour because Gellert was a very last-minute addition – as in he followed Albus by tracking his apparation.
"Oh, I met a lovely charms professor," Gellert admits. "Said I was your boyfriend and we were going to have fabulous gay sex all over the castle-"
Albus shoves him into a dusty wall and walks ahead.
Gellert laughs, brushing off his white shirt and the deep blue waistcoat he bought solely because it would match Albus' light blue one. He trots after Albus with his hands behind his back, holding his own wrist. "So what shall we see first? Show me this great Hogwarts library you love bragging about."
"We're not seeing anything now because you've been bad," Albus says sternly and then grimaces.
Gellert chuckles, running his tongue over his teeth. "How bad have I been?" he purrs.
"And I'm done here," Albus mutters, his wand snapping out of the holster spell keeping it up his sleeve. He flicks it a few times and there's loud grinding as stone shifts and the entire castle rearranges itself.
The tunnel forms a door to one side and Albus pulls it open, abruptly two storeys down and on the opposite side of the castle, now facing the Forbidden Forest lit by a late afternoon sun.
"Out," Albus says and taps Gellert's chest with his wand a few times to make him move.
Gellert obediently steps to the side. "Are you going to – no, leave it like that, let them know your power. Do they even know how much you were holding back in school?"
Albus once again rearranges the castle back to normal and tucks his wand away. "I don't want to get into trouble."
"Have to break a few eggs to make an omelette."
"Breakfast is over," Albus retorts dryly but takes Gellert's offered hand and leads him onward. "I'll show you the lake though, since we're here and all."
"And then maybe we swing around to the dorms, make out in your old bed," Gellert offers.
"Your bed is more comfortable," Albus admits and then realises what he said and sighs heavily. "What is wrong with me today?"
Gellert half falls over Albus' shoulder with a grin on his face. "I think you damn well do it on purpose, mein schatz. Forget the lake, let's find a nice tree to hide behind."
"We will not be acting like animals," Albus argues, but starts pulling Gellert into the forest instead of along the tree line.
Two minutes later they're staggering over a tree root, clutching at collars and waistcoats and Albus goes straight for Gellert's neck.
"Mein Gott, hilf mir," Gellert gasps in prayer.
And then the world turns dark, a bulbous moon arcing overhead, the two lost in a sea of dense forest, the castle gone, the birds and insects quiet, their magic sparking in rejection at the artificial air.
There's a haunting howl in the distance.

A/N: Chapters will be cut into different POVs so some might be short. Next is much longer (and Tom Riddle).
Brace yourself, this shit about to get wild.
