"Let's do this together, Reiji!" Yuzu said as she looked next to her.
"With pleasure." Reiji added as both he and Yuzu's duel disks activated.
"I said Yusho wasn't a threat… but I admit turning him into a card gave me a good feeling! But you and your team… you've been a thorn in my side for too long!" Leo yelled as his purple duel disk started. "I'll finish what my underlings couldn't!"
"We don't have much time left…." Ruri looked at the bright green glow from behind Leo. The Arc Area Project continued.
"Reiji isn't the only one who can try and shut it down… we need to find a way out of here." Marina replied as she looked to find a way out of the sealed throne room. "Edo left somehow…"
"We might not be able to stop the dragons from fully forming but we can save the angels!" Yuzu shouted as she was about to begin.

"I Pendulum Summon Queen Knight: Loyal Defender!"Loyal Defenderwas afemale with red hair with brown amour. She wore a green cape and held a large shield with sword.

"And right there… is the combination between you and your angel counterpart… your own deck merged with a Queen Knight." Leo replied.
"Melodious were created for me by Ciel while Queen Knight Monsters fought in the previous world…. something tells me Loyal Defender and her fellow fighters would very much want to avenge everyone you hurt! I set one card and end my turn!"
"I didn't start this war, young lady…. but deep down you know that! Ciel was the one who killed me!"
"She didn't mean to and you know it!"
"Hold your nerve, Yuzu." Reiji said, calming her.
"Yeah…" she replied as she knew he was right.

"Let's begin! Leo drew. "I set scale one Celestial Tech Emperor Caesar and scale eight Tech Celestial Neos!" Caesar was a sliver robot wearing a toga and a wreath crown while Neos was white alien warrior with a steel spike on its head emerged.
Caesar 1 – 8 Neos
"I Pendulum Summon Tech Celestial Stardust Wyvern!" Leo pointed to the sky as the portal opened. A bright white dragon with green wings appeared. It had a red robotic mask over one eye with a jetpack attached to its back.

"Wyvern's effect! I negate all non-Dragon Monsters on your field!"
"All? Argerich can negate targeting but not an effect which negates all of them…." Yuzu said as Stardust unleashed a roar which echoed across the throne room, negating Loyal's effects.
"Next I play Pendulum Power Storm! This Spell reduces your Monster's attack equal to my lowest Pendulum Monster's attack however it's not destroyed in battle and Stardust must attack."
"2500…." Reiji gritted his teeth.
"And Loyal can't use her effect…." Yuzu replied.
"They're going to take huge damage already…." Rin noted.
"He overpowers his opponent…. just like he did to me…" Ruri added.
Loyal ATK: 100
"Go Stardust!" Leo commanded as his green wings sharpened and he launched forward with his jetpack propelling him. The wings slashed Loyal who remained on the field due to Leo's Spell. The blast hit both Reiji and Yuzu to the ground.

"Loyal's attack remains even when the turn ends! I set one card and end my turn."
"Damnit…." Yuzu said as she slowly got up.
"We took some heavy damage but we still have a Monster on the field." Reiji noted.
"If we take another like that… we can't save the angels…."
"Even if you beat me, how would you stop the Arc Area Project?!" Leo gloated. "You won't kill me!"
"No but based on what I've seen, your power is the same as the angels and dragons… it can be stopped via a duel, that's how this world was reborn… the ancient power became cards."
"Which means we stop Leo, Ciel and the others can stop him?" Ray added.
"Exactly." Yuzu nodded.
"As I said, that has to happen first!" Leo looked and smirked as he saw Marina, Serena, Rin, Ray and Ruri had departed from the room leaving just Reira.
Marina had seen one the room's walls had been slightly off from the rest of the walls. It was a secret door Edo had not fully closed.
"I don't recall you giving orders to Marina and the rest of your team to go… how can you run a team when you keep them in check?" Leo asked. "It matters not, my success is assured."
"I didn't need to." Yuzu said. "We might have our differences but we're both fighting for the same cause now. I trust her to get the job done and help the girls find our angels!"
"Marina has seen what's happened to this dimension and wants to end it as much as us!" Reira shouted.
"So the pip-squeak talks…. I forgot this is your dimension as well."
"You adopted me to become a perfect warrior for Academia… and now I help fight against it!" Reira continued.
"What can you do on the sidelines?!" Leo bellowed.
"Reira is there giving me strength… this is personal for both of us!"
"You're still haunted after your mother died at my hand….? I forgot about her! Since I rediscovered my true-self…. I have had no need to remember my fake-self. Those actions were the real me trying to appear! Just like the dragons my true-self was slowly appearing…. Reiji, your father is dead!
"That's good… because I stopped considering you one a long time ago! It'll make things much easier to end you!"
Turn 3
Yuzu/Reiji LP: 1600 Hand: 1 5

"My turn!" Reiji shouted as he drew. "I'll start by removing that annoying Monster! I play the Continuous Spell Dark Contract with the Entities! You'll find out its effect in due course!"
"Yes but your Dark Contracts come with a heavy burden; Reiji… and you're both sharing lifepoints!"
"Well it's bad for you that Reiji is always one step ahead!" Yuzu hit back.
"I use Yuzu's set scales to Pendulum Summon! Emerge D/D Savant Darwin, Lilith and Vice Typhoon!"
Darwin was a bulky human with black, almost fur coming out of his body while Lilith was a pink and green serpent while Vice Typhoon was a green female with blue hair and green skin; she was attached to a blue dragon tail with her right arm a dragon's head. "Next I switch Loyal into defence position… and now I Xyz Summon! I overlay Lilith and Darwin!"Both fired into the whirlpool which formed. "Appear rank fourD/D/D Wave King Caesar!" A warrior in purple amour emerged holding a large sliver sword.

"Now Dark Contract with the Entities activates! When I Xyz Summon a Monster I can banish a card on your field, I'm removing Stardust… however my next Standby Phase, I take 2000 damage. "
A green light lit up from the Spell and pulled Stardust into the card.
"I play another Continuous Spell, Dark Contract with the Gate. This allows me to add another D/D Monster to my hand at the cost of 1000 damage in our next Standby Phase. I add King Leonidas. Now I Xyz Summon once more!"
"Once more?!"
"I can use a rank four to Xyz Summon! I overlay King Caesar to summon rank five, D/D/D Marksman King Tell!"
Wave King disappeared in a burst of water and appearing in his place was a green-skinned man in black amour with a golden lobster shooter in his right hand.

"My Entities can only use its Xyz effect once per turn… but I can still attack! Go King Tell!"
The Monster aimed at Leo with his golden shooter and fired a rapid burst of water from it which struck Leo directly.

"Yes!" Reira cheered.
"Vice Typhoon!"
"As if I would lose now! Trap Card activate! Emperor Gate! If my Pendulum Scales are full and I'm being attack directly, I end your Battle Phase and summon a Pendulum Monster from my deck! I summon a Monster with 1500 or less attack! Celestial Tech Emperor Wilhelm!"A yellow robot dressed in a black uniform similar to Leo emerged.

"You're right! I draw! I Pendulum Summon Celestial Tech Emperor Kinmei and a second Tech Celestial Neos!" Kinmei was a cyborg which sat on a throne.

"Here it comes…." Reiji warned.
"I use Neos to Fusion Summon! I fuse Neos and Kinemi!" Leo clasped his hands together as his two Monsters flew into the Fusion whirlpool. "Celestial Tech Emperor Charlemange take to the field and rule!" A king who wore a blue battle suit with a yellow cape emerged. He had robotic red eyes.

"What?!" Reira bellowed.
"It's fine, Reira." Yuzu reassured. "Ruri told me about Leo's deck."
"She lost and so will both of you! Attack, Charlemange!"
"I use my Trap!" Yuzu yelled. "Melodious Requiem! I send a Melodious from my deck to negate the attack and if it was a Pendulum, we gain lifepoints equal to halve of her attack! I send Beethovta the Melodious Maestra and her 2400 attack gives me 1200 lifepoints!" Yuzu glowed in a yellow light as she gained life.

"I switch Wilhelm to defence and end my turn with a face down!"
"They survived but now…." Reira thought.

"Draw!"
"But now they'll take damage!" Reira yelled.
"You know me better than that Reira!" Reiji yelled. "When I would take effect damage, I can Special Summon D/D/D Rebel King Leonidas! Since I choose to take damage from Dark Contract with the Entities first, I summon Leonidas in its place!" A mighty knight in gold and blue amour came. He had a huge sword with a giant golden shield.

"We gain the lifepoints we would've lost!" Yuzu added as Reiji lit up in a golden glow.

"4800!" Reira cheered.
"But you still have your second Dark Contract!" Leo replied.
"No as Leonidas prevents effect damage!"
"We survived…" Yuzu affirmed. Yuzu looked at her hand and nodded. "Using my set scales I Pendulum Summon Mozarta!" Yuzu's red fairy ace fired onto the field from the Pendulum Scales.

"So the monster that Starving Venom stole the voice off has appeared!"
"Not just that, he sealed Pendulum Warrior's wife away!"
"Use King Tell's effect." Reiji said.
"Right! I use one overlay unit from King Tell!"

"If we took effect damage this turn, by using an overlay unit, one Monster on your field loses 1000 attack and defence!" Reiji yelled. King Tell aimed his golden blaster at Charlemagne at fired it. A beam of darkness hit it.

"So you copied Charlemange's effect?"
"Not just that! You also take 1000 damage!"
"What?!" Leo yelled as King Tell fired another dark blast. This time it was aimed at Leo and struck him in the chest which sent him flying.
Leo LP: 1700 – 700
"Now I activate Dark Contract with the Gate to allow Reiji to add a D/D to his hand!"
"And I shall add a Swirl Slime!"
"I can tell you've both on a long trip together… you're bouncing off each other's moves…!" Leo said.
"You sound surprised, Leo?" Yuzu mocked. "Not used to having to work with someone?"
"You are most wrong, little girl! All I have ever done is to look after my people! They follow through pure loyalty, not through fear!"
"Nonsense! What about all those who have been controlled? Those who obey you through fear?" Reiji hit back.
"I never said everyone did… right now I can't control everything…."
"And I guess this control will come from your utopia?!" Yuzu shouted.
"Once I have the dragons merged and angel's power drained…. then yes it will!"
"I tribute Mozarta and Loyal Paladin to Tribute Summon!"
"A Tribute Summon?!"
"Appear Queen Knight the Aggressive Warrior!"A bulky female with red armour while longer blonde hair. Her sword was longer as well.
Queen Knight the Aggressive Warrior ATK: 3500 DEF: 3000 Light/Warrior/LVL 10
"Summon what you want but it my Fusion still reduces its attack by 1000!" Leo yelled.

"Yes but Warrior's upgraded form gains 900 attack for each Monster on the field! There's four on our side and one on yours!"
Aggressive ATK: 7000
"7000? Amazing!" Reira cheered.
"And Warrior has been waiting quite a long time to reunite with you on the battle field, Leo!"
"I'll make sure you never hurt anyone again!" Warrior yelled.
"I won't need to hurt anyone anymore once I get what I want!"
""She also cannot be affected by Spells or Traps nor can you use any effects during the Battle Phase! Aggressive attack Charl-" Yuzu ordered as Warrior lifted her sword and launched towards the Fusion Monster.
"That's quite the Monster but understand for one of her strongest forms…. but I also have an upgrade! I'll be making my move before you enter the Battle Phase!"
"What?!"
"I use the Quick Play Spell, Emperor Reign!"
"Of course he had a response…." Reiji snarled.
"I end the Battle Phase since I control anEmperor Fusion-Pendulum then I gain lifepoints equal to halve of my Monster's attack!"
Leo LP: 700 – 1700
"I end my turn by switching all of Reiji's Monsters into defence position."
"I give you credit, you almost had me… you fight just like Ciel did all those years ago… but say you do beat me, how do you plan to stop the dragons when they merge?"
"Using the angels of course!"
"They had to unite to break up the dragons… if they could've won they would! They were both evenly matched, both had the great power that became Pendulum… if you do have them fight, the only option would be the same!"
"There's always an alternative way out!"
"You don't get it, do you?! You're nothing more than a remnant of Ciel… the same as the all your other counterparts, you're a weaker, inferior version of the those who couldn't stop the dragons united!"
"Don't you dare listen to him." Reiji said.
"Yeah…. you don't seem to understand, Leo… now there's ten of us! The original angels and us!"
"And the same is said of the dragons!"
"What do you mean? The dragons have regained control of Yuya and the others?"
"Of course but the knowledge of the boys still exist within them… your friend Yuya is long gone but everything he knew about you, Odd-Eyes knows!"
"All of this makes me question, Leo…. how on earth do you expect to keep the dragons under control even if you do harness the full angel power?" Reiji asked.
"I'm not just going to make a new utopia, Reiji; I'm rewriting reality as it is. Which means none of you will exist and the new world will have the perfect enforcer under my control!"
"He really is insane…." Yuzu thought.
"Which is why we should've ended him last turn…."Warrior said.
"There was nothing more you could've done." Yuzu said back.
"There was nothing any of you can do!" Leo put his hand on his duel disk.
Turn 6
Yuzu/Reiji LP: 4800 Hand: 0 2
Leo LP: 1700 Hand: 0
"I draw! I play Pendulum Card Burst! I destroy two Pendulum Monster's on my field to draw two new cards! I destroy Wilhelm and Charlemange!"
"His own Fusion?" Reira questioned.
"Yes but it's a Pendulum-Fusion… it'll go to his extra deck.." Reiji replied.
"Normally it could go to my Pendulum Zone but both are full so my extra deck will have to do!" Both of Leo's cyborgs vanished as Leo drew two new cards.
"But since Charlemange is gone, our attack rises!" Reiji hit back.

"None of that matters as I'm returning Charlemange to the field! I also Pendulum Summon back Neos and Kinmei!" A gateway opened and all three fired back onto the field.

Both Monsters flew into the whirlpool and Leo smirked.
"Appear before me my almighty Monster! Celestial Tech Ultimate Ruler!" A bright beam shot down from the sky as a golden castle appeared. It was being circled around by small planets.

"No!" Reira yelled as Reiji and Yuzu both gritted their teeth.
"As if!" Reiji replied. "When you summon a Fusion Monster, D/D Dog can appear!" Forming before Reiji was a red-demon dog with a spiked collar around its neck and legs.

"This card allows me to stop your summoned Fusion Monster from attacking and its effects are negated!"
"But he just said his effects can't be negated?!" Reira said.
"Very good, Reiji." Leo complimented.
"Ultimate Ruler can't have its effects negated meaning it can still attack but… D/D Dog stops the attack without negating…. so it is stopped…." Yuzu worked it out.
"I play the Spell Emperor Guard! I tribute Kinmei to return a Fusion Monster from my graveyard with its effects negated but I can then increase its attack by +100 equal to one of your Monsters on the field during battle! Return Charlemange!"

"+100?" Yuzu questioned.
"Yes, I choose Warrior!"

"Which means you can destroy Aggressive?!"
"You're right! Charlemange, attack!" Charlemange fired a bright red beam from its eyes which sliched Aggressive in halve.
"Warrior!" Yuzu yelled as a high blast of wind fired as she was wiped out.

"When Aggressive is destroyed, Warrior can appear in her normal form!" Yuzu took the card from her deck and summoned it.

"I end there!"
"He has so many ways to take us out…." Warrior muttered.
"No wonder he didn't' mind going two V one…." Yuzu replied.
"I might not be able to hear your duel spirit, Yuzu but I guess she's not happy?" Reiji said.
"Correct."
"Well make sure she knows I'm ending it this turn. We have no other choice!"
Turn 7
Yuzu/Reiji LP: 4800 Hand: 0 1
Leo LP: 1700 Hand: 0
"Draw! And since Leonidas is still on our field, we take no damage from my Dark Contracts!"
"I play my Trap!" Leo roared. "Celestial Gate! For each Celestial on my field, I prevent a summoning method from you this turn!"
"Of course…"
"I prevent Fusion Summoning along with Xyz!"
"Imagine the so-called emperor of the Fusion Dimension stopping Fusion Summoning…." Warrior muttered.
"I always have a back up! I tribute High Tell to Special Summon D/D/D King Destiny Zero Laplace!" A large skeleton demon emerged.
D/D/D Destiny King Zero Laplace ATK: 0 DEF: 0 Dark/Fiend/Pendulum/LVL 10/Scale 1
"I can summon it by tributing a D/D/D."
"Amazing… even when your head is down… you find a way to lift it back up…." Leo noted.
"I attack! When Laplace attacks a Monster, its attack becomes double to what the Monster I'm attacking is! Ultimate Ruler is 5000…"
"Laplace is now 10,000!" Yuzu and Reira shouted.
Laplace ATK: 10,000
"End him!"
"Trap activate!" Leo hit back. "Celestial Counter! When I controlUltimate Ruler along with another Fusion Monster, I destroy all your Monsters except your weakest one and you take 1000 damage for each!"
"No!"
"Laplace, Warrior, Leonidas and Vice Typhoon are all gone!"
Golden beams fired out of the card and one by one each of the Monsters were destroyed. The shockwave from the blasts sent Yuzu and Reiji down to the ground as they took major damage.

"You said you had to end it this turn, Reiji….!" Leo mocked.
"I…."
"You end your turn? Good!
Turn 8
Yuzu/Reiji LP: 700 Hand: 0 1
Leo LP: 1700 Hand: 0
"Draw! Your Dog's effect is no more so Ultimate Ruler can attack!"
"Dammit..." muttered Warrior as Yuzu was still on the ground. "I don´t want that Ciel and her sisters die... Leo can´t be allowed to win... we still need to save Yuya and the others... it cannot end like this... please!"
Warrior closed her eyes; she could barely hear the sound of the angels.
"Ultimate Ruler, direct attack!"
As Ultimate Ruler launched the attack, a blinding white light fired from Yuzu's deck which flowed into Reira.
"Now what?!" Leo yelled. Reira opened her eyes and they were lit up in light blue.
"This is our chance." she said in a strange voice. She rose her hand and bright white light blinded the room which caused even Leo to shield his eyes.
"Don't tell me?!"
As the light faded Yuzu, Reiji and Reira had disappeared along with the duel field.
"They…. ran off?! How?! I have the angels?!"

Yuzu opened her eyes and was surprised to find herself on a grassy field. Looking up, her eyes lit up in surprise.
Hovering in front of her was the spirit of a woman with hip-length long blonde hair and blue eyes, dressed in a long sleeved yellow top which leaves the shoulders bar, a long white skirt and long white boots. She has a pair of yellow butterfly wings.
"Who… what is this?" she asked. Behind Reiji and Reira had also come to. "Are you an angel?"
Yes. My name is Esperanza... and I´m the mother of Ciel, Maria, Fiona, Elisa and Linette."
