IT'S CHANGED (SNILY)
CHAPTER 27 He helped?!

"Severus!"

He turned around to see that Potter was panting, his hands on his knees and he looked well… coming through a marathon.

"Yes, Potter?"

James came closer and spoke in a hushed voice. "Is what Sirius saying true?"

Severus looked around. "I am a competitor to you, Potter, would you believe me?"

James rolled his eyes. "I will" he stated confidently.

Severus eyed him incredulously. "Well, then, yes, he was saying the truth"

"What?" James shrieked. "I was hoping it to be a joke just like the other ones he's been cracking to scare me"

"I saw them myself, Potter, the dragons are real and we'll have to face them. Get past them, probably, or something like that" he shrugged.

"And you look so chilled out about the entire thing"

Severus gave a mock-evil laugh. "You never know, Potter. Slytherins are good at concealing"

James rolled his eyes. "Well, thank you for telling me. I have to learn things to get past it. And mentally prepare myself"

"Yes, I have a class too… after a little later"

"Boys!" a soft but disappointed voice spoke. They both turned their heads to see Professor Raquel's face and tried to suppress a squeak.

"Professor…" they exclaimed.

"Mr. Potter, I believe you have a class in a few minutes, please leave for it" Raquel motioned James to leave, who did after giving Severus an apologetic glance. "Mr. Snape, you will be coming with me for now"

Severus swallowed and followed him to his office, that looked oddly normal.

Once they were settled, Raquel started speaking once more. He had his fingers interlocked on the table and his eyes shone with disappointment. "You went to check what the first task is?"

Severus looked down in his lap, searching for an answer. "I-I, sir, didn't know that-"

"So, you accidentally found out that the first task is with the dragons" it wasn't a question.

Severus nodded. He had already started to feel suffocated and out of breath. His forehead had started beading sweat.

"And you told that to Mr. Potter" Raquel narrowed his eyes.

"I…" he thought about giving Black away but he didn't feel like doing it. "I did, sir"

Raquel smiled. "I see, you have the first quality of being a champion. Fair play"

Severus swallowed hard. He had not done any such thing and, that is why, he didn't even deserve to be called a champion. But who cared about, what Raquel believed.

"I can only hope you get past the dragons well, Severus"

Severus. The usage of first name. The manipulation starts here. "Thank you, sir" he was ready to get up and leave but this certainly wasn't the time.

"So, what have you thought to be doing?" Raquel asked casually.

"Uh… I don't know, sir. I'll have to research some"

Raquel laughed. "You know what we are, Severus?"

"We? Sir?"

"Oh… I forgot to tell that I am a Slytherin too" he winked.

Severus sucked in breath, that was being difficult to do because of his sudden congested nose. Slytherin. He'll have greater and more well-made plans to kill Severus than he had initially thought. He'll have to be more vigilant.

"I don't get it, sir" he was confused, though. What was he trying to prove?

Raquel shook his head, smiling. "A quality of a Slytherin is resourcefulness. We can create masterpieces from just what is available in our plates"

"So, sir, you simply mean to say that the answer is very simple and in front of me" Severus frowned.

"Very well, Severus" Raquel inclined his head in approval. "You got the point just have to work on the implementations"

"Thank you, sir"

"You may leave to get to your next class" Raquel dismissed him. "And good luck for the first task"

"Thank you, sir" he said automatically and left. The fresh air felt so good on his body and in his lungs.

But the fact that Raquel tried to help him was suspicious. He is a Slytherin, he reminded himself. He obviously would have elaborated and complicated plans that wouldn't remain bounded to someone's comprehension.

*Page Break*

He was sitting in the Great Hall, hiding his face once more. He had been doing it since the day that wretched newspaper had been published.

The letters that dropped on his head every morning, causing the floods of pity and nonsensical admiration from all of those unknown people made him nauseous every time. Even the students of Hogwarts knew now, about his home life and that was damn embarrassing.

His friends had told him that it wasn't that explicit but that is when, someone shoved the paper in his face asking if his father was actually a drunk. The pity in the first-year boy's eyes were so immense that Severus would have drowned in it. He had shot a deathly glare at the little boy, but in turn the foolish boy's eyes filled with tears and he had given him a pat on the hand and ran away.

He still remembered those parts of the article in his mind so clearly that one would doubt if he had mugged all it up, purposefully. He sighed in irritation, remembering it.

Your good wishes will help young Severus come out of the trauma of his father's torture and nightly tears. Though, the boy is determined to prove himself capable of being a powerful and strong wizard, himself. His soft heart broke every time his drunk muggle father had raised a hand against him. His beautiful mother who comes from the noble and ancient house of the Prince's, always stood by his side. Though, both are no more, now, they will always affect his memories. We all give our deepest condolences for the passing of his mother.

His friends who love him has supported him with his decision of entering the Triwizard Tournament. They see him winning the cup, which will hopefully be true. We all together must support the struggles of a young boy against the bounds of the society, the tortures he has felt in such a young age and him presently grieving.

"Severus?"

Severus turned his head to find another first-year Hufflepuff girl, looking at him with… not pity at least. He raised an eyebrow and she smiled and kept a hand on his. He was about to jerk it back but then let it be.

"Well…?" he asked.

She kept smiling. "I hope you win" she whispered.

He wanted to groan. He had not put his name in the Goblet of Fire, but this girl thought otherwise and now, was also giving him her good wishes.

"Umm… thank you" he gave in reluctantly.

Another voice came from the back of the girl. "Aww… Snape, crying over his father's tortures at night"

Another Gryffindor. Severus sighed, but something blazed in the girl's eyes. She flipped back sharply and threw a curse on the Gryffindor.

The eyes widened of the others, watching.

Disgusting bogeys were flying out of the Gryffindor's nose. The Bat Boogey Hex. So efficient. The girl hissed then. "He is way stronger than you are" she turned to Severus, whose eyes were as wide as saucers, and smiled, kissing his cheek. "Cleared a little dirt" she winked.

"You-You are brilliant" he breathed.

She laughed. "I know" she winked again. "Bye"

He just stared until she disappeared from the view. "She was a Hufflepuff" he pronounced.

"Well, yes, Sev" Lily kept a shocking hand on his shoulder.

He cleared his throat and looked at her. "Never underestimate them"

She nodded solemnly. "So true"

The turned to the others, where Austin was grinning just too much.

"Oh… yeah, I almost forgot, we know a very cool Hufflepuff too" Lily winked in Austin's direction who just shrugged.

"Who also sneaks to the second-floor with his Gryffindor girlfriend" Shane muttered.

Austin blushed. "You cannot just keep that on your head, still, Shane"

"Oh, but I can-"

"Shane! Austin!" Selene roared. "We have work to do here"

"Exactly" Charm stood beside her. "Here, Severus is going to fight the dragons and we haven't searched for anything"

"Instead, we are discussing about Austin sneaking up with his girlfriend! Seriously, Shane?!" Selene gave him an annoyed look.

"And also, a Hufflepuff girl kissing Severus and he not objecting" Shane said casually, not bending down to Selene's wrath.

Lily knew she was being insecure for nothing but she was just getting and she couldn't help it. Severus actually did not object. But then she was just a firstie, just a sisterly little blow. She sighed. She was worrying for nothing.

"It wasn't a kiss, Shane" Severus answered half-bored. "Just a little brush"

"Uh huh" Shane winked.

"Back to the topic!" Selene glowered at all of them. "Now, Severus, if you die in front of that dragon, don't come crying to me"

Severus rolled his eyes. "If I die, how am I going to come to you?"

Selene gave him a murderous glare. "Severus. I. Am. Serious" she hissed.

Severus gulped. "Sorry"

Shane laughed. "So, Selene is actually scaring you"

Selene' gaze turned to him and she smiled menacingly. "We. Are Not. Meeting. As. Planned. Singh"

Shane's laugh disappeared instantly while the others laughed.

"HAHA… Shane, scared?" Severus mocked.

Selene sat back in her chair, tired, almost looking in tears. "Fine, we are not doing anything to get past the dragons and Severus can very well, die in the trap" she sniffled.

Their faces turned to her. "Selene, Selene" Severus said urgently. Damn, they hadn't been that irritating. "Sorry for the stupidity, but I already have a plan"

Shane looked pale. "Selene…"

"Don't speak with me" Selene turned to Severus before giving Shane a hurt look. "And what's the plan?"

"A brilliant plan" Severus moved his hands in the air.

Selene narrowed her eyes. "I don't trust you"

Severus gave a mock-offended look. "It is a cool, elaborate plan"

"Don't tell me that is sneaked up from the other champions"

"Selene! No! Absolutely not. I have my own brain" he whined.

"Is it a Slytherin one?"

"Yes"

"Then start on…"

Severus huffed. "So, I will be…" he began.

*Page Break*

A new trend had come out in the school. Teams were divided, between people who supported Severus and the people who supported James. That just made their friends roll their eyes because it was something more than ridiculous.

They in James support were actually wearing badges of…

JAMES POTTER IS THE REAL HOGWARTS CHAMPION

… that also changed, after tapping its surface thrice, into…

SNAPE HAS GREASY LOCKS

That wasn't even true now, because Severus' hair looked just fine now, without the grease. And well, there were people in his support too who wore the already designed…

MUST SAVE YOUR OWN NECK

… that changed, after tapping it once, into…

SEVERUS ROCKS

People found it very disbelieving that, Sirius was the creator of these badges, while he wore both of them on the front of his robes.

"Izn't it amazing!" Lea exclaimed, making his SEVERUS ROCKS badge shine on her chest pocket.

Regulus showed his breast pocket too, where he had worn the same badge. "I believe it is"

Severus rolled his eyes. "Stupid kids"

The other two just ignored him.

*Page Break*

Just one night before the first task and the anxiety bubbling up in him was nauseous. Would he be able to do as he had planned? Or he would just make a fool of himself? He groaned while walking back to his dormitory from the library. His friends believed fully well in his idea but still he had doubts. He sighed.

The corridor was empty and his footsteps rang the place. He sighed again. The next day would be even more anxious, he knew it. But what he didn't expect was a hand would pull him in an empty dark classroom.

His breath froze. Did Raquel change his plan to kill him a day prior than what he had initially thought of? The next thing that came to his mind was his wand. He fiddled in his robes, clumsily, but before he could reach for his wand, two hands jerked his hands forcefully upwards, away from his wand.

"W-Who are y-you?" he asked, trying not to seem frightened.

The person whoever was holding his hands so tightly that it would have left nasty bruises, laughed. A vicious laugh, that send shivers to his spine.

"Poor, pretty Severus is scared, isn't he?" a mocking woman voice.

He tried to pull his hands back again and move his legs but all of them seemed to have stuck in the place. He couldn't move any. His breath fastened.

"L-Leave me alone. W-Who are you?" he tried to converse again.

She laughed a vicious laugh once more. She was too close to him; he could feel her breath on his neck. Her hand trailed on his chest and his breath hitched, terrifyingly.

"You know me already, don't you?"

"I don't know y-you. Leave me alone" he said more forcefully.

She tutted and snaked a hand behind his neck, causing a tiny whimper escape his lips. "No, no. Don't cry, Severus. I'll not do anything wrong with you" she brought her moth very close to his neck and licked it.

Severus whimpered once more. He tried desperately to move. He didn't like it. At all. "Please… ARGHH"

She had bit him. Hard. He could feel the blood trickling down his neck, soaking in his collar.

"Shush… Severus, it wasn't that hard now"

"Why are you…?" he managed through his thick petrified throat.

"Why?" she said in a mock-thoughtful voice. "Because you are crossing your limits, aren't you?"

"I don't even know you" he whimpered again and she grabbed his jaw. He couldn't do anything. His body was frozen.

"A Half-blood trying to do things that doesn't belong to their filthy race" she said ignoring him.

Now, he knew who she was. And his mind was a mess after realizing. Tvora Rebecca.

"I didn't put my name in the Goblet. Please" he started desperately. He wanted to get out of this dark place. It was suffocating.

Tvora hummed. "I know how true your word is" she mocked and ran a hand to his crotch from above his trousers.

He froze. "Don't do that… p-please, please… l-let me go" he pleaded.

She grabbed him firmly. He couldn't even jerk himself back. "You know where you belong, don't you? In my service. Understood?" she hissed.

He nodded vigorously. "Please leave me"

"Sh Shh… don't, don't start with those pathetic tears, now" she released the hand from his neck, but the other one still had a firm hold.

"P-Please… please, let me g-go…" he pleaded until he felt out of breath.

She didn't reply this time. Her hand grabbed his jaw and she poured something in his throat. His eyes grew even wider. She can't be giving him the potion too. He couldn't stop her from getting it down his throat.

"Oh… just a few drops, not as many as I got down dear Shane's throat" her voice showed no mercy. Her hands took hold of his waistband and he yelped with fright.

"NO! Please, no! Leave me alone…" he cried. He had never felt so helpless, so vulnerable.

"Well… wouldn't you like a little pleasure? Hmm?" she asked in a sickly-sweet voice.

"What have I done to you? Please, let me go…" frightened tears escaped his eyes. He didn't want to be in this position again. Not again.

"Oh, shh… Severus, those tears would ruin the fun" her hands grabbed his hips from the back and it hurt like hell. He screamed. It felt like white-hot needles were piercing his skin.

He tried to move away from her grasp but no use. He was fixed at the place. Not even a single limb budged but all his muscles contracted. He cried again. He couldn't even imagine what Shane would have felt. He didn't want to. This was too much for him.

"Please let me go" he was sobbing now.

"Oh, not so soon" her hand snaked down to his front from under his clothes.

He cried. "NO! Don't touch me… AAAAA… It's hurting… Please…"

Tvora came closer and licked his tear-stained cheeks. "I like it when you cry like this… so much…" she grabbed him even tighter. He screamed.

He banged his head back on the wall. Trying to do anything for the pain that he felt. He wanted to die.

"Scream more… Severus… you know how lovely you look when you are so, vulnerable… can we take this to another level?" she made a mock-thoughtful noise. "I believe yes"

"No… please, let me go… what have I done to you…?" he wept.

"Shh…" she took her hands out of his pants and pulled them down.

"NO! NO! No… don't do anything with me… I beg you… please…" he kept on pleading, though he knew it was making no effect on her.

"Ah… here you are… haven't I aroused you already or you just can't get aroused? Hmm?" she grabbed him tightly again, causing him to scream.

"STOP! Stop please…" he sobbed. "Stop…" his voice changed to a whisper. No energy was left in him now.

"Very well" she said in mock-sweetness and pulled his pants up. "Just one more hour and the effects of the potion will be over, until then bear with it, dear Severus"

She loosened her hold on him and every support that was holding Severus' body up left him. He fell on the ground with a thud and his entire body screamed with pain. He yelled, but no one was there to hear him.

The voice met his ears again. "You are not in the mood today, I see. We'll continue this some other day, I promise"

Severus tried to be as silent as he could, but the pain didn't let him. The last thing he heard was the opening and closing of the door before blackening out.

*Page Break*

His eyes cracked open but he instantly closed them back again. The light in the room was piercing them. Wait! Light? In the dungeons?

He opened his eyes again, slowly and his mind started taking more things from the surroundings, then. He wasn't on his mattress. He was on the hard floor? Why? He was in a classroom, surrounded by benches? Why? He sat up straight on the floor.

Then the memories came to him with a blow, that he felt dizzy. His breath quickened with the remembrance of each and every moment. He didn't want to remember any of that. He hoped to forget all of that. His hands grabbed his hair in a strong grip and he desperately tried to calm his breath.

His body wasn't paining now, but his head and senses, certainly were. He had to distract himself from whatever happened last night. Something. Anything. Lily. His hold on his hair loosened, he closed his eyes and threw his head back, to rest on the wall. He took deep breaths, searching through his happy memories of him and Lily and his friends. Kind people.

They helped him with everything. They pictured them as what they would be doing at the moment. It seemed almost like noon.

Austin would be sitting on the Hufflepuff table, eating food and separating peas from the potatoes. Severus gave a silent chuckle. He also must be gawking through people at Marlene and when someone would mention it, he would blush his head off. They had been together for a long time but were still shy about it.

Shane must be winking at Selene who would be glaring at him, from their tables. Severus shook his head. They made a fine couple. But that doesn't cancel out the fact that both of them were damn insane.

Lily would be stabbing in her food, pretending to seem hungry. Looking as beautiful as always. Only if she knew how much he loved her. He smiled sadly. That day wouldn't ever come, perhaps.

Charm. Severus just laughed at the thought. She must be making rude noises in her throat, that seemed kind of forced these days. Elias had finally, stopped telling her, his stories and started actually talking to her about normal things. Severus found him a little less irritating when he didn't try to look so pricey.

Elias Amedee. He sighed. He jerked his head up, suddenly. That triggered something. What? He was a champion of the Triwizard Tournament.

AND TODAY WAS THE FIRST TASK.

DAMN. He had to get there. What was the actual time? He scrambled to his feet as soon as possible and ran out of the classroom.

*Page Break*

They all met in the Entrance Hall. All of them looking panicked.

"Did you find him?" Remus panted, who just came running from the seventh-floor.

"No, I didn't, either" Selene shook her head, looking too worried.

Shane came, running his hands through his brown hair in worry. "He isn't there. Did you find him? No. Then where the fuck is he?"

Sirius came from the outer grounds. His stopped with his hands on his knees. "He isn't at least trying to escape the first task"

"Obviously, not…" Charm pronounced, through her deep breaths. "But he isn't hiding, either, because he is nowhere in the dungeons"

"Not in the library or anywhere on that floor" Austin supplied, who came racing from that direction.

"Where's Lily?" Shane asked, looking around.

Lily came into view, just then, Severus on her side, who looked as if he had died in the time being. His hair was shabby and his clothes askew. His face was as pale as chalk, though his eyes were dark and held tired dark circles around them.

"Where were you?!" Selene shrieked and the others flinched. Trust her to get the matters fiery just in the start.

"He can explain without you, shrieking like a banshee, Selene" Shane tried to calm her.

She crossed her hands and looked away from him and gestured him to speak. They were still fighting over a trivial issue.

Severus looked at all of their faces that looked relaxed by his arrival but still held a certain amount of worry. He sighed and turned to Shane, whose eyes instantly widened.

"No! Don't tell me, Severus, that… No, it didn't happen… Severus…" Shane grabbed him gently by his shoulders.

The others who didn't have any idea, searched for Lily's face for answers. She shrugged. "I found him coming out of an empty classroom… I have no idea what happened and he won't say a word" her own face was creased with the anticipation of the worst.

"It wasn't Raquel, was it?" Sirius narrowed his eyes.

Severus shook his head and looked down. "Tvora" he whispered while the others gasped.

Shane hugged him, instantly. "Severus, I am sorry" he whispered in his ears.

Severus pulled apart and smiled, sadly. "Don't be. A filthy half-blood deserved it, perhaps"

"Don't say that!" Charm's eyes blazed with rage.

"How dare she!" Selene hissed. "Now, if I don't murder her-"

"Selene!" Severus cut her. "You can't be serious"

"Do I look like, I am not serious, Severus" she hissed, sending shivers to others spines.

"Selene. I know, you are angry, but we can report her" Severus reasoned.

"Anger doesn't even start of describe what I am feeling-"

"Selene, Selene, wait" Lily cut her this time, then she turned to Severus. "What, happened, exactly?" she whispered.

Severus shook his head. "She didn't get me till there. She just gave me the potion-"

"She gave you the potion!?" Austin blazed up.

"Austin, Austin, listen. It wasn't that bad, really" Severus tried to sooth him.

"Severus, please don't tell me it wasn't bad" Shane's eyes shone with pain. "You can't at least lie to me"

"She just got some drops in my mouth, not as many as yours" he shook his head.

"Would someone tell us what's happening?" Sirius prompted, while Remus grabbed his hand, who seemed aware of the fact that something was wrong.

Shane turned to them and chuckled. "Just that stay away from Tvora Rebecca, especially you, Remus. She would do the worst thing to you that one could imagine"

"What will she do to Remus?" Sirius jumped and tightened his hold on Remus, who in turn rolled his eyes. "She doesn't even know him"

"She doesn't know me, either, Black" Severus told.

"The entire school knows you, Severus. Though, getting such serious grudges, to make you look like that, is out of my comprehension"

Severus nodded. "If insane is a word big enough, then she is that"

"She assaulted you, Severus and gave you an illegal potion and you still think she must only be reported?" Lily shrieked.

Severus kept a hand on her cheek but then instantly pulled it away. "Lily, Lily, she's here just for this year and then she'll be gone. It doesn't matter then"

She faced him fully and kept a hand on his cheek, that still marked the traces of tears, though she didn't mention it. "Would you have said the same thing if something like that would have happened to me?"

Severus eyes grew larger. "Lily that's different-"

"Because I am a girl and you are a boy" she narrowed her eyes.

Severus looked down, not able to find a counter.

"Not getting an answer, Severus?" Lily lifted his chin up.

"I- Lily… perhaps"

Lily shook her head. "The trauma on the mind is the same, Severus, then why would you classify them as different?"

"I shouldn't… I understand" Severus conceded. "Then we just need another plan"

Sirius came forward first dragging Remus with himself. "We are in"

Lily laughed and smacked Severus' cheek lightly. "And you are not filthy"

"Umm… Lily, if we talk about now, I am" Severus winked.

Lily gave him a smug look and took her wand out. "Scorgify" she muttered and Severus' robes and his almost dead looking face, cleaned. He was grateful that the bitten mark on his neck was concealed. He didn't want them to worry anymore.

"Smart, aren't you?" Severus laughed.

"What are you all doing here?!" Peter came running to them. "All the champions are needed there"

"Oh… yes, Severus, the first task" they all prompted.

Severus sighed. "May I use the bathroom first? Lily's Scorgify doesn't clean you internally"

Lily flushed. "Yeah… go and then come fast… there's a tent out there, where you'll have to come" she hesitantly stood on the tip-toes and kissed his cheek. "Good luck for the task, I know you can do it"

Severus hid a smile and nodded.

The others gave their 'good lucks' to him too before they parted ways.

Hope you enjoyed the chapters.

Please so comment to let me know how you felt.
