Hey everyone, Wolf here. Sorry I haven't uploaded in a while, I've been busy with school, as has WildMan98, who I'm collabing with on this. All rights go to Rick Riordan and Bungie, except for my OCs. Anyway, on with the chapter.

Percy POV

"This is the place?"

"Yes, Guardian, this is the place."

"I have a bad feeling about this." I said, looking down at the target uneasily.

"Oh, come on Guardian, how bad can it be?" said my Ghost, from behind me.

"With my luck, very bad."

We were standing on the edge of a cliff that was overlooking a bunker. Well, I was standing. He was hovering and looking over my shoulder. While there was no ship here, there was a cache of weapons, and I needed weapons. Despite having a sword and a bow with infinite arrows (No idea how my weapons got resurrected with me), my Ghost was insistent that I get another ranged weapon.

Unfortunately, the bunker looked old and run down, as if the slightest wind would knock the whole thing down. It was probably left over from what my Ghost called the "Golden Age" when the Traveler first arrived.

To make matters worse, my Ghost couldn't scan its interior for traps or life forms, which means that I could be running into a trap.

Who am I kidding? It was definitely a trap.

I used the moisture in the air to float myself down the cliff, onto one of the roofs, not making a sound. When I got down there, I heard a commotion, and what sounded like gunshots. I slowly made my way over to the edge of the roof, bow at the ready.

I saw 2 people, one dressed in armor, and one dressed in robes. They were pinned down, and facing almost impossible odds. They were pretty much surrounded by large warriors in red armor, outnumbered a hundred to one. They seemed to be holding their own, but they were slowly getting backed into a corner, with nowhere to run.

"The Cabal," my Ghost said, "A race that loves war and bloodshed. They are at constant war with each other, fighting for control of countless systems. They will stop at nothing to conquer everything. They would gladly massacre other Cabal if it meant another world under their control. The Guardians down there won't be able to hold out for much longer, we need to help them."

I sighed. Just what I didn't want, another battle. But, I couldn't leave these people here to die, my Ghost was right. These people didn't stand much of a chance, I had to help them.

I silently drew my bow, Lunar, pulling back the drawstring, which caused an arrow to appear. But, this was no ordinary arrow. No, this arrow hit with the force of a Mack truck going 120 miles per hour, fully loaded down. Plus, it unleashed a small explosion, destroying or knocking back anything within 3 meters of where the arrow hit. I lined up my shot, and released the arrow.

Ellie POV

Dash and I were pinned down, facing an army of Cabal. We were running short on ammo, and things were looking grim.

Dash threw a Solar Grenade into the ranks of the Cabal, taking out probably ten to 15 of them, but others just took their place. This was how it went. We would kill some of them, then more would appear. I heard my Auto Rifle click, meaning I had run out of ammo.

"Dash, I'm out, what do you have left?" I asked the other member of my fireteam.

"I've got 30 more shots in my Scout Rifle, and 15 more in my Hand Cannon. My Machine Gun's completely out." he replied, throwing another grenade.

"Well, we better start praying for a miracle, otherwise we won't be making it out of here alive." I said.

"Well, my Well of Radiance is still recharging, as is my rift-" Dash was cut off by an explosion in the ranks of the Cabal. By my calculations, it had killed at least 50, including 5 Incendiors.

Then another explosion went off, then another, and another. After 5 or 6 explosions, the Cabal had suffered severe casualties, at least 225 dead. Then, I saw a figure jump off of the roof above us, landing in between the Cabal and ourselves.

The figure, who I presumed was male, due to his height and build, was wearing Greek style armor, like what the spartans wore, but it looked extremely lightweight, like it weighed nothing. It was painted black and white, with a wolf depicted on the chestplate and shoulders. Then, he drew a majestic blade off of his back. Its design shocked me. It was a Greek Xiphos! None had been seen in hundreds of years. The figure took a stance, staring at the Cabal in front of him.

For a moment, nobody moved or spoke. Then, as suddenly as the explosions, the figure rushed towards the Cabal, moving quickly, but gracefully. He was dodging bullets, deflecting some off of his blade. When he reached the Cabal, it was a bloodbath. Heads and limbs were severed from bodies, the figure at the center of it. He was a whirlwind of death, obliterating the Cabal. None of them could land a hit on him, few even got the chance.

After forcing them to retreat for the time being, he rushed over to Dash and myself, making sure we were alright.

"Yes, we're alright, but we wouldn't have been if you hadn't shown up when you did. And your sword, I have never seen a Xiphos in my life, and I've been alive for-"The new guy cut me off.

"No time to chit chat, we need to find you both some ammo, and I need some ranged weapons." he said, "The name's Percy by the way."

I was about to reply before he ran off, motioning for us to follow. I heard him saying something about "Scanning for a munitions bunker" and I heard a robotic voice reply, most likely his Ghost.

He suddenly changed directions, Dash and I scrambling to follow him, as he was moving extremely fast. This guy had the speed of a Cheetah, but the endurance of a Wolf.

Percy finally stopped in front of what looked like an ordinary bunker that looked just as run down as the rest. He pulled out what seemed to be a pen, and I heard a click. Quicker than I could blink, he was holding the same sword as before. He cleanly chopped the door off its frame, and we entered the bunker.

The place was full of ammo and explosives. There was C4, hand grenades, smoke bombs, tripmines, etc. I ran to the ammo rack and grabbed as much ammo as I could, giving some to Dash as well. We both reloaded our guns, making sure we were prepared. Dash also spotted a table with a bunch of modifications for firearms, so we grabbed extended mags, better scopes, and some other stuff.

I looked around for Percy, and saw him examining a rifle. It was an old bolt action rifle, with an iron sight. He picked it up, grabbed some ammo, and loaded it. He also grabbed an old revolver and a holster, strapping it to his waist. I guess he preferred old style weapons. Something else caught his eye. A hunting knife, with a foot long blade, made with silver. He looked at it and smiled, like he was remembering an old memory. He strapped the sheath to his thigh, putting the blade in it.

"Alright, we need to find a good position, preferably one with good cover. I saw an area not far from here, it has good cover, and it's impossible to sneak up on." I said.

"Sounds good, it should be nightfall soon, that's when they'll strike." Percy said, and the look in his eye told me he had experience with this stuff. I don't know what he went through, but it must have been some serious shit.

We walked out of the munitions bunker, and made it about 5 steps before Percy suddenly drew his rifle, "Get down!" he yelled, before a shot rang out. A bullet hit the wall right above my head, and it would have blown my head clean off if I hadn't ducked. Percy quickly aimed and fired a shot at a nearby tower, where a Psion was standing with a rifle. The Psion's limp body fell to the ground, its head smoking.

"We must be careful, there are other snipers, they don't have a shot though. Stay low, and always be close to a wall." Percy said, motioning for me to lead the way.

After a short walk, having taken out all of the snipers, we arrived at the spot I had mentioned. It was an open area, with sandbags for cover. There were rusted bullet holes in the ground, like a battle happened here a long time ago.

We posted up, with Dash and I on the ground, behind a wall of sandbags. Percy was up in a nearby watchtower, cleaning his rifle. Dash and I made sure our weapons were loaded, and then prepared ourselves for the battle ahead.

Linebreak

Finally, the sun set over the horizon. All was silent, not a sound could be heard. Then, out of nowhere, a shot was fired. It hit the sandbags, and signaled that the battle had begun. More shots were fired, and the Cabal emerged around the corner.

Dash and I started firing, him with his scout rifle, and me with my auto rifle. The Cabal kept advancing, moving towards us. Finally, they were close enough, "Now Percy!" I yelled into my comms. A large explosion rocked the area, taking out around a quarter of the Cabal.

Bullets started raining down on the Cabal, Incendiary rounds from Percy's rifle. Each shot took down 2 enemies, due to the rounds being modified with more powerful explosives. I saw a grenade fall into the middle of the Cabal ranks, and I saw Cabal go flying. By this point, over half of their ranks had fallen.

I fired my rocket launcher at some Phalanxes, killing them and some legionaries. I saw a pack of War Beasts rushing towards us, and we wouldn't be able to kill all of them before they reached us. I was shooting as many as I could, until I saw a blast of water hit them, followed by a bolt of lightning. I looked up to see Percy holding another rare weapon, a Trident.

"Quit staring and shoot them!" he yelled, startling me out of my shock.

There were around 50 Cabal left, 18 Legionaries, 12 Phalanxes, 12 Psions, and 8 War Beasts. Then, I heard thuds, like something large was walking towards us. Around the corner emerged the largest Cabal I had ever seen. It was a Colossus, 3 times as big as a normal Colossus, holding what looked like a modified Colossus Minigun.

"Oh shit." Dash said.

"Oh shit indeed." I agreed.

"Well, you know what they say. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. Let's topple this bitch. " Percy said, and I felt stronger, like my strength and endurance had been increased.

"You're right, we can do this. Percy, you go right. I'll go left. Dash, you'll provide ranged support." I said, receiving nods from both of them. Dash raised his scour rifle, and loaded a new mag into it, and I recognised that it was loaded with explosive rounds.

Percy drew a pen from his pocket, and uncapped it. A second later, he was holding a Trident, the same one as before. I scanned it, and saw an inscription on the handle in Greek, which I translated to "Tempest". I gave him a nod, receiving one in return.

Percy and I both rushed out, me firing my auto rifle, and Percy unleashing beams of water and lightning, while Dash started firing from cover. The Colossus didn't know who to fire at, so I guess he just decided to shoot all of us.

One of the bullets hit me in the shoulder,my weapon falling out of my hands. Then another shot hit me in the leg, dropping me to the ground. I heard Percy yell out, and I heard thunder, and it started raining.

I looked up and saw a hurricane surrounding Percy, who was battling the Colossus one on one. He was no longer holding his Trident, instead he was holding the Xiphos from earlier. The blade was literally glowing with power, and every stab and slash did more damage than the last. Finally, Percy raised his blade, and drove it through the Colossus' head, killing it.

The storm dissipated, leaving the ground soaking wet. Percy walked over to me and held out his hand. The water from the ground started to lift off the ground, floating towards me. I felt the water pulling out the bullets and healing my shoulder and leg. After about 5 minutes, I felt fine.

"What the hell was that?" I asked him.

"That was my birthright. My full name is Perseus Theseus Jackson, son of Sally Jackson, and the Greek god, Poseidon. I guess when my Ghost, Maelstrom, revived me, I kept my powers. Being a son of poseidon allows me to control water, and the earth to a degree, as Poseidon is the Earthshaker, or at least, he was." Percy said, holding out his hand.

I grabbed his hand, and he pulled me up with ease. I started to bow, but he quickly stopped me, "No, don't bow, I'm still a human, I'm not a god. And I hate it when people bow." he said.

I just nodded, and we made our way over to Dash, who was standing there shocked. Percy waved his hand in front of his face, knocking him out of his shock.

"Geez, I thought you were powerful, but that was on a whole other level. And hydrokinesis? You're special kid, I'm glad you're on our side." Dash said, shaking Percy's hand.

"Speaking of being on our side, Dash and I have been looking for a third fireteam member, our last one sacrificed himself to save us from the Hive on the moon. What do you say, Percy?" I asked him.

Percy stood there for a minute, thinking it over. After a minute or two, he said, " Sure, I'd love to."
