Hi,

The story is turning out to be a little longer than 10 chapters. Hope you are enjoying it so far.

Dear Guest,

Thanks for reviewing! I'm trying to find how to change the lay-out. I experienced this also with earlier chapters but decided to just upload. Hope it doesn't annoy you to much for the time being, I'm looking into it!

EDIT:

Dear Thespianpoet & maits18,

Thank you for your review and getting back to me on regards of my formatting problem. Much appreciated.

Harry apparated closely to the tree line of the small park opposite of Nr. 12 Grimmauld Place. He firmly concentrated on the image of all the streetlights adjourning the street and muttered a Nox. As the lights gently flickered before extinguishing completely, he tapped his watch. Within moments the team apparated behind him in a shape of a circle. Harry took a deep breath before briefly glancing backwards. Kingsley, Tonks, and Harry quietly observed the street hidden in the trees whilst Arthur, Bill and Charlie stood with their backs to the others as they observed the park. Preparing for any type of ambush at any given time. Charlie and Arthur turned to Bill. His eyes glinted dangerously as he stood stock-still applying his enhanced eyesight and hearing. Then Bill's head turned to Arthur first, shaking his head, then turning to Charlie to do the same. They joined the others to face the street. Tonks then tapped her watch to message Molly. Tonks kept her eyes on her watch before lifting her hand to signal for them to move. Harry took the lead and walked briskly crossed the darkened street before stopping in between Nr. 11 and Nr. 13. With a tap to the fence the building began to rumble and open up. From the depths within the bricks, his front steps and door appeared. He quickly took two steps at a time and got in position. Tonks and Bill took either side of the door beside him. As Harry keyed his wand to the magical lock, it moved to open on a crack. He returned to his defensive stance. From behind him Kingsley casted Homenum Revelio. It didn't reveal the presence of a wizard. This still meant nothing as they didn't know who they were dealing with, Remus or Moony. Harry nodded towards Tonks. With great force she kicked the door open. Harry advanced, his wand at the ready with Tonks and Bill on his tail.

The lights were turned off and the only light came from the stars in the night sky shone through the windows. As they made their way through the hallway in rap tempo Harry made is way straight to the kitchen. The doorway into the sitting room was on Tonks side. With agile movement she corrected her stance as she moved passed it. She signalled to Charlie that it seemed empty. Charlie followed her movements closely before entering the room, Arthur stepping in his trail. Harry, covered by Tonks and Bill, looked around the kitchen. They stepped carefully over Hermione's wand laying on the ground as the moved through the kitchen. Kingsley two steps behind the trio noticed the movement and the moment Bill moved past it he summoned it. He safely put it in the inner pocket of his robes. Kingsley cast a wandless Lumos. The kitchen lights sprang to life. The kitchen looked rather disrupted. The table and some of the chairs were pushed to the sides. Some of the chairs had fallen to their sides. As he explored the room, he found shards of a mug on the kitchen counter and most likely tea dripping from the cabinets. Charlie and Arthur walked in. "Ground floor secure, Minister."
"Thank you, Arthur." Kingsley spoke.
Sighing Harry joined them with Tonks right behind him. "First and second floor secure. His room was locked, but we got in. He didn't take anything, as far as we know." Harry said frustrated. "I'll send word." Tonks replied. She tapped her watch as she thought of the allocated code. The tone of her voice suggested the same frustrated sorrow as Harry's. Charlie strode over to her and put his arm around her shoulders. "We'll find him," He muttered against her cheek.

Bill made his way over to the team after finishing strengthening the wards on the house and blocking Remus' passage through every entrance point. "Wards are finished. It is safe to return home for you and Hermione." Bill said. "As far as Remus' whereabouts, his scent dictates that he was here last. My guess is that the Tracking Spell won't work as he Apparated out." Everyone just seemed to need a minute to digest the information.
Remus had always been a man of his word. Since his youth he has been dependable and trustworthy. In each and every life he affected; he plays a different role. Yet the realization that he had gone, without a word, and obviously did not want to be found had rattled them all.
"How about Avenseguim? If we took something of him, we could follow said object towards his location." Charlie proposed.
"I don't think it would work. That spell is rather intricate and technical. We established that he probably didn't forget anything that he had the actual intension on taking with him and there is no way to know if he's lost anything, he had on his person the moment he left. And things like hair are impossibly difficult to follow or trace." Tonks said. Another silence fell over the room, but it was disturbed as Tonks communicated the message she just received from Molly. "The others have been notified, Teddy's and my mother's status hasn't changed. Still home and safe." Tonks sighed relieved as she leaned back into Charlie.
"Can we say for certain that they could actually be in danger from Moony?" Arthur asked.
Tonks looked up at him thoughtfully. Bill answered instead. "I could be wrong, but I don't believe he'd ever hurt his cub. Your mother could be in danger if she withheld him from his son. But if my instincts are correct, he isn't after Teddy. It's not parental-oriented. Don't ask me how I know because I don't." Bill sighed as he combed his fingers through his long hair.
"Bill, wand to your head, what is he after?" Harry asked determined.
"Harry, mate, don't do this to me. I'm not a full wolf." Bill uttered. "But, wand to my head…," He stuck is nose up in the air sniffed around the kitchen. After walking a small circle around the kitchen, he stopped right in front of Kingsley, Arthur, and Harry. He softly spoke: "Desperate, fearful."
Tonks couldn't keep it in any longer and burst out in tears. Charlie quickly wrapped her up in his arms. Kingsley exchanged looks with Arthur before wordlessly communicating with Harry and Bill.
"Auror Tonks, incredible work tonight. Well done, now enough is enough. Go be with your family." It only made her break down further. Kingsley calmly motioned towards Charlie to get her out of there.

As they heard the Floo simmer down again Kingsley directed Harry to communicate to the war room that Tonks was no longer to be in contact for the time being. Kingsley grabbed a chair and sat down as he spelled the other furniture back to its place. Arthur and Bill followed his lead. "Status update on Remus?" Kingsley asked. Harry nodded and tapped his watch. He got immediate reply. "No change, Hidden and Hurt."
"Let's call it a night. He isn't In Mortal Danger. Let him hide, sooner or later he has to start leaving traces."
"Yes, Minister." Harry tapped his watch. "How do you propose we move forwards from here?" He inquired taking a seat next to Bill. The four men sat there looking at one another, contemplating the situation. It was Bill that spoke first: "I could try to trace him at the other places we'd expect him to go. I can try to convince Ragnok to give me the day off."
Kingsley mutely nodded at Bill's offer. "Thank you, Bill, I think we all appreciate the effort. If it's amendable to you, I'll make sure Griphook and Ragnok understand and see to it that you'll receive full pay and no remarks in your file." Bill nodded in thanks; Goblin's are precise beings. Any added days off or tardiness were to be noted in the employee's file. It could even lead to dock of pay or a label that would make him unable to receive promotion or pay raise in the future.
Kingsley then turned to Arthur and Harry. "As Ministry employees it is prudent, at least for now, to return to work. We cannot attract any attention. Bill will report straight to me and I will send note of when to meet after supper. "But, Minister-," Harry tried.
"No, Harry. I know you want to do more but we have no idea what is troubling Remus. We can't take any risks. We return to our day-to-day life. I'll make sure to make excuses for his absence."
"The Minister is right boys," Arthur added. "Best to be safe for now. We meet again tomorrow."

"Grimmauld secure." Molly said glancing up from the watch up to the clock. All team's status' all coloured a firm green, with the exception of George but that was no surprise to his mother.
"Remus?" Hermione shot up from her calculations. Molly shook her head. She busied herself with sending word to the other regiments.
"Where could he be!?" Hermione groaned. "The calculations on any location aren't giving me any clear numbers. He could be anywhere. And Teddy's location even gives the lowest likelihood. His status seems unmoved the whole night. It's just a deep umber. What does that even mean!"
"Come here, dear." Molly called to her. As Hermione didn't move, Molly spelled her chair to scoot closer. With a firm grip she took a hold of the younger woman. She softly rubbed her back. "I don't know what it exactly means, what I do know that he'll life. It has been a steady umber the moment I set the clock. The colour didn't falter a second. He is hidden, not lost. He is a smart man. He will return to his family. I'm sure of it." Molly shushed.
Hermione eyes watered. "I'm sorry, Molly. You've been wonderful and I've been just unloading on you all night long."
Molly was quick to wave her words away. "Pish posh, dear. I'm a mother of seven. I understand." Hermione just snivelled and hugged her back.
"Hermione, dear, I don't know what has led up to this evening, but I do know Remus. He will be fine, and the moment he wants to be found again he will resurface."
"What do you mean? Do you think was a waste of time?"
"Merlin no! I repeat, mother of seven. Certainly, most boys need to be forcefully pulled out of their moods now and again, as you well know. But what I am trying to say is that Remus is a grown man and a man with a lot of pride at that. Now, drink your tea."
Hermione softly shook her head but took a sip anyway. She did not want to mess with Molly.
Another ding from the watch shook them out of their moment. "Tonks' off duty until further notice."
Both women quickly checked her portrait, but she seemed to be doing okay. Now travelling beside Charlie neither colours had turned red of anything adjacent. Again, the watch beeped. "Their asking about Remus." Molly tapped the watch thinking the code for No Change.

As she sipped her tea, she observed Molly. She kept her eyes mostly locked on her clock. It reminded her of the stories the other Weasley's has told her about the time they were on the run. Molly had lived and breathed with that clock. At the moment she stoically returned to her duties and communicated Kingsley's orders back to the others.
"How do you do it?" Hermione kindly asked.
"What, dear?"
"Your diligence in these tasking situations."
"You don't raise Weasley's and not learn to adapt." Molly joked.
At Hermione's unwavering gaze Molly simply sighed and turned her eyes to the clock. "I am under no illusion that I tend to be rather controlling. With the war, Arthur's and Bill's injury, the loss of my Fred. My loved ones have grown, overcome, and achieved so much. All without my meddling. I just think I've taken a life lesson in keeping silent and to trust. I do not like it." Molly scoffed but then sighed again. "But they do, you do. All my babies just love to do things on their own, in their own ways. Arthur once sat me down and advised me to let it happen. He promised you'll all come back to me at some point or another. I am just sitting here watching the clocks, monitoring all of your status' and waiting for you to come back home as I've done since the day that Bill went off to Hogwarts."
Hermione thought about her words. Not entirely sure is she had meant the monitoring figuratively; she wouldn't put it passed the woman to be constantly checking in with her clocks. "Molly, your children are able, we are able to do it on our own because we've had outstanding examples in you and Arthur and in so many more. It is nothing against you, honestly, its actually in honour of you."
Molly looked up at her and seemed to ponder her words. "Thank you, dear."
"I promise to come back home more often. We'll all come back home and enjoy a good meal together."
Now Molly's eyes water up and a lone tear fell down her face. "I would love that."
"Their heading back." Molly informed Hermione softly. Molly quickly send word to all regiments to cease tonight activities and be on stand-by to receive the information for the next meeting.

"Very good, Auror Potter." Hermione smirked. "I am branching out."
"I am intrigued. I've missed rule-breaking Hermione."
"Yes, well. Necessity knows no law, as they say. Charlie is asking Tonks to retrieve Greyback's documents." Hermione watched Harry for his reaction.
He kept eying his sandwich and complimented her for her smart thinking before taking a large bite. For a while they simply ate their lunch. "Do you really think Remus' crazy corresponds with Greyback's crazy?"
