Caitlin got word on where Chester P. Runk was, so she went to visit him in the hospital with Patty and they saw he was sitting at a table in his room.
"Ward nurses say he's been catatonic since he arrived." Patty informed Caitlin. "Just involuntary muscle spasms."
Caitlin went over and saw Chester was staring down at his fingers. "Chester?" She took a seat next to him and looked for any signs he could hear her. "My names Caitlin Snow-Parker, I'm a doctor." She didn't get any type of visible response from Chester. "Chester?" That's when she looked down and saw his finger was tapping, and then looked to see a tv screen showing that the black hole has reappeared outside jitters. "Oh god."
"Ladies and gentlemen, I give you an inverse mass angular momentum disruptor, or the stellar grenade." Peter said as he held up what looked like a tiny naval mine.
"And this will destroy the black hole?" Miles asked as he took it and looked it over.
"As long as it doesn't continue to grow, this will reverse the hole's mass-collecting properties, causing it to implode. Throw it in the event horizon; and this whole thing will be a distant memory." Peter promised just when Caitlin walked back in.
"Yeah, we've got a problem with that plan." Caitlin warned them. "If we destroy the black hole, we'll destroy Chester."
"Wait, what?" Tina asked.
"You sure about that?" Peter asked as he took the grenade down.
"Yeah, the Corona's flare matched the exact cadence of Chester's fingers." Caitlin stated and walked over to the computers. "I think the two of them aren't connected, I think Chester is the black hole." She then pulled up the brain scans she got for Chester. "Here, normally stimuli enters the brain through the sensory area, goes up to the sensory area, goes up to the temporal lobe, and then back around, but watch Chester's brain." They watched as a lone flows through his beds but stops halfway through. "It starts, but after halfway through the rotation, it disappears."
"I be alive I might've discovered the other half, ma'am." Gideon said as she pulled up the footage of the black hole and shows the inside, where a flow of energy flows in a half circle before vanishing.
Linking the two of them together, they see that both halves of the circle link up.
"So half of Chester's brain is a black hole?" Miles asked.
"Let's be honest, we've been through weirder." Peter admitted, feeling like this is all becoming just too normal for them.
"Okay, so all we have to do is find a way to get his mind out of the black hole, reunite it with his body, and when his condition stabilizes, the black hole should just collapse." Barry recapped the plan.
"Right. But they didn't exactly teach us how to remove half a brain at med school." Tommy informed his uncle.
"Okay, but we can't let Chester die." Barry stated.
"Nobody's saying that. I think he's just saying we need to think of a way we can accomplish this, without risking the whole city." Peter stated.
"The electrical impulses that are making up Chester's mind are just past the black hole's threshold," Caitlin started coming up with a plan, "but since his synaptic energy has a negative charge-"
"I could use my Lightning's positive charge to attract his energy." Barry understood what she was saying.
"Okay, then how are you gonna survive in there?" Miles asked.
"The Speedforce should be able to protect you from being crushed into oblivion." Peter supposed.
"Even if you survived entry, how do we keep Chester's mind intact on the way out?" Tina wondered.
"P.A.R.K.E.R. Industries is working on superconducting wiring for a quantum computer." Peter informed her. "Swing on by, we should be able to use it to keep his mind in one piece."
"Okay, so what do we do?" Miles asked.
"I need you, Tommy, Dawn, Frost, and Tina to evacuate downtown." Peter told them.
"Where is Frost?" Miles wondered.
"Guys. We've got a problem." Frost said over the speakers. "The black hole had just opened up."
Downtown, people were running away in fear or the police making their way towards the black hole.
The Police Captain, Yuriko Watanabe, made her way over to the hole.
"Captain, you shouldn't be here." Patty said.
"This is my city, too. Get these people out of here." Yuri told her and walked over to the hole that was starting to pull people in.
But that was stopped when two strands of webbing grabbed him and pulled him over to reveal that it was Tommy.
"Run, dude." Tommy informed him as he did just that.
Suddenly a mailbox was ripped from the ground and was sent flying when it was blasted by a mist of ice and showed it came from Tina.
"A black hole consuming the city. I love this town." Tina stated with a grin.
Several cars then started to move and clear a pathway, shocking everyone when they looked up and saw Frankie floating down and using the cars to shield people from the force.
"Be honest. You missed me." Frankie told them with a smile. "Captain."
"Metalla." Yuriko greeted her. "Thanks, heroes."
"Always here to help, ma'am." Tommy stated with a smile under the mask before running to help others while Huri ran off from the hole to help her people.
"Where were you?" Miles asked Frankie.
Dawn then started to run up and down the street, moving everyone away from the pull so nobody was gonna be accidentally sucked in.
"Dad asked me to help with the next phase of the plan." Frankie answered as she started to hold everything due with her powers and push against the pull of the black hole.
"What's the next phase?" Miles asked when Peter came in swinging and shooting several giant webs connected to lamps to stop people getting sucked in, now wearing a new suit.
"When Barry goes in and gets the brain energy out of the hole, he needs somewhere to put it. So we decided to use the chamber we designed to summon and absorb energy from Max Dillon, AKA, the ex-villain Electro." Peter explained to them. "The structural integrity is strong enough to contain synaptic energy. And we had to move Chester into it."
This version of the Spider suit more closely resembles his Classic Suit, albeit with a more metallic shine to it. The suit also has a different chest insignia that sets it apart from the other variations on the classic look.
"Loving the new suit, dad." Frankie complimented.
"Thanks, made it in my spare time at the company." Peter said as Barry then came running down the street and towards the black hole.
They all watched as Barry started to circle the black hole across two separate buildings and building up the energy. As soon as he had the window, he ran in speeding through and entered it.
"How long until we know it works?" Frost asks.
"Seconds." Peter said as they watched and waited.
They saw the blackhole stopped growing, but there was no sign of Barry. Just when they thought they needed to do something, they saw a flash of lightning come out with a bubble surrounding him, that being the other half of Chester's brain.
Barry ran all the way to Star labs where they've moved the chamber and Barry placed the energy inside of it, allowing Chester to absorb it and the others watched as the black hole slowly closed.
"And that's farewell to the blackhole." Peter said in victory.
Back in Star labs, Barry walked over to Chester, expecting to see some improvement in his stability.
"Chester?" Barry asked. "Chester, can you hear me?"
Suddenly, Chester got an explosion of energy as he opened his eyes, revealing to be two giant horizons in his eyes. "What up party people!?" He then looked and noticed who Barry was as Dawn sped everyone back to Star labs. "Hey, you're the Flash. With the speeding around and the lighting and all that!" He then looked and saw the others. "Oh, god, and the whole Spider-Family! This is awesome!" He then looked around to where he was and fog confused. "Also, where am I?"
As that was all going down, back in National City, Anjelica was getting a scolding from her parents on top of a building as she sat with her arms crossed and Kara walking back and forth, and Peter was just watching and leaning on a flag pole.
"I mean, I can't believe this." Kara grew in anger as she wiped the imaginary sweat away. "You...I-I can't believe this." She then looked over to Peter. "I can't believe this."
"I can't believe you've been saying that for the past half hour." Peter commented with a raised brow that resolved with one of his lenses raising. "We get it, honey."
Kara looked annoyed at her husband but knew that was just getting him turned on. She has a weird husband. Taking her mind off that, she looked over to Anjelica. "What were you thinking? You've exposed yourself to the world, Angel. Everyone will know of your connection to us, between your name, your skills, the way you look like me, your costume, everyone will know and you can never take it back."
Anjelica looked shocked at hearing her words. "I-I don't want to take it back, Mom." She then got up and gestured to her suit. "This is what I want to do. I have these great powers, so I have a great responsibility to use them."
Kara then got annoyed at hearing that and turned back to Peter as if he had something to do with it. "Hey, don't look at me. I just told her the quote." He raised his hands in defends and backed away.
"There's a different way than to be dressing up and putting your life on the line." Kara stated.
"Mom, I've always had the need to help people." Anjelica stated as she walked over to the edge. "These powers just give me the chance to do more. To be greater."
"And what are you gonna do when they discover who you are under that mask?" Kara asked her. "Where you're from? You can't do anything like you just did ever again."
Anjelica looked extremely hurt that, out of all people, her mother didn't understand why she was doing this. Removing her goggles, she whipped away a few stray tears from her face.
"Fine. I'll...I'll meet you guys at home. I promised Roberta I'd meet up with her later for something." Anjelica whispered and sniffed. "Don't worry, I won't fly over there." She then walked off and dropped before swinging to an alley to change.
"Well, she's being true to her word." Peter shrugged, sorry about how Kara handled things with that.
"Why are you not more upset about this?" Kara asked as she turned to face her husband again.
"Why am I not angry at the fact my daughter is fighting criminals, saving lives, and doing basically what we trained her to do?" Peter asked as he walked over and gently placed his hands on her shoulder. "I know you're protective of Angel. Maybe a bit too protective at times, but she knows you want what's best for her. But if she wants to do this, you shouldn't be trying to stop her. You should be encouraging her. Remember when you started out?" He asked as he fixed an out of place strand of hair on her head. "Nobody wanted you to help, and you ended up going behind everyone's back. She has your strength and will, and my feelings of responsibility. She will end up doing the same thing we both did, go out on our own and get ourselves hurt if we don't help her ourselves."
He then walked off and dropped off the building himself, leaving Kara alone so that she could think about what he just sand, and then she looked back to where Angel was standing and was feeling disappointed in herself.
Back in Central City, the team were once again all over the news, getting praises for their team saving lives, and stopping the black hole.
"Chester is doing so much better." May commented as she returned to the cortex with a smile. "I mean, despite the scary dark energy eyes, he's in good spirits."
"How much longer does he need to stay in there?" Peter wondered.
"Five-six weeks." Caitlin shrugged from her computer across the room. "He needs to destabilize in the subatomic level, there's no rushing this."
"Well, he is more than happy to be here." Dawn commented. "I mean, this guy's energy makes Elmo look depressed by comparison."
"Speaking of energy, I need to actually inform the company I borrowed our Electro trapper." Peter stated as he started to leave. "I kinda took it worn out permission from the guys in the storage, so they're probably freaking out that it's missing. And we still need to figure out what happened to the arms, Electro gear, and Scorpion tail."
"Great. Wonder where those ended up." Tommy sighed.
"Ten bucks says we need to deal with them." Tina dared.
"I will not take that action." Tommy stated.
Aster had made his way home and saw everyone was out, considering nobody was home. So there was only one place they would be.
Sighing, he decided to go about his normal life, wishing he had some power, some ability like his siblings so he could help out.
He made his way to the bathroom where he used the facilities, washed his hands, and splashed his face before looking at himself in the mirror, where his eyes immediately started to glow white and he saw parts of his hair started to turn white.
"What?" Aster asked as he leaned in closer to the mirror.
"Boo!" The reflection suddenly came alive, causing aster to shriek and causing him to slip and fall backwards.
"No, it's not real. It's in my head." Aster muttered as he crawled back up and looked to see he was back to normal.
"Yes, that's where I've been trapped." The voice stated as Aster looked and saw his fingers were covered in frost. "But as the days go on, I grow stronger. It's only a matter of time until I get to control."
Aster crawled up and grabbed his pill off from the counter and quickly took it and chugged down the water. Looking down, now he sees the ice, the eyes, and hair were all back to normal.
"It's all in my head, he isn't real." Aster kept whispering to himself.
"Okay, okay. This is incredible! Winter-Spider, Velocity, and Spinneret have went up against a BLACK HOLE! A freakin' black hole! These three were there alongside the bigger heroes: Ultimate Spider-Man! Metalla! Spider-Man! Flash! And Crystal Frost! They went up against a black hole that's been appearing all over the city recently, first at P.A.R.K.E.R. Industries, then Jitters, and then the middle of the city! I don't know about you, but I'll feel safer knowing we're protected in a city where our heroes can stop a black hole. This is Danika Hart, signing off."
Peter laughed and rolled his eyes at this newest podcaster that has been making random appearances. Honestly, she's a nice change of pace from Jameson's negative attitude. He walked over and saw Caitlin was sitting down and watching the news.
"What's happening?" Peter asked as he came over and wrapped his arms around her chest and pecked her head.
"Apparently people are celebrating Halloween early, stealing the Black Cat suit from the Flash/Spider-Man museum, and those freaks are running around again, saving people from a black hole this time." Caitlin joked as she grabbed onto his hands and smiled. "The people seem to be accepting them more each day."
"Glad to know that my kids won't be hunted for being witches." Peter joked as he went to kiss his wife, and she in return going to do the same.
"In other news, a violent shootout in New York City has claimed the life of Vanessa Geraldine Carlysle." That named caused the two of them to pause and look back up to the screen and noticed that there was a reporter in New York showing the scene of the crime was blocked off by police.
"Isn't that..." Caitlin recognized the name.
"Wade's wife." Peter confirmed as he sighed and knew he recognized the name.
"You think you should go check on him?" Caitlin took a guess.
"It might be a good idea. I can take the jet out tomorrow." Peter supposed as he walked off and went to make the arrangements so he could leave. "I know Wade. He's gonna be doing something completely stupid."
"Come on, he's not gonna be doing anything too stupid." Caitlin defended, earning a look and raised brow from Peter. "You're right, I didn't think that through."
In New York, well, let's say Wade was indeed doing something stupid.
That stupidity being he's currently wearing a Hawaiian shirt drinking clog cleaner and dancing on top of a building before taking a dive off of it.
When he slammed into the ground, he obviously didn't die, but he quickly gained a crowd when he started to get back up.
"I can't believe he's still alive." A woman in a short light blue shirt stated in shock.
"I can't believe you left the house in that shirt!" Wade groaned as he tried to get back up and just slithered away.
Ashly Burch as Danika Hart
