Ralph and Caitlin were going to talk with the eye witness that spotted Allegra at the scene of the crime to see if they could get any new information.
"If CCPD already interviewed this guy, what do you think he'll change when we ask him to go over it again?" Ralph asked Caitlin.
"Eye witness statements aren't always perfect. Remember when Peter turned the tables on the Barry vs. Clifford Devoe case?" Caitlin reminded Ralph.
"That was Matt and me." Ralph reminded her of their takedown of Clifford.
Caitlin thought of it and realized that technically was true. "Okay, good point, but my point still stands. Plus, he was being pressured by cops, and there are many elements that could drastically change the brain processes memory. Environment factors, stress, even lineup photos could affect it."
Ralph was getting confused on how she knew all of this so well and had to ask. "How do you know all of this? You're a doctor-doctor not a psychosis."
"First off, that's incorrect." Caitlin informed him as they reached the door. "And also because I've helped Frankie with her teaching classes once in a while, and she took up psychiatry."
"Huh." Ralph commented, seeing that as plausible. Then they looked and noticed that the lock to the door had been scorched. "Uh-oh." He then reached in and pulled his suit out of his pocket again. "Good thing I always come prepared."
They then waited for him to quickly suit up and kicked in the door, looking around and spotted Allegra standing over the dead body of the witness.
"Allegra?" Caitlin took a guess, not really seen a photo of her as she stood off the ground.
"You're not going anywhere, okay?" Ralph said as he reached behind him to pick out the metahuman cuffs. "We just wanna talk for a second."
But then the moment he revealed the cuffs, Allegra raised her hands out to them and released a blast of something that hit Ralph right in the face, causing him to screech like a goat.
Allegra took this moment to run off, and Caitlin saw Ralph might need some more attention due to the fact his face is literally melting.
Allegra ran down the hall but only got so far when the Flash sped inside and placed the metahuman cuffs on her himself.
"You're not going anywhere." Barry promised her.
Back in National City, a bank robbery was just taking place as four armed men with comically oversized guns came in and screamed at everyone.
"Everyone down on the ground!" One of them wearing a wolf motorcycle mask demanded with a weapon raised.
Then someone came up and knocked on the door, getting their guy watching the door to turn around and get punched in the face by Super-Arachnid.
"Hey, sorry, I was on my way to make a deposit when I saw the screaming." Anjelica said jokingly as they aimed their weapons at her.
"What, Supergirl and Iron-Spider sent their little girl to cover for them?" One of them asked.
"Nah, they trust me enough to handle this on my own." Anjelica stated as she raised and cracked her knuckles. "So...who wants the beat down first?"
One of them aims the laser and shot at her, but she immediately dodged it and shot a strand of web at him. Outside, Kara and Peter were watching as Anjelica shot a web up on the ceiling and swung over to kick the same one in the face.
"Man, she's good." Peter complimented as she kept fighting on like it was nothing.
"Yep." Kara sighed as she crossed her arms, cape flowing through the wind. "She's holding herself pretty well."
Peter looked over and noticed that she seems down and decided to maybe check on J'onn's theory.
"Hey, listen, I had a talk with J'onn." Peter said, getting Kara's attention away from Anjelica. "He said you were so offensive on Angel's attempts at being a hero because you were afraid of your baby bird learning to fly on her own because one day, she'll be able to fly out of the nest and never come back."
Kara looked down to Anjelica and watched as she picked up someone by the chest and tossed them through the window.
"Sorry! Was that too much?" Anjelica asked as she looked up to her parents.
"Nah, it's fine." Kara promised as Anjelica gave a thumbs up and went back to fighting the others and Kara thought of what Peter said. "He might be onto something."
"Yeah." Peter knew it and smiled as he saw nobody even knew they were up there and removed his mask as he walked over and held Kara. "One day, she will leave. But it will be because we did our job correctly."
"I'm not ready for her to leave." Kara whispered as a few tears fell down and she held Peter. "I don't wanna say goodbye."
"Well, J'onn's suggestion to that was that we had another kid." Peter said and he didn't get his shock or scared reaction to Kara that he was expecting, in fact it was like she was considering it.
"Would that be something you're interested in?" Kara wondered.
"Well...I mean, is it something you're interested in?" Peter asked back. "Think about it, the last time Anjelica came into our lives, the Crisis on Infinite What If's happened-"
"The Crisis of what?" Kara asked as she broke off from him. "Have you been talking to Cisco?"
"Had a chat with him about fixing up Anjelica's suit a little, after we confirmed he'd be there for the Snow-Parker twins sixteenth birthday." Peter confirmed with a sigh. "But my point being she came five months earlier, in the middle of the Symbiote invasion. I'd be happy to have another kid with you, I just don't know how you feel."
"How about this. We see how Anjelica feels about it?" Kara asked as they looked down and saw as she flew through the window and holding onto several strands of webbing holding onto the criminals.
"So...where do I drop them off?" Anjelica asked.
"Nearest police station, honey." Peter answered for Kara.
"I'd usually tie them around a pole and leave them for the cops." Kara shrugged, giving her some options.
"Yeah, I need to talk to you about that." Peter informed her as he closed his mask. "Go drop them off, we wanna have a talk to you about something when you get home after school."
Anjelica looked like she felt she was in trouble, but then she saw a assuring look from Peter.
"You're not in trouble, we have a little family business to discuss." Peter explained to her.
"Oh! Okay." Anjelica understood.
Anjelica then flew off with the team of criminals in her hands as Peter and Kara then walked off and went to get resdy to go back home. That's when Brainy gave them a call regarding their visitor.
"Supergirl. Iron-Spider. I think you should come see what we've learned." Brainy tells them.
"On our way." Peter promised as they took off and knew that Anjelica would be safe.
Anjelica was back in the air, flying her way to school after she dropped off the criminals. But then that's when she sensed something coming. Looking around, she started to think about what it could be.
That's when it happened.
The scream.
The ear piercing, mind numbing, painful scream.
Anjelica covered her ears and ended up falling and smashing into the floor of an alleyway, breaking something when she heard something crack. She looked up and saw someone from the building roof who has makeup on to look like some sort of banshee.
A Silver Banshee.
"You." Anjelica said in a whisper.
She remembered the stories that her mother said about the Silver Banshee. She has made it her life's work to kill Kara Danvers and Supergirl.
Luckily, she had a way to handle this. She quickly shot a web out and yanked a giant garbage can to smash her. But then it was interrupted by a missile that destroyed it and Banshee kept screaming, this time loud enough that Anjelica couldn't take it and her ears began to bleed.
Biogeneral then came out and was carrying a rocket launcher before making it vanish into his suit. "I thought it would be harder to catch you if I'm honest, Super-Arachnid."
He then pulled out a net then shot it at her, and it was completely laced with Kryptonite. Anjelica had never been exposed to the compound before over the years, and she had never felt such agony in her life. It was as if pins and needles were being stabbed through her blood all over her body.
"Ha! Ahhh!" Anjelica cried out in pain.
"We have the package." Biogeneral informed the people in his comms. "We'll meet you at the rendezvous point. Just remember the deal."
"I promised you'll have another crack at taking down Iron-Spider. And you promised Banshee another attempt at killing Kara Danvers. We will all get what we want when this day is done."
"Copy." Biogeneral said as he hung up and walked over to the rookie hero, who was officially down and getting weaker the longer she was in the net. "We got three heroes for the price of one."
Brainy was doing some more scans over this, Cessily Kincaid, AKA Mercury Girl, which is what Alex, Nia, even Peter have begun to call her. Considering that she is made out of living Mercury metal.
Peter and Kara came in and saw Cessily was currently inside a container and being tested on by Brainy.
"How's our little house guest?" Kara asked, a little worried for the new girl.
"Well, she's not alien." J'onn informs them. "Definitely not a meta, no traces of dark matter."
"So, what does that mean?" Peter asked. "What other way could she get abilities?"
"The same way Luke Cage, Caitlin Snow, and Jessica Jones did. Mutation." Brainy answered as he watched Cessily turn back into her normal form. "She has the ability to turn every molecule from her body into Mercury. I'm not sure if she was born with this power, or secretly experimented on, but according to her, after revealing of this power, she was disowned by her parents, scratched out of existence. And was a runaway on her way to Central City when she saw Anjelica use her powers.
"She's looking for help." Peter guessed.
"A cure." Brainy corrected.
"She doesn't know mutants can't be cured?" Kara asked in worry.
"Seems she was desperate." J'onn took a guess. "She's looking for an understanding."
"Maybe we could help her." Peter offered as Cessily came out of the room and out to them.
"Well?" Cessily asked them, her body still giving off a silver glow. "Is there a way to fix me?"
"I'm sorry, but there's no cure for mutants." J'onn apologizes to her. "But we think we can help you out here."
"How?" Celessy asked.
"We can help you learn how to use your powers." Kara offered to her.
Roberta was looking through the halls of McCulloch Technologies, told to pick things up from a storage room, and was calling Anjelica.
"Hey, I've been trying to get in touch. Listen, I might be here for a while, but if you want, we can hang tomorrow. Sorry for bailing on you at the last second." Roberta apologized and hung up before going through the files. "Where are you?"
She then saw there was no sign of her S.S.S. file she was asked to pick up and went over to the next room to find it. Only when she did, she used her key card and when it opened, she saw what looked to be an experimental room. There was a chair with binds to hold someone down, syringes with blue serum around the room.
"What the hell?" Roberta wondered when she picked up a file on the table and read what it said:
Robotism
Heuristic
Intelligence
Navigable
Operative
"What's a R.H.I.N.O.?" Roberta wondered.
But before she could think about it any longer, she was stabbed in the neck by a syringe that knocked her out cold.
"She's seen too much." The scientist said to Joseph Carver.
"Then hook her up to the other experiments, tell her parents she accepted the invitation." Joseph stated and knew he needed to clean this up. "Try the S.S. program. We need some volunteers for that one. I have a meeting with P.A.R.K.E.R. Industries and this is not gonna make a good impression if kids can break in to random rooms."
In New York, Peter made it to the airport, dragging Wade's disfigured pieces in a gym bag to the airplane. He started to hear him moan and groan from inside the bag. Looks like Wade's finally waking back up.
"I'm terribly sorry for your loss, Wade." Peter apologized to his literal broken friend and dragged him to the plane.
"Oh, god." Wade muffled inside the bag. "I know that voice."
