After Kara and Barry brought their Silver Surfer to the Watchtower, Barry ran back to Central City to deal with his city's problems and left the team to deal with him.
"So, J'onn, do you have any idea what he is?" Kara wondered as Brainy and Lena scanned him and J'onn looked over him mentally.
"If I had to guess with the surfboard, he came from Zenn-La. Part of an extremely long-lived and technologically advanced humanoid race which had created a worldwide utopia devoid of crime, disease, hunger, poverty, and want of any kind." J'onn guessed as he looked to the board and placed a hand on it. "But I've never seen tech like this board, or any of them looking like him before."
"We can get more information when he wakes up. I suggest we leave him to rest." Brainy tells them.
"Until now, you have an unconscious Zenn-La on the med lab." Lena added.
"Good idea." Kara sighed when her phone went off and she saw it came from Eliza Danvers, her Earth/adopted mother. "Oh, Eliza's gonna be in town, she wants to see Anjelica."
"We need to find her first." Peter reminded her.
Almost on que, the screens in the room, as well as the entire city, started to turn to static and turning on to show someone looking exactly like Dreamer, but with a darker look.
"What the hell?" Nia asked.
"Hello, National City." The mysterious Dreamer double greeted to the camera. "Now, I know what you're all thinking: 'where have I seen this person before?' Well, I'll make things clear. I'm the exact opposite of Dreamer. Call me Nightmare, leader of the Nightmare Crew. We come from a place known simply as the Dark Dimension. And yes, I did indeed say we."
Nightmare then turned the camera she was carrying to show Biogeneral, Silver Banshee, and her partners in crime: Captain HYDRA and Arachnid.
Both of them looked almost identical to Captain America and Ghost-Spider, the only difference being America's double is wearing a blood red suit with the HYDRA symbol on it and Ghost's double wearing an all-black suit with white outlines, and a black mask and hood.
"We've been working in the shadows. Making other criminals do our dirty work, who knew it took two professional killers who actually came close to killing the Supers to get the job done?"
"Ph. They didn't come close." Kara scoffed and rolled her eyes.
Peter looked loved to her with a raised brow, remembering their fight with Banshee when she first showed up and teamed with Livewire, and it almost killed her. "Really?"
But then he remembered she doesn't remember Pre-Crisis, and Biogeneral was his pain in the neck that constantly got away until Kara showed up and put him away. Seemed that this Nightmare Crew broke him out for a rematch.
"We've been trying to take them down without revealing ourselves and find a purpose, but it didn't work out." Nightmare tells them as she turned the camera to face her again. "So, you have something that we want. The Phantom Zone Projector. Bring it to us to the location that we will attach with this video."
"They think we're gonna hand over the Projector?" Morgan asked with a raised brow.
"We can take them." Nia promised with a scoff. "They're just some wannabes."
"Why do they think we'd just agree to do this?" Peter wondered, feeling there's something to this they're not saying.
"Oh, and in case you have any bright ideas..." Nightmare said as she turned the camera to reveal an unconscious Super-Arachnid. Anjelica had been captured and was being held down with ropes laced with Kryptonite. "Poor rookie, didn't even see what was coming."
"Angel!" Kara cried in fear.
"Mom?" Anjelica groaned. "Dad? I'm sorry..."
Nightmare then took the camera off of her and showed a smile on her face. "You have one hour. That'll give you enough time to get here with the projector, without the time to come up with a real plan. See you soon. Oh, and if you're late, we kill the girl." She then reached over to the side of the camera and it turned off and the team were left shocked.
Peter was becoming nervous as he looked over to Kara who's eyes were LITERALLY burning with hatred and anger.
"I'm gonna annihilate them all." Kara promised with a tone Peter had only heard when the two of them fought due to the Red Kryptonite.
Tommy, Daniel, and Tina were left alone with Tula in the labs, wondering what she's here to do. She said that she was here to earn them of something coming, but never got the chance to say.
"What exactly is it that's coming?" Tommy asked Tula.
"And who are you?" Tina wondered.
"My name is Tula Curry." Tula introduced herself to them. "And I'm the daughter of Arthur and Mera Curry. Princess of Atlantis."
Daniel scoffed, but then looked and realized she was serious. "Wait, you're serious?"
"Yeah, I'm serious." Tula confirmed. "I have come here with a message on behalf of my father. A man I know you defeated a while back somehow made it over to my home and is planning on attacking the main land, I was sent to warn you."
"Who?" Tina wondered.
"Apparently. You called him King Shark." Tula confirmed who she was thinking of.
"King Shark?" Tommy asked in shock. "What's he doing down there?"
"He's raised an army of mutated shark people and is on his way here." Tula answered. "My parents can't leave Atlantis and sent me to warn you and...even offered myself."
That made all the kids stop in their tracks, no idea what exactly she was talking about.
"I'm sorry, what exactly do you mean by that?" Daniel was the only one with the courage to ask.
"My services in the battle, and any other assistance you require." Tula explained to them, getting them to understand and groan at their stupidity.
"Oh!" They all now understand.
"Listen, we appreciate the help, but we are a little full on cast members, not to mention there's another Electro out there we need to stop." Tina apologizes to Tula jokingly.
"And a lot of other monsters we can't even imagine with the other Sinister Six gear still out there." Tommy added.
"So, say I offered assistance to the capture and defeat of...Electro and the others." Tula tried to strike up a deal with them. "Would that help you trust me?"
"We'd trust you if you helped us fight a new generation Sinister Six." Tommy promised her. "But to stop Electro, we need to find out exactly who and where she is."
"I can help with that." Gideon said as she suddenly appeared in the middle of the room. She pulled up the footage of the fight before removing a few key elements, showing the woman in the vest as Gideon then showed a new photo of a young girl. "Her names Francine Frye, and she was obsessed with super-villains as a form to escape from the real world. Seems that she was a regular accomplice of Electro. Seems she did have the know how to use the vest but didn't have any way of controlling it."
"Who helped her?" Tina asked. "Last we fought, she was incapable of using her powers, and now she is a pro and going through the electrical currents."
"There are a number of accomplices that could be a possibility to look into." Gideon confirmed.
"Speaking of which. Where's our Halo girl?" Daniel wondered.
"Mom was looking over her for exactly what the extent of her powers are." Tina answered. "Gideon, where do we find Francine Frye?"
"I've been tracking her electrical current signature ever since your fight." Gideon stated as she showed where it's going. "The current seems to be heading its way down towards the downtown of Central City."
"That's where dad placed the new interface conducting all of Electro...well, Max Dillon's electrical current after he absorbed it using that chamber downstairs holding Chester P." Tommy remembered what's in downtown she could possibly need.
"She's going to absorb the electrical current of the city, and after that, there is no telling how powerful she'll become." Tina stated in shock. "Even Electro 1.0 couldn't do that. Time to suit up. And get Violet. Let's stop her."
"Why don't we tell dad and the others?" Tommy wondered.
"Sorry, but it seems the adults are answering a distress call that was sent off by Cecile Horton in NCPD." Gideon informed them.
"So, we're on our own against Electro." Tina added on.
"I'll call Dawn. Get her down here, we're gonna need her help." Tommy commented as he walked off.
"The child of Elongated Man, the twins of Spider-Man and Crystal Frost/Caitlin Snow, a dead girl with uncontrollable powers, daughter of the Flash, and the Princess of Atlantis against the reboot of an untouchable villain who controls electricity." Daniel commented on what they're saying. "Sounds like a plan."
Anjelica started to wake up and noticed she was in some sort of warehouse, nowhere she was familiar with. But yet again, it's not like she's hanging around many abandoned warehouses.
"Ow." Anjelica groans as she felt pain in her hands and saw she was still handcuffed with Kryptonite.
"Oh, she's awake." Banshee realized as she walked over and grabbed Anjelica by the hair and pulled her to face her. "Just stay down, out of our way, and don't do anything stupid, and you might live."
"Why are you doing this?" Anjelica asked, her entire body in more pain than she could ever imagine.
"Let's say that I have a score to settle, and I saw an opening with you." Banshee said with a scoff. "You thought you could be a hero? You're nothing but a child in a Halloween costume."
"At least I'm using my powers for good." Anjelica snarled, her dad's snark of ticking off the villians shining.
"It's because of your mother, and that pretty perfect Kara Danvers that I'm like this." Banshee informed her, confusing Anjelica until she remembered that she never learned Kara and Supergirl were the same.
"Okay..." Anjelica decided to say, no idea what to say.
"And with my own team, I'm gonna finally take down Supergirl, and then I'm going for Danvers." Banshee kept monologuing, and Angelica was getting sick of it. "We are gonna use their own Phantom Zone projector and toss your parents into hell."
"Hey, Banshee. Stop monologuing to the kid." Captain HYDRA demanded of her.
"Thank you..." Anjelica said with relief.
But she quickly became worried again for what'll happen to her family if they came to rescue her. That's when she looked and realized she was chained with regular chains, and doing a quick test, she saw she still had her father's super strength, just not to the same extent she had before. It'll take a while, but she might be able to free herself before they walk into a trap.
In downtown Central City, people were going about their everyday lives as normal when the power in the area shut down, followed by the electricity coming back and energy flowing from the outlets coming together and forming the new Electro.
She stumbled through the crowd, feeling like she needs to absorb more energy to keep her body intact. Walking through the crowd, she seems to go by undetected (surprisingly) and made it over to where the powerlines are that lead directly to the core where all of Electro 1.0's energy is flowing towards. Luckily she doesn't need to be at the source and she started to absorb the energy, causing the surrounding area to spark out.
A nearby officer noticed this and the girl before approaching her and calling for backup, just in case. "Ma'am. Hands away from the cables!" He demanded as Francine smiled and blasted the officer, only for at the last second for a flash of lightning to save him.
"Whoo. That was a close one." Dawn commented before turning back to the villian who was having gas grenades' tossed her way.
But that's when Francine just used her power and blasted the bombs back, including sending a forcefield of electricity back that sent the police cars flying back as well.
The cars didn't get far when one of them was pulled into a portal that suddenly opened and sucked it up. Another car was hit by a blast of cold. Followed quickly by another getting caught by Winter-Spider. Then the last of them all was then saved by the cops being pulled out of the way thanks to Elastic.
Everyone was wearing their suits, including Daniel, who was wearing a suit based off his Father's but with a different color scheme, and Violet was wearing a suit that was just a black hoodie and matching pants to hide her face and shadow her identity from the rest of the world.
"That was dramatic." Tula commented on the teams attempt to save them all as she walked over to them.
"It's just how we are." Tommy shrugged and flipped the car right side up.
The team saw Francine absorbed enough to cause a blackout, meaning she can't absorb any more power. A safeguard that Peter put in place in case another Electro, or Electro like person, ever showed up.
"Listen, Francine, calm down." Tina pleaded with her, feeling like this was her fault. "You don't wanna do this."
"Oh, but that's where you are wrong." Francine stated as she smiled and looked down at her hands that were sparking electricity. "I've never felt so alive! I watched this game from the sidelines for years. And yeah, I saw plenty of gross dudes get a leg up along the way. But now that I got my turn? I'm just here to raise some Hell, make some money - and maybe a little payback along the way."
She then sent a gigantic blast at a board, which sent a screen falling on several pedestrians that the team quickly got to work.
Tina stayed behind with Electro as Tommy leaped and shot a web to catch the screen, followed by Daniel using arms to grab everyone and pull them out of the way. Dawn helped him with that as a dozen shards of glass came down and Violet shot out yellow beams from her hands that scorched the debris before it could hurt anyone. For good measure, Tula used her power to manipulate the water nearby and created a giant ball of water that caught the debris as it fell down.
Tina saw her friends and family has it and looked back over to Electro as it seems she's going to explain herself. "You see, growing up, I never had a thing for heroes. Because the one thing people love more than a hero is a villian!" She cried as she shot a blast at Tina, but she flipped back and dodged the attack and shot a web at Francine.
But that ended as a mistake as Tina's web shooter was then immediately fried and scorched, also sending her flying into the nearest car. That caused Tina to cry and grab her palm and saw that her wrist was burned due to the fried electronics.
"Gotta say, I'm hating this super villian reboot almost as much as I hated the Ghostbusters 2016 reboot." Tina groaned as she got back up.
Tommy then came and landed on the roof of the car. "Meh, I sorta liked it."
"Can we focus on the villian and not movies?" Dawn asked as she sped over and the others all came back around to her.
"Right." Tina agreed as they watched as Francine took her attention off them and is focusing on the officers. "Are our comms working?"
"The blackout took them out, too." Tommy was sorry to say.
"Okay, so still no way to contact our parents." Tina was sorry to say. "Okay, how did Dad take down Electro 1.0?"
"Water." Tommy easily remembered and looked to Tula. "Wanna help us take down the new Electro?"
Tula looked up and was seeing there wasn't much water in the area before looking down and noticing the sewer pipes. Not the most pleasant of water, but yet again, this is a villian.
"I might be able to, but I'm gonna need a minute to get enough water." Tula tells them.
"She needs us to buy her time." Violet said, in perfect English this time, surprising the team. "What?"
"Sorry, you're just learning fast." Dawn apologized for their faces.
"Well, you have your mission. Distract Electro." Daniel guessed as he reached out and grabbed a board before he yanked himself and used his body as a shield to protect the cops, which made him cry in pain.
"Hey, Sparkles!" Tommy called, causing Electro to turn and look over at him. "Hey, we had some unfinished business, don't we?" He then shot a blast of ice at her, which made Electro create a shield made of electricity.
"You think that's going to stop me? Come on!" Electro dared as Tina then came in and shot at Electro herself, but that was a mistake as she used the same shield as a toss of power, that made Tina backflip to dodge the hit, that flipped a car over.
Senses going haywire, Tina saw the bars were conducting her powers, sending a wave of electricity towards a group of people and the car flipping over was going to come and crush over the people. And she has to do all of this with one down web shooter.
Thinking fast, she placed her thumb over the shooter, causing it instead of going out in one direction, to spread out into multiple, catching onto some posts that caught the car and Tina flipped and shot a giant blanket over the steel to stop the electricity from going any further.
Landing on her feet with a proud grin, Tina looked over and jumped around mockingly. "What? That the best you've got?"
"No." Francine stated as she shot a bigger blast towards Tina who did a quick spin and landed on a chair before she then shot a web and escaped before she could get hit.
Seeing an idea in mind, Violet saw a fire hydrant. Seems someone needs to educate Tula on water supply later if she's gonna be an asset to their team. She quickly glows yellow and shot energy beams out of her hands and hits the water. To direct it, she changed to red and created a forcefield that shot a beam towards her.
"Do you honestly think that'll work?" Francine asked as she jumped and started to float around.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me." Daniel groaned.
But Tula finally got enough water and sent it towards Electro, sending her flying into the sign. Electro groaned as she didn't see that coming, and the team thought it was all over. They started to cool down and thought that the villian was unconscious.
That was a mistake when Electro took the two wires that were around her and attached them to her without hesitation. Her entire body then absorbed the entire electrical grid, causing an explosion to go off, causing everyone to go flying backwards.
Everyone started running as Electro floated off the hole and started shooting blasts around at random. "So much power! I am un-"
Before she could even finish that statement, she was hit by a giant blast of water, but this time she was sent flying into a bus stop and knocked unconscious. The man responsible was none other than Spider-Man himself.
"Whoo!" Peter cheered as he turned off the fire hose he and a bunch of other fire fighters were using to take her down. "Gotta say. Didn't expect to come home to this. But at the same time, it's not a surprise." He stated as he swung the hose around in his hands as he walked over and saw the kids were getting back on their feet. "You kids okay?"
"Define okay." Tommy dared as he groaned and got to his feet before shaking himself. "Just shake it off, it's just your bones, your muscles and your organs."
"So...Electro 2.0. And a new girl." Peter commented on the new Electro and the new...Aquagirl. "Anything else I miss?"
"Long story on all accounts." Tina groaned as Tula helped her stand up. "But it's great to see the OG Spider-Man back."
"Great to be back, kid." Peter said as he scuffled her hair up.
What they didn't know was that they were being watched by a device that looked like a camera on tentacles. The footage of everything that happened was being sent over to a secret base where someone was watching the whole thing.
"Seems you were wrong." A female voice said to the computer. "So much for the most intelligent mind in the world."
"Don't question me, Trainer. Do not forget who was the one who took you in." The voice stated. "And don't forget who orchestrated all of this from Chester Runk's black holes, to where the gear would appear."
"Alright. Fine, Mr. Living Brain." Carolyn Trainer sighed and lied back before looking back to reveal she indeed has the rest of the gear, all but the Scorpion tail ready to go. "What's our next move?"
"Time to find us another recruit." He then pulled up a file on some girl with hair covering her left eye.
"What makes this one so special?" Carolyn wondered.
"You will see, my child." The Living Brain promised with what sounded almost like a cackle.
Zoë Kravitz as Francine Frye / Electro
Jeni Ross as Carolyn Trainer
Alfred Molina as Living Brain
