A bunch of Fic ideas that I had but don't plan on writing. Most are Naruto Fics but there are others in the mix. Each chapter will be a different Fic idea. All of them are up for adoption, the only thing that I ask in return is that you PM me if you write any of them so I can read it too! You don't even need to credit me lol.
ZENKAI
I had this idea today, literally. So, it's gonna be a short one. The core of it came to life as a question popped into mind: What if Naruto had Zenkai?
For those who don't know, Zenkai is an ability exclusively to Saiyans (yeah, from Dragon Ball). What Zenkai does is, basically, give the Saiyan a power boost after they recover from injury or training. Also, the more beaten down the Saiyan's body is the greater the power boost. Notice that my proposition here is not "What if Naruto was a Saiyan". I have already seen this a lot. What I am proposing is to give Naruto the Zenkai ability, and the Zenkai alone.
But how would the Zenkai work in the Narutoverse? Well, since Naruto already is a Chakra monster, my idea is to have the Zenkai boost only his physical attributes. Of course, I am not suggesting that it will make Naruto punch people so hard that they would fly miles away (at least not until the War Arc). Compared to DBZ, the Zenkai here would be mild.
At first, I was going to stop here and leave the rest for whomever adopts it (truth be told; this is more a challenge than an idea that is up for adoption…), but I managed to have a few more ideas to go with the main one.
First, I tried to think about how Naruto would gain or develop the Zenkai ability. Initially I thought about just settling for saying that it is either a Uzumaki or Jinchuuriki trait. But I wanted the Zenkai to be as exclusive to Naruto as possible. The only thing that came to my mind was to combine the two possibilities, meaning that Kurama's influence on his UZUMAKI host would bring the ability to life. Of course, that also means that both Mito and Kushina had the Zenkai, but since they fought mostly with their Chakra, neither had exploited it too much.
Secondly; I wanted to make Naruto exploit both the Zenkai and his insane healing factor to grow stronger. But I am not confident that Naruto would be able to figure out his quirks on his own, so I needed a catalyst. And what better catalyst than a teacher? And what better teacher for him, considering his circumstances, than our YOUTHFUL Maito Gai?
Even though I loved the idea of Gai taking Naruto under his wing early on, it had one problem; Rock Lee. Don't get me wrong! Lee is one of my favorite characters, but with the direction this idea was taking, I figured Naruto and Lee's skill sets would end up pretty similar. It would be redundant. So, with a heavy heart, I reasoned with myself that Lee should not exist in this story.
But I found a way to pay Lee a tribute, of sorts, and that is to "merge" him with Naruto. I really like the concept of Lee (and Asta from Black Clover) thriving despite not being able to perform Jutsu. And that is the part of him that I gave to Naruto. The idea is that, during Kurama's sealing into Naruto, the boy's Chakra core got permanently damaged. That means that Naruto would never be able to perform Jutsu that requires Hand-Seals. Of course, he would still be able to do techniques that only requires Chakra Manipulation or Transformation (like wall and water walking, Chakra infusion into objects and his limbs, the 8 Gates, the Rasengan, Sage Mode [but he wouldn't have the assistance of the Toads, if you choose to give him Sage Mode], etc), but they would still be very difficult for him to learn.
I don't know when Gai began to train Lee in canon, but I think he would notice Naruto's quirks pretty early, making their training begin early too (that would also mean that Gai would make sure that Naruto ate properly).
As for graduation and team placement; My idea is to make Naruto try to graduate one year sooner (together with Neji and Tenten's class). He would, obliviously, fail due his inability to do any jutsu. Here, though, Mizuki pulled his stunt and the whole thing with him revealing to Naruto about the Fox (as well Naruto's bonding with Iruka) happened one year earlier than in canon (save for Naruto learning the Shadow Clone. We could, maybe, say that he read on the Scroll about the 8 Gates and opened the first to beat Mizuki). So, Naruto did graduate early and was put in team 9, with Neji and Tenten, led by Gai. What about team 7? I don't know… Shove Sai there and it should be ok lol.
Lastly; Pairing. I think Naruto x Hinata would be fitting, for three reasons. First; I think that Hinata's crush on Naruto would be even greater, since Naruto had to deal with even more struggle than his canon self, because of his inability to perform Jutsu. Second; I think it is reasonable to believe that Naruto and Hinata would have more opportunities to interact due to him being on Neji's team. Third; Also because of the fact that Neji is his teammate, Naruto would become aware of Hinata's problems much earlier and would sympathize with her (I also believe that Neji's redemption would begin earlier. Talk-no-Jutsu still is a thing). Also, I think Naruto and Hinata's relationship would progress muuuuuch faster than in canon for the same reasons.
That's pretty much it… But I want to add a side note. I think it would be cool if Naruto's body actually showed his gains, you know? I mean, you could make him grow taller (in canon, when he finished growing at "The Last", Naruto was 6' tall. Here I was thinking about 7' tall, when he finishes growing, of course) and make him beefier (like Yami, from Black Clover, level). It would make sense, in my opinion, due his quirks.
