Chapter 32: The Falmart Chronicles (Filler)
Note:
Realistically, Operation Dark Storm will freeze the planet into a snowball. The goal of Earth is to conquer a new world for its living space and resources, Dark Storm will ruin the planet. The Empire can survive without the sun but humans can't. Doing Dark Storm is counterproductive to this goal.
A brief history of Falmart and the Great Unification War
- 170,000 years ago : The first walled city, Jerio of the Grey Mountains, was built. It housed nearly 12,000 dwarves and is craved partially into the cliffs that surrounded on three sides.
- 160,000 years ago : The secret to making bricks was discovered. Civilizations quickly use this cheap, newfound material to construct huge (for that time) sprawling settlements for their quickly increasing populations.
- 150,000 years ago : Terra Magica entered the Bronze age when the first elven empire discover bronze by smelting copper and alloying it with tin, arsenic, or other metals. With new metal tools many hunting gathering civilizations turned into agriculture society.
- 130,000 years ago : The Little Ice Age began, lasting for several centuries. Global temperature drops by 4 degrees, and much to the North becomes a freezing wasteland. Beastmen who are native to the area flee to the comparatively warmer South, where they were soon subjected to slavery and domestication.
- 100,000 years ago : Falmart, the Patronus of Terra Magica, created the 12 Gods of Falmart before returning to the Eternal Realm. In his honor, the new gods renamed the planet into Falmart.
- 99,999 years ago : The gothic duo, Emroy and Hardy became smitten with each other almost instantly. They married and gave birth to Acnologia, the Black Dragon of the Apocalypse. Quite fitting for the son of darkness and the underworld.
- 99,000 years ago : Black Dragon of the Apocalypse gave birth to the pure blood dragonoid race. With their divine power the dragonoid enslaved the entire world. Only the prideful elves were still resisting.
The Gods knew that the elves had no chance. A pure blood dragonoid has the strength of 20 elves. If they fight the Dragonoid they'd be massacred.
But they didn't want the elves to die out. After all, who will worship them if all the elves perished?
Thus they thought of a plan. They created a massive magnetic storm to disorientate the dragonoid.
The gods also chose champions from among the greatest fighters, and bestowed upon them superhuman powers. Some say that these were the first Apostles.
Hopefully, this would be enough for the gods' favorites to triumph.
The horrible war lasted for thirty years before ending, and cost more than 3 million elven lives.
- 70,000 years ago : From a cave on Alnus hill, a strange, hairy two-legged humanoid stumbles out into daylight.
The Home-Sapiens (humans) frowns at the sky. Something seems off, but his limited brain cells fail to find the difference. Unknowingly, he was the 13th sentient being to go through a Gate.
This place nice, he thought.
Bring family here, he thought.
Somewhere, a goddess smiled at this interesting new species she brought into her world.
- 65,000 years ago : Under the harsh environment of Falmart, the human survivors evolved into new species: Immanity, who became the masters of the subcontinent.
Ages pass, and Immanity progresses from hunter-gather societies wandering the land whence they first arrive at, to fixed settlements for farming and domestication.
Taming the wildfowl and aurochs that roamed the land, the Immanity build tents, then shacks, then huts, then cabins. Erected walls of wood to protect themselves, and crafted stone weapons to hunt their prey.
Plowed the land, sowed seeds, harvested crops. Multiplied and grew in numbers.
Spreading out from their original homelands, they start exploring the lands around them, coming into contact with other creatures like goblins, demi-humans, elves, dwarves, etc.
It was during this period that Immanity showcased its greatest strength.
The ability to adapt.
Learning how to farm from the elves, crafting weapons like the dwarves, stealing fighting techniques from the demi-humans, Immanity took the best of each species for his own.
And then he modified the skills and used it against their original owners.
Slavery also became common starting from then, as the Immanity began waging wars on other species and enslaving those they conquered.
The 12 gods didn't mind that, of course, since the Immanity prayed and made offerings to them, but those who were enslaved weren't that happy.
- 60,000 years ago : High Queen of the elves, makes a pact with the seven Immanity elders. She would lead her people west across the West Sea to avoid conflict with the Immanity empires, who in turn will not hunt down or enslave any more elves. The pact is sealed with a promise to aid each other in times of dire need.
- 58,000 years ago : A shepherd on the Western Islands suddenly gains the ability to produce flames from his hands. He was shunned because of it and accused of being a demon. Women would scream at the sight of him and carry their children back into their homes while men chase him away with sticks. He was driven away by his family and forced to live in solitude in the wilderness. Sadly, the first Immanity wizard died a lonely death several years later.
- 57,000 years ago : The War of the 5 races. The Golden Horde of the Centaur King Temüjin allied with the Green Horde of Orcs King Azeroth. Together they launched the Great Western Migration to conquer Europania. The Immanity, Elves and Dwarves create an Alliance to defeat the Eastern invaders.
- 55,000 years ago : It is said that around this time Emroy broke up with Hardy. Hardy's priests would tell you that Emroy had a Immanity mistress, while supporters of Emroy would insist that it was because Hardy was a homosexual bitch.
- 53,000 years ago : The 1st Arachnid War. The Arachnid Empire invaded Falmart and almost consumed all biological mass of the planet. The 12 Gods of Falmart became the 13 Gods of Falmart after Darwin, the Titan King, offered his support in exchange a new home for his people and a seat in the Divine Council. One million Homo Titaniens entered Falmart. The New Era of Titan has begun.
-52,000 years ago : The descendants of the one million Homo Titaniens spread across the world, assimilating all other sentient beings. The Homo Titaniens thanks to their unique physiology structure can interbreed with all other sentient beings but their offspring will always be a Homo Titaniens.
Most species were willing to be assimilated due to the gift of Titan powers. A Homo Titanien, no matter the species of original, can live up to a thousand years. The Elves, however can live up to 2000 years on their own so they refused to be assimilated because they didn't want their lifespan to be cut in half.
The Nine Elven Kings led their men eastward from Azjania through Beringia into Ameryka to avoid being assimilated. From these settlers, a pure blood, anti-titan empire would rise in the next 10,000 years. The Gra Valkas Federation.
In the eastern land of Azjania, the city state of Sadera was founded by the First Emperor, who was a direct descendant of the Titan King Darwin. The Greatest Empire in history was born.
- 50,000 years ago : The Sadera Republic became the Holy Darwinian Empire after the Second Founding by the 7th Emperor, who pledged his loyalty to the gods. Over the next 10,000 years, the Holy Darwinian Empire spread across the eastern land of Azjania and became the world's first superpower.
- 40,000 years ago : Fearing the rising power of Darwinia, the Western Kingdoms of Europania signed a mutual defense treaty creating the Europania Union. The world's second superpower.
The two superpowers fought bitterly for global supremacy over the next 10,000 years.
However, while the Holy Darwinian Empire was an absolute monarchy under the rule of one man. The Union never achieved the extent of political unification as the Holy Darwinian Empire.
Evolving instead into a decentralised, limited elective monarchy. Composing of hundreds of sub-units: Kingdoms, principalities, duchies, counties, prince-bishoprics, Free Imperial Cities, and eventually even individuals enjoying imperial immediacy, such as the imperial knights.
The power of the emperor was limited, and while the various princes, lords, bishops, and cities of the empire were vassals who owed the emperor their allegiance. They also possessed an extent of privileges that gave them de facto independence within their territories.
Meanwhile, in the backward land of Ameryka a new power was rising. The Gra Valkas Federation. As the last Empire without Titan powers, the Federation quickly became a totalitarian state where nearly all aspects of life were controlled by the government.
Racism, eugenics, and especially anti-titanism, were central ideological features of the new regime. The Elven peoples were considered by the regime to be the master race, the purest branch of the non-titan race. Discrimination and the persecution of dwarves and demi-humans people began in earnest after the formation of the Federation.
To compete with the two superpowers, the Federation of Gra Valkas undertook a slow process of industrialization. Using their natural talent with magic, the Federation invented the first magic train, cementing its position as the third superpower in the world.
- 39,000 years ago : The First Black Crusader happened when the disgraced Prince Arminius opened a Gate to the dark dimension. The Empire began the Great Scouring to push back all the traitors and chaos demons.
- 30,000 years ago : By now, Falmart was locked in an eternal three-way cold war. The three superpowers had been at each other's throats since the 20,000 I.C .
By 22,000 I.C it has become a constant, and they regularly change allegiance with each other.
Each superpower was self-supporting so they did not war over natural resources, nor was the destruction of the opponent the primary objective.
For, even when two states ally against the third, no combination was powerful enough to do so.
That was true, until the Tunguska Event, a massive ~1.2 million megaton explosion that occurred near the Tunguska River in Yeniseysk, Europania Union, on the morning of Luna 37th, 24908 I.C.
The explosion over the densely populated Eastern Plain flattened an estimated 80 billion trees over an area of 2,150,000 km2 of land, and eyewitness reports suggest that at least 43 million people may have died in the event.
The explosion was attributed to a meteor air burst: the atmospheric explosion of a stony meteoroid about 1000–1200 metres in size.
The meteoroid approached from the east-southeast, and likely with a relatively high speed of about 135 km/s. It is classified as an impact event, even though no impact crater has been found. The object is thought to have disintegrated at an altitude of 15 to 20 kilometres rather than to have hit the surface of Falmart.
The Event greatly weakened the Union, opening a chance for the Empire to strike. The Union lost half of its territory over the next 2000 years.
While the Empire was busy dismantling the Union, the Gra Valkas Federation fall into isolationism under the ruler of Führer Elena.
- 28,000 years ago : Führer Elena of the Gra Valkas Federation died without an heir
After a century of debates, the Elvish council finally decides to crown Elena's younger daughter the new Führer. However, the older child murders her sister in a fit of rage after hearing the news. The council executed her for sororicide and high treason.
The elder sister's lover, a general in the army, marches into the capital and burns the council house to the ground to avenger her. He announce to the Gra Valkas Federation that he bedded Elena's elder sister and she conceived with a bastard for him before her death. Since Elena has no more children, he anoints his son the new Führer.
A few councilmen escapes with the help of Elena's sister, and then proclaims her as the new Führer. Sometime along the way, a fake Elena appeared, claiming to be the old Führer returned from the dead.
The Gra Valkas Federation quickly descend into a three-way civil war, creating a golden chance for the Empire to dominate the rest of the world.
- 25,000 years ago : By now the Europania Union was a shadow of its former self. The 55th Emperor, Charles Zi Augustus negotiated a political unification between the Empire and the Union aimed to destroy the last superpower and unifying the world.
In 26997 I.C a massive Imperial-Union combined force crossed the Beringia land bridge into the biggest defeat in Imperial history. The Beringia Battle or more widely knew as the Backstab at Beringia.
What the Empire didn't know at the time was that the Gra Valkas Federation under the leadership of Führer Benedict Arnold had secretly negotiating with the Prime Minister Judas The III of Europania Union to form an Alliance to fight the Empire.
By the late 27th millennium, the Gra Valkas Federation was the most technologically advanced nation on Falmart. They utilized magic technology to create machines that run on magical energy, like jets, cars or high-speed electric train. As a result, their technology level was somewhere in the post-WWII - the Cold War era.
They had the magic technology to produce sonar, radar, depth charges, torpedoes, radios proximity fuses, computers, guided missiles, even primitive magic nuke along with very advanced form of chemical and biological warfare.
Gra Valkas military was at the early-Korea War level as their electronic technology seems to be on the level of the United States, but with a design philosophy similar to Japan during WW2.
The Gra-Valkas Grand Army was composed primarily of motorized infantry forces, equipped with enchanted 13mm bolt-action rifles.
It also had a paratrooper force, although it was neither well trained or well equipped.
An elite branch of the infantry are the Assassination Units, highly trained special forces meant to engage in strikes against key military or civilian targets, or counter special forces from other countries.
The Assassination Units were equipped Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear that allows great mobility when facing the Titans in combat. The combination of Magic Thunder Spears and automatic pistols enables the gear to be used for anti-infantry, anti-fortification, and anti-Titan warfare.
The country has a single completely mechanized Army Group, the 4th Special Mechanized Army Group (Gra Valkas) consisting of 2240 ultra-heavy tanks (similar in style to Landkreuzer P. 1000 tanks but much faster), supported by 3760 super-heavy tanks (similar in style to Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus tanks), tens thousands of armored cars and scout motorcycles.
The armored forces were often used as spearhead offensive forces aimed at enemy key positions.
Gra Valkas Armed Forces had artillery that can range up to 44 km, surpassing most modern stationary Field Artillery that are commonly reaches only up to 15 km without rocket boost support (this was achieved by making large caliber guns and enchanted it with magic).
The artillery was surpassing even some modern cannons with rocket support on the munitions. However, this comes with the downsides of being difficult to transport and they are ineffective against aerial assault.
The Gra Valkas Empire's strongest Army Group, the 4th Special Mechanized Army Group, possessed 300 super guns that could reach a maximum of 330km. The Vergeltungswaffe 3 super cannon.
The gun operated on the multi-charge principle whereby secondary propellant charges are fired to add velocity to a projectile.
The weapon, consisting of two 130 m long barrels. It fired 150 mm shells over a distance of up to 330 kilometres with a theoretical maximum rate of 600 per hour and with a muzzle velocity of 2.5 km/s
Each shell weighed 140 kg, allowing for a maximum of 84 tonnes of high-explosive shells hitting target on an hourly basis.
The Federation had no dedicated air force, but both its army and navy have their own aviation services.
Their Army Aviation was mostly composed of their mainstay fighter, the Super Antares, and was supplemented by twin-engine bombers and others supported aircraft.
Their main goals are to achieve air superiority, launch aerial assaults, bombardments and support the ground forces/surface fleets.
They do have a long-range, ultra-heavy bomber with six jets engines called the Ultra Guti Maun for high-altitude carpet bombing.
The Navy's air service consisted also of Antares fighters, but also Super Sirius Dive-Bombers and Super Rigel Torpedo-Bombers.
The Navy was the most powerful force in their armed forces, ranging from about 8000 to more than 20,000 warships of all kinds, from high-speed destroyers to giant battleships and aircraft carriers.
Gra Valkas pursued a doctrine that looked like Japan during World War 2: whereby submarines and aircraft would attack and wear out enemy fleets before battleships and heavy cruisers arrived and completely destroy the enemy in a "decisive battle".
However, there were some differences: Gra-Valkas considered submarines to be a support force, but when needed, they could also separate combat independently.
As for their submarines, they are armed with magic guided torpedoes with an effective range of 10-50 km.

Using very high-purity fire attribute magic stones, the power is enhanced based on the repulsion power of wind and earth magic.

Some Late-War weapons of the Federation:
...utilization of non-euclidean spaces was a major reason behind Gra Valkas early success, with operations like market garden succeeding as a result of the storage capacity and lifting capability of the Gra Valkas air fleet, with the limitations being the size of the additional non-euclidean space could be no more than 5 times larger than the original space, with space any larger resulting in dimensional breakdown. Other experimental usages of non-euclidean geometry came in the form of artillery, with several "super guns" being tested as both weapons and space launch systems...
Notable weapon systems:
B-36Θ: Incredibly expensive at nearly 50 million suwani each, the B-36Θ had a bomb load of over 360 tonnes due to its non-euclidean bomb bay.
Saratoga-class: Essentially an Rodeus-Class Aircraft Carrier that could hold over 500 aircraft. Essential in providing 24/7 air cover, one of the reasons behind Gra Valkas success in the Spokojny Ocean.
Sikorsky R-7Θ: Able to carry 50 troops or various pieces of equipment, the R-7Θ saw little service due to its vulnerability to attack and the high price tag associated with creating non-euclidean spaces.
M44Θ APC: One of the many variants of the famous M44 APC, the M44Θ could carry more than 50 troops into battle - however, much like the R-7, due to the fact that it offered little advantage over just making 4 more APCs, alongside its vulnerability as a ground vehicle meant it only saw service in specialized roles as a command vehicle.
"Eidechse" Armored recovery vehicle: The "Eidechse" was one of the few Federation armored vehicles to carry a Vril power source. While vulnerable, its heavy armor ensured it would be difficult to destroy, even for energy beam weaponry. It's vril power source allowed its engine to bear extraordinary loads, with the "Eidechse'' capable of towing any vehicle in the army, even the massive Hound Ultra-Heavy Tank.

A "Igel" Urban assault vehicle: Built as the end-all solution to the heavy urban combat the Federation army found itself in for the majority of the war, the "Igel" carried a Shockwave cannon that sent out a massive blast of air capable of knocking down buildings and easily killing unprotected nearby infantry through overpressure. More akin to a moving fortress than the Panzer IX, The "Igel" also carried 4 sonic projectors to prevent being swarmed by infantry, 2 remote-controlled 30mm cannons, 4 MG-46s, and an automatic shotgun that could carry a variety of shells.
"Ubersolden" Armored Infantry Suit: To match the strength of the titanshifter enemy, the Federation experimented with armored infantry. The end result was "Ubersolden", the best armored infantry suit in history up to that point.
Resembling a modern version of a medieval suit of armor, the "Ubersolden" suit combined the agility of a motorcycle with the protection and armament of an early-war tank.
The suit was made up of partially cybernetic replacements, allowing the soldier mounted to the suit to carry up to a thousand kilogam and run or punch with similar force, alongside being able to mount most heavy weapons in the Federation arsenal, with several heavier variations of standard weapons being created specifically for armored infantry.
The "Ubersolden" suit saw heavy service during the war after its introduction in 27015 I.C, with the Federation offensives of late-27022 being possible mainly due to the effort of "Ubersolden'' divisions who power shocked Imperial infantry and cavalry. Because of its ability to carry heavy loads, engineer "Ubersolden" units were created, which found high success, able to go where regular engineers could not.
Type 5/6/7/8/9 Augmented Reanimations:
The Federation military had a shortage in many things. Bodies, however, were a resource they had no shortage in. The horrific massacres and war crimes perpetrated by the Federation military in Azjania and Terra Australis resulted in more bodies than could be counted, and one of the resulting goals of the Federation biowarfare program was to utilize these bodies in any way possible. Augmented reanimations, nicknamed "zombies" by Imperial soldiers, made up a huge percentage of the Federation military almost as soon as they were introduced with more than 80 million being deployed across Azjania and Ameryka from 27009-27029. Despite common misconception, only specialized variants of the type 9 could necrotize humanoids. However, a wound from a zombie could still prove to be lethal, with most zombies carrying various bacteria and pathogens, the threat of which pushed the Empire's medical industry ahead to introduce various antibiotics and medicine to military service.
Soshi-type (I-500 class) Interdiction-type submarine:
Grown out of a whale, the Soshi-type was highly advanced. The Soshi-type used an electrical arc reactor grown from an electric eel instead of the standard protein mix used by most Federation biological constructs, allowing for an effectively indefinite deployment period. The Soshi-type could dive to a depth of 7500 feet and travel at 99 knots and was armed with 6 x 533mm torpedo tubes (4 front 2 rear) which could also launch the infamous Type 9 (Firefish) submarine-launched missile and Type 8 (Firebird) surface-to-air missile.
Senshi-Class Sea-fortress
Grown from a giant sea turtle, a Senshi-class sea-fortress immersing itself from the water was a terrifying sight to Imperial personnel in the Spokojny. The Senshi-class combined a submarine, aircraft carrier, landing ship, and battleship in one giant body, and despite its high cost of production and low usage with only 12 grown, it was highly effective in countering the Imperial strategy of "island-hopping" with its ability to land a full garrison and launch an air wing anywhere in the Spokojny. Heavily armed, its standard armament was 2 x double 460mm cannons, 4 x triple 155mm cannons, 8 x double 40mm anti-air cannons, 4 x SAM launchers that could fire Type 7 (Tengu) surface-to-air missile, 4 x Type 7 lightning coils, 8 x 533mm torpedo launchers and 34 aircraft, generally dive bombers or fighters.
Type 6 landmine "Pueraria Rapax":
Nicknamed "Devil Weed" by Imperial soldiers, the type 6 landmine, known by the scientific name "Pueraria Rapax" remains a somber and deadly reminder of the war across Neo Ameryka and Terra Australis, claiming thousands of lives annually alongside the various birth defects caused by the aftereffects of its deployment despite the efforts of governments around the world. Designed as a deadly "reusable landmine" that could blend in with the terrain and asexually reproduce, the P. Rapax was highly successful, becoming one of the leading causes of death of Imperial soldiers in the Spokojny.
The plant blends into surrounding vegetation until organic organism steps overhead when several vines triggered by small hairs that line its appendages will burst out of the ground, paralyzing its prey with a neurotoxin before dragging the unfortunate victim into its "stomach" filled with acid. After dissolving the snared creature, which generally takes 5-6 hours, the P. Rapax will reset its vines and await its next meal. Able to self-propagate by releasing spores, the P. Rapax easily spread over Neo Ameryka.
As the war concluded, "Operation Pyrokinesis" was launched by Imperial forces to destroy remaining Federation biological munitions, of which one of the primary targets was the P. Rapax. The chemicals sprayed over the mountains and jungles of Neo Ameryka continue to be highly controversial and a sore point between several Neo Ameryka countries and the Holy Empire, and are still by far the leading cause of widespread birth defects in the continent.

La 41st, 26997 I.C, the day of infamy. The day of betrayal.
The Gra Valkas attack plan was remarkably simple, even crude, by comparison to some of the Federation's efforts in the early years of the war, even if it was bold.
The plan, which was unusually reliant on the intelligence from the Union considering the sites of the various attacks, was the first combat action of the Guti Maun super heavy bomber.
The Federation had spent several decade gathering the bomber force and more importanly the super large magic bomb Jibil that were used on D- Day and, by any measure, had developed a considerable force.
Nearly 2100 of the Guti Maun were involved in the attacks, launching from almost 20 airfields across Ameryka. Over 1400 of these aircraft, in 14 separate formations, were destined for Azjania.
The aircraft attacking the Azjania left the ground just before sunset on La 41st, 26997 I.C. Of the 1406 aircraft assigned to the mission 1368 actually were able to take off and proceed to Azjania.
Eleven of the assigned aircraft suffered mechanical failures on the ground, while seventeen suffered engine failure while still close enough to their launching points to successfully abort.
Surviving records also indicate that at least 60 bombers fell out of formation during the Spokojny crossing, never to be heard from again. The remaining Guti Mauns continued toward the Empire.
This was a one-way mission as the Guti Maun bombers formations would flight at maximum range to strike the heart of the Empire. The first strike was a resounding success.
All told, some 6,500 Jibil bombs struck the Empire, causing serious damage and claiming over 45 million lives, all but 6 million of them were civilians.
Gra Valkas also targeted the massive Imperial force in Beringia as part of the D- Day. Here, thanks to the Union's betrayal, all the passes in and out of Beringia were destroyed, trapping 20 million imperial troops in the mountainous valleys
Here the fighting was done at knife-fighting distances as close to 25,000 aircraft struggled for the upper hand agaist 150,000 wyvern titans. The Imperial force was heavily damaged as 700 Guti Maun super heavy bombers struck them with 3,500 Jibil bombs resulting in 15 million death. That was the worst military defeat in the Empire history.
By the time the last Federation aircraft retreated behind the flak curtain along the West Ameryka coast almost nine hours had passed. Even before the last Gra Valkas pilot had been debriefed, Sadera had made a decision to end things in the only way that was certain to work.
Europania and Ameryka would have to be invaded, the Gra Valkas Federation and those traitorous Europania Union would be met and utterly defeated in the battlefield. And thus began the Great Unification War that last for 32 years. Thanks to the overwhelming numerical advantage, the brilliant leadership of the Emperor and fanatical zeal of the Imperial army, Darwinian came out on top after an absolute brutal global conflict.
It was the worst conflict in the history of Falmart till now. A whole continent was damaged beyond repair, and more than 100 species and cultures were wiped clean off the surface of the world. Nearly a billion lives were lost, enough for Hardy to go on an orgasm for years. Over half of all the War casualties were in the Federation.
At the end, the Gra Valkas Federation was destroyed, so was the Europania Union. In the case of Gra Valkas, the Empire literally reduced it back to the stone age with virtually every adult elves were killed.
All non-titan species were driven to the brink of extinction, never posing to be more than a nuisance in the latter days.
Millennia of technologies were lost, as most of the elven scholars of the Federation died in the 'Final Solution'.
An unliftable shadow fell upon the surviving elves from the Gra Valkas Federation, who became increasingly isolated. Their Great Elven Empire splintered into a hundreds of tribes, wandering the land as leaves flutter in the air.
