The time has come for Gregory and Vanessa to go on the attack! To help free the rest of the Glamrocks from whatever was hijacking their usual programming.

Vanessa and Gregory soon exited the Fazer Blast zone, with the latter examining his new Faz Blaster. Vanessa looked at him and smiled.

"Alright, so you've got your Faz Blaster, and I've got my baton and taser. I think we should be good to go," she listed. Gregory nodded.

"Yup. Now I'll be able to defend myself in case I end up alone," he said with a smirk as he aimed his blaster ahead as if an enemy were ahead.

"Pew-pew. Hehe," he went. Vanessa smiled at him before they heard footsteps from nearby. Vanessa then guided Gregory to behind a big plant pot before peeking her head up to look at what was happening.

On the main floor was Chica, all by herself. She was shuffling along like a zombie, head, and shoulders twitching. Vanessa looked on as Chica soon stopped, shivering.

Chica continued to shiver as she slowly lifted her hands, looking at them with a shivering, sorrowful look. From her vision, her CPU was overridden by various computer commands, with one particular command taking greater precedence over the rest.

Search and capture Gregory.

Chica made a slight grunting noise as the memories of what had happened earlier came into her mind. Seeing the terrified look on Gregory's face made her feel guilty. The thing corrupting her programming was forcing her to act in such a violent way.

"I…I never wanted this. I-I just wanted to help," stuttered Chica as her hands twitched.

Vanessa saw and heard what the animatronic had said. She felt guilt growing in her heart, sympathizing with the poor chicken. Meanwhile, Gregory looked up at her and whispered,

"What's going on?"

Vanessa frowned before looking at the boy.

"It's Chica. I know you can't hear her, but it sounded like she's saying she didn't want to do what they did," she said before sitting back down. She sighed and gulped.

"Whoever made them like this, they'll pay. *sigh*" she mumbled. Gregory looked at her, frowning, before squeezing her hand in assurance. Vanessa smiled at this before she said,

"Okay. Listen to me. We're sticking with our plan. When we find Freddy, we're gonna lure her to the kitchen near the loading dock with the promise of pizza. When that happens, I'm gonna shock her with the taser and hope the resulting system reboot would snap her out of this,"

"Yeah. That's how it goes. I just hope that the S.T.A.F.F. bots don't let her know about our presence," Gregory said. Vanessa nodded.

"You're right. They shouldn't bother us, but stay close just in case, okay?" she explained. Gregory nodded, so Vanessa took his hand and slowly began to creep away from their hiding spot, leaving behind a twitching Chica.

Several security S.T.A.F.F. bots rolled along the grounds, searching for any intruders who might be inside the building. Vanessa kept a wary eye on them.

They shouldn't bother us with me around. But with how the robots are acting, I'm not holding my breath, she thought. Gregory had similar thoughts.

If that rabbit lady had tampered with the animatronics, then there's a chance she might've also tampered with these bots. Oh, boy, he thought.

The two humans continued to sneak past the S.T.A.F.F. bots. However, they didn't go very far before Gregory felt light shine onto his eyes. He groaned, shaking his head before he looked up to see one bot staring at them. He gasped just as the bot straightened itself up and emitted an alarm. The alarm was loud: being heard all across the Atrium! The noise snapped Chica out of her twitching trance. She turned her head to look at the source of the noise, seeing Gregory stepping back as Vanessa whacked the bot with her baton in a vain attempt to silence it.

Suddenly, when her eyes laid on Gregory, the corrupted computer within her soon took over as her vision went purple.

"There you are, Gregory," she suddenly croaked out as she charged to them. Gregory and Vanessa gasped as the boy grabbed his Faz Blaster.

"I think now's a good time to test this thing out," he said, aiming it at the robot. He pulled the trigger, and the laser struck Chica's eye! Chica immediately stopped as she let out squawking noises of pain, her vision sensors going haywire, just as Vanessa predicted. Vanessa looked at Gregory, then at Chica.

"Okay, maybe I could tase her now!" Vanessa said as she pulled out her taser and approached Chica rapidly. However, just as she prepared to shock her, she heard a gasp before she felt Gregory pushing her aside.

"Look out!" he said as something huge was tossed to where Vanessa was standing. Vanessa grunted as she looked at Gregory. Gregory pointed up at the third floor, and that's where Vanessa heard,

"STAY AWAY FROM HER!"

Vanessa gasped as she looked up to see Monty climbing onto a rail. She gasped and looked at Gregory.

"Come on!" she said, pushing Gregory away as Monty jumped, fists curled up before slamming onto the ground, causing a booming noise. Gregory looked back to see Monty standing up to look at the two of them. Vanessa roughly grabbed his shoulder and pulled him away, causing him to nearly lose his grip on the Faz-Blaster. For his part, Monty turned to look at Chica, who was slowly recovering from the stunning.

"Chica. Are you alright?" asked Monty. Chica looked at him and nodded, although she still seemed slightly spooked. Monty growled as he turned to look at the two running humans rushing up the stairs.

"You think it's cool to hurt my friends like that?! Oh, you're dead now, boy!" roared Monty as he rushed toward them. Gregory yelled in fear when they got to the second floor.

"Just don't look back, kid!" Vanessa ordered as she took him to the third floor. Monty leaped to the third-floor rails, swiping at the two humans and barely missing them as Vanessa and Gregory ran to the Prize Counter.

Vanessa and Gregory stopped momentarily to look for a place to hide as They could hear Monty climbing over the rails. Vanessa then had an idea. She took Gregory to the cashier's desk and pushed him underneath.

"Stay here. I'll lure Monty away from us," Vanessa said. Gregory gasped in surprise.

"B-But what-" Gregory began before Vanessa looked down.

"There's a security office nearby. I'll trap Monty there. Now stay down there!" she demanded before rushing away from the desk just as Monty ran inside. Monty looked around, spotting Vanessa waving her hands.

"Hey, over here, Monty!" she called out. Monty glared at her.

"You. All we wanted was the kid, but no! You had to make this difficult for us! And you went so far as to hurt Chica?! Now you're dead too!" Monty roared as he charged at her. Vanessa immediately turned around and ran from his grasp, running out of sight with Monty chasing after her. Gregory peeked his head up from the desk in concern.

Oh, Vanessa. Why did you do that?! Don't leave me alone! Gregory thought. He hoped that Vanessa would be able to make it in time.

Meanwhile, Vanessa rushed through the hall, pulling several desks to the path in an effort to slow Monty down. Monty slowed down, but only briefly, as he smashed through them like cardboard boxes.

Soon, Vanessa arrived at the office. With only a few seconds to spare, Vanessa began to type away at the office's computers to enforce a permanent lock-in command.

This should hold him in until the power here runs out, or he breaks the glass, she thought as the doors soon began to close. Vanessa ran to the other side of the door just as Monty charged into the room from the left door. Vanessa tossed some papers to Monty, causing them to envelop his face before the security guard dove under the right door just a few seconds before it closed. Once Monty tore the paper apart, he noticed Vanessa panting as she slowly stepped away. He growled and slammed onto the door and glass. From the outside, Vanessa could hear Monty shouting at her, but she didn't have time to listen. She instead ran off to find Gregory.

Vanessa soon returned to the main room and the desk, finding Gregory still hiding underneath. Gregory looked at her and sighed in relief as he crawled away from underneath the desk. Then, he hugged her again.

"I…I thought Monty got you. You scared me, Vanessa," Gregory said, voice quivering. Vanessa frowned and hugged him back.

"Sorry, bud. I didn't have time to explain what I was about to do. But don't worry: I'm here, and Monty's trapped in the office. But not for long. So, we should get moving. Okay?" asked Vanessa. Gregory looked at her and nodded, and so they left.

Soon, Vanessa and Gregory stopped at a restaurant on the floor below to recuperate. Vanessa and Gregory looked at each other briefly as they took a break. Not saying anything, Gregory decided to look at his Faz-Watch.

"I…am gonna call Freddy over. So that the others don't catch us off guard again. That cool?" asked Vanessa. Gregory nodded with a smile. So, Vanessa pressed a button on the Faz-Watch and switched to the "Walkie-Talkie" feature. Pressing the "Freddy" option, she began to speak into it.

"Freddy? Freddy, can you hear me?" she asked.

After a few seconds of a lack of response,

"Hello? Officer Vanessa, is that you?" Freddy's voice echoed. Vanessa's face brightened with a smile, and she began to speak into the watch.

Meanwhile, Gregory continued to fiddle with the Faz-Watch, eventually entering the "Message" feature. He raised a brow and began to read through some of the messages. The first few were nothing of note (although he had to keep in a big laugh when he read a complaint about a seven-year-old boy taking a "fattest flippin'" crap on the floors of Kid's Cove).

But with one message, one message caught Gregory's interest. It was titled Arcade Glitch - Princess Quest games I. Gregory raised a brow and clicked it. He read,

Three of these machines arrived recently, and I decided to give them a playtest. So far, things are normal; just playing as this girl while trying to get out of this dungeon area. This is only the first out of a trilogy, so there's not much to say about the plot. But a thing to note, and this is only my opinion, so ignore this if you want, but at the end of the game, the screen glitched, and there was a message at the end of this game that said, Let me go. Please. Don't know what this is for, but if it's part of the game, it's a cool way to get customers invested. - Luis.

Gregory raised a brow and hummed in intrigue. Then, he noticed another message just below with the title that read, Construction of Roxy Raceway - I. He read it, and it said,

I'm not sure why they'd want to construct Roxy Raceway AND the Glamrock Beauty Salon in such a place like this. This is above the "Forbidden Zone," and so there's a chance that such an enormous attraction like this could cave in underneath the weight until we could find a way to stabilize the-

"Gregory? Hey, Gregory!" Vanessa's voice made Gregory shake his head. He looked at her and blinked.

"Oh, sorry. You were saying something?" he asked. Vanessa smiled and nodded.

"Freddy's on his way. He'll help us!" she explained with relief. Gregory sighed and smiled as well.

"Great! Should make this a lot easier for us," he mumbled. Vanessa nodded before looking at his Faz-Watch.

"What are you reading?" she asked.

"Oh, just some messages about this place," confided Gregory. "Some are hilarious, like this one kid who crapped the floor on Kid's Cove,"

Vanessa chuckled at this, remembering it.

"Oh yeah, I remember. The dayshift guard saw it, and he said that the kid's parents have faces redder than a stop sign. Hahahaha!" laughed Vanessa. Gregory nodded before he continued,

"Yeah. Then there's this guy named Luis who played this game called Princess Quest. Do you know the game?" he asked. Vanessa's smile faltered briefly, and she nodded.

"Yeah. I've tried playing all three of them. These games are tougher than I thought. I think they may be glitched or something," she said, her voice showing fleeting signs of distress. Thankfully for her, Gregory didn't seem to notice, and he replied with a smug,

"Or maybe you're just not good at arcades games…or video games in general,"

"Hey!" Vanessa complained as she crossed her arms. Gregory shrugged his arms with a slight smile.

"Just telling the truth. Anyway, I was in the middle of reading this one about the construction of, uh, Roxy Raceway, and it mentioned something called the 'Forbidden Zone.' Do you know what that is?" he asked. That made Vanessa widen her eyes.

"What?" she asked.

"The, the 'Forbidden Zone.' Do you know what that is?" reiterated Gregory. Vanessa frowned as she looked at the message.

No one's supposed to talk about that place! She thought as she gently took Gregory's arm to look at the Faz-Watch. She looked at who wrote the message and grunted.

Colin, Vannesa growled.

"Vanessa? Are you okay?" Gregory's voice made her snap out of her thoughts. She shook her head and lifted his arm gently.

"Gregory. You weren't supposed to know about that. If this gets out, there's gonna be a lot of hell that Fazbear Entertainment is gonna raise. Do you understand?" she explained. Gregory was taken aback by this tone. When he did not respond, Vanessa tightened her grip on his arm. Not enough to hurt, but enough to get his attention.

"Gregory. Do you understand?" she asked, voice firmer. Gregory nodded rapidly.

"Yeah. Yeah, I understand," he replied, shock and a hint of fear in his voice. Vanessa looked at him for a while before frowning in shame.

"I-I'm sorry, Gregory. I didn't mean to snap at you like that," she said as she let go of his arm. Gregory pulled his arm away and looked at a guilt-ridden Vanessa.

"What's wrong, Vanessa? What's in that place?" asked Gregory. Vanessa looked at the floor as memories of what happened in the past flooded into her mind. She remembered the time when, under the control of Vanny, she tossed a dried-up husk of what appeared to be a six-year-old girl into an incinerator, followed by her pulling up a syringe carrying some type of liquid inside. Vanessa soon snapped back to reality again and looked at him.

"That's… that's a place where I found the body of the girl I told you about earlier," she said. Gregory grew shocked at this information. Vanessa nodded with a solemn look, and she took his hand.

"Please, Gregory. No matter what, DON'T go there. That area's blocked off for a reason. Okay, kiddo?" pleaded Vanessa. Gregory nodded, and so they sat there quietly for a few seconds. Gregory noticed how upset Vanessa looked, so he wanted to cheer her up. Gregory looked through his Faz-Watch to look for something funny. Eventually, he found a message about Dave and looked at Vanessa. He moved his arm up to Vanessa, causing her to look at the message, which was about how management caught Dave sleeping on the job while the game Galaga was said to be shown on his desktop.

Vanessa grew a smile and giggled.

"Oh, Dave. You're such an idiot," she muttered, making Gregory smile as well. That was they heard heavy footsteps coming up to the restaurant. They turned, slightly alarmed, before they recognized Freddy walking inside.

"Hello! I'm sorry I'm late. I was finishing up recharging my batteries when I got the call," explained Freddy. Vanessa relaxed and shook her head.

"Nah, no worries, Freddy. Just glad you could make it," she said with a smile. Freddy beamed as the two humans stood up.

"Alright. So, we ready to do this, guys?" asked Vanessa. Freddy and Gregory nodded. "Great. So, Chica should be…Ah, at the…Bonnie Bowl," Vanessa said while looking at her Faz-Watch. Freddy's face soon darkened into a frown.

"Oh. She's probably there for comfort," Freddy said. Vanessa nodded while Gregory looked between them, confused. Then, she sighed and took Gregory's hand.

"Just keep her distracted long enough. Then, when we're ready, we'll let you know, so you can take her to the kitchen near the loading dock. That good?" she asked. Freddy nodded, so Vanessa patted him on the arm.

"Alright, good luck, Freddy," she said. Freddy nodded before walking off, leaving the two alone again. As Vanessa took Gregory away from the restaurant, the boy looked up at her.

"Freddy looked upset earlier. Did something happen?" he asked. Vanessa frowned and looked at him.

"It's Bonnie Bowl. His friend, Bonnie, used to live there before he got decommissioned. I'll explain everything on the way," she assured as they walked to the elevator.

Meanwhile, in the Bonnie Bowl Area, Chica slumped into the area, knocking past some S.T.A.F.F. bots who were patrolling the area. She stopped for a moment when she arrived at the dining area. Twitching, she looked at the bowling alleys, seeing the bright and colorful area in contrast to her mood. Then, she looked at a small stage with closed curtains. There was a sign with a Helpy cartoon character next to it. It read

This attraction is temporarily closed.

Chica frowned as her hands closed into fists.

"Chica?" asked a voice. Chica turned to look at Freddy, who was walking into the room. Chica's eyes brightened in delight for a moment before returning to a frown.

"Oh, hi Freddy," greeted Chica. Freddy approached her and asked,

"Are you alright?"

"I wish. I…I don't know what's going on with me. I don't know if the others are feeling it, but it's like something's wrong with me. Whenever I see or hear that boy, something within me clicks, and I just go after him violently. I…I didn't mean to scare him. I just wanted to help him," replied Chica. Freddy frowned, ears lowering as he placed a hand on Chica's shoulder.

"I'm sorry, Chica. I don't know why you or the others are acting this way," he sympathized. Chica frowned as she then looked up at the curtain. She then got close to the curtain.

"I wonder how Bonnie would handle all of this. I remember how, other than yourself, Bonnie was the most approachable of us. Kids loved to go with him to either chat or play music with him almost as much as they did with you and me. I'm sure he'd help us get the boy to safety." she confided. Freddy nodded in agreement as he approached the curtains.

"I'm sure he would as well. I miss him," he replied as his ears dropped again, head lowering. Chica nodded as she leaned closer to Freddy. Freddy wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close to him. Freddy and Chica stood there for a while as Freddy remembered something from the past.

In the past, Freddy was inside an attraction, a horrified look on his face as he saw the mangled remains of a purple animatronic smashed up against the floor, with wires and bolts scattered everywhere. On top of the remains was Monty, who had a horrified look on his face as he looked at his quivering hands.

"B-Bonnie? Monty?"Freddy asked in fear.

Back to the present, Freddy's memory was interrupted by the mic in his ear.

"Okay, Freddy. We're ready," Vanessa's voice emitted. Freddy nodded.

"Alright," whispered Freddy before looking at Chica, who was still looking down. He then shook her shoulder gently with one hand, getting her attention.

"Hm?" went Chica.

"Do you want to come to the kitchen? I'm sure there's some leftover pizza there!" he offered. Chica's eyes soon lit up with intrigue, and she nodded.

"For real?! Oh, thank you, Freddy! I could sure use some tasty pizza to take my mind out of this!" she beamed, any sadness before gone at the thought of food. Freddy shook his head as Chica hugged and walked past him, chuckling at his friend.

"But you don't have a stomach or taste buds," he called out.

"Don't care!" Chica responded, making Freddy laugh before he followed her.

While this conversation was going on, Vanessa and Gregory were at the ground level of the Atrium. Thankfully, none of the other animatronics were there, so they had no worries about being caught. Walking past the pizza restaurant and entering a door, Vanessa soon walked into a large elevator designed to fit cargo of various sizes, mainly food. As the elevator lowered down, Gregory looked at Vanessa and asked,

"So, what happened with Bonnie?"

Vanessa frowned and looked at him.

"Bonnie was one of the old animatronics that was part of the original band three years ago. He was very popular with the kids for his approachability and humor, much like Freddy. However, he was not as uptight as Freddy, so that earned him a plus from me. But yeah, Bonnie was well-liked by everyone, guests and robots alike, especially by Freddy and Chica, who see him as something like a brother. However, a year before you came here, Bonnie visited Monty Golf one evening.

"I wasn't there to see it, but from what the other coworkers said, the sight was not pretty. Monty had smashed Bonnie into pieces. Freddy was upset when he saw the aftermath, and Monty insisted that he had no idea what had happened. Knowing the gator, he probably lost control of his anger. But this? Management felt that there was some hacking in Monty's CPU, possibly from saboteurs, but there was no evidence. Monty was kept in his green room for months, but they eventually released him.

"That's not all; when Bonnie was decommissioned, the higher-ups decided to discontinue using him, so they phased him out as if he never existed. However, kids wanted to know where Bonnie was, so they rethemed the bowling attraction in his name," Vanessa explained, voice growing quiet, a frown on her face. Gregory looked at her in shock as the elevator soon stopped and opened to the Kitchen prep area.

"That's…horrible," Gregory said. Vanessa nodded.

"Yeah. Freddy and Chica still talk to me about their times with Bonnie. Hearing about their times together makes me feel real bad for them," she said before looking ahead, seeing the kitchen prep. "Well, we're here. Let's get moving. The office is not far away,"

After a short period of walking, the two of them soon arrived at the place's security office. Vanessa then lifted her Faz-Watch, pressed a button, and spoke into it.

"Okay, Freddy. We're ready," she spoke.

"Alright," Freddy's voice said. Vanessa nodded as she turned on a computer that opened a screen that showed Helpy holding a pizza and a button that said, Order now. Then, Vanessa felt Gregory tugging her shirt.

"I uh, I wanna try and order the pizza," he insisted. Vanessa nodded with a shrug.

"Okay, why not? But I'm gonna help you figure out the controls, okay?" she insisted, which Gregory agreed to. The boy then pressed the ordering button, and a few seconds later, a voice from the computer announced,

Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex Quick Delivery Virtual ordering system. You have qualified for a free Supreme upgrade (Additional charges may apply). Let's get started.

Gregory smiled as the screen showed the point of view of a S.T.A.F.F. bot.

You are now in control of one of our pizzabots, a S.T.A.F.F. bot designed for making pizza. Follow the instructions on the left side of your screen as you prepare a brand-new pizza!

Gregory looked at the left side of the screen as instructed and noticed the ingredients needed: sauce, cheese, meat, not meat, and bake. He hummed as Vanessa leaned in from the side.

"You see the controller here? That's how you control the bot," she pointed out. Gregory smiled as he noticed.

"Thanks. So, where do I find these ingredients?" he asked.

"You gotta find the stations that drop the ingredients. They're labeled," Vanessa replied with a shrug. Gregory hummed as if to say, "Oh. Of course they are."

For a while, Vanessa instructed Gregory on how to control the bot and where to go. Gregory found the first two ingredients in order and placed them on the pizza dough. All the while, the voice on the intercom would continuously ask them whether they'd like to rate their experience, much to their annoyance.

Then, Vanessa's Faz-Watch alerted Vanessa, and she saw that it was Freddy.

"We're here," his voice called out. Gregory and Vanessa widened their eyes in shock.

"B-But we're not ready!" Gregory exclaimed. He was so shocked about this news that he wasn't paying attention to where he was driving the pizzabot.

Vanessa and Gregory heard the sound of something falling from the monitor. They turned to see the bot had accidentally rolled over some cleaning equipment, causing the pizza to be dropped and creating a mess. Gregory gasped in shock.

"NO!" Gregory shouted before he immediately covered his mouth. Vanessa gasped as well as she turned her head to look at the door to the office, which was still open. As if things could not get any worse.

"Is that a child I h-h-hear?"

It was Chica, and her voice echoed across the hallway. Then, heavy footsteps were heard throughout the hall leading to the office. Vanessa then heard Freddy's voice from the Faz-Watch.

"I can't stop her!"

This was all it took for Vanessa to take action: she rushed to the door and pressed a button to close it. Gregory gritted his teeth as Vanessa turned to look at them.

"Start over. And hurry!" she demanded. Gregory nodded as he moved the bot back to the first station. He returned to the station, where there was another frozen pizza dough. Picking it up, he returned to the sauce, cheese, and meat stations and got them onto the dough in order. Suddenly, the sound of heavy banging made him jump.

"W-What's going on?" asked Gregory.

"Focus! Just focus, kid!" demanded Vanessa. Gregory, however, could not help himself, and he turned, shouting as he saw Chica banging against the window and door, with Freddy next to her, trying to get her to stop. Vanessa noticed and shouted,

"Focus on the damn pizza!"

Gregory flinched at her yelling and turned his attention back to the delivery. Things went smoothly for the rest of the pizza making, and soon the pizza was dropped off at the oven. Gregory sighed in relief as the oven soon turned on.

"It's at the oven!" he said, wincing at the banging. Vanessa smiled and approached.

"Great. How long is it gonna take?" Gregory asked.

"These things shouldn't take too long to heat up. But the office batteries do not have long either. It's gonna be close, unless the bot can get here quickly!" Vanessa said as she heard the bangs growing stronger. Then, another sound of metal clanging made them turn to see Freddy sliding down against the wall.

"She's too persistent. I can't get her to stop!" Freddy said as he clutched his chest. Vanessa frowned, and Freddy could see the look of desperation on their faces. Then, an idea came into his CPU.

"I'll be right back! Hold on!" he called before rushing away. Vanessa and Gregory frowned, hoping that he would get here on time.

Freddy rushed into the kitchen, seeing the bot standing in front of the oven. As he ran forward, the oven soon opened up, revealing the pizza finished inside the box. Freddy beamed as he went and picked up the box before looking at the bot.

"Thank you. I'll take over from here!" Freddy thanked the bot before rushing back the way he came. The bot simply stood there and waved, wishing the bear had a fun time eating the pizza.

Soon, Freddy made it back to the office, and just in time, the door was beginning to open up, accompanied by shouts from inside the room. Freddy then reached his arms out and called out,

"Chica! We got pizza here! Just like you wanted!"

Chica stopped her assault and slowly turned her head; her eyes soon grew from a dazed look to a brightened look.

"Pizza? Oh, pizza!" Chica said as she charged forward. Freddy blinked in surprise and dropped the box, stepping back just before Chica could tackle him. Chica looked at the box excitedly and tore it open, revealing the pizza inside. She giggled before gorging on the pizza.

On the other side, Vanessa shielded Gregory as she got her taser out while the boy had his Faz Blaster out. They were just about to face Chica off when Freddy arrived at that point. Seeing Chica distracted, Vanessa activated her taser.

"Stay back, Gregory!" she said before she charged out of the office, grabbed Chica by the shoulder with one arm, and jammed the taser into Chica's neck. Chica let out a glitched squawking sound as her body twitched. Freddy and Gregory watched on in anticipation and concern.

After 10 seconds, Vanessa pulled back and stepped back to Gregory as Chica remained motionless. Then, there was a rebooting sound from the animatronic. Chica shivered for a moment before she blinked, lifting her head up.

"W-What? Freddy?" she asked as Freddy helped her up.

"Are you alright, Chica? How are you feeling?" he replied. Chica blinked, processing everything. When she was finished, she looked at Gregory, who held his blaster close, while Vanessa placed an arm around him, pulling him closer. The two eyed her warily. Chica stepped back slightly.

"Officer Vanessa. Kid. I, I'm so sorry about what I've done. I swear, I don't know what came over me. I would never," she began.

"Chica. Please, relax." Vanessa instructed, causing Chica to stop speaking. She then approached the animatronic carefully.

"What happened? What made you like this, Chica?" asked Vanessa. Chica lowered her eyes and replied,

"I don't know. I first felt that something was wrong with me when I noticed an image of this strange purple rabbit. I reported this to our caretakers, but they brushed it off, thinking I was still talking about Bonnie."

Freddy and Gregory grew sympathetic looks as Vanessa approached her.

"A rabbit?" she asked. Chica nodded. Gregory looked down and hummed as though his suspicions were correct. Vanessa looked at him, and Gregory explained,

"I think that rabbit lady might have something to do with this. I mean, if I knew how to hack and I'm a serial killer, then I wouldn't want to get my hands dirty,"

Freddy and Vanessa grew wary of this, while Chica grew confused.

"I'll explain everything later. Right now, Freddy, I need you to take her to her green room. Chica, make sure you don't let, whatever happened to you, happen again. Okay?" instructed Vanessa. Freddy and Chica nodded.

"No problem, Officer Vanessa." assured Freddy.

"I'll try. And Gregory?" Chica added, looking at Gregory. The boy tensed up and straightened himself.

"I'm so sorry again. I'd never hurt you. And thanks for helping to save me," she assured. Gregory, however, looked down and gulped.

"U-Uh…yeah, sure," he said hesitantly. Chica frowned, but she left him alone as Freddy guided her away. But not before he looked back and smiled.

"You did well, superstar," he cheered softly before walking off, leaving the two of them alone.

Vanessa sighed in relief, and so did Gregory.

"That's one down. Let's head back to Lost and Found and plan what to do next. That good?" she asked, looking down at Gregory. Gregory nodded, although he still looked in the direction they went. Vanessa looked between them and managed to put two and two together.

"Gregory. We talked about this. She'd never hurt you," she assured as she knelt. Gregory looked at her.

"I know. I believe you, but…after seeing her almost attack us. Had Freddy not been there," he began before Vanessa placed her hands on his shoulder.

"I know, Gregory. I know; I was scared too. But don't think like that. We made it! And she's free now! She won't be a bother to us!" she assured with a smile. Gregory looked at her and nodded, still unsure.

"I guess you're right. Also, at least she seemed happy. There's also Roxy and Monty, especially Monty, to worry about," he replied. Vanessa grimaced at the mention of the two, but she nodded.

"Don't worry. Let's head back, rest up, and plan on what to do next. That good?" she asked. Gregory nodded. Vanessa smiled and pulled him close to her, hugging him.

"And Gregory, you did great in making that pizza bait for Chica. I'm proud of you," she comforted, making Gregory smile. As Vanessa hugged him, she opened her eyes and looked into the office, seeing the monitors flicker. She then briefly saw something flash a few times.

It appeared to be a cartoonish yellow rabbit with a purple dress and tie. It tilted its head, showing a big smile before waving at her. Vanessa narrowed her eyes as she recognized the rabbit as the one that gave her the "Vanny" personality back when she played that damned V.R. game. Then, the rabbit pointed at its head. She closed her eyes and paid no attention, continuing on hugging the boy.

After a while, Vanessa pulled back and stood straight, taking Gregory's hand and walking away. She tried to get the memory of that yellow bunny out of her mind, but it did not work, only reminding her that Vanny was still in her mind, ready to take over.

Well…now that I think about it, she's been rather quiet lately. Oh, I hope she's not planning something, she thought.

"Oh, I'm still here. I'm just seeing how this goes. I love increasing my game's difficulty. Hmhmhm!" Vanny's voice popped into her mind, making Vanessa gasp, stopping. Gregory looked at her and asked,

"Are you okay, Vanessa?"

Vanessa looked at him and nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry," she assured. Gregory looked unsure but decided not to pursue this any further, so they continued walking.

"You can't keep this a secret forever, Nessie! Eventually, the truth will come out! Imagine the look of betrayal on his face when his hero plunges her knife into his neck. Oh, it will be beautiful," Vanny sighed. Vanessa's eye twitched, but she did not give in. Thankfully, Vanny did not speak again. She sighed in relief.

Oh, thank god. Just focus on freeing the others and getting Gregory safe, she thought as she gently tightened her hold on his hand, to which Gregory returned the gesture. She could only hope that Vanny, nor that yellow rabbit, would intervene in her plans.

AN: Hey, everyone!

I'm back with the first chapter of the New Year! I wanted to post this a few days earlier, but I wanted to figure out how this would go without bum-rushing it. Plus, there are a couple of reasons this took a while.

First, the upcoming DLC Ruin. I know this is like a Canon Divergent A.U. (or just a proper A.U. altogether because of how Vanessa behaves compared to the game) of Security Breach, but I feel a bit uncertain as to how this story will progress with Ruin potentially adding in new info to the story that could conflict with it.

The second and more important reason was how Chica and the others would be saved. It took me quite some time to figure out, but with Chica, it was eventually a simple one: pizza. Chica loves pizza! As for Roxy and Monty, I think I might have an idea, but I need to think more.

(And I definitely did not forget about the Daycare Attendent or D.J. Music Man! Totally not at all!)

There's also the usual stuff of other projects (including my Christmas with the Afton Family oneshot I wrote for Christmas), procrastination, spending time with family, the usual stuff.

Well, I think that's it! I hope you enjoy it, leave some criticism, and stick around for more!
