Back with Yuri and Patty, they started to look into some past cases after their cleanup from Ultraviolet. Looking back into a lot of accidental fire cases, they learned there was a small pattern between them.
"These scorch marks are like burns like sunlight through a magnifying glass." Barry informed the two of them.
"And in your CSI expert opinion?" Yuri asked.
"The fire was started using UV light rays." Barry confirmed. "Same way Ultraviolet attacked us, and the same weapons that...Death Locket attacked."
"This wasn't the only file I found." Patty said as she handed out a few more. "All of them involving accidental deaths and Joseph Carver."
"The guy who was just interviewed by the Daily Bugle?" Barry asked.
"I think we might have a mole inside CCPD." Yuri said as the two looked out the window. "Carter's pockets have been running deep so far. Governors, mayor, CEO's, he almost shut down a homeless shelter."
"We need to try and identify this Death Locket kid." Patty saw as an idea as she looked down at the photo on the board that they got on a security camera. "Maybe she can help us put a few of the pieces together."
Meanwhile, August was out of his uniform and was looking around the precinct and was greeted by Greer Grant, Patty's Panther, who was watching him just stand there.
"Can I help you?" Greer asked as she walked over to him.
"Hi, I'm August Heart. My brother is Jorge Heart, I was here to pick up his things." August explained and showed his ID to her.
Greer looked up and was a little hesitant, as she never knew Jorge had a brother, but also knew she didn't know him that well to not know he didn't have a brother.
"Sure, right over here." Greer said as she led him to his brother's desk.
But what she missed was August using his powers to zoom around the building in a blink of an eye and came back before anyone noticed. As he went around, he came across Patty's board that led his brother's killer back to Black Hole, and that the organization is somehow linked to Joseph Carver.
However, someone else was watching him in return. The Living Brain was watching everything and saw all was going according to plan.
Back with Anjelica and Zor-El in the Phantom Zone, Anjelica had started to get weaker due to her mental blast she sent our earlier as she limped around with Zor-El.
"Come. We must find a way out of here. It's swarming with Phantoms." Zor-El tells her as he moved as fast as he could with her.
"I'm slowing you down." Anjelica was sorry to say. "You can get out of here if you leave me."
"I'm not abandoning you." Zor-El promises her.
Anjelica then sensed something and saw a Phantom coming. "Look out!" She then pushed Zor-El out of the way before she was tackled and gets cut by the Phantom. "Ahhh!"
"Get away from her!" Zor-El demanded the Phantom as he picked up a pipe from somewhere and stabbed it in the back. "Ahn-Gel? Are you alright?"
Anjelica's eyes then started to become white as she saw more glimpses into the future.
"My point of origin was a thousand light years removed from Mars. I am from the planet Colu."
"We...are the Syndicate!"
"He's dying!"
"Are you proud of me, Dad?"
"You should have told me. We could have worked something out."
"Ahn-Gel?" Zor-El called our, bringing Anjelica back a little. "We need to keep moving."
"No...no...they're gonna die." Anjelica said as she got up and looked around. "If I go home, they're gonna die.
At Iron Heights, the guards were going about their normal routine and saw as it started to snow outside. The two guards at Yeh door looked out and were confused when they noticed that there's no sign of snow anywhere else.
"Snowing in the middle of spring?" The first guard asked as he looked to the second.
"I have a feeling something bad is about to happen." The second said as he got the gun ready, fitted with metahuman dampening Nantes that stop any meta from using their powers, but also allowing others to remove them if found innocent.
The first one followed when suddenly the glass windows behind them, built out of three thick bulletproof glass, were shattered and tossed a pile of snow at them.
That's when none other than Frost walked over them with a chuckle. "Hello, boys. I'm looking for someone. Cold, long white hair?" The guards looked up and were shocked at seeing the hero breaking into the prison. "What's wrong boys? Giving me the cold shoulder?" Sighing, Frost punched the guard and created a icicle to stab the other one in the leg. "Where's Killer Frost?"
Lois Lincoln was in her cell, trusting the plan that August had laid out for them when a blast hits the door and Frost walked in.
"Early patrol. You interested?" Frost asked.
Louis was shocked, but saw that August kept his end of the deal.
Outside the prison, Misty was wearing the Mysterio outfit and controlled the drones to use their abilities to create the illusion that this was all Crystal Frost's doing.
For some reason, Ashley wanted this, but she had no reason to question, saying that this would get her a bit of closure for something.
At the beachfront, people were having a good and normal day when something came out of the water, revealing to be a shark with feet.
People immediately freaked out and ran off as the shark's munch on thin air and their property they left as they ran off.
Frankie was luckily nearby, and when she arrived, she was confused at what she was seeing when seeing the walking shark. Miles was also nearby when he landed and turned to Frankie.
"Metalla." Miles greeted her, no idea how to talk to her even after they broke up two months ago.
"Oh, boy..." Frankie could see Tula's warning was coming true. And she didn't know how to act around Miles either.
The SuperSpider team have started their journey into the Phantom Zone in order to find and rescue Anjelica. Heather looked around and was amazed at what she was seeing.
"Your technology is incredibly." Heather complimented.
"Compared to your earths technological advancement, it must be." Brainy said.
Heather looked to Kara, feeling she was just called stupid. "Not to worry, he's like this to everyone. Not personal."
"Oh." Heather supposed.
As they entered the Phantom Zone, there was a quick flash of light and Heather groaned as she rubbed her eyes. Then she looked around and saw there was no sign of the others.
"Kara?" Heather called out as she looked around the room. "Hello?"
Walking down the halls, she wonders what happened to everyone when she ran into a face she never wished to see again.
Red Death.
"You!" Heather cried as she drew her axe. "What did you do to my friends?!"
"The same I did to your daughter." Red Death said with a laugh.
Heather cried as she ran up to him and swung her axe, only ending with her being sped at and shoved into the wall. She tried to pry herself free, but she doesn't have the strength and is being cut off from oxygen by the hand.
Red Death then raised his arm and lightning sparked off as he started to phase his hand. "Don't worry, you'll join your daughter very soon."
"No!" Heather cried as she tried to break free.
The SuperSpider team have started their journey into the Phantom Zone in order to find and rescue Anjelica. Kara rubbed her eyes and whipped the blinding flash from her eyes to see everything's fine.
"You okay?" Cessily asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Kara promised. "Just worried."
"We're here!" Peter cried as they saw that Anjelica was already right outside.
"I'm on my way." Kara said as she flew out of the ship and landed on the ground of the Phantom Zone.
Looking around, it's nothing like the memories, proving Brainy's point about the universes colliding. Looking down, she sees her daughter surrounded by Phantoms.
"No!" Kara cried as she shot out ice breath and heat vision at them all and ran up to find Anjelica dying. "Angel! Come on, stay with me, baby."
"Mom?" Anjelica asked and looked to see her. "Why didn't you save me?"
"I did, I'm here." Kara said as she cradled her child. "Stay with me...please..."
Just as soon as they've entered the zone, the team have all been rendered unconscious except for Peter, J'onn, and Brainy.
"Kara?" Peter called as he walked over and tapped her. "Skirt?"
"That was a bad one." J'onn said, getting Peter to look and see him at the controls, still awake. "The shields took a hit, but it looks like they've been pulled through."
"I wouldn't be too sure about that, J'onn." Peter called out as he turned around and saw that they were all unconscious. "What happened?"
"Bringing them into the Phantom Zone must've been too much for them." J'onn said as he jumped up and checked on them, seeing they were living their worst nightmares.
"I can concur." Brainy said, getting their attention towards him. "Our team has been compromised by the Phantom Zone. Seems they were unprepared for the dangers they would be facing."
"What's happening to them?" Peter wants clarified.
"They're living their worst possible nightmares." Brainy stated as he looked at them all and J'onn checked on Heather due to her being from another world.
"Why aren't the three of us affected?" J'onn wondered.
"It's possible your Martian psychology and psychic powers have safeguarded you, as well as Peter's psychic powers and higher brain functions." Brainy mentioned.
"Then what about Morgan?" Peter asked as he looked over to his sister who was indeed affected.
"Maybe it's due to you having a longer exposure to the Phantom Zone, as you've been exposed to it multiple times to banish foes, such as Morbius, meaning your brain unknowingly has protected you from it." Brainy took a guess as J'onn saw the others were all okay, just unconscious.
"And your Coluan nature is doing the same to you, I'm guessing." Peter guessed.
"Well, sort of." Brainy tied to explain. "My 12th level intellect allows me to compartmentalize my fear. But I assure you, I'm still very much feeling it."
"Then what do you see?" Peter was curious as to what scares Brainy.
"For me, this entire room is filled with...balloons." Brainy answered, confusing the two of them.
"Balloons?" Peter clarified.
To Brainy, he was indeed seeing dozens of balloons falling from the ceiling and landing all around the three of them.
"It's balloons, guys." Brainy said as he franticly looked around and poked a few balloons as they fell. "Balloon, balloon, balloon! Thin sheets of rubber holding in all that pressure, not knowing when to pop, balloon!" He then grabbed Peter and pulled him in close with a determined crazy look. "They must be stopped!"
"Okay...how am I only learning this about you now?" Peter asked, feeling there's a lot about this guy, even after all these years, he has yet to learn. "And why didn't you say anything at Anjelica's party?"
That's when there was something causing the ship to shake, and they see they're being surrounded by Phantoms.
"We're under attack. Shields are being breached." J'onn said.
"I'll go out there and hold them off." Peter offered.
"No!" J'onn stopped him. "Go out there and we lose you, we'll be right back in the same situation even if we do Anjelica."
"Then what do we do?" Peter asked when their unconscious Zenn-Lavian started to awaken.
"Uh..." Brainy looked over and they all saw he had finally awakened and put his hand out.
"What's he doing?" Peter asked when the board came through the walls of the ship and approached their friend.
The Silver Surfer then got onto the board and energy started to flow through the man. The three of them didn't feel there was anything wrong with this for some reason as they allow him to summon the energy, followed by a wave of energy that caused their friends to awaken with a gasp, followed by the Phantoms being pushed away.
The man looked over to them and nodded before flying off into the Phantom Zone.
"Where's he going?" Peter asked and looked to see that the computer was tracking him, and the Surfer was on a direct path for Anjelica.
REAL WORLD:
"This is incredible." Ollie said as he was looking around the cortex with a smile. "Tech beyond imaginable. Suits all rounded up right next to each other?!" He asked as he looked over to the dozens of suits that Spider-Man has created. "I think I'm in love."
Tina just chuckled at what she's seeing and looked to see that Armando and Violet were looking over his Steel Spider suit. But honestly, she's more focused on Ollie, as she actually thought she would need to keep this a secret
"He reminds me of Uncle Cisco." Tommy admitted, causing Tina to almost hurl.
"Why would you say that?!" Tina questions.
"I don't know." Tommy shrugged, seeing it as no big deal. "Because it's your first boyfriend."
"Oh, I'm just a friend." Ollie promised him.
"Good. Because if not, I'd kill you." Tommy said, trying to see if he could scare this guy, and his face was easily priceless.
"He's kidding." Tina promised him.
"Mostly." Tommy muttered.
"This suit...is gorgeous." Armando said as he felt up Ollie's suit. "Like...I wanna pull this apart and rebuild it."
"Please don't." Ollie begged him. "It took a lot of coding and work to put it together."
"And me doing most of the coding." Tina admitted.
"Wait. You found out a way to code our Spider-Senses?" Tommy asked his sister.
"Pretty easily. I did the same for that game they made about Dad." Tina admitted. "They called and said they saw my coding work from school. When I was five."
"How am I only learning this now?" Tommy questions his sister.
"Oh, I loved that game." Ollie admitted as he was looking into one of the Spider-Man masks he found on a table. "I love that black and gold Octopus suit he makes in the game later."
"Surprised that they decided to make Dad some penniless loser named Ben Reily." Tommy added on.
"Well, it wasn't like they were gonna actually make him Peter Parker." Tina stated, considering nobody knows who Spider-Man is.
Peter was in his labs working on a small present for Aster, due to the twins' birthday coming up and its usually always a bad day for him. He either has a lot of anxiety dealing with the fact he's around so many people, and a lot of pressure due to his successful older siblings and he's still in school.
So, a small gesture for him might just mean the world to him. When the kids were younger, they were given BB-8 as a sort of companion. So this time, instead of a droid based off of the sequels, he decided to create one based off of his favorite droid.
"Wow." Cisco said, scaring Peter as he looked to see him in the doorway. "What's that?"
"A gift for Aster, with their birthday coming I thought it be something nice for him." Peter explained as he finished placing the head of the robot on top of the legs.
"Is that BD-1?" Cisco wonders.
"Aster loved the little guy, thought it'd be cool if he had a droid of his own." Peter shrugged. "How's our shapeshifter?"
"Human. Seems she just has a few...unusual strands I've never seen before." Cisco shrugged as he sat down. "Said that Black Hole came after her."
"A half robot-human child, and they don't plan on stopping there." Peter was getting sick of this company and knew they needed to find the head and cut it off. "We need to find out what they want."
"Probably what all psycho company wants, money and power." Cisco said when Peter stopped working on the robot and looked over to Cisco, which then reminded him that Peter ran a company. "No offense."
"Some taken." Peter admitted when Frankie came stumbling in, carrying something inside a net and bag with Miles helping. "Hi?"
"Hey." Frankie sighed as she dropped the bag and they watched something squirm inside. "We got an aquarium somewhere?"
"You're not gonna believe it." Miles stated, believing this to be the craziest thing they've come across.
Carolyn woke up and looked around her cell, trying to find a way out when she noticed there were a few other cells with people inside. There were a few dozen cells around with nothing around, but only a few of them had people inside.
Electro and Sandgirl.
Keemia Alarado was trying to punch her way out using her powers, ashamed how easy she was captured.
Francine Frye groaned as she was laying down and watching the girl constantly trying to break out. "You've been at that for days, are you done yet?"
"Not until I finally get out!" Kemmia cried as she tried to break out with a giant wrecking ball.
"Don't mind her." Francine tells Carolyn. "So, who are you?"
"Apparently my resonated name is Lady Octopus." Carolyn said as she looked around, trying to use her arms, but finds they've been shut down inside the cell.
"Lady Octopus?" Keemia asked with a scoff. "Are all enemies starting to become females now?"
"What, you think girls can't be the bag guys?" Carolyn asked sarcastically and felt around the cell and found a small port. "They all have to be males?"
"What are you doing?" Francine wonders.
"This." Carolyn said as she plugged in a flash drive that then hacked into the systems and opened her cell. "I'm actually here for you people."
"Us?" Keemia questions.
"Yep." Cronyn said as she walked up to Francine's cell. "How do you feel about getting out and meeting with someone who wants to get back at those heroes? And maybe even make you more powerful?"
"Well, I'm interested." Francine said, interested in hearing the full story outside of the cell.
"Good." Carolyn said as she opened the door for her to walk out. "And if his math's correct, the heroes will be busy for a while in a minute."
"With what?" Francine asked as they walked over to Keemia's cell.
"Their shark problem." Carolyn answered.
The team all looked as it seemed Frankie has brought in...a shark with legs. They placed said shark in the simulation room and created a fake pool for it to swim around in as they examined it.
"It...kinda looks like a puppy with a tail." Violet commented as she walked up to the glass and the shark swam around eating the fish that they tossed in it to keep him happy.
"It's kinda cute." Armando admitted.
"Yeah, in the same way that a snake is cute and deadly." Ralph stated.
"King Shark." Barry sighed and looked to Peter. "You have a plan?"
"Well, my original thought was that we call in Kara and I-S, but since they're gone...Plan A is out the window." Peter sighed and really didn't wanna go to Plan B.
"So, what's was Plan B?" Tula wonders. "King Shark won't go down without a fight."
"And that's exactly what we'll give him." Peter said and looked to Barry. "I need a ride to ARGUS. We're gonna recruit Connors."
"The Lizard?" Tina asked.
"Yes, and while we do that, you all need to evacuate the beach surrounded areas." Peter told the other adults and kids the plan.
"On it." Crystal assured him.
"Armando, we might need you for our return trip." Peter said as the boy joined them and activated his suit to become Mecha-Vibe.
"Let's go." Armando said as Barry sped them off.
When Barry and Peter arrived, it took a few strings to be pulled, but they were allowed to make their way in to their offsite near Central City and walked into the room with three thick walls and steel door where they see the Lizard in a cell in the middle of the room.
"Curtis Connors." Peter said as he removed his mask, this universe Lizard learning who he was a long time ago. But then he saw the lizard didn't respond and knew he only responded to one name. "Lizard."
"Peter Parker." Lizard was surprised to see as he turned to face him. "Never thought you would come down to see me again. The last time I saw you, you said you'd only return if you discovered a cure to save me."
"I'm trying, Curt." Peter was sorry to come back here without a cure for him.
"But we need your help." Barry tells him, crossing his arms.
"Help?" Lizard asked and looked over to him. "Help you with what?"
"King Shark. He's coming to attack Central City with an army of land sharks." Peter explained to him.
"And why would I want to help you?" Lizard asked as he looked away from them.
"Martha." Peter answers, getting Lizard to physically shake and turn to face them again.
"Why did you say that name?" Lizard asked with a snarl.
"You still care about her, right?" Peter asked as he walked over to the cell. "King Shark wins, she dies."
Lizard stomped over and snarls at Peter against the glass and Peter eyed him down as well. The two stood there for a moment, waiting for the other to snap. He then backed away and looked around his cell.
"If I do this, you assure me that she's safe." Lizard demanded.
"Deal." Peter promised and looked to Barry.
Dawn sped across the beach and was evacuating everyone whilst the Sharks came out of the water. Tina and Tommy were helping Crystal keeping them back by freezing the top of the water in order to keep them there. But their feet seem to also have claws on them due to the fact they're able to walk along the ice.
"Why am I even surprised at his point?" Tommy asked as he blasted a bunch of them back with his ice. "I mean, sharks emerging from the water and attacking the city. I should learn to say is it Tuesday already?"
"This happens that often?" Violet asked as she flew across the ground, giving them cover using the sand.
"Almost weekly." Daniel was sorry to say as he stretched out to grab a child before he could get bit on. "But this takes the cake."
"How did King Shark even get these?" Tina was curious to learn as she blasted a wall of ice.
Tommy was tackled on by a shark, causing him to shriek and react by holding it back. "Come on!"
Then he was immediately saved by Tula who summoned water to smack it off him. "You're welcome."
"Thanks." Tommy said as he got up and looked over to the shark. "I'm gonna put some dirt in your eyes."
That's when they saw a wave coming in and saw King Shark himself coming out of the water, revealing to be different than the King Shark then the one that they once knew. Instead of having a look similar to a Great White, he now looked similar to having a head from a bonnethead or a hammerhead.
Roaring at them, the cold based heroes ran in to freeze him, but it seemed their ice had no effect on this shark as he charged through it.
Karen came flying in and went to punch him, but it ended with her being literally backhanded by a shark and sent flying. She flew into a building, causing a build board to fall and about to crush innocent civilians.
Flying down, she quickly caught it and looked down at the people who were shocked to see another Super themed hero.
"Who are you?" One of them asked in shock.
Karen looked up and thought for a moment for her name, as she didn't want to be just another Super-insert gender and age here. "Powergirl." She then thought of something with the billboard and flew off with it to help.
Karen flew and smashed the board into the ground, causing a wave of sand to fly and consume the beach, blinding all of the sharks. That gave everyone the time to fight and take them all back to the ocean where Atlantean guards were even helping after Tula somehow got word out.
King Shark was about to charge at the heroes when a breach opened up and Barry came in with Peter as they saw the portal close.
"Where's Mecha-Vibe?" Violet asked as she used her powers to create portals to evacuate everyone.
The two didn't answer and looked upward as they saw another portal opened above them and Lizard came flying down and landed on the sand. Eyes closed, tail around his head when they opened, the tail slinking through the sand before reaching behind him.
Snarling at the King, Lizard smiled and saw this was going to be fun. "Idiot. If anyone's going to mutate people, it's going to be me!"
King Shark roared at him and charged at him, followed by the Lizard charging in when Wade suddenly appeared with a beach chair and popcorn. "Big CGI fight coming up!"
The two ran in and collided with one another, being equal in size Lizard used his evolution and his tail to swipe Shark, causing him to slip on the sand and fall. Lizard leaped on top of him and go to attack him, using his claws that were slowly growing out of his hands to slice at his chest. But King Shark used his strength so that all Lizard could do was cut his skin, proving he at least could.
The heroes saw Connors had this covered and ran to protect the people from the sharks that found their way to the sewers and coming out of the manholes everywhere. Shark then kicked the Lizard off of him and run for it.
But Lizard saw he was trying to escape and again used his tail to wrap around his neck and slam him into a food truck nearby. Shark then used that to his advantage as he took the truck and slammed it into Lizard.
Lizard looked and was blinded by the reflective surface when he saw King Shark coming in order to bite him. Lizard shielded himself using his hand, but that actually ended with Lizard losing his hand to Shark's stomach.
Lizard cry in pain as he watched his hand slowly start to regrow, this time stronger than the last one. His fingers being sharper than before, he used it to cut Shark's face, also backhanding him into the street.
Shark flew and landed into a taxi when Lizard leaped and stepped on his head, crushing it further into the car. The other heroes just did the best they could to avoid casualties while the two of them duked it out for who's the strongest.
But it seemed that answer came quicker than expected when Lizard then picked up the taxi again and constantly smashed Shark in the head, until he was finally rendered unconscious.
Miles then came in swinging after making it across the city with Frankie and were both disappointed.
"Come on! A fight between Lizard and King Shark and I don't even get to see it?" Miles cried in disappointment.
Lizard then snarled and nodded to the heroes as Armando opened a portal to his cell.
PHANTOM ZONE:
Anjelica was curled up and sorry for what she had seen. She saw a terrible future, and now she was ing to bring that future to light because she wasn't there.
"Ahn-Gel." Zor-El got her attention as he kneeled down and held her hand. "We have to keep moving."
"What's the point?" Anjelica asked. "There's no way out. I dragged you out of your one safe place and pulled you across the Zone." She then laid back and cried. "I was stupid to hope. To think I can fix anything."
"Hope is what this family stands for." Zor-El told her and moved a piece of her hair out of the way. "You have more hope than I've ever seen. You can fix this. You fixed me. Gave me hope. I cried thinking I would never know if my work, my sacrifice, was worth it. But now I see my daughter has made a life for herself, and my granddaughter right in front of me. You filled me with your spirit, love, hope. Even if your family never finds you, we'll find a way out."
Anjelica's eyes then returned to normal when she looked up and saw something. "Uh, grandpa...what's that?"
Looking up, Zor-El saw there were more Phantoms coming for them. "Oh, no."
That's when Anjelica got up and got ready to fight back, but before she could, a silver wave came in and took the Phantoms down.
Flying down, they saw the Silver Surfer flying down towards them. The two began to get defensive when they saw the Tower flying towards them.
"What?" Anjelica was suddenly filled with hope and tears when she saw something exit and fly down what landed was none other than Kara herself as she looked and was shocked at not only seeing her daughter, but also seeing her father.
"Dad?" Kara asked in shock.
"Kara." Zor-El was happy to see his daughter as Peter came down and saw them.
"Let's get the two of you out of here." Peter said, seeing the two through the cameras.
"Dad!" Anjelica was happy to see the two of them as she ran and hugged both parents.
When they returned to the tower, everyone was happy to see her alive and well as they hugged Anjelica and she saw the Silver Surfer again.
"Thank you." Anjelica told him.
The Surfer smiled and gave her a nod as she was led to the medical bay.
"Brainy, get us home." J'onn asked as they're then piloted out of the Phantom Zone.
REAL WORLD:
Tommy was holding an ice pack to his head after the fight and learned the shark did do a small bit of damage to his head. They cleaned up the Shark attack, and everyone returned to the labs to be checked up on by May. Caitlin would've been there, but she was finishing the presents for the twins, and knew she needed to find a better hiding place as the twins always manage to find where they hid them.
"That was some great work out there." Tula congratulated as she walked over and sat down beside him. "You handled yourself pretty well for a guy who was bit by a shark.
"Well, more like I was tackled like that time I went to a football game." Tommy admitted, earning a giggle. "So...you are heading back to Atlantis now?"
"Actually, I'm going to be staying around for a while longer." Tula admitted. "Talked it out, my folks say that they think working with others my age might be good for me."
"Really? Sweet." Tommy said with a smile.
Tina then ran into the room out of breath. "Guys! You have to see this!"
They followed her back into the room and saw the news was reporting on Crystal breaking into the Iron Heights and breaking Killer Frost out.
"What?" Cisco asked in shock.
"Isn't that...?" Maggie asked and looked over to Frost.
"What? Don't look at me." Frost stated, no idea how that's possible since she was with them all day.
Barry was currently back at CCPD, looking over the cases that were caused due to the sharks. But then he looked and saw that there was something on his cameras. Due to their identities, they set up cameras to alert them if there was anyone with powers looking around their locations.
When he opened the file, he was surprised to see someone speeding around copying everything to do with Black Hole. Peter was right, this guy couldn't be trusted.
"Hey, Barry?" Greer asked and got his attention.
"You're friends with Peter Parker and his wife, right?" Greer asked him.
"Yeah, why?" Barry asked when he followed Greer out and saw there was a argument going on between Yuri and someone else. "Who's that?"
"Says her name is Kristen Kramer." Greer answered. "Brought in due to the break in at Iron Heights."
"Break in?" Barry asked, the first he's heard of it.
"Killer Frost was set free by Crystal." Greer scoffed, not believing it for a minute.
"And she's here, why?" Barry was worried to know.
"An anonymous tip came in on who Crystal Frost is." Greer said as she almost laughed at the thought. "Get this. Its Caitlin Snow."
Barry felt his entire body (ironically) go cold as a shiver went down his body at hearing that. "Wait-she...what?"
"Yeah, I know. Right?" Greer asked with a laugh. "Getting a whole Anti-Meta taskforce for the husband of the most powerful man in the city."
Barry looked and knew he needed to get a word out to the team but couldn't just run back without causing suspicion.
They were on their own.
Aster walked back into the home and saw Catilin in the kitchen cooking, no sign of his siblings anywhere. Which is expected after what he saw on the news.
"Hey, honey. How was your date?" Caitlin teased him the first moment she got.
"It wasn't a date. Carrie just informed me that she broke up with Karl." Aster stated.
"And then he asked her out!"
"And...I invited her to the party. Is that okay?" Aster wonders.
"Of course!" Caitlin promised him. "Why would I have a problem with it?"
"Just...you know, making sure." Aster said as he walked off and went to his room. Once inside, he went to his pills and was about to take it when he thought about it for a minute. Deciding to not take it, not knowing that wasn't his own decision, he put it down.
It was nearly time for the others to show when Caitlin was startled by a stiff knock at the door. "CCPD, you're surrounded!"
Bewildered, Caitlin stopped working on dinner and hurried to the door and opened it up and saw that on the other side stood none other than Kristin Kramer.
"Caitlin Snow, I have a warrant for your arrest," she announced, holding up a white envelope as she invited herself into her home.
"What's the charge?" Caitlin demanded, turning away from her open doorway to follow the other woman.
Kramer ignored her and pulled up her radio. "Kramer to Task Force command, hold your positions around the permitter and prepare for prisoner transfer."
"What?" Caitlin squawked, no idea where this is coming from.
"Are you alone, Dr. Snow?" Kramer asked.
"No, I have a...nephew who just came home." Caitlin answered, getting confused on who knows who is who's kid in this family.
Kramer nodded shortly. "Then I would suggest you call his parents or relative or someone who can look after him."
"I-I think there's been a mistake," Caitlin said, head spinning. She turned and was surprised to find Yuri Watanabe standing behind her. "Yuri? What is this?" There was then another woman standing beside him, unfamiliar. "Who are you?"
"I'm Renee Carpenter. I'm a clinician with the MHE Team."
"Mental Health Evaluation?" Caitlin pushed her hand back through her hair.
"Yes ma'am. It's standard procedure. I'm just here to help."
"Yuri, what is going on?" Caitlin demanded.
Yuri, face pained, held up a pair of metahuman cuffs. "Would you turn around, please?"
When Caitlin turned around and put her hands behind her back, Caitlin clasped the meta cuffs to her wrists.
"Killer Frost," She said, and Caitlin's face creased with confusion and fear, "you're under arrest for aggravated assault, attempted murder, and two counts of kidnapping. You have the right to remain silent..."
Out in the distance, Ashley looked at everything and had a grin to rival the Cheshire cat. Part 1 of the plan had finally come to a close.
"You're a little too happy about this, you know that." Mayhem informed her as they watched the arrest. "You know that's technically my mother we just framed?"
"But also technically isn't." Ashley replied. "I know it's hard, but this is all part of the plan. We're going to tear this perfect family apart."
"The three of us?" Mysty asked.
"There's more of us." Ashley said when they heard mechanical whirring and turned to see Carolyn return with Sandgirl and Electro. "Took you long enough,"
"Well, the mutant shark took his time with making his appearance." Carolyn defended as King Shark was also in on the plan. Just not the part where he was a pawn in the game.
"What's the next step?" Sandgirl asked. "We make a fun name for this group?"
"Next step...we let the family squirm for a while." Carolyn answered and pulled up her wrist. "Because when the time is right, we will recruit our final member." She then pulled up a photo of Aster and surprised some of them. "He has a darkness that's about to be released on the world."
"And while we wait, we watch as Killer Frost and Godspeed send them in circles to find out more about Black Hole." Ashley said.
"Speaking of which, wanna meet the man in charge of it?" Carolyn asked as its time they met the Living Brain.
One of Hell's Kitchen's greatest lawyers was in his office when his phone started to ring.
"Peter. Peter. Peter." His phone rang and Mathew Murdock knew that something was wrong again.
