With everything finally done, they had the time traveler Cable arrested and put into a containment unit in the Pipeline under STAR Labs. He was put there before the team could get more answers from him, but he didn't seem cooperative without his guns.
"Did everyone make it out okay?" Peter asked the heroes in the cortex.
"Everyone's good," May assured him. "Cait, your parents went back to their hotel to calm down, promised to stop by the house later to catch up."
"Thanks." Caitlin was happy to hear her parents made it out. "What about our time traveling visitor?"
"He's being interrogated by Matt and Barry. Hopefully, they can get something out of him about why he's here."
"What about Aster?" Frost asked, worried for her son.
"The kids will find him and bring him back," Peter assured her as they looked down at the monitors and watch the interrogation.
Cable was staring down at his bear attached to him and looked back up to Barry, Wade, and Matt, who were waiting for him to answer their questions.
"You said you're from the future?" Barry started to try and get some answers from Cable, only to earn a grunt in return.
"Why did you try and kill Aster?" Matt asked, hearing his heartbeat, which he was able to distinguish from his mechanical parts.
"Because I was trying to save the future." Cable replied. "The future is a wasteland of hell and death. War has waged across the four corners."
"What does Aster have to do with any of this?" Barry wondered.
"It's him who starts it." Cable answered with a snarl. "We don't have a lot of time. Aster is about to finally transform."
"Into what?" Matt asks.
Aster and Carrie ran as far from the place as they could until they dropped into an alleyway from exhaustion. Aster started to shake as he looked down and noticed there was ice at the tip of his fingers.
"What?" Aster asked in shock.
"Hey." Carrie pulled him over and saw he was freaking out. "It's going to be okay."
"How is it going to be okay? I'm currently being hunted by some madman." Aster reminded her as he got up and started to circle around himself. Something he did when he was nervous.
"Yeah. And your superhero family will hold him back, and most likely beat him." Carrie stated as she got up and walked over to him. "All in all, not my worst first date."
Aster immediately froze at that and turned to face Carrie. "Date?"
"Well, that's what this was, right?" Carrie asked, feeling like she had a good read on the whole situation.
Aster had no idea what to say, and either his inner voice became very quiet, or he was just as shocked.
Carrie laughed and noticed he was scared of what to do next, and she leaned in as she pecked him on the lips. That action just made Aster even more speechless, no idea what to even think or say."
"Wow." Aster finally found his voice again.
"What he said."
Carrie chuckled as quietly as she could and then wondered something. "Was that your first kiss?"
"If we leave out from family members, yes," Aster admitted.
"You had to say that? Why did you say that?"
"I don't know why I said that to you," Aster admitted and had no idea where to go from here. "Is it possible to ask for another one? Just to make sure I can process it?"
"You could have just asked," Carrie said jokingly and leaned in again.
But before they could kiss, there was an interruption, in the form of a bully.
"Well, well, well," Karl called out, causing them to look and see him and two of his buddies walking over.
"Oh, god. What the hell? He's back?"
"Look at what we have here," Karl commented as his friends moved Carrie out of the way and kept the two of them away from one another as Karl circled Aster like a shark.
Dawn had just started running back from STAR Labs and met up with the other kids, still looking for Aster. But due to them needing to cover more ground, they thought it would be best if they would use their suits.
"Someone asked where their super suit was?" Dawn asked as she tossed the team their bracelets that contained their suits, thanks to nanotechnology.
"God, Dawn, that movie is forty years old," Tina commented.
"And is still one of the best-animated movies," Dawn replied.
"That's what you said about Brightburn," Armando informed her as he put his bracelet on and his Mecha-Vibe suit formed around him, and the glasses formed in his hands, allowing him to put them on.
"Oh, god. I remember the look on my folks' faces when you showed me that movie." Anjelica said as she looked at Roberta.
"Well, if I had known she was Supergirl, and her cousin was Superman, I'd understand why they didn't want us watching that." Roberta defended herself.
"That wasn't the reason." Anjelica informed her.
"It wasn't?" Roberta asked.
"We were eight." Anjelica reminded her of the age they were when they saw that movie. "They thought there was something wrong with you."
Roberta then remembered that clearer and understood them. "Okay, point made."
"Guys," Tina called them out. "Can we focus on the issue at hand?"
"Right," Anjelica remembered as her suit finished forming around her. "What's the plan?"
"Okay. We need to split up." Tina stated and looked to Karen. "Powergirl, you and Anjelica go and fly around the city, search for keywords. Carrie, Aster, time traveler."
"Got it," Karen promised.
"You can count on us." Anjelica nodded in confirmation.
"Violet, you, Armando, and Maggie scope out the areas we know he would most likely go," Tina said as she looked to the teleporter and shapeshifter. "Cessily, you and Tula start from the edges of the city near the party and work your way out."
"Understood," Tula confirmed and looked at her liquid metal partner.
"Dawn, you're the fastest of us all. So, you run around, leave no stone unturned." Tina asked of her.
As she continued to list their jobs, all of their senses went off, alerting them of another presence. They all got ready for a fight and looked around to where the threat could be coming from when Ollie spotted someone on the roof.
"Who's that?" Jordan asked them when they all noticed the figure.
Ollie quickly activated his flashlight function, which looked like some sort of Spider signal. When they got a good look at who was looking down on them, they noticed it was no other than Tina's clone.
They all aimed their weapons as Tina-2 shot a web down onto the roof she was standing on and dropped off to meet them on the ground.
"Easy," Tina-2 told them as she raised her hands to put them at ease. "I come in peace."
"How did you know where we were?" Jordan asked.
"We always meet up here," Tina-2 stated as she gestured to the alley of the pizza place that they would always hang out at.
"Right. All memories." Tommy understood.
"What do you want?" Tina-1 asked her clone.
"To warn you," Tina-2 stated as she put her arms down and started to walk to the heroes, only for them to flinch and aim all their weapons at her again. "If I wanted to attack, I wouldn't have been hiding up there."
"She's got a point," Daniel said, putting his fists down.
"What are you here to warn us about?" Maggie asked her.
"Our parents. All of our parents. They're going to die." Tina-2 stated, causing them to freeze.
"We don't have a lot of time; Aster is about to make his first kill." Cable warned them in his cell.
"No offense, but if you have all of this information, then why don't you go back a little further, kill him as a baby?" Wade asked. "Or is it because the author hasn't written that point of time yet and didn't want to solidify that part? Better yet, go back a little further, kill baby Hitler."
Cable then showed his fist, revealing a device that looked like an advanced extrapolator attached to a watch and clock. "I use this device to travel through time, the longer I travel, the harder it is to pinpoint the location I'll land in.
"Well...that's just lazy writing," Wade commented.
"Your boy is going to reveal his true nature tonight, and when he does, he's going to kill someone." Cable informed them. "Someone he loves. Someone who loves him and thinks they can talk him down." He then started to approach the cell door. "And afterward, he gets a taste for it. And keeps killing and killing. Until he kills the wrong people. My people." He then started to tear up and looked away. "It was my fault...I was supposed to stop people like him. I came close to finishing him off a few times, and he didn't like that. He wanted to hurt me and knew exactly how to do it. He came into my home...and took away the only thing that made it home. Sound familiar?" He asked, looking towards Wade.
Everyone in the cortex was shocked to hear in the future, Aster had already killed someone tonight. Peter started to make his way out to warn the kids when the elevator shut down on him.
"Gideon, what's wrong with the elevator?" Peter called out.
"Oh, there is nothing wrong..." Gideon said, in a spooky and ominous voice. "...Parker."
Peter immediately froze and looked at the button and recognized the voice. "Otto?"
Gideon's face in the middle of the cortex glitched and was revealed to be Otto Octavius. "You didn't think a minor inconvenience like death could stop me, did you?"
"Death is a minor inconvenience?" Jessica asked. "I miss the days where it was permanent."
"You and me both," Sara commented.
"What's the plan now, Otto?" Frankie wonders. "Take over our computer systems?"
"We can fly out of here, you know." Clark gestured to Peter-IS, Kara, and himself.
"Can you?" Otto asked and the room was revealed to be lined with Kryptonite and lead.
"Why?" Kara asked in an angry tone.
"In case an evil army of Kryptonians ever showed up!" Peter defended and looked to Clark. "Morgan Edge?"
"Point taken." Clark supposed that was fair enough.
"Come out to the coast, we'll get together, have a few laughs." Cisco quoted in fear of what was going to happen now.
"That's not Aster." Wade defended the kid. "That doesn't have to be."
"If you knew what I knew..." Cable stated, but Wade stopped him.
"Yeah, he's got a learning disability and the second voice in his head, but he doesn't have anything that can't be fixed," Wade stated, knowing there's hope for the kid.
"If you could go back and stop the people from taking your girl, would you?" Cable asked him.
"Of course, I would," Wade stated, no questions asked. "But I wouldn't kill a kid."
"I'm not asking you to kill the kid. I'll kill the kid." Cable stated. "I'm asking you to save hundreds of other kids. Aster needs to be stopped, and I have a feeling your girl would want you to do what's necessary."
"Guys!" Cisco came running down to them. "We've got a problem."
Tina-2 had just finished warning the kids on how the Syndicate, what the supervillains are calling themselves, are planning on going to take down STAR Labs while Otto Octavius used their security defenses against them.
"What kind of defenses are there?" Ollie asked Tina, Tommy, etc.
"Enough to keep all of them powerless until the lockdown is lifted." Tina was sorry to say.
"So, the threat is real, but how do we know she's telling the truth?" Karen asked.
"I joined this team trying to find a purpose in life," Tina-2 explained to them. "But after I saw what they plan on doing to everyone that we care about to get back at us, I knew I couldn't stay with them. I love my family."
"You think she's telling the truth?" Dawn asked as she looked towards the twins.
Tommy looked at Tina-2, looking deep into her eyes, and knew that everything was true. He knew what Tina looked like when she was lying. She was terrified.
"She's telling the truth. She's being sincere." Tommy confirmed.
Tina looked to her clone and sees they needed to trust her. "Okay. So what do we do?"
"Split up. Aster's a part of their plan." Tina-2 told them. "Half of us going after the Syndicate, others go for Aster." She then held out a location that was actually tracking him
"We can take care of that," John said as he looked to his brother and Dante as he took the device from him.
Karl punched Aster, sending him flying and crashing into the bins in the alley.
"Karl! Stop!" Carrie demanded as Aster slips and falls down. "Leave him alone!"
"Just got discharged from the hospital after your freak of a sister paid me a visit," Karl said as he marched over to Aster.
Aster suddenly grew angry from hearing that insult to his sister, grew angry and his constant torment, and felt something rise in him.
His eyes glow blue, his hair turns completely white.
It happened.
Getting back up, but his head hiding behind the bags, Karl kept marching towards him. When Karl placed a hand on Aster's shoulder, he was immediately grabbed by the shoulder himself.
Aster then flipped him over and slammed his face into the wall.
"Aster!" Carrie cried out.
"Aster's not home right now." A similar but different voice came out of Aster's body. It sounded colder, chilling, echoey. "You're going to be dealing with his better half now!"
He then started to freeze Karl's head with his powers, causing the bully to scream.
"What's the matter? Don't like it when the prey fights back?!" Aster's better half asked as he tossed the bully to the side and saw the two holding Carrie. "Anyone else?" The two of them push Carrie and runoff. "That's what I thought."
"Oh, god." Someone said, getting them to look and see Daniel, John, and Jordan watched the whole thing.
"Aster?" John asked.
"Not Aster anymore." Aster better half stated with a smile and raised his hands, releasing mist and ready to attack. "It's Sub-Zero!"
He then blasted a powerful blast of mist at them, causing the three to duck for cover.
