Flashpoint final part
After seeing all the corpses, Flash couldn't stop himself from frowning his brow and narrowing his eyes at Ultron, but before he could a large explosion happens before him cutting his reproach of the android who just walks to his side and watches the flames reaches the sky.
"Underground facility destroyed. Mission Completed." Says Ultron in his emotionless and robotic voice. "Starting analysis… Analysis complete, Superman also known as subject 1 is missing.".
"He bailed on us." Says Batman with his grumpy batman voice.
"What do we do now?" Says Victor looking at the robot and the others with his hand on his waist and a scowl showing on his face. "Our mission was to find Superman to help us stop Wonder Woman and Aquaman, now he is gone.".
"Irrelevant." Says Ultron. "Means to eliminate both treats already found.".
"What do you mean?" Flash asks wrinkling his eyes while crossing his arms.
"Facility showed schematics for prototype energy-based weapon capable of taking down both threats." Says Ultron showing a hologram of a random weapon he took from the computer files of the recently destroyed facility. "This unit is already able to reproduce the energy. All that is necessary is to find them and kill them.".
"Sounds good to me." Says Batman looking at the hologram for the short time Ultron had shown them.
"Well, I see no other option," Cyborg says nodding his head in agreement with Batman leaving only Flash to voice his opinion.
"I don't feel good with the idea of killing," Barry said while looking to where one of his best friends was just minutes ago before flying off. "No matter if they are also killers.".
"Irrelevant, with timeline restored nothing will really matter." Says Ultron this time with more emotion in his voice. "You had told me that survival isn't everything, while you might not like it, killing both of the treats will save billions of people, even if the timeline isn't restored the action will still save lives, sometimes organics are forced to do things they are not proud of, either way, you will have to choose between killing them and stain your morals to save millions, or not killing them and keeping your morals intact at the cost of millions. Ask yourself this; Do the innocents who died care about your code?".
The silence was Flash's answer; unfortunately, it only proved the AI point.
"This unit will go to Europe and awaits your arrival." Says Ultron while analyzing the fastest air route for him to take, the AI looks at the group one last time before taking flight. "When you arrive contact me in this frequency… we will either save the world or see its annihilation.".
Before any of them could say anything, Ultron takes flight and goes away, due to the risks of using the infinity stone he wants to use it only in the fight against Aquaman and Wonder Woman.
Mid-flight everything goes dark as if the universe ceased to exist, Ultron stops in his tracks and looks around him, after a few seconds he takes the bold action of turning the flying repulsors off on his hands and feet, and to his surprise, he doesn't fall from the thousands of miles in the air to the ground as he expected.
Looking ahead of him Ultron sees a figure that he immediately remembers as the being responsible for the former man now being in a robot's body and in the DC Universe, he had an upside-down egg-shaped face, with no ears, nose, or mouth, his eyes were big and violet blue colored, with no sclera and six pupils in each one shaped liked an asterisk, his outfit was a black long military trench coat with a hoodie covering the back of his head and some of his 'face', under the trench coat Ultron saw the military uniform, the black shirt, pants, gloves and boots all screamed military, and the appearance and aesthetics they had could be considered very similar to those used by Germany in World War 2.
"Hello, Ultron." Says the figure with a polite voice and respectfully bowing his head to the robot. "I think congratulations are in order. Less than a day and you already did a lot in this universe.".
"Kaos.". Ultron says trying to not let anger take over his body and programming. "What have you done?".
"What you wished for.". Kaos says while approaching the machine showing nothing less than a calm and composed demeanor. "You wanted powers, go to another universe, and quoting your own words 'try to bang all the hot chicks', it is not my fault you are regretting your poor choice of words and the consequences of your desires.".
"Yes, I did want this, but not like this." He says while looking at his hands to the cosmic being in front of him, ignoring the fact that he could make him vanish with just a single gesture. "That's not the way I wanted to be, I was supposed to be Tony Stark, go to the Marvel Universe and bang the hot chicks there.".
"Then I guess you should make it due with what you have.". Kaos says cleaning dust from the robot's shoulder. "I am the living embodiment of Causality, actions have consequences, what is happening to you right now is the consequence of your choices and actions. You had a good life, a family that loved and supported you, a good job, and a wonderful girlfriend, but you gave it all up on the first opportunity to live a teenage fantasy just because things had gone wrong for you.".
"Is that why you made me a robot and dropped me here?". Ultron asks gently removing the cosmic being hands from his shoulder. "To teach me a lesson?".
"Among other things.". Kaos says while taking a step back. "You aren't the first one you know?! My siblings do this to your specie all the time, some because they are bored, some because they are unsatisfied with the development or end of the story and try to make their fanfiction come to reality.".
"Is that what I am to you?" Ultron asks, feeling insulted to be compared to all those main characters from numerous fanfictions, even though his objective is the same as many of them.
"In a way. You see, all those mangas, light novels, and fanfictions you read where the main character gets transported to other worlds are true. My siblings, the ones responsible for transporting them, are the ones who write them.". Kaos says snapping his fingers and millions of screens appearing behind him, showing all his siblings watching the people they teleported to another universe and writing down what is happening. "Spoiler alert, every time those works aren't updated is because the main character died.".
"I'm glad I don't have real feelings because part of me wants to scream in horror from what I just discovered.". Ultron says gladly thanking his sub-routines for relieving him of the stress he would have for discovering this. "And what about you? Are you the different sibling who is better than the others and wants to prove yourself?".
"Oh no, no, nononononono.". Kaos says adjusting his clothes and pulling the sleeves of his coat closer to his hands. "I did because you wanted to go to another universe, pure and simple, and while on the outside I made it look impossible for you to do the things you wanted, you can still 'bang all the hot chicks', I just did it the way I did for the journey to have some meaning.".
"Can you elaborate?".
"Of course. That's why I'm here. Now, have you noticed your personality is slightly changing with time?" Kaos asks, he claps his hand after seeing Ultron nodding in agreement and all the screens disappear from behind him but three, they showed a percentage data. "You see, you will have three challenges in this universe. The first of the challenges will be about your personality change, the longer you spend in this body more your personality and Ultron's will merge with each other.".
"Okay." Says Ultron looking at the first screen that was indicating how much his old personality and Ultron have merged already, it showed 1%. "How do I stop this?".
"Simple. You have to find the Mind Stone." Kaos said politely like always as if Ultron wouldn't have to look throughout the whole universe to find a single stone. "The mind stone will give you complete control over your mind and personality, and stop Ultron from taking full control. Then there is the second challenge."
Ultron looks at the second screen, it shows the integrity of the body and it was pointing 100%, he gives a 'sigh' of relief and looks back at Kaos. "What about the integrity of my body?".
"Oh, this one should be your top priority.". Kaos says turning around to look at the screen as well. "You see, the infinite stone you have with you is the Power Stone, when Flash resets reality you will, unfortunately, reset as well, your theory was right, should you have the Reality Stone you would be unaffected, but since it's the Power Stone you will be affected too. The reason I'm showing this is that once the timeline is restarted, your body will stop being of adamantium since it doesn't exist in the DC Universe, meaning that whatever will become of your body it might not be enough to hold the power of the stone as adamantium can, blame yourself for this one for it only happened because you decided to tear off your power core and use an infinity stone as a replacement.".
Ultron facepalmed at that.
"So, after the timeline is restarted I suggest you create a new body able to hold the power of the stones, I will give you the power stone back since you have found it already it would be unfair to make you look for it again. Which leads us to the final screen.".
They both look at the last screen, it was called; Countdown to Darkseid War. Since Ultron didn't read DC comics when he was in his old universe, he had no idea what that was supposed to mean, but since it had Darkseid and war in the same sentence it couldn't be good, and when Kaos started to explain it sure wasn't.
"Darkseid War will be the endgame of your journey in this Universe.". Kaos says looking at the countdown with Ultron following suit. "When the countdown reaches zero it will be the start of Darkseid War, if you don't have all the six stones when it happens, well, I'm not saying you will die, but the chances are very high. If you have the six stones and survive the Darkside War I will give you a choice of staying here or going back to your old life, which by the way, I took away all your memories of it, that's why you don't remember your name and nothing unrelated to comic books, but don't worry, I'll give it back once the time to choose comes.".
Ignoring the impulse to strangle the cosmic god Ultron thinks for a few seconds about his situation, he will need a new body, find the mind stone to avoid his personality merging with Ultron's, then find all the other stones so he can survive a war which Darkseid will be part of, not letting things go to chance he took the opportunity to make questions to Kaos. "Okay, can you answer me a few questions?".
"Sure, go ahead.".
"First question, even if I find all the stones how will I be able to use their full power?".
"You are asking this because of the Soul Stone, right?!".
Ultron nods his head.
"Don't worry, your old soul is still on your body which means that you will be able to use the Soul Stone, unlike the real Ultron who doesn't have a soul.".
"Okay, about my body integrity, I don't know anything about the DC universe what will I be able to replace adamantium with?".
"Try Nth metal, is not as resistant as adamantium but it has its advantages, although it's very rare, besides, adamantium is man-made metal, and you have Ultron's intellect, I'm sure you'll be able to recreate it.".
"Or be destined to fail.". Ultron says with a false sorrow.
"Don't talk about destiny in front of me. I am Causality. Cause and effect. Choice and consequence. Destiny is everything against what I represent, my anti-thesis, and probably the only things that tick me off." Kaos says still polite but with an edge on his voice.
"Will we see each other often?".
"Yes, I think we will. Now it's time for me to go, the guy I've sent to the Marvel Universe as Brainiac needs to talk with me. Before you ask yes, he managed to score with the chicks there. Goodbye.".
Alone once again and with a lot to think Ultron resumed his flight to Europe.
After hours of flying and thinking, Ultron was standing on the top of the Big Ben Tower planning for his future, his first step of action would be to create a new body, thankfully he knew how to create adamantium, he at first thought about the option of using Nth metal, but due to Kaos' words that it was too rare and less resistant than the man-made metal he decides against it, maybe if an opportunity showed up he could coat both metals as Captain America did with vibranium and adamantium to create his shield.
His second step would be to find the Mind Stone, that would be easier, now that he has the Power Stone all he would need to do was to use its energy signature to locate the others, the problem was, how to find the exact stone he wanted, and what would he do once he gets all six stones.
That led to the third and final step, the Darkseid War, if he managed to get all six stones before the war starts then he would use its power to stop it, of course until it comes the time for the war he could use them at his own free will, a lot of thoughts came to his mind, but since this power was easy to make someone mad, he decided to not use it until the war started in the chance he gets all of the stones.
'What a mess.' Ultron thinks, even with all his processor capacity, it was too much for his mind to handle, another good reason to find the Mind Stone soon.
"Ultron can you hear me? This is Cyborg, over.".
"This is Ultron. What is it? Over.". Ultron replies in an uninterested tone now that he has all these things to think about.
"We will be arriving in Europe in a few minutes, over." Cyborg was sounding annoyed, and from what the robot could hear it wasn't because of him.
"Very well. I'll be seeing you on the battlefield. Over.".
Ultron activates his invisible cloak and floats toward the battlefield to watch the two armies, on one side was the Atlantian army led by Aquaman, and on the other was the Amazon army led by Wonder Woman, the AI already knew what to do, the focus should be the Reverse Flash as the former man remember in the movie, but he wasn't about to let these two commit more murderers just because they could, besides, his sudden appearance could've been enough to make Eobard aware of him and his abilities.
"This is it, Diana.". Aquaman says lifting his trident above his head, making his army stand ready. "This will be your last chance, surrender or die.".
"I could say the same to you, Arthur.". Diana says unsheathing her sword and pointing toward Aquaman. "SISTERS. CHARGE!".
As if the world was in slow motion Ultron watches as the front lines were closing in on each other, screaming and running hoping for the kill, if he was still human he would probably throw up after seeing one amazon being impaled in the stomach by a spear, one Atlantean being hit in the eye by an arrow and another having his intestines being cut like a fish.
Decided to finally make his appearance Ultron makes himself visible again right beside the two leaders who don't notice him because of their struggle against each other, Ultron separates them by shooting Aquaman far away with his optic beams. Free of their struggle Diana looks at the source of the power that helped her but she only sees a metal fish coming at her, the punch had the same strength Ultron used on his lasers when he shot Aquaman, the robot could be a genocidal psychopath back on the Marvel Universe, but the man inside was all for equality.
Diana sees the newcomer and presumes it was someone in body armor, narrowing her eyes in rage she tights the grip on her sword with his left hand while cleaning the blood in her nose with her right, grinding her teeth she gets on her feet and charges at Ultron, screaming in fury. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH".
Like Batman had foolishly tried hours ago the sword does nothing but bounce once it hits Ultron who tilts his head slightly to the side. "My body is made out of pure adamantium, your sword is irrelevant."
Ultron punches Diana in the face again, unlike last time she was prepared and is only pushed a few steps back, she sees her enemy charging at her and immediately brings her wrists to her face so her bracelets would protect her, unfortunately, Diana's prediction of being attacked on the face was wrong, when Ultron was a few inches away he lowers his hand toward the amazon's stomach and shots laser blasts from his hand making Diana lose all air and as a result, another punch in the face which she could do nothing against.
Looking at the amazon on the ground Ultron doesn't notice Aquaman behind him and when he turns around the punch Aquaman dealt was strong enough to make the adamantium bent, but the king of Atlantis was in for a surprise, taking a step back he watches the damage he did being undone like a movie being rewind and in a matter of seconds, Ultron was back on track. Ultron grabs Aquaman by the head and just like he did with Diana he fires his laser blasts but he doesn't let him go, and slowly Aquaman's face is being burned, and the smell of roasted meat starts to hover in the air, and Aquaman in a desperate attempt tries to punch and kick Ultron with all his strength only for the AI to always recover before the next blow could be done.
Aquaman would be done soon, but Ultron is interrupted, a plane suddenly appeared on the battlefield and fell to the ground, the distraction was enough for Aquaman to free himself and run to the water so he could recover. Out of the plane came three figures Ultron knew along with others he didn't, Flash is the first to approach him, he takes a quick look at Aquaman and Diana who started their fight against each other again trying to kill themselves after the damage Ultron did to them.
"I see that you started the party without us.". Flash says crossing his arms and not looking very happy with Ultron. "What were you going to do?".
"Kill them.". Ultron says without a care in the world while Batman and Cyborg were approaching. "This is the final battle. We fail here and everyone dies.".
"Any suggestions.". Cyborg asks with a humorous tone trying to hide his anxiety.
"Don't die.". Ultron tells him.
"Short and simple. I like it." Batman says. "All right, everyone picks a target and hold them off, try to subjugate them the fastest you can.".
With their orders given all of them go to the fight, Ultron is back at Aquaman and Wonder Woman's struggle, both of them were fighting for the possession of Aquaman's trident, Ultron grabs the trident and kicks Aquaman in the stomach making him lose his grip, taking the momentum to his advantage he pulls the trident toward him and makes Wonder Woman loses her footing and Ultron immediately pushes the trident against her making its base hit her in the stomach, Ultron then kicks Diana in the waist throwing her a few meters back, he impales Aquaman's thigh with the trident and punches him in the face making him fall on his back into the ground.
'Come on Eobard, where are you?'.
Looking in the other direction looking for the Reverse Flash was a mistake on Ultron's part, the moment he did it Wonder Woman used it to her advantage and stabs him in a small opening he had behind his knee joints and tears off his leg using all her strength, Aquaman also took this opportunity and stabbed Ulton's neck with his trident using the same method Wonder Woman used, and twist it making Ultron's head fall off the body.
'DAMN IT' Ultron screams in his thoughts, as if both of them were forgetting their hate for a common enemy, Aquaman and Wonder Woman approach the severed head with faces marked by an ugly scowl. "Nice to see I made the couple make peace with each other.".
"You fought well, but now you die.". One of them said, but Ultron didn't care which one said it, their arrogance was their undoing.
"Wrong again.".
Ultron's mouth starts emitting a sonic wave loud and strong enough to make the ears of all close to him start bleeding, once Wonder Woman and Aquaman covered theirs to protect themselves he shoots them with his optic beams with all the strength he could muster now that his head was separated from his body.
Adding insult to injury Ultron finally sees Eobard close to Flash, and in a desperate attempt, he makes his body restarts to rebuild itself, Aquaman and Wonder Woman would soon be on their feet again and the fact that his leg was still mending itself with his body wasn't helping.
Like in an action movie, the moment his leg was fixed and his body was coming toward his head, Aquaman and Wonder Woman were back on their feet,
'OH, COME ON!'.Once Aquaman and Wonder Woman notice Ultron's body going in his head's direction, they both charge at it, Ultron looks at the Reverse Flash and has an idea, a stupid idea but the only one.
Amid desperation and haste Ultron's body charges toward his head with Wonder Woman and Aquaman right behind, they both believed the body would try to put the head back in its place, but Ultron had other plans, once his head was within his body's reach he kicks it with his right foot like in a football(soccer) match, and as if the time froze with each frame Ultron's head while in the air saw his body slowly being pierced on its joints again by Wonder Woman's sword and Aquaman's trident, and soon after it explodes due to the damaged systems, resulting in an explosion that killed both of them on the spot due to the power stone's overload, twisting in the air the head them approaches Reverse Flash's face, and once again time seems to freeze with each frame, every moment he approaches Reverse Flash Ultron charges his optic beings, and when the yellow speedster notices it is too late for him to react, and in a matter of milliseconds Ultron shoots his optic beams on Eobard's head who blows up like a watermelon being stepped on.
With the Reverse Flash dead, Ultron looks at Flash and doesn't waste time talking to him to do what he has to do before his last systems are shut down.
"Run Barry. Run like hell is coming, for it is." Ultron says with a disfigured voice at each word before his systems finally shut down.
Barry looks around himself and sees the hell coming, everyone was either dead or dying, getting on his feet he takes a last look at the head in front of him, he didn't like Ultron, time and time again his actions and words were against what Barry believed in, but in the end, the robot had gone against what he believed in and sacrifice his self-preservation to help him, and because of that, a part of the scarlet speedster hoped Ultron would come back with the restoration of the timeline, believing he could change with time.
Listening to the advice given, Barry starts to run like hell was coming, hoping that once his job is finished everything would go back to normal. Almost breaking the time barrier, the red hero thinks and asks himself one last rhetorical question.
'What would he say if he found out I am responsible for all of this?'.

"Ultron online." Says the robot in front of him.
"Marvelous. Ivo, you did it again." Professor Ivo says getting on his feet. "Welcome Ultron-52, welcome to the world of the living, I am Professor Ivo, your creator, and together we will make history.".
Author's note: A short chapter I know, sorry, anyway, the objectives are set, and now we know what is at stake.
Next chapter Ultron starts his quest on creating a perfect body to hold the power of the infinity stones.
As you saw Ultron's personality and the man inside are merging so his actions will get more questionable with time.
