CLASSIFIED LOCATION:
While the team was looking into the whole V.I.V.I.A.N. situation, Caitlin had finished catching Ronnie up on the recent years. It was a bit hard for him to grasp, considering he seems to come from a Pre-Crisis timeline. This meant he needed to be caught up on Dream Team, Supergirl, Iron-Spider, Krypton, aliens, and just about every criminal they fought since then as well.
"What about Stein?" Ronnie finally asked about his old Firestorm partner.
Caitlin sighed and knew that this was a complicated story to tell. "When you two separated in the singularity, it saved everyone. Peter saved Stein on the descent, and we couldn't find you. We figured you were taken inside the portal." Ronnie seemed happy to hear that and sighed. "Over the years, at least after Crisis, he was able to live his life in retirement. He died a few years ago, along with his wife a short time after."
Ronnie was sorry to hear that but was at least happy to hear that he survived. "That's at least good to hear."
"Hello?" Tina called as she and Tommy entered the living room. Aster and April coming close behind them.
"We're in here," Caitlin called them over, allowing Ronnie to finally get a good look at the four of them.
Ronnie looked over Tina and Tommy, seeing the similarities between Peter and Caitlin inside the four of them. "God, wow. You guys look exactly like your parents."
"Thanks?" Tina wasn't quite sure how to take it.
"Coming from the dead man, it's a little off-putting." Tommy had to admit.
"Tommy.' Caitlin called out her son on the comment. "Behavior."
Tomy sighed and knew better. "Sorry."
"Wow. Usually, it's me on the behavior part." Sub-Zero commented.
"What are you guys doing inside, anyway?" Caitlin wonders.
"Oh, you know, wondering about her." April gestured to the doorway as V.I.V.I.A.N. made her way inside.
Once the others noticed her, they were curious as to what she was doing here. She looked like a normal girl to them, but then she showed her true form. V.I.V.I.A.N. reverted to her android form to allow them all to see her.
"Hello." V.I.V.I.A.N. greeted everyone with a shy and tried to act casual. In reality, even though she's an android, she was worried about how they'd feel. "I'm V.I.V.I.A.N."
CENTRAL CITY:
"There had been little to no word from the heroes of National City for over a month. There hasn't been any sign of Dream Team, Supergirl, or even Iron-Spider for some time. But the biggest question is what happened to the newer heroes? We have also gotten reports on how Flash, Spider-Man, or Frost haven't been seen since the fight with the man called Deathstorm. Is it possible that something had happened to the heroes of the world? If so, what happened to the younger heroes? They have been spotted escaping what appeared to be certain doom, but nobody has seen them since."
That was what the news has been reporting on recently. The news of how all the heroes of three cities have suddenly vanished into thin air. Talking about how all of them have vanished without warning or a trace. Unless you count the massive destruction that was left from Brainiac's robots. But Frankie and Miles cleaned up any traces of it like nothing even happened.
Luckily things have become quiet after Deathstorm, seems all criminals are afraid of the heroes. Thinking that they're just waiting for the perfect moment to strike when criminals think they're safe.
What nobody expected however was when the Watchtower alerts went off, warning people that something had just started tampering with the atmosphere. But with nobody around to hear the alerts, it went unheard. Since the location Young Justice was currently at was only meant for the younger team, they weren't connected to the same satellite transmission.
The breach ripped open, followed by a ship coming out with a strange ship starting to fall from the atmosphere. It looked similar to an aerodynamic ship, something that J'onn J'onzz would use to ride. But it was completely dark red, with stripes of black from the center outward. Luckily it seemed to have enough control of itself to not crash into a populated area, but rather into a nearby park.
When a few nearby people approached the ship, they were wondering exactly what it was. They saw it was just an alien ship (you know your life is weird when people accept that) and was more curious as to who was inside.
Friend or foe?
When a portion of the ship opened on its own, that's when a few people took a step back in fear. What emerged from the ship seemed to be a young girl. She had dirty brown shoulder-length hair and light blue eyes. The outfit she was wearing was all black, acting as a pair of pants, a shirt, and a cape attached to the back. The cape however wasn't red like Kara or Karen's, it was yellow like the solar charger on her head.
The suit itself was all black, except for the sleeves that were blood red, the same color as the cape, followed by the upper half of her chest. She also had a familiar symbol of the House of El on her chest. Half of the symbol on the upper half was black, but the part that was on the black part of her suit was red.
When she made it outside, she gasped at the open air. Happy to finally breathe fresh clean air. But before she could enjoy the open air for so long, she felt a burning sensation inside of her skull. Screaming in pain, she opened her eyes for two beams of light to exit and for people to run in panic.
"Voh'zanijive!" The girl cried out in some language none of them recognized. "Voh'zujiep rh 'vohdone."
Seems that was enough for the police to get involved and she ran off to hide. Everyone already being familiar with Kryptonians and how to deal with them. They know not all of the Kryptonians are bad, and new arrivals just don't know how to control their powers.
"I thought this was the problem for that other city," Yuri commented as she was with the squad. "What is it we're dealing with it?"
"Seems to be some Kryptonian," Patty informed her, feeling she recognizes the face. "Just learning she has powers. A bit young for someone to be here alone."
"Think an adult might be with her?" Yuri asks as she got a look at the girl, who didn't seem to be in full control. "Quite a small ship."
"Maybe she is alone. Maybe a runaway or accidental crash." Patty guessed as to why she was here.
"Any word on the Flash or Spider-Man?" Yuri asks her.
"Nothing." Patty sighed.
She already knew that the kids were taken to a secret location after Young Justice Protocol was activated. This also meant that something happened to the Justice League that required them to activate the Protocol.
"Any attempt of contact?" Yuri wonders.
"She doesn't seem to be able to understand English." Patty was sorry to say. "But I did call in someone to help us find her."
CLASSIFIED LOCATION:
V.I.V.I.A.N. had finally finished her origins to Caitlin, who was left shocked to hear how Peter created an artificial child. Yet again, she always did wonder what Peter was doing on those days he had 'board meetings' he always seemed to go to on daily and some weekends.
She knew better than to think there was another woman involved. Peter was too honest of a man to do that. That, and also the fact that he's terrified of Caitlin's wrath. You'd think it'd be Crystal, but he's actually more terrified of Caitlin than her.
But to learn that he has been spending his time with this young girl that he and Reed created in the labs. It felt a little hard to believe he essentially created life and kept it in a cabin. Luckily it seemed she wasn't confined to the cabin and was able to explore the world. She just couldn't go too far away and needed to be home at a certain time.
"So, who named you?" Caitlin wonders, having V.I.V.I.A.N. turn to face her.
"I...I think it was my father." V.I.V.I.A.N. confirmed to her.
Caitlin then had a weird request he didn't really know how to ask. "Is it okay if I saw how you really look?"
V.I.V.I.A.N. was put off by the request, not expecting her to be so welcoming. "Sure." She then stood up before everyone and closed her eyes. Her hair started to change from brown to green, followed by her skin changing to light pink. "What do you think?"
"Wow." Caitlin had to admit she was a sweet innocent android. But Peter saw her more than that. He saw her as a real child. So that's how Caitlin decides to see her as. "Welcome to the family, V.I.V.I.A.N."
V.I.V.I.A.N. was happy about this and smiled as Caitlin caressed her cheek. But then their talk was interrupted by Maggie and Cisco came in with news.
"Guys, we've got trouble!" Cisco informed them when the two noticed the android. "Oh, hi."
CENTRAL CITY:
Several portals opened around the crashed spaceship where Patty and Yuri were waiting for them. All of them came out of the portal, in their suits, and were all ready to go. Even V.I.V.I.A.N. decided to come and join them.
V.I.V.I.A.N. morphed her entire suit and body to be a sort of mimic of Karen's and the other's. Her suit was made of different colors with her pants being completely black, the upper half around her stomach being green, and everything above being light blue. On her chest instead of having a House of El symbol, she had three yellow stretched-out hexagons.
"Hello, everyone!" Tommy greeted them with a joyous mood. "We are Young Justice! Name is already pended, and we are here in name of the Justice League."
Tina sighed as she rubbed her head, April already ahead of what she was thinking. "We're not with him."
"Who's your new friend?" Yuri asked, looking towards V.I.V.I.A.N. "New member of the team?"
"Yes," Sub-Zero confirmed and looked to V.I.V.I.A.N., thinking of a name for her. "Her name is...Vision."
"Vision?" V.I.V.I.A.N. asked him, raising a brow at him.
"You got something better?" Sub-Zero asks her, feeling it's the best name that he could think of. "Didn't think so."
Terry already walked ahead of all of them and scanned the ship. "Odd. Who was here?"
"An unidentified woman fled the scene," Patty informed the young Batman. "We tried to chase her down, but she was too fast."
"This ship is nothing like I've seen before," Ashley commented as she caressed the side of the ship. "Never seen an alien or human ship like this before."
Anjelica then realized that there's a certain appearance to one she does know. "I have." She then traced it and immediately knew she recognized it. "It's similar to Uncle J'onn J'onzz's cruiser."
"You saying that it's Martian?" Cessily asked her, looking at the ship. "Cool."
"Cool depends on who was inside," Tula commented, knowing the good and evil Martians.
"It was actually not a Martian, it was a Kryptonian," Ollie informed them, showing the footage off his writ's computer. "Laser eyes, super strength from the looks of it."
"I wonder how that worked then," V.I.V.I.A.N. commented as she leaned down and caressed the ship. "Because she's telling me something different."
"She's telling you?" Daniel asks, clarifying he heard her right as he stretched his head to look over her shoulder. "You saying you speak ship?"
"No, this ship is speaking to me telepathically," V.I.V.I.A.N. explains to him. "At least as psychic as I can. I'm not a telepath, but I can read brainwaves similar to telepaths."
Roberta then walked over and placed the shield on her back, seeing she won't need it for a minute. "What are you learning?"
"There was a telepath on board," V.I.V.I.A.N. informs her. "The girl who ran away was just the passenger."
"If she was the passenger..." Dawn started as she strolled around.
"Then where's the pilot?" Maggie wonders as she looked around the ship.
As they were looking for a way inside, V.I.V.I.A.N. was having a conversation with the ship, talking about how they were here to help both of them. Seemed that after a moment, V.I.V.I.A.N. was able to gain the ship's trust, and a door formed near the front.
Everyone jumped into action, with Mia drawing an arrow and aiming at the opening. "Get back!"
They did as she said, knowing she was the only one who would go for a lethal blow in case this was a Dominator situation. But when they watched who was inside exit the ship, they were shocked by what they saw.
Instead of some freakish monster alien race coming to conquer them, they saw what appeared to be a young girl around their age with green skin and red hair. Her outfit seemed to be a white shirt with a blue X vest over it and a blue skirt. She appeared to be unconscious and they saw she might need medical attention.
"Okay, we need to split up." Tina saw it was the best decision. "Some of us take our new Martian friend to..." She then looked at the officers and the people with cameras. If Brainiac is seeing this, he can't overhear where their base is. "...you know where, while the rest of us search for the Kryptonian."
"Sure, but what about that?" Dawn gestured to the ship.
But before they could start to think of it, the ship started to transform to the point it resembles a large red and black egg. They had no idea how to react to that and just shrugged it off. When it comes to alien tech, they just decided to accept whatever craziness there is to attain.
"Alright, as Spinneret said, let's split up, gang," Tommy told them, getting an annoyed look from April.
"Did you just make a Scooby-Doo reference?" April asked him.
Tommy realized what he said and shrugged. "Happy accident."
Terry then pulled out a grapple gun and shot a line to make it to the nearest rooftop, pulling out binoculars.
"How much can that one suit carry?" Tula asks the team.
"We're not even sure," Sub-Zero admitted. "Dad upgraded all the suits to carry as many gadgets as needed."
"I'll stay and find the Kryptonian," Anjelica tells them.
"And thanks to dad, I know a thing or two about tracking people," Daniel tells them.
"Alright, anyone who plans to help out stay, the rest of us come with us to get some answers," Mia said as she planned on going back with them.
V.I.V.I.A.N. picked up the egg ship as Halo opened the portal to the Safehouse. Dawn picked up the Martian and sped her into the portal so Caitlin could look her over. She became kind of an expert in all of the medical needs for any kind of species from patching everyone up in the Justice League. So, she was always the go-to person when it came to medical treatments.
Mia also walked into the portal, followed by Tula, Maggie, Roberta, April and Ashley, Cessily, and Karen. They didn't see a need for their particular set of skills and knew that when she woke up that if she was an enemy, she'd need to be stopped.
Ollie started to scan the area for the trace that Kryptonians leave behind and started to follow. Anjelica started to float as she made her way above the city and started to listen to the city. Tommy and Ashley start to look over the information that the cameras were able to pick up.
"Wish we had Gideon back online. Or hell, any of the AI's online." Tommy commented.
"Well, I've got Lyla working and her AI code is updated. So maybe when we get back, I can upload her to the servers." Tina informed her brother. "But right now, let's worry about this new visitor."
"Well, if history is any indication, we don't need to wait long." Sub-Zero stated.
"What makes you think that?" Tina wonders.
"Every Kryptonian doesn't have the patience not to cause some noise." Zero scoffed, knowing something would happen.
"He isn't wrong," Tina admitted as she scanned the area with her mask. "General Zod announced his presence to the world to draw out Superman. General Astra broke everyone out of Fort Rozz and built an army to hypnotize the world. Yet again, Tal-Rho tried to turn Earth into the next Krypton over twenty years."
Across the city, the girl in black stumbled as she tripped and fell to the floor. Crying in pain, she placed her hands over her ears. Seems her super-hearing had finally kicked in and she couldn't take it.
"Wy'kyu ajajbr! Yiabluab, poewer wy'ijdune!" She called out in agony and pain. "Wy'kyu atatuh! Poewer wy'ijdune!"
Back across the city with everyone else, Anjelica was still listening when she finally heard the pleas. The pain she's feeling, the agony that she's feeling. The same feelings she had when she first got her powers.
"Guys, I found her!" Anjelica tells the team and starts to fly off in that direction.
V.I.V.I.A.N. heard her but was busy on the DNA and was shocked at the results. "Team? There is something you should know..."
At the Safehouse, the new redheaded Martian was lying unconscious on the med table in the labs below the house. Yeah, turns out there is an entire downstairs basement with labs and equipment for them.
Caitlin did a look over and discovered that she was perfectly fine, just a bit banged up. "She should wake up soon. She just hit her head."
"Who is she?" Ashley asks.
"No idea. Haven't seen her before." Alex commented. "But it's not like I meet all Martians that come to Earth."
"It's odd," V.I.V.I.A.N. commented as she ran her face through facial recognition. "Even though her form is mostly shifted, her facial structure and DNA morphing sequence are similar to one of M'gann M'orzz." She then looked through her files and noticed that the word of what happened to the Martian had gone unknown for twenty years since Crisis on Infinite What If's. "This could possibly be her new Earth-Prime counterpart."
"J'onn did say that there was no sign of her since the multiverse merge," Cisco admitted that she was right.
"We just need to wait until-" Roberta was saying when the redhead gasped and jumped up.
Frantically looking around the room, she eyed the people as they all drew their weapons, ready to go in to attack if needed. Cisco on the other hand just slipped off his chair and shrieked as he fell.
Calming down, the Martian looked at all of them and was happy with what she saw. "I'm here. We made it." She then looked to the other side of the room. "You're Young Justice."
"Yeah," Maggie confirmed for them. "Who are you?"
"Oh." The Martian realized she never introduced herself and spun to dangle her legs off the side of the table. "I'm sorry. My name...is M'gann M'orzz. I'm the niece of the Martain Manhunter."
Everyone in the room was shocked to hear this as they all knew the...history J'onn has with the M'gann of their world. This means either this was a Crisis change, or this girl was from another universe.
"And I came from 10 years from the future with..." M'gann then started to look around in fear. "Oh, god, where is she?!"
CENTRAL CITY:
The 'she' in question was curled up in a ball, holding her hands over her eyes as she cried. She now wore a trench coat that covered up her chest and family symbol from the public eye. As she cried, she left enough noise for the team to show up and find her.
"I'll approach her first," Anjelica tells them. "You guys hold back."
"Sure." Tommy saw that this was the best decision for now.
Anjelica flew down to land a few feet from the Kryptonian. "Hi." The girl didn't turn and just kept crying. "My name is Anjelica." She then kneels to come face to face with her and tried to move her hands. "I'm gonna help you, just please-"
But that turned out to be a mistake when Anjelica discovered that she was covering her eyes to stop two beams of energy from coming out. The two laser beams pierced through the abandoned warehouse as the team all jumped for cover.
"Get out of the way!" Daniel cried as he flattened himself out to avoid getting hit. "Whoo!"
As they all ducked for cover and tried to escape, Terry was determined to stop her when the girl got up and ran for it. "Oh, no you don't."
Terry then leaped before he started to glide towards her. But as he glided, she started to float and take off into the air. The girl flew until she landed on the side of the building. Once she made it there, she started to crawl up the side and make it up.
When she reached the roof, however, Terry was already there, his elbow on his knee as he looked down at her. "I've had enough of this."
Terry went to grab her wrist, but that ended in the girl kicking him and sending Terry skidding across the roof. "Kau'luupbaej'voh valod'wus!"
She then took off running as Sub-Zero came up using an ice slide and watched her run across the roof. "What do we do? Freeze her?"
"Just cool her down. She doesn't know what's going on." Aster tells his ice persona.
"Fine." Sub-Zero rolled his eyes and blasted a mist of ice at her before slowly circling her.
As he circled her, Ollie made it to the roof and saw that her body was heating up. "Uh, Zero, warning, don't get too close!"
"Why not?" Zero asked as he got too close while blasting the mist of ice. "I got her."
But then her hand ripped out of the ice and grabbed onto Sub-Zero before tossing him into Ollie before he had time to register what was happening. Daniel came in and grabbed her arms before wrapping up around her.
"Hi! What do we say we call it a day?" Daniel asked as the girl started to try and pry him off. Then Daniel got a close look under the trench coat and was shocked. "Wait, isn't that-"
But that distraction was enough that the girl needed to grab Daniel and pry him off of her.
"Ow! Hey, watch it! I'm delicate!" Daniel cried as he was tossed across the roof as a breach opened and he smacked into Armando.
Terry then took out a kryptonite packet that was in the suit. Mia aimed a Kryptonite arrow and they both shot at the same time. The arrow was able to pierce her shoulder, and the Batarang pierced her back as she cried in pain.
But to their shock, instead of falling over in pain, she reached back and ripped the Batarang out of her back. Then she reached over and ripped the arrow out of her shoulder. What they saw just kept surprising them when they watched her skin absorb the Kryptonite and make her more alert.
The Kryptonite only empowered her!
When she looked back at the two, her eyes were glowing red, and she was ready to burn them to the corpse. But before she could, Anjelica flew in and landed between them. Tommy and Tina also made it and were ready to try and take her down if she went for Terry or Mia.
Anjelica still saw there was a chance to talk to her, just in her native tongue. "Wy'yphytu! Vou'akri egau pibe eyxam'kau!"
"Kau'luupbaej'voh!" The girl cried in anger.
"Zeivzu, agid kau'ik'dodape qofu boazmod'w, wy'ode kau'nox'luupbaej valod'wus," Anjelica said with a chuckle, only earning a glare from the girl. "Yphytu, zanijive, akri akok puokutam ammec rh ammaun."
"Nox'slea'kau?" The girl asked as she walked close to Anjelica.
"I'vohadwaup koig Anjelica Parker-Danvers." Anjelica introduced herself to her. "Nox'slea'kau?"
The girl then had a look of shock on her face when she heard that name. "In'ax Astra Parker-Danvers." She then opened the coat and showed off her suit with the symbol. "Wiapzo guew akok Uhwineer guew House of El."
Anjelica then became shocked at what she was hearing. "Astra?"
"Anjelica," Astra confirmed as she hugged her and Anjelica returned the gesture.
"Uh...what did we miss?" Armando asked when he and Daniel made it back.
Anjelica then broke it off and turned to her friends. "Guys? This is Astra. My sister. And if I had to guess, she is from ten years in the future."
The entire team looked at Astra in shock after hearing that. This girl was supposed to be the little girl that was currently in the Safehouse. That can't be possible. Yet again, they met Cable, a time traveler.
Astra then gave them a friendly wave. "Stubeobj."
"This is gonna be a lot of fun to explain." Tommy could easily tell.
