Accidental Magic
Harry was eating dinner and reading his mother's herbology journal when an owl dropped a letter in front of him. He carefully closes the journal and opens the letter.
Dear Harry,
Please stay after dinner.
Love,
Aunt Minnie
Harry destroyed the letter after he read it and returned to his journal. Soon dinner was done and all the students left leaving Harry the only student there. He closed the journal and walked up to his aunt.
"Yes, Aunt Minnie?" Harry asked in his monotone voice.
"How was your day?"
"Fine."
"Your father wanted to know if you made any friends yet?"
"No."
"Figured."
Harry looked at his aunt and she nodded her head that he could leave. He turned and left. She shook her head.
"I keep expecting you to punish the boy for calling you Minnie." Poppy said.
"He is the only one I will allow to call me Minne."
"Is he your sister's son?" Poppy asked.
"Yes. She married Brandon Reese in secret."
"I didn't know you had a sister, Minerva." Dumbledore stated.
"She lived in America. She was my half sister. My father remarried after my mother died and they lived in America and I stayed with my grandparents."
She stood up and left. Minerva hoped that Brandon wouldn't come to the school after he received her letter.
(Next Day)
Harry was the first to arrive in the Great Hall for breakfast and the first to leave. He arrive at his aunt's classroom and waited outside. He started reading another potion journal.
He was almost done with the journal when the Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs arrived. They stared at Harry for a minute before they started talking amongst themselves. His aunt arrived saving him from the headache that was beginning to form.
(I will have to give her a gift for saving me from those idiots.)
"Sit down."
Harry sat in the front. He noticed her looking around to make sure that all the students were there. She nodded in satisfaction.
"You will be learning the art of transfiguration in this class. Today I will be taking notes on how to change a match into a needle."
Harry smirked. Thanks to her he already knew how to do this.
"Everyone take out your parchment and quill and start writing down what is on the board."
With that she changed into her animagus form, a cat. She sat on her desk and watched her students. Harry wrote down the notes for review.
When double transfigurations were over his aunt gave them all a pile of homework. They made their way to the Great Hall. Harry finished his homework and began eating. Unfortunately his father showed up.
"Harrison Reese please tell me that you made friends."
Harry took a look at his father. He and his father did not look alike at all. His father had light brown hair and had a light tan. He was tall and was noticeably fit. The only thing that they had in common was the emerald green eyes.
"No."
"No, you have?" He asked his son hopefully.
"No, I haven't."
"Why not?"
"As I have said before, I don't need nor want friends. Grandpa, my aunt, and you are all I need."
"But-" He was cut off when Harry's magic flung his father to the the other side of the room. He left, leaving everyone but his aunt in shock and his father unconscious.
Harry went to his next class as his father went to the school hospital wing. Harry pulled out the locket from his pocket and opened it. It was a photo of his mother. She had long black hair and light blue eyes. She and Harry had the same pale skin. He kissed the photo before he placed it back into his pocket and pulled out the journal.
The puffs and ravens arrived but kept a distance between them and Harry. They were now scared of him. What they didn't know was that Harry was afraid of himself. This was the exact reason why he didn't get close to people. He feared that he would hurt them on accident. His magic always reacts when he is relaxed. Usually his father didn't get hurt by it. It scared him even more.
Professor Quirrell came and let them in. He stared at the Harry for the longest second before entering the classroom. Harry sat in the back of the room, away from everyone.
"C-c-class t-t-today w-we a-are g-g-g-going t-t-to l-learn h-h-how t-to c-cure w-w-w-werewolf b-b-bites."
Harry already knew this. He took out his parchment and quill and took notes. Even though his hand was moving and writing down notes, his head was somewhere else. He was upset and was wondering how he could fix this.
When the class was done Harry hurried off to Astronomy. The Slytherins were already there. Harry sat down and took out a journal and started to read it. Harry didn't pay any attention to the class. All he wanted was to see how his father was doing.
When the class was over Harry went to the hospital wing instead of going to the Great Hall with the rest of his classmates. Once Harry was there he found his father and ran over to him. His father was still unconscious.
Harry climbed up on the bed and cuddled into his side. Harry's head rested on his father's stomach.
"I am so sorry Daddy. I don't know what happened with my magic." Harry fell asleep crying.
Madam Pomfrey felt someone enter the hospital wing. When she entered she gasped in surprise. Harry was glowing a soft blue color. The glow spread to his father who woke up. He looked down at his son and smiled.
"It wasn't your fault Harry."
He cuddled his son back and fell asleep. Madam Pomfrey smiled at the scene. She quickly ran a diagnoses spell over Brandon to check him out. It came back he was healthy and the concussion was gone. With that she went to the Great Hall for dinner. She made a mental note to make sure the house elves brought them food.
