People were running.

Robots were invading the streets. Attacking anyone who was closest and draining their brains for knowledge.

As they were tearing everything down, a flash of light came running through the streets. Tearing down and ripping apart the robots that came close to civilians.

The flash of lightning then ran through the world as fast as she possibly could. Dawn was ripping through the support the robots had for their systems whilst Karen flew right into their ships like it was nothing.

Reed and Rebecca made it through a portal Violet opened to make it back to the Baxter Building. Once they made their way inside, they found their way into his office.

"That's it." Reed gestured to the main control systems that control everything. "Brainiac took control of my systems from my main computers."

"This should take a moment," Rebecca assured him as she walked over and raised her robotic arm. Using her abilities, she uses the wiring to move out of her arms and connect to the system. "All I have to do is get into the system and-"

But she was interrupted when she noticed the screens glitching out and showing Brainiac. "Rebecca Ryker. The pinnacle of human evolution..."

"Looks like I have a secret admirer," Rebecca commented.

"But your humanity inhibits your true potential. You must purge it." Brainiac tells the cyborg.

"No thanks. I like my humanity." Rebecca informed him with a snarl. "I didn't even ask for this to happen to me. Some freaks took me and did this. And now...I chose to use my powers for the right reasons."

"But you could be so much more," Brainiac tells her.

"Yeah, no thanks. I'd rather just be the horrifying cyborg I was made to be." Rebecca stated as she was still working on purging Brainiac from their systems.

"You cannot defeat my advanced coding," Brainiac warned the girl.

"I'm not trying to beat you," Rebecca informed the computer as she was almost done. But as she was finishing up, several Ultron bots came in to finish them off. "Just teaching Ultron and all of our satellites to ignore you."

And just like that, the Advanced Intelligence was purged from their systems and wiped their entire base clean. Sighing in relief, the two looked and noticed the Ultron bots standing straight and awaiting orders.

Reed then tapped his ear and heard the comms were working again. "Guys? We have comms."

But out in the streets, nobody was in the mood to talk. They were all a little too busy fighting for their lives through the streets to protect the people.

Even the Syndicate was forced to help out as they all used their advanced skills to help out and fight off the invaders.

"Great!" April called as she blasted a load of ice towards a swarm of robots. "Now what?"

"We keep fighting!" Tina said as she and April swung in, both of them swinging off one another to fight the robots and protect the people. "Rebecca, anything else?"

"I saw something. I found myself inside of the Brainiac system by accident." Rebecca explains to them as they keep fighting. "He wasn't so happy about me breaking through his defenses."

"Yeah, I figured we were gonna piss him off for doing that!" Karen said as she flew to the ground, sending a shockwave to attack the robots.

"It's bigger than just that. He told his systems to prepare for his Contingency Plan." Rebecca explains to the entire team.

"Contingency Plan?" Daniel asks as he was trying to wrap up the robots, crushing them with his waste powers. "I don't like the sound of that."

"None of us do!" Tommy said as he swung and froze a crumbling building before it could crush civilians. "But we can't worry about that right now!"

"He's right!" Terry said as he was flying in using the Batwing to shoot down the ships with Brainiac reinforcements. "We've got to get the cities evacuated and free the people the robots are rounding up."

"You heard the Batman!" Anjelica stated as she flew and slammed into the ground, sending the robots flying. Not to mention creating a dust cloud that covered their actions.

The Brainiac-bots started to try and scan the area for anything they can shoot. But there were already a few on the Horizen with a clear vision. V.I.V.I.A.N. came floating out of the ground and was standing right behind one of the drones. Working faster than it could have anticipated, Viv phased her hand through one of the robot's heads, crushing it from the inside.

When the other robots took notice of what she had done, they were ready to take her down and aimed their arms at her. But the moment that they did, someone raced through the street and sliced through one of the robot's chests. The last of the robots then started to see where the second attacker was but didn't notice it was in danger itself. A speed of lightning blasted down the streets and phased straight through the robot before it had a chance to react.

Dawn, Ashley, and Francine came together after they saw they had all worked together to take down the surrounding robots. It was really surprising to see how well the three of them worked as a team, considering their different backgrounds and ideals. But maybe that's something they should have considered. That their different backgrounds are something that gives them the upper hand over Brainiac.

A computer of logistics and reason would never consider them stooping this low.

Across the city, an entire group of civilians was being rounded up and started to whimper in fear. All of the Brainiac-bots were here to extract information from these innocents and aimed their robotic arms at them.

But just before they could shoot off the extractors, a gigantic creature came racing through the streets. The stomping got their attention when the robots looked and noticed that a T-Rex was closing in on them. Letting out a ferocious roar, it bit down on the robot, raising its head and swinging it around before throwing the robot away. The others start to shoot the extinct creature when it reacted by swinging its tail and knocking them down.

"What the hell?" Daniel asked as he came to see the creature. "Dinosaurs?"

Mia came by and aimed an arrow at the creature. "This day just keeps getting weirder."

"Hold your fire!" Stephen Strange demanded when he came in through a portal. "It's Maggie."

"Maggie?!" Daniel asked as he looked at the T-Rex and back at Strange. "How?"

"I took your DNA copying friend to the dangerous place on Earth to extract some real DNA." Strange explains to the team as Maggie shifts back to normal. "The Savage Lands. Where extinct creatures roam free."

"That's a thing?" Daniel asks in confusion.

But their talk is interrupted when they hear a booming sound from Brainiac's ship. All around the city, everyone came to a halt as they watched a glowing blue light form underneath the ship.

"What's happening?" M'gann questions.

"Brainiac." Karen started to panic. "He's getting ready to extract the city!"

"How do we stop him?" Violet asks as she opened a portal to extract the people.

"Brainiac is controlling the whole invasion," Terry remembered as he eyed the ship. "If we take down that ship, we take down everyone."

"You're thinking of a head-on approach?" Ollie asked as he stabbed a robot in the chest with his arms. "That's suicide!"

"It's suicide if Brainiac gets what he wants!" Terry reminded him as he changed directions and flew towards the Skull-shaped ship. "Target systems."

The Batplane then started to target the giant ship and scanned for its weakest point. Once the computers had a lock on where the weakest point was, they fired upon the ship. Brainiac was overseeing the entire invasion and watched the Batplane close in. Almost amused by his attempts, he sent out reinforcements to keep him back.

Terry ended up flying around drone after drone as swarms came in to take him down. "Come on. Come on!"

Just as a few of them started to embed into the Batplane and tear it apart, Karen and Anjelica flew up and Super-Arachnid punched them off of the plane. As Anjelica did that, Karen flew around and used her laser vision to take down the drones and get the Batplane through.

"Target locked." The system informs Terry.

Shooting the missiles off to hit the ship, they did little to no damage. But not only that, the ship fought back and sent out a shockwave that took the Batplane down with ease. Terry tried to get control of the ship with no luck due to the EMP taking down all systems. Anjelica flew up and quickly used her fingers to rip off the hood and grab the ship.

"What happened?" Anjelica asked.

"The ship is creating a concussive feedback loop," Terry explains to him.

"Meaning the harder we hit it, the harder it hits back." Anjelica sighed in anger when they noticed that Karen was flying towards the ship. "Karen!"

Karen flew and slammed into the ship at full speed, only for the feedback loop to hit her back, sending her zipping and falling to the ground. On the ground level, Tula was using her powers to send the Brainiac bots crashing into one another. Sub-Zero was shooting the robots with ice and icicles to either impale or freeze them in place.

But then they looked and noticed that Karen was falling at full speed. "Guys, anyone getting to that?"

"A bit busy at the moment!" Roberta cried as she did a spin and sliced through one of the bots.

Mia shot a split arrow, killing three bots at once before taking one and stabbing it from behind her. "Deal with it!"

Zero and Tula looked to one another and up to Karen. But she quickly got an idea and raised her hands, summoning all the water in the area. Creating a slide out of the water, she looked towards Sub-Zero.

"I'm gonna need you to freeze it for me," Tula explains to him.

"Oh, now I get it," Zero exclaimed as he quickly froze the water to create an ice slide for Karen to slide down. As soon as Karen made an impact with the ice, it slowed her down so she would slide and land safely. "Ouch."

Several Brainiac robots started to circle the three, wanting to get their hands on the Kryptonian. Yet the moment they had the chance to kill them, a blast of lighting came running past and sliced them in seconds.

The lightning stopped and revealed to be Dawn and groaned as she rubbed her arm. "Ow. Punching robots hurt.

"What's the plan?" Cessily asked as she and Maggie were using their powers to protect civilians Strange was getting to safety. "Or is constantly punching them really the only plan?"

"I'm perfectly fine with that," Keemia said as she formed back into a human after getting people to safety.

"It's the only one we have," April said as she used the Symbiote to slice through the robots with weapons made out of it. "Brainiac isn't going to let off anytime soon."

"These machines and he have a codependent relationship." Terry noticed as Anjelica got him and the Batplane to the ground. "If he could have absorbed the cities easily, he would have done that and not wasted time with the robots."

"Then what is he waiting for?" Armando asked, just finishing up saving a group of people. "Our permission?"

"His robots..." Carolyn started to do a scan on the recently down robots. "They're sending a signal. His devices work like an old film projector. He can only absorb the place that he has these bots."

"The more robots are around, the better signal he receives." Francine started to understand. "Finally, someone speaks English."

"So, we keep bashing the robots." Misty understood that much. "My projectors are all ready to go, so I'm in."

"Aren't we forgetting something?" Keemia asked them.

Behind them, there was a sounding boom as Brainiac opened his ship and several figures escaped.

"Oh, yeah, didn't we have a contingency plan to deal with?" Anjelica wonders.

Several news choppers were then suddenly taken down by a mysterious figure as one came crashing towards the team. But before it made an impact, someone interrupted it and blew it up. The explosion sent a few of the skidding across the ground or blew them forward slightly

When the smoke cleared, the team was shocked when they saw that the figure was no other than the Man of Steel himself. The sun shone on him as he looked down at the team of teenagers while holding the pilot of the chopper.

"It's Superman!" Dawn said in glee. "He's back."

"The Mighty Superman rescued that pilot!"

"Oh, come on. You show off." Francine was less than impressed as she stepped ahead of everyone. "Beat it, Spandex! We're on a world-saving, super-heroic mission!"

They were then starting to feel something was off when Superman rose the pilot to his eye level. "No...NO!"

Then the entire team watched in shock, frozen in place, watching as Superman blasted the pilot with his heat vision. Seconds afterward, there was nothing but smoke and ash from the pilot.

The Young Justice stood in shock and fear as then the sight of Superman became clear. His eyes were glowing purple and the veins surrounding them were the same purple.

Then they watched as all of the rest of the Justice League came flying in and landed nearby. All of them have the same glowing eyes and veins as Superman.

Guess they found the contingency plan.

Daniel rubbed his shoulder as he walked up and saw their shocked faces. "So... figure out who's ass were supposed to be kicking?"

Then the entire Young Justice and Syndicate gestured towards their parents and the heroics.

Daniel looked towards where they were pointing and cried in annoyance. "Oh, come on!"
