Allen Reese

Allen Reese was about to make a potion when his son entered the lab. This shocked him since his son hated the potion lab. Unlike Harry, Brandon never understood the beauty of potions nor the art in it. The look on his son's face told him that he had done something stupid. He put his ingredients back and looked at his son.

"What did you do this time?" Allen accused.

"After I read Minerva's letter I went to Hogwarts to see why he wasn't making friends." Brandon said.

"You didn't?"

"Yeah I did and then his magic reacted and flung me against a wall."

"Serves you right." Allen muttered as he glared at his idiotic son.

"I woke up in the infirmary after he healed me. We ate breakfast before he went to his classes. I visited Minerva before leaving to make sure that Harry could stay with her."

"You are truly an idiot Brandon. How could you do that to him? I will go see him and make sure that he is alright thanks to you."

Allen pushed his son out of the way. Before he left the lab he put a hand on Brandon's shoulder and squeezed. He then left to go pack.

(Minerva's rooms)

Minerva entered her room and smiled when she saw her nephew cuddled on the couch in a nest of blankets asleep. She walked over to him and picked him up. She walked over to the door on the other side of her bookcase. She entered the room and laid him down before going to her own bedroom to go to sleep.

The next morning Harry woke up to his grandfather shaking him awake. It took Harry a second before he launched himself into his arms.

"Grandpa!"

"Good morning Harry."

"Morning Grandpa."

"We are going to go down to breakfast, but first put on this tear shaped blue sapphire necklace. It will help you control your emotions while the silver chain will help control your powers."

"Okay."

"I will look through your schedule and see when you are free so that I can teach you how to control both your emotions and powers without the necklace." Harry nodded and gave him the schedule before he left to go get ready.

Harry had come back into the room to find that his grandfather was frowning. Harry walked over to him and gave him a hug.

"What is wrong?"

"The only free time you have is the weekend. We will do it on the weekends then."

"Okay."

They left Minerva's room and went to the Great Hall. Everyone stared as they entered. They walked over to the Ravenclaw table and sat down. Harry leaned against his grandfather causing everyone but Allen and Minerva to stare in shock. Harry cuddled into his grandfather and started eating.

As they ate they chatted about potions. Harry giggled at his grandfather making fun of his father. This caused everyone to drop their jaws in surprise and shock.

"Did that really happen grandpa?"

"Yes, your father was boiling water and it exploded. Go ask your aunt if you don't believe me."

Harry got up and walked over to his aunt. "Aunt Minerva is grandpa right? Did daddy really explode the water?" He said it in a cute childlike voice.

"Yes he did. I have a memory of it if you want to see it tonight." Minerva said as she laughed at the memory. "Thank goodness that you take after your grandfather and have a gift for potions." She continued to laugh.

Now everyone was staring at their professor with wide eyes. Not only did they just find out that Harry was Professor Mcgonagall's nephew, but they had just witnessed her laughing. They were ready to faint from all this shock.

After breakfast, Harry went to Charms and his grandfather went back to Minerva's rooms so that he could plan out a schedule for the weekend. He was still pissed at his son though.

(With Brandon)

Brandon sat on his bed looking at the photo of his late wife, Calithea. He looked like the world had crashed down around him and he was the only survivor.

"Oh my love, I did it again. All I want is for Harry to be happy, but I seem to keep screwing up. Tell me what I should do, Cali."

He brought the picture to his lips and kissed it. He then set it back on his nightstand. He got up and left to go down to Diagon alley to see if there were any potion or herbology journals for Harry. It was an apology gift for causing him to get scared plus the fact that he loved to spoil his son.

(Hogwarts)

Harry was glad that his grandfather was here. For some reason his grandfather could cancel Harry's magic. He felt safer here. Right now as he walked towards the Great Hall for lunch he knew that his grandfather would have the schedule ready and would do something to make Harry smile.

Harry entered the Great Hall and as soon as he did, he was picked up and swung around by Allen.

"Grandpa!"

"Hello there my wonderful grandson." Harry just giggled and soon his feet once again touched the ground.

They walked over to the Ravenclaw table where Allen handed his grandson his weekend schedule. Then they continued their potion conversation. Everyone else didn't know when they would stop being surprised by those two. They practically had their eyes permanently wide and their jaws stayed on the floor.

Soon though Harry went to herbology and his grandfather went back to Minerva's room so that he could write out the potion he was thinking of and then he was planning on testing it out.

After herbology Harry had transfigurations. Harry was the first one there so he got out a potions journal and began reading. When the other students came in they didn't notice that Harry was there. They started to talk and Harry heard everything they said. What they also didn't notice was the cat hiding in the corner listening to what was said.

"I bet that professor Mcgonagall will favor that freak just because he is her nephew." A boy said.

"She wouldn't do that." A female replied.

"Yeah she would. He is related to her so of course she would favor him." Another girl said.

"You might be right." Said the first girl.

The bell rang and professor Mcgonagall shifted back into a human. She walked to the front of the room.

"I would like for all of you to know that I will not be favoring Harry just because he is my nephew. He gets the same treatment that all of you do." She glared at all of them. "Our personal relationship is none of your business and our relationship does not intervene with our school relationship. As long as we are in school we have a student-teacher relationship." She took a breath to calm herself down. "When class is not in session we resume our family relationship unless it is about schoolwork. Do you understand?" Again she glared.

"Yes professor Mcgonagall." They all said except for Harry.

She then began class. She had frowned and then decided that at dinner she would discuss this. Minerva didn't want anyone thinking that she would play favorites. She knew that they still would though. It wasn't her fault that Harry was smarter than most people and would get high grades. It was still worth a shot though.

Harry knew from the looks that he was getting throughout the rest of the class and his other class that none of the kids believed his aunt. He knew that they all thought that he was getting a free pass in this class and it made him angry that they thought that.

At dinner, all the students were confused because every table was void of food and dishes.

"Attention everyone, Professor Mcgonagall has an announcement that she would like to make." Announced Professor Dumbledore.

"Thank you Albus." She nodded to Albus. "Now it has come to my attention that you all think that Harrison Reese will get special treatment in my class just because he is my nephew. He will not get special treatment." She paused to glare at them. "If Harry gets a high grade then it is because he earned it. Harry is smarter than most people in this room. Just ask the other teachers. Understand?" She watched as they all nodded. "Good." The food then appeared.
