Disclaimer: I do not own any characters or places recognizable with Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Heroes of Olympus. Do I look like J. K. Rowling or Rick Riordan to you?
Author's note: In my story, the Hephaestus cabin runs a business in the forge making weapons.
Harry POV
It was the summer. We had watched the Quidditch World Cup final, and we had just returned home. I collapsed in bed. Suddenly I heard a sharp tapping noise. I looked up at the window. An owl was there, holding a letter in its beak. The letter had the Hogwarts crest on it. I opened the window, and the owl flew in. I took the letter, and the owl flew over to Hedwig's cage. Hedwig screeched loudly. "Quiet!" I said, as quietly as I could. Hedwig understood and he became quiet, but he looked pretty unhappy as the Hogwarts owl took some of his food and water.
After the owl had gone, I went back to sleep. The next morning, I took the letter, and walked into the kitchen, where the Weasleys were eating bacon. I held up the letter. "This arrived last night."
Mrs. Weasley opened the letter. "It's the school books," she announced.
"Which books do we need?" asked Ron.
"The standard book of spells, grade four, and you are supposed to bring your old divination and care of magical creatures books," said Mrs. Weasley. "OH!" she suddenly exclaimed. "You also need to read Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus, Trials of Apollo, The Demigod Files, and The Demigod Diaries before you go to Hogwarts."
"WHAT?! SUMMER READING?!" exclaimed Ron.
"Yes, and they are muggle books." added Mrs. Weasley.
"THAT IS A DISGRACE!" yelled Ron.
"And if you don't read it you will not be accepted to Hogwarts this year," added Mrs. Weasley.
"DUMBLEDORE'S OFF HIS ROCKER!" yelled Ron, before storming up to his room.
After we had come back from Diagon Alley, though, Ron was in a much better mood, as he read the muggle books we had bought. "Looks good," he remarked.
Two weeks later.
Ron was rereading the books for the fifth time. He loved the books.
Leo POV
I was in the forge, making three-headed arrows for the Apollo cabin, when Chiron bellowed "Jason, Percy, Annabeth, Piper, Nico, Will, Calypso and Leo, come to the main house."
I went to the main house. Everyone else was already there.
"What is it?" I asked. "I'm a busy man, you know."
Everyone rolled their eyes.
"Well," started Chiron, "Professor Dumbledore has asked to make our entrance as grand as possible. So, we will be traveling to Hogwarts on chariots." I groaned.
"What's the matter?" asked Chiron.
"Well, the forge is making a lot of money and we have to stop our business to make these chariots!
Chiron was amused. "Deal with it," he said.
